:00:50. > :01:02.From London, this is Strictly - It Takes Two. Please welcome your host,
:01:03. > :01:07.Zoe Ball! Hello and welcome to It Takes Two. We have so much to pack
:01:08. > :01:11.in, we might need to undo our top button halfway through the show.
:01:12. > :01:17.Let's see who is squeezed into the green room tonight. There is always
:01:18. > :01:24.time for a choreography lesson. It's the one and only Karen, looking
:01:25. > :01:29.gorgeous as ever. And the Strictly finalists Danny and Oti! And they've
:01:30. > :01:33.been there, done that, former champions Darren Gough, Jill
:01:34. > :01:40.Halfpenny and Tom Chambers! Look at those three! It is like a Strictly
:01:41. > :01:43.Hall of Fame! My first guests tonight, on Saturday, they served up
:01:44. > :01:49.two courses of delicious dance from a Cuban salsa to lonely American
:01:50. > :01:50.smooth. And a place in the final was the icing on the cake, it's Danny
:01:51. > :02:05.and Oti! Such intricate, fabulous lifts. It
:02:06. > :02:13.lacked for me, figure of eight rotation in the hip. It was like a
:02:14. > :02:17.Cuban evening, hot and steamy. I was totally and completely swept away.
:02:18. > :02:34.It really was exquisite storytelling. That was right up my
:02:35. > :02:39.street, I loved it! Danny and Oti! I love it but even Danny screamed
:02:40. > :02:45.seeing that, as Oti took her life in her hands. Where do we even begin?
:02:46. > :02:48.My goodness, two dances, a place in the final at stake. What was the
:02:49. > :02:55.atmosphere like on Saturday, how were the nerves? Well, I was really,
:02:56. > :02:59.really nervous, but it was so disconcertingly calm in the studio.
:03:00. > :03:05.There was four of us walking around, everything was so organised, and it
:03:06. > :03:08.was just calm, which was terrifying. I was completely ready did before
:03:09. > :03:16.the show, and that was no fun. Everything was quiet. It was so
:03:17. > :03:21.calm. It's the seriousness, the hugeness of the event. I love it!
:03:22. > :03:26.And starting with yourself, it was just utterly brilliant, frankly. And
:03:27. > :03:31.then Darcey said, it was not wild enough. She said, were you holding
:03:32. > :03:36.back, I'm assuming, probably not? I definitely was not holding back, but
:03:37. > :03:40.I was definitely holding onto all the choreography in my head. We had
:03:41. > :03:45.half a week, and I'm used to having every hour of the week on one dance.
:03:46. > :03:49.And we have half of that. And it was not totally 100% in my body, so I
:03:50. > :03:54.was clinging on to every step praying it did not go wrong. That
:03:55. > :03:58.was actually, mostly, the first time we got it all completely right from
:03:59. > :04:02.the beginning to end. At the end I was so surprised, I was like, what
:04:03. > :04:07.was that, where has this guy been the whole week?! There's so many
:04:08. > :04:13.steps in it, I can't explain. I watched it back, and I thought, are
:04:14. > :04:17.we still going?! And there's more! And normally, there is a huge sense
:04:18. > :04:21.of relief, you finish your dance, you go and watch everybody else. But
:04:22. > :04:26.this time you had to go on to the American smooth as an how was the
:04:27. > :04:32.focus, to go from one to the other? It was really odd. That's the first
:04:33. > :04:36.time we have had to do anything like that. But it was such a relief that
:04:37. > :04:40.the first one went well. If it hadn't, you knew so much will be
:04:41. > :04:45.riding on the second one. But thankfully we did it the right way
:04:46. > :04:48.around. We got the salsa out of the way which was really busy in my
:04:49. > :04:54.head, and then we could relax. Because the American smooth needed
:04:55. > :04:58.to be calm, cool and collected. It was a bit of a rush backstage but it
:04:59. > :05:04.was constant, there wasn't any time, which was quite nice. And not many
:05:05. > :05:08.people look back handsome in trousers, dancing in a jumper! You
:05:09. > :05:16.looked absolutely amazing, and it was stunning. Yes, thank you very
:05:17. > :05:21.much! It really was something else. Darcey was talking about that lift
:05:22. > :05:26.being slightly out of context. Oti, what did you make of that? Well, I
:05:27. > :05:30.understand what she was trying to say - maybe it was not as smooth as
:05:31. > :05:33.it could have been, but it was amazing, and it was different.
