:00:07. > :00:08.On It Takes Two tonight, there's me, Caroline, with
:00:09. > :00:15.There's also me, Mark, and my amazing partner, Karen.
:00:16. > :00:18.Let's not forget me, Scott, with my lovely partner, Joanne from Grimsby.
:00:19. > :00:21.And finally there's me, The talented and dashing Ian Waite,
:00:22. > :01:29.Oh, are we on? Right, it's time for It Takes Two.
:01:30. > :01:31.Hello and welcome live to It Takes Two.
:01:32. > :01:35.Here are our Class of 2014, and our board has obviously been inspiring.
:01:36. > :01:40.Susan Drew and Jo from Truro College - hats off to you - look at this!
:01:41. > :01:53.Well, we've got another show full of Strictly exclusives to fulfill
:01:54. > :02:03.Kicking us off, they had the daunting task of opening Friday's
:02:04. > :02:22.It's TV presenter Caroline Flack and her partner, Pasha.
:02:23. > :02:33.CHEERING Come on! An entrance to Shaggy. Good
:02:34. > :02:38.to see you. Hi Caroline. Oh my Lord, you were so amazing on Saturday
:02:39. > :02:43.night, I spat my teeth through my teeth. Welcome to It Takes Two.
:02:44. > :02:48.After your dance the other night, Len said, always good to start a
:02:49. > :02:54.show with a bit of champagne. The one thing we do here on It Takes Two
:02:55. > :03:08.is listen to uncle Len. Can we have a round of applause for this. His
:03:09. > :03:15.own shorts! Let's sit back and enjoy your performance again. So good.
:03:16. > :03:19.Love you Weedo. A great debut. Your arms are so expressive. You can
:03:20. > :03:28.reach and pull and spin and you can drop. My kind of girl. You
:03:29. > :03:33.definitely are one natural performer and one natural dancer. I've got to
:03:34. > :03:40.be honest, some of your lines need finishing properly, but I thought
:03:41. > :03:55.you did a fantastic job. Sparkly, fizzy, sweet Caroline. That was
:03:56. > :04:00.terrific. 6, 7, 7, 7. And it's over! CHEERING
:04:01. > :04:06.A minor emergency. This isn't really champagne, it is apple juice and
:04:07. > :04:10.Caroline is allergic to apple juice. How petrified were you on Friday
:04:11. > :04:13.night? Just before the music started, the title music, we were
:04:14. > :04:19.standing behind the stage and everybody was queuing on the stairs,
:04:20. > :04:23.I couldn't get my words out. Pasha started doing the shimmy, so I
:04:24. > :04:27.started shimmying. It was quite nice. You were amazing on the floor.
:04:28. > :04:33.Being a presenter you are probably used to being in control, so was it
:04:34. > :04:38.strange to go out there and have to let go of all of that and just
:04:39. > :04:41.dance? Yes, usually my job is to get the best of somebody else and it is
:04:42. > :04:46.about the other person and suddenly... It was my job. To get
:04:47. > :04:52.the best out of me. But you did so brilliantly. The judges were talking
:04:53. > :04:57.about a lack of happen action. On the comments on Twitter people said,
:04:58. > :05:01.rubbish, you had amazing hip action. Pasha, can you demonstrate what the
:05:02. > :05:06.hip action is like in a cha-cha? Usually it is quite strong. You go
:05:07. > :05:10.from side to side. That's nice. They were looking for something like
:05:11. > :05:19.that, maybe something like that. That will do! Pasha, very good. Are
:05:20. > :05:25.you alright ladies? Were you at all worried that Caroline would be so
:05:26. > :05:29.nervous, she had a serious face and she needed a cheeky face for
:05:30. > :05:34.cha-cha. In rehearsals you can be perfect and you come out there... I
:05:35. > :05:39.think you managed it quite well. The audience made me smile. As soon as I
:05:40. > :05:44.got on the floor, weirdly I looked in one place and it was my twin
:05:45. > :05:49.sister. She sat there and looked at me and smiled and from that moment,
:05:50. > :05:55.I thought it was brilliant. That's a twin thing. Can't you contact each
:05:56. > :06:00.other for different counties and stuff like that. You need that every
:06:01. > :06:04.week. Bruno and Craig said they wanted more hip action, but the
:06:05. > :06:08.fringe on that dress was incredible. Were you really pleased with her
:06:09. > :06:12.performance? I was over the Moon with the performance. Like I said,
:06:13. > :06:17.you never know what's going to happen - it's live. She had never
:06:18. > :06:21.danced before in front of millions of people, so my biggest fear was,
:06:22. > :06:26.what if she freezes up and stay there is and does nothing? Nothing?
