:00:57. > :00:59.Hello and welcome to your first It Takes Two of the week!
:01:00. > :01:03.The show that's clinically proven to wash away those Monday blues,
:01:04. > :01:07.thanks to active ingredients such as sparkle, sequins and glitter.
:01:08. > :01:11.And the glitterati were out in force on Saturday for another night
:01:12. > :01:22.But for one of our couples, their Strictly journey had to come
:01:23. > :01:25.to an end and tonight they're here to say a fond farewell.
:01:26. > :01:38.Also, we're in safe hands tonight because Ed and Katya are here!
:01:39. > :01:40.Plus, with Karen Hardy trotting the globe, we need another
:01:41. > :01:42.great choreopgraphic mind to fill her shoes, it's only
:01:43. > :01:48.Now normally whatever Lesley wants, Lesley gets but on this occasion
:01:49. > :01:55.After five fabulous weeks, it was the Tango
:01:56. > :01:58.Before we say our goodbyes, here's a look at Lesley
:01:59. > :02:45.Give it up for Leslie and Anton! The only one dance I have watched back
:02:46. > :02:51.was the Charleston. The joy of next week would have been better. I
:02:52. > :02:56.cannot watch myself. Because all I see the mistakes or I am fat or
:02:57. > :03:03.something. So the Charleston, I absolutely loved. That's the last
:03:04. > :03:07.dance, as well. It was such a dream of yours to do Strictly Come
:03:08. > :03:13.Dancing. How much have you loved it? What I loved was the training.
:03:14. > :03:16.Because we laughed a lot. I love learning all the dances. Every dance
:03:17. > :03:26.I would say, that's my new favourite dance! You're making me laugh! I
:03:27. > :03:29.loved all the dancing. It was lovely to learn to ballroom dance and he is
:03:30. > :03:36.a legend, a very good teacher. And we did laugh all the time. But we
:03:37. > :03:39.did some hard work, we really did, I whipped him into shape! I'm
:03:40. > :03:48.exhausted! I'm glad she is out, quite frankly! Are you ready to let
:03:49. > :03:52.go of him yet? It is too soon! He is a friend, it's not like he's going
:03:53. > :03:57.anywhere. It's an entertainment show, you go when you go, it is what
:03:58. > :04:03.it is, some are brilliant dancers, some can't dance for toffee, some
:04:04. > :04:11.can't lift the toffee... It is what it is. I loved the time! We have had
:04:12. > :04:15.a great time, I have lost a bit of weight, I firmed up, all that means
:04:16. > :04:19.is now I've got to keep going to dance class to keep the forays down.
:04:20. > :04:26.Are you available for private dance lessons! I have some time on my
:04:27. > :04:30.hands! I have loved every second of it, it wasn't asked of me but I'm
:04:31. > :04:38.going to tell you. She is right, we have laughed, we really have, it's
:04:39. > :04:41.been the most fun. I said it on Saturday night, the great thing
:04:42. > :04:45.about Leslie is she was really good at picking things up quickly so
:04:46. > :04:50.rather than spending a whole which ran the London number, we had the
:04:51. > :04:54.chance to pick it up quickly and then develop it. Because you would
:04:55. > :04:59.have so much input and then we would work on things and from my
:05:00. > :05:02.perspective, that was joyous. I think I was hired a lot the token
:05:03. > :05:06.old woman who probably couldn't do it and would be dragged around the
:05:07. > :05:13.floor, I have worked in this business for 50 years, I am very
:05:14. > :05:19.bit. I don't mean, she is fit! It means I am fit and supple. I have
:05:20. > :05:25.put energy than most people I know, I don't know where it comes from, I
:05:26. > :05:32.have been up five, filming Birds all day. So I have been in, proved to
:05:33. > :05:37.myself and other people, please don't expect me to be the big blog,
:05:38. > :05:41.that's not who or what I am. You haven't been that at all, you have
:05:42. > :05:48.inspired so many men and women of all ages to get up and give it a go
:05:49. > :05:53.and take up dancing. Three out of four the couples who have gone have
:05:54. > :05:59.gone on T. Often it is a rumble, this year it seems to be the tango,
:06:00. > :06:07.why is that? I wish they had told me last week! It is such a tricky one,
