0:07:39 > 0:07:44- My daughter has grown up and she - doesn't want to continue but I do!

0:09:07 > 0:09:10- The school boys - are quite fascinating.

0:09:11 > 0:09:15- They obviously belong to - some sort of prep school in Cardiff.

0:09:15 > 0:09:18- They are on the beach, - paddling in the sea...

0:09:18 > 0:09:22- ..wearing their shorts - and red school blazers!

0:10:22 > 0:10:27- The film is quite fake - with its BBC English voiceover...

0:10:32 > 0:10:34- I've learnt to make clogs...

0:10:34 > 0:10:40- ..so it was interesting to watch - the Porthmadog man making clogs.

0:11:22 > 0:11:28- Penarth obviously thought of itself - as the Welsh St Tropez or Cannes!

0:11:28 > 0:11:32- It could explain the English opinion - of the Welsh.

0:11:32 > 0:11:36- They have a quirky, folksy, - strange and old-fashioned...

0:11:36 > 0:11:39- ..opinion of the Welsh.

0:12:02 > 0:12:08- ..you could recognize people - and places from your childhood...

0:44:44 > 0:44:47- ..but this one is 8!

0:44:52 > 0:44:55- I'll have to remember that one.

0:44:55 > 0:44:56- What about the next one?

0:44:57 > 0:45:01- Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - is very popular.

0:45:01 > 0:45:06- This makes it more difficult - to sell French Sauvignon Blanc.

0:45:06 > 0:45:11- Sancerre is the Sauvignon Blanc - from France.

0:45:12 > 0:45:16- People prefer one from New Zealand - and are willing to pay for it too.

0:45:17 > 0:45:21- It's easier to find someone - to pay 15 for a New Zealand wine...

0:45:21 > 0:45:24- ..than it is to sell a French wine.

0:45:24 > 0:45:29- But this is a gold medal winning - wine that is 9 a bottle.

0:45:30 > 0:45:33- That's a good price - for a wine from New Zealand.

0:45:33 > 0:45:37- The aroma is what you expect - from New Zealand.

0:45:37 > 0:45:42- It's full-bodied - and you can smell the elderflower.

0:45:42 > 0:45:46- In English, you would say - that it's very pungent.

0:45:46 > 0:45:48- It catches you in the nose.

0:45:49 > 0:45:50- Yes, it's nice.

0:45:50 > 0:45:55- It's quite something to only pay 9 - for an award-winning wine.

0:45:55 > 0:46:00- Yes, and Cloudy Bay - is another famous wine.

0:46:00 > 0:46:04- I'm not sure if Cloudy Bay - has a gold medal.

0:46:04 > 0:46:08- It's on the same level - as the Cloudy Bay and Greywacke...

0:46:09 > 0:46:12- ..and other Sauvignon Blanc wine - from New Zealand.

0:46:13 > 0:46:14- Let's move to red wine.

0:46:20 > 0:46:22- Try an award-winning one.

0:46:22 > 0:46:27- This Merlot from Chile got silver - at the International Wine Challenge.

0:46:27 > 0:46:30- It's quite light - in terms of alcohol content.

0:46:30 > 0:46:35- They can be very full and strong - with a 14% alcohol content...

0:46:36 > 0:46:38- ..but this one is only 12.5%.

0:46:41 > 0:46:44- It doesn't smell as strong - as the Sauvignon Blanc.

0:46:45 > 0:46:49- No, but it's the dark - and sweet fruit...

0:46:49 > 0:46:53- ..that I look for - and hope to find in a Merlot.

0:46:57 > 0:46:59- Oh, that's nice.

0:46:59 > 0:47:03- I said that I'm not a fan - of red wine but this is light.

0:47:03 > 0:47:07- Yes, and lighter than - what you would expect from Chile.

0:47:08 > 0:47:13- It won silver so puts it in a higher - market than it's 7 price tag!

0:47:14 > 0:47:19- These are all award-winning wines - that are very reasonably priced.

0:47:20 > 0:47:26- Does that mean that they will be - readily available for us to buy?

0:47:26 > 0:47:30- It's a problem as bottles fly off - the shelves after these awards.

0:47:31 > 0:47:33- When I go looking for wine...

0:47:33 > 0:47:38- ..it's often the case that the - award-winning wine has sold out.

0:47:38 > 0:47:40- People buy them straight away.

0:47:41 > 0:47:45- The awards have just been released - so you should be able to get them.

0:47:46 > 0:47:49- That was some very useful advice.

0:47:49 > 0:47:50- That's all for today.

0:47:51 > 0:47:53- The past hour has flown by!

0:47:53 > 0:47:55- I'll be back next week.

0:47:55 > 0:47:59- Until then, - keep practicing your Welsh.

0:47:59 > 0:48:03- It's important to try - but have plenty of fun too.

0:48:03 > 0:48:05- A very good morning to you all.
