:00:00. > :00:12.In last week's quarter final, the competition really heated up. You

:00:13. > :00:17.teased me. That was perfection. That was just brilliant. The return of

:00:18. > :00:21.the swing-a-thon saw Natalie and Artem blow away the competition. It

:00:22. > :00:25.was precision timing. Spot on. Despite being on top of the

:00:26. > :00:32.leaderboard, Patrick found himself in the dreaded dance-off. In the

:00:33. > :00:36.end, we waved goodbye to Ashley. Hello celebrities, your mission,

:00:37. > :00:40.should you choose to accept it, is to get to the final. This message

:00:41. > :00:53.will self-destruct. What on earth are you doing? Let's

:00:54. > :02:09.get back to training. Live from the Strictly ballroom,

:02:10. > :02:17.this is the Strictly Come Dancing semifinal. Please welcome your hosts

:02:18. > :02:41.Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly. I love that. Thank you Brucie. You

:02:42. > :02:47.scrub up well yourself. It's like being in prison or something.

:02:48. > :02:49.When do I get out? Good evening ladies and gentleman and children,

:02:50. > :02:55.welcome to Strictly Come Dancing the semifinal! Yes!

:02:56. > :03:03.APPLAUSE It's nice to see you, to see you...

:03:04. > :03:07.Nice! Yes, it's nice to see you, Brucie. This is the semifinal and

:03:08. > :03:12.our five semifinalists are raring to go back stage. They certainly are.

:03:13. > :03:18.Four celebrity ladies but just one celebrity man, Patrick Robinson. Any

:03:19. > :03:23.way, I said to Patrick, "You are the last man standing. The hopes of

:03:24. > :03:29.millions of British men rest on your shoulders. Only you can restore the

:03:30. > :03:38.male pride of this nation! Now put on your make up, put on your

:03:39. > :03:53.sequinned shirt and shimmy!" LAUGHTER

:03:54. > :03:59.Nice! This is it ladies and gentleman, after 11 weeks of

:04:00. > :04:03.ballroom battles, we have reached the Strictly semifinals. Tonight

:04:04. > :04:10.they must dance twice, hoping to win ape place in the Grand Final. It's

:04:11. > :04:15.all to play for as our couples dance for our judges' scores and for your

:04:16. > :04:24.votes. Shall we start the semifinal? I think we should, I'll put my teeth

:04:25. > :04:28.in. Don't worry about that, I can't see anything against it at all.

:04:29. > :04:34.After all, it's time to meet the stars of our show.

:04:35. > :04:38.Pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her partner Brendan Cole. BBC Breakfast

:04:39. > :04:43.presenter Susanna Reid and her partner Kevin Clifton. Coronation

:04:44. > :04:48.Street Star Natalie Gumede and her partner Artem Chigvintsev. Model and

:04:49. > :04:52.TV presenter Abbey Clancy and her partner Aljaz Skornajec. And

:04:53. > :05:05.Casualty star Patrick Robinson and his partner Anya Garnis.

:05:06. > :05:15.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE There they all are. You've been so

:05:16. > :05:22.wonderful this series, you really have. There they all are. We know

:05:23. > :05:26.you're doing two dances tonight and after 11 weeks, you must be

:05:27. > :05:31.exhausted. I've spoken to the producer and I managed to arrange

:05:32. > :05:39.some time off for you. That's nice. That's it, time's up. You deserved

:05:40. > :05:43.it. Didn't they deserve it? Only four of these couples can make it to

:05:44. > :05:47.the final, so you can guarantee they'll pull out all the stops to

:05:48. > :05:51.make sure they'll be there next week. I think it's time to dance. It

:05:52. > :05:58.is indeed. Our first couple tonight is Natalie and her partner Artem.

:05:59. > :06:03.Let's hear it. APPLAUSE

:06:04. > :06:11.Their first dance is a salsa, but their second dance, later tonight,

:06:12. > :06:16.will be an Argentine tango. They'll be dancing on a giant chess board.

:06:17. > :06:21.They're going to have massive chess pieces all over the floor. Natalie

:06:22. > :06:25.wanted to know what large chees pieces they could be. I said it

:06:26. > :06:32.could be a big bishop, it could be a big castle or it could be a big

:06:33. > :06:38.knight - if you play your cards right!

:06:39. > :06:43.Good luck to you for this very special night. Here they are in

:06:44. > :06:53.training. Before my dance, I never have any

:06:54. > :06:58.predictions. Anything can happen. On Saturday night, it did. You teased

:06:59. > :07:03.me, it was too much faffing about. You're in deer diafter that dance.

:07:04. > :07:08.-- you're in jeopardy after that dance. I was knocked off my feet

:07:09. > :07:14.with Len's comments. When Len, being the head judge, says those things,

:07:15. > :07:19.you feel like a naughty schoolgirl. The swing-a-thon is an endurance

:07:20. > :07:23.test. It felt amazing to be the last couple standing. You can't be

:07:24. > :07:28.complacent at this stage. We all want to make it through. We're so

:07:29. > :07:38.close now. I don't want to go home tonight. ( Two dance that's week. My

:07:39. > :07:44.mind has just gone. My first dance this week is salsa. If we can make

:07:45. > :07:49.people at home party with us, I think it could be good. I'll bring

:07:50. > :07:54.the party, you bring the steps. Artem surprised me and brought in

:07:55. > :08:00.some messages of support from the public. We really want you to win.

:08:01. > :08:06.Good luck with the competition, Natalie. Good luck. Team Natalie!

:08:07. > :08:12.There were gorgeous messages. All the best for the weekend. I know you

:08:13. > :08:18.can do it. Hi, I'm four years old, good luck Natalie. Oh, my word. He's

:08:19. > :08:22.adorable. This week we're dancing not only to get into the final, but

:08:23. > :08:28.this salsa is a big thank you to everyone who's supported us.

:08:29. > :08:39.Dancing the Salsa, Natalie and Gumede and Artem Chigvintsev.

:08:40. > :10:33.Wonderful. How many turns at the end? A few. I few? I lost count. I

:10:34. > :10:46.think that dress has put the price of Turkies up. Who says that? I'm

:10:47. > :10:52.basted. I thought you said wasted. Let's welcome our judges. Len's

:10:53. > :11:00.grumpiness upset a few people last week. Some of the dancers... BOO

:11:01. > :11:04.Some of the dancers were upset because Len was rude to them. And

:11:05. > :11:11.Craig was absolutely furious, because that's his job.

:11:12. > :11:17.APPLAUSE Len, you're not going to be grumpy

:11:18. > :11:23.tonight. I wasn't grumpy. I was in a good mood. I was trying to be

:11:24. > :11:27.honest. What did you think of that? For me, this is the tightest

:11:28. > :11:32.semifinal we've ever had. Any one of our five remaining ones could win it

:11:33. > :11:36.and any one could go home tomorrow night. For me, and this is not just

:11:37. > :11:40.for you, all of our couples, every move you make, every step you take,

:11:41. > :11:47.every rule you break, I'll be watching you! And I was watching you

:11:48. > :11:51.and I know you've got another dance to come, if you can dance that to

:11:52. > :12:01.this standard, 100%, you're in the final. We're not afraid of Len.

:12:02. > :12:09.Lovely. I couldn't agree more. Nothing has been tighter. Bruno?

:12:10. > :12:16.Look at you. All luscious and sergeuous. -- sentuous. What was

:12:17. > :12:21.good, most people overwhush the salsa and you let it come out. You

:12:22. > :12:26.just had the, that wonderful sense of tease and flirtacious fun, all

:12:27. > :12:33.the ingredients for a fantastic salsa you had. Wonderful.

:12:34. > :12:40.Yes, and what about Craig? Well, I'm a bit upset actually because I

:12:41. > :12:44.couldn't find much wrong with it, to be honest with you.

