:00:00. > :00:00.This programme contains scenes of repetitive flashing images (e.g.

:00:07. > :00:27.Strobe lighting). How are you doing? I am Shane

:00:28. > :00:33.Richie, here to guide you through the best bits of Children In Need

:00:34. > :00:37.2013. We have Ellie Goulding, Gary Barlow, Doctor Who, the cast of

:00:38. > :00:42.EastEnders, Strictly Come Dancing and apparently a boy band called one

:00:53. > :01:05.I need another presenting partner in crime. We are going to have a ball.

:01:06. > :01:12.It is sausage time! Makes me Wanna. That was just the tip of the

:01:13. > :01:16.iceberg. It is around one of Battle of the Boyne balance. -- Battle of

:01:17. > :01:36.the boy bands. All right, I will get out of the

:01:37. > :01:39.pub... Last night, we had an amazing response, thank you to each and

:01:40. > :01:44.every one of you who gave money. It is still not too late to do it, this

:01:45. > :01:59.is how. To give ?10 to Children In Need:

:02:00. > :02:09.It is time for our first best bit. Two very special ice dance icons

:02:10. > :02:13.graced the Strictly ballroom for Pudsey. Step forward, Jayne Torvill

:02:14. > :02:23.and Christopher Dean. For one night only, it is Toril against -- it is

:02:24. > :02:31.to -- it is Jayne Torvill against Christopher Dean. You are going to

:02:32. > :02:35.love this. From the Strictly ballroom, this is the Strictly Come

:02:36. > :02:38.Dancing Children In Need special. Please welcome your hosts, Sir Bruce

:02:39. > :03:01.Forsyth. And Tess Daly. Listen to that. Good evening, ladies

:03:02. > :03:11.and gentlemen, children, it is nice to see you come to see you... Nice!

:03:12. > :03:16.And nice to see you, Brucie. We have an audience full of children. From

:03:17. > :03:21.about three years old, all the way up to 85. I am in my second

:03:22. > :03:25.childhood! And what a performance we have. For one night only, we have

:03:26. > :03:33.Olympic royalty on the ballroom floor, ice dance legends Jayne

:03:34. > :03:37.Torvill and Christopher Dean. They hit the dance floor in the name of

:03:38. > :03:41.charity. As well as putting their reputations on the line, they will

:03:42. > :03:46.also be facing our judges. By the way, we have only three judges this

:03:47. > :03:51.evening because we only wanted positive comments. So we have locked

:03:52. > :04:00.negative Craig in his dressing room. CHEERING

:04:01. > :04:03.Please welcome Jayne Torvill and her partner, James Jordan, and

:04:04. > :04:12.Christopher Dean, and his partner Aliona Vilani.

:04:13. > :04:27.APPLAUSE CHEERING

:04:28. > :04:35.What a night. Welcome, Jayne and Christopher. Is it daunting? Very

:04:36. > :04:41.daunting, this is not as slippy as it should be. Please welcome, Jayne

:04:42. > :04:44.Torvill with her partner, James Jordan, and Christopher Dean, with

:04:45. > :08:11.his partner, Aliona Vilani. CHEERING

:08:12. > :08:17.APPLAUSE Wasn't that marvellous? A standing

:08:18. > :08:22.ovation. I bet you have never had that before! What a reception.

:08:23. > :08:28.Whilst you get your breath back, here is what our judges thought. You

:08:29. > :08:39.were nice nice but you are good onward! -- you were nice nice but

:08:40. > :08:44.you are good onward. The 84 Olympics, you got all of those

:08:45. > :08:48.perfect scores, I jumped up, hit the mantelpiece and fractured my thumb,

:08:49. > :08:55.that is how exciting it was. Perfect scores at the Olympics, you get

:08:56. > :09:01.perfect scores tonight. This is going to be a bit difficult. You

:09:02. > :09:10.both definitely melted the ice tonight. Jayne, I thought you were a

:09:11. > :09:14.nice girl! I have kind of changed my opinion. You were so naughty and so

:09:15. > :09:31.Ben D. Christopher, -- and so you had the style of Fred Astaire.

