0:09:16 > 0:09:19You could say Tring Park was the Hogwarts of the performing arts.

0:09:19 > 0:09:21Last year we were fortunate to take

0:09:21 > 0:09:25part in BBC's Songs Of Praise Senior School Choir Of The Year,

0:09:58 > 0:10:00I work at a prison. I'm a hairdresser.

0:10:00 > 0:10:04And I own a bacon factory. The best thing at rehearsal, for me,

0:10:11 > 0:10:13ALL: # Be our guest... #

0:10:13 > 0:10:17When we rehearse, we very rarely get the hall to ourselves.

0:15:36 > 0:15:39You guys are very committed, it's very serious, I love it.

0:15:39 > 0:15:41I kind of felt your angst a little bit

0:15:41 > 0:15:43so I think, just for the Riff-Off,

0:15:43 > 0:15:47take a deep breath, you got through the first part, it was fantastic.

0:15:47 > 0:15:51And then for Crescendo, I feel like you have really great vocal control

0:15:51 > 0:15:53and every time there was a soloist,

0:15:53 > 0:15:56I felt like it wasn't over-singing, it was just exactly what we wanted.

0:15:56 > 0:15:59I think my own note for you guys would be keep the rhythm.

0:15:59 > 0:16:03These things have a nice swing to them so just be mindful of that.

0:16:03 > 0:16:07But I loved the performance. Very excited to see both groups.

0:16:07 > 0:16:08Lovely, Kelis.

0:16:08 > 0:16:12Now, Gareth, did Crescendo sign, seal and deliver for you

0:16:12 > 0:16:14and are you a believer in Tring Park 16?

0:16:14 > 0:16:18I am. Honestly, if I'd been in something that cool and fun...

0:16:18 > 0:16:20My school choir was not that cool.

0:16:20 > 0:16:24I heard hints of the choral sound and I wanted more of that.

0:16:24 > 0:16:27I thought if you're a chamber choir, let's hear some real choral music.

0:16:27 > 0:16:30So I hope that in the Riff-Off, you've got something a little more,

0:16:30 > 0:16:32you know, rich and sonorous.

0:16:32 > 0:16:35And then we have Crescendo. Lots of vocal experience.

0:16:35 > 0:16:37You've been working on that sound very hard.

0:16:37 > 0:16:39You've come out here and done medleys.

0:16:39 > 0:16:42It's tough because you have a very short space of time to win us over

0:16:42 > 0:16:45and I can just be getting into a song and you change it up.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47You've really gotta handle the energy right

0:16:47 > 0:16:50and I thought you did that very well, so that's good.

0:16:50 > 0:16:53Now that's the Motown thing - I want to see what else you've got.

0:16:53 > 0:16:56Now, Joe, what advice would you give to the two groups

0:16:56 > 0:16:59before they meet each other again the old Riff-Offery?

0:16:59 > 0:17:01Just enjoy, settle.

0:17:01 > 0:17:04Obviously there's a lot of nerves, being on that stage.

0:17:04 > 0:17:07I think being out there by yourself is probably a very vulnerable thing

0:17:07 > 0:17:08but you held your own.

0:17:08 > 0:17:11And Crescendo... Damn, Daniel.

0:17:11 > 0:17:14LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE

0:17:14 > 0:17:17I will say the spotlight definitely wasn't on Daniel.

0:17:17 > 0:17:19I mean, everyone had a moment where they showed their vocals

0:17:19 > 0:17:21and that was pretty impressive. Good words, gang.

0:17:21 > 0:17:25OK, only one group will go through to the solo battles later tonight,

0:17:25 > 0:17:28the other is about to be knocked out of the competition.

0:17:28 > 0:17:32Deciding their fate is the themed Riff-Off.

0:17:32 > 0:17:35AUDIENCE: Whoo!

0:17:35 > 0:17:38So let us now reveal your theme.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44AUDIENCE: Oooh...!

0:17:47 > 0:17:49CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:17:49 > 0:17:52Well, the theme is Trouble.

0:17:52 > 0:17:55If there is any trouble, Jodyne is here, very much

0:17:55 > 0:17:59just ready to deal with any situation.

0:17:59 > 0:18:01Good luck, guys, in the Riff-Off.

0:18:09 > 0:18:13# I knew you were trouble when you walked in

0:18:13 > 0:18:16# So shame on me now

0:18:16 > 0:18:19# Flew me to places I'd never been

0:18:19 > 0:18:22ALL: # Now I'm lying on the cold hard ground

0:18:22 > 0:18:25# Oh, oh, oh

0:18:25 > 0:18:28# Trouble, trouble, trouble

0:18:28 > 0:18:32# I knew you were trouble when you walked in

0:18:32 > 0:18:34# Trouble Trouble, trouble

0:18:34 > 0:18:38# I knew you were trouble when you walked in

0:18:38 > 0:18:41# Trouble Trouble, trouble. #

0:18:41 > 0:18:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:18:43 > 0:18:46# Trouble troublemaker, yeah, that's your middle name

0:18:46 > 0:18:48# Whoa-ho-ho

0:18:48 > 0:18:51# I know you're no good but you're stuck in my brain

0:18:51 > 0:18:53# Whoa, whoa, whoa And I wanna know

0:18:53 > 0:18:55ALL: # Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad?

0:18:55 > 0:18:57# Whoa

0:18:57 > 0:19:00# My mind keeps saying Run as fast as you can

0:19:00 > 0:19:01# Troublemaker

0:19:01 > 0:19:05# I say I'm done but, babe, you pull me back

0:19:05 > 0:19:06# Whoa-oh-oh

0:19:06 > 0:19:09# I swear you're giving me a heart attack

0:19:09 > 0:19:11# Troublemaker. #

0:19:11 > 0:19:13CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:19:13 > 0:19:18# I'm on your side

0:19:18 > 0:19:23# Oh, when times get rough

0:19:23 > 0:19:29# And friends just can't be found

0:19:29 > 0:19:36# Like a bridge over troubled water

0:19:36 > 0:19:40# I will lay me down

0:19:40 > 0:19:47# Like a bridge over troubled water Like a bridge over troubled water

0:19:47 > 0:19:54# I will ease your mind. #

0:19:54 > 0:19:58Very good! That was great.

