:00:00. > :00:15.Karen, when we said "rehearsal" we meant for tonight's show.
:00:16. > :01:17.From London, this is Strictly it takes to! Please welcome your host,
:01:18. > :01:20.Zoe Ball! APPLAUSE
:01:21. > :01:23.Tonight we are bringing you contenders and survivors.
:01:24. > :01:25.We've got some music exclusives on this weekend's dances
:01:26. > :01:28.and we take a peek at our professionals in group training.
:01:29. > :01:30.Plus, the mistress of the ballroom, Karen Hardy is back
:01:31. > :01:34.But first, their Charleston on Saturday night
:01:35. > :01:37.opened the show and set the bar so high, that bar was interstellar.
:01:38. > :02:09.APPLAUSE Unbelievable! I have to say you were
:02:10. > :02:13.total firecrackers. It was a wicked Charleston. An incredible comeback
:02:14. > :02:20.and a total moment in this series. Are you still on a high? Janette
:02:21. > :02:29.thought I got emotional backstage, it was swept. I was so overwhelmed,
:02:30. > :02:32.absolutely blown away! I just couldn't believe the way everyone
:02:33. > :02:41.was dancing and the atmosphere and the pace was incredible.
:02:42. > :02:48.You made it look effortless which is so hard to do with something as
:02:49. > :02:51.tricky as that dance. There was a lot of complicated synchronisation
:02:52. > :02:56.in that routine and he picked it up so well. I was so happy. My
:02:57. > :03:05.favourite bit was the mirror bit at the start. Didn't you love her hair
:03:06. > :03:13.like that. It was a need to's wig! This is the BBC, nothing gets
:03:14. > :03:25.wasted. -- ammeter's wig. It was neater than your normal hairstyle.
:03:26. > :03:30.38, your highest score. And the highest score of the series, ladies
:03:31. > :03:36.and gentlemen! I have to say, nothing else happens from now. I
:03:37. > :03:42.will cherish that moment forever. Of course I will try my best but that
:03:43. > :03:46.was the moment, for me. You will have that forever and I think it
:03:47. > :03:54.will go in the Strictly record books. Hopefully, in a big filing
:03:55. > :03:58.cabinet! Darcey did say that she could almost have mistaken Peter for
:03:59. > :04:04.a pro. That must have been music to your ears, Janette? Yes. Our goals
:04:05. > :04:08.as professionals is to get our celebrity partners as good as they
:04:09. > :04:11.can possibly be. When you hear a judge say something like that, that
:04:12. > :04:20.they are close to the level of a professional, I could not be prouder
:04:21. > :04:24.of any other compliment. It was amazing! You were in shock. And when
:04:25. > :04:29.Len stood up, wasn't it an incredible moment. The first ten and
:04:30. > :04:35.he stood up on his dodgy knee. How will you keep that level up, Peter?
:04:36. > :04:44.We not! But it was really great fun! You can't be like that. You can
:04:45. > :04:47.do it again. I'm just going to do my best. I think what I have learned
:04:48. > :04:52.from this is that things are achievable which you don't think
:04:53. > :05:06.they are. Once you start hovering and losing points, you have to think
:05:07. > :05:13.I accept that. I think it makes the whole adventure more exciting. To be
:05:14. > :05:18.at the top must fill you with such confidence? We have had some very
:05:19. > :05:23.hard dances back to back like the rumba and foxtrot, so it was good to
:05:24. > :05:28.do a routine which boosted your energy and woke you back up and made
:05:29. > :05:31.him gain his confidence again. It is scary. No matter who you are in the
:05:32. > :05:36.Scottish and, how much training you have had or have not had, going in
:05:37. > :05:40.front of that many people watching to be judged is very scary. When a
:05:41. > :05:46.number like this comes along, it fills your confidence and makes you
:05:47. > :05:48.feel good. It is the lift and drops and timing in the mirror. You could
:05:49. > :05:54.not even see each other. and timing in the mirror. You could
:05:55. > :06:00.genius. The only criticism came from Craig but it is a tiny one. He said
:06:01. > :06:02.perhaps he overbalanced a bit at the end. Let's see.
:06:03. > :06:18.perhaps he overbalanced a bit at the the lift at the end.
