0:00:16 > 0:00:18- I don't know how to do this- BLEEP,- man.

0:00:18 > 0:00:21I do think it's time for Gary to go home. We need people that work.

0:00:21 > 0:00:23But project manager Penn Jillette

0:00:23 > 0:00:25still succeeded in pulling off their event.

0:00:25 > 0:00:27We've tried to cover all of your senses here.

0:00:27 > 0:00:29Could you kick it for us?

0:00:29 > 0:00:33While on Team Power, project manager Brande Roderick lacked creativity.

0:00:33 > 0:00:35What am I going to do for zip line?

0:00:35 > 0:00:37- It sure is hard!- Why don't you just put them in a chair,

0:00:37 > 0:00:40- then you push them in a chair to the other side of the room.- Yeah.

0:00:40 > 0:00:43And at the presentation, they missed the mark...

0:00:43 > 0:00:47I thought some of the stuff we were doing was getting a little juvenile.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49..which led to the team's sixth loss.

0:00:49 > 0:00:51- Penn, congratulations. - Thank you so much.

0:00:51 > 0:00:54Backed into a corner, Brande let Lil Jon off the hook...

0:00:54 > 0:00:57But it was his idea and yet, you're going to let him go?

0:00:57 > 0:01:02Jon, I felt, did a good job and I felt a sense of loyalty to him.

0:01:02 > 0:01:05We've been on Team Power from day one.

0:01:05 > 0:01:06..leaving her with nowhere to run.

0:01:06 > 0:01:11As project manager, this was your baby. Brande, you're fired.

0:01:19 > 0:01:21We were like, "Now, close your eyes.

0:01:21 > 0:01:25"Imagine that you were 900 feet in the air."

0:01:25 > 0:01:29- Then she pushed them down the... - Stop it!- It's nice, you know?

0:01:29 > 0:01:32We won. I'm really, really proud of my team.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34As I said in the boardroom,

0:01:34 > 0:01:39Lisa's true, like ice, like fire, and Gary got through.

0:01:39 > 0:01:44HE TALKS NONSENSICALLY

0:01:44 > 0:01:46Oh!

0:01:46 > 0:01:48- I know!- I knew it.

0:01:48 > 0:01:49What happened? What did he say?

0:01:49 > 0:01:52He said, "You think there's any reason these two should be fired?"

0:01:52 > 0:01:55And she said, "No." He said, "You know what that means, right?"

0:01:55 > 0:01:57She goes, "Yeah," and he goes, "Brande, you're fired."

0:01:57 > 0:01:59When she didn't say my name, I was shocked.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03Brande didn't want to bring me back. It touched my heart.

0:02:03 > 0:02:05I'm going to get emotional right now.

0:02:05 > 0:02:06My little sister's gone, man.

0:02:06 > 0:02:08Like, I'm all alone.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11How does it feel to be the only person left on Power,

0:02:11 > 0:02:14- the original Power?- Oh, are you the final...?- The original Power.

0:02:14 > 0:02:16I feel like the black guy in the horror movie!

0:02:16 > 0:02:18THEY LAUGH

0:02:18 > 0:02:20Yeah, I'm the last person from Team Power left.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22I'm going to try and pull in the win for Team Power.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24Would that not be a great underdog story?

0:02:24 > 0:02:27- Let's make that happen. - Final six.

0:02:27 > 0:02:31- Are we the final six? - So, we're still uneven.

0:02:31 > 0:02:33You know, it's three against three

0:02:33 > 0:02:37and I feel that Penn and I are going to have to work at least three,

0:02:37 > 0:02:40four times as hard and really pick up the slack...

0:02:40 > 0:02:43for Gary. He's got to step up now.

0:07:01 > 0:07:03You have such a knowledge of phones...

0:07:03 > 0:07:05- Unbelievable!- ..electronic gear you hold in your hand.

0:07:05 > 0:07:09- I am wise in the ways of electronic gear.- Yeah, I heard that.

0:07:09 > 0:07:11I am a cheerleader for technology,

0:07:34 > 0:07:36Where to? Where to?

0:07:36 > 0:07:39'A lot of people don't know about this disease.

0:07:39 > 0:07:41'It happens often and it comes without warning,'

0:07:41 > 0:07:46so now I'm fighting for money to win for that charity.

0:08:14 > 0:08:18So what we're here for today is to kind of go through our mobile phones

0:08:18 > 0:08:19and then appliances.

0:08:19 > 0:08:24'So the three tech guys come to give us a tutorial on all the appliances'

0:08:24 > 0:08:27and they're serious. You know, they're techies.

0:08:27 > 0:08:34This is our 55-inch Cinema 3D Smart TV, full HD, 1080p.

0:08:34 > 0:08:38- 3D cinema what?- 3D. Cinema 3D.

0:08:38 > 0:08:41A 55-inch cinema 3D?

0:08:41 > 0:08:44Yep. So, this is 2D, and with one click of the 3D button...

0:08:46 > 0:08:49- ..it was converted to 3D but still...- That's pretty good!

0:08:49 > 0:08:52- It's pretty good! - Oh, look at the bees!

0:08:52 > 0:08:53They're giant bees.

0:08:53 > 0:08:55Any site you can get on a computer,

0:09:00 > 0:09:02Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars.

0:09:02 > 0:09:05And it's as simple as that.

0:09:05 > 0:09:08It doesn't seem like he's here any more!

0:09:08 > 0:09:11'Really, it blows your mind in so many ways, that TV.

0:09:11 > 0:09:14'It has everything under the sun.'

0:09:14 > 0:09:16- It could practically- BLEEP- you.

0:09:18 > 0:09:21- How you guys doing?- Hi. - Good. My name's Chadigan.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25I'm going to be here to support you guys as far as mobile goes.

0:09:25 > 0:09:30The device itself is a perfect combination between an e-reader,

0:09:30 > 0:09:33a smartphone and a tablet

0:09:33 > 0:09:38in the one simple device that is thin and light.

0:09:38 > 0:09:39What was that?

0:09:39 > 0:09:43- I...- That's OK. It's actually a combination of an e-reader,

0:09:43 > 0:09:45a smartphone and a tablet.

0:09:45 > 0:09:49An e-reader, a smartphone...

0:09:49 > 0:09:50And a tablet.

0:09:50 > 0:09:52'I have a real simple cellphone.'

0:09:52 > 0:09:54All I need to do on my cellphone

0:09:54 > 0:09:57is call the number and talk or...

0:09:57 > 0:10:01- HE MIMICS BEEPING - "Hi, who's there?" That's it.

0:10:01 > 0:10:04- So all I did is I simply went into my...- Hey, slow down a little bit.

0:10:04 > 0:10:08- I'm not getting you.- OK. - You go real fast.- OK.

0:10:08 > 0:10:10All right.

0:10:10 > 0:10:14But this LG phone is like going to another planet without instructions.

0:10:14 > 0:10:18So, your options are either to receive it or to send it so we're

0:10:18 > 0:10:21going to load from the phone. So we're taking it in.

0:10:21 > 0:10:25So it goes out into our server and the internet world...

0:10:27 > 0:10:29There's no chance that Gary can understand it.

0:10:29 > 0:10:33No chance. There was three experts who could have taught him about what

0:10:33 > 0:10:37was going on and he walked away.

0:10:37 > 0:10:39He walked away from the tutorial.

0:10:39 > 0:10:41So I'm going to take all those items and here are my options.

0:10:41 > 0:10:44- Right.- I'm going to send them to the refrigerator.

0:10:44 > 0:10:48'I'm not a technician and Penn showed his genius at that.

0:10:48 > 0:10:51'And so I'm just sitting here thinking about what I'm doing.

0:10:51 > 0:10:55'To be accepted on the show and go as far as I did and be still on the show,'

0:10:55 > 0:10:59it's like I feel like a cat coming out of the closet on Halloween

0:10:59 > 0:11:00and that's this.

0:11:00 > 0:11:01HE HISSES

0:11:01 > 0:11:05You know, they're scary. Those guys are scary, especially on Halloween.

0:11:05 > 0:11:08But if you want to, you know, surprise somebody,

0:11:08 > 0:11:10that's a good way to do it. When they come in the door, be on just

0:11:10 > 0:11:13- the other side and they come in... - HE HISSES

0:11:13 > 0:11:16And they'll probably leave

0:11:16 > 0:11:19or they'll come in and find some kitty litter. I don't know.

0:11:19 > 0:11:20I wasn't there!

0:11:20 > 0:11:22HE LAUGHS

0:11:29 > 0:11:31Welcome to nerd heaven!

0:11:31 > 0:11:33So cool! It's nice.

0:11:33 > 0:11:38Our task this week is to create a 90-second demonstrational video

0:11:38 > 0:11:41highlighting LG products.

0:11:41 > 0:11:42This is so fun!

0:11:42 > 0:11:46We definitely need to win so we can get some free LG.

0:11:48 > 0:11:51Hello. Welcome. I'm Jon.

0:11:51 > 0:11:54'Three LG representatives come'

0:11:54 > 0:11:59and walk us through each one of the LG products.

0:11:59 > 0:12:01LG prides itself on innovation,

0:12:01 > 0:12:05so the first thing you'll notice when we talk about innovation is the

0:12:05 > 0:12:08- stylish design of the set. - It's just a screen.

0:12:08 > 0:12:12- Looks good, right?- Yeah, there's no border.- Yeah.- More TV.

0:12:12 > 0:12:15Looks as good as it does turned on as it does turned off,

0:12:15 > 0:12:17but it's not just a pretty face.

0:12:17 > 0:12:24It's a 55-inch LED Cinema 3D Smart TV, so it's not just good-looking,

0:12:24 > 0:12:27- it's smart.- I need one of these TVs!

0:12:27 > 0:12:33The TV is amazing because this TV is like all TV and the TV can make 2D

0:12:33 > 0:12:37stuff into 3D. It's like, I want one of these TVs, LG.

0:12:37 > 0:12:40LG, can you please hook a brother up with a TV?

0:12:40 > 0:12:43You now have the ability to link your phone to everything that's

0:12:43 > 0:12:47in your house - your dishwasher, refrigerator and your TV.

0:12:47 > 0:12:49And this phone might disappear.

0:12:49 > 0:12:51This phone might disappear.

0:12:51 > 0:12:54If I lose it, I don't know what happened to it.

0:12:54 > 0:12:56The other thing that's really cool about this phone is the camera

0:12:56 > 0:12:59features. What this camera does is, we have a cheese shutter.

0:12:59 > 0:13:02You say "cheese", it's going to take a picture. CLICK

0:13:02 > 0:13:06- It just took my picture.- What? - So, if you guys would like...

0:13:06 > 0:13:08- Cheese. - CAMERA SHUTTER CLICKS

0:13:08 > 0:13:10And then you can share that with the world.

0:13:10 > 0:13:13I want one of these phones, LG.

0:13:13 > 0:13:16The oven can tell you when it's done. Bomb!

0:13:16 > 0:13:18Washer and dryer, you can see it on your phone.

0:13:18 > 0:13:22Oh, I got three minutes left on that cycle!

0:13:22 > 0:13:24The refrigerator has Wi-Fi, Trace.

0:13:24 > 0:13:27The refrigerator with a grocery list? I want all this stuff!

0:13:27 > 0:13:30You can actually create a grocery list either on the refrigerator

0:13:30 > 0:13:33or on the phone. Most people write it down but what you can actually

0:13:33 > 0:13:36do here is add new food. It will now be on my phone.

0:13:36 > 0:13:39When I go to the grocery store, I can go, "Boom, boom, boom,

0:13:39 > 0:13:42"this is what I need." Once you get home and load up your refrigerator,

0:13:42 > 0:13:45if I click on "food in refrigerator",

0:13:45 > 0:13:48here's everything you can make with that. So, again, it's all about

0:13:48 > 0:13:50convenience with the smart appliance.

0:13:50 > 0:13:53The refrigerator - that was the Holy Grail. I mean, that refrigerator was

0:13:53 > 0:13:57something so remarkable it would be like having another family member.

0:13:57 > 0:13:59If I had that refrigerator,

0:13:59 > 0:14:01I would want to have a Christmas stocking for it.

0:14:01 > 0:14:03Milk, eggs, something that expires,

0:14:03 > 0:14:05you can actually set it to have a warning go off the day it expires.

0:14:05 > 0:14:09"Hey, your chocolate milk's expired. Would you like to add that to your grocery list?"

0:14:09 > 0:14:10Smart refrigerator.

0:14:10 > 0:14:13I want mine to just say, "Go away - you're too fat.

0:14:13 > 0:14:15"I thought you were on a diet!

0:14:15 > 0:14:16HE LAUGHS

0:14:16 > 0:14:20"The ice cream's not for you, fat ass."

0:14:20 > 0:14:22- Good morning.- Hey. - Lil Jon, how are you, sir?

0:14:22 > 0:14:24Pleasure to meet you. Trace, James.

0:14:24 > 0:14:27- Pleasure to meet you.- Sit on the couch.- Marilu.- Pleasure to meet you.

