0:09:13 > 0:09:17Looking beautiful!
0:09:17 > 0:09:18Mollie is doing a Charleston,
0:09:18 > 0:09:21and she's taking on the role of a beautiful bird-of-paradise -
0:09:21 > 0:09:23or, as they call them in Blackpool, seagulls.
0:09:23 > 0:09:28APPLAUSE
0:09:28 > 0:09:32I loved that dance. We both gave it everything we have. And I had
0:09:32 > 0:09:36thought we had done it really well until we got to the judges.
0:09:36 > 0:09:41There was a lot of content, but all the artistry went away.
0:09:41 > 0:09:46I definitely thought Blackpool was just gone.
0:09:46 > 0:09:54Mollie and AJ! I could not believe it.We are dancing the Charleston at
0:09:54 > 0:09:58Blackpool. This week, we are dancing the
0:09:58 > 0:10:03Charleston which is so much fun. In Blackpool, everything has to be
0:10:03 > 0:10:08bigger and better so I know what AJ is like and he wants to throw in
0:10:08 > 0:10:12some lifts.Up here, down here, back here come around here. It is going
0:10:12 > 0:10:17to look fantastic on TV! Lift me up! I'm so excited for
0:10:17 > 0:10:23Blackpool and it means I can go up North to see my family.
0:10:23 > 0:10:26As Mollie's remark can't visit London to watch the live show, they
0:10:26 > 0:10:33decide to take the Hull experience to her in Hull.
0:10:33 > 0:10:37I had a surprise visit today, Mollie and AJ.
0:10:37 > 0:10:42And Nanette whipped out the family photos, of course.
0:10:42 > 0:10:48Oh, Nana, no! She is cute! Have you been watching
0:10:48 > 0:10:52the show? Are you enjoying it? Lovely. What are you dancing this
0:10:52 > 0:11:02weekend? The Charleston. Oh, that is hard! And we showed her
0:11:02 > 0:11:07the Charleston.I think you are perfect together, I really do.
0:11:07 > 0:11:11Ten! I wish you all the luck in the world, but I enjoy it, that is the
0:11:11 > 0:11:12main thing.
0:11:12 > 0:11:13APPLAUSE
0:11:13 > 0:11:14Dancing the Charleston, Mollie King, and her partner, AJ Pritchard.
0:11:17 > 0:11:27MUSIC: Wings.
0:13:06 > 0:13:16APPLAUSE
0:13:18 > 0:13:31Yes! Mollie and AJ, ladies and gentlemen. Superb start to the show!
0:13:31 > 0:13:39Just fabulous! You are so brave! Yes!
0:13:39 > 0:13:40Wow, those lifts Yes!
0:13:40 > 0:13:45Where did they come from?
0:13:45 > 0:13:52Your Nana Eileen is going to be very proud of you.
0:13:52 > 0:13:55While you two soak it all in, let's say hello to our fabulous
0:13:55 > 0:13:56live singers, Hayley, Jamie, Andrea, Tommy
0:13:56 > 0:13:58and, of course, Dave Arch and his brilliant orchestra!
0:13:58 > 0:13:59APPLAUSE
0:13:59 > 0:14:03Good to see Dave getting into the holiday spirit!
0:14:03 > 0:14:04Let's chat to the judges.
0:14:04 > 0:14:09Has Mollie found her dancing wings, Shirley?
0:14:09 > 0:14:14What a way to open the show in Blackpool. You certainly found your
0:14:14 > 0:14:18wings, let me tell you what I liked this evening. You had slow movements
0:14:18 > 0:14:22and slow, sensual movements, and you came out and you gave it some attack
0:14:22 > 0:14:26and you hit some lifts, very difficult, and you executed them
0:14:26 > 0:14:28while so I was pleased with you today.
0:14:28 > 0:14:35Thank you so much! Smiling, that is a good sign.AJ,
0:14:35 > 0:14:40that is all you had to do, let the bird out of the cage! Let her take
0:14:40 > 0:14:45flight! , down, upside down, spinning
0:14:45 > 0:14:53around! Like a ride down on the pleasure Beach. It is as much fun.
0:14:53 > 0:14:57Much more confidence and strength. Still some of the links sometimes,
0:14:57 > 0:15:01you look like you are losing direction, where are we are going?
0:15:01 > 0:15:04You have to keep concentration all the way through.
0:15:04 > 0:15:09Great improvement, very good.Thank you!
0:15:09 > 0:15:11Let's ask the swivel king what he thought
0:15:11 > 0:15:15of your Charleston, Craig?
0:15:15 > 0:15:21There was no time at which made the footwork clumpy and erratic, I
0:15:21 > 0:15:25thought. You sometimes had a floppy foot, you
0:15:25 > 0:15:30had to choose to point it or flex it but not in between.
0:15:30 > 0:15:38But those lifts were and absolute dream!
0:15:38 > 0:15:45I am so glad he ended on a positive. I thought there was a lot of
0:15:45 > 0:15:51position, it was really exact. Incredibly impressive lifts, very
0:15:51 > 0:15:57daring. Just the one where you got turned around and the shoulders
0:15:57 > 0:16:01started to go out. Hold the frame. You are getting better. Well done.
0:16:01 > 0:16:09APPLAUSE You are getting better. Well done.
0:16:09 > 0:16:14Well done!
0:16:14 > 0:16:15Mollie and AJ!
0:16:15 > 0:16:22APPLAUSE
0:16:22 > 0:16:27That is how you do it. How does it feel?
0:16:27 > 0:16:30It is a huge honour to open the show.
0:16:30 > 0:16:35The most incredible TV show. The crowd are on fire. Thank you so much
0:16:35 > 0:16:43to everyone. The atmosphere is extraordinary. You
0:16:43 > 0:16:48have this extraordinary respect for dancers. You went to the winter
0:16:48 > 0:16:52gardens last night. I went to watch. It was
0:16:52 > 0:16:55unbelievable, so good. I have fallen in love with dancing.
0:16:55 > 0:16:56Scores are in.
0:16:56 > 0:16:57The judges have their scores.
0:16:57 > 0:16:59Craig Revel Horwood.
0:16:59 > 0:17:00Six.