0:19:58 > 0:20:03# I never meant to cause you trouble

0:20:05 > 0:20:10# I never meant to do you wrong

0:20:13 > 0:20:14# Oh, no

0:20:14 > 0:20:18# I see I see

0:20:18 > 0:20:22BOTH: # A spider web and it's me in the middle

0:20:22 > 0:20:25ALL: # Whoa-oh-oh-oh

0:20:25 > 0:20:32# I never meant to cause you trouble

0:20:32 > 0:20:38# Oh, no, I never meant to do you wrong. #

0:20:38 > 0:20:41CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:20:41 > 0:20:43# Right, I should have known you were bad news

0:20:43 > 0:20:45# From the bad boy demeanour and the tattoos

0:20:45 > 0:20:47# Cos most guys only want one thing

0:20:47 > 0:20:50# But I'm undecided, trying to figure out if that's you

0:20:50 > 0:20:52# Either way, though, I think you're worth a test drive

0:20:52 > 0:20:54# So much better than the next guy

0:20:54 > 0:20:57# And a little trouble only makes for a good time

0:20:57 > 0:20:59# So all the normal red flags be a good sign

0:20:59 > 0:21:02ALL: # Don't you come here thinking about it

0:21:02 > 0:21:04# Ain't that far

0:21:04 > 0:21:07# Seem like trouble to me

0:21:07 > 0:21:10# I can tell by the way that you lean

0:21:10 > 0:21:12# And the way that you kiss your teeth

0:21:12 > 0:21:14# And you turn up so flashy clean

0:21:14 > 0:21:18# Smells like trouble to me. #

0:21:18 > 0:21:22# When will somebody save me? When will somebody save me?

0:21:22 > 0:21:24# I got trouble with my baby

0:21:24 > 0:21:25# She got trouble with her baby

0:21:25 > 0:21:27# Cos I know I know

0:21:27 > 0:21:29# I do I do

0:21:29 > 0:21:30# Too much Too much

0:21:30 > 0:21:32# For you I got trouble with my baby

0:21:32 > 0:21:34# Got trouble with my baby

0:21:34 > 0:21:37# I can't go on like this

0:21:37 > 0:21:40# Mama said there'd be days like this

0:21:40 > 0:21:42# Now the whole world knows

0:21:42 > 0:21:44# I got trouble with my baby

0:21:44 > 0:21:45# Trouble with my baby

0:21:45 > 0:21:47# Trouble with my baby

0:21:47 > 0:21:48# Trouble with my baby

0:21:48 > 0:21:51# Trouble with my baby. #

0:21:51 > 0:21:53CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:22:03 > 0:22:06Oh, yeah! I think the judges are the ones who are in trouble right now.

0:22:06 > 0:22:10That was pretty amazing watching two different generations of high-energy

0:22:10 > 0:22:12performers bring it on both sides.

0:22:12 > 0:22:16Tring had backflips and rap but it was when they pulled down to

0:22:16 > 0:22:19those choral harmonies that I think they really threw that sucker punch.

0:22:19 > 0:22:22And on the other hand we had sequins and wagging fingers

0:22:22 > 0:22:24and all kinds of attitude.

0:22:24 > 0:22:26What's it going to be - youthful exuberance?

0:22:26 > 0:22:28Is it going to be seasoned polish?

0:22:28 > 0:22:31It's in your hands, judges.

0:22:31 > 0:22:34I love it when you say "sucker punch."

0:22:34 > 0:22:36MIMICS HIM: Sucker punch.

0:22:36 > 0:22:38Liam, that was extraordinary.

0:22:38 > 0:22:43How do you sing like that and then produce a flick-flack?

0:22:43 > 0:22:47A lot of work and practice.

0:22:47 > 0:22:50Guys, that was absolutely brilliant.

0:22:50 > 0:22:54Now, hello, Tom. Hello, how are you? Very good indeed.

0:22:54 > 0:22:57Now, how was that for you? What do you make of this side?

0:22:57 > 0:23:00They were coming at you, weren't they?

0:23:00 > 0:23:03There was a lot of attitude there. Yeah, they were fantastic.

0:23:03 > 0:23:08Absolutely brilliant. But hopefully us old people, you know, brought it.

0:23:08 > 0:23:12Can I just say, I very much enjoyed the bit

0:23:12 > 0:23:15when you gave "Damn, Daniel" a slap across the face!

0:23:15 > 0:23:19Did you catch that bit, judges? She gave him a whack round the face.

0:23:19 > 0:23:22No, could we see it again? I'm sorry, I missed it.

0:23:23 > 0:23:27Gareth, there was, quite literally, double trouble going up here.

0:23:27 > 0:23:28We really enjoyed it.

0:23:28 > 0:23:32If I start with Crescendo, you just make excellent tone choices,

0:23:32 > 0:23:34so when you need to be sinewy and thin,

0:23:34 > 0:23:37you're doing these very thin "Ahh" in the background,

0:23:37 > 0:23:39and then you brought it out to a lovely, rich "Ohh!"

0:23:39 > 0:23:41It's quite sonorous.

0:23:41 > 0:23:44I thought that was very stylish, so very well done.

0:23:44 > 0:23:46Moving over to Tring Park 16.

0:23:46 > 0:23:51Wow! Secret weapon - Matt, the rap, totally not expecting that.

0:23:51 > 0:23:53That was great fun.

0:23:53 > 0:23:58Listen, I have been waiting for a choir to sing in eight parts

0:23:58 > 0:23:59and you did.

0:23:59 > 0:24:02For 16-, 17-, 18-year-olds to sing like that,

0:24:02 > 0:24:03I thought it was really lovely.

0:24:03 > 0:24:07They weren't all perfectly executed but, boy, there was

0:24:07 > 0:24:09a lot of variety, so very well done.

0:24:09 > 0:24:11Kelis, what are your thoughts right now?

0:24:11 > 0:24:14Well, you know, I really do think that Gareth kind of took all of

0:24:14 > 0:24:19the words right out of my mouth - I think he's been reading my notes.

0:24:19 > 0:24:22Crescendo, you guys are so spot-on.

0:24:22 > 0:24:24You kind of put the heart at ease

0:24:24 > 0:24:26and I really enjoy watching you,

0:24:26 > 0:24:29I think you are a lot of fun to watch.

0:24:29 > 0:24:32I was absolutely blown away with Tring Park 16.

0:24:32 > 0:24:35You showed your versatility here, you nailed it.

0:24:35 > 0:24:37Now, Joe, anyone troubling you up here?

0:24:37 > 0:24:39So much trouble as well, yeah.

0:24:39 > 0:24:43Tring Park, the energy level was through the roof.

0:24:43 > 0:24:46You literally showed us every style of music,

0:24:46 > 0:24:47which was really impressive.

0:24:47 > 0:24:49Joe, with the vocals, I was really impressed.

0:24:49 > 0:24:52With a name like that, I assumed you'd be...

0:24:52 > 0:24:54LAUGHTER

0:24:54 > 0:24:56Crescendo, obviously you deliver.

0:24:56 > 0:25:00You guys also had some dance moves, too, which was really impressive.

0:25:00 > 0:25:03Yeah, overall, it's really tough to say.

0:25:03 > 0:25:06You both sounded so wonderful.

