:05:38. > :05:42.looks like the first day of the world's most glamorous and sparkly

:05:43. > :05:45.school. So who will be top of the class? There's going to be no public

:05:46. > :05:49.vote this weekend but the judges will still be scoring. And their

:05:50. > :05:52.scores will be carried over into next week, when you'll have the

:05:53. > :05:57.chance to vote for your favourite. So let's get started and the task of

:05:58. > :06:02.opening the series goes to TV host Laura Whitmore and her partner

:06:03. > :06:17.Giovanni Pernice. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:06:18. > :06:22.For her first routine, Laura is performing a cha-cha to the classic

:06:23. > :06:29.song Venus, and she's hoping the judges go Bananaramas for it.

:06:30. > :06:33.Laura Whitmore has interviewed some of the biggest names in showbiz, but

:06:34. > :06:39.how will she cope on that Strictly dance for us Mark I'm excited, also

:06:40. > :06:46.extremely nervous. Thankfully I have a partner who will hopefully guide

:06:47. > :06:50.me. Giovanni. Giovanni is an Italian stallion and feisty, so I'm sure

:06:51. > :06:54.there'll be some fights. We'll be fine. I studied journalism but I

:06:55. > :06:59.also studied drama as well, so I think I need to find an alter ego to

:07:00. > :07:03.help me get into character. Dresses, make-up and the hair, that really

:07:04. > :07:11.helps, Laura out on that dance floor will be petrified. It is day one and

:07:12. > :07:18.I'm harder than I thought. I kind of feel like I'm in Fame. One. We need

:07:19. > :07:21.to what confident because she is sometimes thinking she can do some

:07:22. > :07:26.steps, but she's a good dancer. I need to get my head around this and

:07:27. > :07:31.get the confidence. I'm trying as hard as I can. The dance is going

:07:32. > :07:37.really well. But it's not good enough. What's wrong? What do I need

:07:38. > :07:45.to work on? Arms, you know. I'm not a dancer. My only experience in

:07:46. > :07:49.dances Irish dance. Can you show me Irish dance? I can try and teach

:07:50. > :07:53.you. Welcome to my classroom. Hold this behind your back, keep your

:07:54. > :08:03.arms straight. We having fun teaching him few one, two, threes.

:08:04. > :08:07.Irish dance, forgot about this. Now the fun is out of the way it's time

:08:08. > :08:11.to focus on the cha-cha-cha for our first show.

:08:12. > :08:13.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Dancing the cha-cha-cha, Laura

:08:14. > :10:12.Whitmore and Giovanni Pernice. She's definitely got it. You've got

:10:13. > :10:17.it all right, girl! What a superb start to the show, congratulations,

:10:18. > :10:22.Laura. And Giovanni, thank you. Get your breath back. Let's welcome our

:10:23. > :10:29.fabulous live singers, Hayley, Lance, Andrea and Tommy and of

:10:30. > :10:35.course Dave Arch. It must be so nerve wracking, being the first

:10:36. > :10:41.couple on the dance floor. Petrifying. Did you enjoy it? I saw

:10:42. > :10:46.Craig face and thought to smile and I thought, I can't. No smiling. Did

:10:47. > :10:53.you enjoy yourself? I really enjoyed it. Let's see if the judges enjoyed

:10:54. > :10:59.it as well. Len? What a lovely way to start off the show. So much fun,

:11:00. > :11:03.lovely amount of cha-cha content, which I appreciate. A nice lot of

:11:04. > :11:10.rhythm going. Unfortunately, near the end, you lost time on one little

:11:11. > :11:16.bit, which was... I know. It was only a little molecule of lost time.

:11:17. > :11:22.You've got to work on straightening your legs. Your legs are too flexed

:11:23. > :11:28.during it. But first day out, first class, well done.

:11:29. > :11:34.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE That's firing your Friday night,

:11:35. > :11:41.Bruno? Laura, carry on like this and I'll need a fire extinguisher! Well,

:11:42. > :11:47.the love goddess toying with the boy, you little tease. You can toy

:11:48. > :11:51.with me any time. This girl is a kicker, because you have wonderful

:11:52. > :11:56.musicality, you work the stage beautifully. You have a really

:11:57. > :12:00.sparkling presence, be careful on the foot placement because that will

:12:01. > :12:04.give you better hip action. And when you do your arms, you have this

:12:05. > :12:09.beautiful extensions, at the moment you through it a bit away. You can

:12:10. > :12:15.give it a little bit more in tension. It will be more effective,

:12:16. > :12:21.gorgeous. That's it. He likes it! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:12:22. > :12:24.Did you live it? The whole thing sadly was danced on flexed knees,

:12:25. > :12:28.which is not right. I'm only agreeing with Len here. Your

:12:29. > :12:33.shoulders were raising slightly every time you made a gesture

:12:34. > :12:39.forward. I thought the whole thing was a little bit unstable. I wasn't

:12:40. > :12:44.feeling confident throughout. Picky, picky, picky. I thought your turns

:12:45. > :12:49.were clean and efficient, darling. You looked good, darling.

