:00:14. > :00:18.Hello. Welcome to It Takes Two. It's Monday, what a weekend of

:00:18. > :00:24.dance it was! Of course, it means we have to say goodbye and every

:00:24. > :00:31.time we say goodbye, I cry a little. Nicky and Karen are here.

:00:31. > :00:41.Oh, no! And yum, yum pig's bum - I say so - head hundred cho Len

:00:41. > :00:42.

:00:42. > :00:52.Goodman is here tonight. What a -- huncho, Len Goodman, is here

:00:52. > :01:22.

:01:22. > :01:32.Live, from Television Centre - this is Strictly - It Takes Two. Please

:01:32. > :01:36.welcome your host, Zeo Ball. -- Zoe Ball. Welcome, there was an

:01:36. > :01:44.explosion of chicksteps and tum bas at the weekend, as our couples

:01:44. > :01:53.tackled fusion week. Here are the Strictly headlines.

:01:53. > :01:58.Good evening. Here is the news. It was raining tens. Kimberley and

:01:58. > :02:06.Pasha's cha-cha-cha fusion blew the judges away to receive a perfect

:02:06. > :02:16.score of 40. Nice work! The dance of the season so far for

:02:16. > :02:20.

:02:20. > :02:30.me! I'm going to join the audience. I cried! Don't tell anyone! It was

:02:30. > :02:34.

:02:34. > :02:43.a case of Strictly does Bucks Fizz. The dance really took off when your

:02:43. > :02:48.clothes came off! You were like a glitterball under a search-light!

:02:48. > :02:54.Go on - it wasn't quite Denise's week.

:02:54. > :03:04.She put her foot in it - her skirt, that is - she was in the bottom two

:03:04. > :03:08.

:03:08. > :03:13.I got my heel caught in this! couple in the bottom two tonight

:03:13. > :03:22.is... Denise and James. It happens to the best of them.

:03:22. > :03:25.Finally, it with us a case of double trouble backstage as Louis's

:03:25. > :03:32.doppelganger left Flavia slightly confused. I have seen something who

:03:32. > :03:37.looks like Lewis, just hovering. I have done a double-take. There is

:03:37. > :03:42.someone who looks like me. I will believe it when I see it! And a

:03:42. > :03:46.very special thank you to Liam - the dishy stage-hand there. Those

:03:46. > :03:50.were the Strictly headlines. I thank you!

:03:50. > :03:55.You know you are getting on when you describe a young man as being

:03:55. > :04:04.dishy, don't you? More backstage gossip. All the action from behind

:04:04. > :04:10.the scenes. Denise asked me to bring her make-

:04:10. > :04:15.up bag for her. Today is quarter- finals I is nerve-racking. There

:04:15. > :04:19.are only six. Fusion - the first time it has ever been done here in

:04:19. > :04:29.the UK. It could go horribly wrong. What is everybody going on about?

:04:29. > :04:37.

:04:38. > :04:43.Brendan! These knee pads don't work! Why didn't you put them on

:04:43. > :04:53.properly? What's wrong you? Look at all these mirror-balls. I

:04:53. > :05:26.

:05:26. > :05:31.It's the fastest dance in history. She hates this.

:05:31. > :05:39.Semi-finals next week. Everybody wants to be there. There's a lot of

:05:39. > :05:44.pressure and nerves and definitely - it's in the air. This is my very

:05:44. > :05:48.special sparkly shirt for this week. Now, look at all the sparkles on

:05:48. > :05:54.there. And what you will see is this goes around our waist and we

:05:54. > :06:01.poke this down the back of oh our trousers and that is our -- back of

:06:01. > :06:07.our trousers and that is our mic- pack. They can hear everything we

:06:07. > :06:14.say! You have to be careful what you say. I have to quickly go and

:06:14. > :06:20.get changed. I'm not in the show. Sorry! I forgot!

:06:20. > :06:25.That's how you have your lipstick done!

:06:25. > :06:31.Right now, it's crazy. Everybody's just really excited and just all

:06:31. > :06:36.over the place. Nobody's standing still. Covering my bruises. I've

:06:36. > :06:46.been pacing up and down. I am literally walking up and down,

:06:46. > :06:57.

