0:00:08 > 0:00:14kicked off the competition. What a lovely way to start the show! There

0:00:15 > 0:00:18were passionate performances. You need a fire extinguisher! Promising

0:00:19 > 0:00:27starts. You have so much potential, I can't wait to see more. And

0:00:28 > 0:00:31sizzling routines. Gorgeous! Tonight... Nine more celebrities

0:00:32 > 0:00:40will take to the floor. They have trained for weeks. But is it enough?

0:00:41 > 0:00:48Who will get off to a flying start? And who will run out of steam? No! I

0:00:49 > 0:00:59don't like it. Is that the best you have got? This is Strictly Come

0:01:00 > 0:01:46Dancing, live! This is ridiculous! That's a wrap!

0:01:47 > 0:04:48Live from the BBC, please welcome your hosts, Tess Daly!

0:04:59 > 0:05:03CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Hello and welcome to Strictly Come Dancing.

0:05:04 > 0:05:05What a breathtaking performance from all our incredible dancers.

0:05:06 > 0:05:10Absolutely. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Thank you to

0:05:11 > 0:05:16everyone who took part in that routine. Of course, the judges, the

0:05:17 > 0:05:20London choir and our dancers from across the UK, Roger and Glenda,

0:05:21 > 0:05:27Malcolm and Yvonne, Little Louie, Mike and Carol... I know you want to

0:05:28 > 0:05:31thank everybody individually but we have only got an hour and a half! I

0:05:32 > 0:05:36will find you afterwards! Last night, six couples braved the

0:05:37 > 0:05:40ballroom for the first time. We saw amazing routines including that

0:05:41 > 0:05:45cha-cha from Judge Rinder, it would be a crime to miss it! Over the past

0:05:46 > 0:05:48three weeks, the celebrities have been locked away in a training room

0:05:49 > 0:05:52perfecting their routines and they have done nothing but eat, sleep and

0:05:53 > 0:05:57breathe dams. So we thought we would give them a night off, I am kidding.

0:05:58 > 0:06:02Tonight, the remaining nine couples perform live for the first time on

0:06:03 > 0:06:05the stands for. And they will also be trying to impress four very

0:06:06 > 0:06:11important people. Please welcome the judges!

0:06:12 > 0:06:16CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.

0:06:17 > 0:06:27And Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood.

0:06:28 > 0:06:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. The judges, everyone! Still got it!

0:06:39 > 0:06:43CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. But have this year's celebrities got

0:06:44 > 0:06:47what it takes? We are about to find out, they are ready, raring to go,

0:06:48 > 0:06:55it is time to meet... Our Strictly stars! TV presenter and

0:06:56 > 0:07:05Zinger Louise Redknapp and her partner Kevin Clifton. Judge Rinder

0:07:06 > 0:07:09and his partner Oksana Platero. Lesley Joseph and partner Anton Jay

0:07:10 > 0:07:18Beck. TV presenter Melvin Odoom and his partner Janette Manrara.

0:07:19 > 0:07:24Claudia Fragapane and AJ Pritchard. Ore Oduba and Joanne Clifton. Model

0:07:25 > 0:07:28Daisy Lowe and have partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

0:07:29 > 0:07:33Actor and pop star Will Young and partner Karen Clifton.

0:07:34 > 0:07:42From BBC Breakfast Naga Munchetty and her partner Pasha Kovalev.

0:07:43 > 0:07:48Greg Rutherford and Natalie Lowe. Gorka Marquez and EastEnders star

0:07:49 > 0:07:52Tameka Empson. Each June -- Ed Balls and is partner

0:07:53 > 0:08:04Katya Jones. Giovanni Pernice and Laura Whitmore.

0:08:05 > 0:08:13Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse. And finally Zinger Anastascia and

0:08:14 > 0:08:23her partner Brendan Cole. -- Zinger. Don't they look glorious?

0:08:24 > 0:08:26And to think, one of them will be lifting the glitterball in three

0:08:27 > 0:08:31months' time. Let's concentrate on getting through the next 90 minutes.

0:08:32 > 0:08:35Baby steps. Just like last night, there is no public vote and no

0:08:36 > 0:08:38couple will leave the competition this weekend. But the pressure is

0:08:39 > 0:08:41still on because the judges will score the routines and as always

0:08:42 > 0:08:45they will be watching very carefully. Both schools will be

0:08:46 > 0:08:49carried over and added the next week's scores. That is when you will

0:08:50 > 0:08:54get your chance to cast a vote and one couple will leave the

0:08:55 > 0:08:59competition. But nobody is leaving tonight, so that the dancing begin!

0:09:00 > 0:09:05CHEERING AND APPLAUSE! First to perform is TV presenter Anne Zinger

0:09:06 > 0:09:12Louise Redknapp and her partner Kevin Clifton. They are doing a Jive

0:09:13 > 0:09:17and in this routine, Louise is waiting for her sailor Kevin to

0:09:18 > 0:09:24return from the sea. This could be nautical, but nice!

0:09:25 > 0:09:27Having gone from megastar to make the mother, Louise Redknapp is

0:09:28 > 0:09:34managing expectations. I am worried I will not get through it, I am not

0:09:35 > 0:09:40as fit as 20 years ago. Kevin! Louise thinks she has danced in the

0:09:41 > 0:09:47past. I have seen some of her videos and she hasn't! Kevin has made it to

0:09:48 > 0:09:51the final three years in a row! Help! I love dancing and performing

0:09:52 > 0:09:56and I will do my best to give Strictly all I have got. Feeling

0:09:57 > 0:10:06just kind of apprehensive and nervous. So here I go. High! The

0:10:07 > 0:10:12stands is to divide macro. Jive, OK! The story of our dance, it is 1940s,

0:10:13 > 0:10:17I am in the Navy. Because I want to get into the character of our dance,

0:10:18 > 0:10:22I have organised a surprise. OK. I have brought Louise to the

0:10:23 > 0:10:26Portsmouth historic dockyard and we will dance on the declaration. I

0:10:27 > 0:10:34might get a bit seasick! We will be all right. Welcome on board. A crew

0:10:35 > 0:10:39of about 72, they have been away for three years at a time. We have been

0:10:40 > 0:10:46away three years and you are excited to see me. And you are about to

0:10:47 > 0:10:52Jive. Exactly, what these guys do! Shall we Jive? All right, yes! I

0:10:53 > 0:10:57imagine when the guys arrived home the excitement. If I can get a small

0:10:58 > 0:11:01bit of that feeling into the routine, it will be absolutely

0:11:02 > 0:11:10amazing. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

0:11:11 > 0:11:12Dancing the Jive, Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton!

0:11:13 > 0:13:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Oh, yes! Oh,

0:13:07 > 0:13:13yes! Yes! Two! What a starts to hours Saturday!

0:13:14 > 0:13:18Can you breathe after that? Shaking! I am not surprised, that was high

0:13:19 > 0:13:23energy, composed of cells and that's welcome our great live singers,

0:13:24 > 0:13:28Hayley, month, Andrea, Tommy and Dave Arch and his amazing orchestra.

0:13:29 > 0:13:35Yes, that looked absolutely action packed. He doesn't do things by

0:13:36 > 0:13:40half, Kevin! No, I found that out. She cannot breathe. Enough content,

0:13:41 > 0:13:45Len? Give over, yes indeed, that floated my boats totally.

