:00:18. > :00:34.Gop one two and up. We're going to use our backs.

:00:35. > :01:22.Live from London, this is Strictly: It Takes Two! Please welcome your

:01:23. > :01:33.host, Zoe Ball. Hello and welcome to Strictly: It

:01:34. > :01:38.Takes Two. We are with you life for the next half-hour. Exciting stuff.

:01:39. > :01:42.Tonight we will be catching up with Katie and Anton, talking about their

:01:43. > :01:48.beautiful rumba last week. Vicky Gill will be giving us the gossip

:01:49. > :01:54.this weekend. The first time this series, the legendary ballet beauty

:01:55. > :02:03.judged Darcey Bussell is here. Russell will be getting up close and

:02:04. > :02:07.personal with dancers Ginette and Natalie. Santa has come early, the

:02:08. > :02:15.Strictly Christmas line-up has been revealed and we will be taking a

:02:16. > :02:23.closer look. First up, let's see how I need and Peter are getting on. --

:02:24. > :02:27.how Anita and Peter are getting on. I love the feel of this dance, the

:02:28. > :02:34.aggression and the passion. I spent a lot of time on the floor on this

:02:35. > :02:39.dance, sliding around on my bottom. I think I'll be bruised and battered

:02:40. > :02:49.before the week is out, for sure. You OK? I want to be able to do the

:02:50. > :02:54.best paso I can do and a paso that everybody watching will never

:02:55. > :03:00.forget. The jive is very fast paced, which I love, but there is a knot of

:03:01. > :03:05.-- a lot of footwork. You can't just get the moves, you've got to get

:03:06. > :03:13.them right. When I get it, it's going to be great! There's a lot to

:03:14. > :03:20.learn. No, it's a step on six. This one is completely different, it's

:03:21. > :03:24.down, up, down, up, head down... Oh! I aim to try and put all these bits

:03:25. > :03:31.together for this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. Well done,

:03:32. > :03:35.Peter. Fingers crossed. My head is still spinning from Anita hitting

:03:36. > :03:40.her head on the floor! Next up, she's going to help all the couples

:03:41. > :03:49.illuminate the strictly dance floor like Blackpool Tower this weekend.

:03:50. > :04:01.It's Vicky Gill, everybody! We've missed your giggle in the studio for

:04:02. > :04:05.the last couple of weeks. Your back. Strictly on tour, very exciting.

:04:06. > :04:09.What kind of added nightmares does this bring to you? It's just a lot

:04:10. > :04:14.very early on but they've done brilliantly. Big shout out for

:04:15. > :04:22.everybody working on the team. Such sterling work. We've got so much to

:04:23. > :04:26.get through. This is Katie's dress for the weekend in Blackpool. This

:04:27. > :04:30.is an absolutely stunning dress. By the way, her dress last week was

:04:31. > :04:35.incredible. One of your favourites, I'm not surprised. What can you tell

:04:36. > :04:41.us about this beauty? With our lovely Katie and and and, they are

:04:42. > :04:47.doing a ballroom number. We've been playing with the hemline of the

:04:48. > :04:55.skirt. This is going up about two thirds of the skirt. That's almost a

:04:56. > :05:05.bird! Serious feathers. We have mixed three ply boa. You've gone

:05:06. > :05:13.crazy! Because she's so tall and lovely, she can take that break.

:05:14. > :05:16.Crystals running through... The top line is not finished off at the

:05:17. > :05:20.moment because we're going to fit it tomorrow and then we've got Crystal

:05:21. > :05:23.Springs running around the back. So there will be a change, but

:05:24. > :05:29.essentially this is it. I can't wait! This is Helen's Charleston

:05:30. > :05:37.outfit. What is the inspiration behind this one? We're going to see

:05:38. > :05:41.many Helens on the floor at the weekend! The colour was from hell,

:05:42. > :05:45.we had a chat last week and for Blackpool we had a bit more time in

:05:46. > :05:49.preparation, so we've tried to grant colours where we can. It's not a

:05:50. > :05:53.typical Charleston dress but that's what they're going to be doing.

:05:54. > :05:57.We've made sure we've got lots of fringe on the bottom. Lots of

:05:58. > :06:02.ruffles, lots of wire through the ruffles. Just a bit fun really.

