0:00:02 > 0:00:04I'm travelling stateside,

0:00:04 > 0:00:07to explore a slice of Americana like never before.

0:00:07 > 0:00:11ALL: ..of The United States of America.

0:00:11 > 0:00:13To get to the heart of the communities...

0:00:13 > 0:00:15I am positive that that is where Clark Kent grew up.

0:00:15 > 0:00:17..and the passions...

0:00:17 > 0:00:19That is one heck of a handshake. Look at this.

0:00:19 > 0:00:20That's a nice handful, isn't it?

0:00:20 > 0:00:23..of the country's most iconic footballing cities.

0:00:23 > 0:00:26Touchdown Patriots!

0:00:26 > 0:00:29First up, I'm heading to an unassuming Midwest town

0:00:29 > 0:00:32that's home to just 100,000 people.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34All right.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37Yet it proudly boasts one of America's most iconic sports teams.

0:00:39 > 0:00:41The Green Bay Packers.

0:00:44 > 0:00:46The team put this place on the map.

0:00:48 > 0:00:50This lady needs tickets.

0:00:50 > 0:00:53Green Bay Packers is owned by the community, by the people,

0:00:53 > 0:00:56they don't work for us, they are part of us.

0:00:56 > 0:00:58But beyond the football...

0:00:58 > 0:01:01I feel nowhere near as glamorous as I should sat next to you.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03..I want to get under the skin of the people.

0:01:03 > 0:01:04How will I know what house is yours?

0:01:04 > 0:01:08It's got a big Super Bowl trophy carved out of a tree.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10The culture...

0:01:10 > 0:01:13I have never been hunting before, on land or on water.

0:01:13 > 0:01:14..and the town itself.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17You live and die Green Bay Packers when you live in Green Bay,

0:01:17 > 0:01:19you don't have a choice.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22Welcome to Green Bay.

0:01:31 > 0:01:33RADIO PLAYS

0:01:33 > 0:01:36'It is a couple minutes after nine o'clock as we gear up...'

0:01:40 > 0:01:43I've been to America 100 times before,

0:01:43 > 0:01:45but I've never experienced small-town life.

0:01:45 > 0:01:47As a big city kid born and raised,

0:01:47 > 0:01:50you spend your entire life having the world at your fingertips,

0:01:50 > 0:01:52having everything around you.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54But if you are in this town,

0:01:54 > 0:01:57what is there to do apart from going to see the Packers?

0:01:57 > 0:01:59What is making this town buzz,

0:01:59 > 0:02:02what is making this town excited, apart from the football?

0:02:05 > 0:02:09At the moment, I don't know. Ted's got a new lawnmower, maybe.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19There it is,

0:02:19 > 0:02:23you've got people's homes right here, and in their back garden,

0:02:23 > 0:02:25kind of got something overlooking it.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27I don't know if you've noticed,

0:02:27 > 0:02:29there's something huge just over there.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34I can't believe that. That is just nuts, isn't it?

0:02:37 > 0:02:39Look at the size of this.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43When you think about small towns in the UK,

0:02:43 > 0:02:46and small clubs in the Premier League,

0:02:46 > 0:02:48those little towns and little clubs

0:02:48 > 0:02:51have stadiums that hold 30,000 people.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54We are in a town that has 100,000 people

0:02:54 > 0:02:58and they've got this. Look at the size of that thing.

0:02:58 > 0:03:02I almost felt more proud than I've ever felt when I walked into the

0:03:02 > 0:03:05brand-new Arsenal stadium and it held a massive 60,000 people and

0:03:05 > 0:03:09I was like, "Look at this!" That's just ruined that moment, hasn't it?

0:03:09 > 0:03:11Cheers, Green Bay. I've only just got off the plane

0:03:11 > 0:03:15and you are already making me feel tiny, inferior.

0:03:15 > 0:03:19If your local club has a stadium that size,

0:03:19 > 0:03:22how many people locally support the club?

0:03:22 > 0:03:24How many people love the club?

0:03:24 > 0:03:28How many people are fanatical enough to make this exist,

0:03:28 > 0:03:30and to fill this every week?

0:03:33 > 0:03:39American football is by far the biggest and most passionately followed sport in the USA.

0:03:40 > 0:03:42And next Sunday,

0:03:42 > 0:03:46I'll be one of 80,000 supporters taking a seat at Lambeau Field

0:03:46 > 0:03:48for my first ever match.

0:03:48 > 0:03:52It's a local derby against one of the Packers' most fierce rivals,

0:03:52 > 0:03:53the Detroit Lions.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59To understand what the Packers mean to Green Bay,

0:03:59 > 0:04:01I want to meet the people who live here.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04And I'm starting with the town's newest arrival.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07Hello, guys. I'm sorry to disturb you mid-session,

0:04:07 > 0:04:10but I heard there was a baby with a Green Bay Packers hat on,

0:04:10 > 0:04:12and I think I've found the baby.

0:04:12 > 0:04:14This is Grayson. Hello, Grayson.

0:04:14 > 0:04:16We were just here for a checkup.

0:04:16 > 0:04:20OK, how old is Grayson? He's 20 days. 20 days.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23So I take it you are a big Green Bay Packers fan?

0:04:23 > 0:04:27Absolutely. The baby has no choice but to be a fan.

0:04:27 > 0:04:29Absolutely. It's just the life.

0:04:29 > 0:04:32You live it and we've been coming to Bellin,

0:04:32 > 0:04:34like I am with Grayson today,

0:04:34 > 0:04:38everything is Packers, Packers, Packers, and it's exciting.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41He literally was born into Packer culture.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44We actually had him the day of a Packer game,

0:04:44 > 0:04:47I had to leave my house during a Packer game.

0:04:47 > 0:04:51You say that like it is sacrilege. It was.

0:04:51 > 0:04:56It was because I'm like watching the game, we had to DVR it,

0:04:56 > 0:04:58in case we missed anything good.

0:04:58 > 0:05:00We made our way to the hospital

0:05:00 > 0:05:03and then put the game on right away in the delivery room

0:05:03 > 0:05:05because I couldn't miss much of it.

0:05:05 > 0:05:08Getting a season ticket for my local club, the Arsenal,

0:05:08 > 0:05:10was the proudest day of my life ever.

0:05:10 > 0:05:12Are you a season ticket holder for the Green Bay Packers?

0:05:12 > 0:05:14I'm not a season ticket holder,

0:05:14 > 0:05:17but actually we are taking him Friday to go get him signed up.

0:05:17 > 0:05:21Hang on a second, this is a newborn baby, this is a 20-day-old baby.

0:05:21 > 0:05:23Why are you signing baby up so early?

0:05:23 > 0:05:25You know, it takes a while to get the tickets.

0:05:25 > 0:05:29I mean, in my lifetime, I probably won't be able to get season tickets,

0:05:29 > 0:05:32it just takes that long because people love the Packers so much

0:05:32 > 0:05:35that they just want to be signed up.

