:00:00. > :00:09.Welcome to It Takes Two. It is Hallowe'en. It is Thursday. We have
:00:10. > :00:15.all the training updates for you. Plus, I will hear all about Susanna
:00:16. > :00:21.and Kevin's upcoming charleston. I will find out who rumba tricks we
:00:22. > :00:29.will be treated to on Saturday. Our lovely Darcy Bussell is here.
:00:30. > :00:35.She will talk blood-curdling comments and Christopher Gill will
:00:36. > :00:40.give us a pre-- and Vicky Gill will give us a preview of what will be
:00:41. > :01:07.worn on Saturday night. This is Strictly - It Takes Two.
:01:08. > :01:22.Live, from London, this is Strictly It Takes Two.
:01:23. > :01:35.Please welcome your host, Zoe Ball. Happy Hallowe'en! Hello! Welcome to
:01:36. > :01:40.It Takes Two. Exciting - the witching hour is almost upon us as
:01:41. > :01:44.our celebrities prepare themselves for Saturday. In a moment I will
:01:45. > :01:48.talk to Susanna and Kevin. Before that, let's look at how our
:01:49. > :01:50.celebrities are getting on in training. Be afraid... Be very
:01:51. > :02:02.afraid! We're dancing the charleston. Knees
:02:03. > :02:07.up! Quite fast. There's lots of
:02:08. > :02:14.footwork. She has a lovely technique. The heel swivels are
:02:15. > :02:20.superb. It is telling a story through mime and personality.
:02:21. > :02:26.I'm really loving the dance. The charleston is such fun. It is really
:02:27. > :02:32.kind of cute. It has a lot of personality. And then one, two...
:02:33. > :02:36.Wrong-foot! Sorry! My problem is performing in front of an audience.
:02:37. > :02:41.I can do the dance perfectly if nobody is watching, which defeats
:02:42. > :02:45.the object of the exercise if you are on Strictly Come Dancing. This
:02:46. > :02:50.week I am dancing a tango sismt a passionate dance. It is very strong.
:02:51. > :02:54.The acting and performance side should be good, so long as I get my
:02:55. > :02:57.posture right. You have to learn to turn without doing this. You have to
:02:58. > :03:04.work on the posture to make sure that all the way through Ashley's
:03:05. > :03:10.got a lovely posture. Give me a nice frame. Look at your arms! My biggest
:03:11. > :03:17.concern with the dances seems to be my arms and head. Trying to get my
:03:18. > :03:23.steps... But yes. Don't care, give me the frame. Has to be leading the
:03:24. > :03:29.lady around the floor. That is what I need Ashley to do. We have got to
:03:30. > :03:34.the dance that I so hoped I would be able to do on Strictly - the
:03:35. > :03:40.charleston. It is always such an amazing dance to watch. It is a very
:03:41. > :03:44.fun and cheeky and playful dance. We will be doing some lifts in this
:03:45. > :03:50.charleston. Of course Darcy says just trust in your man. I think she
:03:51. > :03:56.does trust me! She says she trusts me! I am going to make sure she
:03:57. > :04:00.struss me! Clearly what I have to do is change the look on my face. It
:04:01. > :04:05.can be a show-stopper, but there is a lot that can go wrong. I am
:04:06. > :04:07.excited about the charleston, but I am also a little scared of it. It is
:04:08. > :04:17.Susanna and Kevin. Happy Hallowe'en to the two of you.
:04:18. > :04:23.I didn't want to make a fuss. I didn't want to go too over-the-top.
:04:24. > :04:27.It is like sitting with an x-ray. You can see my heart! Your American
:04:28. > :04:34.smooth was amazing last week. Back up into the 30s, in the leaderboard.
:04:35. > :04:39.Did it feel like a goody when you first rehearsed it? Did it feel good
:04:40. > :04:44.on the first three days of rehearsal? Not at all - not for the
:04:45. > :04:50.first three or four days of rehearsal. Right down to the wire.
:04:51. > :04:54.That is why I call her the magician. She pulls it out on a Saturday
:04:55. > :05:00.night! How fearful are you at times that it may not come out of the bag?
:05:01. > :05:04.Constantly fearful. Hallowe'en is 24/7 for me!