:06:27. > :06:29.Your girl didn't let you down. I loved a tweet from you, which I
:06:30. > :06:34.can't read out on television. Talking about your worries and
:06:35. > :06:39.concerns with the tango Oh yes. How is it going? It is so hard. I
:06:40. > :06:45.thought the cha-cha was hard but this makes the cha-cha feels like
:06:46. > :06:50.the Macarena. I'm quite bouncy in general as a person, always bouncing
:06:51. > :06:58.up and down, but the tango is like bang, bang, the whole time. I wish I
:06:59. > :07:01.could count how many times you said that... Good luck this weekend.
:07:02. > :07:09.Pasha and Caroline! It's time now to take
:07:10. > :07:12.a weekly sneaky peaky inside the rehearsal rooms of our Strictly
:07:13. > :07:30.stars as we welcome back Ian Waite CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Chee Yes, it's
:07:31. > :07:37.the most hotly anticipated return since Cats. Ian Waite is here! Hello
:07:38. > :07:41.baby. I've got a bit of a sweat on. Look, we've got new tricks. You look
:07:42. > :07:46.like Johnny from Dirty Dancing. I like that. Let's start with Frankie
:07:47. > :07:52.and Kevin. A winning waltz from them last week. This week they've got a
:07:53. > :07:57.Charleston. How is it looking? It looks really good. Last week was
:07:58. > :08:05.superb. We've got lots of typical Charleston steps, the crossover.
:08:06. > :08:10.There's lots of acting going on. I wanted to point out the feet and
:08:11. > :08:17.ankles. You know I like the girls to wear their shoes. It is my pet hate,
:08:18. > :08:21.if they don't wear their shoes, they can't get used to it. Frankie
:08:22. > :08:26.sometimes is weak in the ankles. She has to work on those. With the
:08:27. > :08:34.crossovers, she needs to swivel them and make them stronger. She's a
:08:35. > :08:39.brilliant dancer. Steve was commanding in his tango last week.
:08:40. > :08:45.Are we going to see his cheeky side in his cha-cha? I loved him last
:08:46. > :08:51.week. The cha-cha-cha is light and cheeky. He's a bit ploddy at the
:08:52. > :08:56.moment. I would like him to straighten his knees so he gets
:08:57. > :09:00.straight legs and stretches his arms out a bit more. Darcey mentioned
:09:01. > :09:07.that he sometimes looks like his arms are bent all the time. His guns
:09:08. > :09:15.are so huge. They are so big. A lot of love for our next couple, Scott
:09:16. > :09:20.and Joe an. -- Joanne. They are doing the tango this week. What I
:09:21. > :09:26.love about Scott is he gives it 100%. You could see that last week.
:09:27. > :09:32.Week. I do like his pout there. Check that face out. He's not
:09:33. > :09:39.letting it go. He is like Nemo or something. What I want to emphasise
:09:40. > :09:44.here, I want to go in with the legs. What he needs to do is get down in
:09:45. > :09:50.the knees, so that in tango you are always low. Sometimes he goes up a
:09:51. > :09:52.little bit and s get down in the knees, so that in tango you are
:09:53. > :09:55.always low. Sometimes he goes up a little bit and his legends are true
:09:56. > :10:03.-- his legs are too straight and he looks widen. He's here, you can tell
:10:04. > :10:08.him in person. I will. Trent Trent, some people reckon is your little
:10:09. > :10:13.brother. He looks like me. Maybe he is my long lost son. I'm old enough.
:10:14. > :10:18.They are doing the waltz. How are they looking? You can see Trent
:10:19. > :10:23.smiling his head off. He looks like the cat that's got the cream. She is
:10:24. > :10:28.fantastic. She's got great arms. She's going to be really good. What
:10:29. > :10:36.I do want her to do is I would like her to create a little bit... Hold
:10:37. > :10:47.on a second. The wand is back! I want her to create that vas section
:10:48. > :10:50.shape, and her head is going to ack! I want her to create that vas
:10:51. > :10:58.section shape, and her head is going to be the flower -- create that vase
:10:59. > :11:03.shape. From me it's an 8. Gregg and Aliona. He had a sticky start but
:11:04. > :11:10.this week he's doing a Charleston and he's very good at it, I hear.