0:17:10 > 0:17:11Eight.
0:17:11 > 0:17:17Bruno Tonioli.
0:17:17 > 0:17:20Eight. Your second-highest score, very well done.

0:18:58 > 0:19:00Thank you.
0:19:00 > 0:19:03Tess.
0:19:03 > 0:19:06Our next couple is Susan Calman and her partner,
0:19:06 > 0:19:07Kevin Clifton.
0:19:07 > 0:19:11APPLAUSE
0:19:11 > 0:19:14Their paso doble is based on the movie Strictly
0:19:14 > 0:19:16Ballroom, where a novice overcomes the
0:19:16 > 0:19:17competition, and triumphs against all odds.
0:19:17 > 0:19:19Will life imitate art tonight?
0:19:19 > 0:19:20We're about to find out.
0:19:20 > 0:19:29APPLAUSE
0:19:29 > 0:19:35How did you enjoy this weekend? It was pretty amazing. I love you in
0:19:35 > 0:19:40your suit. It's how I imagine our wedding picture would be.
0:19:40 > 0:19:46I think you have danced from your heart, you have come huge strides.
0:19:46 > 0:19:52Blackpool. Who knew? Not me.
0:19:52 > 0:20:02We are doing the paso doble to the final song in Strictly ballroom.
0:20:02 > 0:20:06Everything is different. The judges will be looking for Susan, even
0:20:06 > 0:20:12though she is small, to be a giant, she will have two fill the ballroom
0:20:12 > 0:20:14with her dominance and presence and power.
0:20:14 > 0:20:21We are doing the end scene from the film, I saw it as a kid, it has been
0:20:21 > 0:20:27inspiring me for my whole life. The final scene is a dramatic 1980s
0:20:27 > 0:20:31.com petition. Kevin takes Susan to the cinema for his vision of the
0:20:31 > 0:20:38dance. This bit gives me chills.
0:20:38 > 0:20:45There are a lot of flamenco moves. We need to capture the drama and
0:20:45 > 0:20:49intensity. The costumes are amazing.
0:20:49 > 0:20:53Incredible costumes. You will look just like that, that it is, the
0:20:53 > 0:21:02famous move. Oh, yes. Amazing. There is so much
0:21:02 > 0:21:06to remember, the posture, the intensity. I hope we can do it well
0:21:06 > 0:21:07in Blackpool.
0:21:07 > 0:21:09APPLAUSE in Blackpool.
0:21:09 > 0:21:10CHEERING
0:21:10 > 0:21:14Dancing the paso doble, Susan Calman and her partner Kevin Clifton!
0:21:19 > 0:21:29MUSIC: Scott and Fran's Paso Doble
0:23:01 > 0:23:06APPLAUSE
0:23:06 > 0:23:16CHEERING
0:23:24 > 0:23:33Come on over here. Superb. A superb performance, one of my all time
0:23:33 > 0:23:38favourite movies. Good fun.
0:23:38 > 0:23:45Will they see off the competition with that performance, Bruno?
0:23:45 > 0:23:52Susan, the drama queen. Somewhere between Penelope Cruz and pantomime
0:23:52 > 0:23:58queen. My favourite was the flamenco section, building up like a pressure
0:23:58 > 0:24:04cooker. About to explode. Great intensity, but be careful to keep
0:24:04 > 0:24:11everything big. All the shaping. Not just your face but the body. At
0:24:11 > 0:24:15times, it looked like a paso doble that had shrunk in the wash.
0:24:15 > 0:24:19Everything as to be powerful not just in the face.
0:24:19 > 0:24:23But great fun.
0:24:23 > 0:24:25Craig, you scored Susan a five last week.
0:24:25 > 0:24:28How was her paso tonight?
0:24:28 > 0:24:37Well, it needed more of everything, more intent, purpose, dramatic
0:24:37 > 0:24:42shaping in the body. Deliberate and stronger use of the skirt, for
0:24:42 > 0:24:47instance. The approach was a little bit too soft.
0:24:47 > 0:24:55But... I agree with Bruno. I absolutely loved that flamenco,
0:24:55 > 0:25:04that was excellent. What we don't appreciate is how fast
0:25:04 > 0:25:11this ballroom is it is daunting. When you have to fill it, it is
0:25:11 > 0:25:15difficult. There were moments where you were trying to catch up. It is
0:25:15 > 0:25:22about getting down and using those soft knees to travel. The
0:25:22 > 0:25:28exaggeration of shaping. Again, those flamenco stamps sold it for
0:25:28 > 0:25:35me. Shirley?
0:25:35 > 0:25:41I like to think there was a nice mix of paso doble but I do believe the
0:25:41 > 0:25:46Flamengo Park have to be kept inside the body, you can't go out with
0:25:46 > 0:25:53those. The paso can go outside sometimes.
0:25:53 > 0:25:58If you took the skirt to the very end and released it, that would have
0:25:58 > 0:26:02pleased Craig. He covered the floor very well. And
0:26:02 > 0:26:14I think you did well, well done. The audience loved it. Well done.
0:26:14 > 0:26:16You have done yourself proud and blackballed proud.
0:26:16 > 0:26:17Susan and Kevin!
0:26:17 > 0:26:18APPLAUSE
0:26:18 > 0:26:28CHEERING
0:26:30 > 0:26:35the audience with you every step of the way.
0:26:35 > 0:26:41It feels extraordinary in here. It is absolutely amazing, his dream
0:26:41 > 0:26:46paso doble, in Blackpool. You wanted to do this since you were
0:26:46 > 0:26:50eight, you have been bedding Strictly and finally they said, you
0:26:50 > 0:26:55go. How was it? Since I was eight, it
0:26:55 > 0:27:02has been a dream to do that number, and here with Susan, now one of my
0:27:02 > 0:27:10best mates, and unbelievable moment. All my goals are here. Fantastic.
0:27:10 > 0:27:11Scores are in.
0:27:11 > 0:27:12The judges have their scores.
0:27:12 > 0:27:15Craig Revel Horwood.
0:27:15 > 0:27:16Five.
0:27:17 > 0:27:20Darcey Bussell.
0:27:20 > 0:27:21Six.
