:00:08. > :01:16.Um, sorry that may have been my fault!
:01:17. > :01:19.Hello and welcome to It Takes Two, live with me, Zoe Ball.
:01:20. > :01:30.It's official - we have our semifinalists!
:01:31. > :01:39.And in a shocking result, I'll be speaking to Helen and Aljaz,
:01:40. > :01:42.who just missed out on a place in that semifinal gang.
:01:43. > :01:45.Plus - stop the press - we read between the lines
:01:46. > :01:47.of all the Strictly action from the weekend with three headline
:01:48. > :01:54.And a real treat - ex-Strictly professional dancers Darren Bennett
:01:55. > :01:58.and Lilia Kopylova are back right here.
:01:59. > :02:02.If you've got a question you'd like me to put to them, send it in
:02:03. > :02:06.Before all that, let's remind ourselves of Helen
:02:07. > :02:55.I'm so sorry this has happened to you, Helen. Honestly, you've been so
:02:56. > :03:01.incredible to watch and it was great seeing you go all the way. How are
:03:02. > :03:05.you feeling today, the day after the big day? OK. I'm a bit
:03:06. > :03:09.shell-shocked. But it was really nice having a lie in this morning
:03:10. > :03:16.but really strange not going off to rehearse. Couldn't get through! I'm
:03:17. > :03:20.surprised you don't do that anyway. There should be some kind of
:03:21. > :03:24.little, you know... You could hang out and have a little camp and we
:03:25. > :03:29.could do this show with profits! Of course, last week, top of the
:03:30. > :03:33.leaderboard, you still have the highest cumulative score across the
:03:34. > :03:39.series, so you will always have that, till next week! There's not
:03:40. > :03:43.much more you could have done. I suppose there's always something
:03:44. > :03:46.more one could do but I suppose in the dance off, you know, I was given
:03:47. > :03:54.very clear directions on what I needed to do in it and I hope I did
:03:55. > :03:58.all of that, so in that way, I don't think I could have done anything
:03:59. > :04:05.more in the dance. I think I stumped so hard in all of paso moves. It was
:04:06. > :04:11.definitely very strong. You could hear it coming through the
:04:12. > :04:16.television! Aliona, 34 points, -- Aljaz, 34 points, how unfair does it
:04:17. > :04:23.feel and how upset you? Did you have a bit of a cry? I did. I had a bit
:04:24. > :04:28.of a cry with myself. It's hard. You know what? We had an incredible,
:04:29. > :04:36.incredible one. Every single week we perform some dances... Every single
:04:37. > :04:40.week the dances that we did, when I had them in my head and when you
:04:41. > :04:44.choreograph and come up with things, you see how you would ideally want
:04:45. > :04:50.them to look but they looked better. And, you know, I was so proud of
:04:51. > :05:00.Helen every week. I have... It's a bit of a bittersweet taste. But,
:05:01. > :05:07.guessed, we did our best. We did. Look at your lovely paso face! The
:05:08. > :05:11.aggression! What's that about?! So much feeling and passion. How much
:05:12. > :05:17.did you enjoyed the routine? It was so fast. And also, I can tell you, I
:05:18. > :05:25.have not stopped singing that song! It's in my head and I can't get it
:05:26. > :05:31.out. I know! It's in my head. I love the dance. I really did. I think
:05:32. > :05:35.Aljaz was given a very tricky dance to choreograph, a paso, because it
:05:36. > :05:40.was so fast and a hard dance, but we both loved the song and I loved his
:05:41. > :05:45.choreography, so it was so much fun to do. It was really great. I
:05:46. > :05:49.enjoyed doing it a second time as well because I got to correct by
:05:50. > :05:54.mistakes that made. So that was the joy of doing it. When you did that
:05:55. > :06:03.thing with your leg... I can't it! The speed! Just amazing. And your
:06:04. > :06:08.legs just go on forever! I can name it now. It was the Helen special!
:06:09. > :06:13.Creative! So many lovely messages from everybody.
:06:14. > :06:15.Actor Jake Wood, semifinalist from last year's show,
:06:16. > :06:18.said, "Aljaz and Helen, big love, guys, sad to see you both go.
