0:01:37 > 0:01:38I have a phobia of buttons, yes.

0:01:38 > 0:01:41- But you're all right with chocolate buttons?- Definitely!

0:01:41 > 0:01:43Yes, I thought you might be all right with that one.

0:01:43 > 0:01:45So, tell us a bit about yourself, big man.

0:01:45 > 0:01:48- Well, I'm a bit of a tart.- Oh, really.- Well, the thing is...

0:01:48 > 0:01:51Look at the barnet, everybody, you know what I mean?

0:01:51 > 0:01:54- Turn around, give us the whole look. - Do I have to?

0:01:54 > 0:01:57Yeah, go on, look. Who done that? The council?

0:01:58 > 0:01:59Unbelievable, hey.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11I'm a part-time holistic therapist.

0:02:11 > 0:02:12Oh, holistic, OK?

0:02:12 > 0:02:14- And I do hypnotherapy. - And back in the room.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19And, Natalie, competition with your big brother here?

0:02:19 > 0:02:22We've always been competitive and he always used to win because he's

0:02:22 > 0:02:25the bigger, older, stronger brother but the thing is now, I've got

0:02:25 > 0:02:29my eyes on the prize and he's just got his eyes on his biceps, flexing.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32- So, Liam, you look like you do work out.- Thanks.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35- What do you do for a living?- I've got my own personal training company.

0:02:35 > 0:02:37Get away, why am I surprised?

0:02:37 > 0:02:39Now, families, the rules are very, very simple, OK?

0:02:39 > 0:02:43Be as fast as you can over five physical and mental games.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46At the end of the night the fastest family will go on to Moneyball,

0:02:46 > 0:02:50where you could potentially win £20,000, everybody.

0:02:50 > 0:02:51APPLAUSE

0:02:52 > 0:02:57Oh, yes. So this is what you face tonight in our very first challenge.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00In tonight's first head-to-head, both players must

0:03:00 > 0:03:03stand on a four-metre tower of five flimsy shelves.

0:03:03 > 0:03:05On hearing the Reflex trigger they must launch

0:03:05 > 0:03:07themselves off, breaking through them.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10Inside each shelf are hundreds of micro balls.

0:03:10 > 0:03:14On landing, the player who locates one of only five yellow micro balls

0:03:14 > 0:03:18and places it into their target tube will score their family one point.

0:03:19 > 0:03:21And that's all there is to it.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23So get into your huddles, have a little chat

0:03:23 > 0:03:26and decide who's going to play. Good luck, families.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29- What do you reckon?- I personally think you.- Yeah.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32Of course you pick me, but I'm thinking I'm quite light.

0:03:32 > 0:03:33Mmm.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36Well, I'm the heaviest, but do either of you fancy it?

0:03:36 > 0:03:39'As always every member of each family will need to face one of the

0:03:39 > 0:03:43'first three challenges so they need to choose who plays carefully.'

0:03:43 > 0:03:46- Yeah, the thing is, I'm not great with heights, I dunno.- OK.

0:03:46 > 0:03:49- I don't mind jumping off. - One, two, three.

0:03:49 > 0:03:51- Damn it. - So do I decide?

0:03:51 > 0:03:54- What does that mean? - What does that mean?

0:03:54 > 0:03:58Right, families, if you'd like to turn round and face the front,

0:03:58 > 0:04:00our first challenge, who's it going to be?

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Please step forward.

0:04:04 > 0:04:07And it's high-flying air hostess Natalie for the Walshes.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13Against low-flying internet shopper George for the Chapmans.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16And they've both been skydiving, so this is going to be good.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20These two are about to take a free-fall plunge into oblivion.

0:04:23 > 0:04:25George is looking nervous. Well, I'm not surprised

0:04:25 > 0:04:27because that drop must look gigantic to him!

0:04:29 > 0:04:33Hang on, he's not really that small, is he? Very funny!

0:04:33 > 0:04:34Natalie is an air hostess

0:04:34 > 0:04:38so she's a professional flyer. Will that give her the edge?

0:04:38 > 0:04:41Erm, no, I can't see why that's relevant in any way.

0:04:41 > 0:04:44So, challenge number one, are you ready?

0:04:44 > 0:04:46- Yep. - Yep.

0:04:46 > 0:04:48Let's play!

0:04:48 > 0:04:50They are both going to have to muster every ounce of bravery

0:04:50 > 0:04:53when this scary music finishes

0:04:53 > 0:04:55and the Reflex trigger fires.