0:27:21 > 0:27:23Shirley Ballas.
0:27:23 > 0:27:24Seven.
0:27:24 > 0:27:26Bruno Tonioli.
0:27:26 > 0:27:33Seven.
0:27:33 > 0:27:40You are so adorable. You get a five, you are, that is OK!
0:27:40 > 0:27:42That will be perfect.
0:27:42 > 0:27:44If you don't want Susan and Kevin's number to be up,
0:27:44 > 0:27:47then you will need to make sure that they get your vote
0:27:47 > 0:27:48when it opens later.
0:27:48 > 0:27:51All the details you need to see them dance again next week
0:27:51 > 0:27:53are on your screen right now.
0:27:53 > 0:27:54Still to come.
0:27:54 > 0:27:55Gemma goes Downtown.
0:27:55 > 0:27:57It's like Uptown, but a bit further down!
0:27:57 > 0:28:04Tess.
0:28:04 > 0:28:07Next to dance is Debbie McGee and her partner, Giovanni Pernice.
0:28:07 > 0:28:13APPLAUSE
0:28:13 > 0:28:16They're doing a samba, the party dance.
0:28:16 > 0:28:18Blackpool, are you ready to party some more?
0:28:18 > 0:28:21AUDIENCE:Yes!
0:28:21 > 0:28:24Good.
0:28:24 > 0:28:27Then get ready for Debbie McGee to Spice Up Your Life!
0:28:27 > 0:28:34APPLAUSE
0:28:34 > 0:28:41Saturday night was fun. I loved that salsa.
0:28:41 > 0:28:46Everyone loved the salsa, it had the fluidity.
0:28:46 > 0:28:50He swung me around with one hand. I am proud of that lift because no one
0:28:50 > 0:28:55has done it on Strictly. Incredibly impressive. Only eight
0:28:55 > 0:28:59couples are left and we are going to Blackpool. You really feel a sense
0:28:59 > 0:29:06of achievement. This week, we are going to dance a
0:29:06 > 0:29:12samba to the Spice Girls. All their songs were fun and happy,
0:29:12 > 0:29:17I am really looking forward to it. Are you ready? I don't think so.
0:29:17 > 0:29:20Look at your shoes, you need Latin shoes.
0:29:20 > 0:29:26I had better get my Latin shoes. Let us do some samba. One of the
0:29:26 > 0:29:33hardest things is the samba roll. I am finding the samba roll rather
0:29:33 > 0:29:38like a sausage roll! It is difficult.
0:29:38 > 0:29:43And again. It is a really weird movement which stretches your hip
0:29:43 > 0:29:48muscles. I need to soak in a bath. This samba is killing me. I didn't
0:29:48 > 0:29:55realise there was so much to learn. I mustn't forget about.
0:29:55 > 0:29:59The bounce action is fundamental to samba.
0:29:59 > 0:30:03Never stop bouncing. I am feeling like a bouncy ball but I am having
0:30:03 > 0:30:06fun. It has been a hard week training.
0:30:06 > 0:30:11Just about got the samba roll, just have to remember to bounce and don't
0:30:11 > 0:30:12make any mistakes.
0:30:15 > 0:30:17Dancing the samba, Debbie McGee and her partner,
0:30:17 > 0:30:20Giovanni Pernice!
0:30:20 > 0:30:23APPLAUSE
0:30:23 > 0:30:33MUSIC: Wannabe.
0:31:25 > 0:31:35MUSIC: Who Do You Think You Are?
0:32:09 > 0:32:10APPLAUSE
0:32:10 > 0:32:21CHEERING
0:32:27 > 0:32:34Brilliant! Listen to that! You were worried about the bounce, you had
0:32:34 > 0:32:38the whole place bouncing! Super! It is all priceless.
0:32:38 > 0:32:39Let's see what the judges thought...
0:32:39 > 0:32:42What they really, really thought.
0:32:42 > 0:32:47Starting with Scary Spice, Craig?
0:32:47 > 0:32:55I thought it was a little bit spiky, a little bit stiff. I would like to
0:32:55 > 0:32:59see the rolls a little bit smoother, but I loved that you'd dropped into
0:32:59 > 0:33:03the splits after that. And the timing, I thought was absolutely
0:33:03 > 0:33:11exceptional. Yes! Thank you.Well, I loved your
0:33:11 > 0:33:15shadow rolls. The curve, the upper body, it got better and better, very
0:33:15 > 0:33:20impressive. Beautifully travelled on your promenade runs as well. The
0:33:20 > 0:33:25only think it was lacking in energy by the very end, which I have never
0:33:25 > 0:33:29seen you do in the past so the only thing is, keep that energy and that
0:33:29 > 0:33:36stamina, keep it strong. Stamina. What did you think of the
0:33:36 > 0:33:41samba rolls? You have the most amazing vertical line through your
0:33:41 > 0:33:48body so everything looks easy on the eye. The Shadow reverse roll is one
0:33:48 > 0:33:51person standing behind the other and you have to reach far forward with
0:33:51 > 0:33:58your hips and far back and you do/ cross, back sides together and keep
0:33:58 > 0:34:01one rhythm going slowly with your arms, you are outstanding in that
0:34:01 > 0:34:08roll! And the reverse rolls. Outstanding! Bruno. Thank you for
0:34:08 > 0:34:16printing girl Power to the Tower! By the way, if never danced better! I
0:34:16 > 0:34:22love it. For me, it was a great tribute to pop icons. Placed very
0:34:22 > 0:34:26well, it was cheeky and it was funny. I agree with the other
0:34:26 > 0:34:30judges, the rolls, I tell you, they were sizzling.Excellent
0:34:30 > 0:34:35performance, great Street.Thank you! It is girl Power and you've got
0:34:35 > 0:34:41it, let's hear it for Debbie and Giovanni. Thank you so much.
0:34:41 > 0:34:46APPLAUSE
0:34:46 > 0:34:50Well done, darling. If somebody told you five years ago you would be in
0:34:50 > 0:34:54Blackpool Tower Ballroom dancing dressed as Geri Halliwell with this
0:34:54 > 0:34:59one, would you have gone, no, don't be ridiculous? I would think they
0:34:59 > 0:35:04were mad! The dancers do not come as naturally to you, how did you find
0:35:04 > 0:35:08that?I just totally enjoyed the night. I don't know what I did, I
0:35:08 > 0:35:14just had a great time! And ginger spies herself, that is not her name!
