:00:14. > :00:24.Coming up on tonight's show, despite the high score, Jason and
:00:24. > :00:26.
:00:26. > :00:32.Kristina ended up in the bottom two. Find out how Brendan did in our
:00:32. > :00:42.botafogo challenge. Ian Waite gives us a sneaky peak of
:00:42. > :01:15.
:01:15. > :01:18.the couples in training. This is It Live from Television Centre, this
:01:18. > :01:24.is It Takes Two. Please welcome your host, Zoe Ball.
:01:24. > :01:29.Hello and welcome to It Takes Two. Not long until our famous five take
:01:29. > :01:37.on the Strictly semi-final. This weekend our couples will perform
:01:37. > :01:40.two dances and attempt to make it into the Grand Final. Jason and
:01:41. > :01:45.Kristina performed a stunning American smooth, but ended up in
:01:45. > :01:50.the bottom twoment here is a reminder of what happened.
:01:50. > :01:53.Gene Kelly's shoes are hard to fill, but I I loved it. Jason, you did
:01:54. > :01:58.really well. It was elegantly played and you
:01:58. > :02:02.made it look easy. The foxtrot was excellently
:02:02. > :02:11.executed. It was a very, very special performance.
:02:11. > :02:15.I really loved it, for the charisma, it was really fantastic.
:02:15. > :02:19.This woman's choreography is outstanding. It is a great piece of
:02:19. > :02:26.story telling. When I get into that groove, I get a a buzz and that's
:02:26. > :02:33.what I live for in this competition. Amazing. Perfect.
:02:33. > :02:39.Please welcome Jason and Kristina. Thank you so much. Hello. Well done
:02:39. > :02:43.on Saturday night. I was dewey eyed watching that. Lots of people were
:02:43. > :02:52.shocked that you were in the bottom two. Were you surprised yourselves?
:02:52. > :02:56.Yeah. As Holly said, it is not the
:02:56. > :03:00.greatest feeling in the world, but I think it is a public vote and you
:03:00. > :03:04.just, any of us at any stage could be in that position, you know. I
:03:05. > :03:09.think as the competition has gone on it has become more difficult and
:03:09. > :03:13.you know, we found ourselves in the middle of the leaderboard. I am not
:03:13. > :03:21.making excuses, but I guess I'm trying to find reasons, I guess
:03:21. > :03:27.that's the main thing Christine narks Kristina you were
:03:27. > :03:31.visibly upset during the results show. How pleased were you? It is
:03:31. > :03:37.one more chance. I think I was convinced we were going home
:03:37. > :03:41.because I said to Jason "we're out. Just make your final speech.".
:03:41. > :03:45.you have a speech written already? Yes. Yeah, it is a wonderful
:03:45. > :03:50.opportunity. One more time to go out there and entertain together
:03:50. > :03:55.with him. One more time, it could be two more times. Alesha was in
:03:55. > :04:03.the bottom two and went on to win, remember that Donovan!
:04:03. > :04:08.A lot of support for you online. Carole said, "Wow, wow, that's the
:04:08. > :04:12.best dance of the night. You should have got more tens." You didn't get
:04:12. > :04:17.any negative comments from the judges and they were dishing the
:04:17. > :04:24.tens out. I think they would have rewarded us with better scores. I
:04:24. > :04:26.did a long solo by himself and he takes chances and I'm so proud of
:04:26. > :04:32.him because it was a beautiful special dance.
:04:32. > :04:35.I love the way you say proud. Can you say it one more time? I am very
:04:35. > :04:38.proud. You always give your all. How
:04:38. > :04:42.difficult is it at this stage because you are exhausted, going
:04:42. > :04:46.into the training room on a Monday picking yourself up and getting at
:04:46. > :04:51.it again? That's really tough. The cycle of this week and these weeks
:04:51. > :04:55.just keep sort of going on and going on, but I think what keeps me
:04:55. > :05:00.going and keeps us going is just that magic when you dance, you know.
