:00:00. > :00:07.Welcome back to Children in Need 2015!

:00:08. > :00:09.Let's get loud and make some noise for your hosts.

:00:10. > :00:28.MUSIC: "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez

:00:29. > :00:31.And, swapping The Saturdays for one Friday night only,

:00:32. > :01:29.That was incredible! Strictly told me never to enter!

:01:30. > :01:37.It is great to be back on Children in Need.

:01:38. > :01:40.Sir Terry, I know you're watching us, so I promise we'll be

:01:41. > :01:49.And we're going to do you proud, Sir Terry.

:01:50. > :01:53.It's been an amazing night so far of fun and fundraising.

:01:54. > :02:01.And we've got all of this still to come.

:02:02. > :02:47.Every year on nights like this we meet some truly remarkable children.

:02:48. > :02:49.But the word "remarkable" doesn't even begin to do justice to the

:02:50. > :02:53.Here's my mate, Reggie Yates, to tell you more.

:02:54. > :02:56.When a child is in pain, everyone who loves them hurts.

:02:57. > :03:00.I want you to meet a truly amazing family.

:03:01. > :03:01.They are so strong, it is unbelievable.

:03:02. > :03:04.And I'm proud to say that your donations have helped them

:03:05. > :03:14.Stop talking - it'll go down quicker.

:03:15. > :03:17.What are you trying to say, Dad - I talk a lot?

:03:18. > :03:21.So do you think you're getting better?

:03:22. > :03:26.You are. You're fab, aren't you?

:03:27. > :03:33.He was seven months actually in the hospital.

:03:34. > :03:35.Maybe two or three weeks on a ventilator

:03:36. > :03:39.That's iron, isn't it? It is.

:03:40. > :03:43.Not knowing which way it's going to go, and then me having to tell

:03:44. > :03:46.his sister that he might be going to play with his nan,

:03:47. > :03:52.On May 17th last year, Daniel was playing

:03:53. > :03:57.on a bouncy castle in the back garden at home.

:03:58. > :04:05.And then when he came in, it was just...

:04:06. > :04:08.A split second and he just collapsed.

:04:09. > :04:17.I was saying, "If you can hear me, squeeze my hand.

:04:18. > :04:22.He just kept squeezing my hand the whole time.

:04:23. > :04:24.That's when we got the ambulance, didn't we?

:04:25. > :04:27.Yes. To the hospital, and it was straight in, and there

:04:28. > :04:45.Doctors battled to save Daniel's life.

:04:46. > :04:49.He'd suffered a brain bleed, with terrible consequences.

:04:50. > :04:53.In the beginning, he was just completely still

:04:54. > :04:56.and he had so many tubes coming off him, you couldn't tell that it was

:04:57. > :04:59.my brother, and I was expecting him to get up and say,

:05:00. > :05:01."Beth, I'm fine! Don't worry about me."

:05:02. > :05:05.But he didn't, he just stayed still and didn't move.

:05:06. > :05:09.We knew he was paralysed, all the way down, all his body.

:05:10. > :05:12.But they couldn't tell us if he could hear hear, he'd have

:05:13. > :05:18.Anything. They couldn't tell us anything.

:05:19. > :05:22.You've got doctors coming up to talk to you and it's just constant and

:05:23. > :05:25.they're firing all these questions, and you're just numb, aren't you?

:05:26. > :05:28.They're feeding you that much information at once,

:05:29. > :05:38.Thankfully, there was someone to help make sense of it all.

:05:39. > :05:40.This is Fiona from the Child Brain Injury Trust,

:05:41. > :05:45.a charity supported by Children in Need.

:05:46. > :05:48.When you go into an acute hospital setting, it is very isolating,

:05:49. > :05:53.Being able to support families from those very early days

:05:54. > :06:01.Fiona, it's like she waved her magic wand and

:06:02. > :06:09.She's on your level, she knows what you're going through.

:06:10. > :06:12.Even if you didn't understand what the doctors were going on about,

:06:13. > :06:18.You know, she answered a lot of Beth's questions

:06:19. > :06:20.in a way that Beth understood. More than I could ever do.

:06:21. > :06:23...and how much harder it must be for Daniel to do

:06:24. > :06:33.Bit by bit, Daniel learned to talk and walk all over again.

:06:34. > :06:37.Then after seven months in hospital, he came home.

:06:38. > :06:42.There's been over a dozen operations, and today,

:06:43. > :06:51.though he still can't swallow or eat like other children.

:06:52. > :06:53.But whenever the family needed a home visit or even

:06:54. > :07:01.She was just the right person there, who knew everything we needed

:07:02. > :07:04.to know. And she just did it.

:07:05. > :07:07.Thank you so much for what you've done for us.

:07:08. > :07:10.Thank you, Daniel. They're beautiful.

:07:11. > :07:14.Fiona was always helping me with my problems.

:07:15. > :07:22.Please help us to help more wonderful families like Daniel's

:07:23. > :07:38.You are a truly fantastic little boy and we think you are brilliant.

:07:39. > :07:48.That's what tonight is all about, showing how your money helps people

:07:49. > :07:51.So, please, if you can, donate tonight.

