:00:57. > :01:04.Musicals Week produced one show stopper after another and if it's
:01:05. > :01:09.an encore you're after you've come to the right place.
:01:10. > :01:12.Sadly, one couple had to bow out early but they'll be getting
:01:13. > :01:14.a glowing review from us, it's Judge Rinder and Oksana!
:01:15. > :01:22.Also joining us tonight, she's got the best top
:01:23. > :01:27.line in the business, it's Darcey Bussell!
:01:28. > :01:34.Now, it was a quarter final musical extravaganza at the weekend
:01:35. > :01:37.and our It Takes Two elves slipped in through the stage door
:01:38. > :02:09.Curtains up, it is Musicals Week. It is the quarterfinals and everyone is
:02:10. > :02:20.bringing their best. I am no good at that thigh slapping, acting musical
:02:21. > :02:25.stuff. Week 11, calamity Jane. The music, the costume, everything goes
:02:26. > :02:33.up a notch. It is genuinely magic. I am not cool. That's why you have the
:02:34. > :02:41.jackets, as soon as he put it on, you are cool. It has to be so
:02:42. > :02:50.precise. I did fall in practice. It was only a little fall. Musicals
:02:51. > :02:55.week is hard for the costumes department. We are all a bit
:02:56. > :03:02.frantic. I have been turned into a Green, of wicked witch. How long did
:03:03. > :03:08.that take you? About 40 minutes, 20 minutes with just my hands. When I
:03:09. > :03:18.signed up for Strictly come I thought I would look pretty. Now I
:03:19. > :03:31.am a pretty lion. They are letting him sing. This is a good thing,
:03:32. > :03:40.right? I am so excited. I have got to make some words come out. Mary
:03:41. > :03:48.Poppins. Beauty and the beast. Who is the beast? I am not sure how many
:03:49. > :03:59.people knew Anton could sing. They will all be very shocked. Five
:04:00. > :04:12.minutes until we go live. Five minutes until we go live. This is my
:04:13. > :04:27.job. You are in my favourite shirts. Seven! Bros. What a disappointment.
:04:28. > :04:40.It is showtime, so let's welcome our Strictly stars.
:04:41. > :04:45.After 11 weeks of pure unadulterated joy,
:04:46. > :04:48.Before we close this case let's have a quick
:04:49. > :05:20.reminder of Judge Rinder and Oksana's last dance.
:05:21. > :05:44.Rob just said, don't make me cry. But I think I have gone already. Let
:05:45. > :05:57.it out. Don't hold it in. What a night. You saucy mover. It was
:05:58. > :06:01.brilliant. I love it your Samba. We loved it, I thought it is going to
:06:02. > :06:06.be a challenging week, so I thought let's have fun. We really did. It
:06:07. > :06:13.was the first week I wasn't nervous at all. Somebody I loved in my life
:06:14. > :06:19.who had passed away and earlier in the day I got a text message saying
:06:20. > :06:23.this was her favourite song. Something that happened, the Alchemy
:06:24. > :06:28.changed and the moment the music came on, I just had the most fun I
:06:29. > :06:33.possibly could. The energy of the audience, the nice thing about the
:06:34. > :06:38.programme, you feel it here, you feel if they do, every person in the
:06:39. > :06:43.show. The runners that run after you all day, casting, to everybody. The
:06:44. > :06:48.love and passion permeate into the show. People don't sit there and
:06:49. > :06:52.want you to do badly. They are willing you to do well. That is what
:06:53. > :06:58.it felt like and it was the most fun. Your friend was with you in
:06:59. > :07:04.spirit. She would have been very proud. Oksana, bless you. I will try
:07:05. > :07:10.to talk to you in a cruel fashion. It is your favourite dance, the
:07:11. > :07:19.Samba? It was. And since we had to go, it was a great dance to go out
:07:20. > :07:25.on. It was very good. You looked beautiful, even beautiful crying.
