0:24:25 > 0:24:28Still to come down the chimney, Rufus Hound is in the doghouse,

0:24:28 > 0:24:33Eskimo-style, and Rochelle Humes is giving us a Santa salsa.

0:24:33 > 0:24:35But who's next to be unwrapped, Bruce?

0:24:49 > 0:24:53there will be lots and lots of candles.

0:24:53 > 0:24:57And they were a few short, so I rang up Ronnie Corbett and said,

0:24:58 > 0:25:01LAUGHTER

0:25:01 > 0:25:05He said, "It was only funny when we did it," and slammed the phone down!

0:25:11 > 0:25:13Broadcaster Sara Cox worked as a model

0:25:13 > 0:25:17and TV presenter before becoming one of BBC Radio's biggest stars.

0:25:17 > 0:25:22I did the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, and now I can be found on Radio 2.

0:25:22 > 0:25:23Top Of The Pops!

0:25:23 > 0:25:25I worked in telly, and then I thought,

0:25:25 > 0:25:28if you go on the radio, you don't need loads of make-up on and stuff,

0:25:28 > 0:25:29and you don't have to hold your belly in.

0:25:33 > 0:25:36Christmas Day for me, the kids get up ridiculously early,

0:25:36 > 0:25:38we make them wait before they're allowed to go downstairs

0:25:38 > 0:25:40to see if Father Christmas has been.

0:25:40 > 0:25:43He's usually been, cos they're very good children.

0:25:43 > 0:25:46And then I start peeling root vegetables.

0:25:46 > 0:25:49So, I've got my posh frock on with my pinny and my slippers.

0:25:49 > 0:25:54But this year, of course, I'm going to be wearing an even posher frock

0:25:54 > 0:25:55and a lot more sparkles.

0:25:55 > 0:25:56It's super exciting!

0:25:58 > 0:26:00So, I got told that I was dancing with Robin,

0:26:00 > 0:26:02who I think is fabulous on the show.

0:26:02 > 0:26:05I'm finding it quite difficult to be graceful enough.

0:26:05 > 0:26:07I'm kind of quite lanky,

0:26:07 > 0:26:09and lanky and clumpy at the same time.

0:26:12 > 0:26:15Look how graceful you are, you just naturally do that and I'm like...

0:26:15 > 0:26:17I'm trying to smooth out all the bumps

0:26:17 > 0:26:19so that we flow very graciously across the floor.

0:26:19 > 0:26:22Very delicately and dainty. You... Ooh.

0:26:23 > 0:26:24Turn underneath it.

0:26:24 > 0:26:26Ooh!

0:26:26 > 0:26:30The biggest challenge, really, is the dancing!

0:26:30 > 0:26:33Tap, run, under...

0:26:33 > 0:26:34Ooh!

0:26:34 > 0:26:36Sara's not used to a man taking the lead.

0:26:36 > 0:26:38Man's always leading the woman.

0:26:38 > 0:26:40- I create the turn.- Ah.

0:26:40 > 0:26:44This is just like working with a spaniel or something!

0:26:44 > 0:26:46She has to be the fairy on top of the Christmas tree,

0:26:46 > 0:26:48gliding over the fairy dust.

0:26:49 > 0:26:52I guess to win over the judges I could maybe leave some

0:26:52 > 0:26:55chocolate liqueurs in Len's dressing room.

0:26:55 > 0:26:57Or a little tot of sherry, maybe!

0:26:58 > 0:27:00CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:29:01 > 0:29:03Here we are. Craig, tell us what you think.

0:29:03 > 0:29:06Well, it was a little bit like a Christmas cracker, I'm afraid,

0:29:06 > 0:29:08that did not explode.

0:29:08 > 0:29:09Oh! BOOING

0:29:09 > 0:29:12Your frame left a lot to be desired,

0:29:12 > 0:29:15you didn't spot during any of your turns,

0:29:15 > 0:29:17your free arm, I thought, was very, very loose.

0:29:17 > 0:29:19BOOING

0:29:19 > 0:29:21You were also a little bit pigeon-toed throughout.

0:29:21 > 0:29:24- Ain't he mean!- Apart from that... - It's Christmas!