0:13:46 > 0:13:51It really did, you are jumping and driving, I was wailing, go on,

0:13:52 > 0:13:57Louise, get stuck in! High energy, level and I have got so high

0:13:58 > 0:14:09expectations. High expectations! Do you think that

0:14:10 > 0:14:12showed off her potential, Bruno? Two destitute family addition -- to the

0:14:13 > 0:14:19family tradition, you score big-time first time out! What I always love

0:14:20 > 0:14:28and finds delicious is the accuracy of the swinging 1940s detail. The

0:14:29 > 0:14:34style was absolutely perfect. And I love the dainty pointed but work.

0:14:35 > 0:14:39You just kind of went a little bit, there was a minor floor, we will

0:14:40 > 0:14:42just overlook that. One here and one there, you know that. But as a

0:14:43 > 0:14:57debut, it is extraordinary! Craig? Craig?. It was clean, very

0:14:58 > 0:15:02precise, crisp finishes. You need more retraction in the flicks to

0:15:03 > 0:15:08make it more of a jive. And a messy turn at the end, but apart from

0:15:09 > 0:15:11that... For a first dance, outstanding.

0:15:12 > 0:15:15CHEERING. Darcey, what would you like to add? The spring in those

0:15:16 > 0:15:20kick ball changes at the beginning and when you repeat them with the

0:15:21 > 0:15:22turn, you were able to keep it goingment really impressive. You

0:15:23 > 0:15:26have definitely got a very nice student to work with here. He is

0:15:27 > 0:15:32going to, I can't wait to see what you do next. Really lovely work.

0:15:33 > 0:15:40CHEERING.. You couldn't hope for a better start. We've all got high

0:15:41 > 0:15:44expectations of you. Well done. Louise and Kevin. Off you go. I'm so

0:15:45 > 0:15:49proud of you. CHEERING.

0:15:50 > 0:15:59Well done! I know the only thing... I can't talk. Well don't talk. You

0:16:00 > 0:16:05can mime. I know all you said is, I don't want to go first, and then you

0:16:06 > 0:16:10were told you were going first. But you handled it, you did brilliantly.

0:16:11 > 0:16:19Craig said outstanding. I know, I'm going to live with that forever and

0:16:20 > 0:16:25hold on to those comments. And your husband is in the audience.

0:16:26 > 0:16:31AUDIENCE: Ah! He will literally never come again! Your boys are

0:16:32 > 0:16:35watching at home. I love you, boys, see you in a bit. You did so well.

0:16:36 > 0:16:47This is how the leaderboard looked at the end of last night.

0:16:48 > 0:16:56Kevin, it's ridiculous, would you give yourselves 40? 40?! That would

0:16:57 > 0:17:01be perfect. Do you want to top that? Yes, I would like to Top 40, if

0:17:02 > 0:17:06possible. Well I'd give you 78. Thanks Claudia. The judges' scores

0:17:07 > 0:17:31are in. Top of the leaderboard. There's a

0:17:32 > 0:17:36lot of people to go yet. Because you're new, you are like, that seems

0:17:37 > 0:17:42nice, but we know that for country to bring out the 8 paddle in week

0:17:43 > 0:17:47one, I don't think that's happened before. You can vote next week.

0:17:48 > 0:17:53Still to come, Daisy dances to a song by Nat King Cole, who I believe

0:17:54 > 0:17:59is Brendan's uncle. Tess. Our next couple is TV presenter and radio DJ

0:18:00 > 0:18:03Melvin Odoom and his partner, Janette Manrara. Melvin's first

0:18:04 > 0:18:06dance will be the cha-cha. In training he's been using a secret

0:18:07 > 0:18:13weapon he doesn't want anyone to know about. Don't worry, Melvin,

0:18:14 > 0:18:20mum's the word. Eager to express himself is music maestro and DJ

0:18:21 > 0:18:24Melvin Odoom. The whole Strictly experience has been absolutely

0:18:25 > 0:18:29crazy. Janette jumped on me and said, I wanted you. That made me

0:18:30 > 0:18:35feel good. I love to please people, I don't want to let anybody down,

0:18:36 > 0:18:38whether it is Janette or my mum. He's the cutest and funniest and we

0:18:39 > 0:18:46are going to be crazy on the dancefloor. I can't wait. Hey,

0:18:47 > 0:18:51what's going on? Hello! First dance, the cha-cha-cha. I will give you a

0:18:52 > 0:19:00scenario. We are in Mexico. You are going to be going lo co. So far so

0:19:01 > 0:19:04good, Melvin is picking up the routine really well. We might be

0:19:05 > 0:19:13going loco in the training room but I've got a place we can take it to

0:19:14 > 0:19:19another level. This is my family. My Casa is your Casa. This is my mum.

0:19:20 > 0:19:27Hello darling! Welcome to the family. Any tips for me? If you push

0:19:28 > 0:19:33him enough you will get what you want. I know it's cha-cha-cha but

0:19:34 > 0:19:38this is the closest I could find. This is the Mexican version. Feeling

0:19:39 > 0:19:46hot, hot, hot... Good luck, Melvin. We are really proud of you. Proud

0:19:47 > 0:19:51sister. Good luck. As a young child I used to dance at family parties

0:19:52 > 0:19:56and if I did really well I would get money stuck on my head. And I've got

0:19:57 > 0:20:02to say in front of my family, we did it.

0:20:03 > 0:20:09CHEERING. Dancing the cha-cha-cha Melvin Odoom and Janette Manrara.

0:20:10 > 0:21:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. You did it! Melvin, Janette. Come over here. I

0:21:48 > 0:21:51was grinning from ear to ear all the way through. You put a smile on

0:21:52 > 0:22:02everyone's face. Are you happy? Yeah, very happy. I'm still alive.

0:22:03 > 0:22:09Thank you very much. Bruno, did that get you shaking your maracas? I need

0:22:10 > 0:22:15a cocktail after that. You captured the festive mood of the dance, but

0:22:16 > 0:22:21you forgot the hips. It was fun, light hearted and frothy, plenty of

0:22:22 > 0:22:26maracas action, and a lot of this. Were you chased by a swarm of bees?

0:22:27 > 0:22:30But you've got to put the hips into the cha-cha-cha. It is very

0:22:31 > 0:22:39important. You can't keep that area of your body stiff. It's got to

0:22:40 > 0:22:50loosen up. I will work on it. It's there. Craig, it put you in the

0:22:51 > 0:22:55holiday mood? It's put me in a wooden mood, darling. Bruno is

0:22:56 > 0:22:58right. Darling, an ironing board is less stiff down below. The hip

0:22:59 > 0:23:04action is very important. Very square. Not your dance I'm afraid.

0:23:05 > 0:23:09It is only week one, Darcey. Exactly. What are you going on

0:23:10 > 0:23:13about? He was having a great time out there.

0:23:14 > 0:23:20CHEERING. You are a natural cheeky chappy. I would say put that cheeky

0:23:21 > 0:23:24stuff into those hips and as soon as you were standing still, those hips

0:23:25 > 0:23:31worked, die see it. Just a little bit more work. And you'll be loving

0:23:32 > 0:23:35it and we'll love it even more. What was best was the performance was

0:23:36 > 0:23:40down to a T. It was brilliant. Thank you.