:05:05. > :05:08.You should see the look on his face when I forget the steps and it is
:05:09. > :05:13.late on in rehearsal and he gets this look of... You are going to get
:05:14. > :05:20.it right on Saturday, aren't you? Caig kept it -- Craig kept it short
:05:21. > :05:26.and sweet - gorgeous. Did that make you feel googy inside? It could have
:05:27. > :05:39.been the medication. We'll take it! I couldn't believe my ears. Hearing
:05:40. > :05:44.Craig say, "Gorgeous" Only Abbey and Natalie are ahead of you. That must
:05:45. > :05:49.be reassuring to be up there in the heady heights? Abbey and Natalie,
:05:50. > :05:55.beautiful dancers. It is a real privilege. So nice to watch, isn't
:05:56. > :05:58.it? I really enjoyed it. After a great performance on Saturday night,
:05:59. > :06:03.when you go into the training room on a Monday morning, are you still
:06:04. > :06:11.in high spirits, still on a high or do you go, oh, here we go again?
:06:12. > :06:15.Monday is awful. Actually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and a bit of
:06:16. > :06:19.Thursday is really stressful. I mean, we have, don't get me wrong, a
:06:20. > :06:23.lot of fun, but the dance doesn't take shape until sort of Thursday
:06:24. > :06:26.afternoon. Monday we literally have 45 minutes. So Kevin comes in.
:06:27. > :06:31.Sometimes it has to be said, not in the best of moods!
:06:32. > :06:36.It sounds like Hallowe'en did come early to your training room. There
:06:37. > :06:43.seems to be another reason why though. It is the scare of doom and
:06:44. > :06:50.it goes like. -- stair of doom and it goes like.
:06:51. > :06:59.Beware of the stare! Is it unnevering the way I stare --
:07:00. > :07:02.unnerving the way I stare at you. It gets everywhere. Watch out, it's
:07:03. > :07:16.coming for you! Staring, literally staring at you!
:07:17. > :07:22.No-one is safe, because it 's contagious.
:07:23. > :07:30.Isn't that brilliant? In fact, don't look at me - I am looking away. This
:07:31. > :07:35.week it is the charleston. Susanna Reid, are you loving it? I am loving
:07:36. > :07:40.it. It has fantastic spirit, personality and character and it is
:07:41. > :07:45.just terrific. Things can go terribly wrong. There is something
:07:46. > :07:49.frightening about it as well. Don't talk about it. Did you ever think
:07:50. > :07:56.you might be dancing to Creedance Clearwater Revival on the telly?
:07:57. > :08:01.Does this make your palms sweat a little bit? No. I love it. How will
:08:02. > :08:07.you bring a terrifying element into a charleston? It is an upbeat dance.
:08:08. > :08:15.I will dress up as something scary. I have been growing my facial hair
:08:16. > :08:20.in preparation. Is it Teen Wolf? Feel how thick and hairy it is! You
:08:21. > :08:26.might need a little help on Saturday with it. Good luck to both of you.
:08:27. > :08:31.Susanna and Kevin. APPLAUSE
:08:32. > :08:37.Back to the training rooms now to see some more ghostly goings on.
:08:38. > :08:46.This week Patrick and I were dancing quickstep.
:08:47. > :08:53.Quickstep has lots of quick Steps. There are lots of feet going back,
:08:54. > :09:01.right, forwards. If you don't get the sequence right you need shin
:09:02. > :09:08.pads. He's struggling to pick up the pace. I am shattered. This is the
:09:09. > :09:12.first time that an ya has said it is quick.
:09:13. > :09:16.To be honest with you, it is quite full. I want us back on the top of
:09:17. > :09:28.the leaderboard. I am really excited this week. I am
:09:29. > :09:35.doing a jive. This dance routine will be strenuous. There's no two
:09:36. > :09:39.ways around it. To make it look good you are working everything all the
:09:40. > :09:44.time. It is high-energy. There's no respite. There are lots of steps in
:09:45. > :09:51.a jive. It is fast. There's not much time to think.