:06:19. > :06:21.And the one and only Miranda Hart, your Call the Midwide co-star,
:06:22. > :06:26.Well done - amazing dancer and lady".
:06:27. > :06:33.And Kate tweeted to say her little boy is your biggest fan and he's
:06:34. > :06:40.threatened to stop watching the show! Don't do that! It's been such
:06:41. > :06:49.an incredible story. Let's look back.
:06:50. > :06:56.It's Aljaz! I can't believe I've been partnered with Aljaz! I'm over
:06:57. > :07:04.the moon. The dance is the waltz. Posture, posture. That was very
:07:05. > :07:10.good. I know there's somebody you really wanted to impress tonight.
:07:11. > :07:22.Your idol, Darcey. Such grace and romance and glimmers of Ginger
:07:23. > :07:30.Rogers there. It was fabulous. Wow! Aljaz has created a character of
:07:31. > :07:35.Crystal the showgirl. Yes! You could afford to loosen up a little bit, to
:07:36. > :07:40.be honest. I felt there was a steel rod running through your entire
:07:41. > :07:50.body. It's a lot faster than the other dances. Are you OK? Help!
:07:51. > :07:55.It's fabulous to see this naughty, spicy side to you and you loosened
:07:56. > :08:00.up those hips. Well done! I didn't know if you had it in you. The
:08:01. > :08:08.quickstep is harder than I thought it would be. Fabulous! I didn't
:08:09. > :08:19.expect to be top of the leaderboard at all. You've delivered again, the
:08:20. > :08:25.midwife! Yes! You were like a siren out there! The drama was perfection!
:08:26. > :08:27.This week we are doing the Charleston and it's definitely the
:08:28. > :08:34.most difficult choreography we've done. I felt like it was a little
:08:35. > :08:40.bit too controlled and two placed. This dance should go mad and wild
:08:41. > :08:45.and you can look ugly in it. -- too placed. I wanted them to enjoy the
:08:46. > :08:49.dance in the way I hoped they would because I can't dance any harder.
:08:50. > :08:56.It's embarrassing! I'm not a pretty cry! The judges are deftly going to
:08:57. > :09:06.be looking for perfection this week. It's the waltz. -- definitely. This
:09:07. > :09:12.was a match made in heaven. Nine! My goodness! That's amazing! Amazing!
:09:13. > :09:17.Thank you so much! Congratulations at being top. You have the most
:09:18. > :09:24.points. I didn't know that till just now. Don't feel any pressure (!) The
:09:25. > :09:31.paso was really difficult so I don't really understand what I'm doing.
:09:32. > :09:38.It's truly interesting to see Helen with aid it'll angry face this week!
:09:39. > :09:44.I love you but I hate you! -- a little angry face. I could see the
:09:45. > :09:47.face, I could see the drama and the fight within you but I just wanted
:09:48. > :09:57.to feel it with your body. I felt you were a bit tight. A couple I'm
:09:58. > :10:02.going to save is George and Giovanni. George and Giovanni. I've
:10:03. > :10:06.just had the most amazing time and spending my time with Aljaz, he's
:10:07. > :10:12.the most fantastic teacher but most of all friends. You've amaze me with
:10:13. > :10:18.your level of professionalism and commitment to every dance and it was
:10:19. > :10:29.a joy. Thank you so much. Oh! Is there anything you would like
:10:30. > :10:33.to say to Aljaz? Get a tissue! Whenever we were feeling sad or low
:10:34. > :10:44.we would do this thing, and I would sing like this... That is beautiful!
:10:45. > :10:48.We are all adopting that. That is so cute! Thank you so much for those
:10:49. > :10:53.memories. You have entertained us and been incredible to watch
:10:54. > :10:59.dancing. Who would you to win now? You can't ask us! I can! But you
:11:00. > :11:08.will never answer. Jeremy Vine! He was good, wasn't he (!) All of them
:11:09. > :11:13.have been dancing for a while so... 14 years! So you really get into it
:11:14. > :11:16.and everybody is getting better and better and I wish all of them the
:11:17. > :11:22.best of luck and smash the semifinals and finals! Helen and
:11:23. > :11:28.Aljaz! Aren't they wonderful? Oh, no!
