:00:00. > :00:00.It's very exciting, as we're merely minutes away from revealing who is

:00:07. > :00:13.stepping in to Karen Hardy's shoes for this week's Choreography Corner.

:00:14. > :00:16.and managed to short-list it to these lucky three.

:00:17. > :00:20.So, will it be pop superstar, Beyonce?

:00:21. > :00:24.Or perhaps the world renowned former principal dancer with

:00:25. > :00:34.Let's face it, there's no competition.

:00:35. > :01:23.ANNOUNCER: Live from London, this is Strictly, It Takes Two.

:01:24. > :01:39.On tonight's show, Mr Ian Waite will be stepping into Dame Karen Hardy's

:01:40. > :01:46.And fans of Global Glitterballs stay tuned as we'll be finding out

:01:47. > :01:52.what Strictly looks like across the North Sea in Scandinavia.

:01:53. > :01:55.But first, in a break from It Takes Two tradition,

:01:56. > :01:58.it's not the saved couple keeping my sofa warm.

:01:59. > :02:02.Instead, it's one of our other semi-finalists and, as the saying

:02:03. > :02:06.goes, this pair have had more tens than I've had hot dinners.

:02:07. > :02:34.How does it feel to be a Strictly semi-finalist?

:02:35. > :02:43.It feels good. I have an official title. Semi finalist. That's all

:02:44. > :02:50.you've ever needed in life. A rumba, not always everyone's favourite

:02:51. > :02:56.dance to watch or to do. But it can be a tricky mistress. Len said it is

:02:57. > :03:00.very difficult for boys. Look how well you did. Did you ever imagine

:03:01. > :03:04.it would be a rumba that was your top scoring dance? Never at all.

:03:05. > :03:10.Costume definitely thought, can we get away with a jeans and shirt you

:03:11. > :03:14.bear every day? I'm wearing it now. You are, haven't even changed. I

:03:15. > :03:18.didn't think it would grab people. But it did. Can you ask you, how

:03:19. > :03:25.easy was it dancing in jeans? Did it get a bit hot? They were quite

:03:26. > :03:29.elastic. Are you wearing elast Kated waists at your age! You have to go

:03:30. > :03:36.out there and sell a love story when you dance a rumba. How was that? Was

:03:37. > :03:41.that easy? I think because it wasn't like a big showy, here's what it is,

:03:42. > :03:46.you're in love, it was a really quiet in love. The musical is a

:03:47. > :03:53.really quiet in love. And the song was quiet in love. And my dancing is

:03:54. > :03:58.quite quiet. Not very loud. I thought, OK, I can think about the

:03:59. > :04:03.steps and dance around. I think it's easier to do a rumba when you have

:04:04. > :04:07.actual characters to play and you have an actual musical so you're

:04:08. > :04:12.telling a certain story. It is not just you two. It's somebody else.

:04:13. > :04:20.So, two people creating a story that already exists. Aliona, you've

:04:21. > :04:33.changed your hair. I know. You even dyed your hair for the role? We were

:04:34. > :04:39.playing two roles that exist. They nos raisy aliens. You did it so

:04:40. > :04:43.brilliantly. Is it a dance that came naturally to Jay or did you have to

:04:44. > :04:46.work really hard for this one? I think the dancers are pretty much

:04:47. > :04:52.the same. We work really hard on all the dances. It is a matter of will

:04:53. > :04:57.we go wrong or not? All the dances we work as hard equally. But we

:04:58. > :05:02.don't know what will happen. Monday I was a little bit thinking, ooh.

:05:03. > :05:08.You were getting almost a bit depressed. I wasn't grumpy or tense

:05:09. > :05:16.but you know when someone's quiet and you hear a million things. Are

:05:17. > :05:23.you OK? Yeah, I'm OK. Are you sure? Did you say "fine." Zipped up by bag

:05:24. > :05:27.and left! Incredible though, the judges absolutely loved it. They

:05:28. > :05:32.really, really did. Tears in Darcey's eyes. How does it feel to

:05:33. > :05:39.have that affect on Darcey? It's great. It doesn't just mean it was

:05:40. > :05:44.danced technically well but they were carried away with the acting.