:12:50. > :12:54.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Ending on a positive. Darcey? Laura,

:12:55. > :12:58.you were sweet and sassy from the beginning to the end. Only at the

:12:59. > :13:03.end did you lose character a little bit but suddenly, you go, oh my god,

:13:04. > :13:08.I'm on the dance floor, finally I'm here. For me, I enjoyed the upper

:13:09. > :13:11.body, you worked it really well. I have no problems with that. I am

:13:12. > :13:16.agreeing with the boys, the lower part of your body didn't work as

:13:17. > :13:19.well. You had bent knees all the way through but generally for your first

:13:20. > :13:27.dance, very good. Very good. A strong start. Constructive

:13:28. > :13:29.criticism. Well done, Laura. Go and relax. Laura and Giovanni, ladies

:13:30. > :13:42.and gentlemen. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:13:43. > :13:50.You were so nervous, you looked so nervous. I couldn't even feel my

:13:51. > :13:54.legs, I didn't know what they were doing! You they did great. It's

:13:55. > :13:58.terrifying going first but now you can spend two dace just sitting and

:13:59. > :14:03.pointing. Do you know what I love, your face. During the judges'

:14:04. > :14:08.comments you are like a keen schoolgirl, fine, even when Craig

:14:09. > :14:17.was like, you were like, I work on it. What how did she do? For a first

:14:18. > :14:22.dance she did really well. OK, the scores are in. Ladies and gentlemen,

:14:23. > :14:32.the judges have their scores. Craig Revel Horwood. Five. Darcey Bussell.

:14:33. > :14:42.Six. Len Goodman. Seven. And Bruno Tonioli. Seven.

:14:43. > :14:53.They are very happy. I wanted lend to say seven. That is the highest

:14:54. > :14:59.score of any couple so far this series. -- Len. Still to come, Judge

:15:00. > :15:10.Rinder does the cha-cha. Our next couple as BBC breakfast

:15:11. > :15:19.presenter Naga Munchetty and her partner, Pasha Kovalev. This won't

:15:20. > :15:23.be the first time Naga has been on our screens today commit she was

:15:24. > :15:27.presenting Breakfast nearly 15 hours ago. She is about to dance waltz to

:15:28. > :15:44.the song, Run To You. . Naga Munchetty's first Strictly

:15:45. > :15:51.experience. I did not feel anywhere but on planet Strictly. When Pasha's

:15:52. > :15:55.name was announced, I did not know what to do. He went down on one

:15:56. > :16:00.knee, shove me on there, and I thought, we really going to work.

:16:01. > :16:04.She is so focused. She wants to do so well. Perfect for the lack of

:16:05. > :16:10.what I like. My only advice would be, listen to me. I usually dressed

:16:11. > :16:15.in jeans, trainers, a sloppy top. I have embraced the glitter and

:16:16. > :16:21.sequins. I never thought I would look so ladylike. I am loving it.

:16:22. > :16:27.First morning, really excited. I just hope Pasha is ready for what he

:16:28. > :16:33.has to deal with. The first dance we will be dancing is the waltz. This

:16:34. > :16:38.is the dance I was dreading. That's me being elegant. You will love the

:16:39. > :16:49.waltz. You will see there is nothing to be afraid. Pasha a very patient

:16:50. > :16:55.teacher. Be like a swan. For nag, it is a little challenging. I think I

:16:56. > :17:05.was right to be worried about being elegant -- Naga. I'm trying not to

:17:06. > :17:10.tread on Pasha's toes. I am getting more ladylike. There is less tomboy.

:17:11. > :17:14.Hopefully we will deliver the goods on the night.

:17:15. > :17:24.Dancing the waltz, Naga Munchetty and Pasha Kovalev.

:17:25. > :19:09.How about that! Well done, lovely lady! Breakfast this morning,

:19:10. > :19:14.ballroom this evening. I know you were nervous, a little bit, about

:19:15. > :19:23.doing the waltz. How do you feel now it is done? Relieved. I loved it.