0:04:55 > 0:04:58The first player to grab the ball and place it in the container

0:04:58 > 0:05:00will claim tonight's first points.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04The trigger will fire at any moment, when this frightening music stops.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15BANG

0:05:15 > 0:05:17And off they go!

0:05:17 > 0:05:21George is first to make contact with that top level.

0:05:21 > 0:05:23And Natalie's just behind.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27But look at George, this guy is fearless,

0:05:27 > 0:05:30ripping through those sheets like a knife through butter.

0:05:31 > 0:05:35And look, a proper grown-up skydiver's landing.

0:05:36 > 0:05:39Natalie's enjoying the mid-flight entertainment.

0:05:39 > 0:05:41Oh, look! She's uncovered three yellow balls.

0:05:41 > 0:05:43Remember, the first person to get hold of one

0:05:43 > 0:05:45and place it in the tube will win the game.

0:05:47 > 0:05:50But this is looking good for the Chapmans.

0:05:51 > 0:05:55Chris doing the old gorilla fist-pump thing to help George along.

0:05:55 > 0:06:00Natalie's having some problems with her safety demonstration life vest.

0:06:00 > 0:06:02She yanked the toggle too early.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05And George is up on his feet and he's got four balls to choose from.

0:06:05 > 0:06:07This is good.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10No, it's not, he's dropped it. Come on, George.

0:06:10 > 0:06:12Natalie hasn't even found a ball yet.

0:06:12 > 0:06:16Maybe she's fumbling around for some in-flight headphones or something.

0:06:16 > 0:06:19Meanwhile, George has got one.

0:06:19 > 0:06:22No, he hasn't. He's dropped it again.

0:06:22 > 0:06:24Natalie's rooting around for a ball.

0:06:24 > 0:06:27There's one. Right behind you, Natalie.

0:06:28 > 0:06:31This has got to be it, surely.

0:06:31 > 0:06:34Is George about to score victory for the Chapmans?

0:06:36 > 0:06:40No, he's not. What is going on?

0:06:41 > 0:06:42But he's not giving up,

0:06:42 > 0:06:45he's attempting to use an imaginary ball.

0:06:45 > 0:06:47That's not going to win you a point, George.

0:06:47 > 0:06:49That would never fit in the tube.

0:06:49 > 0:06:53No grunty fist-pump celebrations from the Chapmans now.

0:06:53 > 0:06:55But what's this?

0:06:55 > 0:06:58Yeah, Natalie's finally spotted one.

0:06:58 > 0:07:01Oh, but so has George.

0:07:01 > 0:07:04Natalie's had a bumpy flight, but she can deliver,

0:07:04 > 0:07:05because she's a...

0:07:05 > 0:07:07# Air hostess... #

0:07:07 > 0:07:10A lesser person would have given up, but not Natalie, because she's a...

0:07:10 > 0:07:12# Air hostess... #

0:07:12 > 0:07:14Come on, you can beat George and get that ball in the tube,

0:07:14 > 0:07:16because you're a...

0:07:16 > 0:07:17# Air hostess... #

0:07:17 > 0:07:19OK, I think we get the message.

0:07:20 > 0:07:23Oh, blimey, she missed.

0:07:25 > 0:07:28And George has seized the moment.

0:07:28 > 0:07:29He's done it!

0:07:31 > 0:07:34And so has Natalie, but it's too late.

0:07:34 > 0:07:36We have a win from George!

0:07:37 > 0:07:40Wow.

0:07:40 > 0:07:41Did I win?

0:07:41 > 0:07:42Oh, yes, you did, George.

0:07:42 > 0:07:44Oh, the humility is moving.

0:07:48 > 0:07:50What started as a majestic free-fall tumble,

0:07:50 > 0:07:54soon became a bit of a free-for-all fumble.

0:07:54 > 0:07:57But George prevailed and just pipped Natalie to the post

0:07:57 > 0:08:00to bag tonight's first point for the Chapmans.

0:08:00 > 0:08:02- Did I win?- Yes, George.

0:08:02 > 0:08:04I don't think he can hear through that helmet.

0:08:04 > 0:08:06Oh, welcome back.

0:08:06 > 0:08:09Come on, Natalie, come on, George.

0:08:09 > 0:08:13Aww, Natalie. Did you pick the right player?

0:08:13 > 0:08:14I think...

0:08:14 > 0:08:16SHANE LAUGHS

0:08:16 > 0:08:18- What?- I should have gone with my mum, I think.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21- Ah, Mum should have had that. - I'd go with experience.

0:08:21 > 0:08:24George, come and give me a big hug.