:12:45. > :12:49.Never mind! That's the most animated I think I've ever seen you. It was

:12:50. > :13:00.just wonderful to watch. It was brilliant. A wonderful routine.

:13:01. > :13:04.Darcey, do you agree? I do. It was, the dance content was amazing.

:13:05. > :13:10.Artem, what you put in there, everything in that suitcase, my

:13:11. > :13:14.goodness. Those underarm turns was beautifully done. Fantastic end,

:13:15. > :13:19.that lunge, bang, right at the end. So many, so clean, so precise. You

:13:20. > :13:27.can be too careful, which is weird. But maybe a bit more frivolous, but

:13:28. > :13:32.fabulous performance. Wonderful again. Off you go. Good luck

:13:33. > :13:46.tonight. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:13:47. > :13:56.Now that is the way to kick off a semifinal. Ecstatic praise from the

:13:57. > :13:59.judges. Though Craig was cross because he couldn't find anything

:14:00. > :14:03.wrong with it. How does it feel to have made it this far? Just amazing.

:14:04. > :14:07.It just feels like every week you come out and dance as if it's your

:14:08. > :14:11.last, and tonight it feels like that. It feels so special. Let's

:14:12. > :14:15.hope it's not your last. You have another dance coming up. What's in

:14:16. > :14:20.store? Argentine tango, leg flicking. I have high hopes for

:14:21. > :14:46.that. I have high hopes for the scores, they're in:

:14:47. > :15:00.What a way to start the show. It doesn't get better than that. Your

:15:01. > :15:07.first perfect score of the series. She's shaking. That's my first 40,

:15:08. > :15:10.in my whole history. Thank you. He said "thank you". It couldn't have

:15:11. > :15:15.started better. The first dance of the semifinal has the party started.

:15:16. > :15:19.You don't want to be starting voting until after all our couples have

:15:20. > :15:32.danced twice tonight. For these two call: You can vote for free online.

:15:33. > :15:40.Get permission from whoever pays the bill. Don't call new or your vote

:15:41. > :15:46.won't count as you may be charged. Let's meet our next contender.

:15:47. > :15:56.Now then four 10s and no standing ovation. Can't you get up? Can't you

:15:57. > :16:07.move yourselves? I'd love you lot in Cabaret. For our next couple,

:16:08. > :16:14.Patrick and his partner Anya. Now then, Patrick and Anya did a very

:16:15. > :16:20.raunchy rumba last week. I was very annoyed. If I'd have known last

:16:21. > :16:26.Saturday he was going to be that raunchy, I wouldn't have had the

:16:27. > :16:31.night off. But I did get -- but it got me in a romantic mood. I

:16:32. > :16:36.couldn't help it. So I cooked my wife a little late supper, very

:16:37. > :16:45.intimate. I used all my cordon bleu skills to make her a dish with a

:16:46. > :16:50.French sounding name, Pot Noudelle. APPLAUSE

:16:51. > :16:56.Nearly worked. Here they are in training.

:16:57. > :17:01.The rumba I was pretty apprehensive about because I couldn't get the

:17:02. > :17:05.steps initially and I couldn't get anything from the music. There is a

:17:06. > :17:09.moment that I thought, this is really lovely. I love doing this.

:17:10. > :17:13.You really gave us something I haven't seen before. Darcey said

:17:14. > :17:17.that she saw a different side of you and that's what I was going for. To

:17:18. > :17:22.be top of the leaderboard in the quarter finals is great. It holds a

:17:23. > :17:28.little kudos for a few seconds. I've been in the dance-off. It doesn't

:17:29. > :17:33.get any seizier. Who are you going to save? Patrick and Anya It's

:17:34. > :17:36.fantastic to be saved by the judges. To find ourselves in the semifinal,

:17:37. > :17:43.we have to put everything on the line. To be the oldest male celeb in

:17:44. > :17:49.the final ever, it would be just amazing. I go under. My first dance

:17:50. > :17:52.this week is the waltz. Last time we did a ballroom dance, the judges

:17:53. > :17:55.commented on the frame and the position of your head. Because it's

:17:56. > :18:00.such an important week, everything needs to be perfect. In the training

:18:01. > :18:05.room today, we were played these amazing messages of support. Hi

:18:06. > :18:09.Patrick, I'm out shopping and I think you're brilliant. Don't break

:18:10. > :18:18.a leg and end up in casualty. All the best. Good luck. Go on Patrick!

:18:19. > :18:23.We love you. Go Patrick, see you in the final. You can do it Patrick,

:18:24. > :18:28.all the way to the final, come on, son, you're a smooth legend. I want

:18:29. > :18:31.to do the best dance that I can do for you guys on Saturday. So

:18:32. > :18:36.hopefully the waltz will go smooth as silk.

:18:37. > :18:43.Dancing the Waltz, Patrick Robinson and Anya Garnis.

:18:44. > :20:45.Oh, your mic. What a beautiful routine. That had more rise and fall

:20:46. > :20:50.than a Yorkshire pudding. Now then, whilst you two get your breath back,

:20:51. > :20:53.it's a good time to welcome our fabulous singers, Dave Arch and his

:20:54. > :21:02.wonderful orchestra. APPLAUSE

:21:03. > :21:10.Great. They really are so good. Bruno, start us off. Patrick, look

:21:11. > :21:14.at you, how smart. The poise, the sense of distinction you brought to

:21:15. > :21:19.the stage, you really placed it so well. I could really see you took so

:21:20. > :21:23.much care in getting it right. Overall, you kind of did it. There

:21:24. > :21:27.were a couple of issues on the foot work. I think it's because, I know

:21:28. > :21:32.it's difficult, it's the semifinal, you get a little bit tense - don't!

:21:33. > :21:38.Don't do that. You have to come out here and go for it. Overall it was

:21:39. > :21:45.very good. Don't tighten up because then tiny mistakes tend to creep in.

:21:46. > :21:52.Overall, it was very nice. I've done the microphone. Thank you.

:21:53. > :21:57.Craig? I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, really, really gorgeous.

:21:58. > :22:03.It could have done with a little more swing and sway, a bit of a

:22:04. > :22:10.stronger heel lead on the down beat, but the flow around the floor was

:22:11. > :22:15.magnificent. A lovely move to it. It went so much with the music. Right,

:22:16. > :22:19.Darcey? The improvement in your frame was so improved. I mean, I

:22:20. > :22:23.haven't seen you better in hold before. That was such an

:22:24. > :22:28.improvement. There is a slight impingement on your right shoulder,

:22:29. > :22:42.only occasionally though, just a little. But a charming waltz.

:22:43. > :22:46.Lovely. Len? As the song says "lonely rivers flow to the sea", and

:22:47. > :22:51.that had the most lovely flow and movement to it. I thought that part

:22:52. > :22:55.of it was beautiful. As Darcey said, your upper body and frame was very

:22:56. > :23:00.good. What is the strangest thing with this dancing that must drive

:23:01. > :23:03.people mad, last week and your rumba I complained because you were

:23:04. > :23:06.stepping forward on your heels, now I'm saying to you, you didn't step

:23:07. > :23:10.forward enough on your heels. But that's one of the things. But

:23:11. > :23:16.listen, the dance, the look of it, the way you came down the stairs

:23:17. > :23:25.with that, absolutely lovely. Thank you.