:06:57. > :07:04.I hate this bit so much. Sweaty palms!

:07:04. > :07:09.I think you can see the panic in these faces and myself too!

:07:09. > :07:19.Have a good one, everybody. Have a good one!

:07:19. > :07:25.

:07:25. > :07:31.To see Nicky go was really hard. He sells it. He knows how to perform.

:07:31. > :07:37.It with was joy to watch him it was just his technique that let him

:07:37. > :07:43.down. Glitter-box at the ready. Sadly, it was third time unlucky as

:07:43. > :07:48.they were unable to withstand another dance-off. Please welcome

:07:48. > :07:53.Nicky and Karen. You two - we didn't want to see you on the sofa.

:07:54. > :07:59.Commiserations for last night. Our production team are inconsolable.

:07:59. > :08:04.They are weeping back there. They gave me a bottle of wine.

:08:04. > :08:08.Thank you. How are you feeling the day after? I am OK today. I was

:08:08. > :08:13.gutted, to be honest with youfplt I really wanted to go as far as --

:08:13. > :08:19.with you. I really wanted to go as far as I could. On Sunday, I felt

:08:19. > :08:23.devastated. It is a fantastic competition. I didn't want to leave

:08:23. > :08:28.the show - haven't embarrassed myself or anything like that.

:08:28. > :08:32.did not embarrass yourself! Len did say on Saturday night the American

:08:32. > :08:36.smooth and samba was the greatest challenge trying to put those two

:08:36. > :08:42.together. Did you feel a disadvantage when you were given

:08:42. > :08:46.those two? Actually I didn't. I feel Nicky handled both dances

:08:46. > :08:51.fantastically. Everybody is afraid of the samba and afraid how tough

:08:51. > :08:56.it. We went out there and we just had fun. I think he did brilliant.

:08:56. > :09:01.I am extremely proud of you! Nicky, was it tough for you to take

:09:01. > :09:05.on two new dances? Others had dances they had done before?

:09:05. > :09:10.suppose it was a disadvantage not having done either of those before.

:09:10. > :09:15.I just approached it like, as any other dance, as if it was the same

:09:15. > :09:19.one. Obviously there was a difference of speed. It is a banana

:09:19. > :09:25.skin for everybody. I actually thought, you know, we got it to a

:09:25. > :09:30.level where we recorded it in training, we kind of felt it was

:09:30. > :09:36.good. It was harder than the week before when we did the Argentine

:09:36. > :09:39.tang go. I felt that was a -- tango. I felt that was a fantastic dance.

:09:39. > :09:43.I thought it was strong enough to get us through. It shows the

:09:43. > :09:48.standard of dancing. Darcey was particularly impressed at how well

:09:48. > :09:53.you sold the dance. You were pleased it went well on the night?

:09:53. > :09:58.It went fantastic. It is a great one to go out on. You didn't shame

:09:58. > :10:04.the family! Craig was particularly harsh.... Who? You never have to

:10:04. > :10:09.see his face again. It was not the first time. Your fans and everyone

:10:09. > :10:17.on Twitter was going mental about it. Can you explain his five to

:10:17. > :10:22.Len's eight? I just need to say that Craig needs a hug. Or a slap!

:10:22. > :10:32.Let's not dwell on the negative. I think we should celebrate. There's

:10:32. > :10:42.a lot of good bits. Here we go. Right Nicky, your up town girl will

:10:42. > :10:43.

:10:43. > :10:53.be... Karen Hauer. She had no idea who Westlife are. Show me that

:10:53. > :10:53.

:10:53. > :10:57.third one... The what? He picks up movement really quick.

:10:57. > :11:02.There are certain rules in Strictly Come Dancing. You broke one of them.

:11:02. > :11:09.That, my darling, is a lift. lift probably was not the best idea

:11:09. > :11:17.in the world. Are we doing a lift? No lift! It's not coming easy, is

:11:18. > :11:24.There was confidence. There was attitude - which was great. Sadly,

:11:24. > :11:31.for me, there was not enough cha- cha. Going out for me, it's not an

:11:31. > :11:38.option. Quick, quick, slow. You stepped into it too quick.

