:00:00. > :00:08.Tonight on It Takes Two, I'm joined by Jay and Aliona.

:00:09. > :00:20.And we're saying goodbye to Peter and Janette.

:00:21. > :01:21.Live from London, this is Strictly - It Takes Two, please welcome your

:01:22. > :01:26.host, Wasn't it a brilliant show

:01:27. > :01:31.at the weekend? The ten paddle made

:01:32. > :01:33.a few appearances. That Quickstepathon was, well,

:01:34. > :01:35.quick. And,

:01:36. > :01:37.I don't know about you, but I was enjoying Craig's new facial

:01:38. > :01:42.hair. Right, on tonight's show, we'll

:01:43. > :01:51.be talking to Jay and Aliona. I am still recovering from the flash

:01:52. > :01:54.of chest. And Karen Clifton will be here

:01:55. > :01:57.as she goes under the Strictly But first,

:01:58. > :02:01.it's time to bid farewell to Peter and Janette, after they foxtroted

:02:02. > :02:03.their way out of the competition. # Don't you forget about me as you

:02:04. > :02:35.walk on by. # There were about 50

:02:36. > :02:43.of these left over from your routine, and we didn't want

:02:44. > :02:57.them to go to waste, so, tuck in. They are two days old, they will be

:02:58. > :02:59.stale. You have been so brilliant in the

:03:00. > :03:10.competition. Surprisingly, I feel fantastic. You

:03:11. > :03:15.can even see how much I was smiling. It has been an incredible journey.

:03:16. > :03:20.In the end, I said, it has been nothing but joy and I meant it.

:03:21. > :03:24.You have brought us nothing but joy, and a lot of puns! I have one

:03:25. > :03:25.for you later. What did your kids say

:03:26. > :03:35.when they realised you were out I am seeing them tomorrow and I know

:03:36. > :03:39.they will be so happy that they got to see dad doing so many different

:03:40. > :03:44.things. They will probably give me grief, probably.

:03:45. > :03:44.And you will get your revenge when they are teenagers.

:03:45. > :03:47.At this point in the competition, the dancers left are

:03:48. > :03:53.So, does everyone have the fear that it could be them leaving?

:03:54. > :04:01.There was a very quiet calm eerie feeling in the hallways this last

:04:02. > :04:06.weekend, because everyone is so focused and determined to do well.

:04:07. > :04:10.It is such a tight competition. Every single competitor could

:04:11. > :04:13.It is such a tight competition. win. Yes, I think it is the closest

:04:14. > :04:18.one ever. I think you are right.

:04:19. > :04:23.The dance, the music... You were at the bottom

:04:24. > :04:27.of the judges' leader board How disappointed were you to also

:04:28. > :04:31.come last in the Quickstepathon? Were you hoping you could

:04:32. > :04:39.make up some points? I didn't think it was quick but

:04:40. > :04:43.slow! Look, you have got to understand when it is your time, you

:04:44. > :04:50.had to bow out gracefully and it was my time. Three times top of the

:04:51. > :04:56.Leader Board, twice at the bottom. Which, for me is a winner.

:04:57. > :04:57.I am happy. More at the top than at the bottom.

:04:58. > :05:00.When you knew it was you two against Kellie and Kevin in the dance-off,

:05:01. > :05:13.With the dance-off, you never know. I said to Peter, we need to have a

:05:14. > :05:19.blast, it might be the last one. Kevin is one of my best friends. To

:05:20. > :05:23.be in the dance off with him was frustrating.

:05:24. > :05:29.Last year, it was Karen. What is it, Clifton family!

:05:30. > :05:32.You are right, they danced, we went off it? I only just made that one up

:05:33. > :05:34.on the spot. Now, dance-off aside, on Saturday,

:05:35. > :05:37.your American Smooth foxtrot had Craig and Darcey disagreeing over

:05:38. > :05:51.a certain cup cake placement. When you are putting the cup in Cape

:05:52. > :05:56.Town, you don't just throw it, you have to dance that moment. You still

:05:57. > :06:04.have two dogs it through, you can't just throw it on the table.

:06:05. > :06:16.He didn't throw it. Take bigger steps, darling.