:23:26. > :23:33.Away you go! APPLAUSE

:23:34. > :23:40.You smooth legend. You're a Latin guy through and through but I love

:23:41. > :23:47.you in the ballroom. Thank you. I loved that. Craig used the words

:23:48. > :23:50."Georgeous and magnificent", high praise indeed. Absolutely, thank you

:23:51. > :23:53.Craig. Last week in the dance-off, did you ever think you'd make it

:23:54. > :23:57.here tonight? I've been trying not to think of next week, the following

:23:58. > :24:01.week, just enjoy every dance as it comes. Again, this is what I'm

:24:02. > :24:06.doing. I had a great waltz. How about the pressure of learning two

:24:07. > :24:11.dances in a week? Tough? It's fine, with work and the rest of it, no

:24:12. > :24:16.problem (! ) You are our last man standing. How do you fancy making

:24:17. > :24:20.Strictly history and being the eldest male star we've ever had in

:24:21. > :24:25.the final? APPLAUSE

:24:26. > :24:49.Thank you. I'm doing it for the over 50s. Come on! Scores are in:

:24:50. > :24:55.All the nines. Get in says Patrick. If you want to see Patrick and Anya

:24:56. > :25:03.make history in next week's final, the number to call is:

:25:04. > :25:11.you can vote online as well. Don't vote until all our couples have

:25:12. > :25:15.danced twice tonight. Still to come: Susanna and Kevin are coming back

:25:16. > :25:19.fighting, with a fabulous foxtrot and can Abbey and Aljaz's samba get

:25:20. > :25:23.them on the guest list to the final. We find out soon.

:25:24. > :25:28.Next up is Sophie and her partner Brendan.

:25:29. > :25:33.APPLAUSE Another popular couple. Everybody is

:25:34. > :25:38.so good tonight. They're dancing to a piece of music

:25:39. > :25:42.from the Romeo and Juliet ballet. I was chatting to Darcey about the

:25:43. > :25:50.ballet earlier and I told her I once met that wonderful Russian dancer --

:25:51. > :25:56.dancer, Randolph Nureyev. She's saying it's Rudolph, but it's near

:25:57. > :26:05.number. -- enough. That's what I meant, Rudolph near enough.

:26:06. > :26:12.APPLAUSE Here they are in training.

:26:13. > :26:16.Before the quarter final, I must confess, I felt very nervous. It was

:26:17. > :26:19.very important to me that the judges appreciate the performance aspect

:26:20. > :26:24.because it was a fun routine and it had a cheekiness to it. I absolutely

:26:25. > :26:29.loved that routine. I am genuinely excited to be in the semifinals.

:26:30. > :26:33.We're nearly at the end of the series, which is very sad. It's been

:26:34. > :26:37.so brilliant. It's a once in a lifetime thing. I thought I might as

:26:38. > :26:44.well just go for it. I have nothing to lose. My first dance this week in

:26:45. > :26:50.the semifinal is the paso doble. I have got a few bruises on my knees,

:26:51. > :26:54.elbows, but it will all be worth it. This week we've had two dances to

:26:55. > :26:59.learn, which is quite daunting. Buff we had a lovely time. We went to

:27:00. > :27:02.Downing Street for the children's Christmas party. There's amazing

:27:03. > :27:07.charities being supported by what's happening in there today. It's a

:27:08. > :27:11.special day so very nice to be here. Fantastic, I feel I know you all

:27:12. > :27:17.because I was watching last night. We met some lovely children. I had a

:27:18. > :27:21.cuddle with a six weekend baby called -- week old baby called

:27:22. > :27:25.Sophie. The support from the public is phenomenal. It's an incredible

:27:26. > :27:28.feeling to know that people are enjoying what we're doing and

:27:29. > :27:34.willing us on. I'm very aware that I would not be here without those

:27:35. > :27:38.people. You're doing so well. Get to that final. Good luck to Sophie and

:27:39. > :27:41.Brendan, you're amazing. Keep dancing! I'm grateful to everybody

:27:42. > :27:44.that's supporting us and I wouldn't be here without them. I won't waste

:27:45. > :27:48.the opportunity they've given me now.

:27:49. > :28:03.Dancing the Paso Doble, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Brendan Cole.

:28:04. > :29:58.What have you done? They're on their feet.

:29:59. > :30:05.Incredible. You must so proud. Well done.

:30:06. > :30:13.I don't think they're going, but I never thought I'd see anyone dance

:30:14. > :30:21.to Alan Sugar's signature tune. It was so dramatic, so beautiful.

:30:22. > :30:30.Craig? For me, it was a little bit starchy and stiff. BOO. It just

:30:31. > :30:35.lacked a little bit of Spanish line, for me. The shoulders were a little

:30:36. > :30:47.bit raised, particularly towards the end. But the attitude you brought to

:30:48. > :30:53.that dance was something else. A great routine. Darcey? That music is

:30:54. > :30:59.so close to my heart and to be able to equal that passion and drama is

:31:00. > :31:05.so difficult, but for me, you came power that I haven't seen you give

:31:06. > :31:09.to a dance before. I really wasn't expecting that. It's true, in the

:31:10. > :31:14.arms, they could have had more strength and curve to them. That

:31:15. > :31:21.shaping was missing, but overall, I love that choreography. I wanted to

:31:22. > :31:28.be on there with you. Fabulous. Did you surprise yourself? Yeah, I

:31:29. > :31:32.think I pulled dancer face. The music had drama and I must say, you

:31:33. > :31:37.interpreted that drama through your body. I've got to be honest, I was

:31:38. > :31:41.concerned about this. Because I've been saying you're a little bit

:31:42. > :31:45.Brittle, a bit weak, but you've come out toned, full on, loads of attack.

:31:46. > :31:50.After this, you've got the second half coming on, American smooth,

:31:51. > :32:01.come out and just wow us like you've just done.

:32:02. > :32:04.Bruno? The content, the passion and the intent in delivering it was

:32:05. > :32:09.incredible. You've done what we've always asked of you - come out here

:32:10. > :32:12.and kill it. You did it. That means so much to me. Another

:32:13. > :32:17.thing, that piece of music has to be one of the most difficult to keep up

:32:18. > :32:23.to it, because the timing an the accent are absolutely never regular.

:32:24. > :32:27.It comes and goes. You managed to keep up with it. Yes, you could have

:32:28. > :32:31.done with a little bit more shaping, but you really made yourself proud

:32:32. > :32:36.with this dance. You surprised yourself. I really

:32:37. > :32:39.did. Thank you so much. Go on then. Well done both of you!

:32:40. > :32:52.APPLAUSE Yes, that was a fierce look you

:32:53. > :32:57.gave. She brought the power to the paso. And the audience went wild for

:32:58. > :33:02.it, standing ovation. I tried to take a snapshot of that in my head.

:33:03. > :33:05.Oh, that that feeling. The atmosphere like tonight? Brilliant,

:33:06. > :33:10.what an amazing crowd. The energy in the room.

:33:11. > :33:18.CHEERING After 11 weeks taking part, how have

:33:19. > :33:22.you - how's the public reaction to you? Overwhelming. I'm very clear I

:33:23. > :33:28.wouldn't be here without this guy and their support. I think we all

:33:29. > :33:31.have been blown away. Up underestimate the amazing affection

:33:32. > :33:39.people have for Strictly and the people doing it. Len has high hopes

:33:40. > :33:43.for your American smooth? Can ittive -- live up to it? Definitely! The

:33:44. > :34:03.scores are in: 35, one score less than your highest

:34:04. > :34:09.score. Gasps of shock over the eight. We don't mind. That felt

:34:10. > :34:14.insane to dance, the emotion, wow. Wait for the next one. Think, Sophie

:34:15. > :34:21.and Brendan are one dance from the final. They don't want to hear the

:34:22. > :34:27.words, "you're fired". You might want to be here for this bit. Call

:34:28. > :34:31.to vote: or vote online. It's a night of double dancing and double

:34:32. > :34:36.the pressure. Tonight, there's more spectacular routines, stay with me,

:34:37. > :34:42.and plenty of surprises. Brendan walking off. Who's next?