0:05:35 > 0:05:36So we have to start him early,

0:05:36 > 0:05:40and what better way than to go actually to Lambeau Field,

0:05:40 > 0:05:42sign him up and get him on the list?

0:05:44 > 0:05:47I thought I was one of those uber fans who at the age of seven,

0:05:47 > 0:05:49I got my first Arsenal kit and I was like, "This is me,

0:05:49 > 0:05:51"this is the team I'm going to support for life."

0:05:51 > 0:05:57But I've come here and I've met a 20-day-old baby who was signing up for a season ticket.

0:05:57 > 0:05:59And apparently it's not an anomaly,

0:05:59 > 0:06:01this happens everywhere in this town,

0:06:01 > 0:06:04and that is something that is completely new to me.

0:06:12 > 0:06:15Sports teams around the world have passionate fans.

0:06:17 > 0:06:20But here in Green Bay, there are signs that this entire community

0:06:20 > 0:06:23is completely obsessed by the club.

0:06:23 > 0:06:28The city's nickname even references the Packers' glorious history.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30To get the official line on this ingrained allegiance,

0:06:30 > 0:06:32I'm going straight to the top.

0:06:33 > 0:06:36Do you think I'm dressed appropriately to meet the mayor?

0:06:36 > 0:06:39I've suddenly thought, "Should I be wearing a shirt and tie?"

0:06:39 > 0:06:40This could go horribly wrong.

0:06:40 > 0:06:43Sorry in advance if it does.

0:06:46 > 0:06:49The mayor has actually invited me to a council meeting.

0:06:49 > 0:06:51I'm going to have a look at his notes.

0:06:51 > 0:06:54One of the first things he is going to cover is Green Bay Packers related stuff.

0:06:54 > 0:06:58I mean, this is a council meeting, it's in an official looking room.

0:06:58 > 0:07:02And the guy is talking about football.

0:07:02 > 0:07:05Can you all please rise for the Pledge of Allegiance?

0:07:05 > 0:07:09ALL: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America,

0:07:09 > 0:07:12and to the Republic for which it stands,

0:07:12 > 0:07:14one nation under God,

0:07:14 > 0:07:18indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

0:07:20 > 0:07:24I would like to thank those of you who were in attendance last night,

0:07:24 > 0:07:27for the young life event,

0:07:27 > 0:07:30that was well attended by the Green Bay Packers

0:07:30 > 0:07:34and Jordy Nelson matched every donation last night,

0:07:34 > 0:07:36dollar for dollar.

0:07:36 > 0:07:40They're telling me we are in for a good weekend.

0:07:47 > 0:07:50All in favour of that motion, please say aye.

0:07:50 > 0:07:53All of those opposed...

0:07:56 > 0:07:58After serving for 12 years,

0:07:58 > 0:08:00Jim Schmitt is Green Bay's longest serving mayor

0:08:00 > 0:08:03and one of the Packers' most devoted fans.

0:08:03 > 0:08:04Welcome to Green Bay.

0:08:04 > 0:08:06Lovely to meet you. Thanks for having me.

0:08:06 > 0:08:09We love our home team here, the Green Bay Packers.

0:08:09 > 0:08:13The tie, sport card. Look at that.

0:08:13 > 0:08:15The other side too. No way.

0:08:15 > 0:08:16I wear the apparel

0:08:16 > 0:08:19and got some great gifts from the Packers.

0:08:19 > 0:08:22This was the Super Bowl we experienced down in Dallas.

0:08:22 > 0:08:24That's five years ago, right?

0:08:24 > 0:08:26Yes. And to go there and win the game is...

0:08:26 > 0:08:30It doesn't get much better. For that to happen while you are mayor,

0:08:30 > 0:08:32that must be a pretty special thing.

0:08:32 > 0:08:35I mean, it's... Look, and I know that.

0:08:35 > 0:08:38Not only is it great to be mayor of Green Bay,

0:08:38 > 0:08:41but with the Packers and have them win the Super Bowl,

0:08:41 > 0:08:44that doesn't happen very often.

0:08:44 > 0:08:46We are going to do that again.

0:08:46 > 0:08:47This is my certificate.

0:08:47 > 0:08:50A lot of people have stock in the Packers.

0:08:50 > 0:08:52I've got a few...

0:08:52 > 0:08:54We can't skim over this because this is a big deal.

0:08:54 > 0:08:57Look at that. The plaque, it says, "Green Bay Packers owner,"

0:08:57 > 0:09:01and then there's your name. To be an owner of the team you support.

0:09:01 > 0:09:03That's a pretty big deal.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06As unique as that is, a lot of people have that.

0:09:08 > 0:09:12We don't have one wealthy owner that controls the decisions,

0:09:12 > 0:09:16that decides if the team is going to move, take the profits.

0:09:16 > 0:09:20The ownership of the Green Bay Packers is owned by the community,

0:09:20 > 0:09:21by the people.

0:09:21 > 0:09:24They don't work for us, they are part of us.

0:09:24 > 0:09:26Were you born and raised here?

0:09:26 > 0:09:28Yes, I was born and raised in this community,

0:09:28 > 0:09:30so I'm a lifelong Packers fan.

0:09:30 > 0:09:33I was going to say, did you have any choice in choosing the club

0:09:33 > 0:09:36you support? Because it almost feels like if you decided, "You know what,

0:09:36 > 0:09:39"I'm going to be a Raiders fan," you would be kicked out of the town, surely.

0:09:39 > 0:09:41Well, I will tell you, Reggie,

0:09:41 > 0:09:44you would not be mayor if you weren't a Packer fan.

0:09:46 > 0:09:49Of all the 32 clubs in the NFL,

0:09:49 > 0:09:53the Packers are the only fan-owned, non-profit team in the league.

0:09:53 > 0:09:55Reaching for the goal-line.

0:09:55 > 0:09:57Touchdown! He's got it.

0:09:57 > 0:10:00Winners of a record 13 league championships...

0:10:00 > 0:10:03The Packers are Super Bowl bound.

0:10:03 > 0:10:06..and an impressive four Super Bowls...

0:10:06 > 0:10:11The Green Bay Packers are world champions of football.

0:10:11 > 0:10:15..the Packers are so steeped in NFL folklore that the iconic Super Bowl trophy

0:10:15 > 0:10:19is named after their legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

0:10:20 > 0:10:23The Vince Lombardi Trophy is coming home, where it started.

0:10:32 > 0:10:36Owning a slice of this fabled club isn't just for city officials

0:10:36 > 0:10:37and wealthy businessmen.

0:10:40 > 0:10:44I'm heading to meet the Froelich-Gloecklers, a typical family of lifelong fans,

0:10:44 > 0:10:48who are among the 360,000 devoted supporters

0:10:48 > 0:10:51who have proudly invested in the Packers.

0:10:53 > 0:10:57And the family home is situated just 52 steps from Lambeau Field.

0:10:57 > 0:11:01The front door's open. Look at that.

0:11:01 > 0:11:02Hey, I saw the door was open.