0:29:24 > 0:29:26But apart from that, I thought it was perfect.

0:33:11 > 0:33:13The people at home will know me best

0:33:13 > 0:33:16from being in a girl group called The Saturdays.

0:33:18 > 0:33:21Everyone thinks that I'm going to be OK because me and the girls

0:33:21 > 0:33:23do a bit of dancing, but it's completely different.

0:33:23 > 0:33:27We really don't do anything on the level of what I've been

0:33:27 > 0:33:31rehearsing for for the past few days, I've really had a culture shock!

0:33:33 > 0:33:37My little girl, Alaia, it will be her first Christmas.

0:33:49 > 0:33:52I'd be trying to do the salsa!

0:33:52 > 0:33:55At home, Marvin is genuinely trying to help me,

0:34:19 > 0:34:21That's an easy one!

0:34:21 > 0:34:25It's been a bit of a roller coaster doing Strictly and having a new baby.

0:34:25 > 0:34:29She's teething, so I'm bringing her in to training with me.

0:34:29 > 0:34:32This might have to be how I do the dance now.

0:34:32 > 0:34:36She's just looking at me as if to say, "Mum, what are you doing?"

0:34:36 > 0:34:40So we've been salsa-ing and pram-pushing all at once.

0:34:40 > 0:34:43Me and Rochelle, we get on like a house on fire.

0:34:49 > 0:34:51I hope that I don't fall over.

0:34:51 > 0:34:55So winning is a bonus, but staying on my feet is the most important thing.

0:34:59 > 0:35:04Dancing the salsa, Rochelle Humes and Ian Waite.

0:37:11 > 0:37:14But you certainly made it very tricky.

0:37:14 > 0:37:17There was a lot of twisting turns and lifts and everything,

0:37:17 > 0:37:20but you handled it very well. Well done.

0:37:20 > 0:37:22APPLAUSE

0:37:22 > 0:37:26No, you did, Rochelle. Don't feel bad about anything. Len?

0:37:29 > 0:37:33you were certainly going to town! It was really going off out there.

0:37:33 > 0:37:35It was like a party popper.

0:37:35 > 0:37:39Bits were flying everywhere, and like all party poppers,

0:37:39 > 0:37:41it got a bit messy here and there,

0:37:41 > 0:37:44but you certainly came out and gave it a real go.

0:37:44 > 0:37:45Well done.

0:37:45 > 0:37:47Oh, yes, she did. She did.

0:37:49 > 0:37:50And Bruno?

0:37:50 > 0:37:53My darling, it was inebriating and full of spirit,

0:37:53 > 0:37:55like a good Christmas tipple.

0:37:55 > 0:37:58But as you know with the tipple, you got to be careful,

0:37:58 > 0:38:03- because sometimes you can get a little bit light-headed.- Craig?

0:38:03 > 0:38:07A little bit all over the toy shop, I'm afraid, darling.

0:38:07 > 0:38:12Smoother transitions, and that haphazard layout kick thing,

0:38:12 > 0:38:15Bruno and I were gasping, darling.

0:38:18 > 0:38:22But you went for it, and that's the good thing.

0:38:26 > 0:38:28She did go for it.

0:38:28 > 0:38:33Rochelle, that was lovely. Ian, take her away, and good luck.

0:38:50 > 0:38:53It was contagious. We were dancing with you.

0:38:53 > 0:38:56You're used to performing on stage with your bandmates.

0:38:56 > 0:39:01- What was it like performing in front of them?- Awful. I have to be honest.

0:39:01 > 0:39:04I feel like my security blanket's gone.

0:39:04 > 0:39:07I could see them there and I said to them before, Molly, don't look at me!

0:39:07 > 0:39:11- Please don't look at me!- The rest of The Saturdays, look away, look away.

0:39:11 > 0:39:15They didn't need to look away. You did yourself proud there, darling.

0:39:17 > 0:39:20Very brave for him considering I've not long had a baby.

0:40:03 > 0:40:06I wasn't expecting that at all. Minus eight, I thought I would get.

0:40:06 > 0:40:10Don't talk yourself out of it. A great score, well done.

