:03:12. > :03:14.Children in Need And it's up to all of us,

:03:15. > :03:21.as a team, to continue One thing I'll always remember

:03:22. > :04:00.about Sir Terry is that he Because of you, Children in Need

:06:59. > :07:02.amongst you will notice His first wish was to present

:07:03. > :07:10.Children in Need. His second was for me

:07:11. > :07:15.to give him a foot rub. Keep waiting mate.

:07:16. > :07:19.But for my third wish, I'd like an amazing medley

:13:31. > :14:09.Tonight, we are everywhere -

:14:10. > :14:55.And if you want to join the conversation, search

:14:56. > :14:58.This year, schools all across the nation have been

:14:59. > :15:00.joining the Big Spotacular, raising funds for BBC

:15:01. > :15:04.Just like Beacon Rise Primary School in Bristol.

:15:05. > :15:07.# Nothing I can see but you when you dance,

:15:15. > :15:23.And taking part in sponsored spotty challenges.

:15:24. > :15:35.So, if you've been raising money at school and helping to make this

:15:36. > :15:39.year's Children In Need appeal Spotacular...

:15:40. > :15:54.A heartfelt thank you to Danny and Tiki all you

:15:55. > :15:59.Over the years, you have raised a quite phenomenal amount of

:16:00. > :16:08.You're on track to raise at least ?5 million!

:16:09. > :16:16.High fives to all you schoolchildren out there!

:16:17. > :16:20.But it's not just school children who have been pulling out the stops

:16:21. > :20:35.to fundraise - here's what else is going on across the UK

:20:36. > :20:48.It makes me feel good because I know that I am helping somebody else.

:20:49. > :20:53.My whole family comes to my house and we all watch

:20:54. > :20:57.We sit on the sofa and eat popcorn whilst watching it.

:20:58. > :21:08.It's important to remember that wherever you are in the UK,

:21:09. > :21:10.there's a Children in Need project somewhere near you.

:21:11. > :21:18.I didn't know you spoke Welsh!

:21:19. > :21:25.And you at home should be parking your behinds on the sofa,

:21:26. > :21:35.because here's all the great stuff that's still to come.

:21:36. > :21:41.up - EastEnders goes back to the 1980s. There is a festive special

:21:42. > :21:46.from the Time Lord. David Brent is in the studio! And we meet Oscar

:21:47. > :21:52.winner Eddie Redmayne! Can't wait for that EastEnders

:21:53. > :21:54.'80s movie tribute! Just think of the fun

:21:55. > :21:56.you could have with it! Not to mention Ghost Butchers

:21:57. > :22:11.and of course Mad Max Branning. You got so excited,

:22:12. > :22:18.you forgot Pat To The Future. Next, I'd like you to meet a lovely

:22:19. > :22:21.boy called Max. He wants to tell you how your

:22:22. > :22:28.donations have changed his life It's where the face

:22:29. > :22:41.forms differently. The ears don't have

:22:42. > :22:43.ear holes like mine. You're going to be deaf

:22:44. > :22:45.if you have that. Max has no ear canals,

:22:46. > :22:48.so although everything inside works, no sound gets in, so he has very

:22:49. > :22:50.unusual hearing aids. My hearing aids are like special

:22:51. > :22:52.hearing aids I have. He has implants in his head

:22:53. > :22:55.which they attach to. The sound goes into those,

:22:56. > :23:00.vibrates, and then he can hear. With his hearing aids in,

:23:01. > :23:02.Max's hearing is OK. But it's at night when the problems

:23:03. > :23:08.begin. In bed, he has to take the hearing

:23:09. > :23:12.aids out and he can't hear a thing. He would come downstairs,

:23:13. > :23:17.keep coming down, keep calling. It just made me feel

:23:18. > :23:19.terrified at night. It got to the point where

:23:20. > :23:21.he actually did not It's all like silent and it just

:23:22. > :23:28.freaks me out a bit. It was just really, really difficult

:23:29. > :23:31.getting him to sleep. It's just the feeling

:23:32. > :23:34.of being alone. Sometimes the mind

:23:35. > :23:42.plays tricks on you. Chloe is a specially

:23:43. > :23:51.trained hearing dog. Thanks to you, she's just one

:23:52. > :23:57.of many dogs across the UK that support deaf children in their

:23:58. > :24:01.daily lives. She lies right there and I love

:24:02. > :24:09.that just because I can Him knowing that he can be

:24:10. > :24:15.woken by Chloe makes It makes him realise

:24:16. > :24:20.he is not isolated. It's like having the best friend

:24:21. > :24:25.in the world times ten next to you. In the past, Max has had people

:24:26. > :24:32.that have made nasty All of that just chips away,

:24:33. > :24:40.knocks his confidence. Some people treat me differently

:24:41. > :24:44.because of the way I look. Now when they say hello to Chloe,

:24:45. > :24:57.they say hello to me too, and that just makes me

:24:58. > :24:59.feel so happy. I feel like she's

:25:00. > :25:12.part of the family. Max, thank you so much

:25:13. > :25:17.for telling us all about Chloe. You are both wonderful

:25:18. > :25:20.and we are so happy for you. You've been so generous before,

:25:21. > :25:26.and for that we thank you. Tonight, we are asking

:25:27. > :25:32.for your help once more. Tonight, you can help other children

:25:33. > :25:35.like Max by calling 03457 33 22 33. Standard geographic

:25:36. > :25:39.charges will apply. Or if you would prefer,

:25:40. > :25:44.you can donate online I've got twin sisters,

:25:45. > :26:08.both called Greg, and I hold the world record for bad

:26:09. > :26:10.jokes told in one minute? It was just a very clever way

:26:11. > :26:15.of seamlessly linking Because it's time for Rob Brydon,

:26:16. > :26:19.Lee Mack, David Mitchell and some very important guests

:26:20. > :26:22.in our Would I Lie To You Children Good evening and welcome

:26:23. > :26:30.to a very special edition of Would I Lie To You

:26:31. > :26:33.for Children In Need. On Lee Mack's team tonight,

:26:34. > :26:37.ten-year-old unicorn And 11-year-old football

:26:38. > :26:46.mad Jack from Wrexham. And on David Mitchell's team

:26:47. > :26:49.tonight, nine-year-old self-confessed tomboy

:26:50. > :26:51.Zara from Nottingham. And nine-year-old aspiring inventor

:26:52. > :27:02.Adit from Harrow. Ah, now then, there's

:27:03. > :27:12.a box under the desk. Could you first of all read out

:27:13. > :27:16.the card, Kitty, that's in there, and then when you've read it out,

:27:17. > :27:21.place the object on the desk. This is the autograph I got

:27:22. > :27:24.from Lee Mack after I accidentally Now, Lee, maybe you could read

:27:25. > :27:28.to us what it was that It certainly sounds

:27:29. > :27:45.like the sort of joke Very working class

:27:46. > :27:56.and down-to-earth. Could you change that

:27:57. > :27:59.to ASDA or Lidl? Lee Mack was in a Waitrose cafe

:28:00. > :28:02.having a pheasant wrap? I wanted to get his attention,

:28:03. > :28:04.so I walked over. Kitty, why would you want

:28:05. > :28:11.to get his attention? So you walked up to him,

:28:12. > :28:18.and did he seem friendly, Kitty? Yeah.