0:11:02 > 0:11:04I didn't want to assume I could just wander in.

0:11:04 > 0:11:06Hey, Bea. Good to see you.

0:11:06 > 0:11:09Yeah, that's the way they do it. They just walk in this house.

0:11:09 > 0:11:11I'm John. You're John?

0:11:11 > 0:11:12Hello, John. And who's this little excitable chap?

0:11:12 > 0:11:14Oh, this is Hammy.

0:11:14 > 0:11:17So, are you as big a fan as Grandma?

0:11:17 > 0:11:19Well, that's not possible.

0:11:19 > 0:11:21But I can get close.

0:11:21 > 0:11:25So, what's it like in the stands then across the street at the Packers' stadium?

0:11:25 > 0:11:28I'm going to be there this weekend. Oh, it's all business.

0:11:28 > 0:11:31You've got to have your game face on. Grandma will tell you.

0:11:31 > 0:11:33You can't cheer when the Packers are on offence.

0:11:33 > 0:11:35That doesn't make any sense.

0:11:35 > 0:11:37Surely, if they're going to score a touchdown,

0:11:37 > 0:11:40you're going to want to cheer? Well, after the touchdown is made,

0:11:40 > 0:11:42but not while they are deciding the play in the huddle.

0:11:42 > 0:11:45So, you are the person that shouts everyone else in the stand?

0:11:45 > 0:11:48Well, it makes me a little mad when they do that.

0:11:48 > 0:11:51Has Grandma ever started any rows in the stands then?

0:11:53 > 0:11:54She's feisty.

0:11:54 > 0:11:56Oh, really? She's feisty, yeah.

0:11:56 > 0:11:59Don't holler when Roger is out on the field.

0:11:59 > 0:12:02Noted. I don't want to get a tap from Grandma, that's for sure.

0:12:02 > 0:12:04Look at these stubs.

0:12:04 > 0:12:08Packer fanatic Bea became an owner in 1997

0:12:08 > 0:12:12for a modest $250 and has only missed one home game

0:12:12 > 0:12:14in the last 59 years.

0:12:14 > 0:12:15'83, that is a golden year.

0:12:15 > 0:12:17The year I was born. Year of champions.

0:12:17 > 0:12:20Ice Bowl. December 31st.

0:12:20 > 0:12:22Wow! That's history, right there.

0:12:22 > 0:12:26Two tickets. My husband's and mine. That's amazing.

0:12:28 > 0:12:31You're not that long out of university, right?

0:12:31 > 0:12:35And it almost feels as though the town is made up of families,

0:12:35 > 0:12:37as opposed to people of your age.

0:12:37 > 0:12:39Yeah. Cos most people go to the bigger cities nearby, right?

0:12:39 > 0:12:43Right, yes. That's exactly it. I love this town,

0:12:43 > 0:12:46but you don't see much of us 20-somethings wandering around.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49So, what is there to do?

0:12:49 > 0:12:52There's lots of sort of outdoorsy activities, I'm sure, right?

0:12:52 > 0:12:55Right, it's really great if you are into outdoorsy stuff

0:12:55 > 0:12:57and getting your hands dirty and...

0:12:57 > 0:13:00Is that your thing? Yeah, I'm into that.

0:13:00 > 0:13:02Oh, yeah? What are you good at then?

0:13:02 > 0:13:04What is your thing? Are you a hunter?

0:13:04 > 0:13:09Yeah, yeah. So, Grandpa and I, he's taken me hunting since I was four.

0:13:09 > 0:13:12Wow! Duck hunting out on the bay. Right.

0:13:12 > 0:13:14This is one of the best places in the world for that.

0:13:14 > 0:13:16I'm here for a couple of days. Do you mind if I join in?

0:13:16 > 0:13:19I'd love to learn a little bit about that.

0:13:19 > 0:13:22We will see what's biting. We can give it a shot.

0:13:22 > 0:13:26There is a horrible sort of epidemic that I've occasionally suffered from,

0:13:26 > 0:13:28which is big-city arrogance,

0:13:28 > 0:13:32where you don't really understand the workings of small-town life.

0:13:32 > 0:13:37Tonight, I've been exposed to a really lovely, little family unit.

0:13:37 > 0:13:39Everybody is talking about their relationship with the Packers,

0:13:39 > 0:13:41their relationship with the team.

0:13:41 > 0:13:45Clearly, family is a massive part of what makes this town so special.

0:13:45 > 0:13:49I think I'm starting to get closer to getting what this is all about.

0:13:54 > 0:13:57I've seen how football is big business here,

0:13:57 > 0:14:00but other traditional industries have taken a hit in recent years.

0:14:02 > 0:14:06In the face of recession and the financial crash of 2008,

0:14:06 > 0:14:10approximately 10% of Green Bay's local population

0:14:10 > 0:14:13now live below the poverty line.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15Awesome, life-saver.

0:14:15 > 0:14:18Waiting 45 minutes. Thank you so much.

0:14:18 > 0:14:22This is somebody's starting point when they come and enter shelter. Right.

0:14:22 > 0:14:26I am visiting a local shelter that provides a roof and hot meals

0:14:26 > 0:14:29to the people struggling to make ends meet.

0:14:29 > 0:14:31So, there seems to be a lot of people that need help?

0:14:31 > 0:14:35There are. And I think, with our meal programme,

0:14:35 > 0:14:37the idea behind that is that,

0:14:37 > 0:14:41if we can help people stay in their apartments, stay in their homes,

0:14:41 > 0:14:44pay their medical bills by providing them a meal,

0:14:44 > 0:14:48then we are preventing a whole lot of people from maybe becoming homeless.

0:14:48 > 0:14:50To try and raise vital funds,

0:14:50 > 0:14:53it is important that the shelter taps into the Packer brand,

0:14:53 > 0:14:57which generates over $12 million for the local economy at every home match.

0:14:57 > 0:15:01Start from the beginning and make this car.

0:15:01 > 0:15:03Right, so... Is it going to be a boo-boo scarf?

0:15:03 > 0:15:05Is it going to be a boo-boo scarf?

0:15:05 > 0:15:09I'll have you know I've got a very steady hand, thank you very much.

0:15:09 > 0:15:13All right, I hope you're ready for the most amazing scarf ever seen.

0:15:13 > 0:15:15Usually what I do is I start in the middle.

0:15:15 > 0:15:17Yes. So that you can kind of...

0:15:17 > 0:15:19And you want to have it be the length of the scissors.

0:15:19 > 0:15:21And a swoop.

0:15:21 > 0:15:23OK. All right.

0:15:23 > 0:15:24Remember, one swoop.

0:15:24 > 0:15:26Not woop, woop, woop. It's one swoop.

0:15:26 > 0:15:28One swoop. Or you get little jaggies in there.

0:15:28 > 0:15:29OK. One swoop.

0:15:29 > 0:15:32You can stand if you want to. Woo!

0:15:37 > 0:15:40You are dealing with a pro. Still have all your fingers?