:19:24. > :19:27.Amazing. The waltz is amazing. You weren't bad yourself! Bruno, she was

:19:28. > :19:33.worried about the elegance. I tell you, no worries there. You started

:19:34. > :19:39.off cereal, lyrical, elegant. You are such a beautiful girl. You have

:19:40. > :19:44.a natural poise for ballroom. Something went horribly wrong in the

:19:45. > :19:52.middle. You went on the wrong foot. What happened? You got it together.

:19:53. > :20:01.You got it together by the end. On the last Dragon, be very careful. If

:20:02. > :20:06.you drag, drag well. -- drag. I can give you a few tips. Nothing to

:20:07. > :20:16.worry about. You are a beautiful, elegant lady. He is right. Craig...

:20:17. > :20:20.Thank you for that vote of confidence. I thought your jawline

:20:21. > :20:24.could be slightly higher. I am talking millimetres. It did lack

:20:25. > :20:28.throw. That was largely due to your rise and fall which was bumpy and

:20:29. > :20:35.that incident halfway through did not lend itself to anything

:20:36. > :20:38.beautiful, I am afraid. You do have a wonderful, wonderful potential I

:20:39. > :20:50.think in this competition and that is great to see. Naga has never

:20:51. > :20:54.danced before, how did she do? The quality was serene. That is so hard.

:20:55. > :21:02.I know you are shaking like this from beginning to end. I am aware of

:21:03. > :21:07.that. You have such a beautiful neck, I cannot tell you. One of the

:21:08. > :21:14.best attributes you have in your top lines. You have got to use it. You

:21:15. > :21:20.showed it off. It is just the shoulders come up. If you can drag

:21:21. > :21:25.them down, it will be so perfect for all your ballroom dancers. You will

:21:26. > :21:32.look stunning. Don't worry. Don't worry about the transitions. You are

:21:33. > :21:37.doing really well. The waltz requires great control. Any little

:21:38. > :21:41.mistake is magnified. In the cha-cha-cha, you can give a wink and

:21:42. > :21:47.shake your bum and no one notices anything. You did a step called the

:21:48. > :21:50.wing and you did one step too many, which messed you a bit. Then the

:21:51. > :21:57.double reverse turn which was a bit of a fumble. What I loved was the

:21:58. > :22:06.potential and the elegance. Well done to you. You pulled off the

:22:07. > :22:13.elegance. Glowing comments, all things considered. Off you go. Well

:22:14. > :22:18.done! Run to Claudia. Naga and Pasha.

:22:19. > :22:28.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE You dig great! Your parents are in

:22:29. > :22:36.the audience. I wish you had seen their faces. Very, very well done.

:22:37. > :22:44.Let's see your schools. The scores are in. The judges schools are in.

:22:45. > :22:58.Craig Revel Horwood. Darcey Bussell. Len Goodman. Bruno Tonioli. Good

:22:59. > :23:01.schools. A very good start. Beautiful, elegant, wonderful

:23:02. > :23:07.potential. You are getting on brilliantly. Excellent. If you

:23:08. > :23:11.enjoyed that waltz, don't go to your phones yet.

:23:12. > :23:28.Our next couple it's Judge Windsor -- is Judge render and his partner,

:23:29. > :23:29.Oksana Platero. They are going to do the cha-cha live in front of the

:23:30. > :23:39.nation. Judge Rinder is dedicated to

:23:40. > :23:48.bringing justice to the court room. What can we expect him on the

:23:49. > :23:54.Strictly dance floor? 150%. When people say 150%, it is utterly

:23:55. > :24:01.absurd. 100%. I feel nervous but quietly confident. I have the most

:24:02. > :24:05.beautiful and brilliant teacher in Astana -- Oksana. I am Ukrainian

:24:06. > :24:11.champion as well as American champion. She would be an absolute

:24:12. > :24:18.taskmaster and I'm thrilled. Robert needs to be careful what he wishes

:24:19. > :24:24.for. Oh, boy, just wait! Not being in charge is an entirely new

:24:25. > :24:28.experience for me. This is my space. Oksana has most things under

:24:29. > :24:35.control. Are there any words in Russian you think I should

:24:36. > :24:40.definitely know straightaway? What does that mean? Again, again, and

:24:41. > :24:44.many more times a game. How do you handle things in the court room? I

:24:45. > :24:51.taught Oksana Basic way of telling another person to be quiet. And she

:24:52. > :24:59.is doing it all the time. I have actually created a monster. It is

:25:00. > :25:05.exhausting. Put some order in your foot. He has a really good hip

:25:06. > :25:11.action. His problem is he is over thinking. Now you are overthinking

:25:12. > :25:12.it. I have to trust my body and a bay Oksana's command and then

:25:13. > :25:28.everything will be fine. -- dancing the cha-cha-cha, Judge

:25:29. > :25:32.Rinder and Oksana Platero. Order in the ballroom.