:05:34. > :05:38.That's what we always try to do, something completely different every
:05:39. > :05:43.week, just to bring a little bit of roughness into it! When you're doing
:05:44. > :05:47.those, it's just brilliant! We have slowed it down for everybody to see
:05:48. > :05:55.because it is so fast. Here's that amazing moment when you catch Oti as
:05:56. > :05:59.she leaps down! I mean...! The trust, to do that! It's not
:06:00. > :06:07.something you can practice loads come either, Oti? No, it was so
:06:08. > :06:13.funny, because I always try to do simple endings, and he's like, come
:06:14. > :06:18.on, jump! I am like, I don't know you that well to just jump in your
:06:19. > :06:25.arms! He's like, Oti come just jump! And I'm like, he caught me! We've
:06:26. > :06:29.got to do it over and over again! And he did it, it was amazing. I
:06:30. > :06:35.kind of like broke my contact lenses. It's a long story, so during
:06:36. > :06:40.that whole dance, I could not see. So basically you are jumping behind?
:06:41. > :06:51.All I saw was a blue figure standing there, and all I knew was, nobody
:06:52. > :06:59.ever gets to jump abridge into Danny Mac's answerable how was it to hear
:07:00. > :07:05.your name? I was gutted. Of all the weeks, you do not want to be there
:07:06. > :07:12.in the dance-off. And everyone was so good. You thought your time was
:07:13. > :07:17.up. I just thought, that is so typical, we get to the semis, and
:07:18. > :07:21.that's it, done. It had all been so smooth, and we'd been so fortunate,
:07:22. > :07:25.even when things did not go so well, we still went through. Definitely we
:07:26. > :07:31.deserve it at some point. And actually in hindsight, to come out
:07:32. > :07:35.of it and to be on the good side of a dance-off, it is a great lesson to
:07:36. > :07:41.learn. And it's a great feeling to know you've achieved that. And at
:07:42. > :07:47.least that's part of the Strictly experience. You've had the full
:07:48. > :07:49.experience, you really have! So, this weekend, the final. Three
:07:50. > :07:54.dances for you, including the Showdance, the judges' pick and your
:07:55. > :08:04.favourite dance. What have you chosen and white, Oti? WE have
:08:05. > :08:10.chosen the samba! Why in particular, and was it a decision that you came
:08:11. > :08:15.to together? Yes. You know what? That dance was just so much fun, it
:08:16. > :08:19.was us letting go. I think if that's going to be the last dance that we
:08:20. > :08:23.ever get to do together, it has to be just a fun one where we get to
:08:24. > :08:29.release and go wild and have it be memorable. That for me was like the
:08:30. > :08:34.biggest achievement that I've had on this show for so many reasons. We
:08:35. > :08:39.always said Oti had to give me a character to go out and play to get
:08:40. > :08:43.through it, to detach myself from being on that floor. But that one,
:08:44. > :08:48.she went, it's just you and me, and we threw everything at it. And I
:08:49. > :08:51.felt like I was enjoying myself for the first time. That was me out
:08:52. > :08:55.there having fun with my best friend. It was just a dream. Stop
:08:56. > :09:01.it, I'm very emotional wreck already! We will find out about the
:09:02. > :09:05.music in a moment. Oti, you've blown our minds with your choreography all
:09:06. > :09:10.the way through, so your Showdance, is it going to be like nothing we
:09:11. > :09:16.have seen before? I hope so, I hope we can bring in some new elements of
:09:17. > :09:21.dancing on the show. So, the judges' pick, are you happy with what they
:09:22. > :09:26.have chosen? I am allowed to say? I do not want to say too much but I am
:09:27. > :09:30.very, very happy with it. I am so pleased we get to do it again. We
:09:31. > :09:38.cannot wait. Good luck in training. We will see you on Friday. Your
:09:39. > :09:44.amazing, Danny and Oti! I can barely compose myself to make this next
:09:45. > :09:48.introduction, because for the last time this series, we are putting
:09:49. > :10:04.choreography in a corner - it's Karen Hardy!