0:40:10 > 0:40:13Santa Claus is coming to town, and he was loving that salsa.

0:40:13 > 0:40:16But did our audience think all their Christmases had come at once?

0:40:16 > 0:40:19We'll find out soon enough. She's so giddy! I love her.

0:40:19 > 0:40:21Who's next in your Christmas stocking, Bruce?

0:41:24 > 0:41:25and this year it's going to be great,

0:41:52 > 0:41:56- at the same time, it's quite tough. - Aliona is working me hard.

0:41:56 > 0:41:58A bit tighter.

0:41:58 > 0:42:00And as a teacher,

0:42:00 > 0:42:02I'm quite different depending on what kind of student I have.

0:42:18 > 0:42:22- And head up, and the eyes have got to stay up.- Your dad is right.

0:42:22 > 0:42:26I'm with him 100%. Back in the day, that wouldn't have happened.

0:44:36 > 0:44:38Oh, Matt, that was lovely.

0:44:38 > 0:44:40Wasn't that great?

0:44:40 > 0:44:43A bit of Vegas, that was.

0:44:43 > 0:44:46You should put that in your act in Vegas.

0:44:46 > 0:44:52I'm Aliona's agent, so have a word with me, OK? It was great. Len?

0:44:52 > 0:44:54That wasn't Matt, that was gloss.

0:44:56 > 0:44:59Suave and sophisticated.

0:44:59 > 0:45:02You lost your posture a little bit once you got into hold,

0:45:02 > 0:45:05but I thought you danced it nicely. Well done, Matt.

0:45:06 > 0:45:10Surprised, weren't you? Put it in Vegas. Bruno?

0:45:10 > 0:45:14Well, I loved the look of it. It was like Christmas at the Ritz.

0:45:14 > 0:45:18High class, high style, in high society.

0:45:18 > 0:45:21A bit like Gary Cooper meeting Marlene Dietrich

0:45:21 > 0:45:24and going for a spin. You know, things do happen.

0:45:24 > 0:45:27So suave, so debonair. You move very, very well.

0:45:27 > 0:45:32The frock, you can't help that, but I think you did very well.

0:45:32 > 0:45:34He wasn't wearing the frock!

0:45:34 > 0:45:38You can't blame him for that.

0:45:38 > 0:45:42- Right, Craig?- I thought the jumps needed ironing out a little bit.

0:45:42 > 0:45:46You were driving the pivots a little too hard.

0:45:46 > 0:45:50Your head needed lifting up. Your shoulders needed pulling back.

0:45:50 > 0:45:54All that aside, I thought the lifts were absolutely lovely,

0:45:54 > 0:45:58it was completely classy and beautifully elegant.

0:45:58 > 0:46:01Very classy. Yes.

0:46:04 > 0:46:05And Darcey, Darcey Bussell.

0:46:05 > 0:46:08Well, I love the dynamics you gave that American smooth.

0:46:08 > 0:46:10You reminded me of Fred Astaire

0:46:10 > 0:46:12and all you had to do is keep that charisma going

0:46:12 > 0:46:15and follow it through, maybe just with the chin,

0:46:15 > 0:46:17just to finish off those lines.

0:46:17 > 0:46:20But it was beautiful. It was a very yummy performance.

0:46:20 > 0:46:23When a dancer...when a singer dances,

0:46:23 > 0:46:25he really dances to the music.

0:46:25 > 0:46:27The style was spot-on. Beautiful.

0:46:27 > 0:46:30That's where you got the style into it, which was very noticeable.

0:46:30 > 0:46:31- It was great!- Thank you, Bruce!

0:46:31 > 0:46:34Aliona, you did a good job, off you go!

0:46:34 > 0:46:37CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:46:46 > 0:46:47What about that, then?

0:46:47 > 0:46:50Quite possibly the smoothest American smooth we've ever had.

0:46:50 > 0:46:53- A bit of old Hollywood glamour there, well done.- We were trying.

0:46:53 > 0:46:55- I'm sorry about treading on your frock.- It's OK.

0:46:55 > 0:46:59You are headlining in Vegas, aren't you, the show-biz capital of the world.