:25:33. > :27:47.Talking. Watson says schlock choreography! Sheer perfection. How

:27:48. > :27:55.are you feeling about being judged? -- what sensational choreography!

:27:56. > :28:01.Guess who is first? Craig. What a thrill! Hello, Craig. It certainly

:28:02. > :28:08.was frenetic. And that they shall expressions. It looked like you had

:28:09. > :28:17.had excessive collagen procedures done. The open mouth at trout pout.

:28:18. > :28:22.You really need to look at that. The good thing is, it used to have read

:28:23. > :28:30.them. I looking forward to seeing that once again. -- you do have read

:28:31. > :28:39.them. Thank you for replicating the turns. I thought you did that with

:28:40. > :28:48.reckless abandon. What is your verdict? It was extraordinary. That

:28:49. > :28:53.was the wildest surprise I think I have ever had. The amount of detail

:28:54. > :29:05.you are able to add as well. It was outstanding. As Craig said, I can't

:29:06. > :29:17.get out of my mind how you look like Craig when you did that. We do look

:29:18. > :29:25.a little alike. I can smile. You put the boy in flamboyant. You really

:29:26. > :29:33.do. A bit wild in places. If entertainment is a crime, you are

:29:34. > :29:40.guilty. It is your turn to judge. I think the jury is hung. A face like

:29:41. > :29:44.this requires serious scrutiny. I love the extraordinary flamboyant

:29:45. > :29:53.style. Those looks could sink a thousand ships. It was done with

:29:54. > :30:01.great gusto and personality. You get my vote. Outstanding abandon. You

:30:02. > :30:04.got all of our boats. We loved it. Off you go. A debrief from Claudia.

:30:05. > :30:20.-- votes. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:30:21. > :30:26.Very, very well done. I have to tell you, your fellow dancers, Tameka

:30:27. > :30:31.might be your biggest fan! Here here. You did great. Darcey said it

:30:32. > :30:36.was a world of surprise, because we didn't know you are going to do

:30:37. > :30:41.that. I didn't, I just listened to her. Congratulations, your first

:30:42. > :30:45.Strictly, magnificent. It always helps when there is a moderate

:30:46. > :30:51.degree of threat will stop yes, doesn't it just. The scores are in.

:30:52. > :30:58.All the judges please reveal their scores. Craig Revel Horwood. Six.

:30:59. > :31:10.Darcey Bussell. A wild seven. Len Goodman. Six. And Bruno Tonioli.

:31:11. > :31:15.Six. You are top of the Leader Board, you'll take that. For sure.

:31:16. > :31:19.That's the highest score Craig has given this evening. Very nice. If

:31:20. > :31:24.you'd like to vote for Judge Rinder and Oksana, you can when the lines

:31:25. > :31:28.open next week. Very well done. Tess.

:31:29. > :31:34.Damn thing next this actress Lesley Joseph and her partner, Anton du

:31:35. > :31:38.Beke. -- dancing next. Like all of our contestants, Leslie is a bit

:31:39. > :31:44.nervous about dancing live in front of millions of people. Last year's

:31:45. > :31:49.finalist Anton is a partner, who's to say this bird of a feather won't

:31:50. > :31:53.get off to a flying start? Birds of a feather flock together but actors

:31:54. > :31:59.Lesley Joseph will be hoping to find her own wings in the ballroom. I've

:32:00. > :32:02.been into Strictly where everything is Majid Khan sparkles and glitter,

:32:03. > :32:05.the whole experience is a bit surreal. I keep having to pinch my

:32:06. > :32:11.self and say yes, you are in Strictly. I wanted Anton because I

:32:12. > :32:17.love him. He's a Strictly legend. Lesley Joseph, Merry Christmas to

:32:18. > :32:23.me. Got the one I wanted! He'll have to have the patience of a saint.

:32:24. > :32:27.He'll have to help me a lot. All I want from Leslie is her enthusiasm

:32:28. > :32:32.and personality and the rest, we will create. I'm thinking with my

:32:33. > :32:36.training that I'm the age I am so I can only do within my limitations.

