0:00:08 > 0:00:11Last week strictly packed its ballings and hot-footed to the

0:00:11 > 0:00:17seaside. Some stars illuminated the Tower

0:00:17 > 0:00:22Ballroom.24 carat gold.While others didn't shine so brightly.It

0:00:22 > 0:00:28needed more of sort of everything. But in the end it was Jonny whose

0:00:28 > 0:00:34roller-coaster came to a halt. This week, our celebrities's work

0:00:34 > 0:00:40loads are doubling.Training for one dance was tough enough. Now we have

0:00:40 > 0:00:45two very different dances. We will be side by side dancing

0:00:45 > 0:00:50competitively for the first time.? This will be the first ever paso

0:00:50 > 0:00:55doble-athon.One slip and there be no hiding. To win this competition

0:00:55 > 0:00:57you have to stand out from the crowd.

0:01:44 > 0:01:47Live from the BBC, this is Strictly Come Dancing!

0:01:47 > 0:01:54Please welcome your hosts, Tess Daly...

0:02:16 > 0:02:18Hello, and welcome to Strictly Come Dancing!

0:02:18 > 0:02:22In last week's Blackpool special, we saw some truly spectacular

0:02:22 > 0:02:25performances, and it was Alexandra who quickstepped her way

0:02:25 > 0:02:28to the top of the leaderboard with a near perfect score of 39.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31In a shock dance-off, it was Jonnie and Oti and Debbie

0:02:31 > 0:02:35and Giovanni who faced each other, and sadly, it was

0:02:35 > 0:02:38Jonnie who lost out.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40We are now left with seven celebrities who will have

0:02:40 > 0:02:44to raise their game once more if they want to make it to next

0:02:44 > 0:02:45week's quarterfinal.

0:02:45 > 0:02:46Also tonight, we have a Strictly exclusive.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49Our couples will be taking part in our first ever paso-dobla-thon.

0:02:49 > 0:02:56Capes optional.

0:02:56 > 0:02:57I'm already on board.

0:02:57 > 0:02:59All seven couples will be competing against each other,

0:02:59 > 0:03:02at the same time, on this dance floor, which means extra marks up

0:03:02 > 0:03:06for grabs for everyone.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08And dishing out those extra marks will be these four.

0:03:08 > 0:03:12Please welcome the judges.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15Darcey Bussell.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18Bruno Tonioli.

0:03:40 > 0:03:44They're eager to impress you not once, but twice.

0:03:44 > 0:03:45So let's get them out here.

0:03:45 > 0:03:49Please welcome our Strictly stars.

0:03:50 > 0:03:55EastEnders star Davood Ghadami and his partner, Nadiya Bychkova.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21Singer and theatre star Alexandra Burke and her

0:04:21 > 0:04:28partner, Gorka Marquez.

0:04:28 > 0:04:39CHEERING AND APPLAUSE .

0:04:39 > 0:04:40CHEERING AND APPLAUSE .

0:04:40 > 0:04:42And then there were seven.

0:04:42 > 0:04:45The group may be getting smaller but we're expecting big things

0:04:45 > 0:04:46in the ballroom tonight.

0:04:46 > 0:04:49You will be able to vote for your favourites later on.

0:04:49 > 0:04:51Your votes will be added to the judges' scores to decide

0:04:51 > 0:04:54which two couples will face the dance-off in Sunday

0:04:54 > 0:04:56night's result show.

0:04:56 > 0:05:04And dancing first tonight is Joe and his partner, Katya.

0:05:04 > 0:05:08For tonight's dance they're a couple of workers building

0:05:08 > 0:05:09a New York skyscraper.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13After last week's flying clock, we know Joe's got a head for heights

0:05:13 > 0:05:17but has he got the fast feet for the quickstep?

0:05:20 > 0:05:26How was Blackpool?I really enjoy it. I thought it was brilliant.To

0:05:26 > 0:05:30put op an ambitious routine, I was having a ball.That was exciting.

0:05:30 > 0:05:38The attitude you brought to this dance.What a routine.

0:05:38 > 0:05:43We want to take risks. . Safe is not a good thing to be. And to still be

0:05:43 > 0:05:51here, week ten. I am so proud of you. Well done.Salsa. Tick.

0:05:51 > 0:05:56Today has been very tiring. The hardest part of the quickstep is

0:05:56 > 0:05:59maintaining the energy, and remembering which rhythms you are

0:05:59 > 0:06:08going into. What did I do wrong? It is set on a skyscraper. So we get to

0:06:08 > 0:06:14go to New York?No but we might take it to new heights.

0:06:14 > 0:06:22It is the shard. When the lift doors opened, oh, this is high. It was

0:06:22 > 0:06:27overwhelming. You can see all of London, from one point. Look at the

0:06:27 > 0:06:33view. Spectacular. London Eye. Tower Bridge. It is such a beautiful

0:06:33 > 0:06:38place. It is awe-inspiring.Now we have seen this amazing London

0:06:38 > 0:06:41skyline, remember that feeling, and you have to channel it into your

0:06:41 > 0:06:46dance. Let us hope we are both on Cloud

0:06:46 > 0:06:48Nine after performing at the weekend.

0:06:48 > 0:06:51weekend.

0:06:51 > 0:06:56Dancing the quickstep, Joe McFadden and his partner, Katya Jones.

0:06:58 > 0:07:08MUSIC: Jumpin' Jack by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.

0:08:51 > 0:09:03APPLAUSE You will need a lie down after that.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06What an energetic quickstep, they are on their feet. A good start for

0:09:06 > 0:09:13Joe. Brilliant.

0:09:13 > 0:09:15While you two get your breath back, let's welcome our

0:09:15 > 0:09:16fabulous live singers.

0:09:16 > 0:09:19It's Hayley, Lance, Andrea, Tommy and of course Dave Arch

0:09:19 > 0:09:23and his brilliant orchestra.

0:09:23 > 0:09:27APPLAUSE Fantastic.

0:09:27 > 0:09:28APPLAUSE Fantastic.

0:09:28 > 0:09:29What an energetic quickstep.

0:09:29 > 0:09:33Shirley, you love Joe's energy, did you love that?

0:09:33 > 0:09:38You are definitely going on your way to next week. You were unbelievable!

0:09:38 > 0:09:46So let me tell you, you had a mixture between basic steps,

0:09:46 > 0:09:52intermediate steps and advanced. You had beautiful chassises, double the

0:09:52 > 0:09:56time, so many things, in there, your posture was great. When you took

0:09:56 > 0:10:01your hand and put them behind your back and you went opposite side by

0:10:01 > 0:10:07side, that is a well-known technique in my industry and it is for superb

0:10:07 > 0:10:10dancers that get that sensitivity of touch between two people. It was

0:10:10 > 0:10:14superb! APPLAUSE

0:10:14 > 0:10:22High praise. The sky is the limit for Joe.

0:10:22 > 0:10:28Excellent workmanship. Master builder Joe. Solid technique,

0:10:28 > 0:10:32beautiful detail, especially the footwork. It was so light, so

0:10:32 > 0:10:39accurate and yet you managed to enhance all the rhythmal subtleties

0:10:39 > 0:10:44in the music. Everything was spot on. I love that hopping round step

0:10:44 > 0:10:47you did, that was just brilliant. By the way...