:11:38. > :11:44.Will this get us extra points? week there was no life. This week

:11:44. > :11:48.it is full of life. You are starting to win me over. This week,

:11:48. > :11:58.the tango. Slow... Nicky is more driven this week. It is what we

:11:58. > :11:58.

:11:58. > :12:04.need. Yes, the whacky professor has found

:12:04. > :12:09.his secret formula. We really want to show the judges he is improving.

:12:09. > :12:17.Where is your posture. Do not pick up your feet. I swear, I will glue

:12:17. > :12:25.your feet to the floor! I believed every moment of the performance.

:12:25. > :12:35.I've got to come out fighting. We are too close to that bottom two.

:12:35. > :12:39.

:12:39. > :12:45.That was your best dance for me, so It was wonderful - rock'n'roll.

:12:45. > :12:50.danced as best I could. I find myself in the bottom two. I will

:12:50. > :12:56.say Nicky and Karen. I was that close to going home. I was like, "I

:12:56. > :13:04.need to nail it this week." I have never met someone with so much

:13:04. > :13:09.fight in them! It was magic. I loved it. Magic!

:13:09. > :13:13.Imaginative, fresh, brilliant! I couldn't imagine being partner

:13:13. > :13:20.with anyone else. I am extremely proud.

:13:20. > :13:30.He works really hard. It was just too aggressive and

:13:30. > :13:40.stompy. The couple in the bottom tonight is... Nicky and Karen.

:13:40. > :13:44.

:13:44. > :13:54.The last few months have been I tell you, you give all of it 110%.

:13:54. > :14:01.

:14:01. > :14:06.I command you for it. Judges, it is I I believe I've made a friend for

:14:06. > :14:11.life. Thank you. Thank you for making my first year on Strictly

:14:11. > :14:15.Come Dancing so special. I've had been amazing time with you. Thank

:14:15. > :14:24.you for sharing that with me. They've all gone in the studio.

:14:24. > :14:31.Everyone is crying. Looking back there as well, you

:14:31. > :14:36.have waterery eyes. The charleston, so many awesome dances. Which was

:14:36. > :14:46.your favourite? I loved the charleston. It was a high score -

:14:46. > :14:47.

:14:47. > :14:51.four nines. Didn't quite make the tens. The sky fall, -- Skyfall -

:14:51. > :14:56.the James Bond theme, that was great. Your first year on Strictly

:14:56. > :15:02.Come Dancing. How has it been for you? Will you come back? I hope so.

:15:02. > :15:10.This is the best job a dancer could dream of. Will you keep dancing?

:15:10. > :15:15.made a statement today on Twitter that I was hanging up my heels and

:15:16. > :15:22.retiring from Latin and ballroom with mediate even. Maybe at a

:15:22. > :15:28.wedding - I may get up and do a tango. Who do you want to win? It's

:15:28. > :15:30.the important.... Not Craig! You're not going to see him in

:15:30. > :15:36.panto then, I don't imagine! thank you!

:15:36. > :15:40.Do you know, it's so hard, I love everybody left. I don't want

:15:40. > :15:46.anybody left not to think I am mentioning them. I think Denise is

:15:46. > :15:53.the best dancer by one million miles. If I have to pick one I will

:15:53. > :15:57.say Kimberley. Nicky. You have been an absolute gentlemen. Give it up

:15:57. > :16:03.for Nicky and Karen. CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:16:03. > :16:13.Love him! Soon, Len joins us for the first time this series -

:16:13. > :16:40.

:16:40. > :16:49.exciting. A chance to work out MUSIC: BLUE SUEDE SHOES.

:16:49. > :16:59.WHO IS THAT. NOW A VERY SPECIAL GUEST, PICKLE MY WALNUTS It's only

:16:59. > :16:59.

:16:59. > :17:04.the top cat - Len Goodman. Come in. Come in!

:17:04. > :17:09.What a series it's been, Len. Listen, we say it every year.

:17:09. > :17:13.Sometimes we say it for just saying it - this is the best one. It is

:17:13. > :17:19.the first time I knew everyone who was on it. That is a good start.