:07:26. > :07:30.Did you feel it might be coming, bottom two last week. When it is
:07:31. > :07:34.down to only five, it is tough. Sure, there is a strong possibility
:07:35. > :07:46.we would end up in the dance off. There was a good chance of it. Look
:07:47. > :07:52.at the level, it was the strongest. Something you can feel proud of,
:07:53. > :07:55.looking at where you have come from? The first week, she looked at me and
:07:56. > :08:02.the first day going, goodness me, what on earth are we going to do. I
:08:03. > :08:06.am a big fan of the show, a big fan of this programme and I used to
:08:07. > :08:11.listen to people talking about their journey and think, goodness. But
:08:12. > :08:15.genuinely, that is what we have been through. I said it every week and I
:08:16. > :08:24.meant it from the bottom of my heart. She has taught me. She has
:08:25. > :08:29.taught me to love dancing and held my hand the whole time. When
:08:30. > :08:33.somebody teaches you to love something, you never forget that. It
:08:34. > :08:39.is such a generous thing to do. I have loved every minute of it. I am
:08:40. > :08:46.sure people have responded to it. They really have a lot of love in
:08:47. > :08:50.the room for you tonight. I can see people with tears in their eyes. I
:08:51. > :08:54.know how much you love Darcey Bussell and she is on later tonight.
:08:55. > :09:00.She did say on that Saturday, you are such an individual and she loves
:09:01. > :09:06.what you do. Everybody got such joy from watching you perform each week.
:09:07. > :09:09.I think if you put 100% into anything, do it with authenticity
:09:10. > :09:16.and enthusiasm, that really comes through. One of the things I don't
:09:17. > :09:21.think people know, it has been such a challenge for Oksana. It has been
:09:22. > :09:24.a struggle for her to find time. You tried to teach something you know
:09:25. > :09:30.how to do in five minutes and you will spend a week with somebody. I
:09:31. > :09:34.keep making the same mistake. Imagine having that degree of
:09:35. > :09:39.patience, generosity of spirit, laughter and want to share that? I
:09:40. > :09:46.am working full time most of the time, we sometimes start at 7am and
:09:47. > :09:49.finish at nine p.m.. So often she isn't able to start teaching until
:09:50. > :09:57.9:30pm until sometimes 12 o'clock at night. By which point you have spent
:09:58. > :10:07.the best of your energy. He keeps it for dancing. We have loved watching
:10:08. > :10:13.you. I said it on Saturday night, I will say it again, I watch this show
:10:14. > :10:19.and I am a fan of it. You have no idea as to what goes into it, and
:10:20. > :10:21.you can feel the passion. It is such a joy. Don't start me off!
:10:22. > :10:22.Well, you've certainly done your community service
:10:23. > :10:25.because the nation was well and truly entertained for 11 weeks.
:10:26. > :10:30.Let's take a look at your Strictly Story.
:10:31. > :10:39.Your partner is... Oksana she is going to be a taskmaster, which I am
:10:40. > :10:49.thrilled by. Robert needs to be careful what he wishes for. Oksana,
:10:50. > :10:58.gosh. You are late. You need a time-out right now. Facial
:10:59. > :11:05.expressions darling you really need to look at that. That was the while
:11:06. > :11:09.the surprise I think I ever had. This week is the American Smooth.
:11:10. > :11:18.Oksana will make sure I get the frame right. This is crazy, who
:11:19. > :11:23.stands like this. It is like that Marge to a statue. Look at your
:11:24. > :11:38.face, it still annoying. I love that place. Always funny and great to
:11:39. > :11:44.watch. I am completely falling in love with dancing. It is quite
:11:45. > :11:49.surprising. Your facial expressions are on the top, darling and
:11:50. > :11:58.improving. There is a delicious dancer hidden underneath all that.
:11:59. > :12:05.Full of energy and enthusiasm. That was as tight as a beautiful boy's
:12:06. > :12:11.cheek. Just before I am about to dance, I think to myself, Robert, do
:12:12. > :12:19.try and not look like a Laurent. You have come out again as strong,
:12:20. > :12:26.powerful and meaningful. -- Laurent. I think I got the best partner in
:12:27. > :12:30.the whole competition. I struggle to find the adjectives to describe
:12:31. > :12:36.Oksana. My God, I am welling up. Every time we dance together, I am
:12:37. > :12:43.just happy about the work. She is extraordinary. This week is a F, I
:12:44. > :12:52.decided to do Strictly for this dance. It is the dance I did with my
:12:53. > :13:02.grandma years ago. You should be proud. Your best dance. It is an
:13:03. > :13:09.nine. Getting an nine from Len, meant the world. We are a great
:13:10. > :13:18.team. Judge Rinder really can shake it. It is Blackpool, you have got to
:13:19. > :13:23.pull it out of the bag. You were spicier and hotter than a scotch
:13:24. > :13:29.bonnet. What a way to end a fantastic night. This is the Rumba,
:13:30. > :13:39.I was apprehensive about it. The technique has to be quite right.
