0:43:46 > 0:43:50- # Do you think the Wizard is dumb?

0:43:50 > 0:43:53- # Or, like Munchkins, - so small minded? No!

0:43:53 > 0:43:56- # He'll say to me, - "I see who you truly are"

0:43:57 > 0:44:00- # "A girl of whom I can rely"

0:44:00 > 0:44:06- # And that's how we'll - begin The Wizard and I

0:44:09 > 0:44:12- # Once I'm with the Wizard

0:44:12 > 0:44:15- # My whole life will change

0:44:15 > 0:44:18- # 'Cause once you're with the Wizard

0:44:19 > 0:44:21- # No one thinks you're strange

0:44:22 > 0:44:24- # No father is not proud of you

0:44:25 > 0:44:28- # No sister acts ashamed

0:44:28 > 0:44:34- # And all of Oz has to love you

0:44:34 > 0:44:38- # When by the Wizard, - you're acclaimed

0:44:38 > 0:44:41- # And this gift or - this curse I have inside

0:44:41 > 0:44:44- # Maybe at last I'll know why

0:44:44 > 0:44:48- # As we work hand in hand, - the Wizard and I

0:44:48 > 0:44:50- # And one day, he'll say to me

0:44:50 > 0:44:54- # "Elphaba, - a girl who is so superior"

0:44:54 > 0:44:58- # "Shouldn't a girl who's so good - inside have a matching exterior"

0:44:58 > 0:45:01- # "And since folks here - to an absurd degree"

0:45:01 > 0:45:06- # "Seem fixated on your vedigris"

0:45:06 > 0:45:10- # "Would it be all right with you"

0:45:10 > 0:45:15- # "If I degreenify you?"

0:45:15 > 0:45:19- # And though of course - that's not important to me

0:45:19 > 0:45:22- # "All right, why not?" I'll reply

0:45:22 > 0:45:28- # Oh what a pair we'll be, - the Wizard and I

0:45:28 > 0:45:33- # "What a pair we'll be - the Wizard and I

0:45:36 > 0:45:40- # Unlimited

0:45:40 > 0:45:44- # My future is unlimited

0:45:45 > 0:45:50- # And I've just had a vision - almost like a prophecy

0:45:50 > 0:45:53- # I know, it sounds truly crazy

0:45:53 > 0:45:57- # And true, the vision's hazy

0:45:57 > 0:46:02- # But I swear, some day there'll be

0:46:02 > 0:46:05- # A celebration throughout Oz

0:46:06 > 0:46:14- # That's all to do with me

0:46:15 > 0:46:19- # And I'll stand there - with the Wizard

0:46:19 > 0:46:22- # Feeling things I've never felt

0:46:23 > 0:46:25- # And though I'd never show it

0:46:26 > 0:46:29- # I'll be so happy, I could melt

0:46:29 > 0:46:33- # And so it will be - for the rest of my life

0:46:33 > 0:46:36- # And I'll want nothing else - till I die

0:46:36 > 0:46:39- # Held in such high esteem

0:46:40 > 0:46:43- # When people see me, - they will scream

0:46:43 > 0:46:46- # For half of Oz's favourite team

0:46:47 > 0:46:55- # The Wizard and I #