:05:00. > :05:04.It is a skill for me personally that I'm going to take for years
:05:04. > :05:10.and years professionally ahead of me, but you know, it is that sort
:05:10. > :05:16.of, that magic, we are doing the Argentine tango this week. As I
:05:16. > :05:19.refer to it as the birth of a dance. There is some dance that you just
:05:19. > :05:23.connect with and that's one of those dances and that's what gets
:05:23. > :05:29.me excited about this competition. And our relationship.
:05:30. > :05:35.I heard, a little birdie told me, you learned the Argentine tango
:05:35. > :05:39.routine in a day. Is that a record for you guys? Well, by now he is
:05:39. > :05:42.learning quick. I think the Argentine tango is one of those
:05:42. > :05:45.dances which kind of came together with the music and the storyline
:05:45. > :05:48.and everything, you know. It is just a really special dance. The
:05:48. > :05:54.second dance, the samba is more difficult as we all know.
:05:54. > :05:59.Let's talk about the samba. It is very tricky.
:05:59. > :06:04.Some people really struggle with it. Tell me, do you love it, not so
:06:04. > :06:09.much? It is a dance that requires very little sort of effort, but at
:06:09. > :06:13.the same time I I guess not knowing where to place your body is part of
:06:13. > :06:16.going too far sometimes. I guess less is more, but it is a hard
:06:16. > :06:20.dance to know where to pitch it, really.
:06:20. > :06:27.You have that straight hips going side ways, rotating.
:06:27. > :06:37.He has good hip action so that's a big plus. The music is wonderful.
:06:37. > :06:40.
:06:40. > :06:44.Let's hear your music. Are you doing that move?
:06:44. > :06:50.I love it! Well done. Now you are a family man.
:06:50. > :06:54.We know you are a big family man, what did your kids think of daddy
:06:54. > :06:58.getting into the semi-finals? they haven't been embarrassed by
:06:58. > :07:02.dad's shapes on television so far and that's unique. They can get
:07:02. > :07:07.embarrassed by my singing and acting, but the dancing has been
:07:07. > :07:12.good. It means a hell of a lot to them and they were devastated last
:07:12. > :07:17.Sunday night, but you know, onwards and upwards and I think hopefully,
:07:17. > :07:21.they are going to be voting for us this week ten fold!
:07:21. > :07:25.On the phone constantly. The thing we love about you, how
:07:25. > :07:30.you keep yourself focused during the week with a range of
:07:30. > :07:32.inspirational man tras. Let's remind ourselves of some of our
:07:32. > :07:37.favourites. It is about the journey and not
:07:37. > :07:41.necessarily about the destination. Keep on keeping on.
:07:41. > :07:50.Bring on the tools. Fortune favours the brave.
:07:50. > :07:57.Sometimes when you you jump, you fly.
:07:57. > :08:01.You have alnumber of savings -- a number of sayings. We have a range
:08:01. > :08:11.of Jason merchandise. Here is a very special person to model the
:08:11. > :08:14.
:08:14. > :08:17.collection. In he comes, Mr Russell Grant.
:08:17. > :08:22.Such lovies, get back to the catwalk, Grant.
:08:23. > :08:29.Pause. Pause. Pause. Right, here he is, wearing a
:08:29. > :08:38.fetching T-shirt with the the slogan "it's about the journey, not
:08:38. > :08:43.the destination with a matching tote bag." There is an apron which
:08:43. > :08:46.says, "Fortune favours the brave. Sometimes when you jump, you fly."
:08:46. > :08:55.Which goes delightfully with the rest of the outfit and it is
:08:55. > :09:05.suitable for most occasions. Not forgetting the the the handy place
:09:05. > :09:14.
:09:14. > :09:15.mat, reminding you keep on. All available in a store near you!
:09:15. > :09:18.APPLAUSE You can take those home with you.
:09:18. > :09:21.He is back. Good luck this weekend. Thank you.
:09:21. > :09:31.He will teach you how to do a samba!
:09:31. > :09:37.
:09:37. > :09:44.Jason and Kristina, he is samba. Only one man has the real low down
:09:44. > :09:53.on how they are getting on this training and he is here now. Mr Ian
:09:53. > :09:58.Waite. Not only have I I been ruffled by
:09:58. > :10:02.Russell, Ian Waite is here. Hello blondy.