:06:03. > :06:12.She's had a haircut, it looks amazing. We are moving on to

:06:13. > :06:20.Janette's jive. Serious amounts of fringing is going on here. 45! There

:06:21. > :06:25.will be loads of movement. We may trim it down when we get to fittings

:06:26. > :06:31.but we won't lose a length. Very vibrant. I'm not sure it would have

:06:32. > :06:34.been a keynote colour but the group colour requires lots of primary

:06:35. > :06:41.colours so that is why we have yellow. Lots of movement, lots of

:06:42. > :06:48.sparkle and lots of fun really. Is he going to be wearing yellow? I do

:06:49. > :06:55.hope so! He would die! This is Anita's paso doble a outfit. You

:06:56. > :07:01.can't always request the colours but Anita did and she will be happy to

:07:02. > :07:05.know we said yes. We have some wide mesh over a base on the top.

:07:06. > :07:13.Crystals running through the whole thing to her top hip line. Pleated

:07:14. > :07:20.satin skirt and a long crystals it detailed down the back. It may

:07:21. > :07:27.change slightly by Saturday. Baby news, good luck to one of the girls

:07:28. > :07:30.on the team who is having her baby very soon.

:07:31. > :07:37.CHEERING The coach to Blackpool is waiting

:07:38. > :07:41.for you outside, Vicky. Off you go, bonfire

:07:42. > :07:54.-- off you go, bon voyage. We are live from the home of ballroom as

:07:55. > :08:04.strictly geared up to rock Blackpool. West life's Shane Filan

:08:05. > :08:08.and Nadine Coyle perform a stunning duet live in the studio.

:08:09. > :08:17.Thank you, hot lips. Craig called my next guest rumba and a bit

:08:18. > :08:19.melodramatic. Don't worry, he's just a rebel without a cause. It's Kate

:08:20. > :08:42.and Anton. Welcome Katie and Anton! I'm so

:08:43. > :08:45.excited I'm clapping myself! Why not? New look sensational on

:08:46. > :08:52.Saturday. Vicky was saying it was one of her favourite frocks. You

:08:53. > :08:56.wore it so well. You said you were concentrating on the technique and

:08:57. > :09:00.it certainly paid off. I was thrilled, I was so pleased. I was so

:09:01. > :09:06.thrilled that the judges made such nice comments because we had worked

:09:07. > :09:13.so hard on making it look classy and classic and sophisticated and really

:09:14. > :09:16.being in the moment. Katie pulled it off and I was absolutely delighted

:09:17. > :09:21.that the judges were really positive about it. I was so proud and

:09:22. > :09:29.thrilled with Katie. It's such a difficult dance, such a revealing

:09:30. > :09:36.dance. Especially in that dress! Did you enjoy it? You look like you were

:09:37. > :09:40.loving it out there. I really did. This week I just thought you know

:09:41. > :09:44.what, this is the most fantastic experience, a dance I've loved

:09:45. > :09:49.learning. I thought you know what, I'm just going to go out there and

:09:50. > :09:56.love it, and I did. Did you enjoy the passion? Look at you dancing

:09:57. > :10:08.with Anton. Look at those legs! And back she goes. Go on, touch the

:10:09. > :10:13.floor! Not many people can do that. Katie, did you enjoy that passionate

:10:14. > :10:26.side to it? Yeah, it was great. You've absolutely got to go for it

:10:27. > :10:31.in the rumba. As you put it pithily, no one wants to see us bump and

:10:32. > :10:36.grind. How do the points help you? It is lovely when you get a bit of

:10:37. > :10:42.recognition for doing a nice job. You tell yourself if it doesn't go

:10:43. > :10:50.well, never mind we enjoyed it. It's lovely when the judges like it! You

:10:51. > :10:55.worked so hard for that. Did your husband and the girls enjoy it? What

:10:56. > :10:59.did they think? I thought they might have been hiding behind the sofa but

:11:00. > :11:05.they were chuffed to bits. John was sitting there in the front row like

:11:06. > :11:10.this! When you're dancing that close to someone's wife... Izod, just

:11:11. > :11:20.stand over there a bit further away... It's your husband! Carreon

:11:21. > :11:25.ignore that... This week you are after Blackpool with this man in the

:11:26. > :11:30.dress we have just seen. It might be the best weekend you've ever had in

:11:31. > :11:39.your life! Well, after getting married! What can you tell me about

:11:40. > :11:46.the American... -- the American smooth. It's doing the American

:11:47. > :11:54.smooth in Blackpool, with Anton. He does love and American smooth. This

:11:55. > :11:59.is the music. What are you finding the hardest thing about this dance