:11:11. > :11:16.I'm pleasantly surprised. He is nowhere near as bad as we thought he
:11:17. > :11:20.would be. He's up on the balls of his feet, swivelling his feet,
:11:21. > :11:26.pointing his toes. And he's in time. I think he's doing a really good job
:11:27. > :11:33.here. It could be a shock to a lot of people. Sunetra and Brendan had
:11:34. > :11:38.ballroom last week. This week she is doing Latin. Is she a natural? Not
:11:39. > :11:44.yet. To be fair, this is their first day's training. She's got to start
:11:45. > :11:51.straightening those legs. We'll stop it here and I will highlight it.
:11:52. > :11:54.This area here, she's got turned-in feet. If you are stepping across
:11:55. > :12:04.into a checking action, turn your foot out. First day, so she is
:12:05. > :12:10.mapping it throug Caroline and Pasha, her tango there. She was
:12:11. > :12:18.flawless last week. How good is this tango? I nicknamed her Caroli Thwack
:12:19. > :12:23.because she was whacking that cha-cha-cha out. The tango is great
:12:24. > :12:28.for her. The only thing I would say is posture. She's in the wrong place
:12:29. > :12:34.there. If I can demonstrate with you. Feel free. I want her to point
:12:35. > :12:39.that foot, keep your knees bent and lift that hip up. That gets the girl
:12:40. > :12:45.over to that side, so I have a clear way. You can see over my shoulder. I
:12:46. > :12:49.see what you mean. So she isn't straight in front of him. Can I turn
:12:50. > :12:52.around again? Thanks Ian. You'll be back a little
:12:53. > :12:55.later on. Next up,
:12:56. > :12:57.the judges unanimously agreed his performance was "entertaining" on
:12:58. > :12:59.Friday - which is the main thing. It's our resident DJ, the brilliant
:13:00. > :13:33.Scott Mills and his partner, Joanne. Hiya. Welcome. How are you Clifton?
:13:34. > :13:39.I'm excited to see you here. I saw you here once when you were six and
:13:40. > :13:44.you came to visit Kevin and now you are all grown up. Let's remind
:13:45. > :13:48.ourselves of your cha-cha. It's the sort of dance that would be better
:13:49. > :13:53.on the radio I think. Your footwork was poor. Not a lot of hip action. A
:13:54. > :14:01.Zimmer frame, darling, has more movement than I saw there. The vibe
:14:02. > :14:05.was there. The robotic, the newer ot, I the euphoric... What I was
:14:06. > :14:15.really impressed with was you attacked it and you came out and
:14:16. > :14:21.sold it. 2, 4, 5, 5. I thought you were brilliant. I'm so pleased.
:14:22. > :14:25.CHEERING How relieved were you that it was
:14:26. > :14:29.done that first one? I know how nervous you were? Obviously the
:14:30. > :14:33.second show was on Saturday and I saw people like Mark going through
:14:34. > :14:38.it and I was like, I know exactly how you feel. On Saturday all I had
:14:39. > :14:42.to do was walk down some steps and laugh. It felt like I was on
:14:43. > :14:50.holiday. At least I got it over with on Friday. This Saturday you have to
:14:51. > :14:54.wait for 15 couples. Craig said, naughty Craig, a Zimmer frame had
:14:55. > :14:58.more movement. When you have worked really hard, does it hurt when you
:14:59. > :15:03.hear that? I was a bit upset but you can't let that affect you. Now the
:15:04. > :15:09.process is really rapid and you've got four days to learn something
:15:10. > :15:14.new. We've attacked it. New week, new dance. Hello Joanne from.
:15:15. > :15:18.Grimsby's other finest export. I'm so excited about you being on the
:15:19. > :15:24.show. You two really wanted to partner up didn't you? We really.