:06:08. > :06:13.the tango. I don't really know. It depends what else is being done. The
:06:14. > :06:19.tango is very difficult, it has to be sharp, it has got to have a
:06:20. > :06:24.staccato feel about it, it has got to be dramatic, all those elements,
:06:25. > :06:28.they are so different, it's a stand-alone dance, the others are
:06:29. > :06:34.swing dances, they move and glide across the floor. The tango is the
:06:35. > :06:39.polar opposite. If you can't do it very well, that's it, you only get
:06:40. > :06:43.one go, you can't develop it. If someone else has done something more
:06:44. > :06:51.spectacular... It's hard because it is in a hold position, you have to
:06:52. > :06:56.stay together, it has to be sharp, detached, it's got all these
:06:57. > :07:02.different elements... Passionate. If you show too much passion... You
:07:03. > :07:11.can't be detached, so it's difficult to be clinical about the dance. Shut
:07:12. > :07:15.up! And also to show the passion. It is the contrasting... It is
:07:16. > :07:22.difficult to get right. Yes, it's hard! We got the message! You have
:07:23. > :07:29.played so many fantastic characters. I loved the missing tooth. People
:07:30. > :07:32.thought, my God, she has lost a tooth!
:07:33. > :07:51.I love him, he is a Strictly legend! Merry Christmas to me! You are doing
:07:52. > :07:57.the Wilts! Look at me, I am tripping, I will be a sudden mass on
:07:58. > :08:07.the floor by the end. Sophisticated, elegant. I thought you'd danced that
:08:08. > :08:15.beautifully. It is nice to break out after the warts. I am unconcerned
:08:16. > :08:22.about me doing it than her doing it. You showed no sign of inhibition. I
:08:23. > :08:28.could watch it again. It may be weak.
:08:29. > :08:37.He got it wrong! I got it different! I never get it wrong!
:08:38. > :08:47.I love the role-play, I love all the quirky character you put in. I'm
:08:48. > :08:54.loving the Charleston and I can't wait to Charleston my way through
:08:55. > :08:59.the show. You bring such a cheeky, fun, naughty little girl to this.
:09:00. > :09:09.You will need to shock me each time, strong, vibrant, I loved it. She is
:09:10. > :09:11.a superstar, just outstanding. To me, the tango scene is different to
:09:12. > :09:18.the other ballroom dancers we have done. You look like you have been
:09:19. > :09:25.taser at! I have got a lot to work on, basically. You were hanging on
:09:26. > :09:35.to him for dear life! I don't think this is a dance for you. It's time
:09:36. > :09:43.to decide. I will save Daisy and Aljaz. Working with him has been an
:09:44. > :09:44.absolute joy. It's been an lovely, lovely journey and it's come to the
:09:45. > :09:58.end and that's fine. You can open your eyes now! You have
:09:59. > :10:01.lit up our screens every week, we are really going to miss you, what
:10:02. > :10:07.are you going to miss most about this experience? Training with
:10:08. > :10:14.Anton. Who would you like to win? Couldn't call it. I thought you were
:10:15. > :10:18.going to say, couldn't care! There are a lot of very talented people.
:10:19. > :10:22.It's not just about being a brilliant dancer, it's about a
:10:23. > :10:27.journey and Astori, Ore would be wonderful because his heart and soul
:10:28. > :10:32.is in it and every week... They are wonderful family, we are all very
:10:33. > :10:33.close and it's been a great time. You are adorable, we have loved
:10:34. > :10:38.having you. Lesley and Anton! Now sometimes two and a half hours
:10:39. > :10:41.of pure unadulterated ballroom joy So sit back and soak up all this
:10:42. > :10:57.behind the scenes action. Morning! Let's do this! I am here,
:10:58. > :11:19.ready to do it! Hi, we are hanging and chilling! I
:11:20. > :11:23.am better static than moving, the great thing about the lift is you
:11:24. > :11:35.can get into position, the bit enjoy the most. We love you, Rob!
:11:36. > :11:43.It's a really beautiful song. And really amazing routine, I want to do
:11:44. > :11:46.it as good as I possibly can so fingers crossed. Do you reckon? Yes,
:11:47. > :12:03.fingers crossed! Wardrobe, they are very talented.