0:14:27 > 0:14:31We have an executive meeting with James Fishler from LG

0:14:31 > 0:14:36and he basically will tell us about the LG brand and some of the things

0:14:36 > 0:14:40he might want to see in our video.

0:14:40 > 0:14:43We were very impressed with the... with what we saw.

0:14:43 > 0:14:46What are some things that you would like us to pinpoint

0:14:46 > 0:14:50from your company standpoint that you think the world should know?

0:14:50 > 0:14:54A key message is that LG makes life good,

0:14:54 > 0:14:57so we look at what consumers want, challenges they deal with,

0:14:57 > 0:14:59how to make their lives better.

0:14:59 > 0:15:01There are certainly some hero products.

0:15:01 > 0:15:03When you do 90-second demonstrations,

0:15:03 > 0:15:07I mean, that's pretty fast, with four products especially.

0:15:07 > 0:15:12If we're doing a telephone, refrigerator, a TV and laundry,

0:15:12 > 0:15:18can the demos be less detailed or is it actually a how-to kind of thing?

0:15:18 > 0:15:22A key message that must be delivered is that LG delivers great products,

0:15:22 > 0:15:24smart technology,

0:15:24 > 0:15:28but that it's also easy-to-use and maybe even fun to use.

0:15:28 > 0:15:31LG is a warm and friendly brand.

0:15:31 > 0:15:35Life's good. That is our brand moniker, no doubt about it.

0:15:35 > 0:15:39But it's important for consumers to understand it can be really easy to

0:15:39 > 0:15:41incorporate technology in your life

0:15:41 > 0:15:45and it gives time back so they can do more things with their life.

0:15:45 > 0:15:48Spend time with friends, family and loved ones.

0:15:48 > 0:15:50'What I took away was,'

0:15:50 > 0:15:54it's a feel-good company, it's nothing too wacky.

0:15:54 > 0:15:58And your target range is 25 to 54?

0:15:58 > 0:16:00Our demographic is men and women,

0:16:00 > 0:16:03split about 50/50, ages 25 to 54,

0:16:03 > 0:16:06income 70,000 or more.

0:16:06 > 0:16:10But early adopters, people that want the latest technology.

0:16:10 > 0:16:13It was very good. We understood what he wanted.

0:16:13 > 0:16:15- Enjoy your day. It was a pleasure to meet you all.- Thank you.

0:16:15 > 0:16:18- I look forward to the presentation. - Thank you so very much.

0:16:18 > 0:16:21'And I let my thoughts rise up to the occasion.'

0:16:21 > 0:16:27Spontaneity comes from an invisible idea, before the creation begins.

0:16:27 > 0:16:31And there's three things you have to be to have that spontaneity come

0:16:31 > 0:16:35naturally - clear, vulnerable and yet open.

0:16:35 > 0:16:37What are you thinking, guys?

0:16:37 > 0:16:41Maybe you can start out talking to the appliances.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43And that wouldn't go well.

0:16:43 > 0:16:47Maybe something like they do all the housework from the couch.

0:16:47 > 0:16:49I don't think that'll work.

0:16:49 > 0:16:51What if Dad is doing nothing

0:16:51 > 0:16:54and then she demos everything she's doing with the phone...

0:16:54 > 0:16:57OK, hold it right there. Let's not go any farther.

0:16:57 > 0:17:02'I had three, admittedly half-baked, concepts,

0:17:02 > 0:17:06'but Gary had surprisingly little interest.'

0:17:06 > 0:17:10He didn't let me get out any of my ideas. None of them.

0:17:10 > 0:17:12What if it was like a '50s family

0:17:12 > 0:17:16- that has just come into this world? - Sh, sh. Be quiet.

0:17:17 > 0:17:20- But I'm just telling you...- Hey, honey, slow down with your words.

0:17:20 > 0:17:23- Don't talk, right? It'd be good just to...- OK, I'm not talking.

0:17:23 > 0:17:26All right, I won't talk.

0:17:26 > 0:17:28'It was hard coming up with a concept.

0:17:28 > 0:17:31- 'Gary didn't want to hear our ideas.'- Sh, sh.

0:17:31 > 0:17:34We would start and then Gary would be like, "No..."

0:17:34 > 0:17:36So it is challenging.

0:17:36 > 0:17:40Here's what I feel. This is the smartest stuff I've seen.

0:17:40 > 0:17:42What will LG do next?

0:17:42 > 0:17:46You'll hear Dad say, "They're going to create a mechanical dog."

0:17:46 > 0:17:51- OK.- A mechanical dog is the next thing LG's going to make.

0:17:51 > 0:17:54Do you act like a dog after you say "mechanical dog"?

0:17:54 > 0:17:56Oh, yeah.

0:17:56 > 0:17:57HE BARKS

0:17:57 > 0:17:59And I'm going to go down on all fours.

0:17:59 > 0:18:02HE BARKS

0:18:02 > 0:18:07HE GROWLS AND SPLUTTERS

0:18:07 > 0:18:13And you start moving around crazy and maybe humping the coffee table.

0:18:13 > 0:18:17'Gary wants to play a crazy person who turns into a mechanical dog.

0:18:17 > 0:18:20'It is nothing to do with the product.'

0:18:20 > 0:18:23He is literally barking mad.

0:18:23 > 0:18:25I don't know what to do.

0:18:25 > 0:18:27He certainly doesn't want to hear from us.

0:18:27 > 0:18:28I've tried to put my two cents in

0:18:28 > 0:18:31many a time and he's really been very disrespectful to me.

0:18:31 > 0:18:34I'm just trying to help, I'm just trying to give my two cents but he

0:18:34 > 0:18:36does not want to hear it, so...

0:18:36 > 0:18:40- The problems are deeper than his respect for you. - It's deeper than that.

0:18:40 > 0:18:44- Mechanical dog's a bigger problem than telling you to shut up.- I know.

0:18:44 > 0:18:47Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man.

0:18:51 > 0:18:55- Hi, are you the crew?- I'm Paul, the director of photography.- Hi, Paul.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02Lisa, Penn, are you guys satisfied, happy?

0:19:02 > 0:19:06Well, the mechanical dog certainly made me laugh but I'm worried about

0:19:06 > 0:19:08the overall idea.

0:19:08 > 0:19:10'Our task was to make a demonstrational video

0:19:10 > 0:19:14'but Gary latched on to the mechanical dog idea.

0:19:14 > 0:19:16'He is project manager

0:19:16 > 0:19:20'but his vision and LG's vision'

0:19:20 > 0:19:23do not overlap in any way, shape or form.

0:19:23 > 0:19:25I would love to be wrong on this.

0:19:25 > 0:19:29I'm completely behind you, and no way undermines my commitment.

0:19:29 > 0:19:33I want you to feel in agreement, your heart with mine.

0:19:33 > 0:19:36I am feeling you don't have complete confidence in me.

0:19:36 > 0:19:40I don't. Is it possible when I see it, I'll understand it better?

0:19:40 > 0:19:43- Yeah.- If that's what you see, I'm behind you.

0:19:43 > 0:19:46'There is a chance that what Gary is seeing is brilliant

0:19:46 > 0:19:50'and they're going to love it. But I think we're hunting Moby Dick.'

0:19:50 > 0:19:55It's a bad idea and Ahab's in charge and he's gone mad.

0:19:55 > 0:19:58- Lisa, do you not like the script? - You don't really want my input.

0:19:58 > 0:20:00- That's the truth.- Yes, I do.

0:20:00 > 0:20:03- You said that we're going with the mechanical dog.- I know. I like that.

0:20:03 > 0:20:05Well, exactly. So we accepted that.

0:20:05 > 0:20:08And if you ask me if that's my favourite thing, then no.

0:20:08 > 0:20:11- Slow down, guys. Don't be angry with me.- We're not, we're just saying...

0:20:11 > 0:20:13Well, you're yelling and you're talking to me like I'm an idiot

0:20:13 > 0:20:15- and I'm not.- No.

0:20:15 > 0:20:17'Penn and Lisa don't want to be a part of what I'm doing

0:20:17 > 0:20:21'as project manager. You're given the ingredients to make a cake

0:20:21 > 0:20:23'and some of the ingredients'

0:20:23 > 0:20:25refuse to come into the cake,

0:20:25 > 0:20:26you won't have a good cake.

0:20:26 > 0:20:30When you know the team has abandoned you in that way, it hurts.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33I come out with people talking to me like they're talking down to me...

0:20:33 > 0:20:36Gary, I never felt like I was talking down to you.

0:20:36 > 0:20:38- If...- Those are my feelings.

0:20:38 > 0:20:41I know, and I'm saying I'm sorry if you thought that.

0:20:41 > 0:20:44- Gary...- Well, don't interrupt... Please don't interrupt me.

0:20:44 > 0:20:46Gary, you have to be... OK, if you don't want to talk to me,

0:20:46 > 0:20:49you have to be really honest. You've shushed me a lot today.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52- I can't even talk to you with you. - You can talk to me.

0:20:52 > 0:20:53But you're not listening.

0:20:53 > 0:20:56'I feel like a salmon swimming upstream sometimes,

0:20:56 > 0:20:58'working with Lisa.'

0:20:58 > 0:21:00I feel moved out of the way,

0:21:00 > 0:21:01the same way I felt two years ago

0:21:01 > 0:21:04with Meat Loaf and John Rich and Mark McGrath,

0:21:04 > 0:21:07that they didn't want me a part of it.

0:21:07 > 0:21:10- What would you like me to listen to? - Just that...- We have work to do.

0:21:10 > 0:21:12You see? There you go again.

0:21:12 > 0:21:17I just would like to have sensitive cooperation, and the tone of voice

0:21:17 > 0:21:19you use to me and not criticise me.

0:21:19 > 0:21:22I'm sorry that you felt that, I really am,

0:21:22 > 0:21:24because I was really feeling like I was supporting you, saying,

0:21:24 > 0:21:26"This is what you do best."

0:21:26 > 0:21:29But you confrontated me very viciously.

0:21:29 > 0:21:30I'm sorry that you felt that.

0:21:30 > 0:21:32- That was very hard on me. - OK, then let's start afresh.

0:21:32 > 0:21:35- You know I love you.- Apologise... - And I support you...- And don't do...

0:21:35 > 0:21:38- I will not do that to you, don't do it to me any more.- I hear you.

0:21:38 > 0:21:42I want to be here and support you. Let's get to work.

0:21:42 > 0:21:46I want to work. I want to make this the best we can make it.

0:21:46 > 0:21:48- 'Gary is- bat BLEEP- crazy, period, end of story.

0:21:48 > 0:21:52'You know, I don't like being shushed but we're a team.'

0:21:52 > 0:21:54I'm just going to stand up there

0:21:54 > 0:21:59and support him and let him share his vision. It's all I can do.

0:21:59 > 0:22:03- Let me help you, whatever you need. - Well, thanks for listening to me.

0:22:03 > 0:22:05Any time. Let's go forward.

0:22:07 > 0:22:09Marilu, I think this is for you.

0:22:09 > 0:22:11I know it's not for me!

0:22:13 > 0:22:15You eat what food eats!

0:22:15 > 0:22:17OK, so this is what I'm thinking.

0:22:17 > 0:22:19It's a lot of stuff to display.

0:22:19 > 0:22:21We might just need to keep it simple as hell,

0:22:21 > 0:22:23cos there's going to be a lot to show.

0:22:23 > 0:22:26'The executive meeting highlighted a bunch of points.'

0:22:26 > 0:22:29It's about demonstrating the use of the products.

0:22:29 > 0:22:32We got products we've got to highlight.

0:22:32 > 0:22:34I got to figure out how to incorporate the product slogans.

0:22:34 > 0:22:37Come up to the table, everybody, sit your asses down,

0:22:37 > 0:22:38let's get this script done.

0:22:38 > 0:22:42I think an old lady telling her college student grandkids about

0:22:42 > 0:22:46all the new-fangled gadgets that she's learned how to operate.

0:22:46 > 0:22:49- Yeah, yeah, yeah.- It's fast, it's easy.- In my real world, my son,

0:22:49 > 0:22:52who's the real techie in the family, just left for college.

0:22:52 > 0:22:53So I'm, like, in the dark.

0:22:53 > 0:22:56And so now... Let's say he's coming home for the first time,

0:22:56 > 0:22:59it's like the mislead of, you think that she's missed him

0:22:59 > 0:23:02- because of that but he... You know.- He comes home

0:23:02 > 0:23:03and he has no idea...

0:23:03 > 0:23:06..how to work anything and she's like, "Oh, this, this and this."

0:23:06 > 0:23:07She's like, "Boom, boom, boom."

0:23:07 > 0:23:10That's what I think. You just do that twist, you know,

0:23:10 > 0:23:13where the shoe is on the other foot.

0:23:13 > 0:23:17- I definitely agree with that. - And you could do it.- Yeah.

0:23:17 > 0:23:21- Commercials. Yeah.- We've got an award-winning actress sitting here.