:34:43. > :34:51.It's the couple of Susanna and her partner Kevin.

:34:52. > :34:56.APPLAUSE Very popular. As Susanna is a BBC

:34:57. > :34:59.lady I thought I'd buy her a Christmas present. But the sales

:35:00. > :35:08.assistants were so rude where I went. I asked, how much a box of

:35:09. > :35:13.chocolates was. She stared at me and walked away. I asked how much the

:35:14. > :35:18.bottle of perfume was and she also walked away. I said to the manager,

:35:19. > :35:28."What kind of a shop do you call this? He said, "The pound shop."

:35:29. > :35:31.Here they are in training. Last week, we did the Argentine

:35:32. > :35:36.tango, which felt really dramatic and passionate and intense. Lacked

:35:37. > :35:40.mood and atmosphere for me. We have everything to play for in the

:35:41. > :35:45.swing-a-thon. All about that. We worked hard on our swing-a-thon and

:35:46. > :35:50.we were called off. It felt like we hadn't started. I was upset, because

:35:51. > :35:54.I felt if we were going tonight, I would have let Susanna town. We're

:35:55. > :35:57.at the stage where there's one more show until the final. It's

:35:58. > :36:01.extraordinary to have got this far. We don't want to go home. Our first

:36:02. > :36:05.dance this week is the foxtrot. To get to the final, this foxtrot needs

:36:06. > :36:10.to be perfect and beautiful. I just want to make sure I get this right.

:36:11. > :36:15.Every dance is a challenge for me. With the foxtrot, I think it will be

:36:16. > :36:20.keeping the frame in the right position and making sure that the

:36:21. > :36:23.steps flow beautifully. Susanna has been working so hard this week. I

:36:24. > :36:27.thought I'd give an extra boost by bringing in some messages from the

:36:28. > :36:33.people supporting her. Nice to see you, to see you... Nice! I'm wishing

:36:34. > :36:37.you all the best luck in the world. We think you're superb, well done

:36:38. > :36:41.and fingers crossed for the finals. We want you to do well in the final.

:36:42. > :36:47.We're rooting for you. Do a fantastic job, getting up early to

:36:48. > :36:56.do the TV as well. Good luck. We are supporting Susanna and Kevin!

:36:57. > :37:00.Remember, keep dancing! I love you guys. Listening to their messages of

:37:01. > :37:07.support puts a massive smile on our faces as well. It's magic.

:37:08. > :37:14.Dancing the Foxtrot, Susanna Reid and Kevin Clifton.

:37:15. > :39:09.I'd love one. Dancing is like a box of chocolates. You don't know what

:39:10. > :39:12.you're going to get. You gave us the most beautiful performance. Susanna

:39:13. > :39:16.and Kevin. APPLAUSE

:39:17. > :39:20.it was lovely. Now then, start us off Darcey. I really like the story.

:39:21. > :39:22.I like you playing hard to get. That was nice at the beginning. It

:39:23. > :39:28.carried through. The technique was all there. You were smooth across

:39:29. > :39:31.the dance floor. That was a nice foxtrot, very nice. Great pivot

:39:32. > :39:39.turns at the end. You are shining again.

:39:40. > :39:44.Thank you. Like you should be. Len? It was a lark in the park. There's

:39:45. > :39:49.Susanna, Kevin from Grimsby, there was nothing grim about it. I'm

:39:50. > :39:53.telling you. It was a delight. A touch of springtime on a cold

:39:54. > :40:01.December evening. I thought it was terrific, well done.

:40:02. > :40:07.Thank you Len. The nation's sweet heart at her

:40:08. > :40:10.charming best - all sweetness and light and full of life. I loved the

:40:11. > :40:15.change of pace in the dance from lovely and flowy to the sweeping

:40:16. > :40:20.turns, the story telling, the face and expression, you work today girl,

:40:21. > :40:31.you work today hard. It shows, great. I'm worried about Craig. I'll

:40:32. > :40:36.stand by. Craig? Sickly, saccharin, sweet, all the things I detest

:40:37. > :40:44.darling, but I have to say the dancing was magnificent.

:40:45. > :40:46.There you are. What were you afraid of. It was beautiful. Off you go and

:40:47. > :41:11.be proud. another standing O from the

:41:12. > :41:15.audience. You've had such highs and the lows of last week's bottom of

:41:16. > :41:19.the leaderboard. Darcey says you are shining again. What does it mean to

:41:20. > :41:24.be here in the semifinal? I've put these on so I can properly look at

:41:25. > :41:29.the scores when they come in. It would mean the world, particularly

:41:30. > :41:33.as it's Kevin's first year and we've had such amazing support and it's

:41:34. > :41:36.been bliss to dance in the semifinal. I couldn't believe that

:41:37. > :41:40.we've got this far. Thanks everybody. Its been fantastic.

:41:41. > :41:46.Training for two dances this week, it must have been exhausting. Erm...

:41:47. > :41:52.It's been twice the fun. It has to be honest. We've had a great time

:41:53. > :42:00.this week. What can we expect? I'm getting me chest out. Are you? I've

:42:01. > :42:25.had it shaved especially. How you tease us. The scores are in:

:42:26. > :42:33.They're bouncing off the floor. And why not? What an incredible stuff.

:42:34. > :42:42.Two 10s. Well done. Pulled it out of the bag when it matters. She can't

:42:43. > :42:46.speak now. Call to vote: Or vote online if you couldn't take your

:42:47. > :42:49.eyes off Susanna and Kevin and you want to see them next week. All our

:42:50. > :42:54.couples are dancing two new routines tonight. So Natalie and Artem are

:42:55. > :42:57.ready to tackle the Argentine tango and Patrick and Anya are hoping

:42:58. > :42:59.their paso will put them in the final. Congratulations you two.

:43:00. > :43:10.Let's get back to the dance floor. Dancing next are Abbey and her

:43:11. > :43:17.partner Aljaz. APPLAUSE

:43:18. > :43:22.All these dancers are so beautiful. Their second dance later on will be

:43:23. > :43:26.based on a prom night. A prom night in America is a party you have when

:43:27. > :43:32.you leave school. I remember the party on my last day at school -

:43:33. > :43:38.there were flashing lights, fireworks and lots of great big

:43:39. > :43:42.bangs. Hang "Minute, that wasn't the -- hang on a minute, that wasn't a

:43:43. > :43:45.party, that was an air raid. I lived through it all. Here they are in

:43:46. > :43:58.training. Saturday night I felt extremely

:43:59. > :44:04.nervous. I just thought, I love me dance, I just wanted to go out there

:44:05. > :44:09.and do me best. To hear Craig say... What he did. Biggest surprise of the

:44:10. > :44:13.entire competition. It just felt our hard work has paid off. This week we

:44:14. > :44:17.have to learn two dances in four days. That is really scary. If we

:44:18. > :44:25.get through this week, we're going to be if the final -- in the final.

:44:26. > :44:30.I can't believe it. It feels like a dream. My first dance this week is

:44:31. > :44:36.the samba. The only thing I know about the samba is that it tearifies

:44:37. > :44:40.the life out of me. I'm panicking now. I started doing the dance and

:44:41. > :44:47.realised no matter what I do, it's going to look awful. I really

:44:48. > :44:50.freaked out. I've forgotten everything. Throughout this

:44:51. > :44:54.competition I've tried to show people that I'm working hard and

:44:55. > :44:59.that I just love it. And to have the support I've had has been amazing. I

:45:00. > :45:03.really want Taufiq win. Abbey you're great, I love your personality.