:09:32. > :09:34.Darcey... I can't believe you on this dance floor, we are so

:09:35. > :09:39.fortunate to have such professionals. I just enjoyed your

:09:40. > :09:43.strength and conviction. I just love that attack that you give it and it

:09:44. > :09:48.is beautiful to watch. Christopher, you did not fade once. If there was

:09:49. > :09:53.one tiny mistake, I didn't care one bit because you followed it through

:09:54. > :10:00.like a true professional. Very hard to choose between new two. -- you

:10:01. > :10:05.two. Thank you very much to Jayne and

:10:06. > :10:14.Christopher, if you would like to take your place by the coveted

:10:15. > :10:18.Pudsey Trophy. Jayne and Christopher want you to help them raise as much

:10:19. > :10:25.money as possible for Children In Need, every penny is spent on

:10:26. > :10:29.projects here in the UK. Now it is time to see who is going to take

:10:30. > :10:39.home the Strictly Children In Need Trophy. It is time for the judges to

:10:40. > :10:45.choose their champion. Ladies first, Darcey, who is your winner? My

:10:46. > :10:56.Children In Need champions are... Chris and Aliona. Congratulations.

:10:57. > :11:07.Bruno, who is your Children In Need champion? My Children In Need

:11:08. > :11:13.champions are Jayne and James. That leaves you with one each, it is neck

:11:14. > :11:19.and neck. Len, as head judge, you have the deciding vote. Who do you

:11:20. > :11:23.think should be crowned the winner? It is extremely difficult, picking

:11:24. > :11:28.the first among equals. If I was to watch it again I am sure my decision

:11:29. > :11:30.could be opposite. But my champions are Jayne and James.

:11:31. > :11:54.CHEERING Huge congratulations. How happy are

:11:55. > :11:59.you? I am really thrilled but I want to share it with Chris. Did you

:12:00. > :12:08.think you would ever compete against each other? It doesn't feel like we

:12:09. > :12:15.did, but I guess we did. I will have it for six months, he can have it

:12:16. > :12:18.for six months. Did you have fun? We had an immense time and the winners

:12:19. > :12:27.have to be Children In Need tonight. Absolutely. Congratulations. You are

:12:28. > :12:37.the Children In Need dancing champions of 2013.

:12:38. > :12:46.Coming up on Children In Need, the best bits. JLS, the cost of Matilda,

:12:47. > :12:52.Doctor Who and one direction. -- the cast of Matilda. Albert Square

:12:53. > :13:01.hosted a knees up with a difference. Please don't judge me on this. It is

:13:02. > :13:07.for charity. Where is everyone? I think there is a party going on and

:13:08. > :13:09.we have not been invited. Who needs them? Let's get our own party

:13:10. > :13:21.started, shall we? # Like the legend of the Phoenix

:13:22. > :13:31.# Our ends with beginnings # What keeps the planet spinning

:13:32. > :13:41.# The force from the beginning # We've come too far

:13:42. > :13:52.# To give up who we are # Let's make a vow and look up to

:13:53. > :17:53.the stars CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

:17:54. > :17:56.Night we had an incredible party for Children in Need, but raising money

:17:57. > :18:04.for disadvantaged children over the UK is what it is really all about.

:18:05. > :18:09.Especially for this one little boy, Tomasz.

:18:10. > :18:15.Because his needs are so complex, it affects all aspects of his life. At

:18:16. > :18:21.18 months, we knew something was not right. He was crawling. We were

:18:22. > :18:28.worried. In 2005, Tomasz was diagnosed with

:18:29. > :18:33.cerebral palsy and autism. Lots of things he could not do. Hop,

:18:34. > :18:39.jump on two feet. It is something he has to live with and we deal with,

:18:40. > :18:43.but it does get him down sometimes. As he has gotten older, his

:18:44. > :18:49.understanding of his condition is developing. Answering his questions

:18:50. > :18:59.have been difficult at times. The questions are that which any

:19:00. > :19:05.person would ask, really, why me? Tomasz' life changed when a project

:19:06. > :19:09.in Cardiff, funded by Children in Need showed him he could do

:19:10. > :19:14.something he never thought possible. Thanks to your donation, the

:19:15. > :19:17.therapists here can help the children experience the thrill of

:19:18. > :19:23.riding a bike. A lot of parents underestimate the

:19:24. > :19:28.children, but every child can cycle, it is just a matter of finding the

:19:29. > :19:33.right bike. It is a lovely job to have. You can see the children's

:19:34. > :19:38.faces. They are relaxed, happy, from week-to-week they get more

:19:39. > :19:46.confidence. It's exciting. We have been very, very lucky.