:10:05. > :10:09.Dame Karen Hardy, everyone! I'm going to miss that music week after
:10:10. > :10:15.week! Such a brilliant semifinal, so much to discuss. We're going to
:10:16. > :10:18.start with the top of the leaderboard, with Ore and Joanne,
:10:19. > :10:28.their first dance, the liver clad quickstep. Despite giving them an
:10:29. > :10:31.eight, he said that Joanne had set a very high standard of amalgamation.
:10:32. > :10:36.What did he mean? I love it nothing more than when our professionals can
:10:37. > :10:42.smell a trophy. They know it's just around the corner, and we got, from
:10:43. > :10:47.Joanne, she upped the choreography. Amalgamation means quick and slow,
:10:48. > :10:52.up and down, even a potential mannequin moment. So, this fabulous
:10:53. > :10:56.piece of Collier % up in the corner, the kicks and clicks, and they're so
:10:57. > :11:04.confident in what they are doing. Just freeze. And let's show off with
:11:05. > :11:09.the confidence, a wink in there as well. Again, scattered with a few
:11:10. > :11:13.errors, the gapping and things, but my goodness me, I never saw that
:11:14. > :11:18.coming in a million years - it was fabulous. I do believe you have a
:11:19. > :11:24.demonstration for us? I can't even get away with it on the last day!
:11:25. > :11:28.It's going to be a long winter! We have done pendulum swings before,
:11:29. > :11:31.but I thought we would do one in combination with a woodpecker.
:11:32. > :11:38.Because of that wonderful quickstep. A pendulum is swing, if everybody at
:11:39. > :11:43.home puts down their cooking utensils, and swing the legs, we get
:11:44. > :11:50.a nice bounce going on and we just tap the tow behind. Now, we combine
:11:51. > :12:00.the two, lonely amalgamation. A swing and a! There we go! Let's look
:12:01. > :12:07.now at their mesmerising Argentine tango. Rumour did not know if he was
:12:08. > :12:13.watching a lion tamer or magician. What did you think of it? For me it
:12:14. > :12:15.is not a Strictly semifinal without an Argentina Tango. This was
:12:16. > :12:20.fabulous. The energy, the assertiveness. The synchronicity
:12:21. > :12:25.between the two of them. Look at the perfection of the foot timing
:12:26. > :12:31.together. But on top of that, the assertiveness that he has learnt
:12:32. > :12:34.across the weeks. We had our front runners and we've got our slow
:12:35. > :12:38.burners. That has got to be the best final we could ever ask for. The
:12:39. > :12:42.teamwork between these two is sensational, equal now to the
:12:43. > :12:47.others. Masculine, leading through his own body, which he has learned
:12:48. > :12:57.throughout the weeks, and only because of that leading, he can make
:12:58. > :13:00.the woman look so amazing. OK, thank goodness, Danny and Oti surviving
:13:01. > :13:05.the dance-off. The judges were loving the lifts, what did you make
:13:06. > :13:09.of it? This was sensational. The music, the choreography, the
:13:10. > :13:18.performance element full stop but rightly so, Craig pick up on the
:13:19. > :13:22.essential element, which was the hip action. But I have to pick up on the
:13:23. > :13:26.choreography. These two have not stopped from beginning to end. They
:13:27. > :13:29.have pushed boundaries. We would say potentially Danny was one of our
:13:30. > :13:33.front runners, but towards the end, he has not held back anything. Have
:13:34. > :13:39.made the choreography more and more complex, and I absolutely loved it.
:13:40. > :13:42.But you must get technique, choreography, musicality and
:13:43. > :13:51.performance to raise that trophy. Just those for things! And their
:13:52. > :13:54.American smooth rich was stunning. And reversion, Darcey scored lower
:13:55. > :14:01.than Craig for once - was she just being picky? Go, girl. You've got to
:14:02. > :14:07.say what you feel as a judge. This is what I call a Marmite Downs, you
:14:08. > :14:11.either love it or hate it. They brought contemporary elements into
:14:12. > :14:17.it. Plus a clever, more difficult piece of lift work. Darcey is always
:14:18. > :14:23.meticulous with a lift work action. However, the quality, the beauty, as
:14:24. > :14:30.they went into the extra terms. However, and this was kicked up on
:14:31. > :14:37.by Len, he did not do the reverse turn, and he did not do that picky.
