0:03:46 > 0:03:51- ..as when I think of Matthew Rhys, - I think of the rugby player.

0:03:52 > 0:03:56- It's an honour to be nominated...

0:03:56 > 0:04:05- ..especially as I've lived - outside Wales since graduating.

0:04:06 > 0:04:13- This is the first prize that - I've been nominated for in 20 years.

0:05:01 > 0:05:07- I was nominated for my agricultural - invention, The Easy Fencer.

0:05:18 > 0:05:24- It must be a real honour to be - invited to the Senedd building.

0:05:35 > 0:05:41- Dewi Rogers has come - all the way from Perugia in Italy.

0:05:41 > 0:05:45- Over 20 years ago, - I developed a new technology...

0:05:45 > 0:05:50- ..to reduce the amount of water - that's lost in water systems.

0:05:50 > 0:05:55- I've worked with water companies - in both Britain and America...

0:05:56 > 0:06:02- ..and I've been in Italy - for the past 20 years.

0:06:02 > 0:06:07- I now run my own company in Italy - and employ Italian staff.

0:13:48 > 0:13:56- I'm joined by Stephen Hughes, - the head of the foundation course.

0:14:35 > 0:14:44- This is the best course in Wales.

0:14:45 > 0:14:52- I'll be going to London - after finishing this course.

0:15:06 > 0:15:08- It helped me realize - that I want to work in film.

0:15:16 > 0:15:23- They attended Welsh-medium schools - and wanted to work in a Welsh area.

0:15:23 > 0:15:30- They sampled everything in term one - and chose their subject in term two.

0:15:30 > 0:15:37- Many of them turned out - to be successful.

0:15:37 > 0:15:42- I was a fantastic - and unforgettable experience.

0:15:43 > 0:15:49- We were all in one group - and chose what we wanted to do.

0:15:49 > 0:15:55- I could choose different options - to find out what I wanted to do.

0:15:55 > 0:16:01- After finishing the foundation - course, I did a degree at Stafford.

0:16:01 > 0:16:07- I studied glass for three years - then an apprenticeship in Siena.

0:16:07 > 0:16:10- I studied fused glass in Stoke...

0:16:10 > 0:16:16- ..and created and restored - religious stained glass in Siena.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21- I've mapped out a career - in stained glass.

0:16:22 > 0:16:27- I make a great living out of it - in Bryn, Llanelli.

0:16:28 > 0:16:33- It was a fantastic experience - and I'll never forget it.

0:16:33 > 0:16:38- It's 25 years - since I did the foundation course.

0:16:38 > 0:16:46- It enabled me to stay local and - work through the medium of Welsh.

0:16:47 > 0:16:53- I'm a craftswoman at the National - Wool Museum in Drefach Felindre.

0:16:54 > 0:17:02- I do some designing, tend to the - machinery and focus on the crafts.

0:17:03 > 0:17:11- The course gave me the confidence to - persevere in the field of textiles.

0:17:12 > 0:17:18- It was a memorable 18 months.

0:17:18 > 0:17:24- Anyone who has studied the course - feels the same way.

0:17:24 > 0:17:29- People who I've met over the years - and done the course feel the same.

0:17:30 > 0:17:35- It's incredibly inspirational - and it's an excellent course.

0:17:35 > 0:17:41- Sometimes, your talent and strength - lies in something you don't expect.

0:17:42 > 0:17:45- Many A level pupils - have come from school...

0:17:46 > 0:17:51- ..where they haven't experienced - pottery, but you can do that here.

0:17:55 > 0:18:03- I was taught by excellent tutors who - were inspirational like you, Huw!

0:18:03 > 0:18:10- Osi Osmond was head of the course - and he was a very special gentleman.

0:18:30 > 0:18:35- Peter Spriggs is one - of the lecturers in Carmarthen.

0:18:47 > 0:18:51- Dog lovers can unite and share their - passion for canines in Birmingham...

0:19:03 > 0:19:08- This year marks 125 years of Crufts - so we've joined in the celebrations.

0:19:09 > 0:19:17- Elin met a lady who helps the people - who exhibit their pooches at Crufts.

0:19:21 > 0:19:27- I'm the first to admit that I enjoy - getting my hair and nails done...

0:19:27 > 0:19:35- ..but our pets, especially dogs, - also enjoy some pampering.

0:19:39 > 0:19:45- ..that Sioned Jones, who farms - on the banks of the Menai Strait...

0:19:45 > 0:19:49- ..has established a business - called Digon o Sioe.

0:19:50 > 0:19:56- I studied agriculture at Glynllifon - but needed to diversify.

0:19:56 > 0:20:00- That's why I chose to open - a dog grooming business.

0:20:01 > 0:20:05- Did you choose dog grooming - because you love dogs?

0:20:05 > 0:20:11- Yes, and I've got my own shih tzu - who doesn't like grooming parlours.

0:20:11 > 0:20:16- I thought it was easier to do it - myself and it went from there.

0:20:18 > 0:20:22- For the last four years, - Sioned was a mobile dog groomer...

0:20:23 > 0:20:26- ..but the business has expanded.

0:20:26 > 0:20:31- She has a trailer on the farm - and offers an array of treatments.

0:20:33 > 0:20:40- It's very pink and I feel - as if I'm in a salon for people!

0:20:44 > 0:20:49- I take all kinds of dogs - at Digon o Sioe.

0:20:49 > 0:20:55- They can be clipped, styled, - have their faces and ears cleaned...

0:20:59 > 0:21:04- ..so there's a lot of treatments - besides the nail painting.

0:21:08 > 0:21:13- He's a cute little white dog with - the best name in the world - Rebel.