:28:19. > :28:39.He might have been with, like... And then I was like, "Oh,

:28:40. > :28:54.sorry, sorry, sorry." And then we got someone to come

:28:55. > :28:56.and clear it up. And then I said,

:28:57. > :29:03."Can I get your autograph?" And then when you gave it to me,

:29:04. > :29:06.I was like, OK, wow. They don't care about autographs any

:29:07. > :29:19.more, it's all this, innit? I don't know if he had his phone

:29:20. > :29:29.on him, but a selfie, then. You'd have asked for

:29:30. > :29:32.a selfie on my phone? And then expected me to say,

:29:33. > :29:34."Here, have this?" Why didn't you want

:29:35. > :29:38.to meet her again? Why did you wish

:29:39. > :29:38.you'd never met her? I think it was to do

:29:39. > :29:41.with the scalding pain in my legs. And how do we know that that's

:29:42. > :29:43.a Waitrose napkin? Do you know the difference?

:29:44. > :29:51.No. Because if you do,

:29:52. > :29:53.we're in business. Would you like us to pass

:29:54. > :29:55.you the evidence? "I wish we'd never

:29:56. > :30:03.met," no full stop. So, what do you think

:30:04. > :30:06.then, David's team? I don't think you would

:30:07. > :30:13.write on a napkin. I can play a TV theme

:30:14. > :30:32.tune on the thing Rob I tell you what, this

:30:33. > :30:49.is going to be interesting. Well, I don't know, you're so small,

:30:50. > :30:54.Rob, it's hard to get a perspective. It could be something

:30:55. > :30:59.you find in a Kinder Egg. Well, you tell us,

:31:00. > :31:03.you know what it is, Adit. It's not a trumpet, it's not

:31:04. > :31:08.a trumpet. You say you play the theme tune to a

:31:09. > :31:17.television show? Yeah.

:31:18. > :31:19.Which one, which TV show? That's a good question,

:31:20. > :31:20.which show? OK.

:31:21. > :31:27.Any others? I can't really remember

:31:28. > :31:30.the other ones. You see, now we're in this tricky

:31:31. > :31:36.situation, aren't we, because if we ask him to play it

:31:37. > :31:39.and he's telling the truth, he will deliberately

:31:40. > :31:41.not be able to play it, I think if we just discuss it,

:31:42. > :31:50.and then if it's true, I don't think it's true

:31:51. > :32:03.because he said he knows how to play a theme tune and he said,

:32:04. > :32:06."I can't remember the others." So you're not happy that he's

:32:07. > :32:08.changing the story. Yeah, my wife's got a similar

:32:09. > :32:19.face to that. You think it's true and he's

:32:20. > :32:26.pretending he didn't know what kind of instrument

:32:27. > :32:27.it was? I'm going with Jack

:32:28. > :32:31.and saying it's true. PLAYS THEME TO BLACKADDER

:32:32. > :32:57.APPLAUSE AND CHEERING Wow! That noise signals time is up

:32:58. > :33:29.and it's the end of the show. In real life, lying

:33:30. > :33:39.is a bit like me. Thank you so much to Rob, Lee,

:33:40. > :33:55.and David, as well as Jack, Although, obviously

:33:56. > :34:01.I must stress, honesty That's why I always, 100%, tell

:34:02. > :34:08.the truth. My advice would be don't breathe

:34:09. > :34:27.in for the next five or ten minutes. Here's Gaby Roslin to

:34:28. > :34:31.say a big thank you. Staff and customers here at ASDA

:34:32. > :34:34.have been helping out And the money, of course, goes to

:34:35. > :34:38.the young people here in the UK. And this year, they're continuing

:34:39. > :34:41.their amazing fundraising. Mummy, can she please have this

:34:42. > :34:51.for Children In Need? Good afternoon,

:34:52. > :34:55.ladies and gentlemen. Please buy anything you can

:34:56. > :35:02.for BBC Children In Need. # All the girls on the block

:35:03. > :35:08.knocking at my door... Come on, ladies, please,

:35:09. > :35:10.Children In Need. You just go on to the Children

:35:11. > :35:16.In Need website and there's loads I'm going to pop that there,

:35:17. > :35:20.and hopefully Mummy's got a little bit of spare change

:35:21. > :35:22.for Children In Need. Thank you all so much

:35:23. > :35:26.for your support, and you guys Thank you to the staff and customers

:35:27. > :35:37.of Asda for Doing Their Thing. Let's find out how much those lovely

:35:38. > :35:46.people have raised. Now, Greg, what were

:35:47. > :35:56.you doing in the 1980s? Mainly running around pretending

:35:57. > :35:58.to be Michelangelo. Well, the rest of country

:35:59. > :36:12.was obsessed with these things. Well, while Greg struggles

:36:13. > :36:25.with an old classic, in Walford they're doing

:36:26. > :36:27.a much better job. EastEnders is going back

:36:28. > :36:29.in time to celebrate And it all starts with

:36:30. > :36:48.Albert Square's very own Top Gun. MUSIC: Take My Breath Away by

:36:49. > :37:33.Berlin. # You ain't seen the best of me yet

:37:34. > :37:39.# Give me time, I'll make you forget the rest

:37:40. > :37:45.# I've got more in me # And you can set it free

:37:46. > :37:50.# I can catch the moon in my hand # Don't you know who I am?

:37:51. > :37:56.# Remember my name is # Fame

:37:57. > :38:02.# I'm going to live for ever # I'm going to learn how to fly

:38:03. > :38:09.# I feel it coming together # People will see me and die

:38:10. > :38:15.# I'm going to make it to heaven # Light up the sky like a flame

:38:16. > :38:24.# I'm going to live forever # Baby, remember my name

:38:25. > :38:49.# Remember, remember, remember. # I had the time of my life, and I

:38:50. > :38:50.owe it all to you # I want you more than you'll

:38:51. > :39:13.# Don't be afraid to lose control # You're the one thing I can't get

:39:14. > :39:20.enough of # So I'll tell you something

:39:21. > :39:31.# This could be large # Because I have the time of my life

:39:32. > :39:35.# And I never felt this way before # Yes, I swear it's the truth

:39:36. > :39:51.# And I owe it all to you... Footloose, kick off the Sunday

:39:52. > :41:49.shoes Please, Louise, Jack,

:41:50. > :41:55.get back, come on before we crack # Lose your blues,

:41:56. > :42:26.everybody cut footloose Huge thanks to the cast

:42:27. > :42:31.of EastEnders. Every year, you pull out the stops

:42:32. > :42:33.for Children in Need, Have you managed to

:42:34. > :42:38.finish your cube, Greg? Peeled off all the stickers and now

:42:39. > :42:46.every side is black. Or should that be

:42:47. > :42:49.an interdimensional exclusive? Yes, the Time Lord hasn't been

:42:50. > :42:57.on our screens all year - until now! This is a never-before-seen, well,

:42:58. > :43:45."scene", from the Dr Who Christmas Quiet. Reporter from the daily

:43:46. > :43:56.Chronicle. Why am I telling you the truth? Spooky, isn't it. This is

:43:57. > :44:00.America. Who are you? Special agent Dan dangerous from Scotland Yard.