:09:52. > :09:55.The fact we're doing it in Hallowe'en week can put your own
:09:56. > :09:58.spin on it. It is not your standard pump jive. We can be different. We
:09:59. > :10:11.can bring our characters out. We're dancing the paso doble. The
:10:12. > :10:17.paso doble - the mat dor - the bullfight. It is the cape. It takes
:10:18. > :10:24.me a bit of getting used to. There'll be drama, lots of stamping
:10:25. > :10:30.feet and drama. We need to make sure he does some acting on the floor.
:10:31. > :10:38.It's more of a like - and that will be my biggest challenge. Every dance
:10:39. > :10:44.is a massive challenge to me. Spot me. Five, six, seven, eight. We put
:10:45. > :10:48.the time in during rehearsals and do it with conviction. Hopefully that
:10:49. > :10:54.will be OK! There we are. That looks good. My
:10:55. > :10:59.next guest brings elegance, beauty and grace to the judging panel. A
:11:00. > :11:03.round of applause, it's Darcy Bussell.
:11:04. > :11:12.Hey foxy lady. And she's made an effort for Hallowe'en. A lovely
:11:13. > :11:16.mask. There you are! Welcome back to It Takes Two. Lovely to be here.
:11:17. > :11:21.Your second year on the judging panel. You have settled in now. Do
:11:22. > :11:25.you feel confident? I am really enjoying it. The nerves are always
:11:26. > :11:30.there with me. I like a bit of nerves actually because it keeps me
:11:31. > :11:34.on my toes. The boys are gorgeous to me. You look like you are having a
:11:35. > :11:38.laugh up there as well. That is important to me. I have to have a
:11:39. > :11:42.laugh. I don't want to make it too seriously. Last week a bit of a
:11:43. > :11:46.dance-off shocker. Deborah and Patrick, obviously in the bottom
:11:47. > :11:50.two. Did they deserve to be in the bottom two? Were you shocked like
:11:51. > :11:53.everybody else? It is horrible. It is always difficult when they are in
:11:54. > :11:57.the middle. Their scoring was getting better. They were getting
:11:58. > :12:02.better. People forget to vote for them, they are like, they are doing
:12:03. > :12:07.fine. And then they were in the danceoff. I wish we had Deborah. I
:12:08. > :12:12.loved her. She was everything that the show was about. She loved every
:12:13. > :12:17.moment of it and enjoyed learning the craft. I love her husband has
:12:18. > :12:25.been secretly learning to dance as well. That is so cute. Does the
:12:26. > :12:28.dance-off make a difference? It is about the dance-off and how they
:12:29. > :12:33.actually pull it off at that moment because if they do make a mistake
:12:34. > :12:38.you cannot hold them, can't keep them. I do fall in love with people
:12:39. > :12:42.and you know how much work they put into it, but it comes down to that
:12:43. > :12:49.last dance. They were on equal par as well. So quick quickly sometimes.
:12:50. > :12:54.Natalie and Artem, they have been given nine for the last few weeks.
:12:55. > :13:00.What do they need to do to get the elusive ten? She's stunning and has
:13:01. > :13:03.so much. Her concentration, she's trying to perfect the technique to
:13:04. > :13:07.such a technique I have not seen her let go and actually fall in love
:13:08. > :13:11.with a dance yet, which is interesting. I think she wants to
:13:12. > :13:15.get it all right for Artem. It is like he has a little voice on her
:13:16. > :13:19.shoulder going, get this right. You can see her ticking. Her
:13:20. > :13:25.concentration. I want her to be free. Let go. Just be a little wild,
:13:26. > :13:29.maybe. Take some risks. You may regret saying that. I love how you
:13:30. > :13:33.give constructive criticism. It is really good for the dancers. Who is
:13:34. > :13:39.really -- who has really listened to you? A lot have taken on so much. I
:13:40. > :13:43.am always actually surprised. I think Ashley has taken on so much
:13:44. > :13:47.because he has, there was a lot of little, kind of little habits he
:13:48. > :13:53.had. You know, you can see the next week he's gone oh, my neck. I've got
:13:54. > :13:59.a neck and I've got shoulders. I need to lift my eye Level Up. So
:14:00. > :14:06.many have taken in so much. They have so much to think about and just
:14:07. > :14:10.remembering the steps that your little corrections. They listen to
:14:11. > :14:13.them. Have you got a funniest performance so far in this series,
:14:14. > :14:22.one that has made you laugh with joy? Well, I coo Ied with joy over
:14:23. > :14:26.-- well I cried with joy over Dave's first cha-cha-cha. It was a classic.