:19:47. > :19:51.Peddle Power, has enabled him to join in with other children and have

:19:52. > :19:54.a very fulfilling childhood. Which is great. We've been able to go on

:19:55. > :20:01.holidays with other families and children. It has made it an

:20:02. > :20:05.adventure for Tomasz. Riding a bike is something most

:20:06. > :20:12.children take for granted. But for children like Tomasz, it

:20:13. > :20:16.means so much more. Someone asked him recently, what are

:20:17. > :20:21.you good at? He said it was cycling. For a boy with his needs to say

:20:22. > :20:26.that, it says it all, really. I can go around the world. And even

:20:27. > :20:32.if you have cerebral palsy, you can still do it.

:20:33. > :20:37.Look ahead. Good boy! Brilliant! When he is on the trike, his little

:20:38. > :20:43.face lights up, you know it is fantastic. Life-changing.

:20:44. > :20:53.I am hugely proud of him. Yeah.

:20:54. > :21:01.Well, still to come we have McBusted. And One Direction, but

:21:02. > :21:06.now, let's have a look back at a medley of musical highlights, Ellie

:21:07. > :21:09.Goulding singing How Long Will I Love You and Gary Barlow's

:21:10. > :21:14.Children's Choir, but first up, let's see the band that rocked

:21:15. > :21:25.Albert Square and the studio. It is JLS!

:21:26. > :21:28.# The doctor just finished telling me

:21:29. > :21:34.# There is no time # Losing you could be the end of me

:21:35. > :21:36.# That I should do the things that I wanted to

:21:37. > :21:42.# How could I # Without you, without you

:21:43. > :21:47.# Oh, cos you're the only one I let in

:21:48. > :21:51.# Tell me how to stop this feeling spreading

:21:52. > :21:56.# I'm hoping somehow that you know # Oh, oh-oh

:21:57. > :22:03.# Let's just get back together # We should have never broke up

:22:04. > :22:07.# Their telling me my heart won't beat again

:22:08. > :22:10.# We should should have stayed together, when you left me it

:22:11. > :22:14.stopped # They're telling me my heart won't

:22:15. > :22:19.beat again # It's giving me

:22:20. > :22:25.# Hey, hey, hey # Do you see what I see

:22:26. > :22:30.# Put your hands in the air, baby # It's JLS

:22:31. > :22:34.# Dance whying girl # Dancing dirty over there

:22:35. > :22:39.# Do you see what I see # The way she moves

:22:40. > :22:47.# I just had to stop and stare # Do you see what I see

:22:48. > :22:51.# This is looking so easy cos you're beautiful

:22:52. > :22:58.# You make it hard for me, girl, every time we're on the floor

:22:59. > :23:00.# I want to kiss you cos your body # Tonight it's me

:23:01. > :23:09.# Do you feel what I feel # Do you feel what I feel

:23:10. > :23:13.# This is killing me cos # Do you feel what I feel

:23:14. > :23:20.# Some people are falling in love # Do you feel what I feel

:23:21. > :23:27.# Oh, oh, # OK!

:23:28. > :23:32.# Oh, oh-oh # JLS!

:23:33. > :23:40.# I can't explain # What's gotten into me

:23:41. > :23:44.# My sanity is in the bus unjudged # I let her drive

:23:45. > :23:48.# She is my guide # We're flying reckless tonight

:23:49. > :23:51.# Direct me to the flow # Turn it up some more

:23:52. > :23:57.# I'm getting it on # Direct me to the flow

:23:58. > :24:01.# And turn it up some more # I will get it on, on, on

:24:02. > :24:06.# She makes me want to # Oh, oh, oh,

:24:07. > :24:15.# Makes me want to # Oh, oh, oh-oh

:24:16. > :24:20.# Make these want to # Oh, oh, oh,

:24:21. > :24:26.# London to Jamaica # L A to Africa

:24:27. > :24:31.# She makes me want to # Makes me want to

:24:32. > :24:40.# All around the world # London to Jamaica

:24:41. > :24:44.# Around the world, yeah # L A to Jamaica

:24:45. > :25:03.# All around the world # She makes me want to.

:25:04. > :25:22.MUSIC: How Long Will I Love You.

:25:23. > :25:35.# How long will I love you # As long as stars are above you

:25:36. > :25:47.# And longer if I can # How long will I need you

:25:48. > :25:55.# As long as the sea is here too # Follow their plan

:25:56. > :26:06.# How long will I be with you # As long as the sea is bound too

:26:07. > :26:14.# Wash up on the sand # How long will I want you

:26:15. > :26:22.# As long as you want me to # And longer by far

:26:23. > :26:29.# How long will I hold you # As long as you're father told you

:26:30. > :27:13.# As long as you can # How long will I give to you

:27:14. > :27:19.# As long as I live # However long you say

:27:20. > :28:02.# How long will I love you # As long as stars are above you

:28:03. > :28:16.# And longer if I may How long will I love you

:28:17. > :28:26.APPLAUSE APPLAUSE.