:15:25. > :15:31.Let 's get to know you a little bit better, Joanne. My name is Joanne
:15:32. > :15:37.Clifton and I'm the current world ballroom show dance shun and I'm
:15:38. > :15:42.Kevin's list sister. Dancing runs through my family. I've taught loads
:15:43. > :15:46.of beginners before and I always get the best out of them. A new
:15:47. > :15:56.professional won last year, so there's no reason why I can't do the
:15:57. > :15:59.same this year. She is like a proper champ. How has your experience been
:16:00. > :16:05.so far and how is your big Brother treating you? I've been loving it. I
:16:06. > :16:09.said to my mum being on Strictly with my family Kevin and Karen, I'm
:16:10. > :16:16.having the best time. And you have a new adopted brother. Yes, a Big
:16:17. > :16:21.Brother. What did you think of Scott's performance? That was the
:16:22. > :16:25.best he has done the cha-cha, he was either doing the steps right or with
:16:26. > :16:29.a face like that or doing it like that but doing the steps all wrong
:16:30. > :16:35.but he got it all right. Good for the first time. Not bad first time
:16:36. > :16:39.out. It's all about the journey. You will get better. You have a message
:16:40. > :16:43.from Robbie Williams. Has he seen the dance and giving you a critique?
:16:44. > :16:50.He's on tour in Australia which is why in the VT he did there is lots
:16:51. > :16:54.of shoes and clothes behind him because he's doing his swing tour in
:16:55. > :17:00.Perth. I know he would have seen this. Hi, Robbie, if you are
:17:01. > :17:04.watching. I know you have lots of fun in the training room because our
:17:05. > :17:05.spies have been watching you will stop in fact, so much fun it's
:17:06. > :17:13.ridiculous. LAUGHTER
:17:14. > :17:17.I'm having a lot of fun and Joanne is brilliant because we laugh all
:17:18. > :17:24.the time and we get on really well. LAUGHTER
:17:25. > :17:26.I'm finding it quite hard so sometimes the latter kind of breaks
:17:27. > :17:35.up the panic that I'm feeling. LAUGHTER
:17:36. > :17:41.U2 are so cute together. We have seen a little bit of your tango
:17:42. > :17:46.practice. You were saying keep down on your knees. That's a really good
:17:47. > :17:51.tip because the last thing Joe said to me was after practising today and
:17:52. > :17:57.now we need to do it lower. We are doing that all day tomorrow. Good
:17:58. > :18:02.luck tomorrow. Good luck this weekend. Scott and Joanne!
:18:03. > :18:09.APPLAUSE Now, over here, because it's time to
:18:10. > :18:15.get my wand out, I get a wand out, we don't call it a wand, we call it
:18:16. > :18:20.a giant crayon. Let's have a look at the next bunch and what they are
:18:21. > :18:26.doing this week. I loved Judy's waltz and I think she loved it more
:18:27. > :18:30.than anyone else. How is she taking to the cha-cha-cha? Like a duck to
:18:31. > :18:35.water? I wouldn't say like a duck to water, it's a challenge to her but
:18:36. > :18:40.Anton has been clever with the usage of props. She has a lovely towel
:18:41. > :18:45.that she will use as a prop. Are we using a towel on the show? Last week
:18:46. > :18:51.when watching the show my note about Judy was hands, hands, Hants. For
:18:52. > :18:56.me, look at her hand there, it looks like she's going to play tennis with
:18:57. > :19:00.it. -- hands. It looks like she was going to hit eight tennis ball with
:19:01. > :19:04.her arms splayed. You have to keep your palms down to the floor and
:19:05. > :19:10.back from down and that finger down like this. Nice hands. That's what
:19:11. > :19:15.you want. Onto our power couple, Simon and Kristina. They are doing a
:19:16. > :19:20.tango this week and I think it will be good. Stonking jive last week. I
:19:21. > :19:24.love that word. He's doing absolutely brilliantly and he's
:19:25. > :19:29.doing some lovely heel leads will stop the only thing I'd say about
:19:30. > :19:33.Simon, as he closes, did you see that? He went up, he stays down and
:19:34. > :19:39.then as he closes he goes up, bobbing up, so he wants to go slow,
:19:40. > :19:47.quick, stay, down. Have you got that, Scott? Stay down, Scott, at
:19:48. > :19:52.all times. Mark and Karen are doing and American smooth. Everybody loves