:14:27. > :14:30.It was like he was held in the studio for too long and he was let
:14:31. > :14:35.out like an animal. He was dying to get on the dance floor and show his
:14:36. > :14:37.moves, which were a bit scary. Is it fair he's still in the competition?
:14:38. > :16:45.I think everybody there is there We are going to be dancing the jive.
:16:46. > :16:50.The jive is one of those dances I have been dreading. There is a lot
:16:51. > :16:55.of knee, isn't there? I have spent 35 years crouched over a motorcycle
:16:56. > :16:59.in the rain. Dave is actually doing OK in the
:17:00. > :17:05.jive. He 's got the routine. Excellent! He's got a little bit of
:17:06. > :17:08.a bounce. He cannot point his feet just yet. It is just from here!
:17:09. > :17:15.That's it! I do the best with the balls of my
:17:16. > :17:23.feet I is funny. It is lively. It is an aerobics lesson. It will be bril!
:17:24. > :17:32.The Vienneses waltz is coming a along well. Back to dizziness on
:17:33. > :17:37.some of the steps. There are details like arms and some stuff with the
:17:38. > :17:40.shirt happening. It is another thing to think about. Obviously moving
:17:41. > :17:47.your arm through a count, you have to grab it and still make your arm
:17:48. > :17:52.look pretty. It is very accented in a Viennese waltz. I need to make
:17:53. > :17:58.more light and shade of the song. That's it! Yes! It is challenging to
:17:59. > :18:03.get all of the details right. We still have a few days to rehearse.
:18:04. > :18:12.She has been busy making Saturday's outfits. She's taken time out to see
:18:13. > :18:21.us to give us some secrets, welcome back costume designer Vicky Gill.
:18:22. > :18:24.You got some proper whaos in the house tonight. Can it be hell? It
:18:25. > :18:32.can be hell. At the end of it, when we get to the end of the show, we
:18:33. > :18:37.go, it wasn't so bad, was it? Was it any more busy than other weeks?
:18:38. > :18:43.People go to town on Hallowe'en? It is bigger. It is co-lab rayive from
:18:44. > :18:47.Lisa with the hair. It is everybody pulling together. Because the look
:18:48. > :18:55.goes all the way up. Lisa is head of make-up and she is amazing. Walk
:18:56. > :19:06.with me this way. I made a squeak. It was my shoe, not anything else!
:19:07. > :19:09.This is Ola's tango dress. There is a petrified forest theme or
:19:10. > :19:14.something like that. How did it influence her dress? Traditionally
:19:15. > :19:18.it is red. This week, being Hallowe'en, we have a lot of that
:19:19. > :19:22.going on. I choose another strong colour, being sapphire blue, so we
:19:23. > :19:28.have some strength through the tango. A blue and green combination.
:19:29. > :19:39.Blue and green should never be seen. They are often super stishous. Look
:19:40. > :19:45.at the length! Brilliant. When she spins around it
:19:46. > :19:50.does all this stuff. Similar to Abbey's in terms of volume. This is
:19:51. > :19:55.a similar sort of shape. We will walk this week. Let's walk this
:19:56. > :20:02.week, like this! Susanna is doing a charleston. Kevin
:20:03. > :20:08.gave away there may be a werewolf thing. Susanna gets to wear this. .
:20:09. > :20:14.She has to make sure she creates the werewolf - Lisa. He's doing his
:20:15. > :20:20.best, isn't he! A classic charleston dress, what would that be? For this,
:20:21. > :20:25.for Strictly, in Strictly world. Often the routines are a mix of
:20:26. > :20:30.choreography. We have to deal with lots of movements, whether they are
:20:31. > :20:35.over shoulders, round and about. They do go all over the place. We
:20:36. > :20:39.have a fitted body under, so that we keep everything where it should be.
:20:40. > :20:43.And then the fringe detail gives that charleston vibe and movement.
:20:44. > :20:48.When she moves we get all this crystal detail. Back to the ironing
:20:49. > :20:53.board we go. Let's talk about Iveta. Here and Mark are doing a paso
:20:54. > :20:57.doble. She is dressed as an alien, of course!
