0:18:13 > 0:18:18- He thought the Germans - were a kind race...

0:18:18 > 0:18:28- ..and he almost married a woman - from Germany.

0:18:29 > 0:18:34- From that time onwards...

0:18:34 > 0:18:42- ..I didn't tell another soul - about my time in the war.

0:18:42 > 0:18:46- Your experience of the Germans - was completely different.

0:18:46 > 0:18:51- It was a difficult time in the war.

0:18:52 > 0:18:55- From day one, - I was a prisoner of war.

0:18:56 > 0:19:01- They treated us as prisoners.

0:19:34 > 0:19:44- I was a prisoner - from that time onwards...

0:19:58 > 0:20:04- There have been events in my life - that I don't want to remember.