:13:40. > :13:46.Judge Rinder has an interesting way he holds his hands. It is natural to
:13:47. > :13:51.him. I am going to tape them like this. It looks a bit awkward. You
:13:52. > :13:57.didn't look as steady on your feet, it wasn't your best dance. In the
:13:58. > :14:02.dance off is Judge Rinder and Oksana. We brush ourselves off and
:14:03. > :14:07.we are ready to do the samba this week. Strictly is like nothing I can
:14:08. > :14:13.describe. It is euphoria with glittery jazz hands.
:14:14. > :14:22.A little bit stilted. I've got to say, fantastic energy. Your hip
:14:23. > :14:35.action, darling. Your bottom was bouncing for Brazil. Judges, it's
:14:36. > :14:38.time to decide. I would like to save Ore and Joanne. Ore and Joanne.
:14:39. > :14:41.Thank you so much. I had an incredible time and I'm especially
:14:42. > :14:48.grateful for making this partnership happen.
:14:49. > :14:59.It's so beautiful. 11 amazing dancers. Something lovely Rob said
:15:00. > :15:03.every week, always talked about you being a great teacher, what is the
:15:04. > :15:11.key to being the teacher in this experience, Oxon? First, he taught
:15:12. > :15:18.me how to play piano. You're joking, ring in the organ, give us a tune! I
:15:19. > :15:21.wanted to learn how difficult it was to teach something to somebody that
:15:22. > :15:26.you know how to do and it was tough, I lasted half an hour. He wanted me
:15:27. > :15:31.to understand what it felt like to learn something that you don't know
:15:32. > :15:39.how to do. No, but so much. I guess I can say, doesn't matter how late
:15:40. > :15:43.it is, how tired he is, how frustrated both of us are, the
:15:44. > :15:48.respect and complete dedication to being at the moment and taking every
:15:49. > :15:55.word that I say, he did it. Well done, you. Goodness me. When you
:15:56. > :16:00.look back at all those dances, you were so good at so many of them,
:16:01. > :16:04.foxtrot, could you pick out a standout moment? Two, the jive I
:16:05. > :16:14.think was our game changed, I learned how to count. And that was
:16:15. > :16:20.the week I really understood, everything clicked into place, like
:16:21. > :16:26.learning a language. Exactly so. And I loved the foxtrot of course. What
:16:27. > :16:30.was not on there so much was the quickstep. The best thing every week
:16:31. > :16:35.was when you get to the end of the dance and it has gone well. I
:16:36. > :16:41.described it as euphoria but it is this sort of joy, it renders me and
:16:42. > :16:50.articulate. It could power the world. It was just heaven. And I'm a
:16:51. > :16:55.very stiff upper lip kind of guy. If you'd told me two years ago that I'd
:16:56. > :17:00.get weepy over a dance competition, I'd have said, don't be such a mini,
:17:01. > :17:05.Robert. But I've been completely invested in it. Because when you are
:17:06. > :17:10.with somebody like that, what more can you do? You have been such a
:17:11. > :17:15.joy, the two of you, one of my favourite partnerships. Well done,
:17:16. > :17:28.thank you so, so much, Judge Rinder and Oksana. Beautiful. Like a wise
:17:29. > :17:30.man once said. Don't ask me which one.
:17:31. > :17:32.Like a wise man once said, don't ask me who -
:17:33. > :17:34.failure doesn't come from falling down.
:17:35. > :17:35.Failure comes from not getting back up.