:44:01. > :44:09.The doctor, for short. They have institutes all over the world but

:44:10. > :44:18.always in capital cities. Yes, they are. New York is not a capital city,

:44:19. > :44:24.is it? I would call security, but they might leave you alive. I do not

:44:25. > :44:34.want any awkward questions about the intruders I was forced to shoot for

:44:35. > :44:39.my own protection. Good plan. Here's another. Tell them you shot us in

:44:40. > :44:47.the back in self defence. We'll be laughing all the way to the slab.

:44:48. > :44:54.Face me now. Maybe not. What is that? Not me. It's like someone

:44:55. > :45:05.knocking on the window. We are on the 100th floor. Oh, my God, he is

:45:28. > :45:49.call a glazier? It's against my personal code to

:45:50. > :45:52.cause lasting harm to anyone. However, light to moderate injury is

:45:53. > :45:58.fine. Well, Christmas really has

:45:59. > :46:04.come early this year! It sure has, Tess -

:46:05. > :46:12.all I need now is a box of chocolate Round up a couple of badges and head

:46:13. > :46:24.out to the trampoline! Well, I don't have any trampoline

:46:25. > :46:27.but I do have some brilliant musical treats coming up for

:46:28. > :46:29.us all later tonight. There's music from Ellie Goulding,

:46:30. > :46:32.Olly Murs and Take That - and also the moves to match

:46:33. > :46:35.in our Strictly Olympians special. Right now, it's time

:46:36. > :46:38.we said another thank you. And to do it for us,

:46:39. > :46:57.here's a cheeky trio. Who have been raising money

:46:58. > :46:59.for BBC Children In Need, which supported projects

:47:00. > :47:01.all around the UK. This year, they've also teamed up

:47:02. > :47:04.with British Gymnastics to launch new campaigns to get

:47:13. > :47:14.Club, we've been jumping for Pudsey. We've been jumping in and out

:47:15. > :47:17.of hoops, jumping ropes. We were so tired but it was worth it

:47:18. > :47:23.because we've raised lots of money. Thanks to everyone

:47:24. > :47:26.who's taking part. And don't forget you can

:47:27. > :47:28.still get your Pudsey ears, wristbands and

:47:29. > :47:32.key rings in store. Later on tonight, we've got a very

:47:33. > :48:07.magical sketch for you, set in the world of

:48:16. > :48:19.I always had you down That is one of the single worst

:48:20. > :48:25.things anyone has ever said to me. But I'll let it slide,

:48:26. > :48:27.because I'm so excited about I'm trying to get

:48:28. > :48:33.through to Pudsey Bear. You'll have to be quick,

:49:08. > :49:11.who they are in the next Next, a film from

:49:12. > :49:14.a very brave family. Here's Nadiya Hussain

:49:15. > :50:21.to tell you more. I don't know how I'd cope if I found

:50:22. > :50:24.myself in the situation this next What I do know is that they are

:50:25. > :50:28.brave and wonderful and that Children in Need was able to help

:50:29. > :50:31.when help was truly needed. Running and playing sport,

:50:32. > :50:36.I love it. I think, as long as I can keep

:50:37. > :50:40.doing that, and the kids, as long as they can see me doing

:50:41. > :50:42.the things I love, Six years ago, Annette

:50:43. > :50:45.was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, it's been a constant

:50:46. > :50:48.presence in her family's life. Your initial urge is to

:50:49. > :50:50.protect the children. There are times when everything

:50:51. > :50:53.is fine and then suddenly I'm diagnosed again with something else

:50:54. > :50:55.and that is scary for them. You struggle to know how you're

:50:56. > :50:58.going to deal with it. Nobody's got the experience really

:50:59. > :51:02.to be able to do that. That was one of the most difficult

:51:03. > :51:04.things. Every time she gets cancer or every

:51:05. > :51:09.time something happens, The sickness in the bathroom,

:51:10. > :51:13.everything, they are aware of what's It hurts me to see them having

:51:14. > :51:18.to deal with this. During these difficult times,

:51:19. > :51:20.Annette and her children The group centres across the UK

:51:21. > :51:24.which supports all sorts of families For Annette, Maggie's was just

:51:25. > :51:27.across the road from where When I was having my last IV

:51:28. > :51:32.chemotherapy, I looked out of the window to see the kids

:51:33. > :51:37.joyously playing at Maggie's. I knew, from that moment on,

:51:38. > :51:47.that they would be OK. That was from one of the kids

:51:48. > :51:50.days we had. Somebody got too

:51:51. > :51:52.enthusiastic with red paint. Thomas and Amelia can

:51:53. > :52:01.go over and just talk They can talk openly

:52:02. > :52:05.about treatment, about hair falling out, about all sorts of things

:52:06. > :52:07.and they just feel that Maggie's is about having a space

:52:08. > :52:14.to talk about feelings but trying to make sure it's not

:52:15. > :52:17.done in a pushy way. Trying to give kids particularly

:52:18. > :52:20.a range of different angles to think about how they might express what's

:52:21. > :52:22.going on for them. It's normal to feel anxious

:52:23. > :52:27.and a bit frightened, but talking about it can

:52:28. > :52:29.make a real difference. I wouldn't really talk to anyone

:52:30. > :52:46.else, I don't think. In July 2015, Annette

:52:47. > :52:50.was told that her cancer had spread and this time,

:52:51. > :52:56.it was incurable. We just sat down on the bed one

:52:57. > :53:03.night and they could tell we were really upset and we just

:53:04. > :53:08.said to them, you know, things have got really bad and it's

:53:09. > :53:12.in Mummy's bones and bone marrow. And we just all had a cry

:53:13. > :53:21.for about an hour and then the first Because of your donations,

:53:22. > :53:26.Maggie's was there to support It just worries me because I don't

:53:27. > :53:35.know what's happening next. When I talk about it,

:53:36. > :53:38.I let out my feelings, The uncertainty for the kids

:53:39. > :53:46.is something that It's not knowing, not knowing how

:53:47. > :53:51.they will be able And I want to spend every moment

:53:52. > :53:57.with them, but I don't know where I'm going to be in six

:53:58. > :54:00.months' time or a year. I just want them to enjoy

:54:01. > :54:03.life and be happy. And, to me, it's a comfort knowing

:54:04. > :54:17.that Maggie's is there for them. Of course, our thoughts

:54:18. > :54:19.are with you all. And of course, Maggie's

:54:20. > :54:27.will be there for you all. One of those sessions

:54:28. > :54:29.with Andrew costs ?30. Without your money -

:54:30. > :54:31.there are no Andrews. I don't know about you but I really

:54:32. > :54:35.think we need more people like him. Or donate online at bbc.co.uk/