0:25:06 > 0:25:08Aw, thanks, Joe. Thank you.

0:25:08 > 0:25:12Now, a profiterole by the ocean is fine, Joe. That's fine.

0:25:12 > 0:25:17Doughnut? Not sure. Profiterole, I'm good with.

0:25:17 > 0:25:22So only one group can go through to tonight's solo battles.

0:25:24 > 0:25:28Joe, which group would you like to see going through to

0:25:28 > 0:25:29tonight's solo battles?

0:25:33 > 0:25:34Tring Park.

0:25:35 > 0:25:37Well done, guys.

0:25:43 > 0:25:46Gareth, who do you think deserves a place in those solo battles?

0:25:46 > 0:25:49I've got to say, this was a very difficult one.

0:25:49 > 0:25:52Both of you were great. But I am going to go for...

0:25:56 > 0:25:57..Tring Park 16.

0:26:06 > 0:26:09Kelis, out of interest, who would you have chosen?

0:26:09 > 0:26:12Obviously I absolutely loved Crescendo

0:26:12 > 0:26:15but I ended up picking Tring Park 16 as well.

0:26:15 > 0:26:17OK. Listen, we're going to be very, very sad

0:26:17 > 0:26:19to say goodbye to you, Crescendo.

0:26:19 > 0:26:23You've brought real vim, vigour and life to proceedings.

0:26:23 > 0:26:24Thank you so, so much.

0:26:28 > 0:26:34We've loved having you here but going though...is Tring Park 16!

0:26:34 > 0:26:38CHEERING

0:27:29 > 0:27:33And then we formed this super group, Vocalities.

0:27:33 > 0:27:37We all miss our countries. That's what brought us together.

0:27:37 > 0:27:38Hi!

0:27:38 > 0:27:41But what we miss the most is the food.

0:27:41 > 0:27:43Everyone brings dishes from their own countries.

0:34:24 > 0:34:28and then we had some really delicate moments from Vocalities.

0:34:28 > 0:34:31I liked that you went from a lovely chord into a kind of drop,

0:34:31 > 0:34:33that worked really well.

0:35:06 > 0:35:10I would say, you know, there's about 100 men up there, I don't know

0:35:10 > 0:35:14how much more vocals you can show but I was really impressed.

0:35:23 > 0:35:26and being from all over the world it's really impressive

0:35:26 > 0:35:31that you can do this in such unison, so I was really impressed.

0:36:03 > 0:36:06But pull back a little bit because your tone is great,

0:36:06 > 0:36:10I just think that you're an alto, so you're in there and then

0:36:10 > 0:36:13you've got these very, like, soft and beautiful, ethereal voices.

0:36:13 > 0:36:17And so I just wanna hear that blend a little bit more.

0:36:17 > 0:36:20But...so good. You guys killed it, it was great. Thank you, judges.

0:40:31 > 0:40:34CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:40:40 > 0:40:44Oh, yeah! That was next-level.

0:40:44 > 0:40:48On one side, the single ladies stacked up their vocal harmonies,

0:40:48 > 0:40:49threw a bunch of sass in there.

0:40:49 > 0:40:52On the other side, we had a whole bunch of cheeky guys

0:40:52 > 0:40:56who went deep with group vocals and over-the-top choreography.

0:40:56 > 0:41:00And did you notice, Mel, that together they told a story?

0:41:00 > 0:41:03It started with single ladies and then we had a proposal,

0:41:03 > 0:41:07going to the chapel, I do, and then in the end it should have been me.

0:41:07 > 0:41:09Something pretty incredible they made together and I get

0:41:09 > 0:41:13the sense that's not the last thing they're going to making together.

0:41:13 > 0:41:16Now, girls, listen,

0:41:16 > 0:41:21up against quite a few testosterone, bowtie-clad lads.

0:41:21 > 0:41:23How did it feel? Was it a tough competition?

0:41:23 > 0:41:27We had so much fun with this battle but...girls have to win.

0:41:29 > 0:41:31CHEERING

0:41:31 > 0:41:33They're laying down the gauntlet.

0:41:35 > 0:41:40Now, listen, that is a beautiful, rich voice. How low can you go?

0:41:40 > 0:41:45DEEP VOICE: # Well, I can go pretty low. #

0:41:45 > 0:41:49That's impressive. That's impressive.

0:41:49 > 0:41:53Now, Joe, which of the two groups will always be a bridesmaid

0:41:53 > 0:41:57and who's going to be the bride tonight, do you think?

0:41:57 > 0:41:59This was actually pretty tough to call.

0:41:59 > 0:42:03It became dance-off at one point. Yes!

0:42:03 > 0:42:05But the gentlemen, the charisma is at a high level.

0:42:05 > 0:42:07Is it Sean?

0:42:07 > 0:42:10Sean, I was really impressed, that voice came out of nowhere.

0:42:10 > 0:42:11And what about Vocalities?

0:42:11 > 0:42:14They had some secret dance moves in their pockets, too, I saw.

0:42:14 > 0:42:17But the song choices were really strong as well.

0:42:17 > 0:42:20Kelis? It was really entertaining to watch.

0:42:20 > 0:42:23I mean, Vocalities, I think you guys have some gorgeous harmonies

0:42:23 > 0:42:26and some really beautiful vocal aerobatics you were doing.

0:42:26 > 0:42:27There were so many harmonies

0:42:27 > 0:42:30that I think you guys really pulled them off very nicely.

0:42:30 > 0:42:32It's going to be tricky, I can sense.

0:42:32 > 0:42:35Gareth, our very own father of the bride,

0:42:35 > 0:42:39who would you like to see live happily ever after?

0:42:39 > 0:42:42I'm going to start with Vocalities. Well done.

0:42:42 > 0:42:44I really admired some of your harmonies.

0:42:44 > 0:42:46I admired your vocal energy.

0:42:46 > 0:42:50I felt like the dance moves were maybe something new for you?

0:42:50 > 0:42:53Yeah, and that's difficult because you are up against a group of lads

0:42:53 > 0:42:56who've just, I mean, you know, their sense of shame has just gone.

0:42:56 > 0:43:00And they're just going for it!

0:43:00 > 0:43:02They agree!

0:43:02 > 0:43:04And I love that. I absolutely loved that.

0:43:04 > 0:43:07But that makes it very difficult for you because even

0:43:07 > 0:43:10when you were singing your socks off and you were singing beautifully,

0:43:10 > 0:43:12my eye was going to you

0:43:12 > 0:43:15because you were just popping off the stage in terms of energy,

0:43:15 > 0:43:18and I think as a performer, you've always got to be

0:43:18 > 0:43:20upping your game, adding, adding.

0:43:20 > 0:43:23If you see someone giving you more, you've gotta give them more.

