:04:02. > :04:10.You have been eliminated. Yes, I also come up to Blackpool. Did you

:04:11. > :04:14.come alone? No, with Al-Yash. Who else? Susannah, Brendan. Loads of us

:04:15. > :04:18.were on the train. We had a great time. Pretty much all the friends?

:04:19. > :04:22.Yes, everybody in the competition? Yes, a lot of people still in the

:04:23. > :04:27.competition. We don't let people who aren't in the competition sit with

:04:28. > :04:31.us. We are definite definitely, we had a good time. Thank you. See you

:04:32. > :04:36.later. Poor James. We'll see James later

:04:37. > :04:45.on. Time for the first part of the Friday panel. Please welcome Jodie

:04:46. > :04:56.Prenger, Jason Donovan and Ana Matronic. Give us a shimmy. Welcome,

:04:57. > :05:03.you beautiful threesome. Jase, welcome back, we have missed

:05:04. > :05:06.you in the glitter dome, former Strictly finalist. You have been to

:05:07. > :05:10.Blackpool. How will the dancers be feeling right now? It's quite the

:05:11. > :05:14.intimidating. We were at a different stage in the competition because it

:05:15. > :05:18.was part of the final, but I think everyone is getting to know their

:05:19. > :05:28.partners. I think there is a lot of tension. I think the stakes are

:05:29. > :05:39.getting hotter and higher. It's a big stage. Ten times the other

:05:40. > :05:45.studio. You know all about the importance of chemistry. Which

:05:46. > :05:51.couple has the most of it? All the cupels have it. -- couples have it.

:05:52. > :05:55.There is no way you can spend all the time together and no have a

:05:56. > :05:59.rapport. I'm impressed with Abbey and Al-Yash. Abbey looks like a

:06:00. > :06:06.proper professional dancer. It's exciting. Yes. Jodie, who have been

:06:07. > :06:11.your favourites so far? Abbey's kind of grown every single week and she's

:06:12. > :06:17.beautiful. Al-Yash! I always get his name wrong, but he's brilliant. I've

:06:18. > :06:21.really enjoyed him. Very handsome as well. Sophie and Brendan are going

:06:22. > :06:26.to do a quickstep in Blackpool. A lot of floor to cover. Jason, do you

:06:27. > :06:32.think Sophie can impress with this? You know what is what. How did she

:06:33. > :06:38.look? I was disappointed with her last weekend. The Argentine tango?

:06:39. > :06:44.Yes, she hits and misses sometimes and I think it's got a lot to do

:06:45. > :06:48.with her size. I also think Brendan is quite forward with his leading

:06:49. > :06:55.that you tend to focus on him a little bit and sometimes not her. He

:06:56. > :07:01.needs to stand back? Yes, he needs to let her shine a bit because he's

:07:02. > :07:05.so busy with his stuff and he's like, yeah, come on. Do you know

:07:06. > :07:14.what I mean, the like he needs to chill out. Dancing to the Lady Is A

:07:15. > :07:19.Tramp. Classy. So good. Tradition. I like it. Susannah and Kevin are

:07:20. > :07:24.doing the Paso Doble. It's all about fire and passion. Do you think that

:07:25. > :07:29.she can put in a convincing performance from what you have seen

:07:30. > :07:34.so far? She seems overwhelmed in a great way because this is something

:07:35. > :07:42.so sqlout side her comfort zone and she's really competent at this

:07:43. > :07:47.competition. -- so outside her comfort zone. I think she'll do

:07:48. > :07:50.well. The beautiful waltz and beautiful dress last week were

:07:51. > :07:54.great. What about that couple? Do you think they'll impress? They are

:07:55. > :07:59.sufficient lovely people. I'm finding it hard seeing that passion

:08:00. > :08:04.between them. I don't know actually. I'm hoping they will do well, but I

:08:05. > :08:09.don't know. This will be the music, surely it

:08:10. > :08:15.will help. Do you remember your paso? I do. And I forgot it just as

:08:16. > :08:18.quickly, actually. It wasn't my greatest moment. I think she's got

:08:19. > :08:22.to concentrate on the character because she comes across as herself

:08:23. > :08:27.all the time, which is happy, Smiley and this is a very different

:08:28. > :08:39.experience. A strong strong dance. Yes. Mark and itch Iveta, how are

:08:40. > :08:45.they going to do this week? Mark is going to take the judges' comments

:08:46. > :08:49.to heart. He's got a fantastic partner. They have a great rapport

:08:50. > :08:55.and that comes through in the dancing. If he can pull it off with

:08:56. > :09:00.two bad knees, he could do well. He's got really bad knees. He's done

:09:01. > :09:05.amazing. They have this tune from Hairspray.