:54:36. > :54:47.Pudsey. Now it's time for one of my very

:54:48. > :54:52.favourite parts of Children in Need. And it was one of Sir Terry's

:54:53. > :54:55.favourite parts, too - Tonight, 1,580 children have come

:54:56. > :55:03.together to perform for you. Performing live from nine

:55:04. > :55:05.towns across the country, they're singing the very

:55:06. > :55:07.appropriate Lean On Me. And they have all asked that

:55:08. > :55:09.you please continue # We know that

:55:10. > :55:55.there's always tomorrow # Lean # And I'll be your

:55:56. > :56:01.friend # I'll help you carry on # For it won't be long

:56:02. > :56:05.# Till I'm gonna need # Somebody to lean on # Please

:56:06. > :56:15.swallow your pride # If I have # Please

:56:19. > :56:21.things you need to borrow of your needs # That you won't let

:56:22. > :56:30.show # So just call on me brother I just might have a problem that

:56:31. > :56:34.you'd understand # Lean on me,

:56:35. > :56:41.when you're not strong # And I'll

:56:42. > :56:47.be your friend # Till I'm

:56:48. > :57:03.gonna need # Somebody to lean

:00:17. > :00:27.Unbelievable, that's what it's all about, kids helping other kids,

:00:28. > :00:29.beautiful. And while we are all being grateful,

:00:30. > :00:47.there's someone else who deserves Up and down the country customers

:00:48. > :00:52.and staff at Lloyds banking group have been fundraising for children

:00:53. > :00:57.in need. So today I'm in Watford to say a very special thank you on

:00:58. > :01:00.behalf of Pudsey and those who have contributed are going to get a very

:02:04. > :02:09.total? Over five and a half million pounds! Congratulations to everyone

:02:10. > :02:14.who got stuck in, it's a huge amount. Well done indeed.

:02:15. > :02:17.What would you say if your all-time favourite band suddenly

:02:18. > :02:28.The Vengaboys are currently touring in Budapest.

:02:29. > :02:34.Well, I'm more of a Little Mix kind of girl.

:02:35. > :02:37.And as it turns out, so are the wonderful members

:02:38. > :02:39.of the Children in Need-funded project Haringey Shed.

:02:40. > :02:49.Welcome to Haringey Shed, one of the amazing projects funded

:02:54. > :02:58.They just think it's an ordinary rehearsal,

:02:59. > :03:02.but they're in fact in for a little bit of a Little Mix surprise.

:03:03. > :03:04.Whilst the children are going through their warm-ups,

:06:26. > :06:41.It was the best day I've ever had, ever.

:06:42. > :06:45.APPLAUSE CHEERING

:06:46. > :06:58.Thank you so much to Old Men Grooving, and of course,

:06:59. > :07:07.This is about a gorgeous little boy, presented by the one and only Len

:07:08. > :07:08.Goodman. Children should be able to play,

:07:09. > :07:12.muck about and have fun, be free. For some children, though,

:07:13. > :07:14.that's not possible. Some children don't have a sense

:07:15. > :07:18.of danger so they're not free. Some children need a bit of support

:07:19. > :07:21.so they can have a childhood. And that's where your

:07:22. > :07:26.donations come in. I want to say thank you for all

:07:27. > :07:29.the support you've given If you could call again tonight it

:07:30. > :07:34.would be really, really great. But first, I'd like you to meet

:07:35. > :07:37.a lovely little chap called When we get in the car,

:07:38. > :07:45.he's always intrigued. He doesn't necessarily know

:07:46. > :07:49.where he's going. You can actually see him getting

:07:50. > :07:51.gradually more excited as he's He doesn't use any means

:07:52. > :08:02.of medication apart from his smile He doesn't use any means of

:08:03. > :08:05.communication apart from his smile Just to see a smile,

:08:06. > :08:08.it just means everything. When he was just seven months old,

:08:09. > :08:11.Kristian developed a rare form of epilepsy where

:08:12. > :08:16.seizures are relentless. He was a tiny little

:08:17. > :08:19.baby in our arms having His whole body tensing

:08:20. > :08:27.and shaking uncontrollably. For four years, he didn't have one

:08:28. > :08:31.day break of seizures. With each seizure it's killing brain

:08:32. > :08:42.cells so he's starting to regress. For now, Kristian's seizures

:08:43. > :08:56.are more under control. But he has been left

:08:57. > :09:00.with profound learning difficulties. He's seven but his brain

:09:01. > :09:06.is functioning more You have to be near him at all times

:09:07. > :09:13.because he just doesn't have any real sense of how

:09:14. > :09:19.to behave in a way. He doesn't have a concept of danger,

:09:20. > :09:22.so you've got to keep It consumes your whole

:09:23. > :09:30.life, your whole world. Five years ago, the family were put

:09:31. > :09:33.in touch with Haven House, a children's hospice supported

:09:34. > :09:36.by Children in Need that offers It's given Kristian

:09:37. > :09:46.a special place to play. When you take him there,

:09:47. > :09:49.it's like, he can't get out He's just gone in the blink

:09:50. > :09:57.of an eye and he's He knows everyone and

:09:58. > :10:03.everything in there. Your donations pay for Stacy,

:10:04. > :10:05.a health care support worker. Kristian is just a lovely little

:10:06. > :10:12.boy, so full of life. It's just a pleasure to look

:10:13. > :10:15.after him when he comes here. He will just take your hand and lead

:10:16. > :10:19.you to wherever he wants to go. They've got everything that

:10:20. > :10:24.you could possibly think But the biggest thing,

:10:25. > :10:28.really, is that he can be somewhere He hasn't got somebody behind him

:10:29. > :10:35.saying, "Don't do that. He's got people saying,

:10:36. > :10:38."Here you go. With your support, Children

:10:39. > :10:48.in Need can help more Little Kristian just has the best

:10:49. > :11:05.time at Haven House, doesn't he? Now, one of those sessions costs

:11:06. > :11:13.?20. ?20 to put a smile on his

:11:14. > :11:18.lovely, lovely face. We are going to keep on saying it

:11:19. > :11:21.but that is what We are really grateful for anything

:11:27. > :11:42.of your first ever stint at presenting on Children in Need -

:11:43. > :11:47.how do you think it's gone? I haven't broken anything,

:12:42. > :12:43.What an extraordinary amount of money!

:12:44. > :12:45.That is an amazing total so far - so thank you, everyone.

:12:46. > :12:48.But please stay with us and please keep those donations coming in.

:12:49. > :12:55.Sadly, it's time for the two of us to say goodbye.

:12:56. > :12:57.But stay right where you are, because Ade Adepitan

:12:58. > :13:00.and Graham Norton are coming up with all sorts of treats that

:13:01. > :13:10.Thank you so much, Taz, and loved it, I've had the best time. But I

:13:11. > :13:12.must go. I'm huge Graham Norton fan, I'm going to go home and watch him.