0:15:40 > 0:15:42You are dealing with a pro, ladies.

0:15:42 > 0:15:44Now, we are going to move on to cutting holes. OK.

0:15:44 > 0:15:48I feel nowhere near as glamorous as I should sat next to you. Oh!

0:15:48 > 0:15:51How long does this normally take for most people?

0:15:51 > 0:15:54Five seconds for the seasoned hole-cutters.

0:15:58 > 0:16:00That's not bad. You're getting there.

0:16:00 > 0:16:03I'm getting there. So, how much are you selling these at a time?

0:16:03 > 0:16:04These sell for $10.

0:16:04 > 0:16:07$10 a time. And all of that money is coming back?

0:16:07 > 0:16:09Right back into our shelters.

0:16:09 > 0:16:12So, how many scarves do you think you've actually produced since you started?

0:16:12 > 0:16:16Oh, my gosh. What, 20,000?

0:16:16 > 0:16:18Probably, yes. That's incredible. 20,000 to 25,000.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21Did you expect it to be as successful as it has been?

0:16:21 > 0:16:23Absolutely no, I did not think this would happen.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25I thought we'd make a couple of hundred bucks.

0:16:25 > 0:16:26And now... And be done with it.

0:16:26 > 0:16:28$50,000 later.

0:16:28 > 0:16:30Correct. That's absolutely incredible.

0:16:30 > 0:16:33This impressive production line is made up of volunteers,

0:16:33 > 0:16:36including shelter resident Pete,

0:16:36 > 0:16:39who found himself homeless a year ago and is being helped by the charity.

0:16:39 > 0:16:41How long have you been here?

0:16:41 > 0:16:42About six weeks.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45How are you finding it? It's quite an opportunity.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48And why do you describe being here as "an opportunity"?

0:16:48 > 0:16:50It's an opportunity to become independent

0:16:50 > 0:16:53and a productive member of the community.

0:16:53 > 0:16:56And it's quite a collaboration that goes on.

0:16:56 > 0:16:57Yes. That makes that happen.

0:16:57 > 0:17:00How many people are living in the shelter at the moment?

0:17:00 > 0:17:02I believe it holds 96.

0:17:02 > 0:17:03It might be close to 80.

0:17:03 > 0:17:05Quite a lot of people as well.

0:17:05 > 0:17:06With the people that you've met,

0:17:06 > 0:17:10what would you say you've learnt about the town?

0:17:10 > 0:17:11Erm...

0:17:11 > 0:17:14That all kinds of people can get together

0:17:14 > 0:17:16and everybody is pretty helpful.

0:17:16 > 0:17:18It's a really nice collaboration.

0:17:22 > 0:17:23It's freezing outside today.

0:17:23 > 0:17:27At the moment, just over there, we can actually put the camera on it,

0:17:27 > 0:17:29there's a whole line of people.

0:17:29 > 0:17:31And when I say people, I mean families.

0:17:31 > 0:17:33There's mums with young kids,

0:17:33 > 0:17:35there's fathers holding babies in their arms,

0:17:35 > 0:17:38who are coming in here to get a hot meal for the night.

0:17:38 > 0:17:41And this massive dining hall is about to be full of people

0:17:41 > 0:17:45because 200 to maybe 300 people will be in here tonight having dinner

0:17:45 > 0:17:48off the back of the donations from the scarves

0:17:48 > 0:17:50and off the back of donations to the shelter itself.

0:17:50 > 0:17:53This place is doing an amazing thing and it's incredible

0:17:53 > 0:17:57where the money is coming from this is actually making it work.

0:18:01 > 0:18:03Thank you. Yes, please.

0:18:05 > 0:18:07Thank you.

0:18:13 > 0:18:17The fanatic adulation of the town propels players to superstardom

0:18:17 > 0:18:19and intense media scrutiny.

0:18:21 > 0:18:24In a town of just 100,000 people,

0:18:24 > 0:18:27what is it like to live your life in a goldfish bowl?

0:18:27 > 0:18:28How are you doing?

0:18:28 > 0:18:30You all right? Good. You are a brave man,

0:18:30 > 0:18:33coming out here in just a T-shirt and flip-flops, man.

0:18:33 > 0:18:36Offensive tackle David Bakhtiari has established himself as

0:18:36 > 0:18:38one of the key players within the side

0:18:38 > 0:18:43and has become a fan favourite since signing in 2013.

0:18:43 > 0:18:45How does it feel being a Green Bay Packer, because, you know,

0:18:45 > 0:18:48this is a very unique club and a very unique set-up here?

0:18:48 > 0:18:51Er, it's pretty awesome, I'm not going to lie.

0:18:51 > 0:18:53Out here it's,

0:18:53 > 0:18:54you've got the best fans in

0:18:54 > 0:18:56the United States, in my opinion.

0:18:56 > 0:18:59Yes. The stadium, it speaks for itself.

0:18:59 > 0:19:01Between the amount of people that filled the space

0:19:01 > 0:19:05and some of the names of some of the greats that our surrounding

0:19:05 > 0:19:08the top tier of the place, do you feel a level of pressure

0:19:08 > 0:19:10because, again, it doesn't just end here?

0:19:10 > 0:19:12This culture has been accustomed to winning,

0:19:12 > 0:19:14so you kind of have a standard.

0:19:14 > 0:19:16You've got to win games, you know. Here, this is title town.

0:19:16 > 0:19:20This is where the Lombardi Trophy was...

0:19:20 > 0:19:24Gets its name, so there's definitely a standard here that is higher among

0:19:24 > 0:19:28other teams in other cities. So, for those that might not know much about

0:19:28 > 0:19:30the team and might not know much about you,

0:19:30 > 0:19:32can you explain your role as part of the Packers

0:19:32 > 0:19:34and what you do on the pitch? Basically,

0:19:34 > 0:19:37keep the defenders from tackling anyone who touches the ball.

0:19:37 > 0:19:39So, when you run the ball, we try and open holes,

0:19:39 > 0:19:41so the running back has a crease to run through.

0:19:41 > 0:19:43For the quarterback, when he wants to throw a football,

0:19:43 > 0:19:44we try and keep a pocket clean for him.

0:19:44 > 0:19:46We are basically keeping guys away from anyone

0:19:46 > 0:19:48who holds the ball at that point in time.

0:19:48 > 0:19:50So, that's a super physical role. Yes.

0:19:50 > 0:19:53So, basically, outside of the sport, if we got into a row,

0:19:53 > 0:19:55I wouldn't want you running at me.

0:19:55 > 0:19:57I could push you, or I could move...

0:19:57 > 0:19:59I'm really good at moving things, when needed.

0:19:59 > 0:20:01I guess I'm a glorified sumo wrestler.

0:20:01 > 0:20:02Do you want to finish that thought?

0:20:02 > 0:20:05You could push me... What? How far?

0:20:05 > 0:20:08However far I need to push you, I guess.

0:20:08 > 0:20:11So, you guys have had two losses back-to-back and I'm sure, as a player,

0:20:11 > 0:20:14that can't be the nicest stat in the world to be reminded of.