:07:52. > :07:54.If you haven't already done so, then perhaps now might be the time.

:07:55. > :07:58.You can call 03457 33 22 33 or you can donate online.

:07:59. > :08:03.Every single penny will be spent helping wonderful families

:08:04. > :08:08.And it's never been easier to donate to Children in Need.

:08:09. > :08:13.You can donate on the BBC Children in Need website,

:08:14. > :08:17.using your debit or credit card, or with your PayPal account.

:08:18. > :08:20.Pay in your money at all major banks, building

:08:21. > :08:30.Send a cheque or a postal order to BBC Children in Need.

:08:31. > :08:37.Or telephone to donate or tell us how much you have raised.

:08:38. > :08:43.Standard geographic charges from landlines and mobiles will apply.

:08:44. > :08:55.Every single penny you donate will help to make a big, big difference.

:08:56. > :08:59.Do you think that applause was for us? It is not for us!

:09:00. > :09:03.And news that our next act is performing has very

:09:04. > :09:13.There is a woman here who is so excited. She has not stopped!

:09:14. > :09:16.But that's what you get, Grimmy, for having one of the world's biggest

:09:17. > :09:30.Singing Same Old Love, please go crazy for Selena Gomez.

:09:31. > :10:39.# So don't you try and change your mind

:10:40. > :13:07.Now, earlier this evening, we saw the cast members of

:13:08. > :13:11.Call The Midwife swap hot towels for tutus and take a turn

:13:12. > :13:28.But it's back to more familiar territory for the Midwife cast now,

:13:29. > :13:30.Here's an exclusive preview of this year's Call The Midwife

:13:31. > :13:45.And so the Bishop said that BBC television want to film a carol

:13:46. > :13:54.service in an ordinary London church and broadcast on Christmas Day. How

:13:55. > :13:58.nice. I think it would be more than nice, it would be wonderful for the

:13:59. > :14:04.whole of the parish. Our parish? I should have made that clear. I think

:14:05. > :14:11.it sounds tremendous. The children will enjoy it. But filming in a

:14:12. > :14:17.church? My sentiments exactly. Is nothing sacred? To my mind,

:14:18. > :14:21.Christmas is the most sacred festival of all. Sharing a religious

:14:22. > :14:28.service with millions is a really good way to remind them of that. Not

:14:29. > :14:32.to mention frightfully glamorous! I rest my case! People have forgotten

:14:33. > :14:37.what it is about. Mrs Turner has agreed to take the children's choir,

:14:38. > :14:46.and I was thinking we could create a crib scene and place a real newborn

:14:47. > :14:55.baby in the manger. One of hours? Yes. I was rather hoping to see Ms

:14:56. > :15:01.Gilbert, the producer of the TB broadcast is coming to inspect the

:15:02. > :15:28.church... Tomorrow is a very busy day. Miss Gilbert will be occupied.

:15:29. > :15:39.of ornamental plaster work. It always photographed so well. Wonders

:15:40. > :15:46.with the elbow grease. Our cleaning lady is called Mrs Willens. Whatever

:15:47. > :15:50.she is called, you have to add to artistic presentation. The

:15:51. > :16:01.children's pageant is completely essential. Do you mean the nativity

:16:02. > :16:07.play, -- nativity play? The nativity scene. I know how children add to

:16:08. > :16:14.the sparkle. And they must thing. I have that in hand. And they must be

:16:15. > :16:19.in costume. Mrs Turner has that in hand as well. The aesthetic is

:16:20. > :16:26.vital. We cannot have anybody looking poor.

:16:27. > :16:45.Lots of fun we will see. Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas! It is worthy of

:16:46. > :16:55.the poet Laureate. Come on, you stragglers! You are married to the

:16:56. > :17:05.Lady in the sewing shop? He is a cousin of mine. Well caught!

:17:06. > :17:23.That wouldn't have happened if Sir Terry was here.

:17:24. > :17:25.Now it's over to John Craven and his Countryfile team.

:17:26. > :17:27.They've been set their toughest nature assignment yet,

:17:28. > :17:38.to try and locate that rarest of bears, the lesser spotted Pudsey.

:17:39. > :17:45.This year, Countryfile viewers have been raising money for Children in

:17:46. > :17:47.Need well taking in the great British countryside. Sponsored

:17:48. > :17:53.country far rambles have been taking place up and down the country. Our

:17:54. > :17:57.view is got behind their lenses to capture the colour of the

:17:58. > :18:01.countryside for our annual photographic competition. Only the

:18:02. > :18:08.best 12 were selected for the Countryfile 2016 calendar. Last year

:18:09. > :18:12.they're sold 350,000 copies. It supports the work of Children in

:18:13. > :18:19.Need across the UK. This year we are hoping it can raise even more. How

:18:20. > :18:23.are you doing? The winning photo really inspired me. It took a lot of

:18:24. > :18:28.time and effort to get it. I thought I would have a go myself. I have

:18:29. > :18:33.been told there is a rare bear around the countryside. I have been

:18:34. > :18:42.waiting all day to try to capture it on camera. Oh, no! Too late.

:18:43. > :18:55.Let's find out how much Countryfile have raised.