:20:58. > :21:01.She has a cat suit, hasn't she? I don't know what it is, if I am
:21:02. > :21:07.honest. We had to create an alien. You don't know what it is. What is
:21:08. > :21:10.an alien - none of us have ever seen them!
:21:11. > :21:15.A beautiful one, that is for sure. Blues and greens again. It is over a
:21:16. > :21:19.nude base, so a lot of crystals. The interesting thing for this one is
:21:20. > :21:24.she's doing paso doble. We have inserted a wing into her right arm.
:21:25. > :21:29.That is her cape, I guess. We have another drape on her bum if she
:21:30. > :21:37.needs more capage. How does Mark fit into the alien scenario? He is the
:21:38. > :21:41.star ship trooper. He is a spaceman. Ground control to major wrong - I
:21:42. > :21:51.love it! Tell me your thinking behind this
:21:52. > :21:56.one. They are Mr And Mr Scarecrow. Of course! We have taken a standard
:21:57. > :22:03.Strictly dress and tried to dumben it down a bit. We cannot do that for
:22:04. > :22:10.Fiona, because she is super glam. And it is Strictly. On Saturday
:22:11. > :22:16.night it will be sparkling. And some frayed edges. How about Anton? Very
:22:17. > :22:21.daper, but frayed at the edges. Like a lot of us - around the edges!
:22:22. > :22:26.Can't wait until Saturday. I think it possibly will be your best work.
:22:27. > :22:31.Vicky Gill, everybody! That is what they will wear. How
:22:32. > :22:34.will they dance? Back to the training room to see the last of our
:22:35. > :22:45.devilish dances. We are doing the paso doble and I am
:22:46. > :22:49.very good at it. It is about attitude, stamping your feet and
:22:50. > :22:55.being this macho stan yard. I am really good at the start of the
:22:56. > :22:58.dance. I am pretty good at the end. A bit between - not so good at the
:22:59. > :23:04.moment. Sorry! But you know, we'll get there. Now
:23:05. > :23:09.you go side ways. The timing and steps, the speed of it, it's a
:23:10. > :23:14.challenge. That is ridiculously fast! I think at the moment probably
:23:15. > :23:19.everything needs work. I just hope people and judges will love it.
:23:20. > :23:24.This week we are dancing a rumba. I am loving the rumba.
:23:25. > :23:30.I thought you were going to drop me then! It is the fast ones that freak
:23:31. > :23:35.me out. You need to make sure that every single step, it is done to its
:23:36. > :23:39.full potential. It is a tricky dance. There are lots of moves in
:23:40. > :23:45.it. I am trying to get the basics in. Hopefully it will evolve.
:23:46. > :23:51.Sorry! I think the biggest obstacle for us is her long legs and arms.
:23:52. > :23:55.Because it is so slow, I think it is easier to pick up on mistakes
:23:56. > :24:00.because it takes longer to do each step, so you have to make sure you
:24:01. > :24:09.do it right. They were the dear darlings of the
:24:10. > :24:12.night on Saturday - a spine-tingling fot trot.
:24:13. > :24:19.-- foxtrot. You clever things. How did you feel
:24:20. > :24:27.before the dance Before you went out to do it? As usual, absolutely
:24:28. > :24:35.terrified, quaking. Aljaz trying to calm me down. What do you do - do
:24:36. > :24:42.you do, do breathing. He does a of weird ear thing. Does it work? No.
:24:43. > :24:48.At least he tries! Someone said you had a bad dress run. Can that affect
:24:49. > :24:54.your performance? It definitely does. Because the dress-run was not
:24:55. > :25:00.as good, she puts more effort in during the life show.
:25:01. > :25:08.I got a fright. You caused a bit of aive between Craig and Len. Craig
:25:09. > :25:11.said about your line and your foot - was he right? Did you know what he
:25:12. > :25:16.was talking about? I don't know about the foot thing he was talking
:25:17. > :25:22.about. I agree about my head. It should have been more out. I like to
:25:23. > :25:26.hear Craig's criticism because it gives me something to work on in the
:25:27. > :25:30.training room on Monday. He is pleased with you. He is like, yes,
:25:31. > :25:34.she's taken it on board. The judges were impressed with your ability to