0:08:24 > 0:08:26Come on, look at you. Well done, buddy.

0:08:26 > 0:08:28And you know what's more important,

0:08:28 > 0:08:30you've not moved a hair out of place.

0:08:30 > 0:08:32Well, you know, it's standard hair spray.

0:08:32 > 0:08:34But let's see how that's affected our scores.

0:08:34 > 0:08:36So, the shocking revelation after one game,

0:08:36 > 0:08:38it's 1-0 to the Chapmans.

0:08:38 > 0:08:41Well done, George.

0:08:41 > 0:08:43Who's going to play the next challenge?

0:08:43 > 0:08:45Oooh, have a look at this.

0:08:46 > 0:08:47Standing opposite each other,

0:08:47 > 0:08:50both players face a four-metre glass screen.

0:08:50 > 0:08:52On hearing the Reflex trigger,

0:08:52 > 0:08:55they must throw the contents of a standard paint tin towards that glass.

0:08:55 > 0:09:00The first drop of paint to hit the glass will win that player a point.

0:09:00 > 0:09:01Who's going to play?

0:09:01 > 0:09:03Get in your huddles, have a little chat,

0:09:03 > 0:09:06and I'll come and talk to you in a second.

0:09:07 > 0:09:08Right, what do you reckon?

0:09:08 > 0:09:10I think you.

0:09:10 > 0:09:12- Mum's just putting it off until last...- Yeah.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15- Yeah, yeah, you. Oh, yeah, yeah, and you.- And you next.

0:09:15 > 0:09:17I'm sorry now if I let you down.

0:09:17 > 0:09:20Don't think like that. At the end of the day, we're all here together.

0:09:20 > 0:09:22You've just got to get a bit of power behind it.

0:09:22 > 0:09:24Listen, with these, I get a lot of power behind it.

0:09:24 > 0:09:26Those guns, man, I mean look at these guns.

0:09:26 > 0:09:29Right, families, if you'd like to turn round and face the front.

0:09:29 > 0:09:32Who's going to step up to the mark?

0:09:32 > 0:09:33Let's find out.

0:09:33 > 0:09:37- Please step forward. - APPLAUSE

0:09:37 > 0:09:40So, it's school secretary Auntie Alison

0:09:40 > 0:09:43against fitness instructor and magic enthusiast Liam.

0:09:43 > 0:09:45Could this be the greatest mismatch

0:09:45 > 0:09:49in a paint-based, super-slow-motion televised throwing contest ever?

0:09:51 > 0:09:53Alison and Liam are about to embark

0:09:53 > 0:09:55on a cutting-edge modern art experiment.

0:09:55 > 0:09:58The first player to chuck paint all over this beautiful blank

0:09:58 > 0:10:01window canvas will win a point.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04Right then, Natalie, Julie, we've got Liam up there.

0:10:04 > 0:10:06Look at him, isn't he hunky up there with his tight shirt?

0:10:06 > 0:10:08Listen, you could have played this.

0:10:08 > 0:10:11I could have done, but Liam's muscles are slightly larger

0:10:11 > 0:10:14- than mine. I mean he's got a bit more strength.- Well, how about this?

0:10:14 > 0:10:17- You've got to play the next game. - I know.

0:10:17 > 0:10:19- Ohhh.- Ohhh. - Listen, good luck in this one.

0:10:19 > 0:10:20Right, then.

0:10:20 > 0:10:23How do you feel about Alison up against Liam?

0:10:23 > 0:10:24She's a bit of an underdog,

0:10:24 > 0:10:26- that's why we think she's going to surprise you.- Yeah?

0:10:26 > 0:10:28Hopefully, she's got the old arms in her.

0:10:28 > 0:10:30Look at the guns, the guns.

0:10:30 > 0:10:32If you get this one in the bag, it's going to be 2-0, OK?

0:10:32 > 0:10:34Right.

0:10:34 > 0:10:37Liam, Alison...

0:10:37 > 0:10:39let's play.

0:10:41 > 0:10:44Ooh, look at Alison psyching him out.

0:10:45 > 0:10:48Liam's not bothered about the Alison death-stare.

0:10:48 > 0:10:49I would be, that's scary.

0:10:50 > 0:10:53Oh, look, he appears to doing an arty performance dance routine

0:10:53 > 0:10:55as a warm up.

0:10:55 > 0:10:58Not sure that'll work, but, hey, let's run with it.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01Alison's clearly saving her energy.

0:11:01 > 0:11:04Remember, the Walshes are looking to pull a point back

0:11:04 > 0:11:06after their first defeat.