0:43:23 > 0:43:24That's a tough lesson to learn.

0:43:24 > 0:43:27If I come to you, Ramparts, it was party time.

0:43:27 > 0:43:29It was a Ram-party!

0:43:29 > 0:43:31CHEERING

0:43:31 > 0:43:33It was. The harmony was so much better in that.

0:43:33 > 0:43:36I thought the Going To The Chapel, that really worked for you,

0:43:36 > 0:43:39that's absolutely your genre.

0:43:39 > 0:43:42Very good, but two very, very different performances.

0:43:42 > 0:43:43OK, thank you so much, judges.

0:43:43 > 0:43:48I'm afraid there is only one place left in the next round.

0:43:50 > 0:43:53Gareth, which group would you like to see going through

0:43:53 > 0:43:54to the solo battles?

0:43:54 > 0:43:58It's not all about tone, it's about performance as well.

0:44:01 > 0:44:03For me, The Ramparts had that.

0:44:09 > 0:44:12Joe, who would you like to send through to those solo battles?

0:44:16 > 0:44:19Have to go with Ramparts on this one, yeah.

0:44:24 > 0:44:29Kelis, who would you have gone for? It's a Ramparts party.

0:44:29 > 0:44:32Listen, Vocalities, it's been so lovely having you here.

0:44:32 > 0:44:35Don't give up what you do because you do it brilliantly.

0:44:35 > 0:44:36Wouldn't you agree, everybody?

0:44:36 > 0:44:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:44:40 > 0:44:43Such a great Riff-Off, guys, thank you so much.

0:44:43 > 0:44:46There is only place left in the solo battles.

0:44:46 > 0:44:49Let's meet tonight's final two choral contenders.

0:44:49 > 0:44:51It's the Oxford Alternotives!

0:44:55 > 0:44:58And from London, it's Vox-Xover!

0:45:00 > 0:45:01We are...

0:45:01 > 0:45:03The Oxford Alternotives.

0:45:04 > 0:45:06We're from the University of Oxford.

0:45:06 > 0:45:07We are a mixed a cappella group,

0:45:07 > 0:45:10with people from colleges all over the University.

0:45:10 > 0:45:13We think it's the oldest student a cappella group in the UK.

0:45:13 > 0:45:15We are its current crop.

0:45:15 > 0:45:17# Whether you're a brother or whether you're a mother

0:45:17 > 0:45:19# You're stayin' alive... #

0:45:19 > 0:45:22We are a group of really different personalities and characters.

0:45:22 > 0:45:23JP is Blues cricket.

0:45:23 > 0:45:26Hiba's our cool dancer.

0:45:26 > 0:45:29G-Lo, she is one of the best cellists in the University.

0:45:29 > 0:45:31And Bryce... He's liftable.

0:45:31 > 0:45:33We can lift him up and throw him around.

0:45:38 > 0:45:40We've been working on this performance for months,

0:45:40 > 0:45:42and now we're just ready to get out there,

0:45:42 > 0:45:45wow everyone and beat the other group.

0:45:51 > 0:45:53We are Vox-Xover.

0:45:53 > 0:45:57And we are five professional opera singers from London.

0:45:59 > 0:46:01been in Phantom Of The Opera and Les Miserables.

0:46:01 > 0:46:04We like to add a little bit of rock edge to everything that we do.

0:46:04 > 0:46:06# Thunderbolt and lightning... #

0:46:06 > 0:46:09We were originally a four-piece. Nadia came along as a guest singer,

0:46:09 > 0:46:12and we thought five voices together sounded epic,

0:46:12 > 0:46:13so she stuck around.

0:46:13 > 0:46:15Especially with Michael.

0:46:15 > 0:46:19Nadia and I got engaged, and since then, it's been incredibly busy,

0:46:19 > 0:46:21planning for our big day this summer.

0:46:21 > 0:46:24But also rehearsing for Pitch Battle.

0:46:24 > 0:46:27When we perform, we are quite used to some pretty epic staging

0:46:27 > 0:46:28in large spaces.

0:46:28 > 0:46:31But when we rehearse, it's just at Nadia and Michael's flat.

0:46:31 > 0:46:33# Many, many... #

0:46:33 > 0:46:36Yeah, we just get together like friends and have a sing.

0:46:38 > 0:46:41Despite there only being five of us, we make a big sound together.

0:46:43 > 0:46:45Hopefully we can give the other groups a run for their money.

0:46:45 > 0:46:47When it comes to our Showstopper,

0:46:47 > 0:46:50we're going to "rocket".

0:49:00 > 0:49:05it's our classical group Vox-Xover.

0:49:05 > 0:49:08CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:49:10 > 0:49:12MUSIC PLAYS

0:49:12 > 0:49:14# I had this perfect dream

0:49:14 > 0:49:17# Un sueno me envolvio

0:49:17 > 0:49:19# This dream was me and you

0:49:19 > 0:49:22# Tal vez estas aqui

0:49:22 > 0:49:25# I want all the world to see

0:49:33 > 0:49:41# Now my dream is slowly coming true

0:49:41 > 0:49:47# Barcelona Such a beautiful horizon

0:50:30 > 0:50:32Yes! Yes!

0:50:32 > 0:50:38# Barcelona! #

0:50:40 > 0:50:42Yeah!

0:50:44 > 0:50:48CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:50:53 > 0:50:57Now, Rosie, there were so many layers in that.

0:50:57 > 0:51:00It was... It was very much like an opera cake,

0:51:00 > 0:51:03which again, Joe, I wouldn't eat by the ocean.

0:51:03 > 0:51:07How many parts were in that? 14. 14 parts, Gareth!

0:51:07 > 0:51:0914 layering parts.

0:51:09 > 0:51:11Now, Rosie, I must ask you,

0:51:11 > 0:51:14why do you think you should stay in this competition?

0:51:14 > 0:51:16Well...

0:51:16 > 0:51:19We just literally love singing together and having fun together

0:51:19 > 0:51:21and we're basically like a family,

0:51:21 > 0:51:24because we don't love each other all the time, but for the most part,

0:51:24 > 0:51:27we just have a really great time, so we want to keep doing that.

0:51:27 > 0:51:28Oh, that's very lovely.

0:51:28 > 0:51:32Now, talking of beautiful things and relationships,

0:51:32 > 0:51:33Nadia, I believe you are engaged

0:51:33 > 0:51:35to this lovely man next to you, Michael.

0:51:35 > 0:51:37Yes, I am.

0:51:37 > 0:51:39Congratulations. APPLAUSE

0:51:39 > 0:51:42Michael, congrats. How is the wedding planning going?

0:51:42 > 0:51:45Have you sorted out the hors d'oeuvres,

0:51:45 > 0:51:47the invitations, all that kind of stuff?