0:23:21 > 0:23:25'I've been an actress for so many years.'

0:23:25 > 0:23:27I've done 78 different commercials,

0:23:27 > 0:23:29so I'm very good with product and stuff.

0:23:29 > 0:23:33You know, I'm a mom of two teenage boys, so it's perfectly cast.

0:23:33 > 0:23:37You've got to think, is Gary... I know they're going to be a mess!

0:23:37 > 0:23:39THEY LAUGH

0:23:43 > 0:23:45OK, lay it on us, chief.

0:23:45 > 0:23:50Housewife is here and then she stops at the stove and have her say to her

0:23:50 > 0:23:54daughter, "Remember what life was without this."

0:23:54 > 0:23:56'I have a very creative imagination.'

0:23:56 > 0:23:58It seems hard for my team-mates

0:23:58 > 0:24:02to be on the same page of creativity with me but I went ahead

0:24:02 > 0:24:05with my idea and I did it myself, without support from them.

0:24:05 > 0:24:08The daughter and mother will go through there,

0:24:08 > 0:24:09the camera will follow them here.

0:24:09 > 0:24:15I would like to have the camera do a whip pan and then at the end of the

0:24:15 > 0:24:19whip pan, "They're going to create a mechanical dog."

0:24:19 > 0:24:23OK. Gary just spewed out images.

0:24:23 > 0:24:26'The energy to just understand'

0:24:26 > 0:24:30is much more energy than writing 15 scripts

0:24:30 > 0:24:32from scratch by myself for LG.

0:24:32 > 0:24:34"They're going to create a mechanical dog"

0:24:34 > 0:24:38- is sort of the joke punchline of that first section?- Yeah.

0:24:38 > 0:24:41OK. And then it's going to go...

0:24:41 > 0:24:44It also gives people to think...

0:24:44 > 0:24:46"LG could probably do that."

0:24:46 > 0:24:49'We were trying to really be there for Gary. We really were.'

0:24:49 > 0:24:55'He is an Academy Award-nominated actor and he's a mad genius.'

0:24:55 > 0:24:58Maybe this is so creative

0:24:58 > 0:25:02and outside the box that the LG executives will go,

0:25:02 > 0:25:03"This is fabulous!"

0:25:03 > 0:25:06Do you want me to type up what you just said here?

0:25:06 > 0:25:10Yeah. I just want us all to be able to catch what I'm saying

0:25:10 > 0:25:13- in a basket, so that we can put it together like a good puzzle. - I'm listening.

0:25:15 > 0:25:16'I was an unwilling typist.

0:25:16 > 0:25:20'I had nothing to do with the idea, I did no writing whatsoever.'

0:25:20 > 0:25:24There was not a sentence in there that I created.

0:25:24 > 0:25:26Danielle's in the other room.

0:25:26 > 0:25:28"They're going to create a mechanical dog.

0:25:28 > 0:25:30"He barks, gets on all fours.

0:25:30 > 0:25:33"Thank God for LG.

0:25:33 > 0:25:36"If it wasn't for LG, I'd be a mechanical dog..."

0:25:36 > 0:25:40- HE LAUGHS - "..for the rest of my life!"

0:25:40 > 0:25:44There was no mission statement for what the 90 seconds was going to be.

0:25:44 > 0:25:48There was no idea. There was no tone.

0:25:48 > 0:25:51That's where we are. That's where the wheels come off and burned.

0:25:51 > 0:25:55I don't understand! I don't understand it at all!

0:26:05 > 0:26:08- Jeremy and...- Justin.- Justin. So you guys are our actors.

0:26:08 > 0:26:12You're going to be playing my son you're going to be playing his friend.

0:26:12 > 0:26:16- What I thought it would be cool to be like...- OK.

0:26:16 > 0:26:19So this is probably a good shot, so you can get that in the background.

0:26:19 > 0:26:22'I'm the guy that makes music,'

0:26:22 > 0:26:25but I've been on a lot of video sets.

0:26:25 > 0:26:29You can do an over-the-shoulder shot here of the mom and the son here.

0:26:29 > 0:26:32'We know Gary might fall apart on this one.'

0:26:32 > 0:26:34But I'm not counting on that.

0:26:34 > 0:26:37I'm going to still try to create the best product I can create.

0:26:37 > 0:26:40Twist your body just a little bit to the right.

0:26:40 > 0:26:43Marilu out of focus on the beat, yeah, let's split the difference.

0:26:53 > 0:26:56- Hello, hello, hello. Good to see you.- Hello, how are you?

0:26:56 > 0:26:58Very, very good, very good.

0:26:58 > 0:26:59'It was good to see Joan.

0:26:59 > 0:27:02'People can see whatever they want to say about Joan Rivers,'

0:27:02 > 0:27:06but it's been my experience with her that she's just been a gem.

0:27:06 > 0:27:08- Who's playing Mamma? - Who do you think?

0:27:08 > 0:27:12- Too young. Too young. - I have a son in college.

0:27:12 > 0:27:15- Wait. Do you want to know something? - You don't look tired.

0:27:15 > 0:27:16You look too good.

0:27:16 > 0:27:20- Come on over here, I'll let you know what's going on.- OK, OK.

0:27:20 > 0:27:22We're getting ready to start shooting now.

0:27:22 > 0:27:25- We've got the other filter in? You want to step in?- OK.

0:27:25 > 0:27:29Let me see what it is brighter, and if not, we can settle right here.

0:27:29 > 0:27:31A little brighter, just to see.

0:27:31 > 0:27:33Better.

0:27:33 > 0:27:36All right, let's shoot it. Settle all around, please.

0:27:36 > 0:27:38- Action.- What's up with the glasses?

0:27:38 > 0:27:41- They are 3D glasses. - Wait, wait, wait, cut.

0:27:41 > 0:27:44You've got to go half on that light, that's a little bright.

0:27:44 > 0:27:48- Let's do it again.- I think they are using their talents very well.

0:27:48 > 0:27:50I love that they put Marilu in it.

0:27:50 > 0:27:54Cut. One thing I need is a light right here on this side of his face.

0:27:54 > 0:27:59But they are wasting so much time on little things.

0:27:59 > 0:28:02I mean, it's not Lawrence Of Arabia that they're doing.

0:28:02 > 0:28:03Let me see that filter in it.

0:28:03 > 0:28:08Turn the light back on. Yeah, I don't know about this. Too dark now.

0:28:08 > 0:28:11I want to say, "Lil Jon, you're not Alfred Hitchcock,

0:28:11 > 0:28:13"get it in the can."

0:28:13 > 0:28:14Let's hurry up. We gotta move.

0:28:14 > 0:28:16HE SIGHS

0:28:22 > 0:28:25- Our actors are here.- I'm Gary Busey. - Gary, nice to meet you.

0:28:25 > 0:28:28I'm playing your father.

0:28:28 > 0:28:30'The actors showed up.

0:28:30 > 0:28:35'Gary had surprisingly picked two women of the same age

0:28:35 > 0:28:37'to play his wife and his daughter.'

0:28:37 > 0:28:41Some sort of weird Mormon sister-wife thing, which was creepy.

0:28:41 > 0:28:44Acting is the absence of acting.

0:28:44 > 0:28:48I've been doing this 42 years, professionally.

0:28:48 > 0:28:52So I'm just so happy I chose you.

0:28:52 > 0:28:54I don't choose you.

0:28:54 > 0:28:56The spirit of the word chooses you.

0:28:56 > 0:28:58And I know the performances

0:28:58 > 0:29:03and the joy of your emotions you will give to this little short film

0:29:03 > 0:29:06lives 5,000 miles past heaven.

0:29:06 > 0:29:09And that's a beautiful place they have.

0:29:09 > 0:29:13I sat the actors down and talked to them about what I learned

0:29:13 > 0:29:14in my 43-year experience.

0:29:14 > 0:29:18'I gave them an advanced adventure and we had clarity,'

0:29:18 > 0:29:21their vulnerability and openness, and I've been very nice,

0:29:21 > 0:29:23I've been very nice.

0:29:23 > 0:29:25I've been out of my body twice.

0:29:25 > 0:29:29And I stopped breathing for eight minutes.

0:29:29 > 0:29:33I was told by Henry Crow Dog, a Brule medicine man, years ago,

0:29:33 > 0:29:37"When you leave your body, don't get too far away from it,

0:29:37 > 0:29:41"cos you might not find a way back."

0:29:41 > 0:29:44Sat up in my bed, out of a chest of drawers sitting against the wall,

0:29:44 > 0:29:48shot three silver arrows right by my right ear,

0:29:48 > 0:29:51three times in five seconds.

0:29:51 > 0:29:55So...that's a story about freedom, being vulnerable and open

0:29:55 > 0:29:58the power of your heart shocker.

0:29:58 > 0:30:01OK! This is Lisa Rinna.

0:30:01 > 0:30:03She's brilliant. Brilliant in every way.

0:30:03 > 0:30:06Lisa used to be about as smart as a bag of hair,

0:30:06 > 0:30:10but she's so educated now, she's so brilliant now.

0:30:10 > 0:30:14- That's a very high compliment from Mr Busey.- Yes, I'd surely mean it.

0:30:14 > 0:30:17So God knows what will happen to you today.

0:30:17 > 0:30:20'I think Gary has a lack of respect for me.

0:30:20 > 0:30:23'I didn't take it personally.'

0:30:23 > 0:30:26I think Gary is Gary.

0:30:26 > 0:30:30What you say is like, "Oh, this is great, I have so much freedom,

0:30:30 > 0:30:33"I can spend more time with my fiance, Johnny,

0:30:33 > 0:30:35- "with Johnny, my fiance." - I'm guessing you're my fiance.

0:30:35 > 0:30:40- He's your fiance, really?- No, no. - What did you say?- I'm sorry.

0:30:40 > 0:30:43The beautiful thing about LG is it brings the family together

0:30:43 > 0:30:48and stops chaos, and I used the family - mother, dad, daughter,

0:30:48 > 0:30:52'son, so it shows a family integrating with the LG smartphone.'

0:30:52 > 0:30:56If you have to fart, fart quick, but keep your energy up.

0:30:56 > 0:30:59- Scene one alpha, take one, marker. - Action.

0:30:59 > 0:31:02Honey, tonight is TV night for the family,

0:31:02 > 0:31:05and I want to know when I can turn the Blu-ray on.

0:31:05 > 0:31:07'I persevered and I went ahead

0:31:07 > 0:31:10'with my idea, and I did feel alone'

0:31:10 > 0:31:14but it's not bad being alone, cos I'm never alone,

0:31:14 > 0:31:20I have a lot of love and support, so I'm fine.

0:31:20 > 0:31:21Eh.

0:31:21 > 0:31:23Filming a product is very important.

0:31:23 > 0:31:25You guys, can you move?

0:31:25 > 0:31:28I love you to death. Make sure you move out of the set.

0:31:28 > 0:31:30- Don't push him.- I didn't.- You did.

0:31:30 > 0:31:33'Gary started to get aggressive with the crew.'

0:31:33 > 0:31:36You don't push someone out of the way.

0:31:36 > 0:31:39I'm sorry, don't touch another person's body.

0:31:39 > 0:31:42When you have something to say to me like that, say it to me in private.

0:31:42 > 0:31:45- OK.- Because I just took his hand and moved it.

0:31:45 > 0:31:47- Just say to me privately.- I will.

0:31:49 > 0:31:51- Gary?- What?

0:31:56 > 0:31:57Three minutes, we've got to do this.

0:31:57 > 0:32:01- Is everybody ready?- Yeah. - Roll camera, action.

0:32:01 > 0:32:03Mom, I'm home.

0:32:03 > 0:32:07My baby is home! Hey!

0:32:07 > 0:32:11- Let's try when he just comes in and sit down and you just pinch his cheeks.- Yeah.- Say, "My baby's home."

0:32:11 > 0:32:13Yeah, that might be better for you.

0:32:13 > 0:32:15My baby's home from college!

0:32:15 > 0:32:17One more, let's do it again.

0:32:17 > 0:32:21The first shot I think took most of the day to get.

0:32:21 > 0:32:24- My baby's home! Hey! - What's with the glasses?

0:32:24 > 0:32:28- They're 3D.- All right, let's do one for safety.

0:32:28 > 0:32:32'Because we had to showcase the TV, as well as the phone,

0:32:32 > 0:32:34'you've got to get different angles.'

0:32:34 > 0:32:37We'll just shoot it from here. Just move the camera right here.

0:32:37 > 0:32:42- Sure thing.- But that sets up divide in the main part of the commercial.

0:32:42 > 0:32:45- We've got a lot of stuff to shoot. - Trace, give that to me again.

0:32:45 > 0:32:48New LG. It's the next-generation 3D TV.

0:32:48 > 0:32:49Oh, that's easier to remember.

0:32:49 > 0:32:53Marilu can look at a script and she has that memory where she can just

0:32:53 > 0:32:58read through a line a couple of times and then nail it in the scene.

0:32:58 > 0:32:59It's really uncanny.