:11:29. > :11:31.We all saw what happened on the dance floor this weekend, but what
:11:32. > :11:42.Strictly is a very happy place to be. Essentially, you are inside an
:11:43. > :11:51.actual glitter ball. It's magical! And obscenely happy. Dancing makes
:11:52. > :12:01.me happy, hanging out with Anton makes me happy. The whole thing.
:12:02. > :12:07.Kevin said to me, you are a dancer now, and it made me the happiest
:12:08. > :12:11.person alive. I couldn't believe it. How can you not be happy when
:12:12. > :12:15.everything is covered in glitter? Giovanni, you makes me smile every
:12:16. > :12:23.day. He is funny, you makes me laugh. -- he makes me smile. Cheers,
:12:24. > :12:28.Joe. Getting to the semis would be an amazing feeling. I would feel
:12:29. > :12:35.like a balloon being blown up with happy juice!
:12:36. > :12:43.This week is musicals week, and musicals week is always one of the
:12:44. > :12:51.most fun. Tonight we all get to do our own production. I kind of wish
:12:52. > :12:57.my whole life was a musical so this is my dream! It is quite hard not to
:12:58. > :13:01.sing along because the song is absolutely beautiful. So what I do
:13:02. > :13:14.instead is a serious acting face like this... But then I sing-a-long.
:13:15. > :13:29.I love it. I am a real-life princess. She is beautiful. But she
:13:30. > :13:52.is the beast. No! We are ready! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
:13:53. > :13:55.Now we've got a real Fleet Street treat for you.
:13:56. > :13:58.Welcome journalists Nina Myskow, Steven Perkins and Emma Bullimore!
:13:59. > :14:07.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Hello! We were having a right little
:14:08. > :14:13.gossip during that film. Nina, how much have you enjoyed this series?
:14:14. > :14:19.I've been obsessed! Jeromy was fantastic. A revelation. He worked
:14:20. > :14:33.so hard. And when Craig called him Would eat out of Toy Story it was
:14:34. > :14:36.just so funny. But I've been obsessed with it to the point of...
:14:37. > :14:42.You know, when Peter Andre went out, I so loved Janette's surname,
:14:43. > :14:50.whenever she comes out, I shout her surname. She is still there so I can
:14:51. > :14:57.shout it! My little girl shouts, she is not a man! Steven, how open do
:14:58. > :15:02.you think the competition is this year? Well, we saw it this weekend,
:15:03. > :15:05.you cannot call it. It's just an incredible top six. I'm at the point
:15:06. > :15:09.where I love them all. It's heart-wrenching. I don't want
:15:10. > :15:16.anybody to leave this weekend but I knew summary had to. Anybody could
:15:17. > :15:22.get into the final. -- I knew somebody had to. It will all depend
:15:23. > :15:26.on the performance on the night. And the dance and performance and
:15:27. > :15:32.everything. Some of the headlines - starting with Helen's elimination.
:15:33. > :15:36.How surprise were you that Helen has gone? Especially after being top of
:15:37. > :15:41.the leaderboard just last week? It was shocking, I have to say, but I
:15:42. > :15:45.found the dance a bit messy for me somehow. To be perfectly honest, I
:15:46. > :15:49.had difficulty empathising. There was certain dances where you
:15:50. > :15:58.thought, I want you to win, and Helen is so perfect, it was a lack
:15:59. > :16:03.of empathy on my part. And the paso is about throw-down and
:16:04. > :16:08.aggression... So it was a bit of a mismatch, I think. Aljaz did the
:16:09. > :16:14.best with what he had... And so did Helen. It was cracking. She was
:16:15. > :16:19.brilliant. She performed beautifully and in so many weeks you has been
:16:20. > :16:23.absolutely fabulous but for me she was too perfect. This can happen.
:16:24. > :16:30.You can always be too good. It's ridiculous. That's talk about
:16:31. > :16:36.Georgia. Really upset about being in the dance off. They have worked so
:16:37. > :16:41.hard, all of them, at this point, so how happy were you to see her go
:16:42. > :16:46.through to the semifinals? So happy. To lose at this stage would have
:16:47. > :16:49.been so sad. It was unfortunate. Though the footwork was beautiful
:16:50. > :16:53.perhaps there weren't enough wow moments to show people. They will
:16:54. > :16:56.top of the leaderboard at the beginning and I think later people
:16:57. > :17:02.forget to vote. It reminds everybody. Would you agree?