:28:27. > :28:31.So this place in Coventry is one of 15 children's hospices around the UK

:28:32. > :28:35.supported by Children in Need. They care for young children with

:28:36. > :28:41.life-limiting conditions. Good morning everyone! . This is

:28:42. > :28:45.Jamie! Jamie! Well, I like these shoes. I think that my four-year-old

:28:46. > :28:49.would like these. Jamie comes here. She gets to mix

:28:50. > :28:52.with the other children. We know she is in great hands.

:28:53. > :29:04.You can bring her here and not worry about her? Absolutely. It's a

:29:05. > :29:09.special place. This is Alex. His main condition is able palsy. It is

:29:10. > :29:13.nice to come here and note he is going to be safe and well looked

:29:14. > :29:19.after and they care for him as much as we do. What we would do without

:29:20. > :29:30.them, I don't know. He is a bit of a charmer, especially with blonde

:29:31. > :29:37.ladies! Is that right? Great! He says, I'm Gary Barlow! No, you are

:29:38. > :29:41.Charlie! He was nine weeks old when they discovered he had no immune

:29:42. > :29:44.system, they said he would probably live six to 12 months. He had to

:29:45. > :29:49.live in hospital for nearly two years. For having all those years

:29:50. > :29:56.without meeting other children, to come here must be amazing.

:29:57. > :30:03.They are so loving and caring and it gives our family a chance to be a

:30:04. > :30:22.family. We love it. Shall I do some signing? It is an owl. How much does

:30:23. > :30:25.a place like this mean? -- need? The majority is through donations. At

:30:26. > :30:32.the moment it is open four days a week. It is getting less and less.

:30:33. > :30:39.It is diminishing already? The idea of someone like this closing just

:30:40. > :30:43.cannot happen. It can't. I have to be honest, I wasn't looking forward

:30:44. > :30:49.to today that much. It is a hospice. It conjures up these ideas

:30:50. > :30:53.of it being a place with no hope. I have actually experienced the total

:30:54. > :30:58.opposite. I think the children we have met our inspirational. I think

:30:59. > :31:03.the parents are fighters, people who are getting on with life and they

:31:04. > :31:08.genuinely lean on this place. I look at somewhere like this and I am

:31:09. > :31:13.shocked, in a way, to find out how heavily they rely on donations. So

:31:14. > :31:19.it is up to us, up to you out there, to just be as generous as you

:31:20. > :31:28.can. When you CVs faces, it makes it real. But we can help.

:31:29. > :31:43.1624 children from all around the UK are about to perform his song,

:31:44. > :31:49.Singh. They have been rehearsing for weeks, they are all heroes, so

:31:50. > :32:00.please welcome the Children In Need choir.

:32:01. > :32:17.# Some words they can't be spoken only sung.

:32:18. > :32:27.# to hear a thousand voices shouting love.

:32:28. > :32:38.# There's a place, there's a time in this life when you sing what you are

:32:39. > :32:43.feeling. # Find your feet, stand your ground,

:32:44. > :32:51.don't you see right now the world is listening to what we say?

:32:52. > :32:57.# Sing it louder, sing it clearer, knowing everyone will hear you.

:32:58. > :33:03.# Make some noise, find your voice tonight.

:33:04. > :33:08.# Sing it stronger, sing together, make this moment last forever.

:33:09. > :33:20.# Old and young shouting love tonight.

:33:21. > :33:27.# To sing we've had a lifetime to wait (wait, wait, wait).

:33:28. > :33:35.# And see a thousand faces celebrate (together celebrate).

:33:36. > :33:46.# You brought hope, you brought life, conquer fear, no it wasn't

:33:47. > :33:49.always easy. # Stood your ground, kept your

:33:50. > :34:02.faith, don't you see right now the world is listening to what we say?

:34:03. > :34:07.# Sing it louder, sing it clearer, knowing everyone will hear you.

:34:08. > :34:12.# Make some noise, find your voice tonight.

:34:13. > :34:20.# Sing it stronger, sing together, make this moment last forever.

:34:21. > :34:25.# Old and young shouting love tonight.

:34:26. > :34:35.# Some words they can't be spoken only sung.