:32:37. > :32:43.If you see my hand doing this you know I'm a bit nervous. Hello. I'm

:32:44. > :32:48.here! Day one of waltz training and Anton is about to reveal the

:32:49. > :32:54.surprise song they'll dance to. It's called What'll I do? It's the theme

:32:55. > :32:59.from birds of a feather. I've never heard of it in my life. It's like

:33:00. > :33:04.marrying two programmes together, it will give me courage. I thought the

:33:05. > :33:08.waltz was easy, it isn't. I've got little legs and Anton is taller than

:33:09. > :33:12.me so I have to stride out quite a lot to keep up with him. Look right

:33:13. > :33:18.when he tells me. Keep leaning to the left. But my head over there.

:33:19. > :33:23.We're getting there. I'm exhausted, look at me, I'm dripping. I'm loving

:33:24. > :33:26.it. It's not been easy and I hope on the night I can do this wonderful

:33:27. > :33:28.song and my rather wonderful dance partner Anton Justice. Fingers

:33:29. > :33:34.crossed. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:33:35. > :33:40.Dancing the waltz, Lesley Joseph and Anton du Beke.

:33:41. > :35:35.Lovely! Lovely. Waltzing in the arms of Anton du Beke. Is that a dream

:35:36. > :35:41.come true? It is slightly. Nerves. That's what I do when I'm nervous.

:35:42. > :35:45.That's true. You can do it now. Let's go to the judges. Darcey.

:35:46. > :35:52.Sophisticated, romantic, elegant. And Anton, your dream, I have to

:35:53. > :36:01.say, great control throughout. Just watch you don't get lost in Anton's

:36:02. > :36:05.chest, yes? I understand! I think with the nerves and everything, the

:36:06. > :36:09.shoulders are very high. Don't worry, when you get this dance out

:36:10. > :36:13.of the way, tick the box, come back, relax, put the shoulders down,

:36:14. > :36:19.you'll be gorgeous. CHEERING

:36:20. > :36:27.Learn, you are traditional kind of guy, did you enjoy it? -- Len? I

:36:28. > :36:31.did, I like to see elegant and sophisticated ladies, as I got with

:36:32. > :36:35.Leslie. Very clean, precise footwork. Darcey is right, your

:36:36. > :36:39.posture is a little bit high but I tell you, you're a lovely lady and I

:36:40. > :36:42.saw you danced that beautifully. Well done.

:36:43. > :36:48.CHEERING Bruno. That was lovely, my darling.

:36:49. > :36:53.Actually I found it very touching and almost moving. It was so well

:36:54. > :36:59.felt, you really acted it very nicely. Yes, of course, shoulder and

:37:00. > :37:04.neck line, maybe press your pelvis against this, you can lean back,

:37:05. > :37:11.don't get stuck in the rug, darling, keep well away. It was lovely, it

:37:12. > :37:14.was lovely. Thank you, Bruno. Craig? I thought your posture is your

:37:15. > :37:18.biggest concern and it really let you down. You lost your footing

:37:19. > :37:22.towards the end as well. Anton was actually dragging you were around

:37:23. > :37:27.for a moment, but I thought you did dance it with ease and some sort of

:37:28. > :37:29.delicious flow, so there is an up point.

:37:30. > :37:35.APPLAUSE Can you work on your posture? I can.

:37:36. > :37:39.It's only weak one, after all. Off you go, Lesley and Anton.

:37:40. > :37:54.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Well done. Do you know what, I was

:37:55. > :37:58.looking at you and I thought, this must be quite emotional. I know

:37:59. > :38:02.Linda is here. Linda is here, it is quite emotional. I've lived with

:38:03. > :38:06.that song for 25 years. It's part of my life. Bringing it to life in a

:38:07. > :38:11.very different weight has been absolutely glorious. And you are

:38:12. > :38:19.with the king. I'm with the King, the legend. Off my chest, love. The

:38:20. > :38:29.scores are in. The scores are in, Craig Revel Horwood. Five. Darcey

:38:30. > :38:39.Bussell. Six. Len Goodman. Six. Bruno Tonioli. Six. 23. That's OK.

:38:40. > :38:41.We'll take that. Remember all the schools from this weekend will be

:38:42. > :38:46.carried over to next week's show, when you can vote for your

:38:47. > :38:50.favourite. Somebody just went, what? Those are the rules. If you love

:38:51. > :38:53.these two then do it then. Still to come, Greg Rutherford starts his

:38:54. > :38:57.routine with a jump. We're just hoping he doesn't end up in the car

:38:58. > :39:01.park. Tess. Our next couple is BBC sports

:39:02. > :39:09.presenter Ore Oduba and his partner Joanne Clifton. They are about to

:39:10. > :39:13.perform the first tango of the series. So will Len, would you

:39:14. > :39:19.remind is what you should be looking for? Flexed knees, sharp and crisp

:39:20. > :39:24.movement, drama, a bit of passion. Not exactly the last Tango in Paris,

:39:25. > :39:30.but it's definitely the first tango in Elstree. I'm looking forward to

:39:31. > :39:36.it. Come on. So am I, we all. Thank you, Len, let's see how they got on

:39:37. > :39:40.in training. TV presenter Ore Oduba usually cuts are cool, calm and

:39:41. > :39:45.collected figure in front of the camera. Until Strictly came along.