:12:00. > :12:04.to master? It's been pretty much a joy from start to finish. I've got

:12:05. > :12:13.lots of boys to dance with. Several! LAUGHTER

:12:14. > :12:17.So four more pro-boys to dance with. I'm looking forward to having

:12:18. > :12:26.a bit more rehearsal with them tomorrow. We just haven't had much

:12:27. > :12:32.chance to practice. This is what you dream of that night, isn't it,

:12:33. > :12:39.Anton? Brush my teeth, top hat on, lovely! My toothbrush is a cane with

:12:40. > :12:43.a bit of brush on the end! I can so believe that! Sometimes in the

:12:44. > :12:49.changing room Anton forgets he has a partner. Anton has been working out

:12:50. > :12:58.the routine and I have been standing around trying to be helpful.

:12:59. > :13:21.If you're enjoying yourself, why stop him? I love it when your hair

:13:22. > :13:26.goes like that! When Anton is slightly undone, I love that. We all

:13:27. > :13:31.talk about how exciting that is. As a dancer, that sprung floor can do

:13:32. > :13:34.you have two choreographed it especially because it gives you that

:13:35. > :13:41.extra bounce? You didn't tell me about that! I wanted to save a bit

:13:42. > :13:51.of magic! Because it's a much bigger room and you've got more tee is --

:13:52. > :13:57.more tiers and it's just a wonderful and the sphere. You sweep across the

:13:58. > :14:01.floor and the crowd goes mad and everyone is singing and clapping

:14:02. > :14:05.their arms and everyone is going at the right time. And I am in a top

:14:06. > :14:21.hat and the boys go like! It will be an absolute standout.

:14:22. > :14:24.Good luck with it. Anton, stick around, I need to borrow your

:14:25. > :14:32.services to joke about the Christmas line-up. Oh really? Blackpool is

:14:33. > :14:44.bringing out the childlike wonder in our strictly stars. IN CHILDREN'S

:14:45. > :14:51.VOICES: Strictly is like a disco. Sometimes it makes me feel busy. I

:14:52. > :14:59.get to stay up past my bedtime. This is my paso doble face. In Blackpool

:15:00. > :15:05.there is a big tower. There's donkeys and ice creams. I'm excited

:15:06. > :15:14.to go because I've never been there before. How cute is that!

:15:15. > :15:20.Strange, but cute. Anton, you have laid the Christmas table. You are

:15:21. > :15:24.here because the Christmas line-up has been revealed. I need your

:15:25. > :15:34.expert opinion on our dance is. Do the honours. Our first contestant is

:15:35. > :15:38.Mr Harry Judd. He won in series nine with Aliona. He will be dancing with

:15:39. > :15:44.Joanne Clifton. What was so good about him? He was super. He had such

:15:45. > :15:50.quality about his dancing. He finished everything so well. There

:15:51. > :15:57.was never a hint that he was going to do wrong. He had great timing.

:15:58. > :16:06.What dance are they doing? We don't know. Well, he will be smart. Next,

:16:07. > :16:12.we have Abbey Clancy. She is back. She came first in series 11, dancing

:16:13. > :16:21.with Aljaz. This time, she is with Brendan Cole. How will that be for

:16:22. > :16:25.her? Frightening! Exciting. Brendan will not know what hit him. She was

:16:26. > :16:31.the most beautiful ballroom dancer apart from Katie Derham that we have

:16:32. > :16:41.ever had. I hope they do ballroom. Let's turn over another one. I am so

:16:42. > :16:45.glad she is coming back, Alison Hammond. This time, she is dancing

:16:46. > :16:51.with Robin Windsor. What do you think of them? That will be the most

:16:52. > :16:59.camp thing you have ever seen. I hope they do salsa or cha-cha. She

:17:00. > :17:11.can smash it up. Turn another one for me. It is Cassidy little. He is

:17:12. > :17:15.dancing in the Christmas special with Natalie. They got full marks

:17:16. > :17:19.for the paso doble. Will it be an advantage for him to dance with the

:17:20. > :17:23.same partner? It will be lovely, because it will be familiar, but he

:17:24. > :17:29.only danced one dance before, whereas the others have loads of

:17:30. > :17:33.experience. I am sure there will have a great time. He was super

:17:34. > :17:40.duper. It will be a tough competition. Two more to go. She is

:17:41. > :17:46.coming back, Lisa Snowdon. That is awkward, she danced with Brendan. It

:17:47. > :17:52.is all swapping. Lisa got incredible scores, 44 her quickstep, foxtrot