0:51:47 > 0:51:49Yes, the amuse-bouches are on the way.

0:51:49 > 0:51:51HE LAUGHS There will be a big cake.

0:51:51 > 0:51:52Ooh, what sort?

0:51:52 > 0:51:54Cheese...cake.

0:51:54 > 0:51:56Cheesecake by the ocean is fine, Joe.

0:51:56 > 0:51:58It's fine. It's OK, I approve.

0:51:58 > 0:52:01Because you have a nice solid layer at the bottom,

0:52:01 > 0:52:04which kind of decrumbs the whole thing, so that works.

0:52:04 > 0:52:08LAUGHTER Did you...

0:52:08 > 0:52:10Did you propose to Nadia with song?

0:52:10 > 0:52:15I didn't, no, I crumbled under the pressure, I'm afraid. Aw!

0:52:15 > 0:52:18No, I was a whimpering mess, and thankfully,

0:52:18 > 0:52:21she worked out what I was trying to say and accepted.

0:52:21 > 0:52:22APPLAUSE Lovely!

0:52:22 > 0:52:23Kelis. Yes.

0:52:23 > 0:52:27A cappella versus opera. Only on this show.

0:52:27 > 0:52:28Seriously!

0:52:28 > 0:52:30I feel like I was dressed appropriately

0:52:30 > 0:52:33to come and watch you sing and perform somewhere.

0:52:33 > 0:52:34And I absolutely loved every second of it.

0:52:34 > 0:52:37So, well done there.

0:52:37 > 0:52:39I think for Oxford Alternotives,

0:52:39 > 0:52:42there were some really interesting choices there, so that was exciting.

0:52:42 > 0:52:45I do want to say, and commend you guys on a cappella.

0:52:45 > 0:52:48It is really hard, and there were so many moving parts.

0:52:48 > 0:52:51There were moments where I was a little bit nervous pitch-wise.

0:52:51 > 0:52:53I want to see you guys really pull together.

0:52:53 > 0:52:55Because these guys are on your tail.

0:52:55 > 0:52:57It's going to be very interesting.

0:52:57 > 0:52:59Now, Joe, what are you going to be looking for

0:52:59 > 0:53:00when they come to the Riff-Off?

0:53:00 > 0:53:04I'd say for Vox-Xover, first of all, so impressed.

0:53:04 > 0:53:06Your vocal range is insane.

0:53:06 > 0:53:09Coming out the gate, belting.

0:53:09 > 0:53:11And also, the only lady to hold

0:53:11 > 0:53:13so strongly in a group is really impressive.

0:53:13 > 0:53:17So, amazing. But I guess what I'm looking for next is how,

0:53:17 > 0:53:20coming from the operatic world, what you'll do with different styles

0:53:20 > 0:53:21of music, and how you'll balance the two.

0:53:21 > 0:53:23And what about the Oxford Alternotives?

0:53:23 > 0:53:28I think that last song, it got a little pitchy here and there,

0:53:28 > 0:53:30but finding kind of your comfort zone and settling in,

0:53:30 > 0:53:34so that way for this next song, you guys really just ease into it,

0:53:34 > 0:53:36you know, find your zone.

0:53:36 > 0:53:38Gareth, as we've said,

0:53:38 > 0:53:41stylistically, two very, very different groups.

0:53:41 > 0:53:43Two very, VERY different performances.

0:53:43 > 0:53:45If I start with you, Vox-Xover,

0:53:45 > 0:53:49if I'm honest, I struggle slightly with this kind of crossover style,

0:53:49 > 0:53:51it's a difficult one to pull off.

0:53:51 > 0:53:53But I can see great vocal potential here.

0:53:53 > 0:53:56Vocal POTENTIAL? Serious?

0:53:56 > 0:53:58Yeah, it's just not...my jam. Seriously.

0:53:58 > 0:54:00AUDIENCE: Oo-oo-oh!

0:54:00 > 0:54:02There's a little Riff-Off developing here at the judges' desk!

0:54:02 > 0:54:05Kelis, you loved it. And it's fine that she loved it.

0:54:05 > 0:54:07I'm a sceptic, I'm afraid to say.

0:54:07 > 0:54:10We can get you a cream for that, Gareth. Thank you.

0:54:10 > 0:54:11LAUGHTER

0:54:11 > 0:54:14Yeah, please.

0:54:14 > 0:54:16Oxford Alternotives.

0:54:16 > 0:54:18I'm afraid I've got your score here.

0:54:18 > 0:54:21Just being a little bit nerdy, some of your harmonies that you were

0:54:21 > 0:54:22trying to pull off, in the arrangement,

0:54:22 > 0:54:24I would say keep it simple.

0:54:24 > 0:54:26Doing these complicated chords, it's like building a house.

0:54:26 > 0:54:28You've got to have the foundations there.

0:54:28 > 0:54:30You can't just build a penthouse flat

0:54:30 > 0:54:31and have nothing underneath it.

0:54:31 > 0:54:35And I thought at times, your upper notes were just a bit exposed

0:54:35 > 0:54:38and there was no foundation to the chords.

0:54:38 > 0:54:40So I think in the Riff-Off, you've got to work hard,

0:54:40 > 0:54:43cos you are up against people who are vocally incredibly assured.

0:54:43 > 0:54:46Vocal potential! Vocal potential, that's right.

0:54:46 > 0:54:49No, I mean, come on. Great voices. I don't wish to be unfair.

0:54:49 > 0:54:51That's it from Nerds Corner.

0:54:51 > 0:54:55I doubt that! Yeah, I doubt that! I doubt that!

0:54:57 > 0:54:59I'll just go back to my score.

0:54:59 > 0:55:02One group is about to be knocked out of the competition.

0:55:02 > 0:55:06The other will face Tring Park 16 in tonight's solo battles.

0:55:06 > 0:55:09Deciding their fate is the dramatic Riff-Off.

0:55:09 > 0:55:12AUDIENCE: Ooh!

0:55:13 > 0:55:17# Sweet themes are made of this... #

0:55:17 > 0:55:19Anyway, let's reveal the theme.

0:55:27 > 0:55:29CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:55:29 > 0:55:30Lonely.

0:55:32 > 0:55:34Time to find out who's going to be lonely at the top

0:55:34 > 0:55:36and who will be going home alone.

0:55:36 > 0:55:37Good luck.