:06:19. > :06:25.I really thought the fireworks covered it! But you are not
:06:26. > :06:30.professional dancers. That is incredible. You take the criticism
:06:31. > :06:34.really well. I could see him laughing. It was so nice because
:06:35. > :06:39.Craig was the one that I felt I wanted to prove to him that I had it
:06:40. > :06:45.in me because he had mentioned before that you don't just want to
:06:46. > :06:52.be not showing what you have got. For once, I felt he could -- I could
:06:53. > :06:58.do it and he gave me and nine. I was over the moon. I could not stop
:06:59. > :07:02.grinning like a Cheshire cat. I have watched it again and again. You
:07:03. > :07:04.moved on to the beanies waltz. We loved the character you had for the
:07:05. > :07:14.Charleston. What kind of loved the character you had for the
:07:15. > :07:27.beanies waltz? Someone from Vienna. -- Viennese waltz. I am allowed to
:07:28. > :07:32.smile. This routine we were saying in rehearsals, this routine is kind
:07:33. > :07:36.of a dedication to his kids. It is about the love he feels for his
:07:37. > :07:41.children. I said, just feel that and whatever you feel that it come out
:07:42. > :07:46.through your arms and legs. The only thing I am not allowed to do in the
:07:47. > :07:51.middle of the routine is say, go to bed which could happen! Brush your
:07:52. > :07:59.teeth! What to think about the news that Jeremy Vine has agreed, once he
:08:00. > :08:03.should get to the final, to recreate the Mysterious Girl video?
:08:04. > :08:04.should get to the final, to recreate things first, I want him to get to
:08:05. > :08:09.the final. I think things first, I want him to get to
:08:10. > :08:14.and I'm so glad he's doing so well. If he recreates that, I am worried
:08:15. > :08:20.he will put me out of work. Everyone should get into the final because I
:08:21. > :08:26.would love to see that. Even if he doesn't get to the final, he is
:08:27. > :08:27.doing it, I did care! Good luck on your Viennese waltz. Peter and
:08:28. > :08:35.Jeannette! -- Jannette. If music be the food of love,
:08:36. > :08:42.play on. It's time for Tunes on Tuesday!
:08:43. > :08:46.The great Bob Marley once said, "The good thing about music is, when
:08:47. > :08:50.Well, hit me with your rhythm stick Mr Jukebox
:08:51. > :08:53.because we want to know what songs our couples are dancing to
:08:54. > :09:07.This year marks the 30 year anniversary since the band formed.
:09:08. > :09:12.But I digress, which of our couples will be dancing
:09:13. > :09:25.That's right, Jamelia and Tristan will be hoping
:09:26. > :09:31.the judges show a little respect to their Samba on Saturday night.
:09:32. > :09:38.That's The Jam with Going Underground.
:09:39. > :09:43.Although it wasn't written about the London Underground,
:09:44. > :09:46.did you know London's tube travels 43 million miles every year?
:09:47. > :10:04.That's right, Jeremy and Karen will be Going Underground
:10:05. > :10:07.I can see Jeremy as a Mod, can't you?
:10:08. > :10:20.That's Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince,
:10:21. > :10:24.also known as Will Smith, with Boom Shake The Room.
:10:25. > :10:31.But which of our couples will be dancing to this classic?
:10:32. > :10:39.Kellie and Kevin will be tackling the Samba to that.
:10:40. > :10:46.If you want to find out what all of our couples will be dancing to,
:10:47. > :10:49.click on the Strictly website. Can I sit down yet? I look ridiculous!
:10:50. > :10:52.Now, it's like she's never been away and she's back for more.
:10:53. > :11:15.I quite like it when you tell me off, I have to say. Let's talk about
:11:16. > :11:20.Peter and Jeannette. The highest score for him and for them so far.
:11:21. > :11:29.Utterly brilliant. Why was it so good? The great thing about
:11:30. > :11:34.choreography and teamwork is it leaves a lasting memory. It is all
:11:35. > :11:39.about the contouring. They were going fast into that lovely slow
:11:40. > :11:44.action. There were lifts and drops. It is just the teamwork between
:11:45. > :11:48.those two. And also the quality of the choreography. All the layering
:11:49. > :11:56.which is going on. I am in love with it from week to week. They have to
:11:57. > :12:06.keep coming back with more like it. It is all about the lasting memory.