:13:13. > :13:19.-- thank you so much Tess. And, whilst we magically turn

:16:08. > :16:12.have you been doing? We have been doing an obstacle course. Thank you

:16:13. > :16:22.so much. And who do we have here? Harlow Gymnastics Club! What sort of

:16:23. > :16:33.things have you been doing? Jumping, skipping, speed bounces. How many

:16:34. > :16:38.jumps did you do? 9747! And I know that you raised an amazing ?4000 in

:16:39. > :16:46.one week - how many people took part? Just over 700 members of all

:16:47. > :16:51.ages. Thank you. We have had to say a quick word with you, and you

:16:52. > :16:57.recorded a song with Tony Hadley? We did, right here, last week. And it

:16:58. > :17:02.is number 24 on iTunes. Download it, help us get to number one! We will

:17:03. > :17:09.be hearing some more amazing stories from our fundraisers later one. But

:17:10. > :17:38.we must go back to our band, of 11- to 13-year-olds, School Of Rock.

:17:39. > :17:45.I want to raise money for people in need and I kind of want to make

:17:46. > :17:49.Pudsey. Cake sales. Helping other kids that don't really have the

:17:50. > :17:54.opportunities and facilities we have. You feel like Superman since

:17:55. > :18:08.you're saving people all over the world.

:18:09. > :18:26.Graham Norton and Ade Adepitan! Good evening, everybody! Lovely to see

:18:27. > :18:30.you! Would you look at this? Graham Norton and Ade Adepitan presenting

:18:31. > :18:34.Children in Need, together at last! Amazing, I wonder if they can work

:18:35. > :18:38.out who is who? We should have gone with nametags. If you have just

:18:39. > :18:42.tuned in, you are watching Children in Need, not an old episode of The

:18:43. > :18:48.Odd Couple. Well, we are a bit odd,

:18:49. > :18:51.but we're not a couple. The power of Pudsey has

:18:52. > :18:57.brought us together! Yes, and that's a lot

:18:58. > :19:00.of pressure, Graham. Not only have we got to style this

:19:01. > :19:03.out and pretend we're a couple of old pros who know what we're

:19:04. > :19:07.doing, we also have to raise as much money as possible and have some

:19:08. > :19:10.seriously big shoes to fill. So let's do Sir Terry proud and make

:19:11. > :19:19.this a fantastic night. Here's what's coming up

:19:20. > :19:35.in the next hour. Coming Up, Going For Gold, Its Team

:19:36. > :19:41.Gb! David Brent! Oscar Winner Eddie Redmayne! And Craig David sings the

:19:42. > :19:49.official Children in Need single! So, Ade, we don't know each other

:19:50. > :19:53.very well. Do you think we should start off

:19:54. > :19:58.with some basic questions or something?

:19:59. > :20:00.Sounds like a great idea. Great, we know each

:20:01. > :20:08.other much better now. Now, here on Children in Need,

:20:09. > :20:13.we always encourage you to Do Your And every year, The One Show

:20:14. > :20:19.take that to the extreme with their gruelling Rickshaw

:20:20. > :20:23.Challenge. Six young riders set off

:20:24. > :20:26.from Jedburgh in Scotland last Friday, and have been

:20:27. > :20:29.pedalling their way 470 miles down the East Coast of England,

:20:30. > :20:51.raising money and awareness It has been amazing, even as an

:20:52. > :20:59.athlete, like I am, I appreciate what they do. The weather has been

:21:00. > :21:03.an immense challenge. We are delighted to say they are about to

:21:04. > :21:09.cross the finishing line, so we can go to Regent Street and Alex Jones.

:21:10. > :21:16.This is the end, can you believe it, of the sixth ritual challenge. They

:21:17. > :21:19.will be coming under the Christmas lights after the ride of a lifetime.

:21:20. > :21:40.And what a ride it spin. Eight days of early starts. Then the

:21:41. > :21:47.crowds come out, six young men and women, coming-of-age in front of our

:21:48. > :22:02.eyes, giving all they've got. Even though they have less than most of

:22:03. > :22:12.us, they've touched your hearts. And you've responded more generously

:22:13. > :22:19.than ever before. Team Rickshaw has conquered the east coast. Now, it's

:22:20. > :22:23.time for the West End. Yes, they are bringing it home, everybody! This is

:22:24. > :22:26.the moment we've all been waiting for. Team Rickshaw 2016, with Andy

:22:27. > :22:40.in the saddle. Here they come! # I'd bare my soul

:22:41. > :22:47.to a total stranger APPLAUSE

:22:48. > :23:57.CHEERING Come on, come on! Ebony! Wow! We're

:23:58. > :24:06.here! You are here! Give us the total. Apparently, it's going to be

:24:07. > :24:10.predicted behind us. Last night it was at 1.4 million. What are we

:24:11. > :24:13.going to see? What have Britain and the UK donated? Let's have a look.

:24:14. > :24:36.It's 3 million! Thank you, thank you come thank you

:24:37. > :24:43.to everybody who has donated. And I mean, guys, seriously, ?3.5 million!

:24:44. > :24:49.What do you want to say to all of those lovely people who donated?

:24:50. > :24:59.Just look down that lens. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank

:25:00. > :25:03.you! Thank you so much for coming to support us and thank you. You have

:25:04. > :25:13.all been wonderful and made this challenge what it is. Thank you,

:25:14. > :25:24.thank you, Graham and Ade, it's back to you. Thank you to all of you, and

:25:25. > :25:30.all of the one Show team. It was incredible. Absolutely amazing.

:25:31. > :25:35.Tonight, what we are doing could not be more simple. We are here to

:25:36. > :25:40.support children in the UK need help. That's it, nothing complicated

:25:41. > :25:44.about it. Some children need help, and we are all here to give it to

:25:45. > :25:51.them. Here is James McAvoy to tell you more.

:25:52. > :25:55.A family I'll call the Martins to protect their identity.

:25:56. > :25:58.But what I'm about to tell you is true.

:25:59. > :25:59.There's Mum, Dad and five lovely children.

:26:00. > :26:02.Two years ago, one of the children, a little girl, was diagnosed

:26:03. > :26:09.You don't need me to tell you how devastated

:26:10. > :26:15.Their lives were and still are shattered.

:26:16. > :26:17.And then, unbearably, just three months later,

:26:18. > :26:20.a second child in the family was diagnosed with the same kind

:26:21. > :26:28.She's had to undergo surgery and intensive chemotherapy just

:26:29. > :26:33.As any family coping with a severe illness will tell you,

:26:34. > :26:36.caring for a child in hospital is all-consuming.

:26:37. > :26:39.The strain on the family is immense and this is a family already

:26:40. > :26:47.Mum stayed at home to look after three of the children and Dad

:26:48. > :26:50.gave up his job to become a full-time carer at the hospital.

:26:51. > :26:52.The loss of income has meant that the family,

:26:53. > :26:59.The little one-year-old is now at home but the side effects

:27:00. > :27:02.of chemotherapy means that she's very sick.