0:55:37 > 0:55:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:55:44 > 0:55:46MUSIC: Rock And Roll

0:55:46 > 0:55:49# It's been a long time since we rock and rolled

0:55:49 > 0:55:51# Oh, yeah, rock and roll

0:55:51 > 0:55:54# It's been a long time since we did The Stroll

0:55:54 > 0:55:57# Oh, yeah, we did The Stroll

0:55:57 > 0:56:00# It's been a long time Been a long time, been a long

0:56:00 > 0:56:03# Lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely Lonely time

0:56:03 > 0:56:05# It's been a long time Oh, yeah, oh, yeah

0:56:08 > 0:56:11# It's been a long time Been a long time, been a long

0:56:11 > 0:56:15# Lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely Lonely time

0:56:15 > 0:56:19# Yeah! #

0:56:19 > 0:56:21APPLAUSE

0:56:21 > 0:56:25# Only the lonely Dum, dum-dum, dum-dy, doo-wah

0:56:25 > 0:56:31# Know this feeling ain't right Dum, dum-dum, dum-dy, doo-wah

0:56:31 > 0:56:33# Maybe tomorrow Ba-ba, ba-ba

0:56:33 > 0:56:37# A new romance Ba-ba, ba-ba

0:56:37 > 0:56:40# No more sorrow Ba-ba, ba-ba

0:56:40 > 0:56:44# But that's a chance Ba-ba, ba-ba

0:56:44 > 0:56:48# You gotta take

0:56:48 > 0:56:51# Because only the lonely know the heartbreaks

0:56:51 > 0:56:52# Only the lonely

0:56:52 > 0:56:54# Lonely. #

0:56:54 > 0:56:58CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:57:01 > 0:57:05# Are you lonesome tonight?

0:57:05 > 0:57:09# Do you miss me tonight?

0:57:11 > 0:57:16# Are you sorry we drifted apart?

0:57:16 > 0:57:20# Drifted apart

0:57:20 > 0:57:22# Tell me, dear

0:57:22 > 0:57:26# Are you lonesome tonight?

0:57:26 > 0:57:28# I'm lonely. #

0:57:30 > 0:57:32I liked that. A nice surprise.

0:57:32 > 0:57:35# Well, someone told me yesterday

0:57:35 > 0:57:36# Yester-day

0:57:36 > 0:57:39# That when you throw your love away

0:57:39 > 0:57:41# Throw your love away

0:57:43 > 0:57:47# You act as if you just don't care

0:57:48 > 0:57:52# You look as if you're going somewhere

0:57:52 > 0:57:56# So lonely, so lonely

0:57:56 > 0:57:57# So lonely.

0:57:58 > 0:58:04# Time for it all! #

0:58:06 > 0:58:11# All by myself

0:58:11 > 0:58:13# Oh, oh-oh

0:58:13 > 0:58:14# I don't wanna be

0:58:14 > 0:58:19# All by myself

0:58:19 > 0:58:21# Any more!

0:58:21 > 0:58:24# More

0:58:24 > 0:58:26# Oh, no!

0:58:26 > 0:58:30# All by myself

0:58:30 > 0:58:34# Oh, oh, oh-oh, oh, oh-oh! #

0:58:38 > 0:58:40# I love him

0:58:40 > 0:58:45# But every day I'm learning

0:58:45 > 0:58:47# All my life

0:58:47 > 0:58:51# I've only been pretending

0:58:51 > 0:58:54# Pretending... Without me

0:58:54 > 0:58:58# His world will go on turning

0:58:58 > 0:59:03# A world that's full of happiness That I have never known

0:59:03 > 0:59:06# I love him

0:59:06 > 0:59:11# But only on my own

0:59:11 > 0:59:18# So lonely... My own! #

0:59:18 > 0:59:21CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:59:23 > 0:59:26This was a fascinating battle because it was an uphill climb

0:59:26 > 0:59:28for both of these groups.

0:59:28 > 0:59:31Our a cappella group had to perform with instruments

0:59:31 > 0:59:34and our opera group had to, basically, perform with a rock band

0:59:34 > 0:59:37and both groups did very, very well.

0:59:37 > 0:59:41Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, Celine Dion, Les Mis.

0:59:41 > 0:59:43The Riff-Off's like a box of chocolates.

0:59:43 > 0:59:46You never know what you're going to get.

0:59:46 > 0:59:50APPLAUSE

0:59:50 > 0:59:54Well done, everyone concerned in the Riff-Off. Little Imogen,

0:59:54 > 0:59:56I have got some... You dropped your little tissue.

0:59:56 > 1:00:01I was very emotional in the last song. Have you recovered?

1:00:01 > 1:00:03Just about. Just about, Mel, thank you. Thank you.

1:00:03 > 1:00:06How was that for you guys? It is such a wonderful experience

1:00:06 > 1:00:09to do this on the stage and to share this experience.

1:00:09 > 1:00:10We have so many unique personalities

1:00:10 > 1:00:13and everyone brings something to the group. Lovely.

1:00:13 > 1:00:15Thank you so much, guys. Great Riff-Off work.

1:00:15 > 1:00:17CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:00:17 > 1:00:18Woody.

1:00:18 > 1:00:21How was the Riff`Off for you? Bit of a challenge for us,

1:00:21 > 1:00:23given our background and things,

1:00:23 > 1:00:25but I think we pulled it out the bag.

1:00:25 > 1:00:28We have got a lot of tricks up our sleeve, a lot in the locker

1:00:28 > 1:00:31that we can, hopefully, continue to show the audience

1:00:31 > 1:00:33here and at home.

1:00:33 > 1:00:35I'm not sure I want to see inside your locker, Woody.

1:00:35 > 1:00:38I'm not sure. What sort of things have you got in your locker?

1:00:38 > 1:00:42Cake? Always good. Talk to Joe Jonas about that.

1:00:42 > 1:00:45Croquembouche by the ocean, absolutely fine, Joe.

1:00:45 > 1:00:48Absolutely fine.

1:00:48 > 1:00:50Well done, everybody. That was a cracking Riff-Off,

1:00:50 > 1:00:55I have to say. Kelis, if you could, which lonely hearts club band

1:00:55 > 1:00:56would you be joining tonight?

1:00:56 > 1:01:01I think for me, Imogen, you sound fantastic. Your tone is amazing.

1:01:01 > 1:01:04I love it. It's so easy. It came...

1:01:04 > 1:01:07and you stood and, kind of, took your stance and it came out.

1:01:07 > 1:01:09It was great. That was a wonderful moment.

1:01:09 > 1:01:12There were some great harmony moments in there, as well, that I really liked.

1:01:12 > 1:01:15And the blend was really good.

1:01:15 > 1:01:18Vox-Xover, so good to watch. So exciting.

1:01:18 > 1:01:21There were some pitch moments that I think you gentlemen had,

1:01:21 > 1:01:23but it didn't faze you, Nadia, so well done.

1:01:23 > 1:01:27It's tough. You guys delivered, so we'll see.

1:01:27 > 1:01:28Thanks, Kelis.