0:23:41 > 0:23:45CHEERING. Len? Well, I'm not going to go loco over it. I don't know

0:23:46 > 0:23:49what's happened to Craig. He was so positive last night. I thought, the

0:23:50 > 0:23:53boy's turned a corner and suddenly the nasally little person came out.

0:23:54 > 0:23:57Honestly. Listen, you came out there. It was fun. You were going

0:23:58 > 0:24:00for it. I didn't think it was stiff. I thought it was more loose than

0:24:01 > 0:24:06stiff. CHEERING. The cha-cha is a cheeky,

0:24:07 > 0:24:11fun dance and that's what you portrayed. So good on you.

0:24:12 > 0:24:15CHEERING. It put us all in the party mood didn't it, ladies and

0:24:16 > 0:24:29gentlemen. Well done. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. You did it!

0:24:30 > 0:24:34Yes, thank you. Yes! We are in love with you. We were dancing. We were

0:24:35 > 0:24:39moving up here, and Darcey said, you enjoyed it. I loved it. It was a

0:24:40 > 0:24:47great dance to start with. We put in a lot of work this week, so I'm

0:24:48 > 0:24:50happy. Are you happy? So happy. He works so hard. And you have the most

0:24:51 > 0:25:16amazing family. CHEERING. Are you happy with that?

0:25:17 > 0:25:21Yes. You just went, it's alright, baby. It's OK. If you would like to

0:25:22 > 0:25:28vote for Melvin and Janette, and I hope you can hear me over thenoids

0:25:29 > 0:25:38of Melvin's shirt, you can do so over the noise of Melvin's shirt...

0:25:39 > 0:25:43Tess? Our next couple is model Daisy Lowe and her partner, Aljaz

0:25:44 > 0:25:47Skorjanec. They are dancing a waltz to the song Unforgettable by Nat

0:25:48 > 0:25:54King Cole. Daisy wants to dedicate her performance to a very special

0:25:55 > 0:26:00person. Daisy Lowe is no stranger to the glitz and glam of the fashion

0:26:01 > 0:26:05world, so naturally she's pretty plays day about being strictlified.

0:26:06 > 0:26:11All the hair, all the make-up, all the glittery things. I can't believe

0:26:12 > 0:26:17my luck that I get to dance with him. I'm so happy. We will have

0:26:18 > 0:26:23loads of fun but when we work, we work. We've been in this beautiful

0:26:24 > 0:26:32Strictly bubble but we still haven't done a live show yet. For our first

0:26:33 > 0:26:36dance we are doing the waltz to Nat King Cole's Unforgettable. He was

0:26:37 > 0:26:41really special to me, because he was my grandfather's favourite. I really

0:26:42 > 0:26:45thought gramps was going to be here in physical form for my journey of

0:26:46 > 0:26:50Strictly but he passed away on my first day. It made me quite teary

0:26:51 > 0:26:55today. Just trying to get to grips with the fact I can't give him a

0:26:56 > 0:26:59hug. But I'm so lucky to have Aljaz, because he is extraordinary. Is that

0:27:00 > 0:27:03you when you were little? But look how happy I am just to be with him.

0:27:04 > 0:27:10He's been so warm and supportive. The perfect partner. We'll

0:27:11 > 0:27:14definitely make the good. I don't want to practise too much to the

0:27:15 > 0:27:18music, because I can see her wandering away. My brain isn't

0:27:19 > 0:27:24working. I want her to make herself proud with a beautiful waltz. As

0:27:25 > 0:27:28long as I know in my heart of hearts I've done by best and hope I've made

0:27:29 > 0:27:34gramps proud, that's all that matters to me.

0:27:35 > 0:27:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Dancing to waltz, Daisy Lowe and Aljaz

0:27:37 > 0:27:41Skorjanec. SONG: Unforgettable

0:27:42 > 0:29:29by Nat King Cole. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Thank you.

0:29:30 > 0:29:34Beautiful. Talk about unforgettable! What a first dance. You melted all

0:29:35 > 0:29:39of our hearts then. He would have been so proud. Thank you. Are you

0:29:40 > 0:29:48proud of her Aljaz? Extremely proud of her. She did an incredible job.

0:29:49 > 0:29:54CHEERING. Absolutely. Craig, how do you think they did?

0:29:55 > 0:30:01I found it very sickly sweet, over the top, that says a lot more

0:30:02 > 0:30:06probably about me than it does the dance! But you danced it

0:30:07 > 0:30:14beautifully. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Hard on her

0:30:15 > 0:30:21posture and framing, but that show, Darcey? It certainly did, Daisy, you

0:30:22 > 0:30:27instantly set the romantic feel. The atmosphere came about, shivers down

0:30:28 > 0:30:30my back, beautiful. The lilting and flowing action you produced, and

0:30:31 > 0:30:36this is your first dance. I only say use those long legs and extend and

0:30:37 > 0:30:43stretch at every opportunity, but dreamy.

0:30:44 > 0:30:52Len. I was looking for a Daisy and I found an English rose. Listen, I get

0:30:53 > 0:30:57older and forget things, you do, I promise you! I don't think I have

0:30:58 > 0:31:07seen a dance better than that for week one ever! It was brilliant!

0:31:08 > 0:31:13That is amazing! Best week once -- best week one dance ever, Bruno.

0:31:14 > 0:31:18This season, the beauties keep coming, one more beautiful than the

0:31:19 > 0:31:26other, and you are dazzling, Daisy. This had the radio the quality of

0:31:27 > 0:31:30old school glamour and high-class fashion combined -- the radiant

0:31:31 > 0:31:35quality. You made it look easy and I have to say the slower the waltz,

0:31:36 > 0:31:42the harder to maintain. You made it look so easy. Emotionally engaged. I

0:31:43 > 0:31:47am totally surprised and delighted. Surprised and delighted, so are we

0:31:48 > 0:31:51after those comments! I imagine you are as well, well done, simply

0:31:52 > 0:31:54beautiful. Thank you, I am just lucky I have the best partner, he is

0:31:55 > 0:32:03incredible. Over the Claudia.

0:32:04 > 0:32:14Yes! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

0:32:15 > 0:32:20Yes! Well done! We were just going, can she get through it? Well done.

0:32:21 > 0:32:27How do you feel? You did it! Yes! Really good! Your mum is in the

0:32:28 > 0:32:32audience. She was willing due on, go on! She did great. Amazing,

0:32:33 > 0:32:36absolutely amazing, it was a really hard stands because the music was

0:32:37 > 0:32:43slow but you controlled perfectly. Well done. -- hard dance.

0:32:44 > 0:32:47The scores are in. With the judges please reveal their scores? Craig

0:32:48 > 0:32:51Revel Horwood. Seven. Darcey Bussell. A dreamy eight. Len

0:32:52 > 0:33:07Goodman. Nine. And Bruno Tonioli. Eight!

0:33:08 > 0:33:16Yes! Top of the Leader Board! Top of the Leader Board. Well done. If you

0:33:17 > 0:33:20would like to vote for Daisy and Aljaz, you can when voting opens

0:33:21 > 0:33:27next week. There is more Strictly on Facebook Twitter and the website.