:27:03. > :27:05.Her sheets have to be washed constantly and her mattress

:27:06. > :27:09.The family just don't have the money to buy new ones.

:27:10. > :27:13.This family has been through so much.

:27:14. > :27:18.But, thanks to your donations to Children in Need,

:27:19. > :27:24.an organisation called Buttle UK has been able to help.

:27:25. > :27:26.They supply emergency essentials for families living

:27:27. > :27:31.Thanks to you, they were able to provide a grant that bought

:27:32. > :27:35.She now has somewhere warm and dry to sleep and,

:27:36. > :27:41.There are 3.9 million children living in poverty in the UK.

:27:42. > :27:45.It's not their fault that they find themselves in this situation.

:27:46. > :27:48.And every year, Buttle UK receives thousands of applications

:27:49. > :27:58.The simple fact is, they cannot afford to fund all of them.

:27:59. > :28:06.You can help by calling 03457 33 22 33 or visiting

:28:07. > :28:22.Look, I'm new to Children in Need, I'm new to all of this and I have

:28:23. > :28:25.never asked for money on TV before so bear with me - but I grew up

:28:26. > :28:31.And I remember being at Stoke Mandeville Hospital

:28:32. > :28:34.and Children in Need helping my friends

:28:35. > :28:36.there get wheelchairs so they could play sport.

:28:37. > :28:47.If you can donate tonight, then thank you.

:28:48. > :28:50.The number to call is 03457 33 22 33.

:28:51. > :28:59.Where else can you see the former Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer

:29:00. > :29:06.perform a Gangnam Style salsa dressed as Psy from Korea?

:29:07. > :29:08.If you're watching, Ed, don't worry we're laughing

:29:09. > :29:14.But while Balls and Company head up to Blackpool,

:29:15. > :29:16.Strictly opened up their dancefloor to Children in Need

:29:17. > :29:22.Back in Rio, they were going for gold - but tonight,

:29:23. > :29:24.Team GB are vying for the Pudsey-on-a-glitterball trophy.

:29:25. > :29:44.From the Children Strictly ballroom, this is the Strictly

:31:02. > :31:04.They lit up Rio this summer and are hoping to light up this

:31:05. > :31:10.All four of our couples will compete in one special group performance,

:31:11. > :31:13.but they'll be judged individually, and only one couple will walk

:31:14. > :31:15.away with the Children in Need Pudsey trophy.

:31:16. > :31:20.And not only are they rising to the Strictly challenge tonight,

:31:21. > :31:23.they're also hoping to raise lots of money for thousands

:31:24. > :31:28.of disadvantaged children living right here in the UK.

:31:29. > :31:31.There's no voting tonight, as our Children in Need champion

:31:32. > :31:33.will be chosen by four very important people.

:31:34. > :31:49.The number is: pick up the phone.

:31:50. > :31:50.Please, please donate anything you can.

:31:51. > :31:56.Our athletes obviously trained hard for the Rio Games,

:31:57. > :31:58.but how hard have they trained for tonight?

:31:59. > :32:08.I'm Hollie Webb, and I was a member of the women's Team GB hockey team.

:32:09. > :32:10.And I was the one who took the winning penalty.

:32:11. > :32:12.It was the greatest moment of my entire life.

:32:13. > :32:15.Actually, I probably shouldn't say that, it should have

:32:16. > :32:18.been when I got engaged, but...it definitely was.

:32:19. > :32:21.I'm Helen Glover, and I'm two-time Olympic rowing champion.

:32:22. > :32:24.Glover and Stanning defend their Olympic title!

:32:25. > :32:28.Steve and I got married three weeks after the Olympics.

:32:29. > :32:31.He did Strictly, actually, in 2014 - he's really, really intrigued

:32:32. > :32:36.I'm Lutalo Muhammad, Olympic silver medallist

:32:37. > :32:43.In my Olympic final, I was leading up till the last second.

:32:44. > :32:46.Each time I do watch it, I do feel some of the same emotion.

:32:47. > :32:49.I was so close to being Olympic champion!

:32:50. > :32:53.I mean, I don't cry or anything - I'm far too manly for that.

:32:54. > :32:55.I'm Joe Clarke, I'm a kayaker, and I won gold in

:32:56. > :33:00.One of the first things my mum said to me was, "When are

:33:01. > :33:08.Training's going really well.

:33:09. > :33:14.The harder I try, the more confused I'm getting.

:33:15. > :33:16.I'm really scared that my mind's just going to go blank.

:33:17. > :33:19.Really nervous - probably more nervous than I was at the Olympics.

:33:20. > :33:28.She's worked me really hard and never given me any rest

:33:29. > :33:30.so hopefully it's worth it in the end and I can win

:33:31. > :33:37.CHEERING Dancing for the Pudsey Glitterball Trophy,

:33:38. > :36:49.MUSIC: The Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga

:36:50. > :37:14.OK, while our athletes cool down, let's take a moment to thank our

:37:15. > :37:17.Hailey, Lance, Andrea, Tommy and of course,

:37:18. > :37:22.let's not forget Dave Arch and his amazing orchestra.

:37:23. > :37:26.So they are choosing our champion tonight -

:37:27. > :37:28.let's find out if the judges think our athletes

:37:29. > :37:30.are on the right track with that performance.

:37:31. > :37:34.Well, may I just say first of all, thank you so much for giving

:37:35. > :37:38.Hear, hear. APPLAUSE It was brilliant, well done.

:37:39. > :38:05.Craig, our athletes are of course incredibly fit, they're also

:38:06. > :38:11.Well, yes, it did, as a matter of fact, and I'm very proud of them

:38:12. > :38:16.But I'm going to be talking a little bit about Hollie.

:38:17. > :38:24.I'm going to say, if I could ever play hockey, darling,

:38:25. > :38:30.You are absolutely amazing at that.

:38:31. > :38:36.Well, I can't believe, actually, all of you, how much

:38:37. > :38:41.But I have to say, I couldn't take my eyes off your

:38:42. > :38:47.Divine lines that you made, lovely lunge at the very end.

:38:48. > :39:02.So who will be crowned Children in Need champions?

:39:03. > :39:05.Tonight, the judges will make a group decision, while they confer,

:39:06. > :39:15.Now remember, there is no voting at home tonight,

:39:16. > :39:19.but we really want you to help them raise as much money as possible

:39:20. > :39:21.for Children in Need, so don't forget, every penny

:39:22. > :39:27.And the number to call is: right here in the UK.

:39:28. > :39:32.So now it's time to see who is going to take home

:39:33. > :39:45.On behalf of all the judges, Len, as head judge, can you please tell

:39:46. > :39:51.May I first say, if they gave out medals for commitment and effort,

:39:52. > :39:59.you'd all be gold medallists, because you were brilliant.

:40:00. > :40:03.But we have come to a conclusion, and our winners and Children in Need

:40:04. > :40:24.Oh, I don't believe it!