:05:45. > :05:50.They've said it over and over again. OK, we're all good. If there are

:05:51. > :05:53.tears it is not just emotive. Not just technically good, really it

:05:54. > :06:00.meant we'd done something they'd been asking for. It's great to see

:06:01. > :06:03.people feel the same way we did when we were dancing it. You could really

:06:04. > :06:10.feel the connection. It was beautiful. What do you think it will

:06:11. > :06:18.take to get a 10 from Craig? I don't know if that exists. But, really, I

:06:19. > :06:24.think a 9... People don't understand how much work it takes to even get a

:06:25. > :06:27.9. When you see an 8, it's what! Such a stamp of approval from

:06:28. > :06:33.someone who is a professional judge. I don't know. I think that Big

:06:34. > :06:38.Questions for a 10 might be a never ending wild goose chase. Will we see

:06:39. > :06:44.Craig's 10? We'll discuss it later on. As we saw on Len's Lens, you had

:06:45. > :06:50.Craig and Len bickering over you. Our favourite part of their tiff was

:06:51. > :06:59.Len's mature insult to Craig. Give over, go and have a shave! Go and

:07:00. > :07:04.have a shave! Top of the judges leaderboard, three 10s and your

:07:05. > :07:12.highest score this series. So, so good. Did you know that you have

:07:13. > :07:20.added a couple more entries in the McGuinness World Words. Here it is.

:07:21. > :07:23.You have now the joint highest ever male celebrity rumba score along

:07:24. > :07:27.with Matt Di Angelo from the 2007 Christmas special. Are you loving

:07:28. > :07:32.that picture of yourself? State of that. It's beautiful! You have

:07:33. > :07:38.received the most 10s from the judges so far this series. Six of

:07:39. > :07:44.them. Wow! Amazing. How does that feel? Happy with that. Really happy.

:07:45. > :07:49.Fingers crossed you get some more. We're not that surprised you were

:07:50. > :07:57.good at the rumba. We have closely observed and study your music

:07:58. > :08:04.videos. # I will be remembered for

:08:05. > :08:13.centuries... # Who is Heather? Her name was Heather

:08:14. > :08:20.as well. Real name? Still is, unless she saw Shah video and change it bee

:08:21. > :08:26.deed Pol. I assume you still speak, you and Heather? OK! Now, last time

:08:27. > :08:29.you got this far in the competition,al Yoann in a, you were

:08:30. > :08:36.with Harry Judd. You got to the final and you won. You winner, you!

:08:37. > :08:42.I know. Do you think you could win this year with Jay? Don't listen,

:08:43. > :08:47.Jay. I think anyone can win this year. Everyone has a fair shot.

:08:48. > :08:52.Everyone's amazing. Every couple has something very special about them.

:08:53. > :08:59.So, it's anybody's game. Honestly. You can listen now. Do you feel any

:09:00. > :09:06.pressure now? Aljaz is out of the competition. . Aliona is the only

:09:07. > :09:11.pro in the competition who could win the trophy twice? At the end of last

:09:12. > :09:14.week, when Helen left, I sat there and started spiralling out of

:09:15. > :09:19.control. I can't believe it. What will happen. Next week, we've two

:09:20. > :09:22.dances. What's going on. I had a bit of getting slapped by Aliona moment.

:09:23. > :09:26.This is what you're going to do, learn your dances. Do them well just

:09:27. > :09:32.like any other week. OK, that's what it is. Pull yourself together. Was

:09:33. > :09:38.if like Aeroplane where they line up? Exactly. Just the two dances

:09:39. > :09:43.this he can would. Viennese waltz and charleston. Where shall we

:09:44. > :09:49.begin? Which is your favourite? I've only learned one of them. That must

:09:50. > :09:53.be your favourite. Yeah. Which is that? Viennese waltz. It is

:09:54. > :09:58.different from waltzing, it is quicker and has a different feel.