:17:36. > :17:38.And with that I give you Melvin and Janette's latest
:17:39. > :17:47.Hello and welcome to the chart show. Stay tuned as we count down some of
:17:48. > :17:51.our favourite moments. And what are we counting down today, Melvin? We
:17:52. > :17:58.are counting down our top five Strictly recoveries. These are the
:17:59. > :18:00.pros and celebs that came close to crashing out of the competition
:18:01. > :18:08.literally but they pulled it back and some even collided. Kicking
:18:09. > :18:13.things off, Caroline Flack and passion with their American Smooth
:18:14. > :18:17.which was so smooth it was almost slippy. Talk about styling it out.
:18:18. > :18:24.You drifted across the floor like smoke through the keyhole. You
:18:25. > :18:29.almost fell over, darling, that was a little unexpected. Weeks later she
:18:30. > :18:37.is scored three perfect 40s in the final and was the series 12
:18:38. > :18:42.champion. Slip, what's left? Taking number four, Lisa Riley and Robin
:18:43. > :18:46.Windsor. Their foxtrot went down brilliantly with the judges, you
:18:47. > :19:01.would have thought they were home and dry. That was your best dance.
:19:02. > :19:05.But wait. It wasn't even a celeb that had to recover. Proof that a
:19:06. > :19:09.little stumble doesn't stop you from going all the way to be the top,
:19:10. > :19:15.Lisa Riley was semifinalist. Who's laughing now. Mark Ramprakash in
:19:16. > :19:20.series four made series history. Dancing and energetic routine, their
:19:21. > :19:26.salsa seemed to be going well. Until. The microphones became
:19:27. > :19:34.entangled with the costumes and Karen had to stop the dance,
:19:35. > :19:40.desperately begging Bruce to let them have another go. Is it all
:19:41. > :19:46.right for to have another go? They were allowed to start again. Second
:19:47. > :19:53.time definitely lucky. You turned out down a triumph. Hot enough to
:19:54. > :19:56.cause global warming. Well done. They scored four nines and later
:19:57. > :20:03.went on to become Strictly champions. Just missing out on top
:20:04. > :20:07.spot, Zoe Ball and Ian White who made it all the way to the final in
:20:08. > :20:14.series three, and performed a flamenco Showdance inspired by West
:20:15. > :20:18.side story. They started so well but one of the rival pro dancers must
:20:19. > :20:24.have left a banana skin outcome this happened. Even with a slide across
:20:25. > :20:28.the floor, their dance impressed the judges. I would have expected
:20:29. > :20:38.nothing less. Taking the number one spot, the biggest of all recoveries.
:20:39. > :20:41.In the opening show of series eight Kara took a mighty fall in the
:20:42. > :20:51.beginning of her cha-cha-cha routine. She just kept on dancing.
:20:52. > :20:59.Even with the fall they walked away with an impressive score. That's not
:21:00. > :21:07.bad for the first dance. I got 36 for my first dance. Melvin, I was
:21:08. > :21:13.there, remember. Oh yeah. Back to Cara. Meow, Catwoman, come and take
:21:14. > :21:18.me. Even with the mistake, still the best dance of the night. Cara picked
:21:19. > :21:23.herself up, dusted herself down and went on to be crowned series eight
:21:24. > :21:31.champion. Thanks so much for joining us for the cha-cha-cha Chart show.
:21:32. > :21:34.And we'll see you next time. I think I'm getting much better value at
:21:35. > :21:37.this thing. I'm going to take your job soon.
:21:38. > :21:43.I'm still laughing at Ian falling over.
:21:44. > :21:46.Now, my final guest this evening is often described
:21:47. > :21:57.It's the positively floral, Miss Darcey Bussell!
:21:58. > :22:03.When you are here I automatically sit up straight.