0:33:28 > 0:33:32Still to come, Tameka, what you dancing?

0:33:33 > 0:33:41Bless you! Thank you! Dancing next is actor

0:33:42 > 0:33:46Danny Mac and his partner Bettina Blues Day! Danny is absolutely

0:33:47 > 0:33:50terrified of the judges, I don't know why because as long as his

0:33:51 > 0:33:56armography is perfect and his fingers pointing the right way and

0:33:57 > 0:34:00his footwork spot-on and his dancing is in time with the music, he moves

0:34:01 > 0:34:08with the beat and he does not fall over, he will be fine, right? Right!

0:34:09 > 0:34:13Former Hollyoaks actor Danny Mac is stepping out of his comfort zone and

0:34:14 > 0:34:18into his dancing shoes. I have always played characters and hidden

0:34:19 > 0:34:21behind those, this experience is not anyone. At the launch waiting for

0:34:22 > 0:34:32our partners was the most exciting bit. It is Oti! She is great and we

0:34:33 > 0:34:39will have a good time. I am over the moon, I am so happy. I want to work

0:34:40 > 0:34:43hard and I will be interested to see who brakes hard, me or Oti. Please,

0:34:44 > 0:34:49there is no way I am going to break first. Ready, bring it on. Day one

0:34:50 > 0:34:58and we are doing the cha-cha-cha and it is very quick. It is a tough one.

0:34:59 > 0:35:02My brain and I can do it and is having a constant argument with my

0:35:03 > 0:35:06body. I don't know why I am not getting it. He does get frustrated

0:35:07 > 0:35:11with himself a lot, he has such potential. It's not going to happen!

0:35:12 > 0:35:15How are you finding it? I am trying to do the best I can but I am

0:35:16 > 0:35:22definitely terrified. But why? You are doing such a good job. Oti is

0:35:23 > 0:35:27great and sticking with it and I think she totally believes in me.

0:35:28 > 0:35:30Yes! Ore Oduba is getting me to focus on the things I am getting

0:35:31 > 0:35:35right now rather than getting stressed about the things I am

0:35:36 > 0:35:39getting wrong. You got it. I am so terrified about performing in this

0:35:40 > 0:35:43routine in front of millions of people, but as long as I can stop

0:35:44 > 0:35:53being so hard on myself, I can perform my best on the night.

0:35:54 > 0:35:54CHEERING AND APPLAUSE dancing the cha-cha-cha, Danny Mac and Oti

0:35:55 > 0:36:01Mabuse. Is this

0:36:02 > 0:38:09Listen to the audience! Is this

0:38:10 > 0:38:26is the most incredible feeling Is this

0:38:27 > 0:38:26astonishing. Darcey, how about Is this

0:38:27 > 0:38:47Yes! That was fast, packed Is this

0:38:48 > 0:38:52know what they going to be like so you look at the pretender and the

0:38:53 > 0:38:57contender. 100%, you are a contender. I have got to tell that.

0:38:58 > 0:39:03You have to justify your mark because people say, you say positive

0:39:04 > 0:39:08things. It is a good mark, so don't cry about it. I have just got to say

0:39:09 > 0:39:13we've got that same boyish grin, you and me! Did you notice that? You are

0:39:14 > 0:39:19good at that stage dancing, whatever they that. I thought the cha-cha in

0:39:20 > 0:39:28the middle was fantastic but there was a little bit too much, for me,

0:39:29 > 0:39:33of stage dancing. Don't do that, I said he is a contender, boyish grin,

0:39:34 > 0:39:39great dancer, don't get on my nerves early on!

0:39:40 > 0:39:44Bruno. I loved the arena spectacular! That is what you did!

0:39:45 > 0:39:48It was everything I wanted. Incredible performance power, it

0:39:49 > 0:39:57was, I loved the Michael Jackson moves you put in. Absolutely

0:39:58 > 0:40:00brilliant! Very well moving into the cha-cha-cha and no luck of hip

0:40:01 > 0:40:08action. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

0:40:09 > 0:40:09Breakdowns, great comments. He is a contender, Bourdy is waiting, go

0:40:10 > 0:40:28upstairs, Danny and Oti. -- Claudia. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE.

0:40:29 > 0:40:33Danny Mac! I am so sorry you are such a rubbish dancer! By the way,

0:40:34 > 0:40:38we all were like, or what?! Did you love it? I had the best time. That

0:40:39 > 0:40:43is three weeks work to do that and we've got one for the next. It is

0:40:44 > 0:40:48all down to Oti, she has been The Boss of me for three weeks. But he

0:40:49 > 0:40:52did really well. He worked so hard, he does everything in practice and

0:40:53 > 0:40:58he never gives up so I love that. And thank you! Well done. We should

0:40:59 > 0:41:04say that was Latin and you have ballroom next week, Viennese waltz,

0:41:05 > 0:41:09can you move in that situation? It is just one week, slow down.

0:41:10 > 0:41:14Slowly, slowly. The scores. The judges have their scores, Craig

0:41:15 > 0:41:25Revel Horwood. Eight. Darcey Bussell. Eight. Len Goodman. Seven!

0:41:26 > 0:41:31Bruno Tonioli. Eight. For your debut. You've got to be happy with

0:41:32 > 0:41:34that, Danny? Amazed, over the moon. Remember, the scores will be carried

0:41:35 > 0:41:39over the next week when you will have the chance to vote so if Danny

0:41:40 > 0:41:50and Oti floated your boat, vote for them then, Tess.

0:41:51 > 0:41:55Next, EastEnders start Tameka Empson and Gorka Marquez. Her first downs

0:41:56 > 0:42:01is the passionate paso doble with our handsome new Spanish dancer

0:42:02 > 0:42:10Gorka, I have a feeling this will get pretty hot.

0:42:11 > 0:42:14EastEnders actress Tameka Empson is fulfilling her dreams and ready to

0:42:15 > 0:42:17make her Strictly debut. I have always wanted to be in Strictly Come

0:42:18 > 0:42:25Dancing and now it is really blowing my mind! When it came to the starter

0:42:26 > 0:42:32show and Gorka swept me off my feet, I was dazed and confused! I am from

0:42:33 > 0:42:36Spain, Gorka Marquez, 20 years old, this is my first series on Strictly.

0:42:37 > 0:42:41I am super excited to be with Tameka. With Strictly, there has

0:42:42 > 0:42:51been a long history of EastEnders actors. Now my turn, feel the

0:42:52 > 0:42:56pressure! It is my first day of training, this is a dream come true.

0:42:57 > 0:43:12I am here, I am ready, I am going to dance. Welcome to rehearsals. Thank

0:43:13 > 0:43:20you! This dance is the paso doble. I am doing the paso doble... Paso

0:43:21 > 0:43:25doble? I am doing that! In paso doble, you need to show more drama

0:43:26 > 0:43:34or this is not a proper paso doble. I need her to stop laughing. It is

0:43:35 > 0:43:43all... I need more drama for the paso doble! Let's go! Keeping a

0:43:44 > 0:43:51straight face. That is difficult. The drama begins!