0:10:47 > 0:10:51APPLAUSE You can build my extension any time,

0:10:51 > 0:10:57darling. After this. I will book you in. For a refit.Craig?I thought

0:10:57 > 0:11:03you were holding a bit of tension in your top line. But, I have to admit

0:11:03 > 0:11:07it was clean, it was light, it was bright, the phasing through the

0:11:07 > 0:11:13whole dance was exceptional, the use of the floor, in fact stupendous

0:11:13 > 0:11:18darling. Stupendous. Darcey?Wonderfully

0:11:18 > 0:11:21authentic, it was a gorgeous routine, it was quick, light,

0:11:21 > 0:11:25spirited. How you played with the music as the judges have said, I

0:11:25 > 0:11:28would say your right elbow was bobbing a little bit, if you could

0:11:28 > 0:11:34fix that, it is true, but how you filled the floor with the skip,

0:11:34 > 0:11:42skip, oh... Skip, skip, such wonderful moves. Brilliant.Thank

0:11:42 > 0:11:47you so much.Fantastic comments. Can't rest on your laurels. The paso

0:11:47 > 0:11:51doble is later on. Great start. Well done, Joe and Katya.

0:11:51 > 0:11:58CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:11:59 > 0:12:05Well done. I love, during the comments you looked very happy but

0:12:05 > 0:12:08it is your face, because you must be so proud of him, you worked very

0:12:08 > 0:12:14hard, I know there was a dance strap you hate. That is getting burned.

0:12:14 > 0:12:19She knows what it could be, so that is why she is happy. You enjoyed it.

0:12:19 > 0:12:23It must have been hard, you were on such a high after Blackpool but to

0:12:23 > 0:12:31get back in the training room, I think you said it is like Cheaming

0:12:31 > 0:12:35Everest in flip-flops on MondaysYou keep on going. He worked so hard.

0:12:35 > 0:12:40The energy for the dance we kept building the stamina.Well done. The

0:12:40 > 0:12:42scores are in.

0:12:42 > 0:12:46The judges have their scores.

0:12:56 > 0:12:56Climbing Everest

0:12:58 > 0:13:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Wow. Wow.That could have been such

0:13:06 > 0:13:12a different story.That is your highest score. You haven't had a ten

0:13:12 > 0:13:17for a while.It has been far too long.

0:13:17 > 0:13:22Very well done. Well done do you and your choreography, if you thought

0:13:22 > 0:13:25the quickstep was an excellent start and you want to give them your vote

0:13:25 > 0:13:30all the details you need are on the screen now.

0:13:30 > 0:13:31Please don't call yet as voting won't open

0:13:31 > 0:13:33until the end of the show.

0:13:33 > 0:13:35Now later on, all of our couples will take part

0:13:35 > 0:13:36in the paso-dobla-thon.

0:13:36 > 0:13:40So to get us all in the mood, it's time for a little

0:13:40 > 0:13:46Spanish guitar and some terms and conditions.

0:13:46 > 0:13:49Calls to the short number from a mobile cost 15p.

0:13:49 > 0:13:51Calls to the long number cost 15p plus your network's access

0:13:51 > 0:13:54charge and please ask the bill payer's permission.

0:13:54 > 0:13:56You can vote online by visiting bbc.co.uk/strictly where you will

0:13:56 > 0:14:00also find terms and conditions.

0:14:00 > 0:14:02The vote won't open until after the paso-

0:14:02 > 0:14:07dobla-thon, so please don't vote until then as your vote won't count

0:14:07 > 0:14:10and you may be charged.

0:14:10 > 0:14:14Thanks, Ramon.

0:14:14 > 0:14:19Tess.

0:14:19 > 0:14:26Next up, it's Alexandra and her partner, Gorka.

0:14:26 > 0:14:30Alexandra is really enjoying her Strictly experience.

0:14:30 > 0:14:33It's fair to say she's fallen in love with dance.

0:14:33 > 0:14:42And tonight, she's performing the dance of love, the rumba.

0:14:42 > 0:14:46I loved Blackpool. I knew it was going to be fun, it was going to be

0:14:46 > 0:14:52an epic week. I didn't think it would be that good. The detail, the

0:14:52 > 0:14:57style, the accuracy, it was magic. You did something that could come

0:14:57 > 0:15:02out of a classic Hollywood movie. It was that good.

0:15:02 > 0:15:09Every dream box was ticked, because of that moment.

0:15:09 > 0:15:14We are dancing the rumba to the song A low by Beyonce. One of my greatest

0:15:14 > 0:15:19achievements was to sing with Beyonce. When I listen to this song

0:15:19 > 0:15:24it reminds me of the People around me who are so loving and supportive.

0:15:24 > 0:15:29The rumba is very slow. It means we have to fill all the movements

0:15:29 > 0:15:34between the steps with our body and hips. The rumba is really hard.

0:15:34 > 0:15:38Because it is so slow and how emotionally attached I am to the

0:15:38 > 0:15:44song, I am finding it difficult to relax. To help with the motion,

0:15:44 > 0:15:49Gorka has invited along Alexandra boyfriend.I want you two to try to

0:15:49 > 0:15:54dance the rumba together so we can get the feeling we will create when

0:15:54 > 0:15:59we are dancing. Let's give it a go. One, very good, two. Josh has helped

0:15:59 > 0:16:06me to relax. I hope I can channel that emotion into the dance with

0:16:06 > 0:16:10Gorka.Good luck with the dance on Saturday. I will be watching and

0:16:10 > 0:16:12sending you lots of love.

0:16:12 > 0:16:15Dancing the rumba, Alexandra Burke and her partner, Gorka Marquez.

0:16:15 > 0:16:17MUSIC: "Halo" by Beyonce.

0:17:55 > 0:18:05CHEERING

0:18:09 > 0:18:11Alexandra and Gorka, gorgeous. Beautiful when you dance.

0:18:11 > 0:18:14Your boyfriend's watching at home I'm sure he enjoyed that.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16And you enjoyed dancing to that song.

0:18:16 > 0:18:17Yes.

0:18:17 > 0:18:23Top of the leaderboard last week, how did Alexandra do tonight, Bruno?

0:18:23 > 0:18:29Well, we got the drama of the week sorted, the torment, the conflicted

0:18:29 > 0:18:32emotions, it was like a couple going through a break-up and then getting

0:18:32 > 0:18:39back together at the end. It was really like a drama set to music. I

0:18:39 > 0:18:44like very much the interpretation. At times, I felt like you could have

0:18:44 > 0:18:48extended a little bit more the lines. It was so acted that you

0:18:48 > 0:18:52could have stretched a little bit more through your body, especially

0:18:52 > 0:18:58on the hips, but I was very intrigued by the performance.Thank

0:18:58 > 0:19:06you. The passion.Craig. You needed straight lens in your rumba waltz.