:45:04. > :45:11.You're going to do really well. You're our favourite. We hope you

:45:12. > :45:17.win. Go head Abbey. Go! You're one of the most glamorous mums I've ever

:45:18. > :45:22.come across and you dance well. It's funny you forget people are actually

:45:23. > :45:28.watching. Never in my life have I felt support like this. For everyone

:45:29. > :45:30.to be behind us feels incredible. Dancing the Samba, Abbey Clancy and

:45:31. > :45:34.Aljaz Skorjanec. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:45:35. > :47:41.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE enjoy it. Breathe it all in. She's

:47:42. > :47:44.nearly crying. Len? To combine rhythm with technique and

:47:45. > :47:48.performance, this is hard to achieve. For me, you did and there

:47:49. > :47:57.were so many wonderful little touches. You did those and slipped

:47:58. > :48:03.in a little timing. It was, I'm telling you, you're a natural. That

:48:04. > :48:10.was fantastic. Yes, you are a natural.

:48:11. > :48:18.Bruno, what due think? And apart from the technique, sex on legs! Sex

:48:19. > :48:27.appeal. You can turn it on. Me too actually, I think. I mean in a good

:48:28. > :48:34.way. It was spontaneous, it wasn't forced. It just came. It was like

:48:35. > :48:38.watching Bridget Bardot in woman created - oh, I don't know. I can't

:48:39. > :48:41.say anything, I'm going to be into trouble.

:48:42. > :48:48.I will get into terrible trouble, but you know what I mean. Loved it.

:48:49. > :48:52.You're absolutely right. Now then, Craig? I think Bruno's on the turn,

:48:53. > :48:59.darling. LAUGHTER

:49:00. > :49:05.I'd like to have seen a little more bounce. But you coped with those

:49:06. > :49:13.rhythm changes brilliantly. It was really, truly amazing.

:49:14. > :49:18.Craig, I'll do the jokes, all right? That was wonderful. Finish up with

:49:19. > :49:22.Darcey. You have got the vibe. I was, you know it's fresh, vibrant.

:49:23. > :49:26.To each dance, you are so natural, as Len said. You don't lose any of

:49:27. > :49:32.the detail, any of the technique and that is difficult to do. You're

:49:33. > :49:41.going flying into that final. You really are. It was beautiful.

:49:42. > :49:45.You deserve it. Don't be so... Go on, wallow in it. Off you go.

:49:46. > :49:58.You left Bruno speechless. I don't think that's ever happened in

:49:59. > :50:02.Strictly history. Did you enjoy that? Loved it. It's a great song

:50:03. > :50:06.and we just went out and tried to have fun. Because it could be our

:50:07. > :50:11.last time on t dance floor. Well you have one more dance tonight. Well,

:50:12. > :50:15.yeah! You started the show as a novice, nerves have been a factor.

:50:16. > :50:22.How are you feeling now, are you feeling like a dancer? She is one.

:50:23. > :50:46.Guess what, you are one. Thank you. The scores are in:

:50:47. > :50:54.A well deserved three 10s. I'm getting a hug as well. I'll take it

:50:55. > :50:58.where I can get it. I don't mind a sweaty hug. They need more than

:50:59. > :51:08.faith to get them to the final. They need your votes. Call to vote: Or

:51:09. > :51:12.vote online. We've reached the halfway point of

:51:13. > :51:24.our sensational semifinal. Let's look at the leaderboard:

:51:25. > :51:30.A high-scoring night tonight. Anything can happen in the next half

:51:31. > :51:33.hour as all our couples are about to dance again. Here's a reminder of

:51:34. > :53:12.their performances so far: What a night. Remember, don't vote

:53:13. > :53:19.until later on. Round two coming up. It's time to welcome back Natalie

:53:20. > :53:23.and her partner Artem. Now before they perform their final

:53:24. > :53:25.dance of the evening, here's what the judges think Natalie and Artem

:53:26. > :53:43.need to do to get to the final. Natalie constantly comes out with

:53:44. > :53:47.great performances. As a dance, corking. Technically, she has been

:53:48. > :53:58.absolutely brilliant. Have a look at this. I was pal p Tating, %

:53:59. > :54:02.operating and -- persperating and flatulating. That was gorgeous. You

:54:03. > :54:07.tend to be perfect, you tend to be predictable. Sho has to do something

:54:08. > :54:13.we don't expect. Lacked a little bit of drama. For Natalie, she's relied

:54:14. > :54:16.on her technique. It is so leer cull and -- lyrical and beautiful to

:54:17. > :54:23.watch. But all the dances become the same, especially the ballroom for

:54:24. > :54:27.me. For me, too much whooshing and not enough foxtrotting. Semifinal

:54:28. > :54:36.and the stakes are high. I want her to come out and really show me the

:54:37. > :54:40.real Natalie. Has Natalie plateaued? Argentine tango, Natalie and Artem,

:54:41. > :54:45.that should be right up her street. If Natalie can really get into the

:54:46. > :54:51.character of the Argentine tango, it's going to be fantastic. Craig,

:54:52. > :54:56.you might have to dust off your ten darling. Don't hold your breath. My

:54:57. > :55:00.biggest challenge is bringing a sense of intimacy to the dance. I

:55:01. > :55:07.have to dance as if Artem is the only one there. Taking Argentine

:55:08. > :55:16.tango to a semifinal is not an easy task. It has to be pretty perfect.

:55:17. > :55:20.You only -- you're only as good as your last performance. That's got to

:55:21. > :55:22.come across on screen as well. If it doesn't, it could be the end of the

:55:23. > :55:28.road. Dancing the Argentine Tango,

:55:29. > :55:32.Nataalie Gumede and Artem Chigvintsev.

:55:33. > :57:24.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE They're up again. They're with us

:57:25. > :57:34.now. They're not tired any more. That was lovely. The red devil, I'll

:57:35. > :57:37.call you. Wasn't that beautiful. Incredible. What astonishes me is

:57:38. > :57:42.the precision, the placement, the line, it was almost like watching a

:57:43. > :57:49.surgical operation, everything was right on the spot. The beauty of the

:57:50. > :57:53.lines was mesmerising. The intensity of your rapport with Artem that you

:57:54. > :57:58.started in the first half of the show continued, in another way, that

:57:59. > :58:10.I found absolutely voluming and beautiful to see. -- involving and

:58:11. > :58:18.butying to see. -- beautiful to see. Craig? I agree, actually. The

:58:19. > :58:22.gaunchos need to be looser. This dance needs to look improvised. It

:58:23. > :58:29.should look like Artem is leading you. I felt that you were taking the

:58:30. > :58:35.lead sometimes. And your feet need to pass through one another. They

:58:36. > :58:42.have to come together when you do the ochos as well. Tiny details, but

:58:43. > :58:49.what a dance routine! Darcey, what did you think? The expertise of

:58:50. > :58:53.difficulty could not be better. It is an extraordinary dance you gave

:58:54. > :58:57.us. I would only like a little more attitude in your character. It was

:58:58. > :59:01.very sensual for an Argentine tango. I would like you to be a little

:59:02. > :59:08.more, you know, come on, give it more, babe. You did it in those last

:59:09. > :59:20.three moves, you gave it again another perfect end. The finish was

:59:21. > :59:26.fantastic. Len? Dance is like fire, some dances should warm, Argentine

:59:27. > :59:36.tango should burn. I'm telling you, you sizzled out there, girl! You're

:59:37. > :59:40.a sizzler. Get up there, sizzler, take him with you.

:59:41. > :00:18.you? This whole experience has been so magical and I've never felt so

:00:19. > :00:24.alive. Thank you so everyone who's supported us. We've been thrilled to

:00:25. > :00:46.perform for you. The scores are in:

:00:47. > :00:52.Bringing the 10s. What about these scores tonight? What about the

:00:53. > :00:55.standard of dancing. Are these two your king and queen of the dance

:00:56. > :01:05.floor? Check you have the numbers and vote: Or vote online as soon as

:01:06. > :01:10.everybody has danced. The atmosphere in the ballroom tonight is reck

:01:11. > :01:17.trick. If you can't get enough -- electric, if you can't get enough go

:01:18. > :01:26.to Twitter, Facebook for more. Patrick and Anya are next.