:18:56. > :19:02.Thank you so much, John, Ellie and all of you at home who bought

:19:03. > :19:20.Now, Grimmy, what would you think if I said Kinky Boots to you?

:19:21. > :19:28.I would think of the picture I sent to you on Snapchat.

:19:29. > :19:40.Performing Everybody Say Yeah, please give it up for the West End

:19:41. > :19:43.Well, Boss, is this what you had in mind?

:19:44. > :19:47.# You can throw out the old way cos it's been done

:19:48. > :19:53.# Witness the future of Price and Son

:19:54. > :20:01.# A life of broken heels got you down?

:20:02. > :20:06.# Get up Get it on and

:20:07. > :20:13.# Get in step with the kinky revolution

:20:14. > :20:20.# Say yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah

:20:21. > :20:26.# Say yeah Say yeah

:20:27. > :20:48.# Can you picture this glamorous fashion exhibition

:20:49. > :20:51.# I see flashbulb lights and fashion heights

:20:52. > :21:39.Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome our niche market!

:21:40. > :23:56.A belting performance from the cast of Kinky Boots.

:23:57. > :24:00.And don't forget they've donated their time tonight in the hope that

:24:01. > :24:04.you'll donate your money to help children right here in the UK.

:24:05. > :24:06.Year after year, so many great performers support

:24:07. > :24:08.And last night, this brilliant tradition continued

:24:09. > :24:12.as BBC One saw a whole host of stars join Sir Tom and Rob Brydon

:24:13. > :24:16.In case you missed it, here's a taste of One Big Night

:24:17. > :24:33.# Baby, baby, everything is all right, uptight.

:24:34. > :24:37.# I just want your extra time and your...

:24:38. > :24:40.# Come along, little children, come along.

:24:41. > :25:03.What a wonderful night of entertainment!

:25:04. > :25:15.Shall we find out how much One Big Night for Children in Need raised?

:25:16. > :25:17.And a huge thank you to Sir Tom Jones,

:25:18. > :25:23.Rob Brydon and all the performers, who kindly gave their time.

:25:24. > :25:27.Next we'd like to show you a very powerful film that shows how

:25:28. > :25:30.Children in Need can be there for families when their everyday lives

:25:31. > :25:37.One day everything is normal and the next, well, everything changes.

:25:38. > :25:40.Here's someone I know well, Marvin Humes, to tell you more.

:25:41. > :25:42.Anyone who's lost someone special knows how much it can hurt.

:25:43. > :25:47.Grief is tough but for children it can hit especially hard.

:25:48. > :25:50.This is a film about a young boy who's had to deal

:25:51. > :25:55.His name is Jeevan and we'd like to thank him

:25:56. > :26:05.Oh, that's a nice picture of you and Dad.

:26:06. > :26:27.He is a very sweet boy, just like his dad.

:26:28. > :26:30.It was my dad's birthday on that day.

:26:31. > :26:33.We were planning on going to get him some nice shoes.

:26:34. > :26:36.Jeevan's dad got up, a very early riser.

:26:37. > :26:39.He took his boys downstairs, gave them their breakfast.

:26:40. > :26:46.He went into the bathroom, that's when Jeevan's mum heard quite

:26:47. > :27:08.She jumped out of bed and went into the bathroom.

:27:09. > :27:12.Mum went with him to the hospital and I went to my next door

:27:13. > :27:16.neighbours and they looked after me and my brother for the whole day.

:27:17. > :27:20.When I got back to my house there were loads of family

:27:21. > :27:28.members in the house and I went into my room and just stayed in my room.

:27:29. > :27:31.My dad was the best dad in the world.

:27:32. > :27:40.At the funeral service Jeevan bravely paid tribute to his father.

:27:41. > :27:42.You will always stay in mine, Jay's and Mum's hearts.

:27:43. > :27:47.But in the weeks that followed his family became increasingly

:27:48. > :27:53.I used to get angry with everyone in the house.

:27:54. > :27:57.I used to stay up really late and not go to sleep.

:27:58. > :28:03.He wouldn't eat properly and it got to the point

:28:04. > :28:12.He would cover his face and he would scratch his own face.

:28:13. > :28:16.We were trying to comfort him but we couldn't help.

:28:17. > :28:18.That's when we made that decision that Jeevan was

:28:19. > :28:27.At Edwards Trust in Birmingham your donations pay for

:28:28. > :28:37.Jeevan has been coming to see her for a year or so now.

:28:38. > :28:45.I think he wanted to make his mum proud and his dad proud.

:28:46. > :28:49.Being the man of the house at a time when he was really quite

:28:50. > :28:55.Holding it all in is not good for a young person.

:28:56. > :28:58.So anything that we can do to help them express their feelings,

:28:59. > :29:07.This is the canvas I made to represent my dad.

:29:08. > :29:12.It reminds me of some of the fun times we had together as a family.

:29:13. > :29:21.Devoted is because he was always there for me.

:29:22. > :29:25.Counselling did change Jeevan's life.

:29:26. > :29:30.It gave him the ability to look forward into his future.

:29:31. > :29:34.I never thought just talking to you would help that much

:29:35. > :29:41.Your donations have helped Jeevan and other like him

:29:42. > :30:08.That is how the money you send affects people.