0:35:14 > 0:35:17She sent a message. Yes, yesterday. Lovely.
0:35:17 > 0:35:19The scores are in.
0:35:19 > 0:35:20The judges have their scores.
0:35:20 > 0:35:22Craig Revel Horwood.
0:35:22 > 0:35:23Seven.
0:35:23 > 0:35:24Seven.
0:35:24 > 0:35:26Darcey Bussell.
0:35:26 > 0:35:26Eight.
0:35:26 > 0:35:27Eight.
0:35:27 > 0:35:29Shirley Ballas.
0:35:29 > 0:35:30Nine.
0:35:30 > 0:35:31Nine.
0:35:31 > 0:35:34Bruno Tonioli.
0:35:34 > 0:35:40Nine.Happy with that? Very well done.
0:35:40 > 0:35:42Very well done.
0:35:42 > 0:35:45If you loved Debbie and Giovanni's Samba, you can either...
0:35:45 > 0:35:49A) Slam your body down and wind it all around.
0:35:50 > 0:35:52Or, B) Vote for them.
0:35:52 > 0:35:56Your choice.
0:35:56 > 0:35:58And voting will open after all our couples have danced.
0:35:58 > 0:36:00Still to come, Davood becomes Bond.
0:36:00 > 0:36:01Tess.
0:36:01 > 0:36:03Next to dance is Jonnie Peacock and his partner, Oti Mabuse.
0:36:03 > 0:36:05APPLAUSE
0:36:05 > 0:36:11Tonight, they're doing a Tango to the song 'Sweet Dreams'.
0:36:11 > 0:36:13And after last week, he's hoping it won't lead
0:36:13 > 0:36:14to the nightmare of another Dance-Off.
0:36:14 > 0:36:19APPLAUSE
0:36:19 > 0:36:23I liked the Foxtrot with you, it felt like we were connected and
0:36:23 > 0:36:27everything moved well. Some of the footwork was OK but at week eight,
0:36:27 > 0:36:32it needs to improve. It is not nice when the red light hits you.
0:36:32 > 0:36:36Blackpool was at stake it added to the tension of the night.
0:36:36 > 0:36:44Jonnie. Jonnie.Jonnie and Oti. Being that close would be hard not
0:36:44 > 0:36:48to make it Blackpool, it is incredible. This week, we have a
0:36:48 > 0:36:55tango.It is fast and staccato. Jonnie is picking up a headache from
0:36:55 > 0:37:01the speed of his head. You've got to do it quite sharp! Our dance is
0:37:01 > 0:37:07futuristic. Neon lights. It would be amazing if we went to the iconic
0:37:07 > 0:37:11Blackpool Tower and turned on the Tower lights. We have to show them
0:37:11 > 0:37:17Strictly is in town. There it is, Jonnie, the iconic Blackpool Tower.
0:37:17 > 0:37:21It's a bit dark and it needs sunlight. How do we get up there? We
0:37:21 > 0:37:27climb! Really? No, there is a lift. Doing anything this weekend? We are
0:37:27 > 0:37:31dancing this weekend. This is how we turn the lights on, are we doing it?
0:37:31 > 0:37:39Let's do it! All right.Wow! Can we change the lights? Yes, I can change
0:37:39 > 0:37:48the lights with my phone. What colour? Yellow. Lou. Yellow! Blue! I
0:37:48 > 0:37:52think we have broken it. We had a bit of fun today. Which ended up
0:37:52 > 0:37:57with was breaking the Tower.Let's get out of here.Jonnie! Slightly
0:37:57 > 0:38:02awkward, not sure if we are going to get up again.
0:38:03 > 0:38:05Dancing the Tango, Jonnie Peacock and his partner, Oti Mabuse.
0:38:05 > 0:38:11APPLAUSE
0:38:11 > 0:38:12Activate!
0:38:14 > 0:38:24MUSIC: Sweet Dreams.
0:39:54 > 0:40:02CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:40:02 > 0:40:08Wow!
0:40:08 > 0:40:13It is Jonnie and Oti! They are on their feet in the Tower Ballroom. So
0:40:13 > 0:40:14good, brilliant!
0:40:14 > 0:40:18So good, brilliant!
0:40:18 > 0:40:20A futuristic Tango.
0:40:20 > 0:40:23But has he got a future on the show, Darcey?
0:40:23 > 0:40:29I thought Flash Gordon had just arrived! When you came out, the
0:40:29 > 0:40:32focus, thank you so much. The determination, the attack was all
0:40:32 > 0:40:39there, just what I wanted! Very nice clip the transitions as well. I
0:40:39 > 0:40:45would like if your frame had become slightly lower and you could store
0:40:45 > 0:40:48even more just bending those knees. I could see you were working really
0:40:48 > 0:40:54hard at holding those shoulders back and your topline. That bottom is
0:40:54 > 0:40:59still sticking out, sadly. You have moments by the end where you started
0:40:59 > 0:41:04leaning on Oti but a big difference come well done.
0:41:04 > 0:41:04The moody face.
0:41:04 > 0:41:06The moody face.
0:41:06 > 0:41:11Will that Tango be giving you sweet dreams, Bruno?
0:41:11 > 0:41:15I'm trying to dream in my mind how to help you with your posture. I
0:41:15 > 0:41:20think you need to think about the tail bone of your spine pointing
0:41:20 > 0:41:23downwards. And your chest. Everything needs to be in a straight
0:41:23 > 0:41:27line, not too far forward. In a straight line. When the vertical
0:41:27 > 0:41:31line becomes much stronger, the legs operate much better. The frame is a
0:41:31 > 0:41:41little bit better, but still posture has got to be better.Bruno.I like
0:41:41 > 0:41:48the techno- Tango. You look like you were chasing around with
0:41:48 > 0:41:52determination, whizzing and turning. There was a section, you were so
0:41:52 > 0:41:58well in sync. You kept all the same angles. With the three professional
0:41:58 > 0:42:07dancers. But let's talk about your bomb! You've got irreversible bum
0:42:07 > 0:42:12syndrome. You are obsessed. I see it every
0:42:12 > 0:42:16week and you say, I'm going to keep it in. You kept sticking it out.