:12:07. > :12:12.Let's have a look at Helen and Aljaz's drama filled rumba. There
:12:13. > :12:18.was the added drama of Len and Craig. Was there enough rumba or
:12:19. > :12:21.not? There is the drama of the drag here building up at the end,
:12:22. > :12:31.combined with the fundamentals of the basics and then the finish. That
:12:32. > :12:36.silence. I just loved it. If she had even slightly dropped her hand, it
:12:37. > :12:43.would have ruined the moment. I had to write my notes on this. What I
:12:44. > :12:49.like to say, not enough fundamentals. These two are poor
:12:50. > :12:52.imitation of the dance. Too much fundamentals can leave a performance
:12:53. > :12:57.with no appeal. So really we are saying, it is
:12:58. > :13:01.finding the balance. For Aljaz and all of our professionals, the
:13:02. > :13:05.Strictly clock is ticking. They can be changing choreography even to up
:13:06. > :13:10.on the day. We don't know where Aljaz was going. For me, our
:13:11. > :13:16.beautiful lady, she has still got to keep working on those legs. She has
:13:17. > :13:23.to be the master of seven different rumba walks. And let's talk very
:13:24. > :13:28.quickly, I don't want to upset everybody at home, I just want to do
:13:29. > :13:32.my demo. All the mums at home will be opening the fridge door, getting
:13:33. > :13:35.the dinner out and they will be closing it again. We are going to
:13:36. > :13:54.forward walk turning and then back. Seven different rumba walks they
:13:55. > :14:05.have to master. They have to get it out the way. They have got it out of
:14:06. > :14:07.the way, now let's get onto next. Anita and Gleb, their joys. Craig
:14:08. > :14:12.think he Anita and Gleb, their joys. Craig
:14:13. > :14:20.style, what did he mean? Full of energy, fast, energy, kicks but
:14:21. > :14:24.Craig was on the money. Kicks and flicks first of all, straight back
:14:25. > :14:27.and trainers gives the image of a rock and roll style dance and that
:14:28. > :14:33.was the first thing that was probably affecting the style of the
:14:34. > :14:38.dance. The second thing is we have the musical timing of a jive. Our
:14:39. > :14:42.international jive is a slower slow. That means one beat, three quarters
:14:43. > :14:46.of the time we stand on it. On another beat we stand there for a
:14:47. > :15:06.quarter of a moment and on the final moment we stand there for a whole
:15:07. > :15:08.beat. Basically one should be held for the longest amount of time. So
:15:09. > :15:11.it goes one two, 12-macro. That gives us this jive style. Where it
:15:12. > :15:14.was going quick, quick, quick, changes the style of the dance.
:15:15. > :15:20.Craig was nit-picking but it was only a little thing. Well done to
:15:21. > :15:28.them. Onto Jeremy and Karen and their Wild West tango. The audience
:15:29. > :15:35.went crackers. The judges were almost speechless. Was it a good
:15:36. > :15:44.tango? I am in love with the horse! That is another story. In general,
:15:45. > :15:48.he is mastering it. We have the head turns very sharp. It is all about
:15:49. > :15:56.the delivery of the execution. We love Jeremy. We just want to see
:15:57. > :16:06.more and more of the execution now. Before the end he goes, come on! He
:16:07. > :16:11.is saying Mark May. This is performance, entertainment and we
:16:12. > :16:15.are seeing him going back and back again! George and Giovanni finishing
:16:16. > :16:20.the show with their spicy samba. High praise, such speed, incredible
:16:21. > :16:21.technique. The judges said speed may have been George's downfall. What do
:16:22. > :16:31.you think? Gosh no. It is not only speed she
:16:32. > :16:37.has, it is the control. You can see the slow there. You have to be so in
:16:38. > :16:40.control of your legs and action, to be flying around that dance floor
:16:41. > :16:44.and to be able to control the slow is incredible. I love the power of
:16:45. > :16:48.her legs. The relationship between them. So much so, there is a tiny
:16:49. > :16:53.little error I have picked up on. I have to do it in slow motion. A
:16:54. > :16:58.simple arm. Watch now. The arm is going into the wrong position and in
:16:59. > :17:02.a heartbeat, he picked it up, put it in the right position and they have
:17:03. > :17:09.carried on as though nothing happened. None of us would have seen
:17:10. > :17:13.that. That's how strict my eye is. But so fast, they are that in tune
:17:14. > :17:17.with each other, he saw that arm going wrong, put it in the right
:17:18. > :17:21.place and it looked flawless. This is how clever they all are. Thank
:17:22. > :17:24.you for coming back, the wonderful Karen Hardy.
