0:13:58 > 0:14:02- I'm also raising money - for the Alzheimer's Society.

0:14:02 > 0:14:09- This isn't an illness for the old as - it can affect many young people too.

0:14:09 > 0:14:14- We need to do more research - into providing care.

0:14:14 > 0:14:19- I've chosen to run - for Parkinson's UK.

0:14:19 > 0:14:23- It's a worthy charity that's - very important to my family...

0:14:23 > 0:14:28- ..as both my father and uncle - have Parkinson's.

0:14:28 > 0:14:38- It's a charity that helps sufferers - to live normal lives.

0:14:38 > 0:14:43- I've chosen to run - for Action For Children.

0:14:44 > 0:14:47- I work with children with special - needs and learning disabilities.

0:14:48 > 0:14:52- Action For Children - supports some of those schools.

0:14:53 > 0:15:02- It also helps children who haven't - had the best start in life.

0:15:02 > 0:15:09- I tragically lost a cousin - to stomach cancer a few years ago.

0:15:09 > 0:15:14- Everyone knows somebody who has been - affected by the disease.

0:15:14 > 0:15:20- This prompted me to run the marathon - because he is still greatly missed.

0:15:20 > 0:15:27- I wanted a local, Welsh charity - so I chose the St David's Hospice.

0:15:28 > 0:15:35- My wife ran the London Marathon - last year so she set the benchmark!

0:15:35 > 0:15:40- I was asked to run the marathon - by the charity, Tros Gynnal Plant.

0:15:40 > 0:15:46- A few years ago, - The Children's Society left Wales...

0:15:46 > 0:15:52- ..and stopped caring for children - who are mistreated or needed homes.

0:15:52 > 0:15:59- This charity takes its name from - a translation by Sion Aled Owen.

0:15:59 > 0:16:06- The charity cares for children who - are mistreated or living in poverty.

0:16:06 > 0:16:15- I'm honoured to run for them thanks - to my role in inspiring the name.

0:16:15 > 0:16:20- This is one of the iconic marathons - in the world.

0:16:20 > 0:16:25- I've run in Berlin, New York and - Dublin so I had to do London too!

0:16:34 > 0:16:41- Our spring photography competition - has again been a great success.