:09:06. > :09:11.# You can't stop the beat... # It's amazing. Is this going to help

:09:12. > :09:16.him, Jodie, because he's been in Hairspray? It's a phenomenal song.

:09:17. > :09:19.He's my guilty pleasure, I love watching his face and everything so

:09:20. > :09:23.I think he'll do really well in Blackpool. Come on, Mark! Natalie

:09:24. > :09:26.and Artem missed last week but they are back this week with the

:09:27. > :09:31.charleston. Here they are in training. Jason, this dance is just

:09:32. > :09:38.as much about expression Aztec knee? It's so hard to fault her. I try

:09:39. > :09:44.hard, but you know, she works so well with Artem and he's such a

:09:45. > :09:48.strong dancer himself. It's hard to see them not being top of the

:09:49. > :09:53.leaderboard. I also think what happened to her last week will help

:09:54. > :10:00.the situation as well. She's going to come back in. She's dancing to

:10:01. > :10:06.Will I A from the Great Gatsby. Great choice. Yes and a little bit

:10:07. > :10:12.of thinking outside the box for the charleston. You say associationiate

:10:13. > :10:16.it with the '20s. How can she concentrate with a scarf on her

:10:17. > :10:21.head? ! A lot of acting in the charleston. Is that going to help

:10:22. > :10:25.her? I'm sure she's danced many a time in the Rovers to that. She's

:10:26. > :10:29.brilliant. Very, very strong. I hope not being their last week is not

:10:30. > :10:33.going to stop the voters voting for her. That's the one thing I'm

:10:34. > :10:37.worried about. We'll see. For now, Fiona and Anton are doing an

:10:38. > :10:45.American smooth. How do you think they are looking? Jason, you know

:10:46. > :10:50.Anton very well. How is he doing? I think she looks great in hold. She's

:10:51. > :10:58.going to do well this week I think. Her arms and the length, the

:10:59. > :11:05.stretches, you know, the lines, I've lost the terminology! It's in there

:11:06. > :11:18.somewhere. Dancing to Frank Sinatra. Surely it's a win-win situation.

:11:19. > :11:22.Many in the ballroom in Blackpool! He performed there once, Frank

:11:23. > :11:26.Sinatra. All the greats have performed there. We'll get the

:11:27. > :11:31.trolley out and brink a drink and talk to the panel again later. Ana,

:11:32. > :11:37.Jason and Jodie. Frank Sinatra in Blackpool, really? ! James Jr. Sudan

:11:38. > :11:41.is back to see what -- James Jordan is back to show us what mischief he

:11:42. > :11:46.created in the tower. This next person I'm going to speak

:11:47. > :11:59.to I haven't seen nearly enough of in the past few weeks and it's

:12:00. > :12:05.breaking my heart. It's Ashley and Ola! We are in Blackpool, the Mecca

:12:06. > :12:10.of dance. How does it feel? It's amazing.

:12:11. > :12:16.Salute incredible. I saw the ballroom, walked in there and was

:12:17. > :12:20.like wow -- salute incredible -- absolutely incredible. We haven't

:12:21. > :12:24.danced in it yet so it's going to be incredible. Have you spaced it out

:12:25. > :12:29.correctly do you think or are you waiting to see when you go there?

:12:30. > :12:34.I'm going to pray we'll be OK. I leave that in your capable hands.

:12:35. > :12:39.You are dancing the paso doble. How has it been going? Good. Monday

:12:40. > :12:47.Tuesday I was worried because I don't think Ashley's dance was there

:12:48. > :12:52.yet. Wednesday Thursday he turned it around and I was very pleased. When

:12:53. > :12:56.I started this week, I thought after doing a few dances I knew the moves

:12:57. > :13:02.and the posture got it right. Then I started and it was a new Langs wadge

:13:03. > :13:07.completely and I didn't have a clue. It really scared me, to be fair. The

:13:08. > :13:14.Paso Doble is different to all the other Latin dances. Posture and

:13:15. > :13:19.everything. It's aggressive and Ola said to me last week, Ashley's such