:06:17. > :06:21.By the way, what flavour was it? I couldn't even taste it.

:06:22. > :06:25.Then Tess couldn't get it from her hand.

:06:26. > :06:29.Did you see what I did? The second time, I not only gracefully put it

:06:30. > :06:35.down but I looked at Craig really slowly and he burst out laughing.

:06:36. > :06:38.Then I missed the next step! Craig, it is your fault.

:06:39. > :06:45.Dance that cupcake back on to the plate, please!

:06:46. > :06:56.Here it comes, ladies and gentlemen, look at those fingers.

:06:57. > :07:01.Let us see it again. Why didn't I do that on the night.

:07:02. > :07:04.One of your most memorable moments of the series was that

:07:05. > :07:25.Let's remind ourselves of how fantastic it was.

:07:26. > :07:31.What a tune. I love that song. It makes you so happy.

:07:32. > :07:38.Which was your favourite dance? That one. I always said the chow chow,

:07:39. > :07:40.then that one. I will have these memories for life,

:07:41. > :07:45.I may take it on tour. So many people are sad to see you

:07:46. > :07:47.leave the competition, She watches the show with your

:07:48. > :07:56.picture every week. In fact, we have a message

:07:57. > :08:10.from one very special person. Peter, devastated you are gone. I am

:08:11. > :08:15.really going to miss you. Going to cherish every moment we had

:08:16. > :08:22.together. Promise me you will call, promise you will, right?

:08:23. > :08:33.Oh, my gosh. I am going to miss Bob, I have to say.

:08:34. > :08:45.Bob. We have loved watching you so much. Let us have a look at your

:08:46. > :08:52.best moments. Your Mysterious Girl is Jeannette!

:08:53. > :08:57.I honestly cannot tell you how happy I am that I have got Jeannette as my

:08:58. > :09:04.dance partner, she is a little powerhouse.

:09:05. > :09:09.Cha-cha. Back and forward and stop. Why am I not feeling this yet?

:09:10. > :09:14.Because you are still in hip hop. You were overflowing with attitude,

:09:15. > :09:19.it was brilliant. Up at the top, Peter and Janette

:09:20. > :09:25.with 30. Just how quick is this quickstep?

:09:26. > :09:32.Sorry, hang on, sorry. I think you have a hit here.

:09:33. > :09:37.Jack Sparrow. I said, are, are you serious?

:09:38. > :09:44.Jack Sparrow, you are no Sparrow, you are an eagle.

:09:45. > :09:58.That one was better. This week it is the rumba.

:09:59. > :10:04.Out with anger, in with love. The Fox trot this weekend,

:10:05. > :10:06.Halloween. You are dancing to Ghost.

:10:07. > :10:10.Your shoulders were sometimes coming up, not as much as normal.

:10:11. > :10:14.Whenever I see the judges individually I tell them how

:10:15. > :10:18.grateful I am because what I am learning is invaluable.

:10:19. > :10:21.I love Peter Andre come he is my biggest fan.

:10:22. > :10:24.Probably the most fun I have had since the beginning of the

:10:25. > :10:35.competition. I tell you what, watch this bad

:10:36. > :10:41.knee, that was fantastic! Line. Ten from me.

:10:42. > :10:46.Well done. Are you buzzing? I am so happy I can't tell you.

:10:47. > :10:52.Well, I just did. This Viennese waltz is so graceful

:10:53. > :10:58.and beautiful. I would have liked to see you in

:10:59. > :11:03.hold a little more, which you are very capable of around the floor.

:11:04. > :11:11.The jive is very fast paced but there is a lot of footwork.

:11:12. > :11:15.To be honest, it wasn't your finest. I am afraid it falls at the bottom

:11:16. > :11:19.of the pack. The first couple in the dance-off

:11:20. > :11:24.is... Peter and Janette.