0:19:06 > 0:19:14The reaches, as Bruno said, you need to fondle extend them. Further

0:19:14 > 0:19:18expert -- further extend them. I thought you were missing the

0:19:18 > 0:19:22placement. Unlike Bruno, I felt it was more of the technical display

0:19:22 > 0:19:28and I felt it lacked any connection and chemistry. I really did. It is

0:19:28 > 0:19:32only my opinion. But you should be proud of yourself, it was a

0:19:32 > 0:19:39beautiful dance.Thank you. Darcey. I can see you have worked incredibly

0:19:39 > 0:19:43hard trying to finish of those lines with your feet and everything. There

0:19:43 > 0:19:49were some really nice accents. This was the first time I have seen you

0:19:49 > 0:19:53not express, it is the music, you have such an ability to express the

0:19:53 > 0:20:00music through your body. For me, I was not seeing that desire, and as

0:20:00 > 0:20:05Craig said, that connection, which was unusual. I would have liked to

0:20:05 > 0:20:09see more caress and resistance through the floor of your feet, but

0:20:09 > 0:20:14you are stunning dance.I just expect more. They are getting very

0:20:14 > 0:20:20picky. The quarterfinals are only a week away.As your resident rumba

0:20:20 > 0:20:24expert, where do you stand? I thought you had quite nice emotion.

0:20:24 > 0:20:32That part was good. I feel that perhaps, when you dance to your

0:20:32 > 0:20:35cha-cha, you got over this brilliantly straight leg, you locked

0:20:35 > 0:20:40it and moved your body weight over it. To date look like your feet were

0:20:40 > 0:20:45in front of your body. You wanted to step. You stepped on every beat of

0:20:45 > 0:20:52the music. There are four beats, three steps, and one should be a

0:20:52 > 0:20:57halt. The whole part is the part where you can give more emotion. If

0:20:57 > 0:21:01you are constantly moving on every single step, busy, busy, you do not

0:21:01 > 0:21:06have that moment in time. But you are a great performer, you will come

0:21:06 > 0:21:17back strong, well done.Thank you. Not your best comments, but three

0:21:17 > 0:21:20weeks to the final, they are getting picky. You can come back fighting in

0:21:20 > 0:21:24the paso-dobla-thon. Let's hear it for Alexandra and Gorka.

0:21:24 > 0:21:30CHEERING

0:21:30 > 0:21:35Well done. Thank you. You love the quickstep last week on that bouncy

0:21:35 > 0:21:41floor.Talk about a gear change? Yes, one fast and once loved. You

0:21:41 > 0:21:44were worried because you said if it is law they will see all my

0:21:44 > 0:21:49mistakes.It is important to grow and learn. I enjoyed this dance. I

0:21:49 > 0:21:52felt so great with you and I had a wonderful time on stage but it is

0:21:52 > 0:21:57good to get that kind of criticism so I can work towards something and

0:21:57 > 0:22:03hopefully get better.OK, good girl. Well done.

0:22:03 > 0:22:06The scores are in.

0:22:06 > 0:22:08The judges have their scores.

0:22:18 > 0:22:26I felt the Halo. That is great. I thought it was going to be worse.

0:22:26 > 0:22:29Very well done.

0:22:29 > 0:22:32If you don't want Alexandra and Gorka to be out of the competition,

0:22:32 > 0:22:35then you will need to make sure they get your vote.

0:22:35 > 0:22:38All the details you need to see them dance again next week

0:22:38 > 0:22:39are on your screen now.

0:22:39 > 0:22:42Please don't call yet as the vote won't open until later on.

0:22:42 > 0:22:45Still to come, Mollie and AJ quickstep and Debbie and Giovanni

0:22:45 > 0:22:46perform an Argentine tango.

0:22:46 > 0:22:47Tess.

0:22:47 > 0:22:52Next tonight, Gemma and her partner, Aljaz.

0:22:52 > 0:22:57This week, Gemma's doing a samba, the party dance,

0:22:57 > 0:23:00and after receiving her first tens of the series for last

0:23:00 > 0:23:02week's American smooth, she's got plenty to celebrate.

0:23:02 > 0:23:07The routine starts with them in bed. I bet she's dreaming of a place in

0:23:07 > 0:23:12the quarterfinal.What a cracking weekend we had.Saturday night Fever

0:23:12 > 0:23:18in Blackpool. It is too good to be true. That is what it felt like on

0:23:18 > 0:23:22Saturday.I had to keep pinching myself. You got a standing ovation

0:23:22 > 0:23:30from Shirley. Two names, two tens. Hi-fi.This week we are doing the

0:23:30 > 0:23:36samba. The samba is a lot more complicated than what I thought. It

0:23:36 > 0:23:41is so confusing. There is a lot to it, it is hard. The samba is fast

0:23:41 > 0:23:46and punchy. It sounds like Thai boxing. You know that outside of

0:23:46 > 0:23:52dancing I do Thai boxing. Do you fancy seeing what it is all about?

0:23:52 > 0:23:58Yes. Really? Years. OK, Aljaz, this is without train.Let's get some

0:23:58 > 0:24:10gloves on. I am scared. I've even skipped like a dancer. I think

0:24:10 > 0:24:15coming here is definitely going to help. Seeing Gemma, how much energy

0:24:15 > 0:24:19she has when she does boxing, we need to put that on the ballroom

0:24:19 > 0:24:28floor.Just being in this environment has given me a little

0:24:28 > 0:24:32boost of energy, more confidence. Hopefully we will have a knockout

0:24:32 > 0:24:38performance on Saturday.

0:24:38 > 0:24:40Dancing the samba, Gemma Atkinson and her partner, Aljaz Skorjanec.

0:24:41 > 0:24:49MUSIC: "The River of Dreams" by Billy Joel.

0:26:20 > 0:26:30CHEERING

0:26:32 > 0:26:36Gemma and Aljaz. The crowd are going wild. Come on. They are sleeping on

0:26:36 > 0:26:46the job. Come on. You can leave your pyjamas over there. You're

0:26:46 > 0:26:53exhausted. Well done.

0:26:53 > 0:26:55Craig, you were blown away by her ballroom last week.

0:26:55 > 0:26:59How was her Latin tonight?

0:26:59 > 0:27:03In the promenade, your hands looked like soup ladles. You need to sort

0:27:03 > 0:27:10them out. It was lumpy and awkward at times. I felt this dance exposed

0:27:10 > 0:27:18your weaknesses, sadly.Rubbish. The dream has turned into a nightmare.

0:27:18 > 0:27:23Darcey. The whole narrative of this dance was a little strange. It was a

0:27:23 > 0:27:28sleepy party and I wanted it to come alive and have the vibe of the

0:27:28 > 0:27:31carnival like the samba should be. It never woke up for me. It kind of

0:27:31 > 0:27:38came through your body, the posture and everything. Craig is right, that

0:27:38 > 0:27:42free arm was not really directed. The body should follow through right

0:27:42 > 0:27:46into the arm, it should have direction as much as your legs and

0:27:46 > 0:27:52feet. All those technical things. I do not believe this is your dance.