:13:20. > :13:23.a nice guy, I think he's going to struggle with the position do

:13:24. > :13:29.believe lay. Do you think -- paso doble. Do you think being an actor

:13:30. > :13:36.can help you? He smile all the time. She's like "be serious! " And I am

:13:37. > :13:40.like "I am! " But in the night I get in character. I enjoy that about

:13:41. > :13:43.this dance. It's so strong and passionate. I can't do that a lot of

:13:44. > :13:54.the time, only when I really have to. Does he look masculine? Yes. I

:13:55. > :14:00.heard you have got a cowboy theme to this? Yes. It's a cowboy theme in a

:14:01. > :14:07.saloon. I don't want to say too much about it. It's going to be a big

:14:08. > :14:11.surprise but Ashley is a bad cowboy. Last week, you danced the quickstep.

:14:12. > :14:15.You got 35 points from the judges, your highest so far. Do you think

:14:16. > :14:20.you can top that? I don't know. I hope we can top

:14:21. > :14:26.that. We are going to do everything possible to top it. I'm really

:14:27. > :14:30.worried that I might go backwards now, that's the thing with getting a

:14:31. > :14:35.high score. We got 31 three weeks in a row, then 33, 35, so it makes

:14:36. > :14:41.sense really to get maybe 37 this yike? Maybe, yes. 37. That would be

:14:42. > :14:46.good. If you can bank 37 now, bank it, that's what I say. I want to go

:14:47. > :14:51.up! 36 will do. When you are involved in the show, I understand

:14:52. > :14:54.each week you want to improve, but that's not necessarily always shown

:14:55. > :14:58.by the scores because you might not suit that dance as much as you

:14:59. > :15:03.suited the quick step. I haven't seen it yet, I'm excited to see your

:15:04. > :15:07.dance. I'm excited for you to see it. I wish you all the best. How

:15:08. > :15:11.mentally are you going to prepare for tomorrow night now? I think we

:15:12. > :15:17.are prepared mentally. We are ready to go. Yes, we can do it!

:15:18. > :15:23.We can do it! We are mentally prepared, yes! Good luck. I can't

:15:24. > :15:30.call you Quasimodo any more because you have fixed fixedture posture.

:15:31. > :15:35.I'll think of a new name for you. Good luck -- you have fixed your

:15:36. > :15:41.posture. Get a room, Jordan. He's a bit good!

:15:42. > :15:44.I might take the week off next week. James managed to check in with ah

:15:45. > :15:51.tome see how his neck was holding up.

:15:52. > :15:58.Artem, we are in Blackpool, the Tower Ballroom. You made it, I

:15:59. > :16:03.didn't. How is your neck? It's OK. OK or is it... ? No, it's OK, but

:16:04. > :16:09.apparently I'm the curse of Blackpool. Every time I dance in

:16:10. > :16:16.Blackpool my neck is injured. Let me do the test. Stay there. Artem. It's

:16:17. > :16:22.still not great though is it? Let's be honest? ! You're dancing a

:16:23. > :16:26.charleston? Yes. Which is pretty full on. Actually it's the first

:16:27. > :16:33.time the charleston ever been done in Blackpool. Really? Yes. That's

:16:34. > :16:39.quite amazing isn't it? Yes. You are going to be in the Strictly history

:16:40. > :16:44.booked? Dwre, pretty much. I think I was the first person to dance the

:16:45. > :16:48.charleston? Wembley. Just saying! I got three 10s and one 9, no

:16:49. > :16:52.pressure. Anyway, moving on, it's not about me, it's about you. I'm

:16:53. > :16:57.slightly concerned that when you dance the charleston, you are going

:16:58. > :17:01.to be like this, "it's fine, it's fine", then if anything has to move

:17:02. > :17:07.to the side, are we going to be turning like this? Can you just do

:17:08. > :17:15.that for me and delay the head? Yes. Go on then. Hold on, which way do I

:17:16. > :17:19.go - this way. Amazing! Listen, I hope you get a speedy recovery by

:17:20. > :17:25.tomorrow because we need you on top form. Good luck. Thank you.

:17:26. > :17:32.Thank you. It will be OK. He's Russian, he's tough!

:17:33. > :17:38.Thanks,shippy Jimmy. Vicky Gill and her team have understandably gone

:17:39. > :17:41.into overdrive. All right, Jase? Thanks. She couldn't be with us in

:17:42. > :17:47.the studio, but luckily, James was able to catch up with her earlier on

:17:48. > :17:51.in Blackpool. Put another shrimp on the barbie.