0:43:52 > 0:43:55APPLAUSE. Dancing the paso doble, Tameka

0:43:56 > 0:44:02Empson and Gorka Marquez. Dancing the paso doble, Tameka

0:44:03 > 0:46:03Empson and Gorka Marquez. Viva Tameka! Hot and Spanish. Not

0:46:04 > 0:46:08you, Gorka, the dance. I bet that was a challenge keeping a straight

0:46:09 > 0:46:15face throughout, because it not? Are you still in character, or can't you

0:46:16 > 0:46:20breathe? CPR needed immediately! Len, first paso of the series. Did

0:46:21 > 0:46:27you get what you were looking for? It was corker, I'm telling you! You

0:46:28 > 0:46:32come out and you... This dance is all about the attack and you

0:46:33 > 0:46:36attacked it. But in the same way you maid it fun somehow. I thought it

0:46:37 > 0:46:40was terrific. It was full of impact. You came out... It was great. I

0:46:41 > 0:46:46thought it was really good. CHEERING. CHEERING.. Thank you. Did

0:46:47 > 0:46:52you love that? Drama? I loved that woman. She was chewing the scenery!

0:46:53 > 0:46:59I'm talking to you about getting into character. You played 27. I

0:47:00 > 0:47:04lost count. The cape, the matador, the arena, the public. You just went

0:47:05 > 0:47:09for it like a fury. And I love that. CHEERING. Hold on a second. Shaping.

0:47:10 > 0:47:13You have to extend the shaping a little bit more, my darling. Because

0:47:14 > 0:47:17then we get the more correct line. But I loved that little run at the

0:47:18 > 0:47:25end. You were just going like the clappers. I loved it!

0:47:26 > 0:47:27LAUGHTER Sorry. Craig? Well, you certainly owned the stage, my

0:47:28 > 0:47:32darling. CHEERING. That goes without saying.

0:47:33 > 0:47:37Full of attitude, full of passion. I thought you were more on the matador

0:47:38 > 0:47:43side than the cape. You were driving that dance and running things. I

0:47:44 > 0:47:48know you planked the floor like an RSJ, darling. Bang! But you

0:47:49 > 0:47:55survived. I lived to tell the tail. Well done. Cher cheer. That's a lot

0:47:56 > 0:48:01coming from him. Darcey? As the boys said, the most perfect dramatic

0:48:02 > 0:48:06moody senorita I have ever seen. You took over that dancefloor. My own

0:48:07 > 0:48:12thing, a bit like Bruno, exaggerate the moves. Don't throw the arm away.

0:48:13 > 0:48:16Really fill the space, yes? But oh, that character, you are overpowering

0:48:17 > 0:48:26us all. It is fabulous, darling. CHEERING. Thank you my love. Well

0:48:27 > 0:48:44done you! CHEERING. Ole! Well done. What do

0:48:45 > 0:48:51you need? I need a fan. Faster! Faster! Literally, whatever you

0:48:52 > 0:48:59want, Tameka. You know we can find where the dancers are just from your

0:49:00 > 0:49:06laugh. I love watching you training. I'm so happy to be here. Thank you

0:49:07 > 0:49:11Gorka. An excellent partnership. Gorka the corker. And my favourite

0:49:12 > 0:49:20thing is when you can't breathe... The scores are in.

0:49:21 > 0:49:32APPLAUSE. CHEERING.

0:49:33 > 0:49:39CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Cheer Very well done. Thank you. I want to

0:49:40 > 0:49:44share with the group next week you are doing the Charleston. Next week,

0:49:45 > 0:49:50not tonight. Maybe in the bar afterwards. If you are going

0:49:51 > 0:49:56crackers for Tameka's maracas, you vote for her next week. Yes I know

0:49:57 > 0:50:02they are castanets but you try rhyming castanets. I have lots more

0:50:03 > 0:50:09the come, including this: Stay with me. At an amusement park I don't

0:50:10 > 0:50:15even go on the right.ds spinning in here is a lot of anxiety like I

0:50:16 > 0:50:20really do need a moment. I haven't cracked smiling when I'm dancing. I

0:50:21 > 0:50:25am really quite enjoying it but I need toe relax and smile a bit. What

0:50:26 > 0:50:29I'm finding difficult is all the steps. There is nothing that easy

0:50:30 > 0:50:33about it, to be honest. I struggle with everything. Doing aggressive

0:50:34 > 0:50:42moves which are needed for a tango. It is all done on Sunday effects.

0:50:43 > 0:50:48CHEERING. Why are you dressed as an elf? That's a good question. It is

0:50:49 > 0:50:58for Ed Balls. He is dancing to an elfish song. Elvis, not elfish!

0:50:59 > 0:51:05LAUGHTER Would you excuse me? LAUGHTER

0:51:06 > 0:51:07APPLAUSE. Next, it is singer Anastacia and her partner, Brendan

0:51:08 > 0:51:17Cole. CHEERING. They are doing a cha-cha,

0:51:18 > 0:51:22but during a break in training broken Dan took Anastacia sight

0:51:23 > 0:51:27seeing in London. I wonder if they saw the cha-cha Changing of the

0:51:28 > 0:51:32Guard. Elfish?! Interest superstar Anastacia is used to the pressure of

0:51:33 > 0:51:38performing but dancing on Strictly is another story. I felt like this

0:51:39 > 0:51:45is such an out of body experience. It's Brendan! My partner is maize

0:51:46 > 0:51:49balls. First thing I said to him is we're winning this thing. And he was

0:51:50 > 0:51:54just like, alright! Know how impressive she is on the stage. She

0:51:55 > 0:52:01is ridiculously famous throughout the world. If it's all wrong, it's

0:52:02 > 0:52:04his fault. Just saying. With that winning mentality it is straight

0:52:05 > 0:52:10down to training. The first dance is the cha-cha. I'm very excited about

0:52:11 > 0:52:16it. Enityic, fast, sultry. I think it is going to be really coollet We

0:52:17 > 0:52:21are not going to do training today. A birdie told me it is your

0:52:22 > 0:52:27birthday. It is. As the birthday girl is from out of town Brendan is

0:52:28 > 0:52:31treating her to a tour of lobbed. You guys have your own bus? Snookers

0:52:32 > 0:52:39snookers over there is Buckingham Palace. It is so cute. On our bus

0:52:40 > 0:52:43ride Brendan told me a few facts. That was done by 14 Egyptian

0:52:44 > 0:52:51monks... Which I think are questionable. Piccadilly circus,

0:52:52 > 0:52:59lots of little clowns... No! Hello Mr Beefeater. May I try on some

0:53:00 > 0:53:03crown jewels? Of course you can! It's been amazing to celebrate my

0:53:04 > 0:53:10birthday in London and end it at the Ritz. That's pretty darn awesome.

0:53:11 > 0:53:13Thanks Brendan. CHEERING.. Dancing the cha-cha-cha. Anastacia and

0:53:14 > 0:53:21Brendan Cole. CHEERING.

0:53:22 > 0:55:03CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Oh yes! That had everything in it.

0:55:04 > 0:55:07Bags of attitude. Even the splits! Did I do that? Yes, you did. You

0:55:08 > 0:55:17looked like you were in your element. No, no, no, I wish you

0:55:18 > 0:55:22could understand... Andrea? Girls, she sung the song, I'm humbled by

0:55:23 > 0:55:29the dancers really. APPLAUSE. Bruno, were in ...