:19:53. > :19:55.the smooth dance and Mark is a bit of an Essex smoothie. He reminds me
:19:56. > :20:00.of Nick Berry, that little twinkle in his eyes. He's embraced this
:20:01. > :20:04.ballroom which is nice to see. I thought he was under marked last
:20:05. > :20:08.week, he was much better than the judges gave him. What I love about
:20:09. > :20:12.Mark is this face he has, he had the best face last week, the best
:20:13. > :20:15.smiles. Out of all of the boys he was smiling the most all the way
:20:16. > :20:23.through. He looked like he enjoyed it all the way through. Let's give
:20:24. > :20:32.him one of those. Alison and Ali Ash are doing a foxtrot. This hold
:20:33. > :20:37.looked promising. She is lovely, releasing her toes, she has
:20:38. > :20:41.obviously been working on her head because you can see she has her chin
:20:42. > :20:46.up in the air and shaping lovely. What I see here is as you can see
:20:47. > :20:50.there is lots of gaps going on. You could get a double-decker bus
:20:51. > :20:55.through there. Not good? She looks like she is in a different county to
:20:56. > :20:59.him. This is early days. It is early days and obviously she will work on
:21:00. > :21:07.that and once she has the steps. It is difficult to say. How did you not
:21:08. > :21:14.get that close to -- could you not get that close to Aljaz? What is he
:21:15. > :21:19.wearing here? It looks like he's about to swim the channel covered in
:21:20. > :21:24.goose fat. I really enjoyed his dance last week. There is loads of
:21:25. > :21:28.content in this. Obviously Natalie has been giving him lots of content.
:21:29. > :21:33.She could have easily not done that but she has done that, so good on
:21:34. > :21:40.her. What I'd like to do is highlight this. Look at you with
:21:41. > :21:43.your new tools. In the top half he is tending to hunch so he needs to
:21:44. > :21:49.get his shoulders back, open the chest and chin up. And then he will
:21:50. > :21:55.be all right. Then he will be a bargain. I don't know why! Look at
:21:56. > :21:58.you and your Flash tools. I hope he's wearing the gangster green
:21:59. > :22:04.beanie. Jennifer and Tristan are doing the waltz. How is Jennifer
:22:05. > :22:08.doing? On the first watch through I thought they were dancing the paso
:22:09. > :22:14.doble because it looks like they are doing the walks of a paso doble, but
:22:15. > :22:18.apparently it is a waltzed. So I don't know. This is their first
:22:19. > :22:24.stage. They are just walking through it. I would like to see lovely
:22:25. > :22:33.closes of the waltz, the characteristics of it so I'd love to
:22:34. > :22:40.see that. Thom and a better, lucky, always classy, she's incredible. All
:22:41. > :22:44.I can say is hot, hot, hot, awesome. He's already looking very
:22:45. > :22:48.loose and he's got the right character for it. But did you see
:22:49. > :22:52.that, he just missed it but he changes on the spins, he changes his
:22:53. > :22:56.hands which is difficult to do at this stage at this level. He starts
:22:57. > :23:02.with his right and then onto his left and then onto his right again
:23:03. > :23:11.which quite amazing. From the, I think this couple will get eight
:23:12. > :23:15.from Ian Waite. Jake and Jeanette, his tango was magnificent, his salsa
:23:16. > :23:20.is looking equally good. They are looking fantastic. There is lots of
:23:21. > :23:25.sharp, slick salsa moves. What I'd like them to do is have a little bit
:23:26. > :23:27.more rhythm in the body. Do you want to demonstrate that? I'm not sure if
:23:28. > :23:34.I can but what am I doing? to demonstrate that? I'm not sure if
:23:35. > :23:37.and back, one, two, three, one, two, three but I want your
:23:38. > :23:44.and back, one, two, three, one, two, smooth, smooth in the body. That's
:23:45. > :23:47.too sharp. You carry on behind me. Isn't he good. Ian Waite, I love
:23:48. > :23:48.that man. We all have to disagree -
:23:49. > :23:56.it looked all Wright to me. It's Essex boy Mark Wright
:23:57. > :24:24.and his partner Karen! I say! What an entrance! I like
:24:25. > :24:28.that. How are you doing? I'm doing all right and all the better for
:24:29. > :24:36.seeing the two of you. Lovely to see you hot lips. Shall we remind