:14:38. > :14:42.We would need a combination of everything in that final. Right,
:14:43. > :14:45.Louise and Kevin, Tango for them first. The judges were impressed
:14:46. > :14:50.with the detail. What stood out for you? Remember we said previously, I
:14:51. > :14:54.thought everything was a little bit too simple. So I have picked up on
:14:55. > :14:58.this lovely bit of choreography. They're dancing down the floor. We
:14:59. > :15:04.have got the flicking action, the pivot turn with the kick. They're
:15:05. > :15:09.adding more detail, they've made it more complicated, which I really
:15:10. > :15:15.love. It was scattered with errors, we can see the gapping. I would say
:15:16. > :15:17.the top line was too far forward in the Argentine tango. The
:15:18. > :15:23.international Tango should be a lot further back. Four pieces of the pie
:15:24. > :15:26.for that final, and tech is one of them. But I love her, we have all
:15:27. > :15:40.fallen in love with her. Onto the Samba, Len could not get
:15:41. > :15:43.enough of the maple. We love bringing back a step like that. Well
:15:44. > :15:50.done, Kevin. Maybe it will not mean much to the public but this is the
:15:51. > :15:54.maypole, which I liked the lady. He has been clever in making her the
:15:55. > :15:58.centre of attention. The song was Brazil, which we all love as
:15:59. > :16:01.dancers. She brought a lot of energy. She had her eyes down and
:16:02. > :16:04.she looked nervous but her personality, that we have all fallen
:16:05. > :16:08.in love with as the weeks have gone on, together with this choreography,
:16:09. > :16:12.I cannot wait to see what the final is going to be like. I cannot wait
:16:13. > :16:20.either. Karen Hardy, you are godless and I will miss you over the next
:16:21. > :16:24.few months. -- you are a goddess. I adore her. The goodbyes keep on
:16:25. > :16:27.coming. Before we pop the jukebox into storage, let's will it out one
:16:28. > :16:40.last time for a special edition of tunes on Tuesday. # Let's dance...
:16:41. > :16:45.It is almost time to say goodbye, old faithful friend. I have one last
:16:46. > :16:56.dime, so let's make it a good one. Hit me with my first show dance
:16:57. > :17:00.tune. Adele! Yes, her smash, set fire to the rain, which spent a
:17:01. > :17:07.whopping 23 weeks at number one. I tell you. It backed her two Brit
:17:08. > :17:12.awards and six Grammys. Hang on a minute. I know it is bad luck
:17:13. > :17:16.indoors. The accolades have been pouring in ever since. Her latest
:17:17. > :17:23.album, 25, is now the fastest selling album of all time on both
:17:24. > :17:30.sides of the Atlantic. Who will be hoping to set the dance floor like
:17:31. > :17:39.with this song on Saturday? -- set the dance floor alight. Are you
:17:40. > :17:47.ready? OK. Danny and Oti. It will be a beauty. Let's see what is on next.
:17:48. > :17:50.# I got rhythm... It is the popular Gershwin brothers song, I've got
:17:51. > :17:56.written, performed by some of Hollywood's greatest musical stars
:17:57. > :18:01.from Judy Garland to Gene Kelly. He tap danced along to this classic in
:18:02. > :18:10.the Oscar-winning movie, an American in Paris. Much like Thom here, John
:18:11. > :18:15.chambers! -- Thom chambers. I love it when he does that. That is
:18:16. > :18:27.amazing. Who will be channelling their inner Gene Kelly on Saturday?