0:20:14 > 0:20:16Just putting it out there...

0:20:16 > 0:20:20Should things not go to plan, and it's three losses back-to-back,

0:20:20 > 0:20:23how is this community going to react? You can't put that omen out there... I'm sorry.

0:20:23 > 0:20:26There's some wood to touch. There you go. You are clearly not superstitious.

0:20:26 > 0:20:31No, not at all. By any means. How does this community react to something like that? Erm...

0:20:31 > 0:20:34I mean... Of course, no-one's really going to be happy,

0:20:34 > 0:20:35but very supportive.

0:20:35 > 0:20:37They are going to rally behind us. "What can we do?

0:20:37 > 0:20:39"Anything we can help with? "We can scream louder."

0:20:39 > 0:20:41I know our fans are great, at the end of the day.

0:20:41 > 0:20:43It's not... No-one...

0:20:43 > 0:20:45This place is going to fill up, no matter what.

0:20:45 > 0:20:48Regardless of the record, regardless of how many losses we have in a row.

0:20:48 > 0:20:49But we're not thinking like that.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52We are going to think in positive. We know we are going to go out there

0:20:52 > 0:20:55and we are going to do our best. And with our best, we are going to win. Well, good luck.

0:20:55 > 0:20:56Thank you. Let's get that win.

0:20:56 > 0:20:59Yes, sir. Go, Packers, go. Did I say that right?

0:20:59 > 0:21:00Go, Pack, go. Oh, how embarrassing.

0:21:00 > 0:21:03Go, Pack, go. But you've got to have a little more enthusiasm.

0:21:03 > 0:21:05Oh, sorry. Go...! So, I can shout?

0:21:05 > 0:21:06Yes, you can. There's an echo.

0:21:06 > 0:21:09Go, Pack, go! We'll work on it.

0:21:09 > 0:21:10We'll work on it.

0:21:12 > 0:21:14You know, off the back of chatting to David

0:21:14 > 0:21:16ahead of the game on Sunday,

0:21:16 > 0:21:19I never thought I'd say this, but I feel a little bit more not only

0:21:19 > 0:21:20knowledgeable about the game,

0:21:20 > 0:21:23but also invested in what is going to happen

0:21:23 > 0:21:26because it clearly means a hell of a lot to everyone who is in the stands.

0:21:26 > 0:21:28The fans, you know?

0:21:28 > 0:21:30They really want this to be a success.

0:21:30 > 0:21:32But the players are the same. They want to win.

0:21:32 > 0:21:35They've had two losses back-to-back and a win for them

0:21:35 > 0:21:39isn't just a win for the team, it's a win for the town, as well.

0:21:39 > 0:21:41So, it's a big deal.

0:21:46 > 0:21:48WIXX, this is 101...

0:21:48 > 0:21:52Are you guys expecting lights and cameras? Look at this.

0:21:52 > 0:21:55Tonight, I am joining Bea for a fans' Q and A,

0:21:55 > 0:21:57hosted by Packers star player Micah Hyde.

0:21:57 > 0:22:01All right! Micah Hyde, the special Packer guest will join us.

0:22:01 > 0:22:03It may look like a press conference,

0:22:03 > 0:22:07but these are ordinary fans who all want the opportunity to share

0:22:07 > 0:22:08the room with the players they love.

0:22:08 > 0:22:11Hello, Mr Hyde. How are you doing? Good, how are you?

0:22:11 > 0:22:14Yeah, I'm all right.

0:22:14 > 0:22:18It doesn't matter if you win or lose, we still love you.

0:22:18 > 0:22:20Thank you, I appreciate that.

0:22:20 > 0:22:21That means a lot.

0:22:24 > 0:22:27The thing about this is, this is a pro athlete who is hosting his own

0:22:27 > 0:22:31radio show. And in front of a live audience, as well as thousands,

0:22:31 > 0:22:35or maybe hundreds of thousands of people listening at home.

0:22:35 > 0:22:40This is... This is just a very, very strange and unique experience.

0:22:40 > 0:22:44Let's meet your guest. This guy has been playing very well for us.

0:22:44 > 0:22:46And making plays, making plays on offence.

0:22:46 > 0:22:48And making plays on special teams.

0:22:48 > 0:22:50Oh! Justin Perillo. Oh, Justin Perillo.

0:22:50 > 0:22:52Thanks for having me.

0:22:52 > 0:22:55Welcome, Justin. Thanks for having me.

0:22:55 > 0:23:00Green Bay fans have the opportunity to ask the players anything they like.

0:23:00 > 0:23:04In a bromance, would you be Batman, or would you want to be Jason Bourne?

0:23:04 > 0:23:06I'm going with Batman, yeah.

0:23:06 > 0:23:10For sure. These two guys are with you.

0:23:10 > 0:23:12Young Tristan, fire away, buddy.

0:23:12 > 0:23:14What's it like to be on the Packers?

0:23:14 > 0:23:17It's awesome. Just so much history in the organisation.

0:23:17 > 0:23:19It's such a great organisation too.

0:23:19 > 0:23:22Go ahead, Reggie. Hello. Reg from London.

0:23:22 > 0:23:24Do you watch British football?

0:23:24 > 0:23:26And do you realise it's the superior sport?

0:23:26 > 0:23:30Wow!

0:23:30 > 0:23:33Erm... No, I don't.

0:23:33 > 0:23:36Actually... I don't, but I guess I got to start watching it now.

0:23:36 > 0:23:38All due respect to the folks from England here,

0:23:38 > 0:23:41but I think American football is by far superior.

0:23:45 > 0:23:48These players, they are millionaires.

0:23:48 > 0:23:49They play for a huge team.

0:23:49 > 0:23:54They appear on television in games that are watched by millions of people.

0:23:54 > 0:23:57And they are out here, in this tiny little studio,

0:23:57 > 0:24:00talking to fans from a small town on a real personal level.

0:24:00 > 0:24:02And you just don't get that.

0:24:02 > 0:24:06Definitely not when it comes to these squillionaires in the Premier League.

0:24:19 > 0:24:21Game day is fast approaching,

0:24:21 > 0:24:25but this morning I am heading to the stadium for a different reason.

0:24:25 > 0:24:28It's a big day for newborn baby Grayson.

0:24:28 > 0:24:31He has no idea what's happening right now.

0:24:31 > 0:24:34No. Look at that. But he will be appreciative when he's older.

0:24:34 > 0:24:38Is it commonplace then to sign up a baby this young for a season ticket?

0:24:38 > 0:24:41It's very much commonplace.

0:24:41 > 0:24:45My sister, her two young kids, two and five, they are both signed up.

0:24:45 > 0:24:47And let the waiting begin.

0:24:47 > 0:24:50Realistically, how long do we think it's going to actually take for baby

0:24:50 > 0:24:52Grayson to finally receive his season ticket?

0:24:52 > 0:24:5420 to 40 years.

0:24:54 > 0:24:56Yes, 20 to 40 years, probably.