:30:09. > :30:10.Our love goes to Jeevan and his family.

:30:11. > :30:14.We know they've got a long way to go but it's good to know that projects

:30:15. > :30:17.like Edwards Trust are there to help families when they really need it.

:30:18. > :30:19.A donation of ?20 funds one counselling session

:30:20. > :30:21.You've seen how important that work is.

:30:22. > :30:23.Please pick up the phone tonight and call.

:30:24. > :30:29.The number as always is 03457 33 22 33.

:30:30. > :30:33.Or you can donate online at bbc.co.uk/pudsey.

:30:34. > :30:48.Now, Nick, we all know you like to witter on, don't you?

:30:49. > :30:52.Wait, so what's happening here is Rochelle from The Saturdays is

:30:53. > :30:55.accusing me, Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, of wittering on and on for

:30:56. > :30:58.ages and ages, filling every moment of silence with whichever words just

:30:59. > :31:02.happen to fall into my mind while never letting anyone else get

:31:03. > :31:07.Is that what you're accusing me of, Rochelle from The Saturdays?

:31:08. > :31:15.I've forgotten where I was going now.

:31:16. > :31:21.Well, the stars of Radio 4 comedy like to witter on too.

:31:22. > :31:26.Yes, especially for Children in Need, the cream of British

:31:27. > :31:32.comedy have been given free reign to talk and talk and talk.

:31:33. > :31:35.So, here they are with their very own shaggy-dog joke.

:31:36. > :31:44.So she went to the local dog rescue home.

:31:45. > :31:47."Were you looking for a particular kind of dog?"

:31:48. > :31:53."I would quite like a shaggy dog if you have one."

:31:54. > :31:58."Madam, we have here the shaggiest dog you have ever seen in your

:31:59. > :32:01."I've seen a lot dogs in my time, young man,

:32:02. > :32:04."Just you wait and see, said the man."

:32:05. > :32:10.And he returned with a very, very, very, shaggy dog.

:32:11. > :32:12."Isn't that the shaggiest dog you have ever seen in your life?"

:32:13. > :32:19.And so the woman bought the shaggy dog and brought it

:32:20. > :32:23."Meet our new dog. isn't she the shaggiest dog you have

:32:24. > :32:31.And her family said, she certainly was.

:32:32. > :32:32."We have never seen such a shaggy dog.

:32:33. > :32:36.In fact, she is so shaggy, you should show her to the local MP."

:32:37. > :32:41.So the woman and her family took the train to London.

:32:42. > :32:42.Because their MP was not able to spend

:32:43. > :32:45.as much time in their constituencies as they would have liked to.

:32:46. > :32:48.Though, of course, they were still very committed to

:32:49. > :32:58.Well, I am always utterly delighted to meet any of my constituents who,

:32:59. > :33:01.are the salt of the earth and the decent, hard working people

:33:02. > :33:08.I am a little busy to meet their ordinary decent dogs individually."

:33:09. > :33:11."I really think you want to see this one.

:33:12. > :33:13.Isn't she the shaggiest dog you have ever seen in your life?"

:33:14. > :33:21.In fact, the duty is clear, we need to show her to the Prime Minister."

:33:22. > :33:23.And so off they went to 10 Downing Street.

:33:24. > :33:26.And while the family distracted the police at the door with

:33:27. > :33:28.their regional accents, the woman and the MP went inside

:33:29. > :33:31."I'm sorry to interrupt you, Prime Minister."

:33:32. > :33:33."I should think so too," said the Prime Minister.

:33:34. > :33:35."I'm just about to chair a meeting with

:33:36. > :33:43.Once I have done that, I am was about to boil an egg

:33:44. > :33:47."I'm sure you should but before you do, this woman bought a shaggy dog

:33:48. > :33:52.Isn't she the shaggiest dog you ever saw in your life?"

:33:53. > :33:55.You were quite right to show her to me.

:33:56. > :33:57.The importance of such remarkable shagginess in a

:33:58. > :34:02.In fact, come with me, we must show her to the Queen."

:34:03. > :34:06.So, off they went to Buckingham Palace.

:34:07. > :34:11.Before long, they were standing there in the Throne Room itself,

:34:12. > :34:17."Your Majesty, you know I don't normally like to bother you

:34:18. > :34:19.unless London is on fire, or someone has sunk your battleship.

:34:20. > :34:23.This lady has bought a quite remarkably shaggy dog."

:34:24. > :34:27."Here she is, isn't she the most shaggiest dog you

:34:28. > :34:45.So she showed her the dog and the Queen said...

:34:46. > :34:52.I'd like to take a moment to remind you why we are all here tonight.

:43:40. > :43:43.who got you into this business? You've done something

:43:44. > :43:48.before you worked with us? Is it something anyone

:43:49. > :43:52.has ever heard of? About this button thing,

:43:53. > :44:10.I think I would be... Whatever.