:34:36. > :35:16.# To hear a thousand voices shouting love and life and hope.

:35:17. > :35:41.# Just sing. # Sing it louder, sing it clearer,

:35:42. > :35:45.knowing everyone will hear you. # Make some noise, find your voice

:35:46. > :35:53.tonight. # Sing it stronger, sing together,

:35:54. > :35:59.make this moment last forever. # Old and young shouting love

:36:00. > :36:10.tonight. # Hear a thousand voices shouting

:36:11. > :36:16.love #. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:36:17. > :36:24.Your money makes all the difference to disadvantaged children all over

:36:25. > :36:42.the UK, so please make a donation. To give ?10 to Children In Need:

:36:43. > :36:51.Next up, Harry Hill, who sets a surreal sight on an iconic 80s pop

:36:52. > :37:26.group, aha. This includes Harry, the Hairy Bikers and a sausage.

:37:27. > :37:36.# We're talking away. # I don't know what I'm to say.

:37:37. > :37:43.# I will say it anyway. # Today is another day to find you.

:37:44. > :37:50.# Shying away. # Are becoming for love, OK?

:37:51. > :37:55.# Take on me. # Take me on.

:37:56. > :38:05.# Are all be gone. # In a day or two. -- I will be

:38:06. > :38:14.gone. # So needless to say.

:38:15. > :38:19.# I'm odds and ends # But that's me stumbling away.

:38:20. > :38:24.# Slowly learning that life is OK. # Say after me.

:38:25. > :38:27.# It's no better to be safe than sorry.

:38:28. > :38:34.# Take on me. # Take me on.

:38:35. > :38:41.# Begun. # In a day or two. -- I will be

:38:42. > :39:31.gone. # The things that you say.

:39:32. > :39:38.# Is its life or just a play? # My worries away.

:39:39. > :39:41.# You are all the things I've got to remember.

:39:42. > :39:47.# You are shying away. # I will be coming for you anyway.

:39:48. > :39:53.# Take on me. # Take me on.

:39:54. > :40:04.# I will be gone. # In a day or two.

:40:05. > :40:11.# Take on me. # Take me on.

:40:12. > :40:42.# I will be gone. # In a day or two.

:40:43. > :40:51.You can always count on Harry Hill for a slice of the surreal. Terrific

:40:52. > :40:55.stuff. How about Babs in the make up room with Peter Andre? If you want

:40:56. > :41:02.to see that was put together, you can go to our website. I wanted to

:41:03. > :41:06.have a hold of the comedy sausage. This is my sausage and you have not

:41:07. > :41:15.done big required BBC handling a large prop training course. It does

:41:16. > :41:17.afford me a certain bottom. Let's meet the hero of the hour, Harry

:41:18. > :41:39.Hill. Tickle, tickle, tickle... What do

:41:40. > :41:49.you think of Terry's sausage? You call that a sausage? Here is a

:41:50. > :41:55.sausage! It is sausage time! Next up, a fantastic treat. This has been

:41:56. > :42:00.a huge success on Broadway and the West End and tonight, you have all

:42:01. > :42:01.got a front row seat. Please welcome the Royal Shakespeare Company's

:42:02. > :42:16.production of Matilda. In this world, there are winners and

:42:17. > :42:21.there are losers. You are small, shrivelled, foul smelling and weak.

:42:22. > :42:26.You are losers, children, and you always will be.

:42:27. > :42:30.# Just because you find that life is not fair.

:42:31. > :42:36.# It doesn't mean that you just have to grin and bear it.

:42:37. > :42:38.# If you always take it on the chin and wear it.

:42:39. > :42:43.# Nothing will change. # Even if you are little, you can do

:42:44. > :42:47.a lot. # You mustn't let a little seem like

:42:48. > :42:57.it. You. # If you let it get on top of you

:42:58. > :43:01.you might as well be saying that it's OK.

:43:02. > :43:05.# And that's not right. # We are Revolting Children in

:43:06. > :43:51.revolting times. # We sing revolting rhymes.

:43:52. > :44:14.# Revolting times! We are revolting! # Reare revolting children.

:44:15. > :44:33.# Living in revolting times. # We sing revofling songs

:44:34. > :44:50.# We sing volting rhymes # We are revolting!

:44:51. > :45:01.# When I grow up, # I will be brave enough to fight

:45:02. > :45:08.the creatures, that you have to fight beneath the bed each night

:45:09. > :45:14.# # Each night to be a grown up.

:45:15. > :45:18.# And when I grow up. # When I grow up.