0:24:56 > 0:24:57Wow. We'll be old.

0:24:57 > 0:25:00That's incredible. The waiting list is huge.

0:25:00 > 0:25:02We are on the waiting list ourselves.

0:25:02 > 0:25:04And we are in the 100,000...

0:25:04 > 0:25:07I was going to say, do you know your number on the waiting list?

0:25:07 > 0:25:11I don't, but I know it's like in the 110,000 range.

0:25:11 > 0:25:13Wow, that's a long way off.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15Yeah, so there's a lot of people to go through to get to us.

0:25:15 > 0:25:18Yes. All right. We've put Grayson on the waiting list.

0:25:18 > 0:25:20OK. There's the card confirming it.

0:25:20 > 0:25:22Great. Thank you. Thank you so much.

0:25:22 > 0:25:26All right, well, he's only 117,957.

0:25:26 > 0:25:27Wow. On the waiting list.

0:25:27 > 0:25:29No way. It's a long old way to go.

0:25:35 > 0:25:38I didn't think it was possible for things to be quieter

0:25:38 > 0:25:40than they were.

0:25:40 > 0:25:43It's kind of nice, though, to get away.

0:25:44 > 0:25:47I'm heading out to one of Green Bay's famous lakes with John,

0:25:47 > 0:25:51to encounter, aside from football, his favourite pastime.

0:25:51 > 0:25:53All right, so, what are we wearing, bro?

0:25:53 > 0:25:56We've got to get you outfitted first, Mr Hollywood.

0:25:56 > 0:25:58It's like the world's ugliest sneakers, man.

0:25:58 > 0:26:01As you've probably guessed, I have never been hunting before.

0:26:01 > 0:26:03No! On land or on water.

0:26:03 > 0:26:06No!

0:26:06 > 0:26:07Great.

0:26:09 > 0:26:10All the gear and no idea.

0:26:13 > 0:26:15It is definitely a surreal moment for me.

0:26:15 > 0:26:19I'm going to try my hardest to avoid being the guy that actually uses one

0:26:19 > 0:26:22of these. Because I don't know how much I want to actually shoot a duck.

0:26:22 > 0:26:24I don't think I want to do that today.

0:26:24 > 0:26:27Even if it is something that John does on a regular basis.

0:26:27 > 0:26:29And, you know, this is normal for John,

0:26:29 > 0:26:31but it definitely isn't normal for me.

0:26:31 > 0:26:33So, hopefully, hopefully, he'll get that.

0:26:33 > 0:26:36I actually think I've lost him.

0:26:36 > 0:26:38I should probably keep up.

0:26:38 > 0:26:39John?

0:26:40 > 0:26:43All right, so this is it.

0:26:43 > 0:26:45We've made it? Yeah.

0:26:45 > 0:26:47This is where we're going to get 'em.

0:26:47 > 0:26:49Now, it seems pretty duckless right now.

0:26:49 > 0:26:53Right now. And, if you're not watching, they are out there.

0:26:53 > 0:26:56Duck for dinner. So, what do we do?

0:26:56 > 0:26:57We go out there and... Yep.

0:26:57 > 0:26:59We're just going to start throwing them.

0:26:59 > 0:27:02When was the last time you stacked it and fell in?

0:27:03 > 0:27:05Never. OK.

0:27:05 > 0:27:06Space them out real good.

0:27:06 > 0:27:08It looks natural that way.

0:27:08 > 0:27:10What am I doing?

0:27:10 > 0:27:12Nothing to be scared of here.

0:27:12 > 0:27:13Are you ready, chief?

0:27:13 > 0:27:17I'm ready. I'm ready. There's definitely a shrivel situation happening in my trousers.

0:27:17 > 0:27:21Beyond that, I'm ready. All right, let's go. Let's do it.

0:27:21 > 0:27:24Yes. Got some important things for you.

0:27:24 > 0:27:27Here's your gun. Look at this!

0:27:27 > 0:27:28Look at this thing!

0:27:28 > 0:27:31Don't they give this to two-year-olds at Christmas?

0:27:31 > 0:27:33If you are good.

0:27:33 > 0:27:36You're going to be using that and I'm going to be using this?

0:27:36 > 0:27:37Yes.

0:27:37 > 0:27:40What on earth...? We're going to go and get us some ducks.

0:27:40 > 0:27:44A slight difference between our weaponry.

0:27:45 > 0:27:48I've got a feeling John doesn't trust me much.

0:27:48 > 0:27:51You don't trust me, do you, John? Come on, buddy. OK.

0:28:06 > 0:28:09I'm not going to lie, it doesn't look like we're going to see anything any time soon.

0:28:09 > 0:28:12No, no. It looks really quiet out there.

0:28:12 > 0:28:15It's not looking promising. Maybe you can help me swot up on tomorrow

0:28:15 > 0:28:18because it's the big game. Yes. And I've never seen one before.

0:28:18 > 0:28:22What do you guys do to entertain yourselves on the stand?

0:28:22 > 0:28:25You watch the game. But it's going on for three hours.

0:28:25 > 0:28:27Do you not sing? Do you not chant? Do you not eat hot dogs?

0:28:27 > 0:28:30So, there's the Packer chant that we are kind of known for.

0:28:30 > 0:28:32And what does it sound like? It's going to go...

0:28:32 > 0:28:35HE HUMS

0:28:35 > 0:28:38And then that's where you come in... Go, Pack, go!

0:28:38 > 0:28:40OK. Let's have a practice. You want to practise?

0:28:40 > 0:28:41Yes, let's do it. OK.

0:28:43 > 0:28:45Go, Pack, go! OK, but it's got to be in beat.

0:28:45 > 0:28:47What are you talking about? There's a beat to it.

0:28:47 > 0:28:51Dude, I was born with rhythm. What are you chatting about?

0:28:52 > 0:28:55Go, Pack, go!

0:28:57 > 0:28:59Go, Pack, go!

0:28:59 > 0:29:02Are there any other songs apart from that? Erm...

0:29:02 > 0:29:05You don't have... Ooh to, ooh to be, ooh to be a...

0:29:05 > 0:29:08Gooner! You don't sing that?

0:29:08 > 0:29:10I don't even know what you said. What?

0:29:10 > 0:29:13Actually, that's some north London stuff right there, man.

0:29:13 > 0:29:15Yeah? That takes a lot of work, to get that level.

0:29:15 > 0:29:17All right. All right. We'll build up to that.

0:29:17 > 0:29:18Ooh, hey, hey, hey!

0:29:20 > 0:29:23I think we've got a duck. Oh, man.

0:29:23 > 0:29:25I wish I'd seen them.

0:29:25 > 0:29:26They just went? Yes.

0:29:26 > 0:29:30Should I have been blowing this? Well, something got them to come in.

0:29:30 > 0:29:32Maybe that was it.

0:29:32 > 0:29:36DUCK CALL SOUNDS

0:29:36 > 0:29:39I think my presence is putting off the ducks.