:11:25. > :11:29.I deserved to be in that dance off, I did. I don't think virgin media

:11:30. > :11:33.should have been there. Peter is definitely working hard

:11:34. > :11:38.with a fight attitude about him. It looked careful in places, that

:11:39. > :11:44.would be the only thing. I thought you were holding back, you will

:11:45. > :11:48.normally more natural and relaxed. In seventh place is Peter and

:11:49. > :11:53.Janette. The couple in the bottom two is

:11:54. > :11:59.Peter and Janette. The couple I would love to save is

:12:00. > :12:04.Kellie and Kevin. Kellie and Kevin. Kellie and Kevin.

:12:05. > :12:10.It has been nothing but joy, we have come so far. I love everything, I

:12:11. > :12:13.love you guys. I love you and I am so glad to have you as

:12:14. > :12:23.life. You have worked so hard.

:12:24. > :12:28.Look, they are crying. You have made me cry.

:12:29. > :12:35.Where are the tissues? Here is your book.

:12:36. > :12:41.I think that the one person you should go out to dinner with in this

:12:42. > :12:58.condition is Georgia because Georgia May Foote the bill!

:12:59. > :13:04.You, my dearest friend, the patients you have shown has been

:13:05. > :13:08.unbelievable. We have had some great moments. You have worked me hard, I

:13:09. > :13:12.deserved to be kicked where I was because I needed to work hard. The

:13:13. > :13:16.only thing that has made me sad about not going to the end is I

:13:17. > :13:20.could not get you there, that is the truth.

:13:21. > :13:30.I promise you. I am so relieved that I will be at home with the family.

:13:31. > :13:33.But the one thing that makes me sad is I couldn't take you all that

:13:34. > :13:35.weight and I wanted to do it so badly.

:13:36. > :13:41.You are the best. You are better. Everybody treated us with such love.

:13:42. > :13:47.I am giving a full speech at? Do you want the tablecloth?

:13:48. > :13:52.Who would you like to see win? Peter and Janette!

:13:53. > :13:59.You see, it is hard. You have seen the standard, it is incredible.

:14:00. > :14:03.You have got someone like Jay, the guy is phenomenal. Then Georgia who

:14:04. > :14:09.is also phenomenal. Helen, they are all great. I don't know.

:14:10. > :14:18.You have been a true gent, a lovely positive force of energy.

:14:19. > :14:19.And you are a god S. Peter and Janette! Don't forget your

:14:20. > :14:22.cupcakes. Our couples get up to all

:14:23. > :14:24.sorts behind the scenes. Well, at the weekend, we kept a

:14:25. > :14:44.beady eye on a certain Bruno Tonioli Hello, darling! Thank you! Follow

:14:45. > :14:48.me, my good one. It is the quiet before the storm. You have to be

:14:49. > :14:55.focused. This week we're down to the Magnificent Seven and it's a crucial

:14:56. > :14:59.night the cars we decide who will be part of the quarterfinals. --

:15:00. > :15:02.because we decide. It is very nerve wracking. Everyone is working

:15:03. > :15:06.extremely hard to impress the judges and the public. For me to jump out

:15:07. > :15:12.of my chair, there has to be something that really kicks into my

:15:13. > :15:18.guts and captures my heart. You've got to make the guy feel something.

:15:19. > :15:21.He's got to feel it from the inside. Nothing clinical. What really gets

:15:22. > :15:27.me going is when I forget about being a judge and I see something

:15:28. > :15:34.that stands out regardless. He likes to stand up and make a statement!

:15:35. > :15:38.That image comes into my head and then it gets expressed like cherry

:15:39. > :15:53.trees! Tango trek! The last frontier! Three words to describe

:15:54. > :15:59.Bruno? Gorgeous. Insightful. Kind. All of the dancers and pros are

:16:00. > :16:08.rehearsing, so how do I look? Get out! If we thought quickstep was bad

:16:09. > :16:12.enough, they decided to add a Quickstepathon just make it even

:16:13. > :16:18.harder! We are all doing completely different quickstep spot to the same

:16:19. > :16:25.song. Whose idea was it to do a quickstep?! It's ridiculous! It is

:16:26. > :16:33.really difficult. People do this all the time. This is how competitions

:16:34. > :16:38.work, isn't it? I didn't realise how much you can hear other couples

:16:39. > :16:43.giving each other notes. Like, hold on, hold on! Being on hold means I'm

:16:44. > :16:50.not going to be looking at anything except at there, so I have to have

:16:51. > :16:53.all my faith in Kevin Clifton! We are going a bit further in the

:16:54. > :17:11.competition and it is getting difficult. Very close to going on,

:17:12. > :17:22.everybody. Come on! Showtime, folks! Got to go! Got to go!