:44:11. > :44:18.Come on. BB-8, you are the super fan

:44:19. > :44:45.we have been looking for. Thanks so much to Warwick

:44:46. > :45:05.and all the Star Wars crew. Earlier tonight we showed you a film

:45:06. > :45:10.about a little girl called Abbie. Here to introduce it is

:45:11. > :45:16.Dame Helen Mirren. Over the years on Children in Need,

:45:17. > :45:19.we have introduced you to many wonderful,

:45:20. > :45:24.inspiring and brave families. They have been through things

:45:25. > :45:27.the rest of us simply can't begin Their grace and dignity

:45:28. > :45:32.in the face of unspeakable pain is Now, we don't show you

:45:33. > :45:39.these films to upset you. We show them because time after

:45:40. > :45:42.time, you continue to help us to This is a very sad film,

:45:43. > :45:53.but a really important one. I'd like you to introduce

:45:54. > :46:01.you to 15-year-old Abbie. When Abbie was just 11, her father,

:46:02. > :46:03.Brian, When you hear news like that...

:46:04. > :46:12.It didn't feel real. It felt very surreal, because you

:46:13. > :46:18.never expect it to happen to you. Brian fought hard

:46:19. > :46:21.against the illness and he was still fighting eight months later,

:46:22. > :46:24.when Abbie was chosen to run We really hoped that Brian would be

:46:25. > :46:32.able to go and see that, but I can remember him

:46:33. > :46:40.saying to me just before, It was a lovely moment

:46:41. > :46:49.and it just made him so happy. It was only a couple of weeks

:46:50. > :46:55.after that that he died, yeah. I think

:46:56. > :46:59.about him pretty much every day. When my dad passed away,

:47:00. > :47:08.me and my mum got a lot closer, She is extremely strong,

:47:09. > :47:17.really brave, inspiring... Me and Abbie just said to each other

:47:18. > :47:25.one day, you know, Just two years after losing her

:47:26. > :47:40.father, unbearably, Abbie's mum When you told me, I felt really

:47:41. > :47:53.numb and I was really scared. I can just remember you not

:47:54. > :47:56.being able to breathe. Yes. And I said, "Abbie,

:47:57. > :47:58.you need to breathe." Yeah. It was just such

:47:59. > :48:09.an awful thing to have to do. I can remember my mum saying that

:48:10. > :48:12.it wasn't curable I felt like all my strength that I

:48:13. > :48:22.put to dealing with my dad and his death, I didn't feel that I

:48:23. > :48:26.was strong enough to have to go When her father was coming to

:48:27. > :48:34.the end of his life, Abbie had bereavement counselling here,

:48:35. > :48:40.at Saint Gemma's Hospice in Leeds. You could make these for Christmas

:48:41. > :48:48.presents... Abbie doesn't like to just sit

:48:49. > :48:51.and talk, so we always do different activities, and so we've done lots

:48:52. > :48:57.of creative things and some sewing and cooking and different things

:48:58. > :49:04.that Abbie enjoys to do. So if I come in

:49:05. > :49:08.and I'm a bit upset and I'm not really into talking, Nick can kind

:49:09. > :49:11.of tell that, and try to help me to talk a bit more and get my feelings

:49:12. > :49:13.out. You can tell when she's been

:49:14. > :49:15.to a session. She'll come back and it's like

:49:16. > :49:19.the weight has been lifted off her Although Abbie has other family,

:49:20. > :49:28.including a brother who lives away now, the future

:49:29. > :49:31.can sometimes seem daunting. I see Nick, and talking to Nick,

:49:32. > :49:38.I kind of get more strength. And I know that

:49:39. > :49:42.when my mum does pass away, Thanks to Children in Need,

:49:43. > :49:50.Nick is there for Abbie Well, her mum has been

:49:51. > :50:00.thinking about that. Before Brian died, we were friends

:50:01. > :50:05.with Steve and Tracey, and Bethany, and when I found out that I was

:50:06. > :50:09.terminally ill, you know, that they were happy to

:50:10. > :50:16.take on Abbie. What we've talked about is that we

:50:17. > :50:18.will do the right thing for Abbie and we will steer her

:50:19. > :50:26.in the way that makes her happy. I'm really grateful that there are

:50:27. > :50:30.people there that can support you in the future.

:50:31. > :50:33.Yes. I suppose if I had anything to say

:50:34. > :50:37.to you, it would be - work hard. And do me proud.

:50:38. > :50:42.Yes. Abbie and her mum, Jo,

:50:43. > :51:13.have been watching We send all our love

:51:14. > :51:17.and support to them both. Now, here to lend

:51:18. > :51:24.their support to Children in Need are Years And Years with

:51:25. > :51:28.their beautiful song, Eyes Shut. And the boys would love you to phone

:51:29. > :51:40.and donate while they're singing. # Nothing's gonna hurt me

:51:41. > :52:23.with my eyes shut # Nothing's gonna hurt me

:52:24. > :53:32.with my eyes shut # Nothing's gonna hurt me

:53:33. > :54:10.with my eyes shut # Nothing's gonna hurt me

:54:11. > :54:30.with my eyes shut Now, Nick,

:54:31. > :55:10.we've got an important job to do. It's our very first Totaliser

:55:11. > :55:16.together! Giant Totaliser-type thing, tell

:55:17. > :55:42.us how much money we've raised! 32 million! That is phenomenal. That

:55:43. > :56:04.is insane. Well done. But please stay with us and please

:56:05. > :56:11.keep those donations coming in. We're running out

:56:12. > :56:14.of ways to say thank you to all Good job EastEnders' Jake Wood's

:56:15. > :56:25.here to help. Once again, the customers and staff

:56:26. > :56:30.at Asda have been raising money for Children in Need. I have decided to

:56:31. > :56:36.come down to one of their stores to see if I can get involved. What can

:56:37. > :56:47.I do to help? You need to look the part. Follow me.