:12:04. > :12:12.Sometimes you just can't see the obvious additions to an outfit.
:12:13. > :12:20.There is a lot of nerves about the place today, a little bit of a
:12:21. > :12:25.change in the air, Ore got some tens last weeks of the gauntlet has been
:12:26. > :12:30.thrown down. The nerves are settling in, it's getting harder rather than
:12:31. > :12:32.easier. I am not thinking about comparing myself to the others
:12:33. > :12:38.because they are also much better than me! I am hopefully gone to
:12:39. > :12:45.perform as well as I can, I don't want to go yet.
:12:46. > :12:58.Make up! I am really excited. I had my excitement means I don't really
:12:59. > :13:02.well. That's the plan! I am bursting with excitement, don't you know me?
:13:03. > :13:12.I am terrified. Look who I have got. Now, if there's one thing famous
:13:13. > :13:19.people are good at it's And finally, Tim Vine had a message
:13:20. > :13:58.for one of our Strictly stars: Sending our love to Laura
:13:59. > :14:01.and looking forward to seeing her and Giovanni back on the Strictly
:14:02. > :14:06.dance floor soon. Now, did we mention that
:14:07. > :14:08.Karen Hardy is on the other Well, we've found a replacement
:14:09. > :14:12.who is out of this world. She's one of Strictly's original
:14:13. > :14:14.pros, lifting the Glitterball Trophy with Tom Chambers in 2008
:14:15. > :14:17.and cementing her place If you haven't quite guessed
:14:18. > :14:48.who it is, here's a very big clue! I thought it was fabulous. I am
:14:49. > :14:57.knocked out, it was brilliant. It was unbelievable. All I can say is
:14:58. > :14:59.wow! Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of Strictly Come Dancing
:15:00. > :15:03.2008, Tom and Camilla! So many great memories
:15:04. > :15:25.there, not least lifting Still to date that was the best show
:15:26. > :15:31.dance over. It must bring back many fond memories? So many. I felt quite
:15:32. > :15:37.emotional watching that. What have you been up to since we last saw
:15:38. > :15:42.you? I have moved to Los Angeles where I run a life coaching,
:15:43. > :15:45.hypnosis and meditation business. I have just finished writing my second
:15:46. > :15:51.book which will be out next year. And I have done a few shows with Ian
:15:52. > :15:59.Waite. He never stops talking about you! He is obsessed with me! We are
:16:00. > :16:04.going to talk about our couples. The standard is so good this year.
:16:05. > :16:08.Starting with Daisy and Aljaz with their charleston. They found
:16:09. > :16:12.themselves in the bottom two for the first time. Craig said mistakes
:16:13. > :16:18.could be amplified with white gloves and white shoes, what do you think?
:16:19. > :16:22.I agree with him. I also found it was so dark with the costume it did
:16:23. > :16:28.not do her any favours. I love the moves that I was not drawn to it. It
:16:29. > :16:34.was like a spark was missing. I would rather see something more
:16:35. > :16:42.sassy. Some or sparkles? She blended in. Did you spot any mistakes? I did
:16:43. > :16:46.not. Craig said you needed to be contained and obviously she is very
:16:47. > :16:51.tall. You are tall dance. Why is it difficult when you are taller? I
:16:52. > :16:56.totally connect with that. For many years I felt it was all arms and
:16:57. > :17:00.legs and it does take more to get control when you have a lot of arms.