0:42:16 > 0:42:20That stops you having the right stance because you keep moving
0:42:20 > 0:42:25forward. Apart from the bum, I like the techno- tango.
0:42:25 > 0:42:27He likes the bum secretly as well.
0:42:27 > 0:42:29He likes the bum secretly as well.
0:42:29 > 0:42:32I hope you're going to score him more than a four this week, Craig.
0:42:32 > 0:42:37You were leaning over Oti like the Tower of Pisa. And that means we
0:42:37 > 0:42:41missed the all-important fee shaping that you have to really try and
0:42:41 > 0:42:49achieve. It is also stompy for my liking. Also, I didn't feel like you
0:42:49 > 0:42:53were leading the dance, I felt like you're reacting to Oti rather than
0:42:53 > 0:43:03reading her. Rubbish! Not rubbish actually, Darcey Bussell. But I
0:43:03 > 0:43:11loved, loved the routine. We all loved the Tango, didn't we,
0:43:11 > 0:43:13ladies and gentlemen? Thank you very much.
0:43:13 > 0:43:14Thank you very much.
0:43:14 > 0:43:15Jonnie and Oti!
0:43:15 > 0:43:17APPLAUSE
0:43:17 > 0:43:25Good job, my lovely. I tell you what, we thought it was
0:43:25 > 0:43:28magnificent.You enjoyed it as well. I did enjoy it but we knew the Tango
0:43:28 > 0:43:33was going to be tricky and the posture was a challenge so we tried
0:43:33 > 0:43:38but I guess we forgot. Maybe I didn't focus enough.No, it was
0:43:38 > 0:43:44perfect. We liked it just like that. Just like that. Your best friend
0:43:44 > 0:43:47Martin is here with your girlfriend, Sally. So sweet, he was looking
0:43:47 > 0:43:54quite furtive with the judges comments. He was the first person to
0:43:54 > 0:43:59push me in my wheelchair. He went to school and I feel like he had just
0:43:59 > 0:44:03started school, sorry, and I came back and I feel like you just needed
0:44:03 > 0:44:08a friend so he pushed me.Thank you, Martin, we love you, come every
0:44:08 > 0:44:11week! If you want, they might not want to. Well done, it was
0:44:11 > 0:44:11fantastic.
0:44:11 > 0:44:12The scores are in.
0:44:12 > 0:44:14The judges have their scores.
0:44:14 > 0:44:16Craig Revel Horwood.
0:44:16 > 0:44:16Six.
0:44:16 > 0:44:17Six.
0:44:17 > 0:44:19Darcey Bussell.
0:44:19 > 0:44:20Seven.
0:44:20 > 0:44:21Seven.
0:44:21 > 0:44:22Shirley Ballas.
0:44:22 > 0:44:23Six.
0:44:23 > 0:44:24Six.
0:44:24 > 0:44:25Bruno Tonioli.
0:44:25 > 0:44:32Seven. Well done. Five more than last week,
0:44:32 > 0:44:33we thought it was fantastic.
0:44:33 > 0:44:36Five more than last week, we thought it was fantastic.
0:44:36 > 0:44:38If you thought Jonnie and Oti's tango to Sweet Dreams
0:44:38 > 0:44:40was an excellent addition to the show, then please vote.
0:44:40 > 0:44:43All the details you need to keep them in the competition
0:44:43 > 0:44:46are on your screen now and the vote will open later on.
0:44:46 > 0:44:47There is still all this to come...
0:44:47 > 0:44:54Well done. The Quickstep is so, so fast. I just
0:44:54 > 0:45:01have to make sure I don't step on Gorka's feat.Choreography is tricky
0:45:01 > 0:45:08places, it will tricky! Aljaz has said for my eyes, look
0:45:08 > 0:45:12over the rainbow, from one side to the other. It is about making it all
0:45:12 > 0:45:15come together at the right time and the right time is Blackpool on
0:45:15 > 0:45:19Saturday.
0:45:19 > 0:45:20I can't wait to see all that.
0:45:20 > 0:45:23We are having such a nice time here in Blackpool.
0:45:23 > 0:45:29What have you got there, Claud?
0:45:29 > 0:45:33It is a seagull and he needs in this, I am good to see if I can find
0:45:33 > 0:45:36him one.
0:45:36 > 0:45:42Next up is Gemma Atkinson and her partner, Aljaz Skorjanec.
0:45:42 > 0:45:45Gemma's been to Blackpool many times on family holidays,
0:45:45 > 0:45:49but never in her wildest dreams did she think she'd be dancing
0:45:49 > 0:45:51an American Smooth in this beautiful ballroom.
0:45:51 > 0:45:54Did you find a nest for that seagull, Claud?
0:45:54 > 0:45:56Well, it was the strangest thing.
0:45:56 > 0:46:00He just flew off.
0:46:00 > 0:46:05I hope he found his nest.
0:46:05 > 0:46:06LAUGHTER
0:46:06 > 0:46:13APPLAUSE
0:46:13 > 0:46:18How did you find last Saturday? Everything you put into which was
0:46:18 > 0:46:26lovely, I really enjoyed Saturday. Out of all the steps in our Viennese
0:46:26 > 0:46:31waltz, the hardest was the fleckerl which is when the shoe came off. But
0:46:31 > 0:46:33you recovered. And you didn't lose your posture.
0:46:33 > 0:46:42Incredible.Cinderella lost her shoe and she still got to go to the wall.
0:46:42 > 0:46:45We are dancing and American Smooth foxtrot.
0:46:45 > 0:46:52I am struggling with pushing with the standing leg, difficult when you
0:46:52 > 0:46:57are in heels, a lot to think of. She is really starting to understand
0:46:57 > 0:47:03how controlled it has two B. That is it. Our dance is set in a
0:47:03 > 0:47:09tram in Blackpool, so what better way than to travel in style in a
0:47:09 > 0:47:19tram. We are in Blackpool!
