:48:11. > :48:15.was one of the most exciting moments of my life. It was a real buzz. It
:48:16. > :48:20.was mayhem. I loved every single minute of it. It felt like old
:48:21. > :48:23.school Hollywood glamour. It was like entering into a Strictly
:48:24. > :48:28.bubble. It's amazing, it really is. It's like being transported into
:48:29. > :48:31.another world. Strictly, for me, has been the most incredible thing I've
:48:32. > :48:44.ever done. I remember being really nervous. All I could think was - who
:48:45. > :48:47.am I going to get? When I saw it was James Jordon my heart leapt.
:48:48. > :48:51.Suddenly we're in the training room. The two of you and you actually have
:48:52. > :48:55.to learn to dance. The first live show, well, I was so nervous. My
:48:56. > :48:58.knees were knocking when I walked down the stairs. Standing on the
:48:59. > :49:03.edge of that dance floor and about to step on it for the first time, I
:49:04. > :49:07.cannot describe. It was like stepping out of the frying pan into
:49:08. > :49:17.the fire. That's when the roller coaster really began. After you
:49:18. > :49:22.dance, you have to stand in front of the judges. You get the most amazing
:49:23. > :49:34.lovely highs. Was fantastic! I'm willing you to dance well and you
:49:35. > :49:38.know what, you did. Then, equally, amazing lows. You've got this unique
:49:39. > :49:42.ability of never letting your left leg know what your right leg's going
:49:43. > :49:45.to do. I know you need to have separation in the legs. That's what
:49:46. > :49:50.I'm working on. The themed weeks, for me, were brilliant, loved all of
:49:51. > :49:57.them. The Hallowe'en one probably stuck out for me. The make up, the
:49:58. > :50:03.outfits, the staging, spectacular. Watch out Blackpool, Strictly's in
:50:04. > :50:06.town. The Blackpool Tower Ballroom was one of those moments that will
:50:07. > :50:12.stay with me forever. Seeing the kids come on and dance at Blackpool
:50:13. > :50:15.put a smile on my face. I love the idea of all the generations taking
:50:16. > :50:20.part. I think that's what this show represents, it can be enjoyed by
:50:21. > :50:24.every generation. Strictly was a rare, once in a lifetime
:50:25. > :50:27.opportunity. There are things in life that money can't buy, Strictly
:50:28. > :50:32.experience is one of them. I did it for the elder generation. I can move
:50:33. > :50:37.given half a chance, obviously not quite well enough. Hopefully I
:50:38. > :50:43.showed everyone at home that being a big lad that I could learn to dance
:50:44. > :50:46.Big Ben, ding dong. The wonderful thing about doing ballroom dancing,
:50:47. > :50:49.it's something I never thought I'd be doing. It's like jumping back
:50:50. > :50:53.into the past. When you get it right, it's an amazing feeling. My
:50:54. > :50:57.personal highlight was when we got the big standing ovation after the
:50:58. > :51:01.paso doble. That was magic. Strictly Come Dancing is every little girl's
:51:02. > :51:08.dream in terms of the hair and the make up and the costumes. I've got
:51:09. > :51:12.2,000 crystals on. I would say Strictly has given me the knowledge
:51:13. > :51:17.that there is still plenty that I can do. You are the best male
:51:18. > :51:21.celebrity in this competition. I'm very proud to have got to the
:51:22. > :51:26.semifinal. I was the last man standing, at 50. So all of those
:51:27. > :51:31.things, I give myself a huge pat on the back. If you don't go for things
:51:32. > :51:37.in life, you'll be left with the feeling of "what if". You have to go
:51:38. > :51:40.for it 100%. It's been an amazing experience, learning all those
:51:41. > :51:43.dances, it's just wonderful. It's changed my life actually. It's given
:51:44. > :51:46.me my confidence back. These people become really good friends. It's
:51:47. > :51:50.properly heart breaking to say goodbye to them. You know, at the
:51:51. > :51:54.end of the day, there's nothing quite like being a member of the
:51:55. > :52:00.Strictly family. Strictly has left something with me. I hope it lasts,
:52:01. > :52:04.because it awoke a joy in me that I've long forgotten. It's an amazing
:52:05. > :52:10.thing to go through life and reach my age and discover that I love as