:10:02. > :10:10.I want Russell Russell round my house.
:10:10. > :10:20.Everybody needs a Russell Grant. Let's start with Alex even though
:10:20. > :10:27.
:10:27. > :10:32.her shoe got stuck in her dress. The judges and ladies have
:10:32. > :10:37.struggled with the salsa. It is a difficult dance to master and co-
:10:37. > :10:45.ordinate and be smooth with it. What I wanted to emphasise the hips
:10:45. > :10:49.basically. She needs to be able to be loose and give lots of rhythm
:10:50. > :10:59.and a little bit later I'm hoping they will get together and do a
:11:00. > :11:08.
:11:08. > :11:15.little bit of salsa. It is all in the hips. She does a
:11:15. > :11:18.ballroom dance so well Alex. How is her waltz looking. She is looking
:11:18. > :11:23.really good. Her eye levels. She has really improved her posture and
:11:23. > :11:32.her arms. This is a great step running around the man.
:11:32. > :11:35.Is that his technical term, running around the man? It is an easy dance.
:11:35. > :11:40.James has been clever with the steps because here they have just
:11:40. > :11:47.done a changing step around the outside, but without closing which
:11:47. > :11:51.makes it easier. I'm hoping later on they will do a few more closes
:11:51. > :11:55.because it is waltz, but doing very well.
:11:55. > :11:59.Chelsee seems unstoppable. You were Saying last week, that you were
:11:59. > :12:04.looking at her jive training and you knew it was going to be a goody.
:12:05. > :12:09.She got three tens. She did an amazing job and we will all all
:12:09. > :12:14.agree she was fantastic. She was. Looking at this... What are we
:12:14. > :12:20.looking at first? American smooth. They did a lovely lift at the
:12:20. > :12:25.beginning with a hug. What I love is everything is rerched towards
:12:25. > :12:29.him -- referenced towards him. She is becoming one with Pasha. I want
:12:29. > :12:33.to emphasise and slow this down, all her arms have finished off and
:12:33. > :12:38.she is acting the part already. She has really got the character of
:12:38. > :12:41.this American smooth and it is very smooth as you can see and she is
:12:41. > :12:46.finishing off the arms there, look at her.
:12:46. > :12:52.It almost looks like they are falling in love. Fingers crossed.
:12:52. > :12:57.It would be so nice to have a bit of romance. The paso doble, it is
:12:57. > :13:02.hard to follow Holly was so good. How is it looking in rehearsals?
:13:02. > :13:07.She has has got a prop here. Hopefully she won't throw it in the
:13:07. > :13:13.wrong place and it will fall over like you did Zoe!
:13:13. > :13:20.I never did. You fell over. He fell over, not my fault, thank you!
:13:20. > :13:27.need to throw it out of the way the next next time. She has got very
:13:27. > :13:34.straight arms. We need to lift up this arm with
:13:34. > :13:40.the fans so she has a a more the fans so she has a a more
:13:40. > :13:43.Spanish arms. Creating space with the flamenco arms.
:13:43. > :13:49.Good luck to Chelsee. Let's talk about Holly and Artem.
:13:49. > :13:53.She was shocked she wasn't in the bottom two. Well, she should have
:13:53. > :13:58.watched Wednesday's programme, I watched the footage and I said, "I
:13:58. > :14:03.would be amazed if they are in the bottom two this week." They weren't.
:14:03. > :14:07.Sure enough. It is spooky. They have changed their music at
:14:07. > :14:10.the last minute yesterday so we can't see any of their Charleston,
:14:10. > :14:14.but we can see their Argentine tango, what do you think? This will
:14:14. > :14:19.be a great dance for her. It really does, I talked about it before, but
:14:19. > :14:26.it is all about the legs. A lot about the leg extensions and stuff.
:14:26. > :14:29.For Holly she has the advantage of the great, lovely long legs, a bit
:14:29. > :14:34.like you, Zoe. I stopped it here because I wanted
:14:34. > :14:40.to show that lovely length of line that she is creating throughout the
:14:40. > :14:48.dance and she is stretching the inside of her legs. Nice and low.