0:11:06 > 0:11:08Two families, two tins of paint,

0:11:08 > 0:11:10one window.

0:11:10 > 0:11:12This is the ultimate art-off.

0:11:15 > 0:11:17It could begin at any moment.

0:11:19 > 0:11:21BANG

0:11:21 > 0:11:22Off they go!

0:11:22 > 0:11:24Now, this is all about technique and sheer power.

0:11:24 > 0:11:27I'm a bit worried about Auntie Alison's chances here.

0:11:27 > 0:11:30Liam's fitness instructor background certainly gives him the edge.

0:11:30 > 0:11:31Look at that.

0:11:31 > 0:11:34Alison's paint is the first out of the tin.

0:11:34 > 0:11:37But can Liam's extra muscle power make his fly faster?

0:11:37 > 0:11:39This is art in the making.

0:11:39 > 0:11:42A sublime work from Alison's late baroque purple period

0:11:42 > 0:11:45juxtaposed with an emotive piece from Liam's early Renaissance

0:11:45 > 0:11:46"angry" collection.

0:11:46 > 0:11:49Never mind that nonsense - chuck it!

0:11:49 > 0:11:51Looks like Liam may have a bit more weight behind that,

0:11:51 > 0:11:53he's catching Alison up,

0:11:53 > 0:11:56but don't rule her out, remember she does have the guns.

0:11:56 > 0:11:58Both streams of paint seem to be on target

0:11:58 > 0:12:01but whose will reach their canvas first?

0:12:01 > 0:12:03Will it be Liam or Alison?

0:12:03 > 0:12:06This is down to the last split-seconds.

0:12:06 > 0:12:11Orange, racing to the glass, purple, slightly fading.

0:12:11 > 0:12:13I can't take my eyes off this.

0:12:13 > 0:12:14Here we go.

0:12:14 > 0:12:16It's a win to orange.

0:12:18 > 0:12:19And the Walshes are over the moon.

0:12:19 > 0:12:21CHEERING SLOWED DOWN

0:12:21 > 0:12:23Sounds like they're howling to the moon.

0:12:23 > 0:12:25I promised them I'd do it.

0:12:26 > 0:12:29Liam made a promise and he certainly delivered

0:12:29 > 0:12:31and a masterpiece of paint-chuckery has pulled a point

0:12:31 > 0:12:33back for the Walshes.

0:12:33 > 0:12:36Slightly different mood in the Chapman camp.

0:12:36 > 0:12:39At least, Alison's painting a picture with her face.

0:12:39 > 0:12:42The Scream by Edvard Munch, maybe?

0:12:42 > 0:12:44OK, let's not dwell on someone else's pain.

0:12:44 > 0:12:46Well done, Liam.

0:12:46 > 0:12:49Alison, don't apologise.

0:12:49 > 0:12:50Come here.

0:12:50 > 0:12:52So, I had a tenner on that.

0:12:52 > 0:12:55Did you? Oh, sorry, you wasted your money, didn't you?!

0:12:55 > 0:12:56I thought you had that one in the bag.

0:12:56 > 0:12:58- Yeah, well, never mind. - Well played.

0:12:58 > 0:13:00APPLAUSE

0:13:00 > 0:13:03Still in the game, Liam, and you did the dance at the end.

0:13:03 > 0:13:05Well done, buddy.

0:13:05 > 0:13:08Right, let's see how that's affected our scores.

0:13:08 > 0:13:10So, unsurprisingly, it's one to the Walshes

0:13:10 > 0:13:15and that brings the score to evens Stevens. Exciting.

0:13:15 > 0:13:18The scores are even now. Starts to hot up now.

0:13:18 > 0:13:22All right, let's have a look at challenge number three.

0:13:22 > 0:13:24Inside this specially-constructed blast chamber

0:13:24 > 0:13:28are five coloured plinths with everyday items on them.

0:13:28 > 0:13:31Three of them will explode in very quick succession.

0:13:31 > 0:13:33The players must remember the sequence

0:13:33 > 0:13:36and hit the corresponding coloured buttons on the podium behind them.

0:13:36 > 0:13:41First to enter the correct order will win one point for their family.

0:13:43 > 0:13:47OK, right, we know who's going to play, so, Chris and Julie,

0:13:47 > 0:13:49if you'd like to step forward.

0:13:49 > 0:13:53So, can hypnotherapist Julie use her brain-training powers to win

0:13:53 > 0:13:54a point for the Walshes?