:17:23. > :17:25.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Thank you, Bruno.

:17:26. > :17:27.There are now six couples left in the competition.

:17:28. > :17:29.And, with the quarterfinals on the horizon,

:17:30. > :17:31.we've noticed a few interesting findings for all you factoid fans.

:17:32. > :17:33.Firstly, although there are six celebrities

:17:34. > :17:38.That's the first time that's ever happened in Strictly history.

:17:39. > :17:41.Also, of the remaining couples, only one has never been top

:17:42. > :17:46.Yes, unbelievably, it's Anita and Gleb.

:17:47. > :17:49.Aliona and Aljaz are the only two pros that are still

:17:50. > :17:52.in the running to become the first professional dancer to lift the

:17:53. > :18:00.And, the most shocking fact of all is, Anton is through to

:18:01. > :18:05.the quarterfinals for only the fourth time in 13 series.

:18:06. > :18:12.In other news, as per usual, the creme de la creme of the celebrity

:18:13. > :18:17.world were out in force on social media at the weekend, including:

:18:18. > :18:23.Strictly superfan Miranda Hart, who was loving the Quickstepathon, said:

:18:24. > :18:35.Meanwhile, across the pond, Dame Joan Collins said:

:18:36. > :18:42.At the weekend they got their highest score

:18:43. > :18:45.of the series with what Len described as one mango of a tango.

:18:46. > :19:14.Can I just say, another fantastic shirt! Thank you.

:19:15. > :19:18.Did you know as soon as you started training that this

:19:19. > :19:27.There is definitely a Wednesday, Thursday moment when I really start

:19:28. > :19:31.to enjoy dancing it a lot and then it comes down to whether we do a

:19:32. > :19:40.mistake or not and the mistake inevitably throws us off. At... The

:19:41. > :19:44.team was finished -- the routine was finished Thursday evening. That's

:19:45. > :19:46.quite late! Because you have to rehearse all day Friday. So right

:19:47. > :19:48.down to the wire. Well done. What did your mum think

:19:49. > :19:58.of your performance? She was in a pub and said, the roof

:19:59. > :20:04.just came off! She was watching on a big screen in the pub. I thought the

:20:05. > :20:06.roof literally came off! But it was just cheering. Sometimes you have to

:20:07. > :20:09.explain these things to me! Did you ever think you'd be

:20:10. > :20:20.pulling in the 10s for the tango? I never think of the scores. I

:20:21. > :20:25.listen more to the comments. The more important thing is how we do

:20:26. > :20:33.and how Jay performs, so I never think of it until we get up there

:20:34. > :20:49.and they show us the scores. And it wasn't just 210s. It was 29s. -- two

:20:50. > :20:51.tens and two nines. Well, it was received well...

:20:52. > :20:56.How much work goes in to creating a performance of that level?

:20:57. > :21:04.It takes everything out of you. I think emotionally and physically,

:21:05. > :21:10.because we work long hours and Jay works really hard. He's really tough

:21:11. > :21:13.on himself and very, very critical. Yeah, or the technique and acting

:21:14. > :21:19.and the feeling and leading and everything that goes into it. -- all

:21:20. > :21:23.the technique. It takes a long time so the dance is ready pretty much by

:21:24. > :21:26.Saturday morning, hopefully! Fingers crossed!

:21:27. > :21:33.Well, one judge was positively flustered after your tango.

:21:34. > :21:46.Darcey, it takes two to tango. What did you think? Oh, my... Well...