:45:19. > :45:25.# I will be smart enough to answer all the questions that you need to

:45:26. > :45:31.know the answers to be foreyou're grown up.

:45:32. > :45:38.# And what I grow up. # I will have treats every day.

:45:39. > :45:43.# And I'll play with things that mum pretends, that I must not any way

:45:44. > :45:53.# And when I grow up, # When the sun comes up and I,

:45:54. > :45:56.# Will spend all day lying in the sun,

:45:57. > :46:03.# And I won't burn because I will be grown up

:46:04. > :46:18.# # Sometimes you have to be a little

:46:19. > :46:22.bit naughty! You know the money you give really does change young lives.

:46:23. > :46:27.Here is mir and you to tell you a little bit more.

:46:28. > :46:32.I am honoured to introduce this film. It proves we can help children

:46:33. > :46:38.in many ways. You are meeting Sam, who is brilliant and Ember, who is

:46:39. > :46:43.pretty fabulous too. It has been hard to make friends.

:46:44. > :46:47.I'm a bit nervous about introducing myself to new people.

:46:48. > :46:53.People think because he speaks well, that there is no problem. A lot of

:46:54. > :46:59.people forget that Sam is deaf. I have a condition which means that

:47:00. > :47:04.you start off profoundly deaf, then you regain a little bit of your

:47:05. > :47:10.hearing. It has been hard with triplet's. Sam was less confident.

:47:11. > :47:16.So at parties, Isobel and Edward would go in there. Sam would say he

:47:17. > :47:21.was not going. He used to be on his own. Idris Elbe used to felt like I

:47:22. > :47:26.wanted to help him but I couldn't. Nights were tough. He was scared. He

:47:27. > :47:30.didn't know where we were. I could not hear my parents talking

:47:31. > :47:34.down stairs or the TV on. I could not sleep.

:47:35. > :47:39.Sam's record was 27 times I put him back to bed. It was like that every

:47:40. > :47:42.night. He was exhausted. And certainly when he started school.

:47:43. > :47:47.There would be a yearly report. In that it mentioned he was so tired. I

:47:48. > :47:54.can only imagine how difficult it is for him.

:47:55. > :47:57.Two years ago, Sam met someone very special.

:47:58. > :48:02.Good girl. Sam was so excited about having her.

:48:03. > :48:07.Literally, that first week, I was stunned by the difference. It was

:48:08. > :48:13.just fantastic. Ember is not just Sam's pet but one

:48:14. > :48:20.of 750 highly trained hearing dogs in the UK. Thanks to you, dogs like

:48:21. > :48:25.her can support Sam in their daily lives and alert them to dangers.

:48:26. > :48:31.She does give him that security and safety. He has always been scared of

:48:32. > :48:36.fire. He cannot hear the smoke alarms. If she hears it, she drops

:48:37. > :48:44.the floor and waits for a response. Sam's confidence has improved hugely

:48:45. > :48:48.since having Ember. He is very proud of her. In the past where he has

:48:49. > :48:52.hung back, now he will step forward and say that is my dog, but the

:48:53. > :48:56.biggest difference is the sleep. From the first week Sam slept

:48:57. > :49:01.through. I could not believe having a dog sleeping in your bedroom could

:49:02. > :49:06.make such a difference. She helps him have a happy childhood. That is

:49:07. > :49:11.what every parent wants for their child.

:49:12. > :49:17.It is kind of scary, what life would be like without Ember, without

:49:18. > :49:20.hearing dogs. It changes my life a lot.

:49:21. > :49:26.She does her job really, reallying well. She is 100% a part of the

:49:27. > :49:31.family. She is brilliant! She is my best friend. I know she is always

:49:32. > :49:37.there for me. She is just amazing. Thanks to you, Sam has a new best

:49:38. > :49:41.friend that has made him feel happy and safe. Please help us start for

:49:42. > :49:44.very special partnerships. That is why giving to Children in

:49:45. > :49:52.Need is so important. But still to come, we have

:49:53. > :49:59.Scandinavian pop group, Ulvis, but before that, their first public

:50:00. > :50:08.appearance on British television, it is group, McBusted!

:50:09. > :50:13.# It's all about you. # It's all about you, baby.

:50:19. > :50:30.# Well its all about you baby. # It's all about you.

:50:31. > :50:36.# It's all about you, it's all about... Ladies and gentlemen,

:50:37. > :50:48.Children in Need, please, welcome for the first time ever, McBusted!