1:01:28 > 1:01:33Gareth, you said that you were a bit of a sceptic about Vox-Xover.

1:01:33 > 1:01:35Have they changed your opinion?

1:01:35 > 1:01:37I thought that was much more the thing, for me.

1:01:37 > 1:01:38I liked your music theatre sound.

1:01:38 > 1:01:42That was really exciting, but when you are doing the vibrato

1:01:42 > 1:01:46on those close harmony moments, you need to adapt your style.

1:01:46 > 1:01:49You have got one poor soprano there all the way up in the heights.

1:01:49 > 1:01:51No alto to fill the gap in-between

1:01:51 > 1:01:55and you guys - # Oh-oh-oh-oh! # - down the bottom.

1:01:55 > 1:01:57Very hard to tune in. It didn't sound exactly like that, though.

1:01:57 > 1:02:00When I do, # Oh-oh-oh-oh!? No. You didn't sound like that, though.

1:02:00 > 1:02:04That was a cruel exaggeration, but just watch that.

1:02:04 > 1:02:06You have got to support your soprano,

1:02:06 > 1:02:07who is out there very exposed.

1:02:07 > 1:02:10And well done. That was vocal acrobatics up there.

1:02:10 > 1:02:13Turning to the Oxford Alternotives,

1:02:13 > 1:02:15when you do a style, like Rock And Roll,

1:02:15 > 1:02:17and then you change to Elvis Presley,

1:02:17 > 1:02:18you have to adapt your sound,

1:02:18 > 1:02:22you have to adapt your vocal set-up to that completely

1:02:22 > 1:02:24and you have got to commit to that.

1:02:24 > 1:02:26I felt, at times, you just dipped your toe in the water.

1:02:26 > 1:02:29That is a great first step, but I want all-in.

1:02:29 > 1:02:31Done. I've finished. OK. Good.

1:02:31 > 1:02:33LAUGHTER

1:02:33 > 1:02:35Relax. Take it easy. Take a deep breath.

1:02:35 > 1:02:37Joe. Dear Joe.

1:02:37 > 1:02:39Who put up the best fight?

1:02:39 > 1:02:43You guys really impressed me yet again, but you coming out with

1:02:43 > 1:02:46Led Zeppelin is a daring move. Then finishing with Celine Dion,

1:02:46 > 1:02:49I was so, kind of, shocked and impressed how you guys came together

1:02:49 > 1:02:52that last minute and really showed off your talent.

1:02:52 > 1:02:56So, I have to say it's kind of up in the air for me right now.

1:02:56 > 1:02:59Only one of these groups can go through to tonight's solo battles.

1:03:04 > 1:03:06Kelis, which group would you like to put through

1:03:06 > 1:03:08to tonight's solo battles?

1:03:16 > 1:03:18Vox-Xover!

1:03:18 > 1:03:20Vox-Xover from Kelis.

1:03:23 > 1:03:25Joe, which group do you think

1:03:25 > 1:03:28deserves a place in those solo battles?

1:03:31 > 1:03:33I have to go with Vox-Xover.

1:03:33 > 1:03:35Vox-Xover.

1:03:35 > 1:03:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:03:42 > 1:03:45Gareth, out of interest, who would you have gone for?

1:03:45 > 1:03:47I was won over. I would have gone with Vox-Xover.

1:03:47 > 1:03:49Yeah, we turned him! Wow.

1:03:50 > 1:03:52Now, Alternotives, well done.

1:03:52 > 1:03:56You were absolutely excellent and all of us absolutely loved you.

1:03:56 > 1:03:59CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:04:01 > 1:04:04The groups through to the solo battles are Tring Park 16...

1:04:04 > 1:04:06You, literally, showed us every style of music,

1:04:06 > 1:04:08which was really impressive.

1:04:08 > 1:04:09We knew we had to pull it out the bag.

1:04:09 > 1:04:11..Vox-Xover...

1:04:12 > 1:04:15I was won over. I liked your music theatre sound.

1:04:15 > 1:04:16That was really exciting.

1:04:16 > 1:04:17Brilliant!

1:04:17 > 1:04:19..and The Ramparts.

1:04:20 > 1:04:22There is so much charisma and so much personality.

1:04:22 > 1:04:25And someone keeps winking at me, I swear!

1:04:25 > 1:04:33# The unreachable....star! #

1:04:33 > 1:04:36APPLAUSE

1:04:36 > 1:04:39It's time for the solo battles.

1:04:39 > 1:04:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:04:44 > 1:04:47Up first, let's find out who Tring Park 16 have chosen

1:04:47 > 1:04:50to put under the spotlight as their soloist.

1:04:51 > 1:04:54Caitlin is our soloist in our Solo Battle.

1:04:54 > 1:04:57We chose Caitlin cos she has just got the most incredible voice.

1:04:57 > 1:04:58It is so unique.

1:04:59 > 1:05:01I grew up in a really musical family.

1:05:01 > 1:05:03My mum is a concert pianist,

1:05:03 > 1:05:07my dad is a drummer and my sister is the singer-songwriter, Birdy.

1:05:08 > 1:05:10Birdy is a massive inspiration,

1:05:10 > 1:05:12as well as a sister and a best friend.

1:05:12 > 1:05:15She always tells me to just go for it, to just express myself.

1:05:17 > 1:05:19I suffer from muscle strain disorder,

1:05:19 > 1:05:22which puts a lot of tension on my throat.

1:05:22 > 1:05:24When my muscle strain gets at its worst,

1:05:24 > 1:05:26I physically can't sing.

1:05:26 > 1:05:29Sometimes, I can't even speak, it gets so bad.

1:05:29 > 1:05:31Coming here is a massive challenge for me.

1:05:31 > 1:05:34In your voice, there is just a little bit of rasp that cheats in.

1:05:34 > 1:05:38I'm terrified about my voice. I don't know how it's going to go

1:05:38 > 1:05:39when I get out there.

1:05:39 > 1:05:41I'm just going to give it my all.

1:05:44 > 1:05:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:06:01 > 1:06:05# Our song on the radio but it don't sound the same

1:06:07 > 1:06:09# When our friends talk about you

1:06:09 > 1:06:11# All it does is just tear me down... #

1:06:11 > 1:06:13Oh, God, yeah.

1:06:13 > 1:06:16# Cos my heart breaks a little

1:06:16 > 1:06:19# When I hear your name

1:06:19 > 1:06:22# Although it hurts

1:06:22 > 1:06:29# You'll be the first to say that you were wrong

1:06:29 > 1:06:32# Oh, oh-oh, oh, oh-oh, whoa

1:06:32 > 1:06:36# Oh, I know you're probably much too late

1:06:36 > 1:06:39# To try and apologise for your mistakes

1:06:39 > 1:06:43# But I just want you to know

1:06:45 > 1:06:49# I hope he buys me flowers

1:06:49 > 1:06:52# I hope he holds my hand

1:06:52 > 1:06:56# Give me all his hours

1:06:56 > 1:06:58# When he has the chance

1:07:41 > 1:07:43with the planning of a wedding.