:17:52. > :17:57.Promise you won't tell anyone if I try it on? Somebody will find out if

:17:58. > :18:03.you try it on. Oh, hi, Zoe, I'm here with my most favourite person in the

:18:04. > :18:06.world, Vicky Gill. What have you made for me this week? That is the

:18:07. > :18:10.most important question? Nothing, you are out. Go on. You are not in

:18:11. > :18:15.any more. OK. Have you got anything nice to show me because it's

:18:16. > :18:20.Blackpool week? Yes, but not yours. Whose is this one because I like

:18:21. > :18:25.that one? This is Anya's. They are doing a Samba, a Copacabana number

:18:26. > :18:30.so it's really show time, feathers, lots of gold. The skirt's not been

:18:31. > :18:32.trimmed because we haven't had anyone in forfeitings yet. It will

:18:33. > :18:38.be slightly different by tomorrow. Might be a bit shorter? Yes. Not a

:18:39. > :18:48.lot of it already. I know. I like the back. It's nice. Very

:18:49. > :18:53.Samba-like. Very nice. And this one? This one, for me, I don't know

:18:54. > :18:57.anything about dress-making, but I can see that every one of these has

:18:58. > :19:01.been sown on individually. They have. Who is the poor person that

:19:02. > :19:08.has to do that the? Not many personally. I help out when needed.

:19:09. > :19:13.A lovely man named Ash is the chief embellishment officer. He works very

:19:14. > :19:18.hardlet, they have been put on individually. The beads have been

:19:19. > :19:24.sown on the strips at the bottom, very time-consuming. So I can't even

:19:25. > :19:28.sew a button on. This is going to pop tomorrow night once we are in

:19:29. > :19:32.show time. This also caught my eye. If I was, for example, to be into

:19:33. > :19:39.dresses, this would make my eyes pop because it's blue. This is for one

:19:40. > :19:43.of the ballrooms? Yes, all pros and celebs have the same shape and

:19:44. > :19:49.silhouette. As you can see, if you look behind you... That's nice as

:19:50. > :19:53.well. Everybody is going to have a net sticky-out skirt. So pro-girls

:19:54. > :19:57.and celebrity girls wearing something similar to this? Yes.

:19:58. > :20:01.That's cool. That will be an exciting number because there are

:20:02. > :20:06.lots of things going on. Yes, there is. But not you. We have moved on

:20:07. > :20:10.from there! This week in particular being Blackpool, have you found it

:20:11. > :20:16.more stressful? Tiring, not necessarily more stressful.

:20:17. > :20:21.Stressed? Never. Only with you, of course. What is this? It's pick on

:20:22. > :20:26.James day! Out of all these, think very quickly, which is your

:20:27. > :20:30.favourite one? I think my favourite one is just because it's quite

:20:31. > :20:36.simple and I think that will be Sophie's. What dance is she doing?

:20:37. > :20:40.The quickstep. Brendan would be very happy with

:20:41. > :20:44.that. She's going to look gorgeous in that. I think so. Zoe, from us

:20:45. > :20:49.back to you! Bye!

:20:50. > :20:53.Love those two. Oi, say nothing. Last week, we sent Jeanette up north

:20:54. > :20:57.to find out what makes the Blackpool Tower so special. Really, I thought

:20:58. > :21:02.I paid my dues. I've come to the hottest seaside in

:21:03. > :21:09.the whole of the UK. It's just a little bit different from what I'm

:21:10. > :21:16.used to back home in Miami, but hey, this is Blackpool!

:21:17. > :21:20.This year for the sixth time, the dancers will be performing in one of

:21:21. > :21:24.the oldest, most historic ballrooms of all-time, the Tower Ballroom.

:21:25. > :21:33.This isn't just any ballroom. Oh, no, this has tonnes to talk about.