:17:53. > :17:57.and cha-cha. This time, she is dancing with Pasha. Could she get

:17:58. > :18:02.the trophy? Dancing with the hands Pasha? They will be very high on the

:18:03. > :18:09.leaderboard -- with the handsome Pasha. If she can still remember the

:18:10. > :18:25.moves. Finally, we have Mr Tom Chambers! He won series six. He is

:18:26. > :18:30.dancing with Oti Mabuse. How will he didn't? It was a long time ago that

:18:31. > :18:33.he was on the show. He has been busy doing various things and lots of

:18:34. > :18:44.shows with bouncing in them. He will be stylish. I remember his show

:18:45. > :18:48.dance the year he won. Thanks for doing this with me. I can't wait.

:18:49. > :18:53.Good luck in Blackpool, darling. Now, I have a file on all the

:18:54. > :18:57.professional dancers' past. The things I know about this man! Time

:18:58. > :19:05.to do delve into the filing cabinet for Janette and Natalie. Hello! I

:19:06. > :19:17.got us biscuits. The pink ones are the best. What was your big break?

:19:18. > :19:22.You were a banker? I was a banker! Did you ever think you would crack

:19:23. > :19:27.dancing professionally? I knew I loved performing, singing and

:19:28. > :19:32.dancing and acting, but music touched me more than anything else.

:19:33. > :19:36.It was hard for us in Miami. So I started working full-time as a

:19:37. > :19:40.banker, because I have always been good with numbers. But I had this

:19:41. > :19:45.gut feeling that this wasn't it for me, that there was something is

:19:46. > :19:49.coming. I never knew what it was, but I felt, this isn't it. I did an

:19:50. > :19:56.audition for so you think you can dance. And I got the job. When you

:19:57. > :20:07.are passionate about something and it resonates within you, you shine

:20:08. > :20:12.naturally. You are my favourite. What were you like as a kid? Were

:20:13. > :20:18.you girly? Did you like dresses and make up? I was really sporty, and

:20:19. > :20:22.girly. A little bit one of the boys, because my dad was a mechanic. I

:20:23. > :20:26.would doing grease and oil changes and helping dad clean the car. I

:20:27. > :20:31.didn't love school, because I was bullied as a child. The thing that

:20:32. > :20:35.kept me in school was my teachers and sport. I loved athletics. I

:20:36. > :20:40.loved the hundred metre sprint, high jump, long jump. Have I not been

:20:41. > :20:45.introduced to the dancing world, I would be doing some form of

:20:46. > :20:49.athletics. Amazing. So you did dancing with the stars in Australia,

:20:50. > :20:56.but how did you transition to the UK? Did you have to audition? I was

:20:57. > :20:59.introduced to try out for the UK or the USA, and I decided to come here.

:21:00. > :21:04.I love the tradition with Len Goodman and Bruce. Here is where it

:21:05. > :21:09.originated. So I came over here for eight hours. I didn't know the train

:21:10. > :21:16.system. I missed my meeting, which was really bad. But they saw me in

:21:17. > :21:20.the afternoon. So you flew in for eight hours and missed the meeting.

:21:21. > :21:29.Better late than never. I want to know what during

:21:30. > :21:33.saturation with these are. -- your infatuation. Why do you need to have

:21:34. > :21:39.one of these every day with at least one of your meals? The Cuban dish

:21:40. > :21:43.has a very popular side dish, all based on bananas. I grew up having

:21:44. > :21:50.that as a side dish with pretty much every meal. It is officially my

:21:51. > :21:57.favourite dessert, a banoffee party. Oh, wow! -- banoffee pie. I was

:21:58. > :22:03.like, why did I not have this before in my life? If it is on the menu, I

:22:04. > :22:12.will have it. I cannot believe they eat cheesecake

:22:13. > :22:15.and banoffee pie, they are tiny. Now, she brings girl power to the

:22:16. > :22:21.judges' panel and has to sit between Craig and Len. For that, we can only

:22:22. > :22:28.apologise. It is the gorgeous Darcey Bussell! We were thinking about

:22:29. > :22:32.laying a red carpet for you. How much are you enjoying this series?