1:07:44 > 1:07:48For our solo, we needed a voice that has drama and intensity.

1:07:48 > 1:07:50For that reason, we've chosen Nadia.

1:07:51 > 1:07:55I started singing when I was 12 years old and I trained classically

1:07:55 > 1:07:56back home in Sweden.

1:07:56 > 1:07:58Michael and I met singing together,

1:07:58 > 1:08:01as cheesy as it sounds, it was love at first sight!

1:08:01 > 1:08:05He proposed in Rome. I thought I was going off to do concerts

1:08:10 > 1:08:14Michael is absolutely everything to me. He is just my best friend.

1:08:15 > 1:08:18Every time I see Nadia perform, I am unbelievably proud

1:08:18 > 1:08:22and I know that, when she is singing the solo, that will be

1:08:22 > 1:08:24the proudest moment so far.

1:08:24 > 1:08:25With the boys and my husband behind me,

1:08:29 > 1:08:32CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:08:36 > 1:08:41# How can you see into my eyes

1:08:41 > 1:08:45# Like open doors?

1:08:51 > 1:08:54# Where I've become so numb

1:08:56 > 1:09:00# Wake me up inside

1:09:00 > 1:09:05# Call my name and save me from the dark

1:09:05 > 1:09:09# Frozen inside without your touch

1:10:21 > 1:10:23to lead them in their Solo Battle.

1:10:24 > 1:10:27For the solo battle, we have decided to give it to the youngest member

1:10:37 > 1:10:39which is great to start off the week.

1:10:39 > 1:10:42Given that I'm just 17, it's great still living at home.

1:10:44 > 1:10:47She looks after pretty much everything that I do

1:10:47 > 1:10:49and everything that goes on in my life.

1:10:49 > 1:10:52It's a bit like having a personal assistant or my own manager.

1:10:52 > 1:10:55You could get off the couch and do some work?

1:10:55 > 1:10:58I love being a part of The Ramparts, just cos it's like having

1:10:58 > 1:11:0017 older brothers.

1:11:00 > 1:11:02It means a lot that the lads have trusted me with

1:11:02 > 1:11:04this incredibly important solo.

1:11:04 > 1:11:06I know the lads are going to be standing behind

1:12:04 > 1:12:09# Take this sinking boat

1:13:08 > 1:13:11Mrs Norris, Caitlin, what a performance.

1:13:11 > 1:13:14I mean, the whole group, what a performance there.

1:13:14 > 1:13:17What did you think? I think Caitlin is really something very special

1:13:17 > 1:13:21and someone we need to keep a very close eye on in the future.

1:13:21 > 1:13:23That sounds worrying.

1:13:23 > 1:13:24LAUGHTER

1:13:24 > 1:13:26In a good way! In a good way.

1:13:26 > 1:13:28No-one messes with Mrs Norris, do they?

1:13:28 > 1:13:30No-one messes.

1:13:30 > 1:13:32Well done, Tringers, that was really, really strong.

1:13:32 > 1:13:37Now, Nadia, corsetry, a heavy rock beat -

1:13:37 > 1:13:39it was all incredibly alluring.

1:13:39 > 1:13:42Very, very strong from you. How did you feel, doing that?

1:13:42 > 1:13:45It was amazing. It was nerve-racking, but loved it

1:13:45 > 1:13:48and it is so great being up here with these guys. It's just...

1:13:48 > 1:13:51They give such energy off, it's just awesome. I loved it.

1:13:51 > 1:13:53Well done, all of you. That was tremendous.

1:13:53 > 1:13:55Now, where is Ruairi?

1:13:55 > 1:13:57You are the youngest member of the Ramparts.

1:13:57 > 1:13:59How old are you, Ruairi?

1:13:59 > 1:14:0317. 17. Did you enjoy it, Ruairi? It was brilliant.

1:14:03 > 1:14:04It was a fantastic experience. Yes.

1:14:04 > 1:14:09APPLAUSE

1:14:09 > 1:14:11So, Gareth, did anyone surprise you up there?

1:14:11 > 1:14:14Sorry, we are just arguing. Oh, dear.

1:14:14 > 1:14:18Yeah, do you know, it was great. This is a very difficult decision.

1:14:18 > 1:14:20Tring - Caitlin.

1:14:20 > 1:14:21Beautiful.

1:14:21 > 1:14:25Absolutely stunning. I was bewitched by your performance.

1:14:25 > 1:14:26It was very moving.

1:14:26 > 1:14:30You have had some vocal issues and I can hear a bit of that,

1:14:30 > 1:14:33but actually, you were careful, you didn't overblow it.

1:14:33 > 1:14:35It was a thrilling performance.

1:14:35 > 1:14:36Your voice is beautiful.

1:14:36 > 1:14:39We're like athletes and sometimes we get injured. And that's OK,

1:14:39 > 1:14:41cos you pressed on. You are doing a really good job.

1:14:41 > 1:14:44Caitlin, I think you would have made Bruno Mars very proud tonight.

1:14:44 > 1:14:47Really impressive, especially with what you're going through vocally.

1:14:47 > 1:14:50That is unbelievable. So, to get up there

1:14:50 > 1:14:53with a great group behind you, that can support you,

1:14:53 > 1:14:55and also know that you are the right pick for them,

1:14:55 > 1:14:58that shows a lot of your team, so good job, guys.

1:15:01 > 1:15:04So, Vox-Xover, that was an amazing vocal display from you,

1:15:04 > 1:15:07Nadia, quite, quite extraordinarily dramatic.

1:15:07 > 1:15:10It was enchanting, it was beautiful,

1:15:10 > 1:15:13there were times when the vibrato, sometimes you'd get lost in it,

1:15:13 > 1:15:15but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

1:15:15 > 1:15:18Pop music translating from that style where you guys come from

1:15:18 > 1:15:20can be tricky, but you do it really well.

1:15:20 > 1:15:23Well, Nadia, obviously you are a star,

1:15:23 > 1:15:25you belong centre stage.

1:15:25 > 1:15:26You were like a cake topper,

1:15:26 > 1:15:29it was like a very dark cake topper, but...

1:15:29 > 1:15:31A terrifying cake! But you were...

1:15:31 > 1:15:33I mean, you absolutely are stunning

1:15:33 > 1:15:36and there was a few moments there where I kind of felt,

1:15:36 > 1:15:38like, in the beauty of the intensity,

1:15:38 > 1:15:40I sort of lost the meaning a little bit,
