0:03:29 > 0:03:35- It was established in 1985 and has - rescued over 350 horses and ponies.

0:03:38 > 0:03:42- Our motto is to rescue, - rehabilitate and re-home.

0:03:47 > 0:03:55- ..nurse them back to health - and try to re-home them...

0:03:56 > 0:04:01- ..in a place that will benefit - the owners as well as the horses.

0:04:03 > 0:04:09- The site offers temporary stables - for about 30 horses.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13- Unfortunately, their work - is more important than ever.

0:04:13 > 0:04:19- A lot of people don't realize the - cost behind caring for these horses.

0:04:25 > 0:04:31- ..but can't look after them - or afford feed and vet's bills...

0:04:36 > 0:04:42- The team of five at Lluest rescue - horses from across South Wales.

0:04:42 > 0:04:49- They recently rescued some horses - from the nearby Black Mountains.

0:04:53 > 0:04:59- A fortnight ago, a vet told us about - some horses on the mountain.

0:05:00 > 0:05:08- We went to see them on the Friday - and they were in urgent need.

0:05:09 > 0:05:16- They had been there for two years - so faced the harsh storms of winter.

0:05:16 > 0:05:20- Luckily, we were able to help them.

0:05:20 > 0:05:24- They are named after the storms - that we had this winter...

0:05:25 > 0:05:29- ..so they are Imogen, - Eva, Henry and Gertrude.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33- What would have happened to these - horses if they hadn't been rescued?

0:05:33 > 0:05:38- They would have been put to sleep.

0:05:38 > 0:05:42- They are segregated from the other - horses for the first six weeks.

0:05:43 > 0:05:48- The vets check the horses - before they join the other horses.

0:05:48 > 0:05:53- It's important to give them - food and water...

0:05:53 > 0:05:58- ..because they were starving after - the winter storms on the mountain...

0:05:58 > 0:06:03- ..so have been eating non-stop - since they arrived!

0:06:03 > 0:06:07- This centre is currently - at its full capacity.

0:06:07 > 0:06:11- The new horses are segregated - for the first six weeks...

0:06:11 > 0:06:15- ..so it gives them time - to find new homes.

0:06:16 > 0:06:21- They house an array of horses and - need practical help from volunteers.

0:06:22 > 0:06:25- More importantly, - they need funds too.

0:06:26 > 0:06:32- A charity in England has given us - funds but it runs out in June.

0:06:33 > 0:06:38- Every month, it costs about 7,000 - to keep all these animals...