:01:27. > :01:31.Now then, it has been a series of ups and downs for Patrick. Last week

:01:32. > :01:35.saw him topping the leaderboard and then ending up in the dance-off. The

:01:36. > :01:40.second time, by the way, in the dance-off. So tonight, can they win

:01:41. > :01:50.over the public as well as the judges? Here's what the judges think

:01:51. > :01:54.about Patrick and Anya. Patrick most certainly has been our

:01:55. > :01:59.best male celebrity. He had natural rhythm from the beginning, but he

:02:00. > :02:04.didn't know how to contain it. He's nifty for 50. His energy is that of

:02:05. > :02:07.a 20-year-old. The last few weeks he's come to life. He started and a

:02:08. > :02:11.little bit faltering. He started rough. He used to get it all wrong.

:02:12. > :02:16.If you make a mistake, keep the flow. Then the bad hand. In the

:02:17. > :02:21.dance-off. After that, something happened. That was the quickstep.

:02:22. > :02:26.Beautiful. He just changed. The energy was phenomenal. I loved the

:02:27. > :02:32.theatricality of the whole thing. I think he knew what his strength was.

:02:33. > :02:36.He gets the character of the dance. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was an

:02:37. > :02:40.example. Was amazing. He took a classic and made it his own. A lot

:02:41. > :02:45.of it is about the detail. That's the key to whoever wins Strictly

:02:46. > :02:49.Come Dancing. Let's hope it continues and it gets even better.

:02:50. > :02:57.It's semifinal, everyone's got to up their game. In ballroom, he needs to

:02:58. > :03:02.refine. In hold he looked down a bit. His Latin is fantastic. My

:03:03. > :03:06.expectations are very high. My only concern with the paso doble is that

:03:07. > :03:10.one of Patrick's secrets is his rhythm and paso doble is more of a

:03:11. > :03:17.march. You don't want hip action. If he can pull that off, Patrick the

:03:18. > :03:24.matador, woo-hoo. He doesn't we won't see him in the final. This has

:03:25. > :03:28.the attitude of the mad tore and -- matador and has strength. It's very

:03:29. > :03:34.definite. I just have to focus to get it right. A very serious week

:03:35. > :03:38.because it's semifinals. This is a serious dance. We need to pull

:03:39. > :03:41.everything together to give the best possible dance. Having worked so

:03:42. > :03:48.hard for three months, it would be a real shame not to get into the

:03:49. > :03:50.final. Yeah, I'd be gutted. Dancing the Paso Doble, Patrick

:03:51. > :05:53.Robinson and Anya Garnis. And again, how many are we going to

:05:54. > :05:57.have tonight? Even upstairs. My friends are there. Well done both of

:05:58. > :06:04.you. Craig would you like to start us off? Yes, well, it had control

:06:05. > :06:10.and it had command. But it didn't have a Spanish feel at all. It was

:06:11. > :06:21.very square and I think the dance actually exposed your weaknesses.

:06:22. > :06:26.Walking seemed to be a problem. It was the walking that was very odd.

:06:27. > :06:31.That's the first thing that you need to correct. The attitude. Darcey? I

:06:32. > :06:38.was waiting for you to turn it on as well. There was attack there, but

:06:39. > :06:42.there was no grrr. Anya I felt that you were leading him. That shape,

:06:43. > :06:47.it's so important in a paso to create shape and tuck that bum

:06:48. > :06:53.under. I was missing that. It's very tricky for me. I know it's tricky,

:06:54. > :06:59.you have a nice bottom. You have to tuck it under. Not your best dance.

:07:00. > :07:03.I accept that absolutely. A shame. Len? I saw arrogance and attitude

:07:04. > :07:11.coming out there, but it was a bit... Yay. But it was a bit off and

:07:12. > :07:18.on. But it didn't maintain it. However, I thought that the whole

:07:19. > :07:21.dance was full of verve, energy. OK, more shaping, but I liked it. Good

:07:22. > :07:27.job. He liked it. Bruno? You had great

:07:28. > :07:31.power, great determination. You led very, very well. You played with

:07:32. > :07:36.your cape. The thing is what happens in this circumstance, you want it so

:07:37. > :07:40.badly that what happens you lose the finesse, you lose the Spanish line.

:07:41. > :07:44.You lose the details that at this stage are very, very important. The

:07:45. > :07:48.performance was very, very good. The content was there. It needed a

:07:49. > :07:56.little bit more artistry. But overall, it wasn't bad, my darling.

:07:57. > :08:00.We all loved it. They all stood up. Don't forget that Patrick.

:08:01. > :08:13.Mixed response from the judges there. But the audience loved it.

:08:14. > :08:17.They were on their feet. How due feel? I felt pretty good. It's gone

:08:18. > :08:22.better in rehearsals, about you pretty good. Do you think you've

:08:23. > :08:27.done enough to get to the final? Who knows the secret of the black magic

:08:28. > :08:33.box. If you get there, will you give us some of your spectacular lifts in

:08:34. > :08:40.the show dance? You're the lift meister? I don't know about that.

:08:41. > :09:02.Yes, yes, you will. Yes. Anya says so. The scores are in:

:09:03. > :09:10.Let's hope everyone feels the same as Craig getting booed. Ring to

:09:11. > :09:14.vote: Or vote online later, if you think Patrick and Anya deserve the

:09:15. > :09:19.extra push into the Grand Final. Three more couples left and then the

:09:20. > :09:23.vote opens. I'm so excited. Just can't hide it. What does our

:09:24. > :09:33.next couple have in store? Next to dance again are Sophie and

:09:34. > :09:40.her partner Brendan. From week one, Sophie has excelled

:09:41. > :09:44.in the ballroom dances. So she must be hoping to impress with her next

:09:45. > :09:54.dance the American smooth. Here's what the judges had to say about

:09:55. > :10:00.Sophie and Brendan's Strictly story. For me, Sophie - clean, clear,

:10:01. > :10:05.precise. I think she's one of the most naturally elegant competitors

:10:06. > :10:10.we've ever had. Her charleston was beautiful. We expected so much

:10:11. > :10:13.because of that show she did. I think that's the key. That

:10:14. > :10:18.charleston was a blessing and a curse. Our expectation flew. When

:10:19. > :10:22.she finds the character of the role, she's brilliant. When she's not sure

:10:23. > :10:26.of the character, it really holds her back. I would like a little bit

:10:27. > :10:32.more passion coming out in it. And getting a little bit more involved

:10:33. > :10:37.in the dance. When she has to go beyond the comfort zone, she starts

:10:38. > :10:43.to almost giggle. In the rumba, she started to giggle and go, "What am I

:10:44. > :10:47.doing? No, you can't do that. She's introverted in her emotions somehow.

:10:48. > :10:52.I know it's there, but it doesn't come out. I want to see Sophie

:10:53. > :10:56.explode on that dance floor. There's so much more in you. Get out there

:10:57. > :11:02.and attack it. She's got the looks. She needs the power. Can I tell you

:11:03. > :11:06.what her biggest competition is? It's herself. Convincing herself

:11:07. > :11:10.that she's a good dancer. We have know she's good. She doesn't think

:11:11. > :11:16.she is. American smooth and Sophie could be stunning. American smooth

:11:17. > :11:19.is a class dance. If she can get that Hollywood flavour, there she

:11:20. > :11:22.goes straight in the final. The only thing that Sophie will fail is her

:11:23. > :11:26.consistency all the way through. It's making sure that she's focussed

:11:27. > :11:30.from the beginning to the end. If she doesn't do that, I don't see her

:11:31. > :11:36.going through. I think this American smooth needs to be a real showpiece.