:40:25. > :40:52.You came so close to winning gold in Rio.

:40:53. > :40:58.I just want to say a big thank you to the judges,

:40:59. > :41:01.And of course to my lovely dance partner Karen.

:41:02. > :41:08.Brilliant, thank you so much for taking part.

:41:09. > :41:11.A huge thank you to all our couples and to you at home for

:41:12. > :41:16.We'll be back very soon, but in the meantime...

:41:17. > :41:38.Well done to all our Olympians and of course congratulations

:41:39. > :41:40.to Lutalo Mohammed for bringing home the gold!

:41:41. > :41:50.It was the flying kicks that done it. It was amazing. Got some moves

:41:51. > :41:53.like that, Graham? No. And I'm sure you'll all be delighted

:41:54. > :41:56.to know, that finally puts us Actually, I was out in Rio

:41:57. > :42:02.for the Paralympics No. Not even basketball. You want I

:42:03. > :42:13.could do a few baskets. That's notreally

:42:14. > :42:17.what I was thinking. Here's Matt Baker to tell

:42:18. > :42:21.you about someone brilliant. Of all of my involvement

:42:22. > :42:26.with Children in Need, the thing that I love the most

:42:27. > :42:29.is meeting so many remarkable youngsters and I get to see

:42:30. > :42:32.first-hand how much your donations mean to them and how they give them

:42:33. > :42:35.a chance to make the most Youngsters like Seb,

:42:36. > :42:43.who you're about to meet now. And, despite facing the biggest

:42:44. > :42:48.of challenges in life, his determination to just keep

:42:49. > :42:51.on going is humbling and I'm sure 'It's Seb and Ben up a tree.'

:42:52. > :42:59.as inspirational as I do. Seb

:43:00. > :43:03.and Ben, always Seb and Ben. They were always outside,

:43:04. > :43:04.always playing. They've grown up doing

:43:05. > :43:10.so many things together. They played football

:43:11. > :43:12.on Saturdays, rugby on Sundays. 'Go!' Seb is very competitive

:43:13. > :43:19.in pretty much everything. On 13th April 2014, the boys played

:43:20. > :43:29.in their first rugby tournament. We just expected to have a good

:43:30. > :43:37.journey back. Have a laugh on the bus

:43:38. > :43:40.with all our friends. We were just travelling along

:43:41. > :43:43.and then suddenly I just heard this shout of, "Stop the bus,

:43:44. > :43:50.stop the bus!" And I turned round to the guy next

:43:51. > :43:53.to me and the door Somebody shouted, "Somebody's fallen

:43:54. > :43:59.out. Seb had gone under the back

:44:00. > :44:09.wheels of the coach. The coach had run

:44:10. > :44:11.over his right leg. I got there, held his hands

:44:12. > :44:17.and told him I was here. He just looked at me and said,

:44:18. > :44:27."Am I going to die, Daddy?" Seb's injuries were so severe that

:44:28. > :44:31.doctors had no choice but to amputate his right leg

:44:32. > :44:34.above the knee and he had to be And they told us it's a severe brain

:44:35. > :44:45.injury and to expect that, you know, when Seb wakes up,

:44:46. > :44:52.he's going to be a different boy. When Seb came out of his coma,

:44:53. > :44:56.the first time I saw him he kind of just looked at me and was kind

:44:57. > :45:00.of like crying. He was frustrated he

:45:01. > :45:08.couldn't talk to me. At that point in time,

:45:09. > :45:12.we'd got no idea where to go next. After five months in hospital,

:45:13. > :45:30.Seb's family turned to The Children's Trust,

:45:31. > :45:32.a rehabilitation centre for children It is supported by your donations

:45:33. > :45:37.to Children in Need. When Seb came to us he had a lot

:45:38. > :45:41.of difficulties, a lot of problems It was so hard for him because Seb

:45:42. > :45:45.was always used to succeeding. He'd lost a lot of skills,

:45:46. > :45:55.but he was bright, cheeky and raring to go and very keen

:45:56. > :45:59.to progress with his rehab. With sheer determination

:46:00. > :46:04.and constant support, Seb started to learn many things

:46:05. > :46:08.all over again. The Children's Trust

:46:09. > :46:11.were by his side all the way. And in December 2014,

:46:12. > :46:16.Seb came home. After my accident,

:46:17. > :46:22.I wanted to get strong. But then, now I realise

:46:23. > :46:32.it's not impossible. You've just got to put your mind

:46:33. > :46:36.to it and you can do anything. Seb can do whatever

:46:37. > :46:39.he wants, really. There's nobody that's

:46:40. > :46:43.going to stop him. Playing with your brother,

:46:44. > :46:46.playing with your mates. I missed it so much and I'm pleased

:46:47. > :46:49.I can do it again. That's what The Children's Trust

:46:50. > :47:12.has done to help me. I tell you what is fantastic, Seb,

:47:13. > :47:20.you are. Look at you now, just brilliant.

:47:21. > :47:23.As you saw, Seb was given a huge amount of support

:47:24. > :47:25.by the Children's Trust and we need to keep supporting

:47:26. > :47:30.You know how to do that by now I think but just in case

:47:31. > :47:34.You can donate online at bbc.co.uk/ Pudsey or you can

:47:35. > :47:38.Thank you. Right, there's a whole load

:47:39. > :47:41.of amazing work going on around the country this time of year,

:47:42. > :47:44.so let's take a look at how BBC Children in Need is supporting

:47:45. > :48:04.just introduce to you a gorgeous and brave little girl, Chloe, who is

:12:19. > :12:21.about one lovely man. And one man who can

:12:22. > :12:26.never be replaced. Sir Terry Wogan is sadly no longer

:12:27. > :12:30.with us but will never be forgotten. He was our hero and he will always

:12:31. > :12:35.be in our hearts, particularly We know there have been many

:12:36. > :12:43.tributes, but we wanted to make one just for his work

:12:44. > :12:45.on Children in Need. Let's remind ourselves of how

:12:46. > :12:59.very brilliant he was. Tonight is a very important night

:13:00. > :13:02.for the nation's children, a chance for us all to do something like

:13:03. > :13:11.changing for the people who need it most. We've got our usual

:13:57. > :14:01.you. APPLAUSE CHEERING

:14:02. > :14:04.Sir Terry Wogan. We wanted to find a way

:14:08. > :14:35.lovely Wogan, Sir Terry's son Lovely to have you here. It's quite

:14:36. > :14:39.heavy, that. Could you explain to people how important children in

:14:40. > :14:43.need was to your dad. I mean, it was his favourite night of the year.

:14:44. > :14:48.Mainly because the money raised tonight, and throughout the year,

:14:49. > :14:54.actually made a difference. Two people who need it. And that's why

:15:23. > :15:26.CHEERING You're here for a special reason, I

:15:27. > :15:31.believe this is something to do with it. Explain to us white you are here

:15:32. > :15:32.tonight. It's actually all Matt Baker's fault. He came up with the

:15:33. > :15:47.idea. He came up with the fundraiser of

:15:48. > :15:51.the year award, and it is about people who have gone above and

:15:52. > :15:54.beyond, who have raised not necessarily enormous amounts of

:15:55. > :15:59.money, but who have showed determination and creativity, and

:16:00. > :16:06.people who inspire other people to do great things. And have you found

:16:07. > :16:15.a winner? Yes, we have. And this is why they've won.