0:27:52 > 0:27:58What do you think, Shirley?I quite liked the bedroom scene. They looked

0:27:58 > 0:28:03as snug as a bug in a rug. You look like you did not want to get up but

0:28:03 > 0:28:08once you got started... Let me clarify what I feel Craig means by

0:28:08 > 0:28:13lumpy. When you hit the promenade run you do one, two, three and you

0:28:13 > 0:28:17do the movement. The non-standing like should be passing beneath the

0:28:17 > 0:28:22body ready for the next step. It should be like one, two, three. That

0:28:22 > 0:28:26is what gives the feeling that it stops a little bit and it can lead

0:28:26 > 0:28:34lumpy. You did a nice Volta. I was quite pleased.Well done.Focus on

0:28:34 > 0:28:45that. Thanks, Aljaz.Bruno. It was an absolutely perfect samba with a

0:28:45 > 0:28:49hangover. It was the morning after the night before. Absolutely right.

0:28:49 > 0:28:56I have been there myself. Quite a few times. Get on with it. The thing

0:28:56 > 0:29:00is, you cannot let the interpretation, which I thought was

0:29:00 > 0:29:07very clever, you have to try different things to keep interest.

0:29:07 > 0:29:10But the interpretation stop to the rhythm flowing through your body.

0:29:10 > 0:29:14The samba is almost like being hypnotised. You never lose that

0:29:14 > 0:29:18sense of rhythm. It is continuous. I think it is because you were trying

0:29:18 > 0:29:24to play so many different parts, you lost it a bit, but it was very cute.

0:29:24 > 0:29:28Sometimes you try things and they work better than others, but good

0:29:28 > 0:29:34for you for trying something different.Thank you. Those are the

0:29:34 > 0:29:41comments. You have another dance to go.I do not understand it. I do not

0:29:41 > 0:29:46speak English.Off you go.

0:29:52 > 0:29:57You smashed it. Well done darling.

0:29:57 > 0:30:01Last week again, was absolutely amaze, you didn't like the samba,

0:30:01 > 0:30:05you didn't like the rolling.I did enjoy that, I thought it was fun to

0:30:05 > 0:30:09do a dance that was different to the last one.Bruno loved the fact you

0:30:09 > 0:30:15were trying something different. Thank you Bruno.I would rather try

0:30:15 > 0:30:21and fail than not try.I am really proud of you.

0:30:21 > 0:30:23An excellent voltas, whatever they are.

0:30:23 > 0:30:24An excellent voltas, whatever they are.

0:30:24 > 0:30:25The scores are in.

0:30:25 > 0:30:31The judges have their scores.

0:30:44 > 0:30:51Massive progress! It is normally the other way round. It is normally the

0:30:51 > 0:30:51celebrity...

0:30:51 > 0:30:53It is

0:30:53 > 0:30:56If you enjoyed Gemma and Aljaz's samba and you want to see them

0:30:56 > 0:30:58dance again next week, then please vote for them.

0:30:58 > 0:31:01All the details you need are up on your screen now and voting

0:31:01 > 0:31:02will open after the paso-dobla-thon.

0:31:02 > 0:31:12There is all of this still to come.

0:31:14 > 0:31:19It has been an intense week, every part of my body aches, I have a

0:31:19 > 0:31:24friction burn on my side. Things are getting more serious.

0:31:24 > 0:31:29Think about beat and whether you are low and high on the steps. A lot to

0:31:29 > 0:31:33take in. It is vital that you move when you

0:31:33 > 0:31:36are meant to, because otherwise you end up kicking each other and

0:31:36 > 0:31:40getting entwined in each other.I have to pick up the pace, I am

0:31:40 > 0:31:46moving like a snail. I need to get going.Do the correct steps.Oh,

0:31:46 > 0:31:49that is a good tip!

0:31:49 > 0:31:50Oh, that is a good tip!

0:31:50 > 0:31:53I can't wait to see all that, and I'm really looking forward

0:31:53 > 0:31:55to Susan's routine set on a cruise ship.

0:31:55 > 0:31:57Where is Susan going on her cruise ship?

0:31:57 > 0:31:58Alaska.

0:31:58 > 0:32:00OK, because I would like to know.

0:32:00 > 0:32:02Alaska!

0:32:02 > 0:32:04Good.

0:32:04 > 0:32:06And when she tells you, let me know.

0:32:06 > 0:32:10Alaska, Claud, Alaska!

0:32:10 > 0:32:19If it's too much trouble, I'll ask her myself.

0:32:19 > 0:32:27Our next couple is Mollie and her partner, AJ.

0:32:27 > 0:32:30Tonight they're dancing to a swing version of the Rihanna song

0:32:30 > 0:32:32Umbrella, so get ready for a quickstep from

0:32:32 > 0:32:35Mollie and her brolly.

0:32:41 > 0:32:47Blackpool was amazing. When we were doing that spin, for the first time

0:32:47 > 0:32:50ever, everything went into slow motion, it was a feeling I will

0:32:50 > 0:32:55never forget. Really you are getting better, well done.

0:32:55 > 0:33:02All I can do is my best, if she sees an improvement, that is the biggest

0:33:02 > 0:33:08compliment I could ask for. This week we have the quickstep, I

0:33:08 > 0:33:14am so excited about it, this looks so much fun. You have to be like

0:33:14 > 0:33:18lightening round the floor, the fact I have to move fast is daunting.

0:33:18 > 0:33:25Daunting.Have to be revenge niced together, we have to stay calm

0:33:25 > 0:33:29together so we stay matched.I get so nervous on the Saturday night, I

0:33:29 > 0:33:34know last time we did a ballroom I tripped up. I need to build my

0:33:34 > 0:33:40confidence up. Here a timely visit from her biggest fan. You are so big

0:33:40 > 0:33:46aren't you. This afternoon my nephew and sister came down to visit us.

0:33:46 > 0:33:51Did you watch us dancing? Shall we watch it again?Yes.I have the best

0:33:51 > 0:33:57family in the world. Their support means everything to me. We love

0:33:57 > 0:34:01watching Mollie dancing an we can't wait for Saturday. William loved the

0:34:01 > 0:34:06dance. I hope more than anything I don't let them down this weekend.

0:34:06 > 0:34:08Auntie Mollie.

0:34:08 > 0:34:10Auntie Mollie.

0:34:10 > 0:34:12Dancing the quickstep, Mollie King and her partner, AJ Pritchard.

0:34:12 > 0:34:22MUSIC: "Umbrella" by The Base-balls.

0:36:06 > 0:36:13CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Yes, yes.Beautiful job. Beautiful

0:36:13 > 0:36:17job Mollie and AJ. Standing ovation in the studio. Well done.

0:36:17 > 0:36:23Listen to that. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:36:23 > 0:36:28What a reaction from the audience. That must feel good. Oh, perfectly

0:36:28 > 0:36:32matched. You have such great chemistry, I can see how hard you

0:36:32 > 0:36:33have been working.

0:36:33 > 0:36:34have been working.

0:36:34 > 0:36:37Darcey, last week you saw a real improvement, what about tonight?

0:36:37 > 0:36:44Very good Mollie. It was so confident, focussed, it was assured.