0:55:30 > 0:55:31the dancers really. APPLAUSE. Bruno, were in Were you in

0:55:32 > 0:55:36your element? Anastacia, I have to say you are hot and sexy. Oh my God.

0:55:37 > 0:55:41You winter for everything I like. I think you cracked Len's lens at the

0:55:42 > 0:55:46moment there. Very ambiguous. Anyway, it was a very good dance.

0:55:47 > 0:55:51But what happened, you went wrong quite a few times. I think it's

0:55:52 > 0:55:55because of the nerves. First I'm out, and a new platform. You are a

0:55:56 > 0:55:59singer not a dancer and you attacked the performance so much that you

0:56:00 > 0:56:05lost quite a few times the choreography. But you're very

0:56:06 > 0:56:08talented and very good. Based on this, I'm expecting fantastic dance

0:56:09 > 0:56:17next week. APPLAUSE. Craig? Absolute filth and

0:56:18 > 0:56:25bordering I have to say on indecency. Clear cheer I loved it,

0:56:26 > 0:56:30darling. Thank you. Brendan unfortunately has a habit of

0:56:31 > 0:56:36bringing this sort of behaviour out in his partners... I only do it to

0:56:37 > 0:56:42impress you, Craig. That split in second, my darling. It's called a

0:56:43 > 0:56:50box split. Right down. I loved it. Mistakes and all.

0:56:51 > 0:56:55CHEERING. Darcey? You are certainly a supple chick on that dancefloor.

0:56:56 > 0:57:00The accents in the moves. Even with a couple of mistakes it was clean.

0:57:01 > 0:57:05Well done. What I did love is that cheeky, sexy attitude. If you can do

0:57:06 > 0:57:11that with a cha-cha I can't wait for the Argentine tango. Neither can I.

0:57:12 > 0:57:20Good point, Darcey. Len? Lady Marmalade. It was tangy and slightly

0:57:21 > 0:57:24fruity. Oh yes. You don't suffer from stage fright. You were out

0:57:25 > 0:57:31there. I know you are American. As you bent over... I think I saw the

0:57:32 > 0:57:39Rocky Mountains! LAUGHTER I enjoyed it very much.

0:57:40 > 0:57:46Frisky Len! Great comment from the judges. What is he like?! Well done,

0:57:47 > 0:57:50my darling. Go and see Lady Winkleman up stairs. Anastacia and

0:57:51 > 0:58:00Brendan Cole. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Well done! My

0:58:01 > 0:58:06favourite thing was the scream when Craig said he loved it. You went

0:58:07 > 0:58:14Aaargh. I was expecting him to say horrible things to me, so I was

0:58:15 > 0:58:19nervous. You've got used to going and singing in huge stadiums. But as

0:58:20 > 0:58:22Tess said, this is not your element. But I'm so excited to be part of it.

0:58:23 > 0:58:29Really. APPLAUSE. An amazing girl. And you

0:58:30 > 0:58:33look after everyone. The scores are in.

0:58:34 > 0:58:57It normally works the other way round. No, it's OK. I have a lot of

0:58:58 > 0:59:01work to do, I get that. I got you dudes, wherever the cameras are. If

0:59:02 > 0:59:07you liked that routine, I'm not sure I've mentioned it, you can vote when

0:59:08 > 0:59:15voting opens next week. Still to come Claudia and AJ and a gym. I'm

0:59:16 > 0:59:22not sure who Jim is. Next attempt is former Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls

0:59:23 > 0:59:26and his partner Katya Jones. They are going to dance a waltz and it is

0:59:27 > 0:59:30set on Westminster bridge, so where better to get inspiration than the

0:59:31 > 0:59:38Houses of Parliament. I hope his timing is as good as Big Ben's.

0:59:39 > 0:59:42Former politician Ed Balls is more used to the House of Commons than

0:59:43 > 0:59:46the Strictly ballroom. I've walked up red carpets lots of timings

0:59:47 > 0:59:52before. But on the launch show the press wanted to take photos of me on

0:59:53 > 0:59:58the red carpet. When I found out Katya was my partner, I thought

0:59:59 > 1:00:01brilliant. I'm Katya Jones and I'm four times undefeated British

1:00:02 > 1:00:08national champion and the world Latin Showdance champion.

1:00:09 > 1:00:20I know I have got a lot to learn, Katya, you have your work cut out!

1:00:21 > 1:00:24It all starts here. Your brain, your elbows! Wrong-foot! We are doing a

1:00:25 > 1:00:29waltz and Katya is a tough teacher. Follow your left... If she wasn't,

1:00:30 > 1:00:33we would not make progress. You were doing great and we've got limited

1:00:34 > 1:00:39time so I have got to be tough. I'm used to it. In the House of Commons,

1:00:40 > 1:00:43dispatch box, hundreds of MPs, you should have a block, why don't you

1:00:44 > 1:00:47see? This is the House of Commons

1:00:48 > 1:00:53chamber. It is where the opposition stands. This is where the Prime

1:00:54 > 1:00:58Minister stands. Was it a tough job? Sometimes it was really heated, very

1:00:59 > 1:01:02intense. Some people have shouted in here even louder than you. We will

1:01:03 > 1:01:06see about that, it's time for training. I think Katya was worried

1:01:07 > 1:01:10she was being too tough but she has seen I am used to tough environments

1:01:11 > 1:01:15so let's hope I can handle the pressure when I step out onto the

1:01:16 > 1:01:21dance floor. Ready? And... Posture! Get your frame up! CHEERING AND

1:01:22 > 1:01:26APPLAUSE. Dancing the waltz, Ed Balls and

1:01:27 > 1:03:11Katya Jones. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Katya, you do

1:03:12 > 1:03:15not see that every day in the Houses of Parliament! Are you relieved it

1:03:16 > 1:03:21is over? Relieved, yes, it was fun. I think I was better in rehearsal

1:03:22 > 1:03:26but it was great. You did very well. But relieved! It might be

1:03:27 > 1:03:33short-lived, guess who is first? Craig. I thought it was a little

1:03:34 > 1:03:37industrial, if I am honest. You also need to get some rise and fall,

1:03:38 > 1:03:42Darling, you need to do that by raising onto the Balls of your feet

1:03:43 > 1:03:46and as that is your last name, you could remind yourself about that.

1:03:47 > 1:03:52And shaping is out as well, you need to get at least some hand shaping.

1:03:53 > 1:03:57And went horribly wrong going across at the beginning, but I knew no you

1:03:58 > 1:04:04knew that but it was obvious in this particular dance. Better luck next

1:04:05 > 1:04:09time, Darling. He is really out of his comfort zone, Darcey. The nerves

1:04:10 > 1:04:13when you first go out on the dance floor and myself when I danced here

1:04:14 > 1:04:17as a professional, my goodness, it is so nerve wracking and we did feel

1:04:18 > 1:04:22that and I know you feel that. Don't worry, there was glimmers of a nice,

1:04:23 > 1:04:28elegant gentleman. I saw the posture. By the end, you were really

1:04:29 > 1:04:33working well. The best thing with nerves is to think of a narrative, a

1:04:34 > 1:04:36story to give you direction and feeling. And build on that character

1:04:37 > 1:04:44and you will be fine. Well done. Thank you, Darcey. Len.