0:13:54 > 0:13:57Mobile phone salesman Chris is 19 years her junior

0:13:57 > 0:13:59and a football player.

0:13:59 > 0:14:02It's brain versus brawn.

0:14:02 > 0:14:05So, Chris and Julie have a nervous wait because in a few moments,

0:14:05 > 0:14:08three of these items will be blown into a million pieces.

0:14:08 > 0:14:13And it's time to find out what's in our hi tech blast chamber tonight.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:14:15 > 0:14:19On the yellow podium, hundreds of flying saucer sweets.

0:14:19 > 0:14:21I like the sherbet in the middle.

0:14:21 > 0:14:23On pink, hundreds of purple paint balls.

0:14:23 > 0:14:26On red, laughing in the face of adversity,

0:14:26 > 0:14:28it's that brave bear again.

0:14:28 > 0:14:31On green, it's my grandparents' old cuckoo clock.

0:14:31 > 0:14:33Nice to hear it's still working.

0:14:33 > 0:14:35And finally on blue, it's a massive trifle.

0:14:35 > 0:14:38Hang on, that's my pudding! I was saving that!

0:14:39 > 0:14:41Julie and Chris don't know which three of these

0:14:41 > 0:14:44are about to become history.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46So, they'll need to keep their wits about them to stay focused

0:14:46 > 0:14:49when these explosions go off.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51And lightning reflexes to hit the coloured buttons

0:14:51 > 0:14:54in the correct order.

0:14:54 > 0:14:56Tense moments here.

0:14:56 > 0:14:58And I think George needs the loo.

0:14:59 > 0:15:02Right, keep your children and pets indoors,

0:15:02 > 0:15:04there's going to be some fireworks!

0:15:10 > 0:15:13BOOM! Off they go.

0:15:13 > 0:15:14That made 'em jump.

0:15:14 > 0:15:17They're racing to the buttons.

0:15:17 > 0:15:19Hang on.

0:15:19 > 0:15:20I'm lost.

0:15:20 > 0:15:23GUNSHOTS

0:15:23 > 0:15:25Oooh, we're going to need to watch this a little bit slower to

0:15:25 > 0:15:27make some sense of it all.

0:15:28 > 0:15:31Chris and Julie need to keep their eyes peeled

0:15:31 > 0:15:33if they're going to spot the right order.

0:15:34 > 0:15:37First to blow, the purple paintballs on pink.

0:15:37 > 0:15:40Whoa, look at that.

0:15:40 > 0:15:41That made them blink.

0:15:41 > 0:15:44Hope they don't miss the next one, which is...

0:15:44 > 0:15:47hundreds of unidentified flying sherbet-filled objects

0:15:47 > 0:15:48on the yellow podium.

0:15:50 > 0:15:55And finally, my pudding, which I'm extremely annoyed about, on the blue.

0:15:56 > 0:16:00So will they have spotted the sequence of explosions?

0:16:00 > 0:16:02First to blow were the paintballs on pink.

0:16:02 > 0:16:05Then the UFOs on yellow.

0:16:05 > 0:16:07And my pudding on blue.

0:16:07 > 0:16:11So the sequence is pink, yellow then blue.

0:16:11 > 0:16:14Sounds simple but Julie and Chris only had 0.8 seconds

0:16:14 > 0:16:16to watch those explosions. That's the time it takes.

0:16:16 > 0:16:18Here they go to the buttons.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21And there's Chris straight in there with the pink.

0:16:21 > 0:16:22Julie's close behind.

0:16:23 > 0:16:26Right, next is yellow.

0:16:26 > 0:16:29And look! Chris is ahead again, just blue to go.

0:16:29 > 0:16:31But Julie's closing in.

0:16:31 > 0:16:34Oh, this is going to be a photo-finish.

0:16:34 > 0:16:37Chris is heading for the blue.

0:16:37 > 0:16:38He's hit the red!

0:16:38 > 0:16:42Come on, it's the blue and Julie's heading right for it.

0:16:42 > 0:16:45It's victory for the Walshes!

0:16:45 > 0:16:47JULIE CHEERS IN SLOW MOTION

0:16:47 > 0:16:50Julie with some sort of hypnotherapist's victory cry there.

0:16:52 > 0:16:54Chris has lost it.

0:16:54 > 0:16:57Chris, you can stop, mate, Julie's won.

0:17:00 > 0:17:01Oh, dear.

0:17:01 > 0:17:03This is sad.

0:17:03 > 0:17:05There's Alison's sad face again.

0:17:05 > 0:17:09That's the look Chris gave when he saw his haircut for the first time.