0:36:44 > 0:36:49With all that footwork, the complexity, how you kept it clean

0:36:49 > 0:36:53and crisp impressive. It is so exhausting and I could see the

0:36:53 > 0:36:56second half the shoulders started to rise, so keep those down, and you

0:36:56 > 0:37:00know it is in the feet. Making sure we never notice when you are coming

0:37:00 > 0:37:04to the end. Keep that energy level right until the very end. Well done.

0:37:04 > 0:37:08Thank you. APPLAUSE

0:37:08 > 0:37:15Shirley.Well Mollie you have made huge strides when it comes to your

0:37:15 > 0:37:20frame and the three-quarters of the way round today you were amazing, I

0:37:20 > 0:37:25agree with Darcey you ran out of stamina which affected the end. The

0:37:25 > 0:37:29way you kept your arms, like wing, they were like wings, and they flew

0:37:29 > 0:37:35this time, there was no hanging, no sagging, you kept it up. That showed

0:37:35 > 0:37:40me your core was improving, then your footwork improve, you did

0:37:40 > 0:37:45rolling pivots, you step forward, turned, that is one of the most

0:37:45 > 0:37:48difficult things. Very good.Well done, Shirley is

0:37:48 > 0:37:57applauding you. Brow know. The fog has lifted. What we have got, a

0:37:57 > 0:38:03bright, lively clear quickstep. You have improved so much. Usually, what

0:38:03 > 0:38:08happened in the past, in the flow of things you never clearly finished

0:38:08 > 0:38:13the movement, you were doing fast turn, and it was a bit wobbly at the

0:38:13 > 0:38:21end. Tonight, no, my darling, there you were, clear and crisp, keeping

0:38:21 > 0:38:23the lines beautiful, placed footwork, keep going, that is the

0:38:23 > 0:38:31way to get to the final. That is what we like to hear. Craig.

0:38:31 > 0:38:35I am seeing the effort in your footwork being reproduced in your

0:38:35 > 0:38:40top line, you dropped the ball really towards the end of it. I

0:38:40 > 0:38:43thought you were jolty on some of the runs and there was something

0:38:43 > 0:38:48happened at the end, I don't know what that was supposed to be.That

0:38:48 > 0:38:56was my fault.Whatever it was, it wasn't anything. You are making so

0:38:56 > 0:39:00much progress, I have to agree with them. Wonderful to see. It really is

0:39:00 > 0:39:05wonderful to see. They all can see improvement. Just when it matters

0:39:05 > 0:39:09the most you step it up to the place. Can't wait to see you in the

0:39:09 > 0:39:14paso doble. Well done, Mollie and AJ.

0:39:14 > 0:39:19APPLAUSE

0:39:22 > 0:39:29Well done. They love you. They love you. All you want is to hear that

0:39:29 > 0:39:34you have improved and all four said itThat is biggest compliment ever.

0:39:34 > 0:39:39I know I am not naturally the best dancer here but I am just trying so

0:39:39 > 0:39:42hard, if you can notice an improvement so that is so much for

0:39:42 > 0:39:47me and thank you for you, for putting up with me.The scores are

0:39:47 > 0:39:49in.

0:39:49 > 0:39:58The judges have their scores.

0:40:07 > 0:40:18APPLAUSE Yes!They are all shouting kiss, we

0:40:18 > 0:40:21would all like it, but, OK, we will wait till the wrap. Can I share this

0:40:21 > 0:40:28with the group. That is your first nine.I know!Plaus plaus. Week ten

0:40:28 > 0:40:34and it is your highest score.Thank you Bruno. They are shouting, OK.

0:40:34 > 0:40:38They are shouting kiss, we will ignore them. If you love the

0:40:38 > 0:40:43quickstep and want to see them next week make sure you vote.

0:40:43 > 0:40:46All the details you need to are on your screen now

0:40:46 > 0:40:50and the vote will open towards the end of the show.

0:40:50 > 0:40:59They are like, do it now. AJ. Come on!

0:41:01 > 0:41:03This has taken a weird turn.

0:41:03 > 0:41:04This has taken a weird turn.

0:41:04 > 0:41:06Still to come, Debbie is in Argentina.

0:41:06 > 0:41:09I think she took the wrong exit driving back from Blackpool.

0:41:09 > 0:41:17Dancing next is Davood and his partner Nadiya.

0:41:17 > 0:41:20Last week, Davood delivered a James Bond paso that would have

0:41:20 > 0:41:22impressed Daniel Craig, but for tonight's waltz,

0:41:22 > 0:41:30the only Craig he has to win over is this one.

0:41:32 > 0:41:37Blackpool.Amazing.I think it is the most memorable performance.

0:41:37 > 0:41:42Absolutely.I don't think I will forget itI think you have earned

0:41:42 > 0:41:47your license to thrill. To get good marks and knowing Nadiya was

0:41:47 > 0:41:53pleased. I was emotional because I felt like we achieved something

0:41:53 > 0:41:58good.Mission accomplished. It is a different style of dance

0:41:58 > 0:42:03week for Davood.Waltz in general, it is a difficult dance, especially

0:42:03 > 0:42:07for a man to lead me into every step. You have to make sure your

0:42:07 > 0:42:12weight is in the right position, your alignment, the relationship

0:42:12 > 0:42:16with your partner.Davood struggles a bit, every movement is a different

0:42:16 > 0:42:20timing.There are beats you have to hold and positions you have to hold,

0:42:20 > 0:42:23if they are not right it will be obvious. You have to remember the

0:42:23 > 0:42:27rise and fall which is important in the waltz. One and two, three. On

0:42:27 > 0:42:31the one, this is the lowest point and you start to rise on two, and on

0:42:31 > 0:42:36three is the highest point when you are on your toe, and it is again,

0:42:36 > 0:42:40one two three.Practising the one, two, three of the waltz. Even got my

0:42:40 > 0:42:46hand in the right position. One, two, three, OK. Keep working on it.

0:42:46 > 0:42:50Straighten your elbow this way.Have have been working hard all week, I

0:42:50 > 0:42:55hope we get it right when it count, because it can be such a beautiful

0:42:55 > 0:43:01ballroom dance and I didn't want to risk it not looking that way.

0:43:01 > 0:43:04ballroom dance and I didn't want to risk it not looking that way.

0:43:04 > 0:43:13Dancing the waltz, Davood Ghadami and his partner, Nadiya Bychkova.

0:43:13 > 0:43:23MUSIC: "With You I'm Born Again" by Billy Preston and Syreeta.

0:44:48 > 0:44:58CHEERING

0:45:03 > 0:45:07Wonderful. A wonderful waltz. Another standing ovation.

0:45:07 > 0:45:12Another strong performance.

0:45:12 > 0:45:13Soak it up. Beautiful.

0:45:13 > 0:45:22You've stripped things back tonight.