:57:16. > :57:20.Children in Need. You are all heroes!

:59:40. > :59:41.and his dance partner, Janette, are about to face

:00:02. > :00:06.Strictly No Dancing. After 11 weeks, how well do you know each other? If

:00:07. > :00:12.I feel you are as good of the dance floor as you are on, you're going to

:00:13. > :00:17.win this. Film it'll put it together. Who needs this Strictly

:00:48. > :00:59.answer, she will reveal her answers, we will see if they match. Let's

:01:00. > :01:10.begin. Here we go. Peter, what did chinette say is your favourite snack

:01:11. > :01:20.in the training room? A Snickers bar. Eminem with peanuts. I am

:01:21. > :01:33.sticking with that, I like Jeanette. Other chocolate bars available. The

:01:34. > :01:38.answer was... Pistachio nuts! I thought, it will be wrong now!

:01:39. > :01:46.Question number two. I like pistachios as well. Not as much as

:01:47. > :01:58.M! What word would you use to describe Jeanette? Awesome. That is

:01:59. > :02:12.a good word! One word, did you say or some? Patient! She is awesome,

:03:40. > :03:49.one of these on your forehead, and you will have to guess who it is.

:03:55. > :04:04.can. The time is up when I ring this bell. Your time starts now. Go. If

:04:05. > :04:15.you want to put a ring on it... Beyonce. She loved Kermit The Frog.

:04:29. > :04:36.cakes... Every... -- Janette. An Australian singer. Kylie Minogue. We

:05:03. > :05:07.had as much fun as we have, we have had a wonderful night with these

:05:08. > :05:11.wonderful guests. Peter, thank you for being my house band tonight.

:05:12. > :05:13.Everybody, finish your drinks, we have got to go home. At night,

:05:14. > :05:20.everybody! Now,

:05:21. > :05:22.whether you've gone on a ramble, baked a cake or picked up the phone

:05:23. > :05:25.tonight, you are all heroes. Without you it wouldn't be possible

:05:26. > :05:29.for Children And here to tell you

:05:30. > :05:33.a little bit more about some I'm always astounded and humbled

:05:34. > :05:38.by the people we meet Brave families coping with

:05:39. > :05:43.incredibly tough times, and fantastic project workers

:05:44. > :05:48.who just want to help others. In the film you're about to see, we

:05:49. > :05:52.meet a project worker called Andy. He was there to help

:05:53. > :05:55.a family through their darkest days, This is my brother's pyjamas,

:05:56. > :06:07.and someone very clever knitted them Because Tyler had died

:06:08. > :06:12.by this point, In January 2013, Dylan's brother

:06:13. > :06:22.Tyler was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, infantile

:06:23. > :06:29.metachromatic leukodystrophy. Being told that actually

:06:30. > :06:36.he's going to die We were just in total shock,

:06:37. > :06:43.weren't we? Over the following months, Dylan

:06:44. > :06:46.and his parents could only watch He couldn't walk and he was

:06:47. > :06:54.struggling to feed himself. And there came a point where he

:06:55. > :06:58.wasn't able to sit up any more, We needed to spend

:06:59. > :07:05.as much time with him and make his life as happy as possible and make

:07:06. > :07:12.lots of lovely memories together. Hi, Dylan!

:07:13. > :07:14.How are you doing? We're being filmed today, Andy.

:07:15. > :07:20.I know! Andy is a music therapist from

:07:21. > :07:27.a charity called Thomas's Fund. He first visited the house 16 months

:07:28. > :07:35.ago, when Tyler was still alive. He was just such a precious,

:07:36. > :07:40.lovely boy. Every time I come to visit Dylan,

:07:41. > :07:44.Tyler is the reason. So Andy would set up the chimes

:07:45. > :07:56.and Tyler would be lying in my arms, and he moved his arm and

:07:57. > :08:02.it would brush across the chimes. He did, didn't he?

:08:03. > :08:12.He used his hand. Those times I spent with Tyler

:08:13. > :08:20.on my lap, with Andy, Just over a year ago, Tyler finally

:08:21. > :08:32.lost his battle with the disease. The doctor came and shone

:08:33. > :08:39.a light into his eyes and he said, "I'm so sorry, he's not alive any

:08:40. > :08:45.more," and then my dad carried him out of the house, and he got put