0:17:12 > 0:17:14After what looked like a multicoloured food fight,

0:17:14 > 0:17:16the Walshes have taken the lead.

0:17:16 > 0:17:18And I'm still upset about my pudding.

0:17:20 > 0:17:23I'll see what I can scrape up later.

0:17:23 > 0:17:24APPLAUSE

0:17:24 > 0:17:29Aww, Chris, Chris, don't worry about it, buddy.

0:17:29 > 0:17:33Oh, you were in the zone, weren't you? Well done.

0:17:33 > 0:17:37- You were calm, you were collected. - Yes.

0:17:37 > 0:17:39How did you feel just before the game?

0:17:39 > 0:17:41- I started to feel nervous... - OK.

0:17:41 > 0:17:44..but then I used my trusty hypnotherapy techniques.

0:17:44 > 0:17:46What is that, what is this technique, then?

0:17:46 > 0:17:49Breathing, because I knew if I panicked that I would get it wrong,

0:17:49 > 0:17:53so I just tried to concentrate on my breathing and focused...

0:17:53 > 0:17:55'Is she hypnotising Shane?

0:17:55 > 0:17:57'I'm sure that's against the rules.'

0:17:57 > 0:18:00'Shane? Come back.'

0:18:02 > 0:18:05- And that's what helped me, I think. - 'Oh, good, he's OK.'

0:18:05 > 0:18:08OK, let's check out our scores.

0:18:08 > 0:18:10So, it's 2-1 to the Walshes.

0:18:10 > 0:18:13Oh, fantastic news, I've just been bought a new pudding.

0:18:13 > 0:18:14What are those orange things on the top?

0:18:14 > 0:18:17Oh, apparently, they're called kumquats.

0:18:17 > 0:18:19Now, it's time to pair up.

0:18:19 > 0:18:20Not only two players

0:18:20 > 0:18:23but we double up the points, this next challenge is worth two points.

0:18:23 > 0:18:26Let's check out challenge number four.

0:18:26 > 0:18:27Both pairs of players

0:18:27 > 0:18:30will stand at the bottom of the Reflex avalanche slope.

0:18:30 > 0:18:32At any given moment,

0:18:32 > 0:18:34thousands of different coloured balls will be released.

0:18:34 > 0:18:37Each player must catch five of their team's coloured balls

0:18:37 > 0:18:39and place them in the holding container.

0:18:39 > 0:18:44The first pair to collect ten balls will win two points for their family.

0:18:44 > 0:18:46So, who's going to get left behind?

0:18:46 > 0:18:48Who's going to pair up?

0:18:48 > 0:18:50Get in to your huddles, have a little chat

0:18:50 > 0:18:51and then we'll find out.

0:18:51 > 0:18:55What you think? Who's confident in this one?

0:18:55 > 0:18:59I personally think that me and Chris maybe should do it.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02Yeah, I'm happy to go with you two, I think you'll work well as a team.

0:19:02 > 0:19:05- How you doing, guys? - Yep, we made a decision.- Already?

0:19:05 > 0:19:07- Yep.- We got a decision already, yeah.- That was quick, wasn't it?!

0:19:07 > 0:19:10Put the hairstyles together, I think.

0:19:10 > 0:19:12Do you remember the games we used to play when we were kids

0:19:12 > 0:19:15in the garden, and we imagined we were going against another team?

0:19:15 > 0:19:18- Yeah, yeah. - Do you remember?

0:19:18 > 0:19:20And back in the room.

0:19:20 > 0:19:21So, what you guys thinking?

0:19:21 > 0:19:25Well, Nat wants to redeem herself and I think, erm,

0:19:25 > 0:19:27brother-sisterly love will do it.

0:19:27 > 0:19:30- Any rivalry you've got to put to one side on this.- That's it.

0:19:30 > 0:19:32- Just for this one, yeah? - Just for this one.

0:19:32 > 0:19:34- That all right?- Yeah, definitely. - Yeah, cool.

0:19:34 > 0:19:36OK, families, if you'd like to turn round and face the front.

0:19:36 > 0:19:40Here we go, we've had a little chin wag about who's going to get left behind.

0:19:40 > 0:19:42OK, let's find out.

0:19:42 > 0:19:44Please step forward.

0:19:44 > 0:19:47APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:19:47 > 0:19:50All to play for, two points up for grabs.

0:19:50 > 0:19:51Let's go play.

0:19:53 > 0:19:56Well, Mum and Auntie have been left out of this duel.