0:45:22 > 0:45:26He has proved himself an all-rounder. He has delivered for

0:45:26 > 0:45:32two weeks in a row.Has he done it tonight? I do believe he has. You

0:45:32 > 0:45:37have taking me back in time. Here are breath of fresh air. Matt Teale

0:45:37 > 0:45:41suit is stunning. I stripped back version of the classic waltz. The

0:45:41 > 0:45:45most beautiful clothes when you brought your feet together. Not too

0:45:45 > 0:45:51much beautiful -- not too much popping and dipping.On a beautiful

0:45:51 > 0:45:56even plain. Bruno, I'll be looking at the quarterfinal is?Definitely.

0:45:56 > 0:46:03Look at them. They look like movie stars. Gorgeous. A gorgeous waltz.

0:46:03 > 0:46:08It was stylish, it was extremely elegant, it was simple but so

0:46:08 > 0:46:16effective. I was totally charmed.We all were.Beautiful. Craig. The only

0:46:16 > 0:46:20thing it needed was more swing and sway, which is that forward and back

0:46:20 > 0:46:26were side to side movement, which is very difficult. The professionals

0:46:26 > 0:46:33have that, obviously, but elegance, Grace, taste, gentility, darling,

0:46:33 > 0:46:38simplicity, beautiful.High praise. Darcey. It was effortless. The care

0:46:38 > 0:46:46that you had on hold with Nadiya, the control, no affectations, I love

0:46:46 > 0:46:50that. The amount of travel as well and this lovely romance. My kind of

0:46:50 > 0:46:57waltz.For someone who had not dance before Strictly, you make it look

0:46:57 > 0:47:03easy. Effortlessly brilliant. It is Davood and Nadiya.

0:47:03 > 0:47:13CHEERING Very, very well done.As they said,

0:47:13 > 0:47:22Tess said and the judges said, simple. You wanted to strip it back.

0:47:22 > 0:47:26Yes, we decided to do that.Lucky socks. They are back on. Excellent,

0:47:26 > 0:47:28they have not been washed.

0:47:28 > 0:47:33The scores are in.

0:47:33 > 0:47:35Will the judges please reveal their scores?

0:47:44 > 0:47:50Very well done. The same score as last week. So happy, so happy, thank

0:47:50 > 0:47:53you.

0:47:53 > 0:47:56If you would like to see Davood and Nadiya in next

0:47:56 > 0:47:58week's quarterfinal, then you will need to

0:47:58 > 0:47:59show them your support.

0:47:59 > 0:48:02All the details you need to vote for them are up on your screen now.

0:48:02 > 0:48:03Voting will open later on.

0:48:03 > 0:48:06Plus, if you want more exclusive information about Strictly,

0:48:06 > 0:48:07then please head to the website.

0:48:07 > 0:48:09This week, Gorka reveals his horse whispering background.

0:48:09 > 0:48:12Tess.

0:48:12 > 0:48:17I know. They just did a horse impression. Everything is complete.

0:48:17 > 0:48:21Dancing next is Debbie and Giovanni.

0:48:21 > 0:48:24Last week, Debbie found herself in the bottom two

0:48:24 > 0:48:26and survived the dance-off.

0:48:26 > 0:48:30Tonight she's got to put that drama behind her and focus on the intense

0:48:30 > 0:48:38drama of the Argentine tango.

0:48:38 > 0:48:42Saturday, I really love doing the dance. I was just really sad to be

0:48:42 > 0:48:48in the dance-off. It might have been me that went. I did feel that I give

0:48:48 > 0:48:53it an extra something to prove that we deserve to still be in the

0:48:53 > 0:48:57competition.I will save Debbie and Giovanni. We have lots of hard work

0:48:57 > 0:49:00ahead of us, one of the biggest performing challenges that I have

0:49:00 > 0:49:08ever faced in my life. The Argentine tango is a really intimate dance. It

0:49:08 > 0:49:13is very, very difficult. I am really tired. My brain does not want to

0:49:13 > 0:49:17work. I felt my age today. I could not push it any further than I was

0:49:17 > 0:49:26pushing it.To help Debbie get her groove back, Giovanni takes her to

0:49:26 > 0:49:32see a demonstration by former Argentine tango world champion

0:49:32 > 0:49:38Vincent Simoni.Your noses touch, sensual.Of course. Not only do you

0:49:38 > 0:49:44dance with the top, your feet have another story to tell. It is the

0:49:44 > 0:49:48look and they embrace that you guys are going to have when you dance

0:49:48 > 0:49:52this beautiful dance. It is all about the Passion of every single

0:49:52 > 0:49:57step. I think they are going to do an amazing tango.I feel totally

0:49:57 > 0:50:03inspired. If I can perform this well, this will be one of my most

0:50:03 > 0:50:09memorable weeks on Strictly.

0:50:09 > 0:50:10Dancing the Argentine tango, Debbie McGee and her

0:50:10 > 0:50:12partner, Giovanni Pernice.

0:50:12 > 0:50:16MUSIC: "Por Una Cabeza".

0:51:52 > 0:51:58CHEERING

0:52:08 > 0:52:11Wow!

0:52:11 > 0:52:21Yes. Mesmerising. Just sensational. Look how happy Giovanni is. Listen

0:52:21 > 0:52:33to the audience. Multiple splits. So flexible. Focus, Sharp. I know the

0:52:33 > 0:52:37dance-off is not a nice place to be, but you meant business tonight. How

0:52:37 > 0:52:46did she do? Debbie, the queen of Buena ciders. More than that, you

0:52:46 > 0:52:51really use the dance floor tonight. Like it was a canvas. Your legs,

0:52:51 > 0:52:57they were like a paintbrush in the hand of a great artist. Drawing the

0:52:57 > 0:53:03most beautiful pictures you could imagine.It was splendid.Thank you.

0:53:03 > 0:53:09More artistry.Do you agree, Craig? You truly amaze me. You're totally

0:53:09 > 0:53:17unbelievable. I wish I could dance like you, my darling. I do have one

0:53:17 > 0:53:24small note, however, there is always something. Your legs, if you do this

0:53:24 > 0:53:28again, and I hope you do one day, you're like action is a little bit

0:53:28 > 0:53:35too placed. The man leads and the like should sort of plot. It should

0:53:35 > 0:53:41be a loose leg and that makes it look a little bit more spectacular,

0:53:41 > 0:53:51but while.Craig wants to be you. -- but wow.The articulation and the

0:53:51 > 0:53:56line in those legs is outstanding. Beautiful. Your balance, with the

0:53:56 > 0:54:00amount of technical detail, is extraordinary. I only have one

0:54:00 > 0:54:06little pic, and I can because you're stunning, when you had that amazing

0:54:06 > 0:54:11circle lift. If you could hold your frame. It was like you were taken by

0:54:11 > 0:54:22surprise. But my goodness, the end, that little French, I loved it. --

0:54:22 > 0:54:30little fringe.I found the whole thing to be quite emotional. I am a

0:54:30 > 0:54:3557-year-old woman, I pride myself on my balance, but I have never seen

0:54:35 > 0:54:40balance like that.Your outstanding. Thank you, judges. High praise

0:54:40 > 0:54:47indeed. What about that ladies and gentlemen?

0:54:47 > 0:54:53CHEERING

0:54:57 > 0:55:01Well done, sweetheart. You were in the dance-off. You felt that was

0:55:01 > 0:55:06going to happen but you did not mind. You have struggled this week.