:21:34. > :21:42.The Tower Ballroom opened to the public in 1899 as a place for ladies

:21:43. > :21:47.and gents to socialise. This dance space would have been

:21:48. > :21:57.packed full of cupels waltzing and foxtrotting the night away --

:21:58. > :22:02.couples. Gentlemen could not dance without a lady and disorderly

:22:03. > :22:11.conduct meant immediate expulsion. Better not let James in. Over 30,000

:22:12. > :22:17.individual blocks of mahogany, oak and walnut would make up this

:22:18. > :22:22.incredible 120 foot dance floor. In 1959, the entire dance floor was

:22:23. > :22:27.destroyed in a fire and it took two years and ?500,000 to bring the

:22:28. > :22:31.damage back to its original state. We all love Strictly for its

:22:32. > :22:35.sparkle, but this place was dazzling its guests way before glitter was

:22:36. > :22:39.invented. These 14 beautiful chandeliers have over 80 bulbs each

:22:40. > :22:44.and once a year, they are lowered to the ground and the lights are

:22:45. > :22:52.inspected and cleaned by hand. Every inch of this ballroom is a

:22:53. > :22:57.work of art. There is even even an inscription by William Shakespeare

:22:58. > :22:59.meaning "let me speak and I'll tell you something interesting". I'm

:23:00. > :23:11.listening! With over 100 years of history, the

:23:12. > :23:16.Tower Ballroom still proves to be just as popular today as it was in

:23:17. > :23:20.1899. Every day, the ballroom opens its doors for a tea dance, whether

:23:21. > :23:23.it's a waltz or a cup of tea and a slice of cake, these people come and

:23:24. > :23:30.experience the charm of this fantastic dance space.

:23:31. > :23:34.Hi. Would you like to dance? Of course. Thank you.

:23:35. > :23:37.Blackpool is always a highlight in the Strictly calendar, so when you

:23:38. > :23:41.are sat at home on Saturday night, take a minute to appreciate the

:23:42. > :23:46.beauty of the Tower Ballroom and all of the history it holds. With 100

:23:47. > :23:55.years of ballroom under one roof, here is so many, many more. Keep

:23:56. > :24:02.dancing. Thank you Jeanette. My nan and

:24:03. > :24:08.grandad used to dance there, Jodie used to say. We are getting

:24:09. > :24:18.emotional. Let 's talk to our panel again, Ana Matronic, Jason Donovan

:24:19. > :24:24.sand Jodie Prenger. Let's talk about these two. Do you

:24:25. > :24:31.think he can snatch back the male crown? He's a good actor. He's so

:24:32. > :24:38.strong, his face is so serious. You like that? Who's the man. I think he

:24:39. > :24:42.can do well. One thing to remember with a paso doble, if you remember,

:24:43. > :24:47.Jason? Well, it wasn't my greatest moment, in fact it was my lowest

:24:48. > :24:53.score but there needs to be a lot of strength and you need to be very

:24:54. > :24:57.harp. -- sharp. He's overworked at the moment and Ola's probably put

:24:58. > :25:02.this dance at a poignant place to get it out of the way, you know. So

:25:03. > :25:04.he can move on? Yes. Dancing to Bon Jovi.

:25:05. > :25:10.# Shot through the heart # And you are to blame

:25:11. > :25:12.# You give love a bad name... # How do you think that will go down

:25:13. > :25:18.in Blackpool What will the crowd make of it there, Ana? Strictly Come

:25:19. > :25:22.Dancing is a little different than a Scissor Sisters crowd but you never

:25:23. > :25:28.know and it's sometimes the most unexpected choices can be the best

:25:29. > :25:31.because it just defies logic and really throws people through a loop

:25:32. > :25:37.so they really look at the dancing and how they interpret it. Fingers

:25:38. > :25:42.crossed. Ben and Kristina are doing an American smooth. Let us look

:25:43. > :25:47.back. Hey, Jason you got 37 for your American smooth with Kristina. It's

:25:48. > :25:53.all about the lifts. Can Ben lift her? He's progressed a lot and she's

:25:54. > :25:57.such a great choreographer. You know, I think this is going to be

:26:03. > :26:07.whole lifting. We'll see, you know. It's a tough one when you have

:26:08. > :26:11.someone like Patrick in the mould doing the Samba which we'll talk

:26:12. > :26:18.about. Yes. This is what they are dancing to. A bit of Alisha Keys.

:26:23. > :26:25.with you... # Craig said last week, because he's

:26:26. > :26:29.so built, he'll find it hard doing the elegant arms and stuff like

:27:54. > :27:57.I would like her to concentrate on the dancing sometimes than looking

:27:58. > :28:02.at the hair and all the other things that are going on. She's a little

:28:03. > :28:06.girl. I like that as well, it's part of her charm but it's about your

:28:07. > :28:11.personality as well. They are dancing to this.