:18:28. > :18:33.Here we go. Ore and Joanne! Thom Chambers! That means that it just
:18:34. > :18:43.leaves the wheeze and Kevin's show dance song. Here we go. # I want one
:18:44. > :18:51.moment in time... It's Whitney Houston's One Moment In Time. . It
:18:52. > :18:56.was recorded for the whole of in Seoul in 1988. The finished line is
:18:57. > :19:01.in place. Whatever happens, they are guaranteed a place on the podium. To
:19:02. > :19:04.find out more about this weekend's songs, head to our website. All that
:19:05. > :19:14.is left to do is just enjoy these two ladies reaching for the finish
:19:15. > :19:24.line... I love it. All that is left to do now, sadly, is power-down the
:19:25. > :19:30.jukebox. 94 the memories, my little friend. On Saturday, Danny, the
:19:31. > :19:33.wheeze or Ore will the famous butterball, joining an exclusive
:19:34. > :19:37.club of Strictly champions. Here to reveal the secret to getting your
:19:38. > :19:50.hands on the trophy, Darren Gough and Thom Chambers. That was class. I
:19:51. > :20:01.am telling you. The amount of detail in your work is extraordinary. The
:20:02. > :20:07.winners of Strictly Come Dancing, Jill and Darren. You have danced
:20:08. > :20:14.beautifully. The Incredible Hulk of the competition!
:20:15. > :20:33.I loved it. All I can say is wow. The winners of Strictly Come
:20:34. > :20:40.Dancing, Tom and flabby. -- Flavia. Amazing hairdos. Give it up for our
:20:41. > :20:48.winners last. Great to see you. It was amazing to see that. It takes me
:20:49. > :20:54.back. It was a long time ago. A bit of sun in in your hair. Those tips.
:20:55. > :20:58.Whether you display your get butterball is? I am interested to
:20:59. > :21:07.know. I have three format. I have lost count. -- three or four. It is
:21:08. > :21:12.in my office, my study, whatever you call it. No cricket trophies, it is
:21:13. > :21:19.all about Strictly. Where is yours? Beside my retro record player. I
:21:20. > :21:25.knew I liked you. Beside the bedside table. I think my dad thinks that he
:21:26. > :21:31.won it because he has always got it. In his office, he is a chartered
:21:32. > :21:35.accountant, it is on the pavement, so that people walk past and do a
:21:36. > :21:39.double-take. It is good for business, I love it! Jill, in the
:21:40. > :21:43.audience on Saturday, when you were watching the show again, do you want
:21:44. > :21:49.to get up and join in? Yes. It was such a good show. It was amazing. It
:21:50. > :21:53.makes you want to do it again, it brings it all back. It was such a
:21:54. > :21:59.good show. Absolutely spectacular. Back to steer is three, Darren,
:22:00. > :22:03.there we were. You won and I have not spoken to you since then. Just
:22:04. > :22:09.kidding! -- series three. He did not have the best start. You got 19 on
:22:10. > :22:12.the cha-cha-cha and then he became the people's champion and you got
:22:13. > :22:18.better and better. It was amazing. He did go on a journey. Who do you
:22:19. > :22:22.think, looking at this series, has had the best journey? This is a
:22:23. > :22:25.difficult one. How do you judge it, what to look for? Danny is the best
:22:26. > :22:32.answer by far, in my personal opinion. But for the journey, I
:22:33. > :22:37.think the wheeze. When it went down to two dancers, I thought she would
:22:38. > :22:42.struggle. But now her journey, I think she has got better every week,
:22:43. > :22:47.until last week, which I think was probably her worst week for a while.
:22:48. > :22:51.Her journey has been fantastic. And everybody adores her. She is such a
:22:52. > :22:56.sweetheart. And it is kind of anyone's game. The shocker of Danny
:22:57. > :23:01.being in the bottom two. You were up against Rachel Stevens and Lisa
:23:02. > :23:06.Snowdon, and amazing final. How do you bring it in the last Jill? You
:23:07. > :23:10.get to a point, my wife told me that I needed to go up a gear because I
:23:11. > :23:13.was not quite there. The others were overtaking me and I thought, right,
:23:14. > :23:18.I have to really knuckle down. And it gets to the point where it is a
:23:19. > :23:22.bit of a mystery because it is a really lovely atmosphere, and
:23:23. > :23:26.everyone is really good friends, good support, and then it is like,
:23:27. > :23:32.wow, we are approaching the finals, and you have to really focus. The
:23:33. > :23:36.audience think you are completely in control but actually you are
:23:37. > :23:39.entirely out of control. And it does not go, that fear. Any advice to
:23:40. > :23:44.them, doing three dancers this weekend? What should they be doing?