0:55:06 > 0:55:12Yes, I pulled a muscle in my back three weeks ago. With all the lifts,

0:55:12 > 0:55:15it really played up, so with a couple of days left, we thought we

0:55:15 > 0:55:21would have to cut them, and I have really pushed it.Very well done.

0:55:21 > 0:55:32Working hard. The scores are in.The judges have their scores.

0:55:43 > 0:55:50Yes, yes, well done. Very, very well done. You must be over the moon with

0:55:50 > 0:55:56those scores.Jealous.

0:55:56 > 0:55:58If you thought Debbie and Giovanni's traditional Argentine tango

0:55:58 > 0:56:00was perfect, then you will need to give them your vote.

0:56:00 > 0:56:04All the details are on your screen now, and the vote will open

0:56:04 > 0:56:05at the end of the show.

0:56:05 > 0:56:05Well done.

0:56:05 > 0:56:10Still to come, the paso-dobla-thon.

0:56:10 > 0:56:11Imagine the Black Friday sales set to Spanish music.

0:56:11 > 0:56:13Tess.

0:56:13 > 0:56:15Our final couple to dance before the paso-dobla-thon

0:56:15 > 0:56:19is Susan and her partner, Kevin.

0:56:19 > 0:56:24Last week's paso saw Susan at the bottom of the leaderboard.

0:56:24 > 0:56:27Tonight's American smooth is set on board a luxury liner but will it

0:56:27 > 0:56:30be good enough to see them cruising through to next week's quarterfinal?

0:56:36 > 0:56:40To do that number in that wonderful dress, in Blackpool, was just

0:56:40 > 0:56:46brilliant.At times it looked like a paso doble that had shrunk in the

0:56:46 > 0:56:52wash.25, bottom of the leaderboard. I was sure we were going to be in

0:56:52 > 0:56:57the dance-off. Susan and Kevin. It was just the euphoria of thinking

0:56:57 > 0:57:03that we were going to go through. Well done. This week we are dancing

0:57:03 > 0:57:10the American smooth foxtrot to beyond the sea.At courting couple

0:57:10 > 0:57:14on the deck of the ship, having a romantic dance. I should get you

0:57:14 > 0:57:20more in the mood so I have arranged a trip on the Waverley, the world's

0:57:20 > 0:57:25last seagoing paddle steamer. That sounds great. Shall we have Anna

0:57:25 > 0:57:38Holligan five.Ahoy. -- an ahoy five.Here we go. And we are there.

0:57:38 > 0:57:43Kevin, it is like Titanic, so romantic. Here we go. This is where

0:57:43 > 0:57:48the action is. We have had a great day. Susan took me the Waverley. I

0:57:48 > 0:57:54was pretending I was captain, steering the ship. How inspired do

0:57:54 > 0:57:58you feel about our dance?Inspired enough to dance right now. We have

0:57:58 > 0:58:06worked really hard in the training week. I hope it is full steam ahead

0:58:06 > 0:58:10for are American smooth.

0:58:10 > 0:58:12Dancing the American smooth, Susan Calman and her

0:58:12 > 0:58:13partner, Kevin Clifton.

0:58:13 > 0:58:14MUSIC: "Beyond The Sea" by Bobby Darin.

0:59:51 > 0:59:57CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:00:06 > 1:00:09You American smoothie, that was lovely. Well done. Well done.Thank

1:00:09 > 1:00:17you.I think I counted three lifts. Yes.One very high one.Some lovely

1:00:17 > 1:00:22bench work too. Craig, has Susan done enough to stay away from the

1:00:22 > 1:00:27bottom of the leader board?Probably not. There was gapping, your feet

1:00:27 > 1:00:32never closed, your hand were plonky, timing issue, getting on to and off

1:00:32 > 1:00:36the bench. Legs had a mind of their own in that last lift. You need to

1:00:36 > 1:00:40think about where you are going to put them. As an entertainment piece

1:00:40 > 1:00:46I thought it was sweet and charmingfulDarcey.There was a

1:00:46 > 1:00:50glimmer of Hollywood films there, it was cool, charge, sophisticated and

1:00:50 > 1:00:58it was never overdone, which was nice, it was subtle. I could see you

1:00:58 > 1:01:02had your Fred Astaire, you could have have crated more -- created

1:01:02 > 1:01:05more sweeping lines, in the transitions you get the feet

1:01:05 > 1:01:10together every time to make sure they are cleaning it up. I enjoyed

1:01:10 > 1:01:13the lovely liftings and everything. A bit more of that would have been

1:01:13 > 1:01:19fabulous.Shirley?Think you looked beautiful today Susan, I want to

1:01:19 > 1:01:26comment on that.Thank you.Your setting, the music the cheeky kiss

1:01:26 > 1:01:29with Kevin, the entertainment factor for the audience is outstanding but

1:01:29 > 1:01:33it is coming to that time in the competition where you need

1:01:33 > 1:01:38particularly in this dance, to feel your standing leg flexed and long

1:01:38 > 1:01:41strides back, much more technique I would have liked today in the

1:01:41 > 1:01:46foxtrot. It missed out on that but you did do some entertain work.

1:01:46 > 1:01:54Thank you very much.Bruno?Beyond the sea and beyond belief. I was

1:01:54 > 1:01:57going to scream iceberg ahead, she's going to go down, but you didn't.

1:01:57 > 1:02:03You were saved by the bench. She went up and down so many times it

1:02:03 > 1:02:08was like a bouncing ball. But the thing is with you, you have at this

1:02:08 > 1:02:12stage you are beyond criticism, what you do, you do a charming turn, I

1:02:12 > 1:02:20love watching you, people love watching you, you are approachable.

1:02:20 > 1:02:24But they all say technically you are not quite as advanced as you could

1:02:24 > 1:02:29be at this stage, so, if you stay in apply a bit more technique because

1:02:29 > 1:02:32entertainment value is there, but technically you need to work a bit

1:02:32 > 1:02:38harder.OK, no problem. Thank you very much indeed.Hugely

1:02:38 > 1:02:44entertaining and you have one more dance to go.Absolutely.

1:02:44 > 1:02:49CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

1:02:58 > 1:02:58Work

1:02:59 > 1:02:59Work

1:02:59 > 1:03:06THEY CHANT "Kiss". There you go. We absolutely loved that dance, and

1:03:06 > 1:03:10what I adore is you said this is the best week you have had. This is my

1:03:10 > 1:03:15favourite week, doing a bid of Fred and Ginger with Kevin, a bit of

1:03:15 > 1:03:25romance, it was a delight.The scores are in.

1:03:25 > 1:03:35The judges have their scores.

1:03:37 > 1:03:51That is all right. We are going to win the paso doble-athon. Well done.

1:03:54 > 1:03:57If you think Susan and Kevin deserve a place in next week's quarterfinal,

1:03:57 > 1:03:59then please make sure they get your vote.

1:03:59 > 1:04:01All the details you need are on screen now and voting

1:04:01 > 1:04:02will open after the paso-dobla-thon.