0:47:19 > 0:47:25I used to come here with my dad. He passed away when I was 17.
0:47:25 > 0:47:30It is tinged with a little bit of... Sightseeing is fabulous, we have
0:47:30 > 0:47:38seen the illuminations, the tower am the ride, it has been great.
0:47:38 > 0:47:43I feel like I am a kid again. And doing our dance will be
0:47:43 > 0:47:47beautiful for you. I can't wait for her to enjoy it.
0:47:47 > 0:47:51We have had an amazing time but it is time to get some work done and
0:47:51 > 0:47:53put on a cracking performance in that ballroom.
0:47:53 > 0:47:55APPLAUSE
0:47:55 > 0:47:57Dancing the American Smooth, Gemma Atkinson and her partner
0:47:57 > 0:47:59Aljaz Skorjanec!
0:47:59 > 0:48:01APPLAUSE
0:48:04 > 0:48:14MUSIC: Downtown.
0:49:42 > 0:49:47CHEERING
0:49:47 > 0:49:57APPLAUSE
0:50:08 > 0:50:14I love it, we are so proud of you. You did so well.
0:50:14 > 0:50:21I am so proud. I can tell.
0:50:21 > 0:50:26I bet you thoroughly enjoyed that. Did they do the Tower Ballroom
0:50:26 > 0:50:31justice? You must be a really great student,
0:50:31 > 0:50:36you listen and you listen some more. It takes a great lady to listen to
0:50:36 > 0:50:42the way the man is leading. Some beautiful arm styling, you have made
0:50:42 > 0:50:48me emotional. To the correct of -- correct side of the body, the head
0:50:48 > 0:50:52was in the correct place, your energy was incredible.
0:50:52 > 0:51:00Bruno? With this performance, it had a
0:51:00 > 0:51:06weightless flow which was magic. Graceful, elegant, exquisite use of
0:51:06 > 0:51:12arms. You are getting better every week. It is good to see somebody who
0:51:12 > 0:51:19applies everything you say, you work, combat and it gets better,
0:51:19 > 0:51:26fantastic. Getting better.
0:51:26 > 0:51:31You were taking your pivots on your toe. And your fingers, although
0:51:31 > 0:51:35you're shaping of the hands is improved, there was a bit too much
0:51:35 > 0:51:47energy in them. But beautiful control, the lines flowed well. And
0:51:47 > 0:51:50you were listening to corrections and improving.
0:51:50 > 0:51:59That is fantastic to see, beautiful. APPLAUSE.
0:51:59 > 0:52:04The quality throughout, the tracking of the feet, such control. You kept
0:52:04 > 0:52:09your body taut and strong, beautiful finishes of those lines, I really
0:52:09 > 0:52:17loved it. Making an improvement just when it
0:52:17 > 0:52:19mattered the most, raising the ballroom roof.
0:52:19 > 0:52:28APPLAUSE.
0:52:34 > 0:52:41You really are emotional. So proud. What I love, you said, I am home.

0:52:51 > 0:52:58and stepdad are here, your mum has applied for Strictly Blackpool
0:52:58 > 0:52:59tickets so many times. And she's here.
0:52:59 > 0:53:00Scores are in.
0:53:00 > 0:53:01The judges have their scores.
0:53:01 > 0:53:03Craig Revel Horwood.

0:53:09 > 0:53:10Nine.
0:53:10 > 0:53:13Shirley Ballas.
0:53:13 > 0:53:16Ten.
0:53:16 > 0:53:23Bruno Tonioli.
0:53:23 > 0:53:28Ten.
0:53:28 > 0:53:35Your first ten. Look how happy he is.
0:53:35 > 0:53:37If you loved Gemma and Aljaz's beautiful American Smooth, then
0:53:37 > 0:53:40you will need to make sure they get your vote.
0:53:40 > 0:53:44All the details you need are on screen now.
0:53:44 > 0:53:46And voting will open once all our
0:53:46 > 0:53:51couples have performed.
0:53:51 > 0:53:54Well done.
0:53:54 > 0:53:57Still to come.
0:53:57 > 0:53:59Alexandra and Gorka are dancing surrounded by coins.
0:53:59 > 0:54:00Well, it'll make a nice "change"!
0:54:00 > 0:54:01Tess.
0:54:01 > 0:54:04Our next couple is Davood Ghadami and his partner Nadiya Bychkova.
0:54:04 > 0:54:10APPLAUSE
0:54:10 > 0:54:12They're doing a James Bond-themed paso doble,
0:54:12 > 0:54:13to the song Live And Let Die.
0:54:13 > 0:54:16So, stand by for a routine that could leave
0:54:16 > 0:54:17you shaken and stirred.
0:54:17 > 0:54:19APPLAUSE
0:54:23 > 0:54:29I am so proud of you this weekend. The weekend was good.
0:54:29 > 0:54:34The response from the judges was... Amazing.
0:54:34 > 0:54:38Never thought I would hear him say that.
0:54:38 > 0:54:47I can't believe it, incredible. Bring on Blackpool.
0:54:47 > 0:54:53This week, we are dancing the paso doble and we are dancing to this
0:54:53 > 0:54:56James Bond theme so I get to play James Bond, brilliant.
0:54:56 > 0:55:02The most important thing is the body shape. If it is not right, it will
0:55:02 > 0:55:08look like walking around. Paso doble is a strong dance, about
0:55:08 > 0:55:13hitting the right shapes, it is quite dark and intense.
0:55:13 > 0:55:19Because it is Blackpool, we have to go big. You are going to parachute
0:55:19 > 0:55:22onto the floor. I have arranged a little treat.
0:55:22 > 0:55:28Nadiya has a great idea of taking me to an indoor skydiving centre to see
0:55:28 > 0:55:30what it feels like. Ready?
0:55:30 > 0:55:38Yes, ready. Indoor skydiving, you have to keep your hips forward, any
0:55:38 > 0:55:41wrong moment and you are spinning all over the place. I am training
0:55:41 > 0:55:50and having fun. I always have fun when I am training, Nadiya!
0:55:50 > 0:56:00I think I have the hang of this now. James Bond. I just hope on Saturday
0:56:00 > 0:56:03our paso doble blows the public and the judges away.