:23:45. > :23:49.My advice my dance like you have won it. The thing is with any type of
:23:50. > :23:55.performance, you have to make the person who is watching you feel
:23:56. > :23:59.really safe and believe in you. And Danny and Oti, they dance like they
:24:00. > :24:02.are winners. But the other two are completely capable of that. They
:24:03. > :24:06.just need to go out there and dance the way that they dance because all
:24:07. > :24:11.of them will up their game. And I think that it will be a really close
:24:12. > :24:15.final. Let's look at them all in a little detail. Starting with Danny
:24:16. > :24:19.and Oti. The bottom two for the first time on Saturday. Did you see
:24:20. > :24:25.that coming? He is by far the best answer. He has been greater since we
:24:26. > :24:28.won. He has got better. People think is the best man ever, and I kind of
:24:29. > :24:35.find that hard to believe. I think the one who came close was Tom. The
:24:36. > :24:40.best show dance ever. I was not even the best in our show, but I won it.
:24:41. > :24:43.And I can accept that. Colin and you, you were better than me.
:24:44. > :24:48.Because it is a public show, I will take it, but I think Danny is by far
:24:49. > :24:53.the best. That does not mean he will win. That is what I like about the
:24:54. > :24:57.show. Louise and Kevin, she has really grown in confidence each
:24:58. > :25:02.week. Have you been impressed by her progress? The reason why I love the
:25:03. > :25:04.wheeze and Kevin is because all of their partnership. -- Louise and
:25:05. > :25:09.Kevin. I think they have total respect for each other. They are
:25:10. > :25:14.really good friends and I love the way that Kevin choreographs. I love
:25:15. > :25:17.that he shows her off. I think she just needs to believe in herself as
:25:18. > :25:24.much as Kevin believes, and she can do it. Talking about Ore and July
:25:25. > :25:27.now, they topped the leaderboard for the first time this weekend. As he
:25:28. > :25:33.upped his game at the right time? He really has. He is a man after my own
:25:34. > :25:37.heart. He has really tried to get himself into that field of
:25:38. > :25:41.performance, when it is make or break on the floor. Coming from a
:25:42. > :25:44.sporting background, a sports presenter, without that feeling of
:25:45. > :25:48.how you have to get your body into the moves and really believe that
:25:49. > :25:56.you were doing it, it is really difficult. I think he is like Gene
:25:57. > :26:05.Kelly. When he did to two singing in the rain, it was amazing. Bruno has
:26:06. > :26:12.said he has joined the holy trinity of giants, along with you and Jade.
:26:13. > :26:15.He is doing it again in the final. Could that win him the competition?
:26:16. > :26:20.I think everyone likes the jive because it is a fun, dynamic dance.
:26:21. > :26:24.If you can get the crowd on your side and get those people at home
:26:25. > :26:28.excited about what you were doing, it is a real crowd pleaser. I think
:26:29. > :26:34.it is a good one to do. It is the most energetic. You really have to
:26:35. > :26:39.work hard. It is a real cardio work-out. Not for me. I was rubbish.
:26:40. > :26:48.When I did mine, you said I looked like a wedding pony. Who is going to
:26:49. > :26:54.win? I wanted Tameka to win but she is not here so I'm going to go for
:26:55. > :27:04.the wheeze. I hope she wins. -- go for Louise. Who do I want to win?
:27:05. > :27:11.Louise. Tom? I was the one Oti and Danny but Ore. It is so gorgeous to
:27:12. > :27:17.see all of you. Who will be joining you with the glitter ball? Give it
:27:18. > :27:23.up for Darren, chill and Tom. -- Jill. Thank you to all my guests.
:27:24. > :27:28.Join us tomorrow for a catch up one last time. And for the first time
:27:29. > :27:31.ever we will welcome TV's favourite double act to our sofa, Tess and
:27:32. > :27:35.Claude will be here. Good night.