0:32:59 > 0:33:03Duh, they're for our new LG Cinema 3D Smart TV,

0:33:03 > 0:33:06the next-generation 3D TV.

0:33:06 > 0:33:08That was great. Cut.

0:33:08 > 0:33:10- She's so good.- That was great.

0:33:10 > 0:33:12It's like you've done this before.

0:33:12 > 0:33:14Not my first time at the rodeo.

0:33:14 > 0:33:16Experience.

0:33:16 > 0:33:18'Directing Marilu was awesome.'

0:33:18 > 0:33:22She was so good, I feel like it was no other actors we could have hired

0:33:22 > 0:33:24that would have done that role as good as she did.

0:33:24 > 0:33:27This is the most tedious part, is this first section.

0:33:31 > 0:33:35Jon, he and I both have made a lot of music videos, you know,

0:33:35 > 0:33:38I've probably made 30-plus, I don't know how many Jon has made,

0:33:38 > 0:33:41but I've had some experience doing this stuff.

0:33:45 > 0:33:49If you go and start editing them together, we'll be damn near done.

0:33:49 > 0:33:52But by the time we get away we'll probably be finished.

0:33:52 > 0:33:55I think it sounds real good.

0:33:55 > 0:33:57- Yeah. Go ahead.- OK.- Approved.

0:33:57 > 0:33:59In these type of tests, you generally...

0:33:59 > 0:34:01We don't have much time.

0:34:01 > 0:34:03All right, I'm going to go start editing.

0:34:03 > 0:34:05- That way we'll be ahead of the game. - Excellent, OK.

0:34:05 > 0:34:07- Yeah.- Thanks, hon.- Yeah.

0:34:07 > 0:34:09A lot of directors make mistakes in these type of tasks,

0:34:09 > 0:34:12where you shoot too long and don't get your ass to the edit,

0:34:12 > 0:34:16so we're going to send Trace along early to get started on the video.

0:34:16 > 0:34:18Figure out this next angle.

0:34:18 > 0:34:22Just make a grocery list that you can connect with your phone.

0:34:22 > 0:34:23Yeah!

0:34:23 > 0:34:26Awesome. Let's get one shot of her just holding the phone up.

0:34:26 > 0:34:29I've just got to get one little close-up of that again. Boom.

0:34:29 > 0:34:33We just need the washer and dryer names and the refrigerator name.

0:34:33 > 0:34:36A lot of product shots, a lot of close-up of the products,

0:34:36 > 0:34:39a lot of showing the products used.

0:34:39 > 0:34:44You can never have too much branding and I want to do a good job

0:34:44 > 0:34:47and impress the executives. Who knows, they might give me a job

0:34:47 > 0:34:49at LG doing marketing.

0:34:49 > 0:34:51Hint, hint.

0:34:51 > 0:34:53That was great, let's do, like, two more of those.

0:34:56 > 0:35:00The next thing LG is going to create is a mechanical dog.

0:35:00 > 0:35:03HE YELPS AND GROWLS

0:35:03 > 0:35:05You get me, you get me quick.

0:35:05 > 0:35:06HE YELPS AND GROWLS

0:35:06 > 0:35:09You get me, physically, push me back in the chair.

0:35:09 > 0:35:12"Anything associated with LG should have a sense of warm optimism,

0:35:12 > 0:35:17"confidence and a sophisticated premium quality tone."

0:35:17 > 0:35:20Well, wow, we're hitting that on the nose, aren't we(?)

0:35:20 > 0:35:23Not even slightly.

0:35:23 > 0:35:27'You know, at this point it's hard to be positive.'

0:35:27 > 0:35:31You know, like I have this little bit of hope that

0:35:31 > 0:35:35because it's so out of this world,

0:35:35 > 0:35:38creatively cuckoo bird crazy,

0:35:38 > 0:35:40like maybe...

0:35:40 > 0:35:43But we've lost so much time.

0:35:43 > 0:35:46You both laughed. Don't want to embarrass yourself laughing.

0:35:46 > 0:35:49- It's like...- OK.

0:35:49 > 0:35:55We have an otherworldly being in our team and he is hard to harness.

0:35:55 > 0:35:58- 5:05.- So we have exactly two hours.

0:35:58 > 0:36:01- Gary, let's shoot.- Who yelled? - Let's shoot, let's shoot.

0:36:01 > 0:36:05- Let me decide that. - OK.- Absolutely.- Yes, sir.

0:36:05 > 0:36:09I know how to deal with crazy. I'm not sure I know how to deal with THIS right now.

0:36:09 > 0:36:11Gary, you've got to go. Gary, you've got to go.

0:36:11 > 0:36:13Gary, you've got to shoot.

0:36:13 > 0:36:17Penn and I, we kept to our job and we tried to stay focused.

0:36:17 > 0:36:20At that time he's not right for them picking each other up down there by

0:36:20 > 0:36:22- the washing machine.- OK.

0:36:22 > 0:36:27I want it to go flow, flow, so it's all... Like seaweed.

0:36:27 > 0:36:31But it was a losing battle. There was just nothing you could do.

0:36:35 > 0:36:39- How's it going?- How are you? - How's the commercial going, guys?

0:36:39 > 0:36:42Penn looks seriously concerned. What's going on?

0:36:42 > 0:36:45We may not have any video at all tomorrow.

0:36:45 > 0:36:48- Why?- We have half an hour

0:36:48 > 0:36:51- and we haven't shot much of what we need to shoot.- Do you have

0:36:51 > 0:36:53a storyline, a cohesive storyline?

0:36:53 > 0:36:57We have a storyline that is odd.

0:36:57 > 0:36:59'The minute I walked in the room,

0:36:59 > 0:37:02'they just couldn't wait to tell me about the experience that they were

0:37:02 > 0:37:05'currently suffering through with Gary.'

0:37:05 > 0:37:09Plan B seems to have descended into a state of total chaos.

0:37:09 > 0:37:12- What will LG come up with next? - A mechanical dog!

0:37:12 > 0:37:15- HE BARKS - Dad, stop!

0:37:15 > 0:37:17HE YELPS AND GROWLS

0:37:20 > 0:37:21Cut.

0:37:21 > 0:37:24So was the mechanical dog barking or throwing up?

0:37:24 > 0:37:26HE YELPS AND GROWLS

0:37:26 > 0:37:30They'll have something on tape. It may be a vomiting dog.

0:37:30 > 0:37:33With that said, I think Penn and Lisa have checked out,

0:37:33 > 0:37:35they've just taken a back-seat.

0:37:35 > 0:37:38I think it's a bit of a risky strategy, cos they'll all be in

0:37:38 > 0:37:40the boardroom at the end of the day if they lose.

0:37:40 > 0:37:43- I'm going to have the mechanical dog in the boardroom.- Perfect.

0:37:43 > 0:37:47- It'll be me. - Perfect, I look forward to it.- OK.

0:37:53 > 0:37:56You did great. I'm so glad we got to work together.

0:37:56 > 0:38:01We got a lot of pushing the buttons and showing how to use the product.

0:38:01 > 0:38:02We're done with the video,

0:38:02 > 0:38:06it's time for myself and Marilu to jet-set over to the edit.

0:38:06 > 0:38:08Ping, ping, ping.

0:38:10 > 0:38:15- OK.- Let's use the other one to just pop in the very beginning.

0:38:15 > 0:38:19- OK.- '..the LG Cinema 3D Smart TV.'

0:38:19 > 0:38:22- That was a good one right there.- OK.

0:38:22 > 0:38:25- We're here now. - I might need my shot list.

0:38:25 > 0:38:28I got it, I got all that stuff in the back.

0:38:29 > 0:38:33So, Ron, you just do it real good and make it look like I did it.

0:38:33 > 0:38:34OK.

0:38:35 > 0:38:37- Hello.- Here we go.

0:38:37 > 0:38:41- How is it looking, guys?- Looks good. - Looking good.- It does?

0:38:41 > 0:38:45Trace coming over here early, it saved me probably an hour or two,

0:38:45 > 0:38:49cos when we got there they were loading up the last bit of footage.

0:38:49 > 0:38:52'Your dad and I have discovered LG. Life's good.

0:38:52 > 0:38:54'Want to see what else it does?'

0:38:54 > 0:38:57Oh, that was good!

0:38:57 > 0:39:01'We are in a good place, because the parts that Trace actually laid out

0:39:01 > 0:39:04'was part of the meat and potatoes of the commercial,'

0:39:04 > 0:39:06so it was great it had been done.

0:39:06 > 0:39:08'And with our new LG refrigerator...'

0:39:08 > 0:39:11Oh, my God, can we blow out my face a little? It looks so bad.

0:39:11 > 0:39:15- Look how bad I look.- They're not going to see it.- Yes, they are.

0:39:15 > 0:39:19- They are not going to see that. - Oh, Lord.

0:39:19 > 0:39:21Marilu, come on, really?

0:39:21 > 0:39:23You can see I was using my right hand and I did it,

0:39:23 > 0:39:25I thought I took my glasses off before that.

0:39:25 > 0:39:28Well, we aren't even there right now, we're just lining it up.

0:39:28 > 0:39:31- OK.- She was paying attention to too much stuff that didn't even

0:39:31 > 0:39:32doggone matter.

0:39:32 > 0:39:36- As soon as she started to turn that phone, cut right to the phone.- OK.

0:39:36 > 0:39:39'..that you can connect with your phone.'

0:39:39 > 0:39:43'I don't stress over the details. Like, all of the details,

0:39:43 > 0:39:45'to me it's all about the branding, marketing.'

0:39:45 > 0:39:46MUSICAL JINGLE ON VIDEO

0:39:46 > 0:39:49Yeah, let's make sure that that's the right sound, though.

0:39:49 > 0:39:53You've got to do a reaction while you're hearing it. Or something.

0:39:53 > 0:39:56The thing with Marilu, she comes pre-wound.

0:39:56 > 0:39:58'She'll get obsessed with something.'

0:39:58 > 0:39:59You know what it is?

0:39:59 > 0:40:02- Oh, never mind.- What?- Nothing.

0:40:02 > 0:40:06You almost have to give her that old spy slap across the face, you know,

0:40:06 > 0:40:09- to get her out of it. - The logo at the end.

0:40:09 > 0:40:13That was already done... We're not that far yet.

0:40:13 > 0:40:19"Why don't you send me a text with your brand-new LG smartphone?"

0:40:19 > 0:40:21Slow down, Marilu.

0:40:21 > 0:40:24'The producer had to deal with all types of people, personalities,

0:40:24 > 0:40:25'energies. I think, Marilu,'

0:40:25 > 0:40:28you can just tell her brain is going, going, going.

0:40:28 > 0:40:30You've just got to roll with it.

0:40:30 > 0:40:34- All right, let's throw this music in.- 'A grocery list...

0:40:34 > 0:40:40'that you can connect with your phone. Say cheese. Life's good.'

0:40:40 > 0:40:41No, look at that on the LG.

0:40:41 > 0:40:44Dude, this is Lil Jon Spielberg.

0:40:47 > 0:40:48I feel really good, I really do.

0:40:48 > 0:40:50'I feel Lil Jon has done a good job

0:41:11 > 0:41:12Did you put the inserts in?

0:41:12 > 0:41:15You have to have the cellphone, you have to have the fridge.

0:41:15 > 0:41:17Insert?

0:41:17 > 0:41:20# Di-di-di-di-di-di-di. # I don't know if I like that.

0:41:20 > 0:41:24It does not fit with my calibration properly, in a tuning way.

0:41:24 > 0:41:26I don't know what that means.

0:41:26 > 0:41:29The editing process, because Gary didn't really do coverage,

0:41:29 > 0:41:32there was no editing to do.

0:41:32 > 0:41:36'But mostly what was happening was I was going further up the river of

0:41:36 > 0:41:39'darkness than anyone ever has on Celebrity Apprentice.'

0:41:41 > 0:41:44- What will LG think of next? - A mechanical dog!

0:41:44 > 0:41:47GARY YELPS AND GROWLS

0:41:49 > 0:41:52When I said I didn't like it, he said I'm not being supportive.

0:41:52 > 0:41:56- But he's happy with it.- I know, he loves it.- And that's the problem.

0:41:56 > 0:41:59If he thought we were in trouble, we could maybe fix it.

0:41:59 > 0:42:01I don't know what's up and what's down

0:42:01 > 0:42:04and what's left and what's right.

0:42:04 > 0:42:07To put it together is as crazy as watching it being filmed.

0:42:07 > 0:42:09You just want to go...

0:42:12 > 0:42:15THEY LAUGH

0:42:15 > 0:42:20If we were playing Russian roulette, at least we'd have a chance.

0:42:20 > 0:42:22I don't think there's any chance LG will understand we did our best.

0:42:22 > 0:42:25I wouldn't. I'd be pissed.

0:42:25 > 0:42:28'But I gave my word to Gary

0:42:28 > 0:42:31'that I would see his vision through to the end,'

0:42:31 > 0:42:36and let the record show that Lisa and I made a promise

0:42:36 > 0:42:41to our project manager that was kept 100%.