:17:03. > :17:05.Absolutely. I thought it was wonderful. I was amazed she didn't
:17:06. > :17:15.get any tens. I thought she would get at least one. Maybe she got
:17:16. > :17:19.distracted by the characters. She was the perfect Disney Princess. I'm
:17:20. > :17:28.sure every little girl wanted to be her. And she and Japan ER just...
:17:29. > :17:33.They are edible! -- and Giovanni are just... Be quite that's move on to
:17:34. > :17:41.the top of the leaderboard... No, let's go to Anita. They afforded the
:17:42. > :17:43.dance off. Hurray! But she got a 6 from Craig. How harsh did you think
:17:44. > :17:54.that was? Were you furious? I did hit the exposed
:17:55. > :17:59.bit. Some of the kicks weren't as sharp. But she is so good and such
:18:00. > :18:06.an amazing spectacle of a performance. I loved it. I thought,
:18:07. > :18:11.I was on the phone straightaway dialling until my fingers bled. She
:18:12. > :18:19.throws herself into the character and she is fantastic. I want her to
:18:20. > :18:24.win. When they pointed out that she was pigeon-toed I could see it. I
:18:25. > :18:28.couldn't walk across here without being criticised and rightly so, but
:18:29. > :18:34.I could see that. I could understand what they were saying. I feel when
:18:35. > :18:37.they say to the dancers you're pigeon-toed, you can't do much about
:18:38. > :18:44.that when you have lived your whole life with your feet turned in. There
:18:45. > :18:52.is so little time to change that. They could break her ankles! And Jay
:18:53. > :18:57.and Aliona's rumba, this performance left Darcey in tears, did it move
:18:58. > :19:08.you, Nina? I wasn't in tears, but it was stunning. Is it rumba or rumba?
:19:09. > :19:14.It was lovely. I hated his outfit, but Yes. With the musical. I thought
:19:15. > :19:25.he is such a wonderful dancer, but he does need to emote more and he is
:19:26. > :19:34.getting there. But his face in repose is not very lively. When he
:19:35. > :19:45.showed more feeling. I still need more feeling. Sna The Charleston is
:19:46. > :19:50.make or break. Gurn, Jay, gurn! Kellie, one highlight was Kellie's
:19:51. > :19:57.face as they went through, let's remind ourselves. In no particular
:19:58. > :20:11.order the fist couple through is... Kellie and Kevin! Thank you! Oh, I
:20:12. > :20:18.love it when you can feel that emotion. How happy were you for
:20:19. > :20:24.Kellie? Very happy that song and dance were a match made in heaven.
:20:25. > :20:32.That could have been an audition for Oliver in the west end. That music
:20:33. > :20:37.has the waltz tempo perfect. But she's always done these comedy
:20:38. > :20:44.numbers. I would like to see her do a proper romantic waltz. I did like
:20:45. > :20:53.that. It was too cockney. I loved that. It is time to take a risk.
:20:54. > :21:01.They got swamped by the musical feeling. I like it. And now,
:21:02. > :21:05.wardrobe mall function of the night goes to Katie, whose hat fell off.
:21:06. > :21:13.Look how she dealt with it. Brilliantly. There it goes. But she
:21:14. > :21:17.still acts take it off. She looked incredible. Everybody saying how you
:21:18. > :21:23.know excited they are to see Anton do well. Are you a fan of his
:21:24. > :21:29.partnership? Yes, I think they're wonderful together. I wanted more
:21:30. > :21:37.from the foxtrot. Anton dancing to maybe this time is the perfect song.