:17:01. > :17:05.I'm with her on that. But I think she did a good job. I don't think
:17:06. > :17:09.there was anything wrong with the moves. And she survived the
:17:10. > :17:15.dance-off. Danny and Oti with the rumba. He was the first male
:17:16. > :17:21.celebrity to do it. But Len said it was wrong to the point when it went
:17:22. > :17:25.a bit staccato. In rumba often you would have a strong move and then
:17:26. > :17:30.you would have a softness after so strong and soft. But it kind of went
:17:31. > :17:34.from strong to strong and that could come across a bit staccato and I
:17:35. > :17:40.think maybe Oti did that to not make it boring and I think it worked
:17:41. > :17:51.really well. So you get that drama? It was fantastic. Look at the
:17:52. > :17:55.sliding door here. Yes, Len so excited because Oti put in one of
:17:56. > :18:01.his favourite moves. What is a sliding door? It is my favourite
:18:02. > :18:06.move. Shall we do it together? If you step to the side. And then you
:18:07. > :18:22.go this way. Do I look like a man? That is a
:18:23. > :18:29.sliding door. Not just a film with Gwyneth Paltrow with long hair and
:18:30. > :18:33.then shot her. It was amazing. Let's move on to Greg and Natalie who
:18:34. > :18:37.unfortunately got their lowest score for the cha-cha-cha. Darcey said it
:18:38. > :18:43.was not his dance. That happens, doesn't it? I agree. For years I
:18:44. > :18:48.thought the samba and I would not become friends and then we did. I
:18:49. > :18:52.have loved Greg's journey so far. I am going to use the word journey. I
:18:53. > :19:03.hope he does not dwell on this. Move on, it happens. Then it did say
:19:04. > :19:08.there was a horrendous blunder at the beginning, did you spot it? I
:19:09. > :19:13.think he gets on the wrong foot and he was trying to catch up and he
:19:14. > :19:19.gets there to early before Natalie. But she recovered really well. He
:19:20. > :19:23.was so concentrated on the steps. I think he said the steps would not
:19:24. > :19:31.come and then if you have to think about them too much, it happens. It
:19:32. > :19:36.happens. And then Ore and Joanne and their waltz. Last week's jive was
:19:37. > :19:43.always going to be hard to top. How impressed are you with this boy? I
:19:44. > :19:48.am very impressed. He did a standing spin which was phenomenal. But
:19:49. > :19:52.moving forward, he has amazing leg and foot action, but I don't want to
:19:53. > :19:56.see that in the shoulders. There was a couple of times when I was seeing
:19:57. > :20:00.that in the top line and this is supposed to be completely calm and
:20:01. > :20:11.use while the legs working really hard. He needs to keep that still.
:20:12. > :20:16.Won also said -- Len also said that doing nothing is the hardest thing
:20:17. > :20:22.will stop how important are the pauses in a waltz? It is the
:20:23. > :20:25.quality. If you go somewhere and you fall out with the head action
:20:26. > :20:32.quickly you think they are off-balance but if you take time to
:20:33. > :20:39.move the head and then go in it is good. He has the ability to do that.
:20:40. > :20:41.Will you come back and talk to us more tomorrow? Yes please! Camilla
:20:42. > :20:44.Dallerup! Now, our pros might be fantastic
:20:45. > :20:47.dancers but they're terrible liars. Which is great news
:20:48. > :21:14.for us because it's time Which pro wears the most fake tan? I
:21:15. > :21:21.reckon some people would say me. Kevin. Kevin wears a lot of fake
:21:22. > :21:27.tan. Definitely has to be my husband Kevin. My sheets at home are ruined.
:21:28. > :21:33.But I am pipped to the post by Natalie Lowe. Natalie. Definitely
:21:34. > :21:40.Natalie Lowe. Natalie Lowe wears more fake tan than Essex. She is
:21:41. > :21:49.addicted. The problem is getting close, it leaves a Spain. It has to
:21:50. > :21:59.be me! Who is the vain list pro? Guess and Lee AJ. AJ. AJ. AJ. Loves
:22:00. > :22:04.checking his face out because he is so cute. He cannot walk past a
:22:05. > :22:10.mirror without checking himself out. He's always in front of the mirror
:22:11. > :22:16.doing his hair and taking a selfie. Mr selfie in the booth of truth
:22:17. > :22:23.right now. AJ, can you stop looking in front the mirror? Any reflective
:22:24. > :22:29.surface, I have noticed AJ likes looking. I do take a lot of selfie
:22:30. > :22:33.is so some of them could call me Mr selfie!