0:29:39 > 0:29:42We are not exactly having much luck, but that doesn't seem to matter.

0:29:42 > 0:29:45Top you up? Oh, thank you very much.

0:29:45 > 0:29:49Why do you think people like me from the bigger cities

0:29:49 > 0:29:51don't really understand this bit of your culture,

0:29:51 > 0:29:54this whole idea of coming out here and hunting?

0:29:54 > 0:29:57Because the idea of killing a duck doesn't really...

0:29:57 > 0:29:58Doesn't really appeal.

0:29:58 > 0:30:00That's the worst part, to be honest.

0:30:00 > 0:30:02I don't enjoy that either.

0:30:02 > 0:30:04But it's not about that.

0:30:04 > 0:30:08We had more fun coming out here on sunny days like today

0:30:08 > 0:30:13when there are no ducks flying and just talking, hanging out.

0:30:13 > 0:30:17Heading out to the lake is a tradition started with his grandpa

0:30:17 > 0:30:19when John was just four years old.

0:30:19 > 0:30:21There are certain things that Grandpa and I did, you know?

0:30:21 > 0:30:24You took the rolls and the cocoa.

0:30:24 > 0:30:26I haven't done it since Grandpa died.

0:30:26 > 0:30:27This is special. Aw.

0:30:27 > 0:30:29Yeah. Thank you for sharing it with me, man.

0:30:29 > 0:30:31You bet. I appreciate that.

0:30:34 > 0:30:36I think through meeting you guys,

0:30:36 > 0:30:39I'm starting to see what it means to actually be a resident in one of

0:30:39 > 0:30:42these towns that I would usually sort of drive through and go,

0:30:42 > 0:30:44"Oh, I can't imagine ever living there."

0:30:44 > 0:30:46Yeah, I'll follow you. All right.

0:30:46 > 0:30:47Oh, am I leading the way back, yeah?

0:30:47 > 0:30:49You know where we came from.

0:30:49 > 0:30:51This could go horribly wrong.

0:30:51 > 0:30:55John's a really lovely guy and doing this with him is kind of cool

0:30:55 > 0:30:57because he not only explained it all,

0:30:57 > 0:30:59made me feel like I was part of it,

0:30:59 > 0:31:01but also made me understand why he has loved it so much

0:31:01 > 0:31:04and also why it has been such a huge part of what his family does

0:31:04 > 0:31:07and the fact that this is something he did with his grandfather,

0:31:07 > 0:31:11who is no longer with us, says to me that this is something

0:31:11 > 0:31:13that is really special to him.

0:31:22 > 0:31:25101 WIXX, it is Murphy in the morning, along with Kitty and Nick.

0:31:25 > 0:31:27Just a couple of minutes after seven o'clock.

0:31:27 > 0:31:29Big game at Lambeau, everybody's excited.

0:31:29 > 0:31:32What are your thoughts? Those stupid Lions! I hate the Lions.

0:31:32 > 0:31:35They have not won here in like 137 years. No...

0:31:35 > 0:31:36Hey!

0:31:38 > 0:31:40Anybody got a ticket?

0:31:40 > 0:31:43It's finally here, game day.

0:31:44 > 0:31:49It's only 8.30am and the town is busier than I have seen it all week.

0:31:49 > 0:31:51Go, Pack, go!

0:31:51 > 0:31:54Festivities are high and it seems like a massive party

0:31:54 > 0:31:57is already kicking off near the stadium.

0:31:57 > 0:32:00ALL: Go, Pack, go! Go, Pack, go!

0:32:00 > 0:32:03You definitely ain't seeing any of this outside my favourite club

0:32:03 > 0:32:04three and a half hours before kick-off,

0:32:04 > 0:32:06people are still in their beds.

0:32:06 > 0:32:08It's an early kick-off today, let me just make that clear,

0:32:08 > 0:32:10it's 8.30 in the morning.

0:32:10 > 0:32:14In the parking lot, die-hard fans are gathering to tailgate,

0:32:14 > 0:32:16an important pregame ritual.

0:32:16 > 0:32:17Hello. How are you doing?

0:32:17 > 0:32:19I'm good. Not as good as you.

0:32:19 > 0:32:21Are you from the UK? I am.

0:32:21 > 0:32:25OK, I get the feeling that you are a bit of a big fan.

0:32:25 > 0:32:26I'm a typical Packer fan.

0:32:26 > 0:32:29Oh, yeah? Yeah!

0:32:30 > 0:32:33You have got a couple of those incredible Super Bowl rings on as well.

0:32:33 > 0:32:35Yes, I've got to put on my shareholder ring right now.

0:32:35 > 0:32:37OK, so you are a shareholder? Yeah.

0:32:37 > 0:32:39When did you buy your stock?

0:32:39 > 0:32:42'97 and 2011, so I have two shares.

0:32:42 > 0:32:44What do you have to do to get a ring that size?

0:32:44 > 0:32:46Well, not when you get 10 or 11 or 12,

0:32:46 > 0:32:49when you get 13 World Championships, they get that big.

0:32:49 > 0:32:52That's incredible. 13-time World Champion, Green Bay Packers.

0:32:52 > 0:32:55And do you tailgate before every game?

0:32:55 > 0:32:58Oh, yeah! And how big a part of the experience is this for you?

0:32:58 > 0:33:01It has grown... It's the relationship.

0:33:01 > 0:33:03It's, you know, it's meeting people,

0:33:03 > 0:33:04I meet people from all over the world.

0:33:04 > 0:33:07OK, the thing that I'm trying to get my head around is the fact that we

0:33:07 > 0:33:10are here two and a half, what, three and a half hours, sorry,

0:33:10 > 0:33:12before kick-off. This is insane.

0:33:12 > 0:33:14It's so early. It's a little late.

0:33:14 > 0:33:16We usually get here... They open up the lot at four hours ahead of time

0:33:16 > 0:33:19and then we get out here two hours ahead of time and park and wait

0:33:19 > 0:33:21so we can get the key spot that we want.

0:33:21 > 0:33:23Oh, wow. So it starts six hours before kick-off.

0:33:23 > 0:33:25Oh, my goodness. Sleep is overrated. You're knackered.

0:33:25 > 0:33:27All right, I'm going to go in there and I'm going to try

0:33:27 > 0:33:30and find a hot dog, right? Go to Brock, go to Brock.

0:33:30 > 0:33:34Brock, OK, I'm on it. One last thing. What's that? Go, Pack, go!

0:33:45 > 0:33:47People are really, really pushing the boat out.

0:33:47 > 0:33:49It's an amazing family atmosphere here.

0:33:49 > 0:33:52We've got people sort of shouting at each other, offering food.

0:33:52 > 0:33:55Sorry, bro. I just heard someone shout at their neighbour,

0:33:55 > 0:33:58"Hey, do you want some chips?" It's like, it's not rowdy at all,

0:33:58 > 0:34:01it's like a really nice sort of family gathering

0:34:01 > 0:34:05and it seems as though this end is a little quieter than that end.

