:13:58. > :14:14.a very good reason why Rizzle Kicks are doing this tonight, so let's
:14:15. > :14:18.take a look at a film about a remarkable little girl whose life
:14:19. > :14:26.has been transformed. Thanks to your generosity.
:14:27. > :14:39.Good girl. Daisy is amazing. She's sunshine. At four-years-old, this
:14:40. > :14:43.little girl has faced more challenges than most of us would
:14:44. > :14:48.experience in a lifetime. Daisy has Down's syndrome and was born with a
:14:49. > :14:52.hole in her heart. She also has an unstable spine. This means she has
:14:53. > :15:00.to wear a protective collar 24 hours a day. She is vulnerable being
:15:01. > :15:05.knocked over, that could be very serious. She is very fragile. Even
:15:06. > :15:12.with the collar on, we live in terror, really, of what could
:15:13. > :15:16.happen. Added to this, Daisy's speech is limited. Her sister can
:15:17. > :15:21.understand her, but other children find it difficult. With all these
:15:22. > :15:26.problems, ordinary playgroups are out of the question. She desperately
:15:27. > :15:30.wants to interact with everybody, but gets frustrated by the fact that
:15:31. > :15:36.she can't always do it. She can't make herself understood. Thanks to
:15:37. > :15:45.your help, she has somewhere to go where she is understood. Every week,
:15:46. > :15:49.she comes here to Speech Sign and Song. A music group for children
:15:50. > :15:56.with communication difficulties, supported by Children In Need.
:15:57. > :16:02.Hello, Daisy. Good singing! And good signing. It is perfect for Daisy. It
:16:03. > :16:07.is time for listening. A place where she feels safe and can learn at her
:16:08. > :16:11.own pace. It is all very interactive. The children are
:16:12. > :16:13.expected to do lots and they do purely because they think they are
:16:14. > :16:17.there to have fun. They don't realise they are learning. She is
:16:18. > :16:24.more confident. She is more outgoing. She loves it. It is just
:16:25. > :16:28.helped her develop as a child in a way that she needs to to equip her
:16:29. > :16:33.for school. She has changed massively. She's overcome such a lot
:16:34. > :16:40.and she is learning to achieve such a lot against all the odds. Speech
:16:41. > :16:44.Sign and Song has made such a difference to Daisy. With your
:16:45. > :16:54.support, these groups can help many more children like her. We would
:16:55. > :17:02.like to remind you the brilliant thing about BBC Children In Need is
:17:03. > :17:08.every single pound you donate is spent on helping children like
:17:09. > :17:14.Daisy. If you would like to help us, we can help more children. To donate
:17:15. > :17:20.?5, text "DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5. ?5 will go to
:17:21. > :17:29.Children In Need. For full terms and conditions, go to bbc.co.uk/pudsey.
:17:30. > :17:35.Now, a random fact from Fearne. Our next act once performed on The Great
:17:36. > :17:37.Wall of China. There you go! With an incredible five number one albums,
:17:38. > :18:02.here is Keane! # And I can see the pain in your
:18:03. > :18:33.eyes # That I'm trying to make a move
:18:34. > :18:58.just to stay in the game # I try to stay awake
:18:59. > :19:04.and remember my name # That I'm trying to make a move

:21:35. > :21:38.that is Barry Manilow! CROWD: Barry Manilow! That is all
:21:39. > :21:42.still to come. The party continues with a young man who simply oozes
:21:43. > :21:48.talent, a British singer-songwriter who went from composing songs at 13,
:21:49. > :21:54.to having a number one hit album by the time he was only 22. Please,
:21:55. > :22:19.give it up for Tom Odell toed. -- Tom Odell.
:22:20. > :25:37.I'd like to invite a very special friend of mine, ladies and

:26:19. > :27:04.is wash your clothes # And I can tell by the way
:27:05. > :27:42.you walk that walk # And I can hear by the way
:27:43. > :27:46.you talk that talk # And I can know
:27:47. > :27:52.by the way you treat your girl # That I could give you all
:27:53. > :27:57.the loving in the whole wide world # All I want you to do

:29:21. > :30:03.Scherzinger. Let's hear it for Tom Odell and
:30:04. > :30:13.Nicole Scherzinger! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
:30:14. > :30:17.That was incredible! When you are organising a big charity rock
:30:18. > :30:21.concert, you need to book some big acts. What would you do first? If
:30:22. > :30:25.you are Gary Barlow, you rope in one of your mates and if one of your
:30:26. > :30:32.mates happens to be Robbie Williams, all the better! Seriously, how would
:30:33. > :30:35.you say no to Captain Barlow? Guy Chambers is on piano. Please big it

:43:50. > :43:57.Will I Love You? On tomorrow's appeal show which starts on BBC One
:43:58. > :44:05.at 7.30pm. Can you get me in? It is unlikely. Mr Gary Barlow has
:44:06. > :44:10.arranged tonight, which is no mean feat. What he didn't realise, until
:44:11. > :44:14.recently, is just how urgently your donations are needed. However, that
:44:15. > :44:21.all changed two weeks' ago when he went to visit a children's hospice