:21:38. > :21:41.I wanted him to be high-kicking. Both of them giving everything. That
:21:42. > :21:46.is what you do at home in your living room. That is what I do with
:21:47. > :21:52.a potty on my head or whatever. How do you like to see win? We can talk
:21:53. > :21:59.about it now. I think Jay, but what I would like is a mixture of the two
:22:00. > :22:06.who haven't had dance training and Anita's passion with Katie's
:22:07. > :22:10.elegance and I would like Katie to lose her school prefect badge. In
:22:11. > :22:19.fact I would like her to lose her knickers. Anita. Anita and Gleb,
:22:20. > :22:21.because Gleb's choreography. She is biased. She has got it bad. Haven't
:22:22. > :22:28.we all? Thank you all. Now, Strictly has seen a few
:22:29. > :22:31.pro-mances over the years - that's Most recently Kevin and Karen,
:22:32. > :22:35.and Aljaz and Janette. However,
:22:36. > :23:04.my next guests were the original MUSIC: Everyone's a Winner. 10! That
:23:05. > :23:15.is great dancing. The muse sick was great. The winner of Strictly Come
:23:16. > :23:26.Dancing are... Jill and Darren. Darren and lily.
:23:27. > :23:28.It's Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova!
:23:29. > :23:51.First, congratulations, little Valentino. It is six year, do you
:23:52. > :23:57.remember it with fond memories? When you have time to look back, you can
:23:58. > :24:01.look back easier. At the time it is so intense. So it is very intense at
:24:02. > :24:05.the time. So when you have a chance to look back on it later, the
:24:06. > :24:11.celebrities you have worked with. After changing the nappies. Yes and
:24:12. > :24:18.you know taking the dog for a walk. It is nice to reminisce. You saw it
:24:19. > :24:22.grow, how much do you think it changed in that time? The show is
:24:23. > :24:26.different. We had nothing. We just had our partners. Ourselves and the
:24:27. > :24:35.floor. Now you have to graphics. The props. The moving props. The lights.
:24:36. > :24:44.It is amazing. Lily had six celebrity partners. You never lose
:24:45. > :24:48.it. Both of you, talking of the six partner, Darren, we remind ourselves
:24:49. > :24:52.of ladies you danced with. Could you choose a favourite? I was fortunate
:24:53. > :24:58.that I had great partners who I got on with very well, all with very
:24:59. > :25:01.different personalities and different journeys. But the people
:25:02. > :25:07.you win with is always the special one. Again we're God friends with
:25:08. > :25:15.Jill still and we see each other all the time. So probably Jill. That
:25:16. > :25:21.jive you did was so good and I think it is you scored a 40. We did.
:25:22. > :25:29.James' jive this year is the only time anyone has come close. As a
:25:30. > :25:36.jive, I thought it was technically Intel gent. But he wasn't wearing a
:25:37. > :25:45.three inch heel and a frock. -- Intel gent. It was a good piece of
:25:46. > :25:49.work. Let's remind ourselves of your partners. Goughy there. Can you
:25:50. > :25:54.choose a favourite? They were all lovely, but I have to go with the
:25:55. > :26:01.winner. Mr Gough. It has to be Darren. You remember he started...
:26:02. > :26:06.Do I remember? Of course I remember! He wouldn't wear dance shoes for a
:26:07. > :26:14.start. I have just about forgiven him. Do you see him ever? Yes we see
:26:15. > :26:20.them sometimes at events, but we are all busy. As much as you can. When
:26:21. > :26:24.you see them it is like you see each other every week. I keep having
:26:25. > :26:32.flash backs to the Strictly tour we had. What goes on tour stays on
:26:33. > :26:37.tour! Do you still watch the show and keep up with it? Yes. Who have
:26:38. > :26:40.you liked this year? It has been tough. I think this year there have
:26:41. > :26:45.been so many good dancers and sometimes I watch and I think, who
:26:46. > :26:52.is going to go? There is nobody naff. The consistency has been key.
:26:53. > :26:56.It was a big shock this week for everyone that Helen left, because
:26:57. > :27:01.she was potential winner probably. So just I think the level has been
:27:02. > :27:05.amazing. It is. This weekend will come down to what dancers -- dances
:27:06. > :27:09.they have and the public vote and it will be so close. It will be the
:27:10. > :27:16.closest semi-final we have had for years and years. Craig has texted in
:27:17. > :27:23.to say who would you like to have danced with out of this year's
:27:24. > :27:30.celebrities? Well obviously Jay. As a male celebrity, he is incredible.
:27:31. > :27:37.His spins are like a pro. His rumba was incredible. It has to be him. I