0:42:44 > 0:42:46How do you like it?

0:42:46 > 0:42:49It's crazy, it's just out.

0:42:49 > 0:42:51I hope they find it funny.

0:42:51 > 0:42:53Yeah.

0:42:53 > 0:42:56I think and feel and know they will.

0:42:56 > 0:42:59- OK.- There's some turns in that story.

0:42:59 > 0:43:01It's going to be completely unexpected to them.

0:43:01 > 0:43:04It IS unexpected.

0:43:04 > 0:43:06There's no doubt about that.

0:43:06 > 0:43:08I love what we did in every way.

0:43:08 > 0:43:10I'm very happy with it.

0:43:10 > 0:43:13Well, it was very hard for us to imagine what you are trying for,

0:43:13 > 0:43:15and that's it, we helped you get it, right?

0:43:15 > 0:43:18Yes. It was just hard

0:43:18 > 0:43:21to get us all on the same page, but we're done with it.

0:43:21 > 0:43:25I did the best I could in a way...

0:43:25 > 0:43:27that honoured my truth

0:43:27 > 0:43:31and my artistic completion of this situation.

0:43:31 > 0:43:35- I'm very happy.- Good. That's what matters.- Yay.

0:43:51 > 0:43:55I think we've put together a great, fun demonstrational video,

0:43:55 > 0:44:00so hopefully the executive will love our presentation.

0:44:00 > 0:44:04- Good morning!- Good morning.

0:44:04 > 0:44:06First of all, I'm Jon.

0:44:06 > 0:44:09Say your name.

0:44:09 > 0:44:10- Marilu.- Trace.

0:44:10 > 0:44:12We are all Team Power.

0:44:12 > 0:44:16We had a great, great time creating this video for you guys.

0:44:16 > 0:44:19I kept thinking, oh, my gosh, my son just left for college

0:44:19 > 0:44:22and I'm so tech stupid I'm constantly calling him and saying,

0:44:22 > 0:44:23"Will you teach me how to do this?"

0:44:23 > 0:44:25I thought, I have to learn how to do this,

0:44:25 > 0:44:28and this is what I want in my home.

0:44:28 > 0:44:30And here we are.

0:44:30 > 0:44:34- Mom, I'm home. - My baby's home from college!

0:44:34 > 0:44:36What's up with the glasses?

0:44:36 > 0:44:40They're 3D glasses for our new LG Cinema 3D Smart TV.

0:44:40 > 0:44:42The next-generation 3D TV.

0:44:42 > 0:44:45Yeah, a lot's changed since you went to school.

0:44:45 > 0:44:48Your dad and I have discovered LG. Life's good.

0:44:48 > 0:44:52I can send an e-mail or even peep your Facebook status.

0:44:52 > 0:44:54Nice party last Friday night.

0:44:54 > 0:44:57The executive did not make any facial expression.

0:44:57 > 0:44:59He gave me nothing.

0:44:59 > 0:45:02I didn't even want to look at him no more. I was like,

0:45:02 > 0:45:06"Let me just look at the video. Oh!"

0:45:06 > 0:45:10And with our new LG refrigerator, no more of you and Dad

0:45:10 > 0:45:13standing in front with the door wide open to see what's inside.

0:45:13 > 0:45:16All you have to do is press that, and you see what's in there.

0:45:16 > 0:45:19And you can even see what recipes you can make from it.

0:45:19 > 0:45:24And if you're missing anything, you just make a grocery list...

0:45:24 > 0:45:27that you can connect with your phone.

0:45:27 > 0:45:29And with our new LG washer and dryer,

0:45:29 > 0:45:33I can monitor it with my LG Intuition smartphone.

0:45:33 > 0:45:35Oh, you guys look so cute.

0:45:35 > 0:45:37Say cheese.

0:45:37 > 0:45:39Life's good.

0:45:39 > 0:45:43We showed how it makes your life easier, using these LG products,

0:45:43 > 0:45:46and we show that anybody in the family can use these LG products.

0:45:46 > 0:45:49- That's our presentation for you. - Thank you.

0:45:49 > 0:45:52I really believe we won this.

0:45:52 > 0:45:55'But always with Gary you think there's a chance that he comes with'

0:45:55 > 0:46:02something that's so out of the box, which is Gary's reality...

0:46:02 > 0:46:06that the executives might just... It might just blow their minds.

0:46:06 > 0:46:09'He may have bull's-eyed it, you know. Who knows?'

0:46:20 > 0:46:23I feel great. We all worked together,

0:46:23 > 0:46:27regardless of the confrontations that happened during the task.

0:46:27 > 0:46:29'We did not lose.'

0:46:29 > 0:46:31And that's a fact in my heart.

0:46:31 > 0:46:37Good afternoon. The LG smartphone, I'd never heard of before,

0:46:37 > 0:46:39and when we got the task

0:46:39 > 0:46:43it opened my life to many ranges of expressions and achievements

0:46:43 > 0:46:46you could make with that little phone. It can deliver messages

0:46:46 > 0:46:50and create work in appliances in your home or out of your home

0:46:50 > 0:46:53or the next city, and it's small enough to fit in your pocket.

0:46:53 > 0:46:55I'm an early adopter.

0:46:55 > 0:46:56I buy all the stuff as it comes out.

0:46:56 > 0:46:59I was really intrigued by playing with this.

0:46:59 > 0:47:04It's a really wonderful device and also runs everything in your house,

0:47:04 > 0:47:07it will even run this TV. Here we go.

0:47:08 > 0:47:11Tonight's family TV night. When am I going to be able to turn

0:47:11 > 0:47:13- on the Blu-ray? - Go sit in your chair, honey.

0:47:13 > 0:47:16This won't take long with my SmartThinQ appliances.

0:47:16 > 0:47:20- I don't even have to write a grocery list.- Oh, my God, I love you.

0:47:20 > 0:47:22I love you, too.

0:47:22 > 0:47:24It's either the most horrific thing,

0:47:24 > 0:47:28or maybe possibly a stroke of genius.

0:47:28 > 0:47:32I hold out some little tiny speck of hope.

0:47:32 > 0:47:35Now I know what smart is. This is amazing.

0:47:35 > 0:47:38- How did we live without this?- LG SmartThinQ gives me so much time.

0:47:38 > 0:47:40I can work longer on my PhD

0:47:40 > 0:47:43and spend more time with my fiance in every way.

0:47:43 > 0:47:46- That's smart.- I can programme the washer and dryer with my LG phone.

0:47:46 > 0:47:48What will LG think of next?

0:47:48 > 0:47:50A mechanical dog!

0:47:50 > 0:47:52HE YELPS AND GROWLS

0:47:52 > 0:47:54Dad, stop! Last time you became a mechanical dog

0:47:54 > 0:47:57it lasted for two and a half days. Take this, take this.

0:47:57 > 0:47:59It'll make you smarter.

0:48:04 > 0:48:08'They enjoyed, especially Ivanka, the mechanical dog.'

0:48:08 > 0:48:11The reaction was very good in my heart, the way I felt it.

0:48:11 > 0:48:14Thanks to LG smartphone, if I didn't have this,

0:48:14 > 0:48:17I'd be a mechanical dog for the rest of my life.

0:48:17 > 0:48:22But I can tell you this, it makes me smarter when I don't think,

0:48:22 > 0:48:25so I say thank you, LG. Kate, what do you want to watch on TV?

0:48:25 > 0:48:28- Oh, 3D, something scary. - We did that this morning.

0:48:28 > 0:48:30Bob, what do you want to watch?

0:48:30 > 0:48:33I'd like to take it slow and let nature take me. That's smart.

0:48:39 > 0:48:42GARY IMITATES BEEPING

0:48:42 > 0:48:46Life's good when you live smart with LG.

0:48:47 > 0:48:49It's good and it's smart.

0:48:49 > 0:48:51LG with a smile.

0:48:51 > 0:48:55- Thank you very much.- Thank you. - Thank you.

0:48:55 > 0:48:59'I have no hope whatsoever of us winning the task. We're going down,'

0:48:59 > 0:49:02down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down.

0:49:14 > 0:49:16So, James, we saw two presentations. Tell me,

0:49:16 > 0:49:19what do you think generally, perhaps starting with Gary's team?

0:49:19 > 0:49:22I think their overall presentation was strong.

0:49:22 > 0:49:26- Mm-hm.- Their brand integration on the phone was very good.

0:49:26 > 0:49:30I think they maybe missed on some of the other categories.

0:49:30 > 0:49:32How did you feel about Gary's electronic dog

0:49:32 > 0:49:35- and the whole barking thing? - I really didn't understand what that

0:49:35 > 0:49:38- had to do with the video or any of the products.- I didn't know

0:49:38 > 0:49:40what he was talking about, the mechanical dog.

0:49:40 > 0:49:43To me, it sounded like the dog was vomiting, not barking.

0:49:43 > 0:49:46I was very confused by the whole thing. A sick mechanical dog!

0:49:46 > 0:49:50Including humour would have been great, if it would have landed.

0:49:50 > 0:49:52- I see, so you didn't think it was very funny.- I did not.

0:49:52 > 0:49:56The three speeches before they show us their video,

0:49:56 > 0:49:58does that count at all?

0:49:58 > 0:50:00Gary sold me when he spoke.

0:50:00 > 0:50:02Absolutely, I went, "I want one of those."

0:50:02 > 0:50:05- He talked... - He has an energy and passion.

0:50:05 > 0:50:10Very unusual. This technology is obviously life-changing for him.

0:50:10 > 0:50:12- Yes.- Did you feel that was sincere, though?

0:50:12 > 0:50:16- I felt it was sincere from Gary. - Mm-mm.- However,

0:50:16 > 0:50:19as they move through and some of the other celebrities began to speak,

0:50:19 > 0:50:23Penn's delivery and understanding of the technology,

0:50:23 > 0:50:26his reveal of the product, were all spot-on there.

0:50:26 > 0:50:30Who do you think was the star of Lil Jon's team, from interaction,

0:50:30 > 0:50:33both when they were meeting with you separately and here today?

0:50:33 > 0:50:37Yes, so during the briefing, Trace only said hello and goodbye to me.

0:50:37 > 0:50:40Marilu drove a lot of the questions.

0:50:40 > 0:50:43Lil Jon understood the product very well, but really,

0:50:43 > 0:50:46in terms of the presentation, I think Marilu's delivery was

0:50:46 > 0:50:50- the winner of the team.- So you think Penn and Marilu stood out?

0:50:51 > 0:50:52Neither of the project managers,

0:50:52 > 0:50:55just in terms of your interaction with them and what we saw today?

0:50:55 > 0:50:58Yeah, I think so. I think Lil Jon clearly is the guy that can make videos

0:50:58 > 0:51:02and things like that, but relative to the task, I would agree with that.

0:51:02 > 0:51:05- Do we have a clear winner?- I think we have a lot to talk about.

0:51:05 > 0:51:08I think both teams had some strong pros and cons.

0:51:08 > 0:51:11Great, we're looking forward to hearing the rest of your feedback.

0:51:11 > 0:51:13Great, thank you.

0:51:36 > 0:51:38Well, I want to tell you something.

0:51:38 > 0:51:43LG was really, really impressed with both teams and the job you did.

0:51:43 > 0:51:48And because of that, LG is going to be giving each and every one of your

0:51:48 > 0:51:53charities a full suite of LG smart appliances.

0:51:53 > 0:51:56Now, what does that mean? That means cumulatively, together,

0:51:56 > 0:51:59well over 100,000 worth of stuff.

0:51:59 > 0:52:00- Oh, my God. Wow.- That's pretty good.

0:52:00 > 0:52:04- That's amazing.- I wanted one, they refused to give it to me, OK?

0:52:05 > 0:52:07- That's unbelievable. - That is incredible.

0:52:07 > 0:52:13Now, with us tonight we have a legend and a friend and a winner,

0:52:13 > 0:52:15great champion, Joan Rivers.

0:52:15 > 0:52:17- Yes.- Joan, do you have anything to say to these people?

0:52:17 > 0:52:21You won. They are trying to win. What would you say?

0:52:21 > 0:52:24My heart was with them every minute.

0:52:24 > 0:52:27I know how difficult it is, how hard it is, to get in a room,

0:52:27 > 0:52:31three strong personalities, because in this business,

0:52:31 > 0:52:33if you're not strong, you're not a star.

0:52:33 > 0:52:38- Right.- And you're able to mesh ideas and work as a team.

0:52:38 > 0:52:40- It's incredible. - Well, you were amazing.

0:52:40 > 0:52:43She beat out athletes, the strongest guys you've ever seen,

0:52:43 > 0:52:46and they were exhausted after two weeks and there was Joan,

0:52:46 > 0:52:49- right, Ivanka?- Remarkable. - She just didn't stop.

0:52:49 > 0:52:52So, I give her a lot of credit, she's an amazing woman.

0:52:52 > 0:52:55OK, Lil Jon, how did your team do?

0:52:55 > 0:52:56We did great.