:39:46. > :39:49.Oh, my goodness me. I've been dreaming of this moment since as

:39:50. > :39:52.long as I can remember. Until you have your partner the Strictly

:39:53. > :39:59.journey doesn't really start and then finally Tess says, Joanne

:40:00. > :40:03.Clifton. Boom! I was so excited, I looked at him, we started doing this

:40:04. > :40:08.robot. I was like yes, this is a perfect partner for me. I'm going to

:40:09. > :40:11.throw myself into this and I want to be the best dancer I possibly can

:40:12. > :40:16.be. It might be a really bad dancer, but I'm so looking forward to

:40:17. > :40:20.finding out. Well, Ore, wait no longer, you've got a date with the

:40:21. > :40:28.tango. I've got a really good feeling about this. I think it's

:40:29. > :40:31.gone quite well. What can I do to push you even more? If there is one

:40:32. > :40:37.person who knows me even better than myself it's my wife, it could be

:40:38. > :40:43.her. Meet my wife. I've got so many questions. I'll tell you everything.

:40:44. > :40:48.Who inspires him? There's only one man, David Beckham. He is obsessed.

:40:49. > :40:53.What could I do to him if he keeps getting his steps wrong? He's got a

:40:54. > :40:58.phobia of birds. You go Ore, I'm going to bring a bird into training.

:40:59. > :41:04.Has training been going well? Can I see a little bit? Of course you can.

:41:05. > :41:09.I thought it was important for my dance partner to meet my wife. It

:41:10. > :41:14.was so lovely meeting Joanne, she's amazing. Whoever said three of the

:41:15. > :41:23.crowd got it completely wrong. Together, we are fantastic team.

:41:24. > :41:32.Dancing the tango, Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton.

:41:33. > :43:18.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Oh my goodness! Come on over. Come

:43:19. > :43:23.on. A very confident start Ore. That looked like a walk in the park for

:43:24. > :43:27.you. It was anything but that. Really? I had to apologise to the

:43:28. > :43:32.gentleman in the front row, I got in the eyes with the sunglasses. Sorry

:43:33. > :43:36.about that. Dancing casualty. Let's talk to Len. He wanted drama and

:43:37. > :43:44.casualty, did you get what you are looking for? The drama was I never

:43:45. > :43:48.thought it was going to started. BREWING. It's the tango, they are

:43:49. > :43:52.larking about on a beach, lovey-dovey, the tango is thunder

:43:53. > :43:56.and lightning. It's not lollipops and Roses, so I didn't get that side

:43:57. > :44:00.of it. Once you got cracking it was to rethink -- terrific. I forgive

:44:01. > :44:05.poor dances for larking about because you've got to fill it up.

:44:06. > :44:08.You're a good dancer. I want to see a full routine.

:44:09. > :44:14.APPLAUSE He means well. Bruno question mark I

:44:15. > :44:20.liked it a lot, I like a tango with a cheeky spin. It was original,

:44:21. > :44:24.fresh, effective, it allowed you to act two different roles, the nerd

:44:25. > :44:28.and the controller. You did it very well. You're a good dancer. I loved

:44:29. > :44:32.seeing something I haven't seen before. So thank you for that.

:44:33. > :44:37.APPLAUSE Made Bruno happy. Have you made

:44:38. > :44:42.Craig happy? I loved the story telling, at the beginning, it set up

:44:43. > :44:50.the tango. It was strong, dramatic, punctuated, well done.

:44:51. > :44:59.The most positive Craig has been all night. That is an achievement. I was

:45:00. > :45:04.not expecting that. The attack, the strength. You kept your focus from

:45:05. > :45:11.beginning to end. You have so much potential. I cannot wait to see

:45:12. > :45:17.more. He made it look easy. Good job!