:50:49. > :50:51.# One day, # When I came how many at lunch

:50:52. > :50:56.time, # I heard a funny noise.

:50:57. > :51:02.# I went to the backyard # It was one of those funny boys.

:51:03. > :51:07.# There was my neighbour, Peter # He said being in a time machine

:51:08. > :51:10.was one in a film we seen #.

:51:11. > :51:13.# Yeah, yeah, yeah. # He said I've been to the year

:51:14. > :51:19.3,000. # Not much changed,

:51:20. > :51:34.# But they lived under water. # And your great, great, great

:51:35. > :51:46.granddaughter, is pretty fine. # Let's go!

:51:47. > :51:54.# Walking through the terminal, # I saw something beautiful.

:51:55. > :52:00.# You left before the duty call. # Next time, getting on the plane.

:52:01. > :52:07.# That's what I see you again. # I can't get you upgraded.

:52:08. > :52:15.# That uniform you're wearing. # So hot I can't stop staring.

:52:16. > :52:19.# You're putting on an awesome show. # The cabin pressure is rising

:52:20. > :52:24.# # My coke has no icing now.

:52:25. > :52:30.# Air hostess! # I like the way you dress.

:52:31. > :52:34.# I feel much better. # If you will write me a love

:52:35. > :52:38.letter. # But I mess my pants.

:52:39. > :52:44.# Over France. # But I see you soon in the hotel

:52:45. > :52:51.room. # Air hostest!

:52:52. > :52:53.# You're an air hostess, I like the way you dress.

:52:54. > :53:14.# Air hostess! # She restaurant me in the dark.

:53:15. > :53:22.# She left me with a broken heart. # Now I am on my own.

:53:23. > :53:39.# If anybody sees me. # Shine a light on her.

:53:40. > :54:06.# If anybody sees her. # Shine a light on her.

:54:07. > :54:13.# If anybody sees her. Yeah! Number one in 14 countries! 1 million

:57:55. > :58:00.Well, coming up soon, we have the hottest band on the planet, wait for

:58:01. > :58:04.it, get ready to scream... One Direction! OK, that is enough. You

:58:05. > :58:09.thought it was weird there but things got stranger, when Doctor Who

:58:10. > :58:42.transported into Children in Need! Some day, you could walk past a Fez.

:58:43. > :58:50.Never gonna! This is why we called you in.

:58:51. > :58:57.Interesting... The broken flas? No, where it is broken from.

:58:58. > :59:02.Look at the shatter palt earn. The flas on the paintings has been

:59:03. > :59:07.broken from the inside. As you can see the paintings are

:59:08. > :59:17.landscaped. There are no figures of any kind.

:59:18. > :59:22.So? There used to be. Something got out of the paintings.

:59:23. > :59:26.Lots of somethings. Dangerous. The place has been searched. There is

:59:27. > :59:32.nothing here that should not be and nothing has got out.

:59:33. > :59:37.Not now! Doctor doctor, what is it? Not now. I'm busy. Is it to do with

:59:38. > :59:54.the painting? No, this is different. I remember this. Almost... , of

:59:55. > :00:10.course. This is where I come in. Geronimo...

:00:11. > :00:25.Your donations are real lifeline for disadvantaged children across the

:00:26. > :00:28.UK. As a parent, you will do anything to protect your child but

:00:29. > :00:35.sadly there are times when you can't help and you are powerless, and that

:00:36. > :00:39.is unbearable. In this next film, a wonderful family tells us how they

:00:40. > :00:43.coped with a situation that every parent dreads, and how a project

:00:44. > :00:53.funded by your donations helped them in their time of need. 26 of June

:00:54. > :00:59.2007. Darcey is fast asleep. Here she is.

:01:00. > :01:02.I remember being presented with these two babies and thinking, wow.

:01:03. > :01:08.The idea of twins was something special. They are incredibly

:01:09. > :01:11.inseparable. The absolute best of friends. And that is one of the

:01:12. > :01:15.reasons why they found it so difficult when they had to be apart

:01:16. > :01:22.for such long periods of time while Darcey was poorly. In April 2010,

:01:23. > :01:26.four days after this photo was taken, everything changed. Darcey

:01:27. > :01:33.became unwell and was taken to hospital. The doctor sat down and he

:01:34. > :01:38.said, it is either a virus or it is leukaemia. That is when his pager

:01:39. > :01:45.went off. We were left there with that thought. He came back in and he

:01:46. > :01:54.just said, unfortunately... That is the last thing I could hear, that is