:09:59. > :10:05.Not sure what that feel is yet. But it's's quick! Is he right? Is that

:10:06. > :10:11.even close? It's close. She's not despairing yet. What have you in

:10:12. > :10:16.store for Jay for the charleston? We have a great choreographer doing our

:10:17. > :10:20.charleston, Ryan. Our routine will be a bit different to any other

:10:21. > :10:26.charleston that was on Strictly to this day. It will be a bit more

:10:27. > :10:31.modern and it will be a bit more the way charleston is danced now by

:10:32. > :10:35.everyone. I like this. Not old school charleston but more the way

:10:36. > :10:40.they do it now. With facial expressions? Charleston is crazy. Is

:10:41. > :10:46.Jay going to have to give it all that or slightly more modern as

:10:47. > :10:51.well? Slightly more modern. Still charleston, a happy dance. But it

:10:52. > :10:56.will not be just... Slapstick? Not so much. A cool one. A cool

:10:57. > :11:04.charleston. How do you feel like that? I think me and cool go really

:11:05. > :11:10.well together! Daniel O'Donnell sends you him singing to cheer you

:11:11. > :11:16.up. What a lovely thing to do? . He's awesome. We have a group chat,

:11:17. > :11:22.since day one. When they have their day's off they'll send a message in

:11:23. > :11:26.their PJs. Daniel sang and wished everyone good luck. I was in a pub

:11:27. > :11:29.this week. Two Irish girls came up and were talking to me. I

:11:30. > :11:32.this week. Two Irish girls came up video of them singing to him.

:11:33. > :11:37.Beautiful. Good luck with your charleston and Viennese waltz. You

:11:38. > :11:41.are utterly brilliant. Jay and Aliona.

:11:42. > :11:44.CHEERING. I

:11:45. > :11:47.So far on our Global Glitterball journey we've seen what the Danish,

:11:48. > :11:50.Indian and Lebanese versions of Strictly have to offer.

:11:51. > :12:05.. Next up in our Global Glitterballs tour is a country famous for ABBA,

:12:06. > :12:11.flat-packed furniture and meatballs. Yes, it's Sweden. Sweet enrecently

:12:12. > :12:17.finished its 10th series of their version of Strictly called Let's

:12:18. > :12:21.Dance. The head judge is a man called Tony Irving who grew up down

:12:22. > :12:25.the road from our own Georgia May Foote in Lancashire. I'm off to meet

:12:26. > :12:30.him. Hi, Tony. So lovely to meet you. Nice to meet you too.

:12:31. > :12:36.Congratulations on being a judge for ten years. Thank you. How big is the

:12:37. > :12:41.show in Sweden? The only thing that's bigger is the Eurovision Song

:12:42. > :12:48.Contest. A good pedigree. Who are the big celebrity names this series?

:12:49. > :12:55.We've had some mega names. Jonas, a former world tennis players. Marie

:12:56. > :13:00.from the pop group and a stylist Eunice. He was hilarious. Couldn't

:13:01. > :13:05.put his left foot in front of his right foot but could make you laugh.

:13:06. > :13:10.What's the difference between Let's Dance and Strictly Come Dancing? Our

:13:11. > :13:14.show is prayer comedy. Everything is done to entertain. So the dancing

:13:15. > :13:20.show is prayer comedy. Everything is main part of the show. How is it

:13:21. > :13:22.being a Brit in a Swedish show? When I speak Swedish, I sound like I'm

:13:23. > :13:30.still from the north of I speak Swedish, I sound like I'm

:13:31. > :13:35.SPEAKING SWEDISH Are the judges from Sweden similar to our judges? We

:13:36. > :13:41.only have three. Ann is our Darcey. Very technical. We have Dermot who

:13:42. > :13:46.does his thing. I'm like this combination of Craig and Len. When

:13:47. > :13:49.you see something you like you're very complimentary but when you

:13:50. > :13:54.you see something you like you're something you dislike, you go hurt

:13:55. > :13:58.'em? The problem is, most of the stuff I don't like. Do you have in

:13:59. > :14:05.gossip or headline stories from this series? This year, we had a major

:14:06. > :14:10.crisis. I accused Ingmar, a living Hedge End in Sweden, of not doing

:14:11. > :14:17.his best and the other judges of cheating to treat him well! We got

:14:18. > :14:24.the front page in all the major newspapers. Judging panel chaos. We

:14:25. > :14:28.ended up not speaking to each other for nearly four weeks. All because I

:14:29. > :14:33.did my job and told them off. I don't understand it. Which were your