:24:37. > :24:41.ourselves of your performance. I like what you've got. You have huts
:24:42. > :24:49.bar. I didn't think you were such a confident performer. It was stilted,
:24:50. > :24:54.your hands were flat. You have to calm down, keep on time and take out
:24:55. > :25:04.the Free Willy. You definitely have a future in this competition and
:25:05. > :25:12.will go far. Five. Seven. Six. Not bad. But it was tough. It is so
:25:13. > :25:15.tough. I really felt for you. Can I say we have taken a poll on the
:25:16. > :25:19.streets of London and everybody loved your Free Willy. It was
:25:20. > :25:24.amazing. We are hoping you perhaps have more tricks up your sleeve,
:25:25. > :25:30.Mark. I'm not a great dancer in the club, I'm quite shy, have been one
:25:31. > :25:37.step, to step and the Free Willy. I will go for something subtle. I know
:25:38. > :25:41.that you think he can do this and he can do that, but you were emotional
:25:42. > :25:46.after going up to talk to Claude after all of that waiting and you
:25:47. > :25:50.looked like you might have a little cry and probably needed a cuddle. Do
:25:51. > :25:54.you wear your heart on your sleeve? I do wear my heart on my sleeve
:25:55. > :25:58.because I found it tough. Like everyone else it's been a big
:25:59. > :26:01.challenge for me and before the nerves were so intense and I thought
:26:02. > :26:05.I wasn't going to get through it and as soon as I got through it they
:26:06. > :26:10.showed a little shot on the screen and I was like I did it and she was
:26:11. > :26:15.nervous for me as well and the so thing -- the whole thing was so
:26:16. > :26:19.intense but I didn't cry. You can cry on television as a man, people
:26:20. > :26:25.will love you more for it. The judges thought towards the end Mark
:26:26. > :26:29.got overexcited. How was it for you? He was freaked out before we walked
:26:30. > :26:33.out, which calmed me down but when I saw his face light up and he was
:26:34. > :26:39.just smiling and get going it got me going, and I thought I don't care if
:26:40. > :26:43.your timing is off I don't care! His little smile was making me blush and
:26:44. > :26:47.I loved it. I thought he did fantastic and I'm proud of him
:26:48. > :26:51.because this toy is working so hard. I'm really proud of that
:26:52. > :26:55.performance. I'm getting emotional now and it's only Wednesday. What
:26:56. > :27:04.did nanny Pat think? Did she make you a celebratory present? They are
:27:05. > :27:08.pinching themselves and I'm pinching myself, as long as I stay in the
:27:09. > :27:11.competition they are happy. What did your friends from Essex think about
:27:12. > :27:18.you dancing on the television in a vest? What you can imagine. They
:27:19. > :27:23.ripped me a little bit. Maybe more glitter on it and sequins. That's
:27:24. > :27:32.what happens and steadily and steadily you will be completely
:27:33. > :27:37.blinged. Do you think yourself as quite laid-back? I suppose so but
:27:38. > :27:41.when I come to this kind of dancing stuff and hear the music in front of
:27:42. > :27:46.an audience I got myself so excited. At first I thought I didn't want to
:27:47. > :27:51.do this but as soon as I heard the first clap I was like, yeah, you
:27:52. > :27:55.want some. We saw you getting frustrated in the training room. He
:27:56. > :28:01.gets cranky and start shouting and stomping around. There is so much to
:28:02. > :28:04.think about and my bum cheeks are so sore. I want to say it's really fun
:28:05. > :28:11.but at the moment it's not really fun. And I'm hurting everywhere
:28:12. > :28:19.already. Shut up! Nice and easy. It's not nice and easy! This is
:28:20. > :28:26.hard. I want to go home... APPLAUSE
:28:27. > :28:30.Amazing. I'm such a whinger. You are not a whinger at all. Tel is one
:28:31. > :28:36.thing about your American smooth. I have to relax and it has to be
:28:37. > :28:44.romantic and beautiful. Heal, toe, toe. I think you will stay in the
:28:45. > :28:50.competition a long time. Tomorrow we will have Gregg Wallace,
:28:51. > :28:59.muscle-bound wild man Steve Backshall,
:29:00. > :29:01.Mrs Brown's Boys's Jennifer Gibney and all
:29:02. > :29:07.MUSIC: One by Johnny Cash
