:11:20. > :11:25.of momentous events and Scots were 2012 will be remembered as a year

:11:25. > :11:32.of Scottish heroes and History in the making. It was a year when

:11:37. > :11:43.year. We were buffeted and battered by a 100 miles an hour wind. It

:11:43. > :11:48.blew away any Hogmanay hangovers. In spring, another weather forecast

:11:48. > :11:55.made the news when Prince Charles came to BBC Scotland. The potential

:11:55. > :11:59.for a few flurries over Balmoral... With almost two million hits, it

:12:55. > :13:00.Holyrood in change. A host of Scottish actors were recruited to

:13:00. > :13:10.provide the voices bought a thumb. A Scottish Princess was the story's

:13:10. > :13:11.

:13:11. > :13:16.star. Youngsters were at the heart of the UK's cultural calendar in

:13:16. > :13:22.2012, launching the Cultural Olympiad with an amazing

:13:22. > :13:27.performance alongside the Simon Bolivar Orchestra from Venezuela.

:13:27. > :13:33.It may have been a cold, wet Midsummer's night, but the

:13:33. > :13:37.atmosphere was electric and the launch of a summer to remember. We

:13:37. > :13:47.will have a look back at some more memorable moments in a while, but

:13:47. > :13:47.

:13:47. > :16:13.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 215 seconds

:16:13. > :16:20.now has some memorable music. It is Time to look ahead to 2013 now,

:16:39. > :16:41.of Auld Lang Syne ever attempted. Yes, straight after all the

:16:41. > :16:43.Hogmanay fireworks we'll be getting almost one hundred thousand

:16:43. > :16:46.revellers here in Edinburgh, Stirling and Inverness, and yes,

:16:46. > :16:56.you at home, to join us in Scotland's world famous song of

:16:56. > :17:02.