:11:37. > :11:39.We have a few lifts. The trouble is if that goes wrong, and it hurts,

:11:40. > :11:43.you're suddenly aware of the consequences. Now we're in the

:11:44. > :11:47.semifinal, you're aiming for perfection. I know I will give it

:11:48. > :11:51.all I have got on the dance floor because I would love to be part of

:11:52. > :11:52.the final. Dancing the American Smooth, Sophie

:11:53. > :11:57.Ellis Bextor and Brendan Cole. MUSIC: They Can't Take That Away

:11:58. > :13:48.From Me CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:13:49. > :13:56.They don't stay sitting for long. Wonderful, absolutely. You did it.

:13:57. > :14:02.Brendan, coming down reminded me of me in the morning.

:14:03. > :14:06.Darcey? This is your dance. I mean, those three lifts, from the top, the

:14:07. > :14:11.middle and then the bottom, it was so graceful. You came in and out of

:14:12. > :14:19.them seamlessly. That is so classy. Yet again, you ooze sophisticated

:14:20. > :14:24.glamour. I loved that performance, well done. Len? Loved the lifts. I

:14:25. > :14:28.loved the musical interpretation. I loved the whole feel of the dance

:14:29. > :14:33.throughout, from those lifts right through, it had a beautiful flow to

:14:34. > :14:38.it. There was an elegance and sophistication. A couple of times

:14:39. > :14:44.your head went a little bit how's your father, sorry Brendan. But I'm

:14:45. > :14:54.not going to lie to millions of people. No. That's what happened.

:14:55. > :15:05.Pretend if you want. It was beautiful. So much style. So

:15:06. > :15:16.impeccable. For me, your best performance to date. You can do it.

:15:17. > :15:20.You did it. Craig? The only thing that bothered me that -- bothered me

:15:21. > :15:24.in that routine is that you came out of hold. I don't feel you're holding

:15:25. > :15:29.your own. I only feel confident when you're in Brendan's arms, sadly. But

:15:30. > :15:37.it was a beautiful dance. Packed full of style, as Bruno said. Tell

:15:38. > :15:54.yourself, you were wonderful. Such an elegant routine, wasn't it?

:15:55. > :15:58.The judges loved the lifts. Did you feel you were floating on air? I

:15:59. > :16:02.think the Strictly experience is made for dances like that. They feel

:16:03. > :16:08.sublime. Gorgeous, Brendan, how proud are you? It's very hard to put

:16:09. > :16:12.into words. Every week has been a delight and tonight, really tops off

:16:13. > :16:17.a magical Strictly experience. The audience are fantastic. This girl is

:16:18. > :16:22.fantastic too. Can she make it to the final? Yes.

:16:23. > :16:45.Absolutely. Thank you, scores are in:

:16:46. > :16:56.A ten. Her first ten. That's what it feels like, she says, long overdue.

:16:57. > :17:01.Thank you to all of them. Sophie dreams of being in the final. Don't

:17:02. > :17:05.take that from her. Ring to vote: Or go online and choose your favourite

:17:06. > :17:07.when the vote opens later in the show.

:17:08. > :17:13.It's been a night of high drama and high scores. Who's next?

:17:14. > :17:20.Next to dance again are Susanna and her partner Kevin.

:17:21. > :17:28.It's been a series of two halves for this couple. Their paso doble in

:17:29. > :17:33.Blackpool brought the house down. Topped the judges' scores, but last

:17:34. > :17:36.week's Argentine tango saw them at the bottom of the leaderboard.

:17:37. > :17:44.Here's what the judges think they need to do to make it through to the

:17:45. > :17:48.final. For me, Susanna is what this show is

:17:49. > :17:53.all about. She's gone from reading the news to being the news on the

:17:54. > :17:58.dance floor. No-one expected her to have that kind of natural ability to

:17:59. > :18:07.connect, to play different parts. What I loved was her paso doble. It

:18:08. > :18:12.was like a buffet of Spanish tapas. She sold that number. She dominated.

:18:13. > :18:17.She was on top of the occasion. She is a bit of an all-rounder. Her

:18:18. > :18:23.waltz was beautiful. Susanna struggles with parts of Latin, for

:18:24. > :18:27.instance her cha cha cha. It did not pop or zing. It was mumsy.

:18:28. > :18:34.Throughout the series there's always some dance that's don't suit you. It

:18:35. > :18:38.was the hip action, it didn't have that natural, easy flow to it.

:18:39. > :18:43.Sometimes they underdo it or overpush it. It was the first one

:18:44. > :18:48.she didn't look comfortable in. The performances are always endearing.

:18:49. > :18:54.It's the finishing of the movement. She's close. It's little details

:18:55. > :18:58.here. If they get kicked out in the semifinal, devastated. I'm a little

:18:59. > :19:01.concerned for Susanna. Salsa is a club dance. She has to come out and

:19:02. > :19:06.really sizzle. They need to get this dance right, other-wise I'm afraid

:19:07. > :19:09.it's game over. The salsa is a tough dance to

:19:10. > :19:14.impress the dances with in the semifinals, lots of hip movement.

:19:15. > :19:19.And there's complicated steps and lifts. It's quite a challenge doing

:19:20. > :19:24.it in the semifinal. It can be here, but we don't want it to be here and

:19:25. > :19:28.present it. Whereas we got criticised in samba for being muddy,

:19:29. > :19:31.that's quite good in salsa. It's the difference between getting to the

:19:32. > :19:32.final and going home. We have to bring everything we've got to the

:19:33. > :19:36.dance floor. Dancing the Salsa, Susanna Reid and

:19:37. > :21:39.Kevin Clifton. Here they are, Susanna and Kevin, a

:21:40. > :21:45.lovely performance. Well done. Have you shaved your chest yet? I

:21:46. > :21:48.have. Oh, you have. I always found a blowtorch was the best way. It looks

:21:49. > :21:52.great. Len, what did you think? Full of

:21:53. > :21:58.energy. There was no holding back. It was all or nothing. The final or

:21:59. > :22:05.bust. With all that intensity, all that attack, on occasion it got a

:22:06. > :22:11.tad messy here and there. But, it is what it is. You come out here and I

:22:12. > :22:16.can really see you want to make it to that final. You work so hard. You

:22:17. > :22:20.throw everything you've got into it. You sell it beautifully. I'm with

:22:21. > :22:24.you with that. But it is the semifinal. Len is right, the

:22:25. > :22:29.movement because you put so much into it, becomes a bit messy, you

:22:30. > :22:32.don't finish properly. We told you before, precision. We love the

:22:33. > :22:36.energy. Precision, precision, precision! These are the salsa girls

:22:37. > :22:48.I like dancing with though. Craig? Darling, if I had a pound for

:22:49. > :22:53.every facial expression you made, I'd be a multimillionaire. I could

:22:54. > :23:03.make you a rich man, Craig. Exactly. A little bit heavy foot for me and

:23:04. > :23:09.messy. Vivacious, darling. And Darcey, darling? For me, you looked

:23:10. > :23:14.so much more relaxed and natural in the Latin, I haven't seen that.

:23:15. > :23:20.That, you gave us tonight, 100% disco energy. The leg action is

:23:21. > :23:27.something that comes in and out. But still full on. And we all loved it.

:23:28. > :23:30.I loved dancing it. Off you go.

:23:31. > :23:46.Still she shimmies. I love that. I know the Latin hasn't been your

:23:47. > :23:53.favourite. But I've never seen you have so much fun. Did it feel good?