:21:47. > :21:50.What did you think when you looked at Darcey and she was having that

:21:51. > :21:54.reaction? It feels good because during the dance it is meant to be

:21:55. > :21:57.passionate and serious, so when somebody reacts like they were

:21:58. > :22:01.feeling what you were feeling, it is good, and to watch it back and

:22:02. > :22:13.analyse it, the breast she was doing well areas! -- the breathing she was

:22:14. > :22:20.doing was hilarious! You got your highest score on the jive. Do you

:22:21. > :22:24.feel you've finally matched it? I think technically we must have done

:22:25. > :22:32.something really good and everything else is taste, so some people are

:22:33. > :22:37.like, I really love that waltz one. But lots of people loved Pulp

:22:38. > :22:42.Fiction and they thought, what's happening? But the jive will always

:22:43. > :22:48.have a special place in my heart but the tango... It was the first really

:22:49. > :22:56.amazing one. I've watched that over and over again. That's a really good

:22:57. > :22:59.sign, isn't it? Hang on, let's talk about the Quickstepathon. We all

:23:00. > :23:10.thought you were a scholar by the way. -- were ace, by the way. With

:23:11. > :23:16.everybody on the floor at the same time, was it dangerous, was it

:23:17. > :23:19.exciting? I can honestly say I absolutely loved every single second

:23:20. > :23:24.of it and I realise now why people do that, because there is so much

:23:25. > :23:27.adrenaline, trying to weave through people, and you can hear people

:23:28. > :23:33.correcting each other, panicking, and you are just dancing to this

:23:34. > :23:38.sort of... It was just fun! I want to do it every week! I'm sure that

:23:39. > :23:43.could be arranged! There were moments when I saw your lines and,

:23:44. > :23:50.oh! We didn't bump into anybody once! There were three couples

:23:51. > :23:56.together and one of the kicks, when you look, only as the kick, it was

:23:57. > :24:04.like, whoa! Two shows between you and the final, Aliona. There is a

:24:05. > :24:09.chance you could be one of the couples to win the trophy twice. How

:24:10. > :24:15.much does this possibility excite you? Actually, I never think about

:24:16. > :24:19.that. We do actually take one dance at a time. As long as the dance that

:24:20. > :24:25.we do is great and everything goes to plan, I'm so happy. She's driven

:24:26. > :24:33.only by results and I cry weekly! LAUGHTER

:24:34. > :24:37.It is the truth! That is so funny! You are also the only boy left in

:24:38. > :24:46.the competition. It is musical is weak and rumba time. What are you

:24:47. > :24:51.doing? We are going to do a rumba to the song Falling Slowly from the

:24:52. > :25:00.musical Once. Oh! I've never seen it. How is the rumba going? Because

:25:01. > :25:05.people have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it. I genuinely

:25:06. > :25:11.love it. People put at bit too much emphasis on, it is a difficult

:25:12. > :25:13.dance. If you understand what it is about it is easier because

:25:14. > :25:17.dance. If you understand what it is half the steps that you would

:25:18. > :25:22.usually have in any other dance. So if you get the idea of the movement,

:25:23. > :25:29.it is actually almost somewhat easier because it's like less steps

:25:30. > :25:34.to learn. Less steps to learn! Just a bit of undulating and all of that!

:25:35. > :25:39.You will be fine! What do you think about Peter going? It is a real

:25:40. > :25:44.shame. I said it a few times but really he is the most reassuring guy

:25:45. > :25:47.ever. Even in his tough weeks he goes, that's fine, and then he asks

:25:48. > :25:58.you about how your week is. I don't like it. Such a positive energy and

:25:59. > :26:03.always upbeat. Just beautiful. Good luck with the dance that has less

:26:04. > :26:09.steps than the rest! Jay and Aliona! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:26:10. > :26:13.Our backstage beavers have been busy fact-finding for weeks!

:26:14. > :26:23.Well, it's time to make one of our professional dancers really sweat.

:26:24. > :26:25.Welcome to Strictly Spotlight, the new quiz that's got

:26:26. > :26:28.our professional dancers quaking in their dance shoes.

:26:29. > :26:31.And the first pro brave enough to go under the Spotlight is

:26:32. > :26:45.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Hi, gorgeous! This is quite scary,

:26:46. > :26:50.isn't it? We have missed you. A beautiful dance with Kevin name to

:26:51. > :26:53.end. You ready for this, Karen? This is how it works.