0:56:03 > 0:56:05CHEERING
0:56:05 > 0:56:07Dancing the paso doble, Davood Ghadami and his partner
0:56:07 > 0:56:08Nadiya Bychkova!
0:56:10 > 0:56:17MUSIC: Live And Let Die.
0:57:58 > 0:58:06CHEERING
0:58:06 > 0:58:16APPLAUSE
0:58:17 > 0:58:21So good, listen to that. Listen to the audience. So much drama.
0:58:21 > 0:58:27So masculine. Never shied away from complex routines, very good.
0:58:27 > 0:58:28Joint top last week.
0:58:28 > 0:58:30You never shy away from complex routines, do you?
0:58:30 > 0:58:33Bruno, did that put you in double-O heaven?
0:58:33 > 0:58:40Mission accomplished! I think you have earned your licence
0:58:40 > 0:58:45to thrill. And the outfit to go with it, by the way.
0:58:45 > 0:58:52Any time of the week. I was slightly distracted, darling,
0:58:52 > 0:58:56but I did notice your hands were a little bit splayed. But a powerful
0:58:56 > 0:59:05performance, incredible. The sparks were flying between you,
0:59:05 > 0:59:09it was strong, the attack, the drama. Those arms and fingers, very
0:59:09 > 0:59:18splayed. But very strong shaping and everything, the drama.
0:59:18 > 0:59:25A very dramatic performance from a very masculine man but I have two
0:59:25 > 0:59:30commend your twist and turn, you swivelled your foot, a very
0:59:30 > 0:59:35difficult figure and it was extremely impressive, well done.
0:59:35 > 0:59:44Your first time in Blackpool. Off you go. What a performance.
0:59:44 > 0:59:45CHEERING
0:59:50 > 0:59:57Well done! Sometimes, the first week, the you were the most scared,

1:00:29 > 1:00:29Nine.
1:00:29 > 1:00:30Nine.
1:00:30 > 1:00:33Bruno Tonioli.
1:00:33 > 1:00:40Nine.Second-highest score.Great, that is fantastic!
1:00:40 > 1:00:42Great, that is fantastic!
1:00:42 > 1:00:44If you enjoyed their paso, and would like to see Davood
1:00:44 > 1:00:47and Nadiya dance again next week, please vote for them.
1:00:47 > 1:00:49All the details you need are on your screen now.
1:00:49 > 1:00:51And voting will open later on in the show.
1:00:51 > 1:00:52Still to come...
1:00:52 > 1:00:57Joe has a giant eight-foot-wide clock.
1:00:57 > 1:00:58Yes.
1:00:58 > 1:00:59Yes.
1:00:59 > 1:01:02And, if you think that's big, you should see the size
1:01:02 > 1:01:03of his bedside table!
1:01:03 > 1:01:04Tess.
1:01:04 > 1:01:06Next to dance live is Alexandra Burke and her
1:01:06 > 1:01:07partner, Gorka Marquez.
1:01:07 > 1:01:14APPLAUSE
1:01:14 > 1:01:19Last week's intense Argentine Tango saw them score a massive 38.
1:01:19 > 1:01:22Tonight, they're doing a Quickstep to 'We're In The Money'.
1:01:22 > 1:01:25And they're hoping to hit the jackpot with the judges again.
1:01:25 > 1:01:27APPLAUSE
1:01:27 > 1:01:37How amazing was that day?It was insane. What an honour to do the
1:01:37 > 1:01:43first Argentine tango of the series. Incredible! We had to nine, nine,
1:01:43 > 1:01:48ten, ten. This was my favourite! At all the dances we have done, this
1:01:48 > 1:01:52was the top for me. But Blackpool, we are dancing the
1:01:52 > 1:01:59quick stop any giant revolving coin. You are doing something weird. I
1:01:59 > 1:02:02think every single dance has been the most challenging but this right
1:02:02 > 1:02:08here, it has the stamina part, I'm like, what? It is intense.Going to
1:02:08 > 1:02:15Blackpool!So excited! We are dancing on coins so we should go to
1:02:15 > 1:02:18an arcade, a classic British seaside activity, we have to go.
1:02:18 > 1:02:22In which people know how to have fun!Ready to experience the true
1:02:22 > 1:02:30Blackpool arcade?Ready!Let's do it! I seem to be a natural at the
1:02:30 > 1:02:38Penny push but Gorka, not so much!I lost all my pennies and Alexandra
1:02:38 > 1:02:41won all of them.Gorka had a chance to redeem himself by playing air
1:02:41 > 1:02:45hockey.This is the one I used to play all the time and I thought I
1:02:45 > 1:02:52was quite good. Come on!No, no! She beat me again. Third time lucky,
1:02:52 > 1:02:56Gorka and I went to the type grabber and I really wanted that teddy bear!
1:02:56 > 1:03:01You want that teddy bear, and brings you a teddy bear!It says, I love
1:03:01 > 1:03:06you!I love you too. Today has been amazing, I feel like a five-year-old
1:03:06 > 1:03:10kid. Hopefully, we have better luck with our Quickstep than Gorka had
1:03:10 > 1:03:11today at the arcade.
1:03:11 > 1:03:12today at the arcade.
1:03:12 > 1:03:13APPLAUSE

1:05:27 > 1:05:27that!
1:05:27 > 1:05:29You are enjoying every moment of that!
1:05:29 > 1:05:31I think you covered every single inch of the floor,
1:05:31 > 1:05:33which is no mean feat.
1:05:33 > 1:05:39Joint top last week along with Davood.
1:05:39 > 1:05:43Was she bang on the money?