:23:54. > :24:00.It felt ridiculously, fantastically good fun. To add to a muddy samba, I

:24:01. > :24:04.can say I've done a messy salsa. Now all the judges agreed that you

:24:05. > :24:09.threw everything into that. What would it mean to get through to the

:24:10. > :24:13.final? It would be phenomenal. It really would. I mean, I just adore

:24:14. > :24:21.dancing with Kevin. It's a total privilege and an honour. It has been

:24:22. > :24:25.an incredible privilege to dance not once, but twice with you. Thanks

:24:26. > :24:31.very much. And he shaved the chest for you.

:24:32. > :24:48.My children are watching. Judges please, scores:

:24:49. > :25:01.That's all right. Not your best or your worst. The That's what the

:25:02. > :25:06.judges thought. Call to vote: Or vote online. That vote opens very

:25:07. > :25:10.soon. We have just one couple left to take to the floor and dance for

:25:11. > :25:16.their place in the Grand Final. Ladies and gentleman, are you ready?

:25:17. > :25:22.CHEERING Take it away.

:25:23. > :25:30.Back for their second dance it's our final couple of the evening, Abbey

:25:31. > :25:35.and Aljaz. It's been a series of highs and lows

:25:36. > :25:40.for all our couples. Abbey is no exception. She was the first

:25:41. > :25:45.celebrity to score a perfect 40, but has also been in the dance-off. Now

:25:46. > :25:54.before they dance, here's what the judges think about Abbey and Aljaz.

:25:55. > :25:59.At the beginning, Abbey lacked a bit of consistency. She used to throw

:26:00. > :26:03.away her moves. She wasn't aware of her body. She couldn't sort out her

:26:04. > :26:07.left foot from her right foot. In the ballroom, she's elegant and you

:26:08. > :26:12.kind of get that straight away. It really showed first in the Latin how

:26:13. > :26:15.her confidence failed. She suddenly is nervous and uncomfortable. It

:26:16. > :26:21.took a while for her to believe in herself. You can see a progression.

:26:22. > :26:25.It's always happening. Every week, it's better. Every week, the

:26:26. > :26:32.performance is stronger. She has gone from absolute zero to hero as

:26:33. > :26:44.far as I'm concerned. That salsa, absolutely knocked us for dead. That

:26:45. > :26:49.was great. Mesmerising. A-maz-ing. That girl can dance. Dusted off my

:26:50. > :26:56.ten for Abbey. I'm hoping that she maintains that standard. Maintaining

:26:57. > :27:02.the A game. If she loses it for a second then mistakes happen. It's a

:27:03. > :27:08.bit like walking a tight rope, one false move and you're out. American

:27:09. > :27:14.smooth, it's perfect for her. Fluent, ease of movement, little bit

:27:15. > :27:19.in hold. Oh, come on Abbey. Don't let me down. Abbey's nerves could be

:27:20. > :27:23.her downfall. We know she's had problems in the past. This is the

:27:24. > :27:27.semifinal. Let's hope Abbey's nerves don't take over like they have in

:27:28. > :27:32.the past. I'm so excited to do the American

:27:33. > :27:36.smooth. I have been for the whole series. We're struggling a bit with

:27:37. > :27:42.timing. It needs to look perfect. It's the semifinal, the judges are

:27:43. > :27:46.not going to let us get away with anything. The thought of it coming

:27:47. > :27:50.to an end breaks my heart. I'm still not ready to go. I don't want it to

:27:51. > :27:51.end. Dancing the American Smooth, Abbey

:27:52. > :29:53.Clancy and Aljaz Skorjanec. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:29:54. > :30:00.Same again, two standing ovations. It was lovely, darling. Absolutely

:30:01. > :30:08.lovely. Now then, Bruno? Another totally captivating performance from

:30:09. > :30:15.you two. I tell you, you've got the full package - signed, sealed,

:30:16. > :30:23.delivered, I'm yours! I wouldn't take that too seriously.

:30:24. > :30:32.Don't be naughty. Go and have a lie down.

:30:33. > :30:36.Craig? Yeah, it was full of charisma. You really have an

:30:37. > :30:43.enormous amount of style. You're so watchable. I adore watching you

:30:44. > :30:47.dance. There is a small point, darling, of your sickled feet in the

:30:48. > :30:54.lifts, which you need to sort out. Apart from that. Nobody saw it, but

:30:55. > :30:58.you. Darcey? I saw it as well. But really, you are high school musical

:30:59. > :31:02.glamour, babe. Really, it was stunning. You came out there and you

:31:03. > :31:06.sold it to me. You are a natural finalist. Just don't sickle the foot

:31:07. > :31:12.in the lifts, all right? Perfect, though.

:31:13. > :31:18.She's a natural dancer. What did you think? I'll see you next week in the

:31:19. > :31:23.final. Don't let him down.

:31:24. > :31:28.It was wonderful. Two standing ovations. Off you go.

:31:29. > :31:45.What a way to end the show. Our prom king and queen. How was that for

:31:46. > :31:49.you? It was amazing. I loved that dance. She was looking forward to

:31:50. > :31:53.the American smooth. But still wafting up here on cloud nine. Len

:31:54. > :31:57.and Darcey said they're going to see you in the final. How much do you

:31:58. > :32:01.want to be there? I'm desperate to be in the final. I don't want it to

:32:02. > :32:05.end. It's been the most amazing, amazing experience of my life. How

:32:06. > :32:11.proud are you of abbey to get this far? There's no words to describe

:32:12. > :32:15.it. Every week she delivers a million per cent and never lets me

:32:16. > :32:20.down. I'm so proud, so happy. Proud are you of Aljaz, his first series

:32:21. > :32:22.in the semifinal. I know! He's amazing. It's a love-in. The scores

:32:23. > :32:51.are in: It's raining 10s. Congratulations.

:32:52. > :32:55.That's it, our prom king and queen have danced all they can. Now it's

:32:56. > :33:03.up to you to get them through to the final. Call to vote: Or go online.

:33:04. > :33:08.The vote opens in a few seconds. Get ready, all of our couples have

:33:09. > :33:09.performed two amazing routines. Where does that leave them on the

:33:10. > :33:27.leaderboard? Those points are only half of the

:33:28. > :33:30.story. Remember, you are voting for your Strictly Come Dancing 2013

:33:31. > :33:35.finalists. So pick up the phone and go online, voting is now open.

:33:36. > :33:46.CHEERING It's open.

:33:47. > :33:52.Full terms and conditions are online. Lines close at 8. 55pm.

:33:53. > :33:54.Here's a reminder of all of tonight's show stopping

:33:55. > :36:52.performances. What a night! You fantastic

:36:53. > :36:55.semifinalists have lived the Strictly life for three months and

:36:56. > :37:02.none of them want to go home when they're so close to the Glitterball

:37:03. > :37:11.trophy. To fall at the final hurdle would be heart breaking. It's

:37:12. > :37:22.hideous, oh, man. I can't stand it. You do feel very exposed. Just

:37:23. > :37:27.desperate to hear your name. You're flooded with relief. That hug, after

:37:28. > :37:34.you know you're through, is the best hug of the night. I'm still not

:37:35. > :37:39.ready to go. You're hoping that you've done enough. We don't want it

:37:40. > :37:45.to end. We'd be devastated. I'd be gutted.

:37:46. > :37:50.Brucie, what a night. Nobody wants to leave. Your votes could save

:37:51. > :37:56.them. Voting closes at 8. 55pm. Didn't they do well. Yes. A

:37:57. > :38:01.semifinal to remember. All five of our couples deserve to be in the

:38:02. > :38:05.final. You really do, you all deserve it. Sadly, only four of them

:38:06. > :38:10.can make it. Your votes will help decide who makes it into the Grand

:38:11. > :38:15.Final. Join Tess and Claudia to find out which two couples will face our