:17:25. > :17:27.This week's group dance is all about the many faces of love.
:17:28. > :17:40.I cannot wait for this week's group dance rehearsal. Romance has hit the
:17:41. > :17:45.Strictly studio and sweeping all the pros along with it. It is a row tan
:17:46. > :17:49.particular dance. A few love stories. In the dance you will
:17:50. > :17:53.follow through three different relationships. It is a love story
:17:54. > :17:56.initially, from the park, into the office, back into the park and
:17:57. > :17:59.eventually you will see how tlinges together. We are following different
:18:00. > :18:03.relationships through of the different dances. We have used
:18:04. > :18:07.ballroom dancing as the medium but we wanted to use a fusion, sometimes
:18:08. > :18:09.you see the Viennese waltz, sometimes the foxtrot, a little
:18:10. > :18:13.contestifiry in there. It is beautiful when they come together at
:18:14. > :18:17.the end. Working with Jason is probably by far one of my favourite
:18:18. > :18:21.things to do. He is so involved in every aspect and every inch of the
:18:22. > :18:26.routine. Five, six, seven, eight and one... He works us hard but he is
:18:27. > :18:32.one of the best choreographers in the world. Coming up with these
:18:33. > :18:37.ideas, it is outstanding. One or two key individuals pull it together and
:18:38. > :18:40.Jason is right at the top of that. It looks like another goody. Two
:18:41. > :18:53.weeks awhy they were joint first. But on Sunday night they fought
:18:54. > :18:55.and survived the dance off. Dare we say
:18:56. > :18:57.the word "roller-coaster"? Give them extra amounts of love,
:18:58. > :19:06.Kellie and Kevin. Hello my darlings. Give them extra amounts of love,
:19:07. > :19:10.Bless you, nobody saw Give them extra amounts of love,
:19:11. > :19:15.the weekend. Everyone was like - what's going
:19:16. > :19:20.the weekend. Everyone was like - shocked and gutted as we were all
:19:21. > :19:27.the weekend. Everyone was like - surreal moment. Not because it was
:19:28. > :19:32.the weekend. Everyone was like - does that mean we're through?
:19:33. > :19:36.the weekend. Everyone was like - and then - I mean everyone could see
:19:37. > :19:42.my face. When I watched it back I felt - oh my God, I look like I've
:19:43. > :19:47.been punched in the tummy or something. It felt like all the air
:19:48. > :19:52.had gone out of me. And my first thought was - don't krie, just don't
:19:53. > :19:58.cry. I looked at you and you went, "Are you OK?" And I was, "I'm OK."
:19:59. > :20:02.That was the hardest thing like, taking that big breath in and going
:20:03. > :20:07.- right, OK, here we go, onwards and I'm going to have to try to manage
:20:08. > :20:10.my nerves and all these emotions that are rushing through me and get
:20:11. > :20:14.through this next bit. Because I can't afford to mess this up. That's
:20:15. > :20:19.what I was thinking. All of that in a split second. In a split second.
:20:20. > :20:26.And when I watched it back, seeing everyone else's faces, which of
:20:27. > :20:42.course I had no idea about. They were all like - WHAT. Honestly Kev
:20:43. > :20:46.first time in the dance-off, dump - first time in the dance-off. What
:20:47. > :20:50.did it feel like? I felt bad. Don't. We were both in a daze. Not quite
:20:51. > :20:56.sure what to do. Full credit to Kellie. She picked up and danced
:20:57. > :21:01.even better in the dance-offs. I didn't, I was panicking. He was a
:21:02. > :21:06.superstar. Whatever was going on for him inside, he didn't let me know
:21:07. > :21:11.any of it. He was like a rock. He was like, "You can do this, we can
:21:12. > :21:16.do this, it is going to be fine. I know you have this in you, don't
:21:17. > :21:20.worry, it is all good." And you turned around and went - I want my
:21:21. > :21:23.mum! The wonderful thing is the judges unanimously saved you.