1:04:45 > 1:04:50You are out of the Shadow Cabinet and into the dancing Spotlight and I

1:04:51 > 1:04:53will be honest, I thought, he isn't going to be much good, that is for

1:04:54 > 1:05:00sure. That is what I love with Strictly. And for me, you watch

1:05:01 > 1:05:05Strictly is about. You are someone who doesn't dance. You come out,

1:05:06 > 1:05:09you've got a nice hold, you have worked on your heel leads, you move

1:05:10 > 1:05:18around the floor. I was pleasantly surprised and I congratulate you.

1:05:19 > 1:05:24I think a lot of people were, Bruno. Desperate -- definitely surprisingly

1:05:25 > 1:05:28Conservative. But it came out well. It was very prim and proper. You

1:05:29 > 1:05:32tried to place it well and you stepped out of line one time, get

1:05:33 > 1:05:36the whip out! Don't let her do the work at the end. You need to do

1:05:37 > 1:05:44more. Overall, very politically correct. A

1:05:45 > 1:05:56steady start. Ed Balls has loved the dance floor! Ed and Katya.

1:05:57 > 1:06:08Ed and Katya, you just did a waltz live on television to Elvis. Sort

1:06:09 > 1:06:10of! No, he did well. Really well. Also, it is Labour party conference

1:06:11 > 1:06:16this weekend and you are in a sparkly shirt, life is strange! I

1:06:17 > 1:06:19hope they are having a good time in Liverpool.

1:06:20 > 1:06:24Good luck with the scores. Will the judges please reveal their scores?

1:06:25 > 1:06:34Craig Revel Horwood. Five. Darcey Bussell. Five. Len Goodman. Six. And

1:06:35 > 1:06:42Bruno Tonioli. Five. 21, would you like to answer

1:06:43 > 1:06:49those scores? I think you were really... Len was pleasantly

1:06:50 > 1:06:56surprised. Happy with that? At base to build on. Exactly, journey, that

1:06:57 > 1:07:01is the key. It is certainly a journey! You are having fun? Yes,

1:07:02 > 1:07:05loving it. Good, the scores will be carried the next week.

1:07:06 > 1:07:09Still to come, Will Young has a chess set, I am more of a real girl

1:07:10 > 1:07:16myself, you? Yes. Next to dance is Olympic

1:07:17 > 1:07:25gymnast Claudia Fragapane and her partner AJ Pritchard. Claudia is the

1:07:26 > 1:07:29youngest person on Strictly, I can't believe how young she is, I have

1:07:30 > 1:07:32older things in my fridge! But she has a lot of support at home and

1:07:33 > 1:07:41with the help of a family, she is ready to go for Gold on Strictly.

1:07:42 > 1:07:45As an artistic gymnast, Olympian Claudia Fragapane creates works of

1:07:46 > 1:07:49art with her body but how will she cope with the dance floor as a

1:07:50 > 1:07:53campus? Really excited, time to put on the heels and start dancing. The

1:07:54 > 1:07:58think I need to work on most is being graceful and ladylike because

1:07:59 > 1:08:05in gymnastics... Excited to be with AJ. I am AJ, British open and

1:08:06 > 1:08:09nationally Latin youth champion. So excited to be strict leave this

1:08:10 > 1:08:13year, I can't wait to get started. I have been told he does look in the

1:08:14 > 1:08:15mirror quite a lot. Still good. I will be like, come on, let's get to

1:08:16 > 1:08:23work. Hello! OK? Like Cinderella. We are

1:08:24 > 1:08:26doing the cha-cha-cha and all I can think about is moving your body

1:08:27 > 1:08:33fast. I don't know anything about dancing! We have been training for a

1:08:34 > 1:08:37week and it's time for you to meet my family. That is a bit soon! The

1:08:38 > 1:08:42only person you have to impress is my dad, he is very strict and you

1:08:43 > 1:08:49have to impress him. Hello, Papa! It is AJ. All right? He

1:08:50 > 1:08:53looks like a nice young kid. Not a kid, a man.

1:08:54 > 1:08:57How is training? Really good, she has a great personality and is easy

1:08:58 > 1:09:02in the studio. This is my Trophy Room. Four Gold

1:09:03 > 1:09:06medals? That is cool, I like that. AJ, I want to see the stands, I am

1:09:07 > 1:09:11watching the! Today's visit to her family has gone

1:09:12 > 1:09:15fantastic, Claudia's dad is a bit softy.

1:09:16 > 1:09:18My dad is going to be in the audience watching and he will be

1:09:19 > 1:09:25really excited. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Dancing the

1:09:26 > 1:09:32cha-cha-cha, Claudia Fragapane and AJ Pritchard.

1:09:33 > 1:10:53SONG: That's What Makes You Beautiful.

1:10:54 > 1:11:19Goodness me! Fantastic! On their feet, Claudia. A backflip in high

1:11:20 > 1:11:24heels! I haven't seen that since Craig! We know you use the

1:11:25 > 1:11:31backflips, how did you find the dancing? Absolutely incredible, I

1:11:32 > 1:11:36enjoyed every minute. You have done a backflip now, incredible, Darcey,

1:11:37 > 1:11:41impressed? Mike, Wow! You are adorable to watch, you two, it is

1:11:42 > 1:11:47heaven. It is clean and exact and those tricks, they are dynamic. I

1:11:48 > 1:11:52would only say if you can put the same sort of dynamics into the dance

1:11:53 > 1:11:56moves, you will both, live! You have ticked off the first dance, well

1:11:57 > 1:12:01done, good job. Does she will come alive. Good job,

1:12:02 > 1:12:05you are a massive fan of One Direction, what did you think of the

1:12:06 > 1:12:11routine? I don't want to talk about One Direction, I haven't got over

1:12:12 > 1:12:16Zayn Malik leaving! Told you! I will say this straightaway, I know you

1:12:17 > 1:12:22are a fantastic gymnast, but I'm not a big punter for gymnastics in

1:12:23 > 1:12:27dancing. No, it is only a warning. She's a nice little girl, don't get

1:12:28 > 1:12:31like that. I am just telling you because if you are not careful, you

1:12:32 > 1:12:35end up putting gymnastics in everything. What you do, you do

1:12:36 > 1:12:40lovely. A little placed in some parts and needed a bit more action

1:12:41 > 1:12:45but lovely and you have great coordination.

1:12:46 > 1:12:50You will do great. Thank you. Bruno. My goodness, she is so cute, you

1:12:51 > 1:12:57want to take her home, look at her. And you! Come on, they are perfectly

1:12:58 > 1:13:01matched! What happens is you are so strong and powerful and you have

1:13:02 > 1:13:06this kind of natural rhythmic ability. You know when you do

1:13:07 > 1:13:12gymnastics? You prepare and you go. In dance, you never interrupt the

1:13:13 > 1:13:16flow. So if you do one of your tricks, try not to interrupt the

1:13:17 > 1:13:21flow of the dance. Keep it continuous. The moment you stop, it

1:13:22 > 1:13:26kind of stops the magic and dance is a different technique to gymnastics,

1:13:27 > 1:13:33it needs a continuous flow through the body. You will get it next week.