:45:06. > :45:10.come here and know that he is going to be safe and well looked after and
:45:11. > :45:13.they care for him just as much as we do. What we would do without them, I
:45:14. > :45:18.don't know. As you can see, he is a bit of a charmer, especially with
:45:19. > :45:33.blond ladies. Is that right? Oh yes. Great. He says, "I'm Gary Barlow!"
:45:34. > :45:37.No! You are Charlie. He was nine weeks old when he discovered he had
:45:38. > :45:41.no immune system. They said he would live six to 12 months. He had to

:08:42. > :08:45.are all here for a purpose, to raise money for Children In Need across

:10:37. > :10:41.decisions so they feel they have got control. Which part of his body is
:10:42. > :10:45.he going to move? His head. It is more treatment, really. It is a
:10:46. > :10:49.therapy. It gives them a chance to express themselves. We think it is a
:10:50. > :10:53.fantastic resource. While Ajwad waits for his new kidney, projects

:26:48. > :26:51.been? Amazing. How did you get Barry Manilow involved tonight? I mean,
:26:52. > :26:55.listen, he's been a pleasure. The great thing about this concert is

:27:16. > :27:24.legendary artist. This young lady's not been on stage for over 25 years.
:27:25. > :27:28.It is part of one of pop history's biggest bands ever. I can't believe
:27:29. > :27:37.that I'm going to perform tonight with one of ABBA. You hear that?

:32:20. > :32:42.I'm so glad to be here tonight. Thank you, Gary. Thank you,
:32:43. > :32:53.everyone. OK, ladies and gentlemen, it gives
:32:54. > :32:59.me great pleasure to introduce on stage right now The Godfather of
:33:00. > :33:04.BBC's Children In Need, please welcome Sir Terry Wogan.
:33:05. > :33:33.Ladies and gentlemen, friends of Pudsey, thank you, thank you for
:33:34. > :33:44.your wonderful support this evening, for Children In Need. I must thank
:33:45. > :33:50.the artists. It's been absolutely spectacular show. It's been
:33:51. > :33:56.wonderful. Thank you to everyone who has donated, or who is about to.
:33:57. > :34:01.Your support will help change the lives of many of Britain's
:34:02. > :34:11.disadvantaged and sick children, so thank you for that. In the film we
:34:12. > :34:15.are about to show you, you will meet a remarkable family who have been
:34:16. > :34:21.brave enough to tell us about a terrible time in their lives. Funded
:34:22. > :34:28.by your money, they have managed to carry on. This is the book that
:34:29. > :34:36.Molly wrote when she was poorly. It is called The Adventures of Ella
:34:37. > :34:41.Rose. She dedicated it to me. Molly was beautiful. She was a wonderful,
:34:42. > :34:47.wonderful little girl. With Molly, it was all about books. She loved
:34:48. > :34:51.reading and writing. So she encouraged Isabella by reading to
:34:52. > :34:56.her and that was their biggest thing, the connection that they had.
:34:57. > :35:00.She would say to me, "In the morning, if you wake up early,
:35:01. > :35:05.instead of going into mummy and daddy's room, wake me up and I will
:35:06. > :35:13.read you some stories." She read me loads and loads of books. Thousands
:35:14. > :35:18.and thousands. In March 2010, Molly was diagnosed
:35:19. > :35:25.with a brain tumour. It was inoperable and incurable. The
:35:26. > :35:31.hardest thing is knowing that every day is just so precious. We could
:35:32. > :35:39.have lost her in a day, or two years. We didn't know. Just six
:35:40. > :35:51.months after her diagnosis, Molly died. She was eight years old. In
:35:52. > :35:56.their darkest hour, Molly's family were looked after by Haven House, a
:35:57. > :36:01.children's hospice supported by Children In Need. As well as caring
:36:02. > :36:05.for children with life-limiting illnesses, the hospice offers a
:36:06. > :36:09.place for families in the days after their child has passed away. Molly
:36:10. > :36:13.was laid to rest in the bereavement suite and her family were able to
:36:14. > :36:20.stay with her for as long as they needed. Even now, when I think about
:36:21. > :36:28.that week, it's the most invaluable time we could have had, just to be
:36:29. > :36:36.with her and say goodbye to her. I remember going up to Haven House and
:36:37. > :36:41.then mummy and daddy told me that Molly had died. And after, I thought
:36:42. > :36:45.wow, she's going to wake up in a minute. But then mummy and daddy
:36:46. > :36:52.said she is not going to wake up. It is a very, very special place. It
:36:53. > :36:57.helped Isabella for definite. With all the pictures, when I look at
:36:58. > :37:03.them, it gives me loads of memories. She was a lovely sister. Yeah. I
:37:04. > :37:08.have got very close to everyone at Haven House. They know my new little
:37:09. > :37:14.boy, Toby. They are part of our family. They always will be. That is
:37:15. > :37:17.why my mum takes me to the local library. Children In Need supports
:37:18. > :37:26.15 hospices, but would like to support more. Please, help us to do
:37:27. > :37:30.that. That is the difference your donations can make. There are many
:37:31. > :37:35.more families who are in similar situations and need your help. To
:37:36. > :37:40.give ?5, text "DONATE" to 70705. Text messages will cost ?5 plus your
:37:41. > :37:44.standard network charge and ?5 will go towards Children In Need. For
:37:45. > :37:51.full terms and conditions, or to give any amount online, visit

:37:57. > :38:11.this year's stand-out hits, please welcome Passenger.