:17:19. > :17:25.Have they lived up to expectation? 100%. The mix of characters we've

:17:25. > :17:31.had - we've had funny ones, good ones, not so good. It was a great

:17:31. > :17:37.mix. I enjoyed doing it. It is not over yet. Come on! Two weeks to go.

:17:37. > :17:42.Let's talk about the weekend - you are no stranger to dance fusion.

:17:42. > :17:50.What did you make of the talent this weekend? It was terrific. It

:17:50. > :17:55.is a challenge. It's not just a challenge for our celebrities - but

:17:55. > :17:59.also from the pros. They have to be inventive. They have to think, how

:17:59. > :18:03.can we get into this one and go back to that one? I think they did

:18:03. > :18:10.a great job, but I think the celebrities were brilliant. I was

:18:10. > :18:15.not sure at first. Then I thought, this is really good. What makes for

:18:15. > :18:22.a good fusion My favourite type - I like a proper fusion, when you get

:18:22. > :18:27.a bit of this, into a bit of that and a little touch of the other.

:18:27. > :18:33.Cheeky monkey! There was a couple of them - Lisa is one and Lewis,

:18:33. > :18:38.which was half and half. It worked, but I prefer the ones which are a

:18:38. > :18:41.mix-up. It is how they can do that and the

:18:41. > :18:46.seamless way. They go from one to the other and then back in.

:18:46. > :18:50.It keeps you watching, as a judge or as a viewer, it is interesting

:18:50. > :18:57.to see, especially for people like me. I think how will they get from

:18:57. > :19:01.a cha-cha-cha, into a tango, back into a... It was marvellous. I

:19:01. > :19:05.loved the blend. Some are hard to marry together. Are there any you

:19:05. > :19:10.didn't think quite worked together? I think they all pulled it off. One

:19:10. > :19:19.of the hardest, and I said it on Strictly, was Nicky.

:19:19. > :19:23.The samba is tough. He's got a foxtrot and a samba. To mix them in

:19:23. > :19:27.is harder than a quickstep and a charleston or a quickstep and a

:19:27. > :19:31.jive, which are both upbeat. I thought they all did a brilliant

:19:31. > :19:38.job. I was impressed. I got emotional watching the show. I have

:19:38. > :19:44.fallen in love with them all. You said in the results show, you too

:19:44. > :19:51.would have voted to save Denise and James. She is so good. Why does she

:19:51. > :19:57.deserve to stay? I love this little bit, the pendulum. This is where -

:19:57. > :20:06.that was the incident when she caught her heel in her Nickers or

:20:06. > :20:10.whatever - but her work ethic. I look at the results... She's

:20:10. > :20:15.worked... Russell's pole. She's worked the hardest. She's put in

:20:15. > :20:24.the most hours and I think she's a terrific dancer. I know there are

:20:24. > :20:30.people who say it is unfair and all this. It's not unfair.

:20:30. > :20:36.Tom Chambers. Jill Halfpenny. Is it more an advantage than being

:20:36. > :20:40.say a sportsman, who has the work ethic and the will to win and the

:20:40. > :20:46.coaching? You can make a case that they've all got an advantage if you

:20:46. > :20:51.want. I think she's a fantastic dancer. Lisa and Robin did a tango

:20:51. > :20:56.and a cha-cha-cha. You did say there was an incident. What went

:20:56. > :21:00.wrong? I don't know if you are show it. This was great, the Cuban going

:21:00. > :21:05.on there. Somewhere here there was an incident. It's coming up now.

:21:05. > :21:12.She went a bit, then she started stomping about. Then she goes into

:21:12. > :21:19.a New York, which is a bit off time. She, for me, is my biggest problem.

:21:19. > :21:24.I tell you why. Yes? My brain looks at her dancing and thinks her

:21:24. > :21:30.posture's not that good. It is a little bit cumbersome in places,

:21:30. > :21:34.but my heart is saying she's so much fun, there's so much feeling

:21:34. > :21:38.going on and it's a challenge between my brain and my heart. My

:21:38. > :21:42.heart wants her to go through and my brain is thinking, well the

:21:42. > :21:46.technique's not that good. Then I think, well, as a judge, my job is

:21:46. > :21:52.to judge it with my brain. It's for the viewers to judge with their

:21:52. > :22:02.hearts. If they say, oh, we love her, she's bubbly and great, oh,

:22:02. > :22:03.