0:19:56 > 0:19:58It's little George with his cousin Chris

0:19:58 > 0:20:00against Liam and his sister Natalie.

0:20:03 > 0:20:06When that avalanche of multicoloured ping pong balls

0:20:06 > 0:20:09cascades down the slopes, each player will have to grab five of the

0:20:09 > 0:20:13correct colour and place them in the holding trays in front of them.

0:20:13 > 0:20:16So, both families have favoured youth over experience.

0:20:18 > 0:20:21Right, remember we are playing for two points,

0:20:21 > 0:20:24that'll get you closer to the Moneyball game

0:20:24 > 0:20:29for the potential win of £20,000.

0:20:29 > 0:20:31Are you ready, families?

0:20:31 > 0:20:32- Yep.- Yep.

0:20:32 > 0:20:34Let's play!

0:20:41 > 0:20:43And here they come.

0:20:43 > 0:20:45Whoa, it's raining balls.

0:20:45 > 0:20:47And somehow, out of this chaos,

0:20:47 > 0:20:49they have got to catch the correctly coloured balls.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52And George is straight in there with his first purple.

0:20:52 > 0:20:55He just needs to put it in that holding tray, and there it goes.

0:20:55 > 0:20:57George has got the first ball for the Chapmans.

0:20:57 > 0:20:59They need nine more between them.

0:20:59 > 0:21:03But there goes Natalie with their first orange.

0:21:03 > 0:21:04Straight in there!

0:21:04 > 0:21:06This is looking so serene.

0:21:06 > 0:21:07That isn't.

0:21:07 > 0:21:11Just goes to show how mind-boggling this game is to play at full speed.

0:21:11 > 0:21:15In all that chaos, the Walshes have scored another two.

0:21:15 > 0:21:18But here comes George with another purple.

0:21:20 > 0:21:22But there's Natalie and Liam storming ahead.

0:21:22 > 0:21:24Looks like this brother-and-sister team

0:21:24 > 0:21:27are working together in perfect sibling harmony.

0:21:27 > 0:21:29They now have six, just four more to go.

0:21:32 > 0:21:34Meanwhile, Chris has finally got one in.

0:21:34 > 0:21:36Oh, but what's that?

0:21:36 > 0:21:39He's put a wrong-coloured pink ball in the tray.

0:21:39 > 0:21:41He'll have to lose that as it doesn't count.

0:21:41 > 0:21:43Come on, guys, come on!

0:21:43 > 0:21:48But with them moving so fast, it must be pretty easy to get ball-blindness.

0:21:50 > 0:21:51But there goes George.

0:21:51 > 0:21:56It's 6-4, but Chris still hasn't seen that pink one. Come on, Chris!

0:21:56 > 0:21:59Oh, no, he's caught another illegal pink!

0:21:59 > 0:22:01Synchronised catching from the siblings there.

0:22:01 > 0:22:04They're really rather good at this, aren't they?

0:22:06 > 0:22:08The Walshes on seven.

0:22:08 > 0:22:10They just need three more to win the game.

0:22:11 > 0:22:13But here come the Chapmans.

0:22:13 > 0:22:16Chris has actually spotted those pink ones and replaced them

0:22:16 > 0:22:19with a purple and there's George. Just two behind now.

0:22:19 > 0:22:22This is feeling better. Come on, the Chapmans!

0:22:24 > 0:22:27But there's Liam with number nine!

0:22:27 > 0:22:32Oh, no, Chris has bagged another illegal pink, what's going on?

0:22:32 > 0:22:34Can the Chapmans come back at the 11th hour?

0:22:34 > 0:22:37No, they can't. There's Natalie.

0:22:37 > 0:22:39The Walshes have won again!

0:22:40 > 0:22:43I haven't seen scenes of jubilation like that since they won...

0:22:43 > 0:22:45er, the last game.

0:22:47 > 0:22:49Understated, isn't she?

0:22:50 > 0:22:54And the Chapmans showing us their now-familiar dejected faces.

0:22:55 > 0:22:57Hey, well done.

0:22:57 > 0:23:00- Come on!- Yes, yes.

0:23:00 > 0:23:02You send them out to do a job and...

0:23:02 > 0:23:03Oh, useless, boys, useless.

0:23:03 > 0:23:06Your gaming, I thought you were going to be quick with your hands?

0:23:06 > 0:23:07I was, I got mine in pretty good...

0:23:07 > 0:23:09- Oh, you blaming him now, are you? - Yeah.

0:23:09 > 0:23:13Well, listen, give a big round of applause to the Chapmans.