0:52:56 > 0:53:00I think we went above and beyond what was asked of us

0:53:00 > 0:53:06and really marketed and showcased the products, you know,

0:53:06 > 0:53:10and the executive meeting expressed that LG is a company

0:53:10 > 0:53:14that wants to make life easier through innovation for everyone.

0:53:14 > 0:53:19I'm a gadget guy anyway, so I picked it up super-quick and even Marilu.

0:53:19 > 0:53:21Oh. Usually I'm so, you know, tech challenged

0:53:21 > 0:53:24and I found this so much easier.

0:53:24 > 0:53:26I'm calling, literally calling my son in college saying,

0:53:26 > 0:53:28"How does the remote control work?"

0:53:28 > 0:53:30You know, I have to push the buttons. This remote,

0:53:30 > 0:53:32the magic remote, was amazing.

0:53:32 > 0:53:36That was part of your script, so apparently that's actually true.

0:53:36 > 0:53:39- It's totally true. Yeah, it's true. We started with the truth.- Good.

0:53:39 > 0:53:41Marilu, when was the first time you met Joan Rivers?

0:53:41 > 0:53:44Actually, I first met her...

0:53:44 > 0:53:48This is very funny. You're not going to believe when I tell you when we

0:53:48 > 0:53:53first met. We met in 1973 at Ye Little Club on August...

0:53:53 > 0:53:57It was August the 25th. It was a Sunday night.

0:53:57 > 0:54:01No, it was August the 26th, it was a Sunday night, and you were performing.

0:54:01 > 0:54:05And you knew Mike Clifford, who was in the first national company of Grease with me, and so...

0:54:05 > 0:54:09You know what's funny is that she came to visit us and I told her that I was

0:54:09 > 0:54:13nominated for a Clio, but I lost to her.

0:54:13 > 0:54:15So let me ask you, you know, when Joan was on the show,

0:54:15 > 0:54:18she beat a very talented player - great card player, right?

0:54:18 > 0:54:21Great card player.

0:54:21 > 0:54:25- Named...- Evil woman.- You thought so, right? But very talented.

0:54:25 > 0:54:27Very talented. I don't want to discuss her name.

0:54:27 > 0:54:29Annie Duke. Annie is a special woman.

0:54:29 > 0:54:34I thought she was really good and nice, but Joan and her didn't get along too well.

0:54:34 > 0:54:38With your memory, could I take you with me to Las Vegas and you be a card counter?

0:54:38 > 0:54:42- Erm...- And I'm serious about this. I know card counters that have made a fortune.

0:54:42 > 0:54:45You have a better memory than all of them put together.

0:54:45 > 0:54:48Have you ever thought of being a card counter?

0:54:48 > 0:54:51Well, it's more autobiographical, so it's firing on all senses.

0:54:51 > 0:54:53Oh, I see. So you might not do as well with numbers?

0:54:53 > 0:54:57I probably wouldn't, but I'm very good at counting cards, but I never would do that.

0:54:57 > 0:54:59No, but have you ever thought of it?

0:54:59 > 0:55:02It's not illegal or anything, although many casinos won't allow you to play.

0:55:02 > 0:55:05- Right.- But it's not illegal. What do you think about that, Penn?

0:55:05 > 0:55:10- I want to bring her to Las Vegas. - OK.- The problem is...- I want her to sit with me. Make a fortune!

0:55:10 > 0:55:13The problem is the spread. They've limited the spreads at the table.

0:55:13 > 0:55:16Well, now they're flipping it and now they're using 37 hands of cards.

0:55:16 > 0:55:20- They also use...- And more decks. - They're using a lot of different... - There's better ways to cheat.- Yeah.

0:55:20 > 0:55:23Well, that's not cheating, actually.

0:55:23 > 0:55:25OK, Trace. How did Lil Jon do?

0:55:28 > 0:55:30- Oh, he was great. - He was good?- Yeah.

0:55:30 > 0:55:36I think we had a really succinct, cohesive, informative little video.

0:55:36 > 0:55:40We walked people through the appliances and we hit the highlights that

0:55:40 > 0:55:44they wanted us to hit. We highlighted the television and the phone and the refrigerator.

0:55:44 > 0:55:48We also were able to work the washer dryer in there.

0:55:48 > 0:55:50- The stove. - I thought we did really well.

0:55:50 > 0:55:54Trace, the executive actually said they thought that Marilu was a star,

0:55:54 > 0:55:58both in her capacity as an actress in the video, but also in the

0:55:58 > 0:56:02discussion, you know, really asking and enquiring about the product.

0:56:02 > 0:56:05He did say that you were a little under the radar,

0:56:05 > 0:56:08both at the formal presentation and in the executive meeting,

0:56:08 > 0:56:10so how would you respond to that?

0:56:10 > 0:56:12I mean, do you feel that's true?

0:56:12 > 0:56:14Do you feel like you were a little less involved?

0:56:14 > 0:56:20And you have been under the radar, I would say, for a number of weeks, Trace, in all fairness.

0:56:20 > 0:56:24- Well, they keep using my... - You're still here. - They keep using my ideas.

0:56:24 > 0:56:26Let me ask you this, Trace - if your team loses,

0:56:26 > 0:56:28which is a very distinct possibility,

0:56:28 > 0:56:31you're down now to just a few people.

0:56:31 > 0:56:32Amazing, you've all done well.

0:56:32 > 0:56:34But if your team loses, who would I fire?

0:56:36 > 0:56:37Both of them.

0:56:38 > 0:56:40Would you fire the project manager?

0:56:42 > 0:56:44I'd fire them both.

0:56:44 > 0:56:47- Who would you fire, Trace? - I was the only one with any talent.

0:56:47 > 0:56:49OK, who would you fire? Of the two, who would you fire?

0:56:51 > 0:56:56Well, it'd probably rest on Jon's shoulders.

0:56:56 > 0:56:59Marilu was the star of the video and she learned those lines

0:56:59 > 0:57:03- just like that. It was amazing. - Why did you use Marilu?

0:57:03 > 0:57:07Why was Marilu the star, as opposed to Trace or yourself?

0:57:07 > 0:57:10I mean, Marilu is a... a legend in this business.

0:57:10 > 0:57:13And when we were just playing around with our lines,

0:57:13 > 0:57:17she nailed it. It was not even a question of using anybody else.

0:57:17 > 0:57:19Just going through the script, coming up with the lines,

0:57:19 > 0:57:21- we all sat down at...- Right.

0:57:21 > 0:57:26I made us all sit down at a table and input and Marilu was reciting some of the stuff and she was,

0:57:26 > 0:57:29- like, amazing.- How did you like your performance, Marilu?

0:57:29 > 0:57:33Well, you know, I've done 78 commercials, so I'm used to having to do products and getting

0:57:33 > 0:57:37- the glarers out and stuff like that. I felt good about it.- Good.

0:57:37 > 0:57:39So, Gary, how did your team do?

0:57:39 > 0:57:44Well, my reason for being here is my charity foundation for children's

0:57:44 > 0:57:50Kawasaki disease, which operates on children five months to five years,

0:57:50 > 0:57:54and my son Luke had that two years ago and that's why I'm here,

0:57:54 > 0:57:57to develop the awareness of the children's Kawasaki disease.

0:57:57 > 0:58:01- How old is Luke now? - Luke is two years and eight months.

0:58:01 > 0:58:03Wow, that's great, Gary, I'm proud of you.

0:58:03 > 0:58:06- I'm very proud of... - How did you do as project manager?

0:58:06 > 0:58:09Well, I did the best I could, but I felt abandoned.

0:58:10 > 0:58:13I directed, I helped write it and I blocked it.

0:58:13 > 0:58:19I had no positive reinforcement from Penn or Lisa, and Lisa...

0:58:19 > 0:58:22That's a strong word, you felt abandoned.

0:58:22 > 0:58:24- That's a very strong word. - Well, that's what I was.

0:58:24 > 0:58:28I was alone on the floor, but I'm not really alone, because I have me,

0:58:28 > 0:58:29my best friend, with me.

0:58:29 > 0:58:31So you would say they did not help you?

0:58:31 > 0:58:35No, not to the full extent of the management of my product.

0:58:35 > 0:58:37Who would you fire on this task, if you lose?

0:58:37 > 0:58:41- Lisa.- You would fire Lisa? Why Lisa? - Because she would yell at me

0:58:41 > 0:58:45and confrontate me when the three of us were sitting, working out what we were going to do and,

0:58:45 > 0:58:48for instance, I said, "Do you have an idea?"

0:58:48 > 0:58:49And I'm not going to repeat her voice.

0:58:49 > 0:58:52The way she said it was very loud and critical.

0:58:52 > 0:58:55"I gave you an idea and you told me to shut up."

0:58:55 > 0:58:57I said, "I didn't tell you to shut up."

0:58:57 > 0:58:59I said, "I have a lot of things in my mind.

0:58:59 > 0:59:02- "What is your idea?"- I don't see Lisa as loud and critical.

0:59:02 > 0:59:06- She's very loud. - Maybe I'm seeing a different Lisa. Lisa, how do you respond to that?

0:59:06 > 0:59:13Well, I think people have their own ideas of things and Gary certainly has an idea of this.

0:59:13 > 0:59:16I don't believe that it's correct.

0:59:16 > 0:59:18Well, it is correct, because it happened to me

0:59:18 > 0:59:21and I speak the truth and the truth requires no questions.

0:59:23 > 0:59:27- Penn, how do you respond to this? - Gary did shush her and he did...

0:59:27 > 0:59:30- Did he use the words "shut up"? - Yes, he did. I believe so.

0:59:30 > 0:59:34- Hey, guys, come on.- It's tough to talk to a lady like that, but that's OK.

0:59:34 > 0:59:37- Er... I... - Look, did you use that word or not? - No.- You're saying you didn't?- No.

0:59:37 > 0:59:41- So, go ahead, Penn. - I said, "Stop. Please stop."

0:59:41 > 0:59:46Er, you know, you're not sure. You hear a tone of voice, you hear it differently.

0:59:46 > 0:59:49My memory could be wrong. I'm just telling you what I remember.

0:59:49 > 0:59:52- I was alone. - You were very fed up, though. When I arrived, you had checked out

0:59:52 > 0:59:55and I think you were just exhausted from the dynamic.

0:59:55 > 0:59:57Well, I... I don't think we checked out.

0:59:57 > 1:00:00I think we were really trying to make this happen.

1:00:00 > 1:00:03Well, it was a check-out for me, cos I was alone on the floor.

1:00:04 > 1:00:09Not necessarily in a negative way. I think you were doing your roles, but I don't think you were thinking

1:00:09 > 1:00:14about how to contribute any more, because I think you were a bit lost in terms of what the task was

1:00:14 > 1:00:17and what was happening. Is that...? I mean, is that right, Penn?

1:00:17 > 1:00:23You arrived at a time when it was an Italian air show.

1:00:23 > 1:00:29- The wings were coming off the plane. - She's always had good timing. It's true.- Earlier in the day,

1:00:29 > 1:00:32there was no brainstorming, really.

1:00:32 > 1:00:38I tried to pitch three ideas, which I don't think were stunning,

1:00:38 > 1:00:41but the first time you say an idea, unless you're Joan Rivers,

1:00:41 > 1:00:47it's usually not stunning. And Gary did not let me finish any one of them.

1:00:47 > 1:00:50Lisa, we have a complete black box.

1:00:50 > 1:00:56- She was never allowed to say an idea at any time during the day. - Yes, she was.

1:00:56 > 1:00:59I beg to differ, because yes, she was.

1:00:59 > 1:01:02I'm not the... I'm not the criminal here and if it's jealousy that is

1:01:02 > 1:01:07causing this or some kind of fear, I'm not to be jealous of her,

1:01:07 > 1:01:11to be fair. I need a team that works with me, like I said at the beginning.

1:01:11 > 1:01:14Each one of us is 33 and a third. That equals 100. That's an

1:01:14 > 1:01:17even playing field, with everybody supporting everybody else.

1:01:17 > 1:01:21Gary, you don't like these two people very much, do you?

1:01:21 > 1:01:23Tell me.

1:01:23 > 1:01:26No, I respect them and love them. I'm just talking about the task.

1:01:26 > 1:01:31- It doesn't sound like it. - I don't have feelings of anger.

1:01:31 > 1:01:32I love them both with all my heart.

1:01:32 > 1:01:35It's just, at the task time, I was alone.

1:01:38 > 1:01:41Lisa, what was wrong with Gary's concept?

1:01:41 > 1:01:44Maybe it was a great concept. We're going to let you know very soon.

1:01:44 > 1:01:45What was wrong with Gary's concept?

1:01:46 > 1:01:49Well, I didn't quite understand the mechanical dog.

1:01:49 > 1:01:52I liked the family concept - I thought it was nice.

1:01:52 > 1:01:57I thought what he started with was good, but he was so focused

1:01:57 > 1:02:01- on having this mechanical dog. - Excuse me. Mechanical dog was...