:21:24. > :21:29.mum! The wonderful thing is the said goodbye to Carole. They all
:21:30. > :21:32.decided to save you. Does that give you confidence back? The judges were
:21:33. > :21:36.all lovely. They were lovely right from the minute we were in the
:21:37. > :21:41.dance-off. They said really lovely things and yes, of course, it was
:21:42. > :21:45.great they all agreed to save us but for me t doesn't take away from the
:21:46. > :21:50.fact that people didn't vote for us. You know, they didn't vote. But
:21:51. > :21:55.there are all sorts of reasons why. That's hard not to take personally
:21:56. > :22:00.and not to go... What have you done, people? They don't like me. You have
:22:01. > :22:04.to remember that this often happens. Abbey Clancy, bottom two, went on to
:22:05. > :22:07.win. I think sometimes people who are doing well, the people who have
:22:08. > :22:13.less votes, I think sometimes get more votes. I don't know, you maybe
:22:14. > :22:18.wrong. That's what I'm thinking. Let's talk about your right
:22:19. > :22:22.shoulder, the nemesis. Get down! Let's remind ourselves of what
:22:23. > :22:30.happened. Only that right shoulder. . Oh, my right shoulder has a life
:22:31. > :22:35.of its own, Darcey. It has a lot of feeling. You bring it into it just
:22:36. > :22:39.too much. But when we - we did talk about this with Karen Monday's show.
:22:40. > :22:44.And she was like - it is only a little bit and then you correct it
:22:45. > :22:48.as well Well, apparently so. Kevin probably mentions my right shoulder
:22:49. > :22:54.in training, oh, how many times a session, do you reckon, 20? Probably
:22:55. > :22:58.more. Probably more. Don't give me your shoulder, don't give me your
:22:59. > :23:03.shoulder. I get that a lot. I don't know what it is. I don't know if it
:23:04. > :23:08.is tension. I think in ballroom because you have to be out to the
:23:09. > :23:12.left, I just automatically sort of do that to force myself out, rather
:23:13. > :23:16.than laying back there. Karen says you have to twist here and there.
:23:17. > :23:22.These are pernickity tiny things, aren't they? . Really small things.
:23:23. > :23:26.What I was really pleased about, though, was Len picked up on the
:23:27. > :23:30.double reverse swings and heel turns. We are working on technical
:23:31. > :23:35.things. We wanted it to be a quality waltz. It is not a big, flashy,
:23:36. > :23:40.showy dance, you can't throw yourself around and do lifts. You
:23:41. > :23:44.have to show quality. Obviously we had done fast dances for the weeks
:23:45. > :23:48.before, so we wanted to show that finesse and technique. Of course
:23:49. > :23:54.there will be things here and there, but I was pleased Len picked up on
:23:55. > :23:59.the quality of that. So was I. Let's leave that behind and let's move on
:24:00. > :24:05.you are doing a samba to Boom Shake The Room. Come on! Is it going to be
:24:06. > :24:10.like some crazy multi-coloured '90s' moment? Exactly what it is going to
:24:11. > :24:15.be. Exactly. We are so excited. I said to Kevin - we can't go home, we
:24:16. > :24:20.have to do next week, we have just got to do this routine. We have been
:24:21. > :24:23.so excited about it. I know. And because we are fighting for our
:24:24. > :24:28.lives now, we are going all out. What do you have planned then? You
:24:29. > :24:32.are already excited about it now, he is going crazy with the
:24:33. > :24:39.choreography, what delights can we witness? A lot of energy, full-on
:24:40. > :24:45.samba and a massive ghetto blaster. I can't wait There is a lot of hip
:24:46. > :24:49.action. That's what I will say a lot of hip action. Quite excited by

:24:54. > :24:57.practise. You don't physically have any more time. You have massive
:24:58. > :25:02.storylines in EastEnders at the moment. It is a really difficult
:25:03. > :25:07.thing for me. I knew that I would be doing both things at the same time
:25:08. > :25:13.when I said yes. I wanted to do it so much that I was - I will be fine,
:25:14. > :25:16.I will be fine but my brain is reaching saturation of going - you

:26:30. > :26:34.private website that we all have, that we can then look at and recap
:26:35. > :26:38.the dance and we come in for rehearsals on Monday mornings to
:26:39. > :26:44.recap it all. Who is the worst at forgetting things? Oh... . Some

:26:49. > :26:53.favourite part of being a pro on Strictly? That's a question. I think
:26:54. > :26:59.just the job in itself. I get to dance, I get to teach, I get to
:27:00. > :27:04.choreograph. And on top of it all I get to do it with the love of my
:27:05. > :27:08.life and some of my best and closest friends. It is just everything about
:27:09. > :27:12.it is amazing. I couldn't ask for a more perfect job. It is a dream job.