:14:48. > :14:54.can't get low, I'm seizing up. Can you help me back up
:14:54. > :14:59.Join in, everybody. Have you ever thought about doing a
:14:59. > :15:03.DVD? You never know, there might be one in the pipeline, darling.
:15:03. > :15:08.Jason and Kristina ended up in the bottom two, but they were saved.
:15:08. > :15:11.Jason has been talking about the samba being tricky. What are you
:15:12. > :15:16.thinking of his training? This will be a challenge for him. Tas
:15:16. > :15:24.difficult dance to master. -- it is a difficult dance to master. You
:15:24. > :15:30.are one of the rare celebrities that mastered the samba. But it is
:15:30. > :15:34.a difficult dance, but he has the bounce in there. I'm more concerned
:15:34. > :15:43.about his arms really. I would like to see, he needs to keep them
:15:43. > :15:46.compact so at times they flail around. Show us the samba arms?
:15:46. > :15:51.Every time you go into something, you are creating a line with the
:15:51. > :15:57.arms. Can you watch him do that for
:15:57. > :16:01.hours? Yes, watch him doing that for hours. He is doing the
:16:01. > :16:05.Argentine tango which he does like. This is better for him. It suits
:16:05. > :16:09.him. He is creating fantastic lines. He is precise and clean which is
:16:09. > :16:16.what you need in an Argentine tango and what I love here is look at
:16:16. > :16:22.that. Now look at all that passion going into that dance. I want to
:16:22. > :16:32.show everybody at home. Come in here. You get around me this.
:16:32. > :16:38.happily. Turn around. Bring it in. Hello, smoulder. Can you take me
:16:38. > :16:42.home? I didn't ask about the leg. They have got that intensity
:16:42. > :16:45.between them. That's what you need, intensity.
:16:45. > :16:55.Harry and Aliona and he has been training so hard. It has been
:16:55. > :17:02.
:17:02. > :17:06.paying off. Amazing rumba last week. Two dances for Harry, va The waltz.
:17:06. > :17:10.He is up on the balls of his feet too much. He does the correct
:17:10. > :17:17.footwork, brilliantly, just a bit flatter in the feet.
:17:17. > :17:24.Did you get that Judd? With his headline, sometimes he is
:17:24. > :17:27.looking at Aliona as he is turning foo the natural turns -- into the
:17:27. > :17:30.natural turns and I would like him to look out more. He is looking out
:17:31. > :17:35.to the direction that he is going on a natural turn, out towards the
:17:35. > :17:43.corner of the room. A bit more. It is looking fantastic.
:17:43. > :17:47.It is just that little bit extra which I I would like to see.
:17:47. > :17:50.And also doing the Charleston this week. We love the Charleston
:17:50. > :17:55.generally. I can't find my card. You know it.
:17:55. > :17:59.It is looking fantastic and I am loving these moves that he has got
:17:59. > :18:03.here and it is going to be humour. There will be lots of humour. I'm
:18:03. > :18:07.hoping that will come out in Harry this week. We don't tend to see a
:18:07. > :18:09.lot of expression from him. He has had serious dances and
:18:10. > :18:15.romantic dances. This time he gets to be daft.
:18:15. > :18:21.I am hoping he will come out with the smiles and razzmatazz. When he
:18:21. > :18:25.is going the Charleston steps, he is doing it brilliantly. He has got
:18:25. > :18:32.the swivel. He has got the swivel, ladies and
:18:32. > :18:38.gentlemen. He has got the swivel.
:18:38. > :18:44.Do you do chicken arms? He has the lovely swivels with the feet.
:18:44. > :18:50.And of course they want to get to Blackpool. We never had the chance,
:18:50. > :18:55.but we have news just in, we're going too! Yes, we are, ladies and
:18:55. > :19:03.gentlemen. We are packing up the It Takes Two team and next Friday we
:19:03. > :19:08.will have a one hour long show live from Blackpool Tower. We're very,
:19:08. > :19:17.very excited. Thank you very much blondy, we will see you soon. Ian
:19:17. > :19:19.Waite. APPLAUSE
:19:19. > :19:22.As well as lifting the Strictly glitter ball, there is another
:19:22. > :19:26.important competition that our pro pro dancers want to win. It is our
:19:26. > :19:32.2011 It Takes Two World Pro Challenge. We have the record at
:19:32. > :19:42.stake. The most botafogos in 30 seconds.