1:04:02 > 1:04:04Right, off you go.

1:04:04 > 1:04:05You have about four minutes to get ready.

1:04:05 > 1:04:08While Susan and Kevin get changed, let's see how the leaderboard looks.

1:04:08 > 1:04:11But with a maximum of seven extra marks up for grabs tonight,

1:04:11 > 1:04:16all of that could change.

1:04:16 > 1:04:19Over the years we've had a waltzathon, a quickstep-athon,

1:04:19 > 1:04:22even a cha cha challenge but never a paso-dobla-thon.

1:04:22 > 1:04:25So what does it mean?

1:04:25 > 1:04:26How does it work?

1:04:26 > 1:04:28And here's the big one, should chorizo ever be

1:04:28 > 1:04:29allowed in a paella?

1:04:29 > 1:04:36To answer at least two of those questions, here's Shirley.

1:04:39 > 1:04:44This is the paso doble-athon. The chance to see all seven couples

1:04:44 > 1:04:50dancing at the same time on the Strictly dance floor. So how will it

1:04:50 > 1:04:54work? The couples will draw their starting positions on the floor out

1:04:54 > 1:05:00of a hat. So everything is fair and square. Rule one. All couples must

1:05:00 > 1:05:04remain on the floor and dance for the entire duration of the song.

1:05:04 > 1:05:12Rule two. Lifts are not allowed. Any couple seen to be doing a lift will

1:05:12 > 1:05:19be automatically disqualified. You have been warned. Rule three. It is

1:05:19 > 1:05:22really important that couples respect the direction of the dance.

1:05:22 > 1:05:27That means travelling in an anticlockwise direction, and they

1:05:27 > 1:05:31should also by a wear of the other couples' positions. No bumping into

1:05:31 > 1:05:40each other. And finally. Capes are optional. So

1:05:40 > 1:05:44what will we be looking for? As judges we want to see proper paso

1:05:44 > 1:05:49doble technique. This means strong leg and foot action. Strong

1:05:49 > 1:05:53charactererisation of the dance. Beautiful floor craft and don't

1:05:53 > 1:05:59forget to shape your body. So how will the couples be scored?

1:05:59 > 1:06:05The first placed couple will receive a score of seven. Amazing. The

1:06:05 > 1:06:11seventh placed couple will receive a score of one. Oh dear. The paso

1:06:11 > 1:06:15doble-athon scores will be combined with the scores from the couple's

1:06:15 > 1:06:20individual dances, to create a new total score, which could truly

1:06:20 > 1:06:28change the look on the leaderboard. Let's do this. Ole.

1:06:28 > 1:06:32Thank you very much Shirley. So, to recap whoever comes first in the

1:06:32 > 1:06:36paso doble-athon will get an extra seven marks, whoever comes second

1:06:36 > 1:06:39will get six and so on and the bottom couple will receive the one

1:06:39 > 1:06:45extra mark.

1:06:45 > 1:06:47Shirley, with so many people on the floor,

1:06:47 > 1:06:50what can they do to stand out?

1:06:50 > 1:06:54Well each couple to stand out, they have to listen to the music and they

1:06:54 > 1:07:00will dance to an epic piece of music, today, it has many different

1:07:00 > 1:07:04rhythm, and also some really crash highlights, so when you hear that

1:07:04 > 1:07:07bang you should see everybody stop, twice there is a first highlight and

1:07:07 > 1:07:12a second one. So they have to really get in tune and they have to avoid

1:07:12 > 1:07:17each other. Put your elbows out, whatever you do don't stop because

1:07:17 > 1:07:25the music is phrased so good luck to all of them. Quite difficult.

1:07:25 > 1:07:26Hello!

1:07:26 > 1:07:27Hello!

1:07:27 > 1:07:28Thank you, judges.

1:07:28 > 1:07:31That noise means the wait is finally over and it's time

1:07:31 > 1:07:32for the paso-dobla-thon to commence.

1:07:32 > 1:07:34Please welcome all the couples to the

1:07:34 > 1:07:38floor for the paso-dobla-thon!

1:07:38 > 1:07:48APPLAUSE

1:07:51 > 1:07:52APPLAUSE

1:07:52 > 1:08:02MUSIC: "Espana Cano".

1:10:00 > 1:10:08CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Brilliant.

1:10:08 > 1:10:19Drama on the dance floor. Oh well done. So well done to all

1:10:19 > 1:10:20our couples.

1:10:20 > 1:10:24So well done to all our couples.

1:10:24 > 1:10:27What a sight to behold!

1:10:27 > 1:10:29Let's see what the judges thought.

1:10:29 > 1:10:30Bruno, our first ever paso-dobla-thon.

1:10:30 > 1:10:40What did you make of it?

1:10:40 > 1:10:45Oh, a stampeding power, more than the bull run. It has much flavour of

1:10:45 > 1:10:51Spain as the most delicious paellla. At times there was a bit of a jam

1:10:51 > 1:10:56here and there but I think considering you have nerve done this

1:10:56 > 1:11:00before, managing the floor, not having any accidents, you did all a

1:11:00 > 1:11:04great job.Well done. APPLAUSE

1:11:04 > 1:11:06I think he liked it.

1:11:06 > 1:11:07APPLAUSE I think he liked it.

1:11:07 > 1:11:13So, there is an extra seven marks up for grabs for the winning couple.

1:11:13 > 1:11:15This could turn the leader board on its head.

1:11:15 > 1:11:18Shirley, starting with seventh place, please reveal the results

1:11:18 > 1:11:18of the paso-dobla-thon.

1:11:18 > 1:11:22That the most exciting thing I have seen, it was amazing.

1:11:22 > 1:11:31And difficult. You were good but we have come to the following decision.

1:11:31 > 1:11:43So into seventh place... Susan and Kevin.

1:11:43 > 1:11:53APPLAUSE Into sixth place... Mollie and AJ

1:11:53 > 1:12:01APPLAUSE Into fifth place... Gemma and Aljaz.

1:12:01 > 1:12:11APPLAUSE Into fourth place... Davood and

1:12:11 > 1:12:18Nadiya.Nadiya. APPLAUSE

1:12:18 > 1:12:22Into third place... Debbie and Giovanni.

1:12:22 > 1:12:28APPLAUSE Well done.

1:12:28 > 1:12:36Into second place... Joe and Katya. APPLAUSE

1:12:36 > 1:12:39Into first place Alexandra and Gorka.

1:12:39 > 1:12:48CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Thank you. So much. So Alexandra and

1:12:48 > 1:12:52Gorka came first in the paso doble-athon and have an extra seven

1:12:52 > 1:12:57mark, congratulations to you both. And commiserations to Susan and

1:12:57 > 1:13:00Kevin who finished last and receive just one extra mark, but they were

1:13:00 > 1:13:06excellent. They were. Take a look at how that has affected the

1:13:06 > 1:13:14leaderboard. It is Joe and Katya with 44 at the

1:13:14 > 1:13:20top. At the bottom are Susan and Kevin with a score of 22.

1:13:20 > 1:13:23At the bottom are Susan and Kevin with a score of 22.