:16:16. > :16:18.When I was six years old, I was watching the Children In Need

:17:19. > :17:24.Congratulations, what inspired you to get involved in this? Well, I won

:17:25. > :17:28.Pudsey Bear in a raffle in primary one, when I was five. That year, I

:17:29. > :17:33.watched the Children in Need show, and once I saw everything on it, I

:17:34. > :17:40.decided to fund raise the following year. Well done, that's incredible.

:17:41. > :17:46.How did you feel when you found out you won? Well, I only found out I'd

:17:54. > :17:57.congratulating me! Listen, you should be so proud of yourself and I

:17:58. > :18:04.know that Sir Terry would be so proud of you. Mark? Now, Dad always

:18:05. > :18:08.said that Children in Need was the thing that he was most proud of his

:18:09. > :18:13.entire career. He said he was just one player in a massive team, and

:18:14. > :18:18.that you are at home were the real stars. It was always about helping

:18:19. > :18:22.the children for him. I know he would want you to watch next film.

:18:23. > :18:28.It's a really important one. Here's Sheridan Smith.

:18:29. > :18:31.We say thank you to many people on nights like this but the biggest

:18:32. > :18:35.thank you of all needs to go to the brave families who let

:18:36. > :18:38.Many of them have lived with unimaginable pain and grief

:18:39. > :18:41.but they want to thank the people who have helped them.

:18:42. > :18:43.That's why this next family want to talk to you.

:18:44. > :18:48.Theirs is a heartbreaking story, but please, please stay with it.

:18:49. > :18:52.When Abigail was born, we thought we'd got a perfect family.

:18:53. > :18:57.As long as they're healthy, what more could you ask for?

:18:58. > :19:02.He looked after her, sat with her, played

:19:03. > :19:07.The first words out of his mouth were, "She's a little cutie."

:19:08. > :19:15.You don't expect them both to be the same,

:19:16. > :19:18.but we definitely knew there was something wrong.

:19:19. > :19:21.When Abigail was just one, she was diagnosed with a life

:19:22. > :19:24.limiting condition that would cause progressive damage

:19:25. > :19:32.It was like we were going to lose our little girl.

:19:33. > :19:34.They told us that she had three to four years.

:19:35. > :19:38.We had to prepare then that that was all we were going to get

:19:39. > :19:42.and be thankful that we got her, which we was.

:19:43. > :19:45.As Abigail's condition got worse, her family turned to Claire House,

:19:46. > :19:53.a children's hospice supported by your donations.

:19:54. > :19:58.Thanks to your generosity, amazing play therapists are able

:19:59. > :20:01.to give families much-needed care and support.

:20:02. > :20:07.Claire House did really help us a lot.

:20:08. > :20:13.And Harrison, as well, when he went to Claire House,

:20:14. > :20:15.he could play with her, sit with her, swim with her.

:20:16. > :20:19.In the beginning, she could still do all that.

:20:20. > :20:22.She'd laugh at him and he thought it was fantastic just

:20:23. > :20:25.to watch her giggle, just because he could make her laugh.

:20:26. > :20:28.We like to think as she got older, and as Harrison got older,

:20:29. > :20:31.they would have been like that, they'd have been close.

:20:32. > :20:40.Just five days before her second birthday, Abigail died.

:20:41. > :20:42.The day after she died, we wouldn't have probably got up

:20:43. > :20:45.that morning but we had to because we had Harrison

:20:46. > :20:47.and even though he was upset, and hurting, he'd lost his sister,

:20:48. > :20:57.So we just carried on the best we could.

:20:58. > :21:09.We had time for doing stuff with Harrison.

:21:10. > :21:11.Everything he asked - "I want to play rugby."

:21:12. > :21:14."I want to play golf." OK, we look into that.

:21:15. > :21:17.You have a child and they want to do something, why say no

:21:18. > :21:28.because you never know what's going to happen?

:21:29. > :21:31.He started complaining of a sore leg and we just...

:21:32. > :21:36.They called us in and said it's broke.

:21:37. > :21:41.And I'm thinking, he's just fractured his leg, you know.

:21:42. > :21:49.The bone had fractured because there was something growing

:21:50. > :21:58.In April 2014, the family were given the unbearable news that

:21:59. > :22:19.Harrison's treatment started straight away and he had

:22:20. > :22:22.an operation to remove the tumour from his leg.

:22:23. > :22:25.When he came round, his first words were,

:22:26. > :22:35.And he said, "Well, at least my pain is gone."

:22:36. > :22:41.He said to the doctor, "I know you've done your best.

:22:42. > :22:49.With Harrison facing many new challenges, once

:22:50. > :22:54.again, the family turned to Claire House for support.

:22:55. > :22:56.Right from when I met him, Harrison was just gorgeous.

:22:57. > :23:01.He was going through treatment, had a rough time.

:23:02. > :23:05.He couldn't join in the same things his friends were doing

:23:06. > :23:08.so we talked about things he'd like to do and we said,

:23:09. > :23:10.one by one, we'll try and work through and

:23:11. > :23:14.So we just chatted about anything he fancied doing and he came

:23:15. > :23:20.So every few weeks to months or so we'd arrange a nice treat

:23:21. > :23:25.and we did do some really good stuff.

:23:26. > :23:36.Having a smile on his face was enough for us.

:23:37. > :23:48.For a while I think he forgot he was ill.

:23:49. > :23:52.It got worse and we ended up in a high dependency unit.

:23:53. > :23:55.And even then he sat up talking and was laughing and joking.

:23:56. > :24:04.Told us he was sorry for causing all this fuss.

:24:05. > :24:19.There's not a minute of any day that I don't think about the pair of them

:24:20. > :24:26.They was both happy no matter what was wrong.

:24:27. > :24:30.She used to laugh and giggle until she couldn't and he did

:24:31. > :24:34.Without Claire House there's a lot of things we wouldn't have done.

:24:35. > :24:51.Here now, with the official Children in Need single -

:24:52. > :24:55.I'd ask you to remember that wonderful hospices

:24:56. > :24:57.like the one you've just seen, mainly depend on donations

:24:58. > :25:16.# But I've been called into the light

:25:17. > :25:21.# Something about you makes me stronger

:25:22. > :25:28.# But all the lows, they feel like highs

:25:29. > :26:25.# The tears will fall when my eyes close

:26:26. > :27:12.# Try to say the words but make no sound

:27:13. > :27:23.# Show me that you'll always be around

:27:24. > :28:21.# But time let us down

:28:22. > :29:00.Wow! That was beautiful! Really, really good. Massive thank you to

:29:01. > :29:23.Craig David, everybody! It's time for the totaliser,