0:23:13 > 0:23:15APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:23:15 > 0:23:17Give it there, buddy.

0:23:17 > 0:23:19Just to let you know, you filled your tray first.

0:23:19 > 0:23:21- I did?- Yes, you did. - Yeah, there we go.- Yes.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24Well, I think I did fill mine first but then one jumped out.

0:23:24 > 0:23:25Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

0:23:25 > 0:23:28Well, let's see how that's affected our scores!

0:23:28 > 0:23:31The Walshes are on a serious roll here.

0:23:31 > 0:23:35It's 4-1, but it's not too late for the Chapmans.

0:23:35 > 0:23:38So, we've reached a climax in tonight's battle of the families,

0:23:38 > 0:23:42but there is still everything to play for as the families

0:23:42 > 0:23:45face each other in the ultimate reaction showdown.

0:23:46 > 0:23:48Please welcome the families.

0:23:48 > 0:23:49APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:23:49 > 0:23:51Come on.

0:23:53 > 0:23:56OK, now, we've all done the individual challenges,

0:23:56 > 0:23:57we've doubled up,

0:23:57 > 0:24:01and now, you're going to be playing as a family, OK?

0:24:01 > 0:24:06We've crashed, we've blown up stuff, now, this is the mental challenge.

0:24:06 > 0:24:07In front of you is a screen.

0:24:07 > 0:24:09You're going to see a series of questions,

0:24:09 > 0:24:12you're going to answer those questions as quickly as you can.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15This really is about quick reaction, this is reflex.

0:24:15 > 0:24:18The first one to ten in this game

0:24:18 > 0:24:20will go through to our endgame, which is the Moneyball,

0:24:20 > 0:24:24where you could potentially win £20,000.

0:24:24 > 0:24:27APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:24:27 > 0:24:29So the families will be asked a question

0:24:29 > 0:24:31and presented with a series of answers.

0:24:31 > 0:24:34The instant they see the correct one, they must race to the button.

0:24:34 > 0:24:35The player with the quickest reactions

0:24:35 > 0:24:37will score a point for their family.

0:24:37 > 0:24:39But if they react to an incorrect answer,

0:24:39 > 0:24:41they'll hand a point over to the opposition.

0:24:41 > 0:24:43First family to ten points

0:24:43 > 0:24:45books themselves a place in tonight's final.

0:24:45 > 0:24:48I'm going to ask you the first question.

0:24:48 > 0:24:50Push your button when the wrong number appears

0:24:50 > 0:24:52in the numerical sequence.

0:24:52 > 0:24:54Good luck, families. Let's play!

0:24:57 > 0:25:00So they are looking for the incorrect number in the sequence.

0:25:00 > 0:25:03It sounds easy but it's all about getting to that button first.

0:25:12 > 0:25:14Oh, no!

0:25:14 > 0:25:17Alison went too early, she's given the first point to the Walshes.

0:25:17 > 0:25:19It's five to the Walshes and one to the Chapmans.

0:25:19 > 0:25:22It's OK, it's OK. It's still early in the day, all right?

0:25:22 > 0:25:25Remember, you're looking for the number out of sequence.

0:25:25 > 0:25:26Let's play on.

0:25:26 > 0:25:30Still looking for that incorrect number.

0:25:30 > 0:25:31Oh, George has seen it.

0:25:31 > 0:25:33But so has Natalie.

0:25:33 > 0:25:36Oh, first off the mark there was George!

0:25:36 > 0:25:37Gets the point back!

0:25:37 > 0:25:39APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:25:41 > 0:25:43Youngest player with the quickest reaction.

0:34:32 > 0:34:34that will count as a point, OK?

0:34:34 > 0:34:36Now, should you fall off the podium,

0:40:14 > 0:40:17Oh, that's heading right for him.

0:40:17 > 0:40:20What? How did he avoid that?

0:40:21 > 0:40:24Not many to go now, almost at the finale.

0:40:26 > 0:40:28And here's two.

0:40:31 > 0:40:34Now, that just defies belief.

0:40:34 > 0:40:38Maybe he was rubbish at the start to trick us. He had me fooled!

0:42:08 > 0:42:11Standing in the crosshairs one last time,

0:42:11 > 0:42:15George will face one golden ball, but this time it's different -

0:42:15 > 0:42:17he'll have to take a leap of faith to make contact.

0:42:17 > 0:42:20In doing so, he could double his winnings,

0:42:20 > 0:42:25but if he misses the golden ball, the Chapmans will leave with nothing.