0:46:59 > 0:47:01How does our Strictly ballroom compare with that?

0:47:01 > 0:47:04It's so nerve-racking, I mean, I go out every night

0:47:04 > 0:47:07and a second before I go on stage I'm relaxed,

0:47:07 > 0:47:10but here, it really is such an institution in the UK,

0:47:10 > 0:47:12it's a very nerve-racking experience,

0:47:12 > 0:47:14but I really had a good time and Aliona is amazing.

0:47:14 > 0:47:17And we're way more glamorous than Vegas, obviously.

0:47:17 > 0:47:20And you're back in Britain. Is it nice to be home for the holidays?

0:47:20 > 0:47:22Yeah. I don't want to...I don't think I want to go home now.

0:47:22 > 0:47:25I like being home with my family so it's good to be back here, so...

0:47:25 > 0:47:27Well, it's lovely to have you back.

0:47:27 > 0:47:30Safe to say Craig's off your Christmas card list, right?

0:47:30 > 0:47:31Scores are in.

0:47:31 > 0:47:33Will the judges please

0:47:33 > 0:47:34reveal their scores?

0:47:48 > 0:47:49Oh, a very healthy score!

0:47:49 > 0:47:51And an 8 from Craig in the end. 35, well done.

0:47:51 > 0:47:53Did that pull your Christmas cracker?

0:47:53 > 0:47:56Well, it's up to our studio audience to decide who's been naughty

0:47:56 > 0:47:59and who's been nice, but thankfully, they're full of festive cheer.

0:47:59 > 0:48:00Aren't you, ladies and gents?

0:48:00 > 0:48:02AUDIENCE: Yes!

0:48:02 > 0:48:04Oh, it's just like panto!

0:48:04 > 0:48:06ALL: Oh, no, it isn't!

0:48:06 > 0:48:08Oh, yes, it is.

0:48:08 > 0:48:10Time now for the last dance of Christmas.

0:48:10 > 0:48:13Who's the fairy on top of our tree, Brucie?

0:48:13 > 0:48:19Our final Christmas couple is Rufus Hound and his partner Flavia Cacace!

0:48:19 > 0:48:22CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:48:22 > 0:48:25Lovely to have Flavia back, it really is.

0:48:25 > 0:48:27Now, for their routine,

0:48:27 > 0:48:32they're going to have two real-life huskies on the floor.

0:48:32 > 0:48:34AUDIENCE: Ooooh!

0:48:34 > 0:48:38No, they're ferocious dogs, so I've got them a bone to calm them down.

0:48:38 > 0:48:41And I've put it under Craig's chair.

0:48:41 > 0:48:43LAUGHTER

0:48:43 > 0:48:45Anyway, here's what they've been up to.

0:48:45 > 0:48:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:48:52 > 0:48:55Before treading the boards of London's West End,

0:48:55 > 0:48:58funnyman Rufus Hound first made his name as a comedian.

0:48:58 > 0:48:59- TELEVISION:- It's Rufus Hound!

0:48:59 > 0:49:04I suppose people at home will know me as that bloke with the moustache.

0:49:04 > 0:49:07I've done lots of sort of panel shows and things like that.

0:49:08 > 0:49:11My experience of Christmas from growing up was my dad actually

0:49:11 > 0:49:14wheeled the telly into the dining room

0:49:14 > 0:49:16and the telly had, like, pride of place,

0:49:16 > 0:49:20so when you're asked to be on the Strictly Christmas Special,

0:49:20 > 0:49:23there are a lot of, like, bells and whistles and fireworks

0:49:23 > 0:49:24that go off in your head, where you think,

0:49:24 > 0:49:27"I'm going to get to be a part of people's Christmas Day."

0:49:27 > 0:49:29Then, having agreed to do it,

0:49:29 > 0:49:32you've got to really make an effort not to muck it up.

0:49:34 > 0:49:37I'm dancing with Flavia Cacace.

0:49:37 > 0:49:40Cacaceei, Cacacea, Chu-chuk-a!

0:49:40 > 0:49:43I don't know how it's pronounced. I should ask her, really.

0:49:43 > 0:49:46I just call her Flavia. She's good, though. That much I do know.