:45:18. > :45:32.Oh, my goodness me! Can I just confirmed that three weeks ago you

:45:33. > :45:38.could not hear the theme chain without crying. Hiding underneath

:45:39. > :45:45.the sofa and then you go and do that. She is the most incredible

:45:46. > :45:52.coach. I did not know what the tango was. They put in bikes, a bench,

:45:53. > :45:59.high kicks, cartwheels. Bruno said original and fresh. That is down to

:46:00. > :46:07.the great choreography. The judges have their scores. Craig Revel

:46:08. > :46:20.Horwood. Seven. Darcey Bussell. Seven. Len Goodman. Six. And Bruno

:46:21. > :46:25.Tonioli. Seven. Are you proud? I am so proud of him. He did so well. The

:46:26. > :46:34.bit at the beginning, that was my fault. Nothing to do with you. I

:46:35. > :46:39.loved geek chic. I am loving it! Lollipops and Roses, that is his

:46:40. > :46:43.tango. If you do not want them to leave the competition, vote for them

:46:44. > :46:48.next week. It is two nights of Strictly back-to-back. You can fill

:46:49. > :46:53.your days with Facebook, Twitter, or you can visit the website for all

:46:54. > :46:59.the best backstage gossip. Like how you do not like birds. If you ever

:47:00. > :47:07.want him to do something, you just get this. OK. Thank you for that.

:47:08. > :47:16.Our final couple dancing tonight is Greg Rutherford and his partner,

:47:17. > :47:21.Natalie Lowe. In the launch show, Greg said the dance he was most

:47:22. > :47:33.looking forward to was the drive. It is his first dance. He did not have

:47:34. > :47:36.to wait berry long. -- the jove. Olympic gold medallist Greg

:47:37. > :47:42.Rutherford has long jump his way round sandpits of the world. I was

:47:43. > :47:48.so nervous on launch night that I forgot to invite anybody. You are

:47:49. > :47:54.nervous, aren't you? Really bad. It is Natalie. I have not had a new

:47:55. > :48:00.coach for a long while. I'm excited. I am really happy. If I could do a

:48:01. > :48:06.black that is a backflip, I would. I want to learn. I want to dance. If

:48:07. > :48:10.Greg thinks training for the Olympics is hard, he has not

:48:11. > :48:18.experienced anything yet. This is easy. With jive training well under

:48:19. > :48:25.way, Natalie is hardly jumping for joy. Everything I am getting great

:48:26. > :48:29.to do is unnatural. He is used to having the steps and the turning in

:48:30. > :48:36.the opposite direction. I am trying to retrain your feet. What I feel

:48:37. > :48:41.might help is if you can watch me do what I do. If you come along to the

:48:42. > :48:46.competition rate you can see it first hand. I am about to see great

:48:47. > :48:52.jump for the first time and I feel like a proud mother. It is

:48:53. > :48:56.ridiculous. Natalie has decided to show me where my feet should be as

:48:57. > :49:06.opposed to what I have been doing in the long jump. This feels horrible.

:49:07. > :49:11.It is a massive bonus and benefits for Natalie to see what I do. As

:49:12. > :49:19.long as I remember to point my toes, it should be all right the night.

:49:20. > :49:23.Greg Rutherford and Natalie Lowe, dancing the jive.

:49:24. > :51:17.Yes! How about that? Goodness me. There on their feet. That was a

:51:18. > :51:23.speedy jive. Not bad for a total novice. I is starting to feel a bit

:51:24. > :51:30.like a dancer now? More of a prompt said. We loved your sexy jive face,

:51:31. > :51:41.by the way. Get ready and hear your comments. Go, Bruno! By the way it

:51:42. > :51:46.looks, Greg could go all the way, my darling. That is what I mean by

:51:47. > :51:52.giving it well you. You went for it. I loved it. It was not exactly the

:51:53. > :51:57.paragon of precision but I am telling you you have talent and you

:51:58. > :52:07.can dance. You are an amazing presence. I really love watching

:52:08. > :52:14.you. Well done! He has been focusing on his footwork. It was very

:52:15. > :52:21.flat-footed and Stompie. You are pigeon toed, which is not help. Your

:52:22. > :52:26.feet and arm placement needs sorting out. It need to do something with

:52:27. > :52:38.it. I enjoyed it enormously. I really did. Thank you. Did you enjoy

:52:39. > :52:43.it? I certainly did. You are built to jive, without fail. You are like

:52:44. > :52:54.a blue frog jumping up. How did you get that high? But, the rhythm. Your

:52:55. > :53:04.energy. Your light on your feet. For a big guy, that is brilliant. You

:53:05. > :53:09.will go far. Thank you. That's amazing. Final dance of the night,

:53:10. > :53:15.was it a show stopper? It was as good as we have seen tonight, at

:53:16. > :53:20.100%. You are the dynamic duo. For a bloke who spends his time laughing

:53:21. > :53:26.about jumping in a sandpit, you came out there. You gave it for alarm,

:53:27. > :53:30.great attack. Those kicks at the beginning were fabulous. It got a

:53:31. > :53:35.bit loose at the end. Craig is right. You're free arm is awkward.