:22:34. > :22:35.Thank you to our lovely pros. Now, our next couple hitched a lift
:22:36. > :22:38.to the Strictly Ballroom And you could say they
:22:39. > :22:53.experienced a slight hitch You always take us places I would
:22:54. > :23:00.never expect. Plodding, pedestrian, absolutely no style whatsoever. It
:23:01. > :23:05.was just a rotten shame that your big spectacular moment went a bit
:23:06. > :23:14.pear shaped. But well done! I liked watching you. We all love watching
:23:15. > :23:19.them. Ed and Katya! First off, I must say, you were an absolute
:23:20. > :23:24.vision out on the floor. Sun-kissed Gold, your first spray tan,
:23:25. > :23:32.congratulations, how was that experience? It was cold and tingly
:23:33. > :23:39.but I only went for the half. Which half? Top half. Your legs are
:23:40. > :23:43.completely white? Jeremy Vine said go completely starkers and go the
:23:44. > :23:48.whole deal. I said what costume will you ever wear that you would need a
:23:49. > :23:54.full tan. I decided to go for the top half but I think I have ducked
:23:55. > :23:59.it. Maybe I need a full Jeremy. Do you get half price if you only get
:24:00. > :24:03.half done? You did look great on the dance floor. How much did you enjoy
:24:04. > :24:09.the American smooth, apart from the lift, which we will discuss in a
:24:10. > :24:14.moment. The music was fabulous. The choreography from Katya was related
:24:15. > :24:18.as always. And as Len said, there was some good stuff. We had a
:24:19. > :24:22.leather step and a promenade and they weave. We were trying to pack
:24:23. > :24:28.it in. Unfortunately, people will remember it for the lift. You were
:24:29. > :24:32.saying that the Saturday was about showing the judges he can improve
:24:33. > :24:37.his technique, he can learn the steps and the points were better
:24:38. > :24:47.than the paso doble, so you can take positives from it? Absolutely. It
:24:48. > :24:56.was really nice to hear from Len... My voice is back. The foxtrot steps
:24:57. > :25:01.were really nice. Apart from that, with the ten or 15 seconds with the
:25:02. > :25:06.horror of the left, everything else was nice. You said you loved the
:25:07. > :25:11.lift! Darcey said you were so good she wants you to come back next
:25:12. > :25:16.year. What an honour. Does it mean leave now and come back next year?
:25:17. > :25:23.Stay for the whole run. Imagine how good you will be for the dances. I
:25:24. > :25:27.will be ten stone. What about the lift? Katya, did your life flash in
:25:28. > :25:34.front of your eyes? Absolutely not. It might looked like it but I knew
:25:35. > :25:42.he would never drop me. It is quite secure. So actually not. I was not
:25:43. > :25:47.scared I was going to full because it happened in training. We would
:25:48. > :25:51.not have put it in if I thought he couldn't do it. And we know you can
:25:52. > :26:02.do it because you pulled it off in rehearsals. This was you on Friday.
:26:03. > :26:09.Here it goes and it is perfect. Look how strongly you are! And a perfect
:26:10. > :26:16.dismount. We proved it right after. What went wrong technically? We have
:26:17. > :26:23.watched the video and we don't know. It never happened in that particular
:26:24. > :26:29.way. Sometimes it takes time to get the foot in. I have a huge bruise in
:26:30. > :26:35.rehearsals. But this time Katya flew. She went round and pivots.
:26:36. > :26:38.People on TV were worried about dropping but we were worried about
:26:39. > :26:43.how to come round and get onto the right step for the next bit of the
:26:44. > :26:48.foxtrot. Actually, we got into it quite well. It was a pity that Iraq
:26:49. > :26:52.and the key thing is, we could have no lifts, we could play it safe and
:26:53. > :26:57.that would be boring. It is much better for us to go for it, do our
:26:58. > :27:11.best and try and push the boundaries. It was like the pot stir
:27:12. > :27:14.in the samba. We went for it and it worked. You have got to have a go.
:27:15. > :27:16.We have decided we are the risk-takers. And I loved it! Now,
:27:17. > :27:24.the cha-cha-cha. I have seen some of it and it looks very good indeed.
:27:25. > :27:29.Nice hand position. It is Halloween, you are going to be a mad scientist.
:27:30. > :27:39.Any frightening choreography to look out for? There are no lifts. It is
:27:40. > :27:44.all on the floor. We always have the moments that Ed brings his own style