1:05:43 > 1:05:47Gapping at the end, but is there nothing you can't do? Incredible,
1:05:47 > 1:05:56amazing!Thank you. Darcey. Gorka, I love this choreography. What you did
1:05:56 > 1:06:01with the Charleston bits. And you know what? Alexandra, the strength
1:06:01 > 1:06:07in your topline, with the bounce of this dance floor, not to show any of
1:06:07 > 1:06:16that, it was effortless. Just gorgeous!Gorgeous!I also loved the
1:06:16 > 1:06:20musicality you did in this routine. I didn't see any gapping from where
1:06:20 > 1:06:24I'm sitting so you looks like you are connected together really well
1:06:24 > 1:06:27and the music was quite fast coming kept up with it, we were all
1:06:27 > 1:06:32bouncing here! You were so energetic, it was full of life and
1:06:32 > 1:06:38light and bright, well done. Thank you! Bouncing on this lovely

1:06:53 > 1:06:57with, I mean, it was magic. I could not see any effort in what you did
1:06:57 > 1:07:00and you did something that could come out of a classic Hollywood
1:07:00 > 1:07:09movie.It was that good. Beautiful! What comments! We think you are a
1:07:09 > 1:07:16golden partnership. Tears again! You are gorgeous. Claudia has a tissue.
1:07:16 > 1:07:17Claudia has a tissue.

1:07:29 > 1:07:36these amazing people! I love you all so much, honestly. They love you as
1:07:36 > 1:07:40well, the camaraderie is amazing. And you often speak to somebody and
1:07:40 > 1:07:46each week, you also crying, Gorka. Each week, people go, I have had,
1:07:46 > 1:07:51this is a harder stance. But you said, no, I'm loving it! I wanted

1:08:46 > 1:08:48It's a must!
1:08:48 > 1:08:54Our final couple is Joe McFadden and his partner, Katya Jones.
1:08:54 > 1:08:55APPLAUSE
1:08:55 > 1:08:59For their salsa, they'll be dancing to a club classic from the '90s.
1:08:59 > 1:09:03So turn the lights down, prepare to throw some shapes
1:09:03 > 1:09:06and get your glow sticks at the ready, as Joe
1:09:06 > 1:09:07and Katya 'Ride on Time'!
1:09:07 > 1:09:11APPLAUSE
1:09:11 > 1:09:21My goodness, we got through the rumba with a nine from Shirley.
1:09:21 > 1:09:24Exquisite job, well done. You did amazing coming you did so well!I
1:09:24 > 1:09:28wanted to go through every week but this week, I really wanted to go
1:09:28 > 1:09:36through. So happy.Salsa in Blackpool.It is going to be epic.
1:09:36 > 1:09:41Yes, let's do it! There is pressure this week to make it a big, bad,
1:09:41 > 1:09:44brilliant salsa because we are in Blackpool, the home of ballroom. I
1:09:44 > 1:09:49need to give the audience something special.It's a big number, a lot
1:09:49 > 1:09:53going on, we have to have a lot of energy moves in this salsa and one
1:09:53 > 1:09:55of the greatest moves is the chess pump.
1:09:55 > 1:10:01The crazy! We need to make sure it is not just the arms shaking, it is
1:10:01 > 1:10:06his entire body, the rib cage is going. And you've got to let loose.
1:10:06 > 1:10:11As long as I get my chest down! This series has been really building
1:10:11 > 1:10:14up to this moment. I never thought I would be so
1:10:14 > 1:10:19excited about going to Blackpool! This week, we are doing right on
1:10:19 > 1:10:24time. I thought, wouldn't it be great if you fly in on the clock?
1:10:24 > 1:10:29Oh. A bit scared of heights.No? A little bit.What better way to
1:10:29 > 1:10:33prepare than to go to that! You are entering the ballroom on the clock,
1:10:33 > 1:10:40it is going to be a little bit like riding on this wheel. But not this
1:10:40 > 1:10:44high? You never know!It is pretty big! Great, we should do some
1:10:44 > 1:10:48rehearsals. It has been really great being here
1:10:48 > 1:10:51in Blackpool and hopefully, it is our time to shine on the dance
1:10:51 > 1:10:52floor.
1:10:52 > 1:10:54it is our time to shine on the dance floor.
1:10:54 > 1:10:55APPLAUSE
1:10:55 > 1:10:57Dancing the salsa, Joe McFadden and his partner, Katya Jones.
1:10:57 > 1:11:05APPLAUSE
1:11:05 > 1:11:15MUSIC: Ride On Time.
1:12:51 > 1:13:01CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
1:13:05 > 1:13:15Well done!My goodness! They are on their feet for you in Blackpool!
1:13:15 > 1:13:16Strictly, raving!
1:13:16 > 1:13:17Strictly, raving!
1:13:17 > 1:13:19You just brought the house down!
1:13:19 > 1:13:24Those lifts, so many wow moments.
1:13:24 > 1:13:28You are amazing. Darcey. The energy, that was
1:13:28 > 1:13:33exciting. The attitude you brought to this, totally different. And
1:13:33 > 1:13:37very, incredibly difficult choreography with your arms and
1:13:37 > 1:13:44legs. There was some sticky moments. I just felt something was incredibly
1:13:44 > 1:13:47difficult and you are getting a little bit sticky and it was not as
1:13:47 > 1:13:52smooth as it could have been. The lifts, they were absolutely
1:13:52 > 1:13:57phenomenal as well! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE. Really
1:13:57 > 1:14:01amazing. Like anything, it is the amount of energy you throw into
1:14:01 > 1:14:04something and the balance, with those lifts at the end, where you
1:14:04 > 1:14:08can control it and you change of focus and think, this is a very
1:14:08 > 1:14:11difficult lift, I have the focus, and that is where the balance was
1:14:11 > 1:14:16thrown. But your energy and your excitement and your attitude didn't
1:14:16 > 1:14:24fail.Amazing! I wanted to join in.I think Darcey
1:14:24 > 1:14:30said it all, I agree. You came out and you had the most amazing energy.
1:14:30 > 1:14:34You can use lateral hip swing and you can use bigger eight movement.
1:14:34 > 1:14:40You want more for the lateral swing which is also acceptable. Good for
1:14:40 > 1:14:44pressure and your lifts were well done, just a nudge on the end, but
1:14:44 > 1:14:48you saved like it even asked going to... You saved it, so I was
1:14:48 > 1:14:56impressed with that. Yes!How his hips, Bruno?I don't
1:14:56 > 1:14:59think you need a hip replacement, it is all working quite well down
1:14:59 > 1:15:07there! Yu Wang still areas! Shake me, shake me! You were mental. You
