0:16:16 > 0:16:26- I lost my mother - when I was ten years old.

0:16:26 > 0:16:32- It was when I started - to feel depressed.

0:16:32 > 0:16:38- I did find ways of getting myself...

0:16:38 > 0:16:44- ..out of feeling depressed.

0:16:44 > 0:16:53- In the Sixth Form, I had bad acne.

0:16:54 > 0:16:58- My doctor sent me to - the specialist...

0:16:58 > 0:17:05- ..and I was put on medication.

0:17:05 > 0:17:15- The medication affected my life...

0:17:15 > 0:17:21- ..and I got to the stage - where I wanted to take my life.

0:17:21 > 0:17:33- I stopped taking the medication.

0:17:38 > 0:17:44- The hospital refused to see me - before my appointment.

0:17:44 > 0:17:51- I told them that - I was stopping my medication.

0:17:52 > 0:18:04- They told me that - it was my decision!

0:18:06 > 0:18:12- There wasn't a lot of support - at the time.

0:18:12 > 0:18:17- I was sent to a counsellor.

0:18:18 > 0:18:21- It didn't make a lot of difference.

0:18:21 > 0:18:32- I felt too young to feel that way.

0:18:32 > 0:18:38- I thought depression only - affected older people.

0:18:38 > 0:18:44- You have been very brave - to share your story.

0:18:44 > 0:18:52- But you've come through this all.

0:18:52 > 0:18:59- We want to show people there - is light at the end of the tunnel.

0:19:00 > 0:19:09- I stopped that medication - ten years ago.

0:19:10 > 0:19:20- I've had a few knocks - in those ten years...

0:19:20 > 0:19:24- ..but the depression - didn't come back.

0:19:24 > 0:19:30- I hope it doesn't back!

0:19:30 > 0:19:34- What is your advice for others?

0:19:34 > 0:19:38- I want people to know - that there is hope.