:14:34. > :14:38.favourite dancers of this series? It is always when the celebrity makes a

:14:39. > :14:45.breakthrough. One of the biggest was Jonas, the tennis guy, this stuff

:14:46. > :14:50.middle-aged man suddenly became this sex U hung for all the women... And

:14:51. > :14:56.me! Tony, an absolute pleasure talking to you. We've gone full

:14:57. > :14:57.circle. I think we need to go. My stomach's not agreeing with me up

:14:58. > :15:01.here. Let's go. Dear viewers, it's come to

:15:02. > :15:06.our attention that something ia missing from the world of

:15:07. > :15:10.Strictly so far this series, so we've been forced to launch

:15:11. > :15:12.an It Takes Two appeal Yes, missing from action this

:15:13. > :15:17.year is Craig's 10 paddle. The paddle in question was

:15:18. > :15:22.last seen on 20th December - After Simon Webbe and Kristina's

:15:23. > :15:31.Argentine tango. There's already been a lot

:15:32. > :15:33.of concern on social media. Caroline said, "Still no 10 paddle

:15:34. > :15:36.from Craig. What will it take?" Nicola said, "Should have been 40!

:15:37. > :15:40.A-maz-ing. And a source close to the paddle

:15:41. > :15:44.said, "Ahh come on, Jay was well worthy

:15:45. > :15:48.of a 10, darling." There are suspicions that

:15:49. > :15:51.the paddle could have got into the wrong hands if these

:15:52. > :15:54.sightings are anything to go by. Here it is on Saturday with

:15:55. > :16:00.Kellie Bright's son, Freddie. And just a few weeks ago it was

:16:01. > :16:05.right under our noses here at ITT, when it popped up with some of

:16:06. > :16:09.Daniel O'Donnell's fans. If you have any information,

:16:10. > :16:14.photo sightings or have seen Craig's Paddle, Please Contact Us

:16:15. > :16:20.Using #findthepaddle. As Karen Hardy is halfway

:16:21. > :16:28.around the world she's only gone and left her

:16:29. > :16:30.choreography corner unattended and you'll never guess

:16:31. > :16:53.whose made himself at home in it? It feel so strange, sat on the sofa.

:16:54. > :16:58.The purple sofa, it's a beautiful thing. What did you think of

:16:59. > :17:01.musicals week? At some point, I felt like I was sitting watching a

:17:02. > :17:06.musical, a West End musical, and I thought the production was

:17:07. > :17:09.incredible, I thought the music, the lighting, the make up, and last but

:17:10. > :17:17.not least, the choreography from the professionals, give them a round of

:17:18. > :17:22.applause. Spectacular work. Were you surprised by the shocking bottom

:17:23. > :17:28.two? It was always going to be sad because they are also good. I was

:17:29. > :17:32.shocked. And I thought that at this point in the competition, he goes to

:17:33. > :17:36.show that you can be at the top of the leaderboard and still be in the

:17:37. > :17:43.bottom two. I thought it was sad that Helen, one of my favourite

:17:44. > :17:48.dancers, actually went. Sad to see them go. And she did so brilliantly.

:17:49. > :17:59.Let's start with Georgia and Giovanni. Straight lines for the

:18:00. > :18:04.foxtrot. -- straight nines. Craig said is delightful, enchanting. What

:18:05. > :18:08.did you think? I thought it was like a fairy tale. I loved the extra

:18:09. > :18:13.characters, especially the candlestick. That was my favourite.

:18:14. > :18:19.As you see from this clip, what I loved about it, I talk about a

:18:20. > :18:26.flower in the vase, and as you can see, they had that rounded shape at

:18:27. > :18:30.the top, and her head goes out. This is absolutely superb. She is stuck

:18:31. > :18:35.to them like glue. To be honest, I could not find anything wrong with

:18:36. > :18:39.that but then I am not sitting in the Judges' seats. From a viewer's

:18:40. > :18:44.point of view, I could see no technical faults. I would have been

:18:45. > :18:53.close to giving her ten. He is crafty like that. Anita and Gleb

:18:54. > :18:58.found themselves near the bottom. Craig only gave them a 6. He said it

:18:59. > :19:02.exposed her weak points. What did you think about that score? Was that

:19:03. > :19:06.they are? I agreed that there were certain points about her technique

:19:07. > :19:16.that needed to be worked on but I thought that the sex was very harsh.