:22:33. > :22:38.This season is extraordinary. You would never imagine that each season

:22:39. > :22:41.could get better, but it has. The standard is incredible. For me, I

:22:42. > :22:48.love the excitement that Strictly always brings to the autumn months

:22:49. > :22:52.and winter. It is a joy. I love putting on the bling and smiling and

:22:53. > :22:56.trying to be positive and get the best out of them. You always find

:22:57. > :23:00.something positive to say. Interestingly, the judges' scores

:23:01. > :23:09.can vary dramatically, and this weekend you scored less than Craig

:23:10. > :23:15.for Kellie and Kevin. How do you decide what you are going to score

:23:16. > :23:18.them? With this couple, she is one of the strongest celebrity girls.

:23:19. > :23:26.Have you seen how strong her Cory 's? It is amazing, the muscles. She

:23:27. > :23:32.is so compact. This was a fusion of styles, even more than we have had

:23:33. > :23:39.in the past. To have street dance and hip-hop, and then to have the

:23:40. > :23:44.samba, it just didn't moult. I couldn't handle it. It was the

:23:45. > :23:49.moulding together that didn't work. I have seen a lot of street dance

:23:50. > :23:55.and hip-hop and have even judged it, and it is that weird thing where, to

:23:56. > :23:58.wear high heels and do street dance, you don't do that. It was so

:23:59. > :24:03.impressive that she even attempted it. It just looked odd. A lot of the

:24:04. > :24:08.celebrity girls have to get those heels on sooner. She just didn't

:24:09. > :24:13.look comfortable. They have got to go into rehearsals from nearly day

:24:14. > :24:20.one, when they start learning the choreography, to get used to wearing

:24:21. > :24:29.heels. Do you ever argue with the other judges about their scoring?

:24:30. > :24:35.Sometimes we see you looking at each other after the cameras cut away. It

:24:36. > :24:39.is weird. We all presume each other will like something because of

:24:40. > :24:43.something. And then sometimes we surprise each other and go, why did

:24:44. > :24:50.you do that? I would have thought you would have said this. But it

:24:51. > :24:57.doesn't happen often. We do have quite a good chat! I love watching

:24:58. > :25:02.you have a gossip. I wish I could lip read. You do look like you have

:25:03. > :25:07.a great time. What is the best thing about being a judge on Strictly? For

:25:08. > :25:12.me, it is being part of a company again. It is a bit cliched, but it

:25:13. > :25:16.is a happy family. I have been brought up with that. All my life, I

:25:17. > :25:21.have been in a large company, working with a lot of dancers,

:25:22. > :25:25.aiming to get a great show on. It is lovely to be part of that again and

:25:26. > :25:31.I love this group. Everybody who works on Strictly, from wardrobe to

:25:32. > :25:36.the stage crew and lighting, it is amazing, the effort that goes into

:25:37. > :25:41.it. I am so lucky to be part of this and to produce an amazing West End

:25:42. > :25:48.show. And I get to watch it. Front row seats. What do you think about

:25:49. > :25:54.our new professionals, Giovanni and Gleb? They definitely bring an edge.

:25:55. > :26:02.They bring good looks as well, which is helpful. They have not revealed

:26:03. > :26:08.themselves totally yet. That is another perk of being a judge on the

:26:09. > :26:12.show. There are lots of bonuses. They do bring the level up for the

:26:13. > :26:18.other professionals. They all work so hard, but when you get new blood

:26:19. > :26:23.in, it brings everybody else up. It gets a bit more competitive. People

:26:24. > :26:28.are more creative choreographic Lee. You can see their mind ticking over

:26:29. > :26:33.and working harder. Although, how could they work harder? We have lots

:26:34. > :26:36.of questions from viewers. Emily wants to know, if you're dance

:26:37. > :26:42.partner was one of your fellow judges, which one would it be and

:26:49. > :26:56.close to being partnered by Craig professionally, because he has also

:26:57. > :27:00.choreographed things on shows by friends of mine. I suppose he would

:27:01. > :27:09.be the most natural physical match. I would love to work with Bruno

:27:10. > :27:21.because he is so alive. It would be so edgy. Len would be so comp entry

:28:03. > :28:06.but everything was going for it underneath. The style was perfect,

:28:07. > :28:15.the way they set the film up, everything. Very quickly, Alice, who

:28:16. > :28:21.is 12, says, what is your top tips for beginners starting? Don't start

:28:22. > :28:25.to sing and break your point shoes in the right place. You don't want

:28:26. > :28:31.to put them on brand-new, because they are like blogs. You have to get

:28:32. > :28:36.them into your hands and work them. They do this with ballroom shoes.

:28:37. > :28:44.Soften them, not too much, just at the top. Thank you, Darcey. Enjoy