1:02:01 > 1:02:06The wife came out and said, "What are they going to create next?"

1:02:06 > 1:02:11And I said, "A mechanical dog," and I barked once and I had my son sit me back down and say,

1:02:11 > 1:02:14"Dad, take this. If you don't have this, you're going to be a mechanical dog the rest

1:02:14 > 1:02:17"of your life." And I went... There was a great segue and turn around.

1:02:17 > 1:02:19"Oh, this is great. Now I have this smartphone,

1:02:19 > 1:02:23"I don't have to be able to think so much, because I can use this.

1:02:23 > 1:02:26- "Thank you, LG." - Penn, do you think it's great?

1:02:26 > 1:02:29Well, I... I was going to address, if I may...

1:02:32 > 1:02:34I was doing... Keeping track of all the takes.

1:02:34 > 1:02:38I was timing everything and trying to get it in at 90 seconds and Lisa was keeping everything clean.

1:02:38 > 1:02:41We were not involved in the creative process.

1:02:41 > 1:02:45Early in the day, Gary came up with something that I thought had very

1:02:45 > 1:02:52little to do with the product, I thought was funny in, kind of, a shocking way.

1:02:52 > 1:02:57Gary came to me and said two things which I found mutually exclusive.

1:02:57 > 1:03:01He said, "I want your honest opinion and you must support me."

1:03:01 > 1:03:05I said, "My honest opinion is, I don't think this showcases the project.

1:03:05 > 1:03:07"If you want my opinion, I'll lay it on you.

1:03:07 > 1:03:09"If you want me to support you..." He said,

1:03:09 > 1:03:11"I need your support," and from then on,

1:03:11 > 1:03:13I supported you and did not argue again.

1:03:13 > 1:03:16No. During the task, I was alone and you guys were sitting back there

1:03:16 > 1:03:19- doing what you were doing. - Well, why didn't you tell me that?

1:03:19 > 1:03:22- I told you.- You said, "Would you support me?" And I supported you 100%.

1:03:22 > 1:03:27Supporting me is coming out with me and watching and giving your feelings on the direction of it

1:03:27 > 1:03:32- and how it goes, and we had the... We paid a lot of attention to this. - And every time I gave you my

1:03:32 > 1:03:35- feelings...- No, no. - But I didn't feel you should be on all fours barking.

1:03:35 > 1:03:39- You didn't give me the feelings. - I didn't give you the feelings you wanted.

1:03:39 > 1:03:42No, you didn't give me the feelings I was asking for.

1:03:42 > 1:03:47- Yes, exactly.- I was asking for the feelings of help with the project of the task

1:03:47 > 1:03:50with the LG smartphone and how well we can put it in.

1:03:51 > 1:03:54He asked my opinion many times on what I thought about him saying,

1:03:54 > 1:03:57"I turned into a mechanical dog."

1:03:57 > 1:04:01You asked... I believe your exact words were, "Are you barking or vomiting?"

1:04:01 > 1:04:03Wasn't that exactly what you said?

1:04:03 > 1:04:06- I couldn't quite tell. - Yeah, that's what you said and I said, "Barking."

1:04:06 > 1:04:08- There was only one bark. - And then a vomit.

1:04:08 > 1:04:12- No, it wasn't a vomit. - OK.- There wasn't a vomit, at all.

1:04:12 > 1:04:15- There was no vomit, at all. - Clear it up...- There was no vomit. - Please, for the sake of us.

1:04:15 > 1:04:20- Gary did not...- For the sake of you. - Gary did not vomit.- You know what? I want to see what you did.

1:04:20 > 1:04:21Let's see it.

1:04:24 > 1:04:26Tonight's family TV night.

1:04:26 > 1:04:28When am I going to be able to turn on Blu-ray?

1:04:28 > 1:04:29Go and sit in your chair, honey.

1:04:29 > 1:04:32This won't take long, with my smart think appliances.

1:04:32 > 1:04:35- I don't even have to write a grocery list.- Oh, my God!

1:04:35 > 1:04:39- I love you.- I love you, too. And time and temperature...

1:04:41 > 1:04:44..set. I can programme the washer and dryer with my LG phone.

1:04:44 > 1:04:45What will LG think of next?

1:04:45 > 1:04:46A mechanical dog?

1:04:46 > 1:04:47VOMITY-SOUNDING BARK

1:04:47 > 1:04:51Last time you became a mechanical dog, it lasted for two and a half days.

1:04:51 > 1:04:53Take this. It'll make you smarter.

1:04:57 > 1:05:00Well, thanks to LG smartphone. If I didn't have this,

1:05:00 > 1:05:03I'd be a mechanical dog for the rest of my life.

1:05:03 > 1:05:08- So, I say, thank you, LG. OK, what do you want to watch?- Oh, 3D.

1:05:08 > 1:05:10- Something scary. - No, we did that this morning.

1:05:10 > 1:05:15- Mom, what do you want to watch?- I like to take it slow and let nature take me. That's smart.

1:05:20 > 1:05:23Life's good, when you live smart, with LG.

1:05:27 > 1:05:30- What do you think of that, Lil Jon? - It's cool.- Did you think so?

1:05:30 > 1:05:35- I thought you were throwing up, actually. I sort of agree with Penn. - It was actually Ivanka.

1:05:35 > 1:05:39- What was that? Were you laughing or throwing up, seriously?- I wasn't laughing or throwing up.

1:05:39 > 1:05:42Woof, woof. It was a mechanical dog.

1:05:42 > 1:05:45OK. I didn't know what it was.

1:05:45 > 1:05:49- What did you think, Lil Jon? - Yeah, I think it was all right. I think it was good.- Really?

1:05:49 > 1:05:52They hit on some points that we didn't hit on, which is really...

1:05:52 > 1:05:56- I thought that was good. - Talking about Academy Award calibre, right over here and I don't know.

1:05:56 > 1:05:59- What did you think, Joan?- Er, I was confused.- Yeah, I was, too.

1:05:59 > 1:06:04Especially when she said, "Let nature take its course." I'm trying to...

1:06:04 > 1:06:06- I thought she had to go to the bathroom.- That's what I thought.

1:06:06 > 1:06:10She said, "I like to go slow and let nature take me."

1:06:10 > 1:06:15That's even worse. "Nature, take me." The word "take me" is a very dangerous word for a woman.

1:06:15 > 1:06:19And then you crossed over to her, so I thought they were going to go off

1:06:19 > 1:06:21to the bedroom. I thought she was going to the bathroom.

1:06:21 > 1:06:25- First, I thought bathroom, then I thought bedroom.- Me, too.- The last thing I thought about was LG.

1:06:25 > 1:06:29"I like to go slow and let nature take me" is the realisation that

1:06:29 > 1:06:32everything you see in nature is a reflection of yourself.

1:06:32 > 1:06:34OK. Lil Jon, what do you think of that?

1:06:34 > 1:06:36I don't know what the hell he talking about.

1:06:39 > 1:06:41- Gary...- Yes.- Would you like to see Lil Jon's video?

1:06:41 > 1:06:44- I would love it.- Let's see it.

1:06:46 > 1:06:49- Mom, I'm home. - My baby's home from college!

1:06:51 > 1:06:53- What's up with the glasses? - They're 3D glasses.

1:06:53 > 1:06:56Yeah, a lot's changed since you went to school.

1:06:56 > 1:07:01Your dad and I have discovered LG. "Life's good". Want to see what else it does?

1:07:01 > 1:07:03Check out this magic remote.

1:07:03 > 1:07:07I can send an e-mail or even peep your Facebook status.

1:07:07 > 1:07:08Nice party last Friday night!

1:07:08 > 1:07:13And guess what else! I can do all that and control the TV with my new

1:07:13 > 1:07:16smartphone. It's the Intuition by LG.

1:07:16 > 1:07:17ALERT TONE

1:07:17 > 1:07:21Are you guys hungry? Because it just told me, dinner is ready.

1:07:22 > 1:07:24And with our new LG washer and dryer,

1:07:24 > 1:07:28I can monitor it with my LG Intuition smartphone.

1:07:28 > 1:07:30Oh, you guys look so cute!

1:07:31 > 1:07:32I have to take your picture.

1:07:33 > 1:07:35Say cheese!

1:07:37 > 1:07:38Life's good.

1:07:42 > 1:07:44- Joan, what did you think of that?- I like it.

1:07:44 > 1:07:48I am not a mechanical person.

1:07:48 > 1:07:49I understood it.

1:07:49 > 1:07:53It's told me what it could do and I want one!

1:07:53 > 1:07:55Which one do you think was better, Gary?

1:07:55 > 1:07:57Wow! Even.

1:07:57 > 1:07:59Well, that's not very good.

1:07:59 > 1:08:03No, I feel like ours was just as good as it was, as theirs is just as good as it was.

1:08:03 > 1:08:07But when you say "even" that means you think, basically,

1:08:07 > 1:08:10you're the project manager and you don't necessarily think you won.

1:08:10 > 1:08:13- No, I do.- So, why do you think you won if it was even?

1:08:13 > 1:08:15Because it was simple, it was with the family.

1:08:15 > 1:08:17No, but you just said, "Even," so why do you think...?

1:08:17 > 1:08:20No, no, I don't think it's even. I think we won, because...

1:08:20 > 1:08:23- You just said you thought it was even.- I'm taking that back.

1:08:23 > 1:08:24- I'm rebuking that.- All right.

1:08:24 > 1:08:27I think we're allowed to do that, right, Joan?

1:08:27 > 1:08:28What do you think? All right, go ahead.

1:08:28 > 1:08:30OK. We had the family.

1:08:30 > 1:08:32So you think you won?

1:08:32 > 1:08:33Yes!

1:08:36 > 1:08:38I feel it in my heart.

1:08:38 > 1:08:42For what that was and what we were given to do and what I had to work with, we did the best.

1:08:42 > 1:08:45OK. Let's find out who won.

1:08:48 > 1:08:49So, LG...

1:08:50 > 1:08:53James, great executive, disagrees with you.

1:08:56 > 1:08:57He liked Lil Jon's better.

1:09:00 > 1:09:02No contest. Lil Jon, congratulations.

1:09:02 > 1:09:05Through LG, you won a tremendous amount of money for your charity.

1:09:05 > 1:09:09Go back to your Trump Tower suite. You can watch on television if you'd like.

1:09:09 > 1:09:13Trace, Marilu, congratulations. Have a good time. Go.

1:09:13 > 1:09:16- It's great to see. - Congrats. Congrats.

1:09:16 > 1:09:17Congratulations.

1:09:21 > 1:09:23Gary, you and your team stay here.

1:09:23 > 1:09:24Somebody will be fired.

1:09:34 > 1:09:35All right, let's have a drink.

1:09:35 > 1:09:38- American Diabetes Association got a win.- Yes!

1:09:41 > 1:09:42I finally got a win as PM,

1:09:42 > 1:09:47won 40,000 for my charity, American Diabetes Association.

1:09:47 > 1:09:51- Thank you all. - You're a rock star, you are.

1:09:51 > 1:09:55- Thanks, baby.- I can also get up to an additional 35,000 for the shares

1:09:55 > 1:09:57that my video gets on Facebook.

1:09:57 > 1:10:01Oh, man! I can't wait to let my mom know.

1:10:01 > 1:10:02My mom has had diabetes all her life.

1:10:02 > 1:10:06It means a lot to win and I wanted to win for her.

1:10:06 > 1:10:08- Let's turn it on.- Did you see Gary just beating up on Lisa?

1:10:08 > 1:10:12- I know. I was shocked.- That was starting to border on bullying.

1:10:12 > 1:10:14Oh, man, it's going to be ugly in there.

1:10:14 > 1:10:18Ivanka, what were the positives and negatives for Gary's team?

1:10:18 > 1:10:21Well, James felt that you were all very authentic during the

1:10:21 > 1:10:24presentation, in your appreciation for the product and he loved that.

1:10:24 > 1:10:28He also liked Penn saying that he was an early adopter of this type

1:10:28 > 1:10:31of technology. He thought that was very appealing to their target

1:10:31 > 1:10:34demographic, which is also early adopters.

1:10:34 > 1:10:35In terms of negatives,

1:10:35 > 1:10:39he liked the fact that the Intuition smartphone was so prominently

1:10:39 > 1:10:43featured, but felt like many of the other products weren't really showcased

1:10:43 > 1:10:48and it was a 90-second video, with the point of really showing the other products, as well.

1:10:48 > 1:10:53Lastly, he didn't like the mechanical dog reference and that was a big part of the skit.

1:10:53 > 1:10:55He felt like it could have been funny,

1:10:55 > 1:10:57but the joke just didn't land.

1:10:57 > 1:11:01- What do you think, Gary? - I think that...

1:11:01 > 1:11:02That's good information to know.

1:11:02 > 1:11:08- Who's responsible?- The mechanical dog was my responsibility, but I didn't have any support from

1:11:08 > 1:11:13- my team-mates on the mechanical dog. - So, Ivanka, the mechanical dog was Gary's responsibility.