:19:17. > :19:23.It was too harsh. -- the six was very harsh. The character that she

:19:24. > :19:27.dances, I loved the fact that she did this so low. She looks great

:19:28. > :19:33.among those professional dancers behind her. And then she ends with

:19:34. > :19:38.that amazing cartwheel, with not a fear, not a doubt in her mind that

:19:39. > :19:39.she is going to make it. It is just at the

:19:40. > :19:43.she is going to make it. It is just at the end. If you look at her

:19:44. > :19:50.position at the end, she should have had a straight leg, and she has a

:19:51. > :19:57.turned in food, so these are the details that he was on about. --

:19:58. > :20:04.turned in foot. A lot of the scissor kick. Kellie and Kevin, Craig said

:20:05. > :20:11.it was common, but he loved it. Did this and conventional take impress

:20:12. > :20:14.you? -- unconventional take. It was a different interpretation but it

:20:15. > :20:21.was pitched perfectly for that theme. I would have said, can I have

:20:22. > :20:24.some more. It was consistently good and it had consistent energy and

:20:25. > :20:29.performance throughout. I absolutely loved it. I picked this clip because

:20:30. > :20:33.I wanted to show you. They go straight into a Flegel from a

:20:34. > :20:38.standstill position, which is a difficult thing to do. And I watched

:20:39. > :20:46.very carefully the footwork, and her footwork was perfect. Would you go

:20:47. > :20:51.with these dancers? If there is one detail that is not quite right, the

:20:52. > :20:56.performance is great and the technique was great. The energy was

:20:57. > :21:02.brilliant. Jay and Aliona scored the joint highest score of the series

:21:03. > :21:08.for their rumba. Do you think it deserved ten from Craig? I thought

:21:09. > :21:11.it was absolutely brilliant. I loved the basic content and the

:21:12. > :21:18.contemporary feel of it. It was full of musicality, but I have to say, at

:21:19. > :21:23.the beginning I did see a heel leap. You should never see that in a

:21:24. > :21:35.rumba. I would not have given it ten. As you can see, the clip, the

:21:36. > :21:44.contents, he does a basic van into three 3s, and then it goes into a

:21:45. > :21:49.sliding door. And then he checks, and these are all the elements that

:21:50. > :21:55.Len Goodman would be looking for. He does this lovely spiral. Look at

:21:56. > :22:03.that. I thought I would demonstrate. Craig was talking about for two,

:22:04. > :22:12.two, three, four, one. He needed to hope that a little bit more. But the

:22:13. > :22:19.piece de resistance was the turn. That was pressure. Unbelievable.

:22:20. > :22:24.Katie and Anton and the foxtrot that earned them their joint highest

:22:25. > :22:29.score of this series. What was so good about this? Look at this. I

:22:30. > :22:36.spoke earlier about them losing contact throughout. All away through

:22:37. > :22:42.this, she goes into the kick, and they don't lose contact once. It is

:22:43. > :22:47.absolutely amazing. Really, they did a splendid job and she was smooth

:22:48. > :22:52.throughout. Great job. And her legs, gorgeous. It was absolutely

:22:53. > :22:58.beautiful. You are back tomorrow. I am! I am! We have tunes on Tuesday

:22:59. > :23:03.coming up and we might need your help.

:23:04. > :23:05.Now, any Strictly fan should have an encyclopedic knowledge of the show.

:23:06. > :23:08.You know, just the simple stuff like, first ever perfect score was

:23:09. > :23:12.given to Jill Halfpenny for her jive in Series 2 and since Kevin Clifton

:23:13. > :23:14.has been on Strictly, he's accumulated a total of 1,465 points.

:23:15. > :23:21.But if you're a bit rusty, don't worry, because Robin Windsor has

:23:22. > :23:38.It's me, Robin, running down your most favourite Strictly moments from

:23:39. > :23:47.a to see. Had some great moments so far, so let's continue with the

:23:48. > :23:52.letter T. T is for Tango, now, too obvious. It is really for torsos.

:23:53. > :23:59.Our celebrities have shown a lot of flesh over the years but you don't