:08:46. > :08:56.into this van and was taken away. After Tyler passed away,

:08:57. > :08:59.Andy got in touch and he asked if Dylan would like to have

:09:00. > :09:03.some music sessions with him. When I see Dylan with Andy,

:09:04. > :09:08.I just see happiness. With your donations,

:09:09. > :09:13.we'd like to help more families It's only afterwards that you

:09:14. > :09:22.realise just how important those times were and why something

:09:23. > :09:27.like Thomas's Fund has such an important part to play in the

:09:28. > :09:32.lives of terminally ill children. He is still alive,

:09:33. > :09:42.he's just moved countries. But that's not the case,

:09:43. > :09:48.because he's really gone to heaven. Our thoughts go to Dylan

:09:49. > :10:02.and his family. We know he has a long road ahead

:10:03. > :10:06.of him but, with Andy alongside, we hope it will become

:10:07. > :10:09.a little bit easier. And that's what your money does,

:10:10. > :10:12.it makes life better Just ?40 provides

:10:13. > :10:17.a music-therapy session You can donate ?10 by texting

:10:18. > :10:25.the word DONATE to 70710. Texts will cost ?10 plus your

:10:29. > :10:43.phone to donate, or go online. They've made a mad dash

:10:44. > :10:49.across London to be here tonight. of the award-winning hit Beautiful:

:11:06. > :11:13.are bright on Broadway # On Broadway, they say

:48:56. > :48:57.incredible. And

:48:58. > :49:02.of course, they gave up their time You can donate ?10 by texting

:49:03. > :49:11.the word DONATE to 70710. Texts will cost ?10 plus your

:49:12. > :49:26.standard network message charge. Let's do it for Sir Terry. We know

:49:27. > :49:32.use tuned in and he would love us to donate lots and lots. Yes, we miss

:49:33. > :49:33.you, Terry. Next, one Direction would like to tell you about a

:49:34. > :49:40.special friendship. When things get tough, it's family

:49:41. > :49:43.we turn to, to hold things together. But sometimes,

:49:44. > :49:45.that isn't always enough. Sometimes you need someone new to

:49:46. > :49:48.come in and make a difference. This film is about

:49:49. > :49:50.a lovely little boy called Sam and his best friend, Josie. Meet Josie

:49:51. > :49:53.and the family who have grown to If we didn't have Josie,

:49:54. > :50:02.Sam would probably be moody, grumpy When Sam was four, he was diagnosed

:50:03. > :50:18.with a muscle-wasting disease. I was starting to notice I was

:50:19. > :50:28.falling over a lot more than other people, and not being able to ride

:50:29. > :50:38.a bike or kicking balls. He got to school and he realised

:50:39. > :50:42.that all the other boys and girls He was very angry that he couldn't

:50:43. > :50:50.do the things that I didn't want to go outside

:50:51. > :50:58.or talk to anyone. That's when Josie came into Sam's

:50:59. > :51:16.life. Specially trained for him by

:51:17. > :51:20.Dogs For Good - a charity supported The first weekend home,

:51:21. > :51:26.the door to the kitchen opened Look what I've done with Josie.

:51:27. > :51:33." She'd helped him change. For the first time in two years,

:51:34. > :51:37.she helped him dress himself But Josie didn't just become Sam's

:51:38. > :52:02.muscles, she became his friend. The change in Sam,

:52:03. > :52:06.it was like a weight being lifted We went from being tense

:52:07. > :52:11.and stress all the time to... Josie brought that

:52:12. > :52:19.little boy back again. Sam and Josie. In 2010,

:52:20. > :52:24.Sam and Josie won the prestigious Josie's a hero to us and we know

:52:25. > :52:37.the impact she's actually had. For other people to recognise it,

:52:38. > :52:42.it was really quite humbling. I love Josie. She means

:52:43. > :52:47.the world to me. There are so many children, like

:52:48. > :52:55.Sam, who could use a friend like Josie, but training these puppies

:52:56. > :52:58.and matching them up with the right families take time and patience -

:52:59. > :53:04.so, please, help us to support the incredible work charities like

:53:05. > :53:34.Dogs For Good are doing. Incredible. I met them before and it

:53:35. > :53:39.is so incredible and vital for Sam, an incredible story. Making that

:53:40. > :53:42.relationship does not come easy. Training and matching up the

:53:43. > :53:44.children with dogs is expensive so please help us continuing to support

:53:45. > :53:46.this wonderful work. Texts will cost ?10 plus

:53:47. > :53:50.your standard network message charge and the whole ?10 will go to

:53:51. > :53:53.BBC Children in Need. For full terms and conditions,

:53:54. > :53:57.visit bbc.co.uk/pudsey. And don't forget, you can still

:53:58. > :53:59.phone to donate And it's back to Wembley, where one

:54:00. > :54:06.big knight is hosting, Here's highlights from

:54:07. > :54:11.Sir Tom Jones' and Rob Brydon's It's a big year for both of us,

:54:12. > :54:20.we've had big birthdays, I have to ask,

:54:21. > :54:36.is everything still working? I still have a wee-wee

:54:37. > :54:43.at 6 o'clock in the morning. Not really

:54:44. > :54:50.because I don't get up until 7. Do they still love you

:54:51. > :54:53.like they used to do? Well, that's

:54:54. > :54:58.a question I often ask myself. # Why don't you love me

:54:59. > :55:04.like you used to do? # How come you treat me

:55:05. > :55:07.like a worn out shoe? # My hair's still curly

:55:08. > :55:11.and my eyes are still blue. # So why don't you love me

:55:12. > :55:14.like you used to do? # We had no loving and a hugging and

:55:15. > :55:21.a kissing in a long, long, while. # We don't get nearer, further,