:53:36. > :53:44.You are a really good dancer and I'm looking forward to seeing you.

:53:45. > :53:49.Jumping for joy after that. Off you go, the Claudia. Well done. Greg and

:53:50. > :54:05.Natalie. Thank you. Thank you. I love

:54:06. > :54:10.Natalie. She went, that just happened. You have never danced

:54:11. > :54:16.before in your life. All the time, you have said, I would just stand.

:54:17. > :54:21.You loved it. That was out of this world. As soon as the music starts

:54:22. > :54:25.going, get over the nerves. Go down the stairs and incredible. I have

:54:26. > :54:31.the most incredible teacher. We fitted so much into that routine. I

:54:32. > :54:37.really loved it. Well done, Natalie. The scores are in. Ladies and

:54:38. > :54:45.gentlemen, the judges scores are in. Craig Revel Horwood. Six. Darcey

:54:46. > :54:55.Bussell. Seven. Len Goodman. Seven. Bruno Tonioli. Seven. You are joint

:54:56. > :54:59.top of the leaderboard. Joint top. Well done! And very good spray tan

:55:00. > :55:09.by the way from welcome to strip the come dancing. -- Strictly Come

:55:10. > :55:14.Dancing. If you would like to vote for them, wait until the lines open

:55:15. > :55:23.next week. The race to lift the glitter ball has begun. Talk to me.

:55:24. > :55:29.Let's have a look at how things stand on the leaderboard. At the

:55:30. > :55:41.top, an early hit with the judges. Arienne JoAnn and Greg and Natalie.

:55:42. > :55:46.-- Ore and Joanne. The leaderboard will change tomorrow when the

:55:47. > :55:51.remaining nine stars braved the dance floor for the first time I

:55:52. > :55:58.know they are nervous. A good question. Let's see your hands.

:55:59. > :56:05.Louise, you have the jive tomorrow. Greg just did a brilliant one. Does

:56:06. > :56:12.that make it worse? Yes. I am so sorry I brought it up. Tameka, give

:56:13. > :56:22.us a flavour of your Paso. That is my girl. You are dancing to Elvis.

:56:23. > :56:27.How is your tummy feeling? Are you confident you will smash it? They

:56:28. > :56:33.were so brilliant tonight. It is a real challenge for us. We will give

:56:34. > :56:37.it a try. They have been working so hard on their routines. Tomorrow

:56:38. > :56:44.night, our remaining nine couples will put their training to the test.

:56:45. > :56:49.Kevin likes to start off in fifth gear. No one again he says, let's

:56:50. > :56:59.get to sixth gear. I had never seen anyone so energetic. I feel weird. I

:57:00. > :57:06.always knew ballroom dancing would be a challenge. My brain is not

:57:07. > :57:11.working. I really panicked. It is so hard. I'm worried I might be pushing

:57:12. > :57:23.it too far. I did not know this much fun could hurt so much. I am full of

:57:24. > :57:28.excitement now. It is all dramatic. It is really exciting. I showed him

:57:29. > :57:42.a few flips and stuff to do. Just truck that in! -- just chuck that

:57:43. > :57:48.in. Definitely a lot of mind work and foot work. It is the first

:57:49. > :57:57.dance, people. I'm still optimistic that I will get it. I am a

:57:58. > :58:03.perfectionist. I had to let that go. I will not get it in five minutes.

:58:04. > :58:06.The clock is ticking. A less than 24-hour scrap our remaining nine

:58:07. > :58:15.couples will take to the floor. Will any of them be good enough to knock

:58:16. > :58:29.the leaders of the leaderboard? Tameka, Louise, Melvin, Danny.

:58:30. > :58:35.Daisy, Claudia, Anastacia, and Will. You are not allowed to have second

:58:36. > :58:39.thoughts. We know where you live. We will be back tomorrow night with one

:58:40. > :58:44.of the most ambitious and spectacular group dances ever. One

:58:45. > :58:50.of our celibate is will attempt a backflip in high heels. Good luck!

:58:51. > :59:05.That is at 6:30 p.m.. We will see you then. Until then, keep dancing!

:59:06. > :59:07.Got some of the real legends of Strictly here.

:59:08. > :59:10.Welcome to this Strictly edition of Pointless Celebrities.

:59:11. > :59:11.Got some of the real legends of Strictly here.

:59:12. > :59:14.We've also Anton du Beke. LAUGHTER

:59:15. > :59:17.What's it going to take for you to win? It's not me.