:01:55. > :02:00.when our whole world fell apart. Within just 24-hour is, Darcey had

:02:01. > :02:05.started chemotherapy. The medicine made her very tired, she lost the

:02:06. > :02:09.use of her legs. And then she started to lose her hair. I remember

:02:10. > :02:13.a couple of times, having to hoover her bedding and her pillow before

:02:14. > :02:20.she got in it because it was covered in hair. She could be so poorly

:02:21. > :02:24.all-day that I would hardly get two words out of her. And then her

:02:25. > :02:34.brother arrived and he just lifted her completely. Darcey... It

:02:35. > :02:40.completely becomes your life, it takes over everything. You can't go

:02:41. > :02:44.anywhere or do normal things. Darcey couldn't go to the nursery. They

:02:45. > :02:50.couldn't go to soft play any more and that was something they always

:02:51. > :02:52.loved doing. You find yourself at certain times feeling really low and

:02:53. > :02:59.thinking, my daughter has got cancer. It just hits you. Darcey...

:03:00. > :03:11.Yes. Look. Children In Need helped to found the

:03:12. > :03:14.Association for seriously ill children. They help to organise

:03:15. > :03:18.family days out for children going through a tough time. Every family

:03:19. > :03:22.there is kind of going through the same thing. Your daughter has got no

:03:23. > :03:27.hair, nobody will be looking and asking questions because her lots of

:03:28. > :03:35.other families with children in the same circumstance. After a two year

:03:36. > :03:42.but, -- battle, Darcey is now in remission. Thank you. They have a

:03:43. > :03:48.very special bond that a lot of people will never have. They will

:03:49. > :03:58.always have each other. It was said because I couldn't play with her any

:03:59. > :04:04.more. How do you feel now? Happy because we are together again. The

:04:05. > :04:11.way that I hold her or hug her is a little bit tighter, for just that

:04:12. > :04:16.little bit longer and we feel very lucky that we have made it. Tonight

:04:17. > :04:21.there are thousands of children battling serious on this. You can be

:04:22. > :04:27.there to support them and their families every step of the way --

:04:28. > :04:34.battling serious illness. If you haven't donated yet, please text

:04:35. > :04:35.in. I promise you, you can make a difference. To give ?10 to Children

:04:36. > :04:56.In Need: Those were the best bits, and thank

:04:57. > :05:01.you to each and every one of you for making Children In Need the biggest

:05:02. > :05:03.ever. From myself, it Shane Richie, from a very cold Wolford, this is

:05:04. > :05:30.One Direction. # Maybe it's the way she walked

:05:31. > :05:34.straight into my heart and stole it. # Through the doors and past the

:05:35. > :05:41.guards, just like she already own it.

:05:42. > :05:44.# I said, can you give it back to me?

:05:45. > :05:49.# She said, never in your wildest dreams.

:05:50. > :05:55.# And we danced all night to the best song ever.

:05:56. > :05:59.# We knew every line, now I can't remember.

:06:00. > :06:02.# How it goes, but I know that I won't forget her.

:06:03. > :06:06.# Because we danced all night to the best song ever.

:06:07. > :06:15.# I think it went over, oh, oh. # I think it went yet, yeah, yeah.

:06:16. > :06:21.# Said her name was George arose. # And her daddy was a dentist. --

:06:22. > :06:27.Georgia Rose. # Said I had a dirty mouth.

:06:28. > :06:32.# But she kissed me like she meant it.

:06:33. > :06:35.# I said, can I take you home with me?

:06:36. > :06:40.# She said, never in your wildest dreams.

:06:57. > :07:03.# I think it went oh, oh, oh. # I think it went yeah, yeah, yeah.

:07:04. > :07:07.# You know, I know, you know I will remember you.

:07:08. > :07:12.# And I know, you know, I know you will remember me.

:07:13. > :07:15.# You know, I know, you know I will remember you.

:07:16. > :07:23.# I know, you know, I hope you will remember how we danced.

:07:24. > :07:27.# How we danced. # How we danced all night to the

:07:28. > :07:31.best song ever. # We knew every line, now I can't

:07:32. > :07:36.remember. # How it goes, but I know that I

:08:05. > :08:06.# I think it went yeah, yeah, yeah. # Best song ever, it was the best

:08:07. > :08:22.song ever. Thank you.

:08:23. > :08:28.Tonight 's star-studded evening is nearly at an end, so let's see what

:08:29. > :08:34.you have achieved. One last time, let's fire up the totaliser.