:55:22. > :55:29.closer than a country mile. # Why don't you spark me

:55:30. > :55:32.like you used to do? # Say sweet nothings

:55:33. > :55:36.like you used to coo. # I'm the same old trouble

:55:37. > :55:39.you've always been through. # So why don't you love me

:55:40. > :55:46.like you used to do? # It's not unusual to be loved

:55:47. > :56:04.by anyone. # It's not unusual to

:56:05. > :56:09.have fun with anyone. # But when I see you hanging

:56:10. > :56:14.about with anyone. # It's not

:56:15. > :56:36.unusual to go out at any time. # But when I see you out and about,

:56:37. > :56:41.it's such a crime. # If you should ever wanna

:56:42. > :56:46.be loved by anyone. # It's not unusual,

:56:47. > :56:50.it happens every day. # You'll find it happens all

:56:51. > :56:58.the time. # And a love will never

:56:59. > :57:03.do what you want it to. # Why can't this crazy love be

:57:04. > :57:12.mi-i-i-i-ne #. Now, then,

:57:13. > :57:14.another amazing organisation supported by Children In Need is

:57:15. > :57:19.the Chicken Shed Theatre Company. I'm delighted to say, that

:57:20. > :57:22.a group of their young performers are here tonight, to perform with

:57:23. > :57:26.Tom and the UK's biggest country # Come along little children,

:57:27. > :57:36.come along. # I love my biscuits dipping

:57:37. > :57:57.in gravy. # Save me the half

:57:58. > :58:02.and keep me the gravy. # I love my biscuits dipped

:58:03. > :58:07.in gravy. # Come along, little children,

:58:08. > :58:11.come along. # Now when I die,

:58:12. > :58:28.won't you bury me deep. # Put molasses on my head

:58:29. > :58:33.and my feet. # Why don't we raise

:58:34. > :59:03.a ruckus tonight. # Come on

:59:04. > :59:09.and raise a ruckus tonight #. There's only one way to follow that

:59:10. > :59:25.and that's with another duet, # I'm

:59:26. > :00:40.about to die. So here is what I thought, we could

:00:41. > :01:32.have a story-off, a competition, both tell a story, the audience has

:01:33. > :01:36.to vote on who tells the best one I'm going to hit this button, words

:01:37. > :01:46.are going to flash up on the screen. You hit the button,

:01:47. > :01:49.whatever word comes up, we've got to We have no idea what

:01:50. > :01:54.the word is going to be. I'll take this one, Tom,

:01:55. > :02:11.I've got an excellent one. Mrs Brydon and I are having

:02:12. > :02:17.a new shower fitted in our home. The fella from down the road who's

:02:18. > :02:22.doing the job, Peter Whitley, a lovely man, he's retired now but

:02:23. > :02:27.he was a plumber and an interiors He's coming up this weekend to do it

:02:28. > :02:32.and he's taking out the old shower and he's told us that

:02:33. > :02:36.he's going to be able to keep So that's knocking about ?50

:02:37. > :02:44.off our bill and he's said he'll take away all of the rubbish

:02:45. > :02:47.and dispose of it all himself. So this time next week,

:02:48. > :02:53.we'll have a new shower. Right, I was in Caesar's Palace

:02:54. > :02:59.in Las Vegas. And when I come off stage,

:03:00. > :03:06.I perspire a lot, So I was in the shower this night,

:03:07. > :03:13.right, and, as I'm washing my hair Then I thought, wait a minute,

:03:14. > :03:25.who's this now. So I opened my eyes

:03:26. > :03:29.and the shower head was there And right there was Elvis Presley

:03:30. > :03:38.leaning over the shower door, and he So first of all, if you preferred

:03:39. > :03:51.my rather lovely story about fitting Well, our doorbell

:03:52. > :04:19.at home is a lovely doorbell. Goes through the the house,

:04:20. > :04:23.but the electrical gubbins where you actually press it, they are

:04:24. > :04:29.hanging down, so this weekend - shut up - I'm going to buy some

:04:30. > :04:33.duct tape, do you know what I mean? I'm going to stick

:04:34. > :04:37.the gubbins back up, Well, I was at my house in Bel Air,

:04:38. > :04:46.California. And I was in the kitchen,

:04:47. > :04:49.my cook hadn't shown up, So all

:04:50. > :04:54.of a sudden the doorbell rang and I put the camera on because we've got

:04:55. > :04:58.cameras over the gate, you see. So I looked at the screen

:04:59. > :05:01.and there in the screen was Straight to the vote,

:05:02. > :05:07.straight to the vote. # can learn to be like someone like

:05:08. > :06:41.you! Everyone says I clap weird, what is

:06:42. > :06:45.wrong with it? I will never clap again. Thanks again to Sir Tom

:06:46. > :06:49.Jones, Rob Brydon and everyone at Wembley who gave up their time for

:06:50. > :07:04.Children In Need in the hope that you at home would kindly donate.

:07:05. > :07:07.If you enjoyed that and you think we are the best presenting duo since an