0:49:50 > 0:49:53We're lucky enough to have some real huskies in our routine,

0:49:53 > 0:49:55which is a little bit scary.

0:49:55 > 0:49:57Release the dogs!

0:49:57 > 0:50:00'We just sort of said in the rehearsal room,'

0:50:00 > 0:50:02"Oh, and there'll be an igloo over there,

0:50:02 > 0:50:04"and then, there'll be two dogs."

0:50:04 > 0:50:06But we've been practising with these little friends.

0:50:06 > 0:50:08We have two doggies.

0:50:08 > 0:50:13Hello, huskies. The reins are off, or should I say, the leash is off.

0:50:13 > 0:50:17It's Rufus Hound, so the jokes are just endless.

0:50:17 > 0:50:20What do you think of it so far? Rubbish.

0:50:20 > 0:50:24I get the giggles and it takes me quite a while to settle back down.

0:50:24 > 0:50:26This only flashes when I'm in mortal peril.

0:50:26 > 0:50:29'As we all know, you never work with animals.'

0:50:29 > 0:50:31They also say you should never work with children,

0:50:31 > 0:50:33but it's too late - Flavia's already doing it.

0:50:38 > 0:50:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:50:40 > 0:50:44Dancing the tango, Rufus Hound and Flavia Cacace.

0:50:45 > 0:50:49MUSIC: "Never Do A Tango With An Eskimo"

0:52:48 > 0:52:50Oh, tantrums in the tundra!

0:52:52 > 0:52:53LAUGHTER

0:52:53 > 0:52:55I absolutely loved it.

0:52:55 > 0:52:58It was funny. It was perfectly pitched for the season.

0:52:58 > 0:53:02- A wonderful ending for a fantastic evening.- Thank you.

0:53:04 > 0:53:07That goes for both of you, it really does.

0:53:07 > 0:53:11By the way, Craig, did the dogs go for the bone? I don't think they did.

0:53:11 > 0:53:14It's just as well, because it was your old hipbone.

0:53:14 > 0:53:16LAUGHTER

0:53:16 > 0:53:19Lovely thought, that is.

0:53:19 > 0:53:23But I've got to say, that has to be one of the most abnormal,

0:53:23 > 0:53:29unusual and curious tangos I've ever had the pleasure to witness.

0:53:29 > 0:53:31CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:53:31 > 0:53:33And I've got to say, however strange

0:53:33 > 0:53:37and bizarrely odd and unconventional it was, I loved it!

0:53:37 > 0:53:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:53:42 > 0:53:44And what did you think, Darcey?

0:53:44 > 0:53:48Well, Rufus, I thought you were an unusually hot Eskimo, for me.

0:53:48 > 0:53:51ALL: Oooh!

0:53:51 > 0:53:53You melted everything for me, but...

0:53:53 > 0:53:54LAUGHTER

0:53:54 > 0:53:56Yeah, I mean, Craig's right,

0:53:56 > 0:53:59we've never seen such an entertaining ballroom tango.

0:53:59 > 0:54:03But it had drama and attack and I liked it very much.

0:54:03 > 0:54:05Well, thank you.

0:54:05 > 0:54:07CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:54:07 > 0:54:10- Now, Len.- I liked that little kick up the codpiece, that was...

0:54:10 > 0:54:12Listen, what it lacked in technique

0:54:12 > 0:54:14it made up for in entertainment.

0:54:14 > 0:54:18It was great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done!

0:54:18 > 0:54:22It really was. Well done, Flavia. What a partner you've got there.

0:54:22 > 0:54:24- Yeah!- Off you go!

0:54:24 > 0:54:25Off you go!

0:54:25 > 0:54:28CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:54:32 > 0:54:35THEY CHEER

0:54:35 > 0:54:37Great end to a great show,

0:54:37 > 0:54:40but it looks like you have sustained a dance injury.

0:54:40 > 0:54:42- What happened to you? - What happened to the head?

0:54:42 > 0:54:44- Oh, yeah, no, I have cut myself in the eye.- Yes!

0:54:44 > 0:54:47- I can't actually...- That wasn't me! - Don't worry, Tess,