0:34:05 > 0:34:08I think it gets less and less crazy the further down you go.

0:34:08 > 0:34:12I've just seen a bowl of M, this is definitely the less crazy end.

0:34:18 > 0:34:21It's hard not to get caught up in the atmosphere, I mean,

0:34:21 > 0:34:26between tailgating and all this colour and excitement and beer...

0:34:27 > 0:34:30..you can't help but not be part of the...

0:34:30 > 0:34:32Part of the vibe, it's great.

0:34:32 > 0:34:35I walked out of this tunnel when this place was empty

0:34:35 > 0:34:40and now doing it while the place is full... Oh...

0:34:40 > 0:34:45It's a completely different experience, look at this. Whoa!

0:35:15 > 0:35:18This is incredible. I mean, there's a good 20,

0:35:18 > 0:35:23maybe 30,000 more people here than at home games I am used to.

0:35:23 > 0:35:27NATIONAL ANTHEM PLAYS

0:36:15 > 0:36:17So the coin toss is about to happen.

0:36:17 > 0:36:20I've got a minute to try and find Bea and find John and find my seat.

0:36:20 > 0:36:23And actually enjoy this thing, it's been a long time coming,

0:36:23 > 0:36:25we are finally here, it's time to enjoy the game.

0:36:25 > 0:36:27I'm going to go and get a hot dog.

0:36:27 > 0:36:30I know those jerseys anywhere. Hello, guys.

0:36:30 > 0:36:33There he is. How are you doing?

0:36:33 > 0:36:36Bottom line is, we need to get in the end zone to win, right?

0:36:36 > 0:36:37Right, yeah. And that's points.

0:36:37 > 0:36:41Right. But to get there, you have to go the ten yards.

0:36:41 > 0:36:43Right now in four down.

0:36:48 > 0:36:53This is it, this is it! This is it. It's the moment. Go, Pack, go!

0:36:53 > 0:36:55Hey! You have got the rhythm. You did the hip-hop hands.

0:36:59 > 0:37:03Yeah! Thank you for the prep. Well done, well done. I'm pleased we rehearsed that.

0:37:05 > 0:37:07..kicking from left to right.

0:37:07 > 0:37:10Great to have you with us on a sun-splashed afternoon in Lambeau Field

0:37:10 > 0:37:12and here's the kick-off.

0:37:12 > 0:37:16Now, you are very particular about when we don't make noise,

0:37:16 > 0:37:19so when am I not allowed to cheer? I'll let you know. OK.

0:37:21 > 0:37:25Starts the tailback. Throws it out right.

0:37:28 > 0:37:34Rogers looking. Throws. Left side, incomplete. Oh! Oh, man.

0:37:34 > 0:37:36He's got Lance in the middle of the end zone, touchdown.

0:37:36 > 0:37:39Oh, that's a good touch.

0:37:39 > 0:37:42That's not us. I know, I know, it's impressive though.

0:37:42 > 0:37:43Yeah. Yeah.

0:37:43 > 0:37:45I think I cheered for the wrong team just then.

0:37:45 > 0:37:48At the moment, the Packers are down,

0:37:48 > 0:37:51they are down by six and there's two full quarters to go.

0:37:51 > 0:37:54Actually, I actually sound like I know what I'm talking about now, don't I?

0:37:54 > 0:37:58So, yeah, the Packers are down by six and John and Bea

0:37:58 > 0:38:01have suddenly gone very quiet.

0:38:01 > 0:38:05Come on. Oh! Am I allowed to make noise now?

0:38:05 > 0:38:07Yes! Yeah, all right.

0:38:07 > 0:38:10Coming across the board. Stafford looking.

0:38:10 > 0:38:13Throws to the middle.

0:38:23 > 0:38:27CHEERING DROWNS OUT SPEECH

0:38:30 > 0:38:35Detroit four yard line. Moves to the left side.

0:38:35 > 0:38:37Touchdown!

0:38:44 > 0:38:48CHEERING DROWNS OUT SPEECH

0:38:56 > 0:38:59Roger shotgun and here is the snap.

0:38:59 > 0:39:01Scans the secondary.

0:39:01 > 0:39:04Throws it over the middle, a leaping grab.

0:39:04 > 0:39:06CHEERING

0:39:13 > 0:39:16That's exactly what they thought would happen.

0:39:19 > 0:39:21So what is the deal now?

0:39:21 > 0:39:25It's going to be a 45-yard field goal, it's doable.

0:39:25 > 0:39:27That's doable? It's doable. It's a long way.

0:39:27 > 0:39:29If they don't get this then it is over.

0:39:32 > 0:39:35Oh, man. Here we go.

0:39:38 > 0:39:41Field goal attempt. Come on, Mason.

0:39:41 > 0:39:43The snap.

0:39:43 > 0:39:45The arm extended. Here it is.

0:39:47 > 0:39:48And no goal.

0:39:50 > 0:39:56And the Lions hang on to win 18-16.

0:40:01 > 0:40:06Oh, man. Those are the breaks, man.

0:40:06 > 0:40:08Whoa. Those are the breaks.

0:40:14 > 0:40:17I'm not going to keep you, I can imagine that you are desperate to get out

0:40:17 > 0:40:19of here, man. Thank you so much for talking me through that...

0:40:19 > 0:40:22I wish we could have got a win for you. So close. I wish we could have.

0:40:22 > 0:40:25One hell of a game. Oh, come here, Bea. Yeah. Oh, what a game.

0:40:25 > 0:40:28If we had won, I would have been crying, but now I'm going...

0:40:28 > 0:40:31Oh, well, it must have been the Lions' turn.

0:40:31 > 0:40:34Well, I'm truly converted after that.

0:40:34 > 0:40:37You've had me on a roller-coaster of emotions today.

0:40:37 > 0:40:38I nearly cried at the end then.

0:40:38 > 0:40:41I'll let you guys shoot off, lovely to see you, Bea.

0:40:41 > 0:40:42Thank you for looking after me.

0:40:54 > 0:40:57I think the strangest thing about leaving now

0:40:57 > 0:41:01is that this small town suddenly feels quite familiar.

0:41:01 > 0:41:06I think the club is as special as it is because it is in this town

0:41:06 > 0:41:08because it is set up in a really unique way

0:41:08 > 0:41:11and because the fans care so much.

0:41:11 > 0:41:13I wouldn't say I came here with my nose in the air,

0:41:13 > 0:41:17but I definitely came here completely confused as to why,

0:41:17 > 0:41:20as to why some people

0:41:20 > 0:41:23don't want to leave a town that is this small.

0:41:23 > 0:41:27I don't think this is something that I would want for myself,

0:41:27 > 0:41:29but I definitely understand it

0:41:29 > 0:41:32and I have loved every minute of being here.

0:42:04 > 0:42:05The international community has accused us

0:42:05 > 0:42:07of violating human rights.

0:42:07 > 0:42:10In a world ruled by hate and fear...

0:42:10 > 0:42:12The time for change...is now!