:22:04. > :22:06.Our couples pulled out all the stops, for Musicals Week -
:22:07. > :22:16.My goodness, they did rise to the level. Big productions, props. The
:22:17. > :22:21.lighting, music and everything came together. It was quite emotional
:22:22. > :22:25.actually. I found it emotional and did not want it to end. Like West
:22:26. > :22:37.side story, I was in absolute pieces. They all care so much at
:22:38. > :22:41.this point, hard not to get nervous. You took part in the big opening,
:22:42. > :22:46.and it was very complicated. How much time did you get? I didn't do
:22:47. > :22:54.much, I did a little spin. Sat in a gondola. As you do. No, it was a lot
:22:55. > :22:58.of fun but I had more fun watching everybody else. We get two seconds
:22:59. > :23:04.where we were slotted in because we are often doing other feet is for
:23:05. > :23:07.the next show coming up and stuff. So it was a chaotic Saturday but
:23:08. > :23:12.very exciting, you could feel the buzz. The nervous, very much so.
:23:13. > :23:14.We lost your biggest fan, Judge Rinder, last night.
:23:15. > :23:24.So emotional, there. I think, to watch him, he loved every minute.
:23:25. > :23:31.And you could see it oozing out of his skin. His smile and his mouth as
:23:32. > :23:36.well. I think if anybody he could have done more, he would have wanted
:23:37. > :23:41.to do every hour of the day and sadly he didn't have that
:23:42. > :23:45.opportunity. I spoke to him a little bit for and he said there were so
:23:46. > :23:49.many dances he still wanted to do, and it is so tough. I'm sure Oksana
:23:50. > :23:57.will teach him on the site, they have a beautiful friendship. The
:23:58. > :24:02.semifinalists, are they the four you were expecting? Yes, very happy.
:24:03. > :24:07.It's going to be really hard this weekend, those. It's going to be
:24:08. > :24:09.tough. Because they are all excellent, really excellent. All for
:24:10. > :24:18.different reasons, different strengths. Yeah, really good mix as
:24:19. > :24:22.well. Interesting you say that. We know you are a fan of a topline.
:24:23. > :24:24.I'm going to list each of our couples and I want
:24:25. > :24:27.you to give us your top line on each of them.
:24:28. > :24:38.Well, he has charisma, he is like the 007 of Strictly, I think is
:24:39. > :24:42.quite understated but very surprising always. Incredibly
:24:43. > :24:45.focused and I think what's brilliant is he is a quick learner and you can
:24:46. > :24:55.still tell. She's utterly fearless. Which is so
:24:56. > :24:57.rare to see. I think that her focus and training from gymnastics,
:24:58. > :25:01.extraordinary to watch. She is supple and strong. But so precise.
:25:02. > :25:12.She loves the technique. Musicality. Lyrical. But she also
:25:13. > :25:16.has this great jazz style that's really fab. Her character comes out
:25:17. > :25:22.and she enjoys what she's doing. It depends on her confidence and how
:25:23. > :25:23.she believes in the role. But 20 does it just flourishes.
:25:24. > :25:35.There's not really any style that he can't do. He is so unusual. There's
:25:36. > :25:39.usually one that always difficult for a celebrity, but he doesn't seem
:25:40. > :25:44.to have that. The Latin really suits him. He has an unbelievable focus
:25:45. > :25:50.and determination as soon as he's that stage. His eyes don't waver.
:25:51. > :25:55.You know sometimes when they noticed think he doesn't waver. In the
:25:56. > :26:00.studio his focus is extraordinary. Their contact and how they relate
:26:01. > :26:05.to, sometimes it's kind of too much detail. I'd like it to be simpler.
:26:06. > :26:09.But really quite impressive. All for couples and credible. So many of our
:26:10. > :26:13.wonderful viewers have written in questions for you
:26:14. > :26:15.Craig would like to know: is there a dance you regret
:26:16. > :26:22.well, yes. I think it's always hard at the very beginning when you see
:26:23. > :26:31.such talent and somebody doing such a great job. If you give them high
:26:32. > :26:34.marks, where do you go from there? There's not 15. Definitely with
:26:35. > :26:39.Danny, week four in his quickstep. Was that when he was the conductor?
:26:40. > :26:45.I absolutely loved it. It was brilliant. He just looked the part
:26:46. > :26:49.and fell into it so naturally. And it was a shame we didn't give him
:26:50. > :26:50.ten. If he gets to the final, maybe we'll see it again.
:26:51. > :26:53.Jess wants to know, which celebrities you'd like to see
:26:54. > :27:02.Anyone you'd like to see step up and give it a go? After having Ed Balls