1:13:34 > 1:13:39You will get it next week. Craig, be careful, her dad is in the audience.

1:13:40 > 1:13:45I thought it was a bit stumpy. A little square. Lacking hip action. I

1:13:46 > 1:13:50loved the aerobics and doing that in heels. Amazing. Virtually

1:13:51 > 1:13:57impossible. Fantastic, thank you very much. Only One Direction to go

1:13:58 > 1:14:00in now, upstairs with Claudia. We loved it, thank you so much. Claudia

1:14:01 > 1:14:12and AJ. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. You were

1:14:13 > 1:14:16brilliant! I know you were absolutely terrified. Your dad is in

1:14:17 > 1:14:24the audience. We are rather in love with. What would you give your girl,

1:14:25 > 1:14:31Paolo? CHEERING. How do you feel about the

1:14:32 > 1:14:34judges' comments? Absolutely fine, I take criticism really well. The

1:14:35 > 1:14:48scores are in. APPLAUSE.

1:14:49 > 1:14:54CHEERING. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Cheer 26. Are

1:14:55 > 1:15:01you alright with that? Yes. OK, good. If you enjoyed that, you can

1:15:02 > 1:15:07vote for these two next week. AJ, I always say you are 11, so I brought

1:15:08 > 1:15:13you a present to say well done. LAUGHTER You can play with it. So

1:15:14 > 1:15:18cute. I've got some colouring in as well. We've had 8 performances which

1:15:19 > 1:15:24means there is is only one couple left to dance. Yes, our final couple

1:15:25 > 1:15:28of the night is Will Young and his partner, Karen Clifton.

1:15:29 > 1:15:34CHEERING. Will has four number one singles in his name, but forget the

1:15:35 > 1:15:41singing. Tonight is all about the dancing. Will he be number one on

1:15:42 > 1:15:45our leaderboard? Let's find out. Chart topping pop star, check. Will

1:15:46 > 1:15:47has four number one singles in his name, but forget the singing.

1:15:48 > 1:15:50Tonight is all about the dancing. Will he be number one on our

1:15:51 > 1:15:52leaderboard? Let's find out. Chart topping pop star, check. Award

1:15:53 > 1:15:58winning actor - check. But what is next for Will Young? I love learning

1:15:59 > 1:16:07new things and I've got a fantastic dance partner. General fitness

1:16:08 > 1:16:15levels, I'm like an old mini, and she is like a 1990s Ferrari. I'm

1:16:16 > 1:16:21hoping that Karen can improve that and I'm really sorry that I'm not

1:16:22 > 1:16:25that fit. Hello! It is my first day of training. There's a mixture of

1:16:26 > 1:16:30excitement and terror. I bet you are dying to know what dance you are

1:16:31 > 1:16:34going to do. The tango. I've always wanted to do the tango, so this is

1:16:35 > 1:16:38literally a dream already. It is looking good so far but we have to

1:16:39 > 1:16:42put a lot of hours in. Sorry, I've got to leave rehearsals early

1:16:43 > 1:16:47because I have band practise. Can I come with you? I've always wanted to

1:16:48 > 1:16:53be in a band. I can be a drummer. Yeah, come on! Karen had a go at the

1:16:54 > 1:16:57drums and I think she shows some real promise. That That's awful.

1:16:58 > 1:17:05Sing me one of your best known songs. I think I'm gone Florida

1:17:06 > 1:17:12leave right now... I don't know that one actually. She knew. She

1:17:13 > 1:17:15definitely knew it. While waiting for his band I managed to squeeze a

1:17:16 > 1:17:20little bit of tango training, so I'm happy. It was really brilliant of

1:17:21 > 1:17:22Karen to come down to the studio. I hope I can make her proud on the

1:17:23 > 1:17:25night. CHEERING.

1:17:26 > 1:17:34Dancing the tango, Will Young and Karen Clifton.

1:17:35 > 1:19:24Tango! Come on over. CHEERING. Oh yes! I don't know who

1:19:25 > 1:19:30won that chess match. I don't even play chess. It was such a dramatic

1:19:31 > 1:19:36end to the show. How was it for you? Don't speak. Thumbs up will do.

1:19:37 > 1:19:43Let's judge. Len? The hold was a little bit wide. It could have been

1:19:44 > 1:19:47slightly more compact. It could! I'm going to say, not quite checkmate

1:19:48 > 1:19:50but an excellent performance. Well done.

1:19:51 > 1:19:57CHEERING. What did you think of his moves Bruno? Not just the moves. It

1:19:58 > 1:20:03is the mood. It was like watching a passion play in three acts. The

1:20:04 > 1:20:07acting and the interpretation was brilliant. You were so focused, so

1:20:08 > 1:20:10intense. Yes, Len was right, you have to be careful with the

1:20:11 > 1:20:14technique. When you get into that character it is all very well, but

1:20:15 > 1:20:17you have to retain the position and the style of the tango, but I loved

1:20:18 > 1:20:23it. Really good. APPLAUSE. Craig did you? I thought

1:20:24 > 1:20:29the feet were turned out in places but it was full of drama, purpose,

1:20:30 > 1:20:35sharp staccato. Everything we love. CHEERING. The word love. Was that a

1:20:36 > 1:20:39worthy end to the show Darcey My gosh, that attack. That the power

1:20:40 > 1:20:42you gave to that tango. Fabulous. The stalking moves. The boys are

1:20:43 > 1:20:48right. You've got to fix that top line. Especially when you give so

1:20:49 > 1:20:52much power, so it doesn't give. You have so much potential.

1:20:53 > 1:20:57CHEERING. Thank you judges. It Takes Two to tango. You did very well.

1:20:58 > 1:21:13Move on up to Claudia. CHEERING. Well done. Well done. Will

1:21:14 > 1:21:20and Karen. Really scary going last isn't it? Everyone is watching you.

1:21:21 > 1:21:26But are you happy? I am. Yes. You did great. The scores are in.

1:21:27 > 1:21:35CHEERING. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Cheer Oh my

1:21:36 > 1:21:43God! CHEERING.

1:21:44 > 1:21:52You will be very happy with that. It was fantastic. If you want to vote

1:21:53 > 1:21:55for Will and Karen you can when voting opens next week. It is all

1:21:56 > 1:22:14change on the leaderboard. Let's have a look.

1:22:15 > 1:22:20Remember, those scores will be added to next week's when our couples

1:22:21 > 1:22:23perform again. That's when you get if chance to vote for your

1:22:24 > 1:22:36favourite. That's it. Let's celebrate. Naga, hit the triangle.

1:22:37 > 1:22:38CHEERING. Thank you. Let's look at the routines you've seen this

1:22:39 > 1:22:42weekend. SONG: Unforgettable

1:22:43 > 1:25:06by Nat King Cole. SONG: That's What

1:25:07 > 1:26:28Makes You Beautiful. CHEERING.

1:26:29 > 1:26:56CHEERING. What a weekend it's been. Yes, we're back next Saturday

1:26:57 > 1:27:00and Sunday for our first results show of the series,

1:27:01 > 1:27:02when one of these couples will sadly You can get your fake tan