:22:03. > :22:08.well, good luck to her! Louis and Flavia did this. The way they did

:22:08. > :22:13.it was not that hard. He has massive hands. You know what they

:22:13. > :22:22.say? I don't want to know! hands, big gloves!

:22:22. > :22:27.Up to here it is a rumba. It wasn't a sort of true fusion of one and

:22:27. > :22:32.another. There was a lot of rumba and not much tango. I understand

:22:32. > :22:42.from the music and when you choreograph, you do that by the

:22:42. > :22:47.music. It was all quiet and rumbay. Then it goes into that strong end,

:22:47. > :22:51.which really feels like a tango. I did understand musically it was the

:22:51. > :22:58.right way to go. If it had been more of a balance of the two dances,

:22:58. > :23:03.it could have been a ten even. vein vent and their quickstep and

:23:03. > :23:06.charleston. Yum, yum, pig's bum you said. What did you enjoy? I enjoyed

:23:06. > :23:11.the quickstep more than the charleston bit. I think the

:23:11. > :23:17.charleston was a little confined. It was not full of razzmatazz. The

:23:18. > :23:22.mix was very good. I thought Vincent, last week, with hisvy

:23:22. > :23:28.enneez waltz, that was clever. Last Saturday, I thought that was clever.

:23:28. > :23:32.It is a little easier. Both dances are from the 20s. You see

:23:32. > :23:38.charleston in the normal quickstep any way. It was a little easier to

:23:38. > :23:44.fuse. Kimberley, Pasha and their tango and cha-cha tkha. Shut up!

:23:44. > :23:49.This, I tell you what - I loved... Look at how she went from cha-cha,

:23:49. > :23:56.even her expression told you what dance she was doing. It was so well

:23:56. > :24:05.done. Absolutely seamless from one to the other! The cha-cha was cipls

:24:05. > :24:12.and clean. -- crisp and clean. Awesome. It made me cry. Thank you

:24:12. > :24:16.for visiting us. Len Goodman, I salute you. Next week, Bruno for

:24:16. > :24:26.your pleasure. What was our Elivs Presley? Time to reveal who is in

:24:26. > :24:30.

:24:30. > :24:35.It was of course Anton - the king. Did you guess that? I never guessed

:24:35. > :24:45.it. Last week, we kicked off our pro challenge. Len said he would

:24:45. > :24:53.

:24:53. > :24:58.like a go at this. The Guinness To do as many kick ball changes as

:24:58. > :25:07.pick as possible. A quick from the other leg and a back replace. Which

:25:07. > :25:13.of our pros are up to the challenge? It's time to welcome our

:25:13. > :25:18.next contender. Come on down... Karen Hauer.

:25:18. > :25:25.Come on. I love that move. I love your dress

:25:25. > :25:30.as well. OK, Karen, it's your first time at the It Takes Two pro

:25:30. > :25:36.challenge. Were you nervous? Yes. How many kick ball changes have you

:25:36. > :25:41.done in a row before this challenge?Vy No idea. You have

:25:41. > :25:47.never stood there intentionally and done it Probably four. It is time

:25:47. > :25:54.to see how you did. Come on. Here we go!

:25:54. > :26:00.This is really exciting, especially since I am new. I am really looking

:26:00. > :26:06.forward to it. I am feeling excited, but a bit nervous. Hello. Welcome

:26:06. > :26:16.to your very first pro challenge. How do you think you'll fare?

:26:16. > :26:45.

:26:45. > :26:52.I hope. Good luck, my darling. Off Five, four, three, two, one, stop!

:26:52. > :26:57.How did it feel? For a second, I totally forgot what I was doing. I

:26:57. > :27:03.felt like I was doing like this. felt you could have gone faster and

:27:03. > :27:07.harder. You took your time. It is a world record attempt. Why rush!
