0:09:49 > 0:09:53- I knew nothing about horses - before I got married.

0:09:53 > 0:09:56- What did Roscoe, - Ifor's father, teach you?

0:10:00 > 0:10:03- ..and how to brush a horse.

0:10:03 > 0:10:06- But the main thing - was how to prepare them for a show.

0:10:07 > 0:10:09- How to load a wheelbarrow.

0:10:09 > 0:10:11- Who knew there was a proper way?!

0:10:51 > 0:10:56- Before the days of the tractor...

0:10:56 > 0:10:59- ..Ceredigion - was full of small farms.

0:10:59 > 0:11:01- The cob did all the work.

0:11:02 > 0:11:03- Most farms had just one cob.

0:11:04 > 0:11:06- That was a mare, usually.

0:11:06 > 0:11:10- It was used - for ploughing, harvesting...

0:11:10 > 0:11:15- It did everything on the farm, - as well as raising foals.

0:11:20 > 0:11:22- The cob in Ceredigion...

0:11:22 > 0:11:25- ..is like the Houses of Parliament - in London.

0:11:47 > 0:11:50- Year on year, a collection grows.

0:11:50 > 0:11:52- Year on year, a collection grows.- - What are you recording here?

0:11:53 > 0:11:57- For me, it records a bygone age.

0:11:58 > 0:12:00- I still enjoy antiques.

0:12:01 > 0:12:03- If children come here...

0:12:03 > 0:12:08- ..they can't imagine - a horse having to pull a plough.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10- They can't link the two things.

0:12:10 > 0:12:15- We try to show them - how the horses used to work.

0:12:15 > 0:12:18- The threshing machine, - pulling the hay cart.

0:12:18 > 0:12:19- These are cobs.

0:12:20 > 0:12:23- This shows a bygone age.

0:12:23 > 0:12:27- Of all the pieces, - does something stand out?

0:12:27 > 0:12:30- Well, there's the saddle.

0:12:30 > 0:12:35- That belonged to Ifor's father - and he used it on Dewi Rosina.

0:12:35 > 0:12:37- That means a lot to us.

0:12:37 > 0:12:40- We've kept it through the years.

0:12:48 > 0:12:50- This is a rein for a mare.

0:12:50 > 0:12:55- It has been worn by many - of our Royal Welsh Show winners.

0:12:56 > 0:13:00- Groten Goch, Princess, Rosinda... - I could go on and on.

0:13:00 > 0:13:04- I spent hours as a boy - going through these journals.

0:14:40 > 0:14:43- ..have been shown in the ring.

0:15:27 > 0:15:31- As far as riding is concerned, - geldings do have an advantage.

0:15:39 > 0:15:42- When did you start judging, Ifor?

0:17:01 > 0:17:06- Some people ask me - why I judge so quickly.