:19:42. > :19:46.
:19:46. > :19:50.And we want a world champion. Please welcome Brendan Cole.
:19:50. > :19:54.Come on Coley. How are you? I am amazing, thank you very much.
:19:54. > :20:01.You are quite amazing actually. This could be a year you will never
:20:01. > :20:07.forget super pro. In the the title will you be able to live up to your
:20:07. > :20:17.your... This has been the best year of Strictly, dancing with Holly and
:20:17. > :20:19.
:20:19. > :20:23.dancing with Anita. And dancing with Lulu. Let's see you you you
:20:23. > :20:27.got on with your record attempt? would be lovely to have a world
:20:27. > :20:31.record. I make no bones about it. Second place is a loss.
:20:31. > :20:34.Would the next challenger please make their way to the floor? Hello
:20:34. > :20:38.Brendan. Hello Craig.
:20:38. > :20:43.How are you feeling about this? Very good. Very confident.
:20:43. > :20:48.Anyone you want to beat. Irrelevant question, they will all be be
:20:48. > :20:52.beaten. Please take to the floor. Dancer
:20:52. > :20:56.ready? Ready. Adjudicator, are you ready? I am
:20:56. > :21:06.ready. For the record, in three, two, one
:21:06. > :21:36.
:21:36. > :21:41.Well done. Are you feeling the burn I'm feeling the burn.
:21:41. > :21:47.I saw three possible possible dodgy botafogo, but we will review that
:21:47. > :21:51.in slow motion. It is exhausting. A long time to
:21:51. > :21:58.move at that intensity. You start running out of steam and when you
:21:58. > :22:02.lose the steam, you start not not being able to control wru control
:22:02. > :22:07.where you put your legs which is integral to dance.
:22:07. > :22:11.How do you think you did there? That looked fast? I felt like I did
:22:11. > :22:15.really well. Like I have just seen in the video there, you have no
:22:15. > :22:19.control over your legs, they just go. The fake tan, I just had it
:22:19. > :22:24.done! We won't mention that.
:22:24. > :22:29.I'm not normally that orange. It was pretty intense. I am excited
:22:29. > :22:39.about this. Mr Cole, your bots botafogos have
:22:39. > :22:41.
:22:41. > :22:51.been counted and verified and I can now reveal the result.
:22:51. > :22:52.
:22:52. > :23:00.Boyfriend Brendan Cole, you had ten disallowed botafogos because you
:23:00. > :23:03.did not maintain your centre meaning your final score is 70.
:23:03. > :23:08.APPLAUSE He is not happy. Cole is not happy.
:23:08. > :23:14.Because I didn't maintain my centre. Let's look at the leaderboard. You
:23:14. > :23:19.are still top. Look, you are top of the leaderboard. I can see this one
:23:19. > :23:25.may have to go to the committee. disagree because I didn't maintain
:23:25. > :23:31.my centre? Yes. Tomorrow James and Artem face the
:23:31. > :23:37.Pro Challenge and the new record holder will be reveal.
:23:37. > :23:41.Check out my theatre tour online. It is all very exciting. Embrace
:23:41. > :23:51.the dance of love. I feel like Anton.
:23:51. > :23:55.
:23:55. > :23:59.The best rumba I have seen from a male celebrity in a long time.
:23:59. > :24:04.You have obviously been working on your hip action.
:24:04. > :24:09.A great mix of steps. Great shapes. You turned something that could
:24:09. > :24:12.have been tragic into magic. It is movie night tonne and
:24:12. > :24:18.someone's dreams are going to be left on the cutting room floor, but
:24:18. > :24:23.I tell you what, it won't be you. I'm so happy.
:24:23. > :24:33.It has been really tough and I have enjoyed it and it is good to finish
:24:33. > :24:37.
:24:37. > :24:42.on a high note there. Here they are. Harry was saying