1:11:13 > 1:11:18- James from LG felt that was a real negative, did not like it. - Yes, correct.

1:11:18 > 1:11:22- That's pretty tough, isn't it, Gary? - It's tough, it's learning,

1:11:22 > 1:11:25but it didn't spoil the overall content of what we were doing.

1:11:25 > 1:11:28But why shouldn't you be fired, if it was your responsibility?

1:11:28 > 1:11:35- Your specific point was the reason you lost and it's very hard to fire Penn or Lisa, isn't it?- No.

1:11:35 > 1:11:38- Why would I fire Lisa? - I was stopped on the front by Lisa,

1:11:38 > 1:11:41with her yelling at me in front of everybody.

1:11:41 > 1:11:44- I don't yell. I just have to say, I don't yell. - But you were yelling at me.

1:11:44 > 1:11:50OK. I don't yell. I didn't yell at you, so I'm going to just stop you right there and tell you

1:11:50 > 1:11:53- that I didn't yell.- No, you're never going to stop me. You did yell, because I heard you yell...

1:11:53 > 1:11:57- RAISES VOICE:- ..and it was like this.- So, are you yelling at me now?

1:11:57 > 1:11:59- No, I'm not, I'm showing you what you did.- Whoo!

1:11:59 > 1:12:03He will not, like, own up to his stuff, ever.

1:12:03 > 1:12:06- Are you kidding me?- He's outnumbered. Ain't got enough guns.

1:12:06 > 1:12:09You guys are against me, I know that, but I'm telling the truth.

1:12:09 > 1:12:12- You said it like that.- Are you going to tell me to shush now?

1:12:12 > 1:12:14No, I'm just asking you to let me finish.

1:12:14 > 1:12:16Are you going to interrupt me and tell me to shush?

1:12:16 > 1:12:19This is what I'm talking about, right here, right here.

1:12:19 > 1:12:23- Well, you're being very aggressive, though, Gary.- Well, I'm explaining

1:12:23 > 1:12:27- to you in the vernacular she gave me.- Why would I fire Lisa instead of you,

1:12:27 > 1:12:32- when you were the project manager? - Well, Lisa did not allow me to put mine forth in a good way,

1:12:32 > 1:12:38- because of the yelling and the screaming. Not screaming. - The yelling stopped you?

1:12:38 > 1:12:40Just raising your voice in a criticisical way.

1:12:40 > 1:12:45And another time, a Celebrity Apprentice photographer was on the edge of the table,

1:12:45 > 1:12:51where the set was, and I put my hand out on his hand to move him.

1:12:51 > 1:12:57Lisa yelled, "That was very rude, that was a bad thing to do. You must apologise to him."

1:12:57 > 1:13:00- So, I went and apologised. - Why did you do that?

1:13:00 > 1:13:02- Why did I do what? - Why did you touch his hand?

1:13:02 > 1:13:08Because he was in the middle of the pathway where the actresses were going to come down and sing.

1:13:08 > 1:13:09So why did you find that so rude, Lisa?

1:13:09 > 1:13:12Well, we were at crunch time and we were trying to get

1:13:12 > 1:13:16all the shots done and my view of it was he pushed...

1:13:16 > 1:13:21- No, I didn't. I did not push. - ..a cameraman out of the way and I don't think that that's right.

1:13:21 > 1:13:25Here's what happened - I did not... That's a lie. I did not push the cameraman out of the way.

1:13:25 > 1:13:30I put my hand on his hand. I went to apologise to him, as you requested. I went to Lisa

1:13:30 > 1:13:34and I said, "I apologised to him," and she looked down and she said,

1:13:34 > 1:13:36"Well, that's good. Don't do it again."

1:13:36 > 1:13:42I saw the exact cameraman incident and I felt that the way...

1:13:42 > 1:13:45I don't see it as just touching him on the hands.

1:13:45 > 1:13:49- It was kind of a push. - No, it wasn't kind of a push.

1:13:49 > 1:13:52- I put my hand on his hands. - Was he offended?- No, he was not.

1:13:52 > 1:13:56- Not at all.- This is a dynamic I actually observed in real-time,

1:13:56 > 1:14:00because it was crunch time. I showed up 30 minutes before you were supposed to have the video

1:14:00 > 1:14:03finalised and there was alienation on both sides.

1:14:03 > 1:14:06I think, Gary, you were working in isolation.

1:14:06 > 1:14:10- I was.- I don't think you were getting the support of your team,

1:14:10 > 1:14:14but in part, I think, because your team felt like they had been precluded from the bigger picture

1:14:14 > 1:14:17and didn't seem to understand what it was that they were supposed to be doing.

1:14:17 > 1:14:21No, I asked them for their help and what they would like to see and Penn would say...

1:14:21 > 1:14:23- They didn't understand the script, though.- Hang on.

1:14:23 > 1:14:27When I was there, they really didn't understand the purpose of what you were trying to film.

1:14:27 > 1:14:30So, I did notice you asking them questions, but I think they missed the bigger picture.

1:14:30 > 1:14:33I did tell them the purpose of what I was filming and I asked for their help.

1:14:33 > 1:14:36"Do you have an idea? Do you have anything to do?"

1:14:36 > 1:14:39Penn said, "You're the project manager, it's your deal, I'll go with you."

1:14:39 > 1:14:44I loved what Gary was doing, artistically - I always do.

1:14:44 > 1:14:49I did not think it had anything to do with the project and I think there

1:14:49 > 1:14:54was a bit of a misunderstanding... No, no, we had a different understanding of the task.

1:14:54 > 1:14:57- I thought it was to explain LG's products...- Too long.

1:14:57 > 1:15:03..which, incidentally, are wicked good, and I'm an early adopter, so I really dug them.

1:15:03 > 1:15:10During the technicians explaining how the products work, Gary split.

1:15:10 > 1:15:12- I didn't split.- Went over to the other side of the room.

1:15:12 > 1:15:16I did not split, I did not leave the focus of where we were.

1:15:16 > 1:15:22- I never split. I was always there. - You walked away to the other side of the room...

1:15:23 > 1:15:25..while they were explaining the refrigerator.

1:15:25 > 1:15:27- You couldn't possibly... - No, no, no, no, I was there.

1:15:27 > 1:15:31- He couldn't possibly have heard them.- I did!

1:15:31 > 1:15:35You were over... OK. He has astonishing hearing.

1:15:35 > 1:15:37What does that have to do with the teamwork,

1:15:37 > 1:15:42- which there wasn't any, and yelling at me and confronting me? - No-one raised their voices to you.

1:15:42 > 1:15:44Hang on. Excuse me. Lisa raised her voice very much to me

1:15:44 > 1:15:48and you can say no, but you're lying and you're supporting her.

1:15:48 > 1:15:54I'm not... I'm not trying to tear you down but when you get yelled at,

1:15:54 > 1:15:56"That was very rude!" I'm not going to yell like that.

1:15:56 > 1:15:59- I was... - You yelled at me and then you...

1:15:59 > 1:16:03You confronted me and team-mates don't do that when they're working

1:16:03 > 1:16:06together as a triplicate, a trinity.

1:16:06 > 1:16:09Gary, I didn't observe them actually undermining you in any way.

1:16:09 > 1:16:12I felt like you were a bit fed up, truthfully, both of you,

1:16:12 > 1:16:16that you were trying to be supportive, but you didn't really know how to do it,

1:16:16 > 1:16:19because you didn't understand the bigger picture.

1:16:19 > 1:16:24They got it, because they understood it, and Penn Jillette said, "I understand what you're doing."

1:16:24 > 1:16:26- Do you...?- No, I never said that. - You guys, come on.

1:16:26 > 1:16:30I never said I understood what you were doing. I never did understand what you were doing and I said I

1:16:30 > 1:16:35- would be supportive of you.- You said as I'm project manager, whatever...

1:16:35 > 1:16:37Penn, did you disagree with what Gary was doing?

1:16:37 > 1:16:40- Tremendously. I thought that we should...- I didn't... I asked that.

1:16:40 > 1:16:43What could you do to help this project?

1:16:43 > 1:16:47- No, no, you didn't...- And you didn't say anything to help me.

1:16:47 > 1:16:49You were just abandoning.

1:16:49 > 1:16:52- I did say something.- I felt isolated and alone on the floor without the team...

1:16:52 > 1:16:56- I did say something to help you, Gary.- ..without my team-mates working with me.

1:16:56 > 1:16:59Gary, what you said was, "I will be a mechanical dog and I will keep

1:16:59 > 1:17:02"barking and go on all fours," and I talked you back from that.

1:17:02 > 1:17:05Oh, no, I got that, I got that. Mechanical dog was out.

1:17:05 > 1:17:07- But I gave you that note. - So, Gary, why should I fire Penn?

1:17:10 > 1:17:15He wasn't with me on this. I was abandoned. I wasn't... I didn't have a team with me.

1:17:15 > 1:17:17Why should I fire Lisa?

1:17:20 > 1:17:21Lisa, her confrontation and criticism,

1:17:21 > 1:17:24raising your voice in front of the crew

1:17:24 > 1:17:28and at the tables where we were fixing the project to put together,

1:17:28 > 1:17:31it was hurtful to me, but I kept going and didn't take it personally.

1:17:31 > 1:17:33Lisa, how do you respond to that?

1:17:33 > 1:17:38It's absolute and utter non-truth and I won't stand for it.

1:17:38 > 1:17:41So, Lisa, if you won't stand for it, do you want to leave right now?

1:17:43 > 1:17:47- No. No.- No? OK.- No, absolutely not. I just won't let him go on...

1:17:47 > 1:17:51- I've seen that before - if people won't stand for it, they leave. - No, no, I just will not...

1:17:51 > 1:17:54- I guess she's not one of them. - I would like to say...- Go ahead.

1:17:54 > 1:18:00..that our most frustrated... The time that I was...the most

1:18:00 > 1:18:06despondent and the time that Lisa was the most lost was the time

1:18:06 > 1:18:10when you arrived, so if there was yelling taking place,

1:18:10 > 1:18:11I think you would have heard it.

1:18:11 > 1:18:15- No.- But I would say that Gary was correct in a certain sense, that...

1:18:15 > 1:18:18Maybe it's because you had tried so hard to be heard and weren't being

1:18:18 > 1:18:21heard, you had taken a step back.

1:18:21 > 1:18:23You were running around, doing whatever you were doing...

1:18:23 > 1:18:27- We were trying to get... - I mean, you guys were, sort of, just going along with it,

1:18:27 > 1:18:30- but... - Usually, when I'm asked for an idea,

1:18:30 > 1:18:32the idea can be dismissed very quickly.

1:18:32 > 1:18:35I never got to finish one of the ideas I had

1:18:35 > 1:18:39- and Lisa did not get to start. - I asked you to do that in my team.

1:18:39 > 1:18:43Lisa and Penn spent all the time talking to each other,

1:18:43 > 1:18:47- without including me.- QED.- Penn, what suggestions did you make?

1:18:47 > 1:18:52I suggested that we start out with, maybe, a father

1:18:52 > 1:18:57- who was a little bit... - Ignorant. Ignorant of the...

1:18:57 > 1:19:02That's what I did and you changed that to not being ignorant.

1:19:02 > 1:19:05Well, this is exactly the way I was explaining my idea

1:19:05 > 1:19:07and that's about as far as I got.

1:19:07 > 1:19:09But, Gary, do you think you should be listening

1:19:09 > 1:19:12- to your team, as project manager? - That's what I was doing.

1:19:12 > 1:19:16- Asking for support, asking for help. - And, Penn, you disagree with that?

1:19:16 > 1:19:18He was asking me to say, "This is a great idea."

1:19:18 > 1:19:23No, I wasn't asking you to say this was a great idea.

1:19:23 > 1:19:28That's not my purpose here. My purpose is to utilise you for

1:19:28 > 1:19:32the support you can give me in what I was doing and support that

1:19:32 > 1:19:37and tell me your feelings about something you didn't think matched

1:19:37 > 1:19:41the sequence of our film, cos I'm asking for your input,

1:19:41 > 1:19:44- to help the whole task.- You never asked for input.- Yes, I did.

1:19:44 > 1:19:46- Never once.- Yes, I did. - Not in a way...

1:19:46 > 1:19:52Gary, you're so much different from the last time you were on the show.

1:19:52 > 1:19:55First of all, you're much more solid - you're like a rock.

1:19:55 > 1:19:58- Yeah. - Has something changed in your life?

1:19:58 > 1:20:01You were a flake the last time. Now, you're like this tough guy.

1:20:01 > 1:20:05I'm impressed by it. I think it's... To me, it's tremendous, really.

1:20:05 > 1:20:09- What happened?- The great thing about three years ago was I had a team

1:20:09 > 1:20:13that hated me. The education I received from doing this show

1:20:13 > 1:20:14was very powerful

1:20:14 > 1:20:18and I got an education from that and that's not going to happen again.

1:20:18 > 1:20:21Well, I think you're really terrific and you're really solid.

1:20:21 > 1:20:23But James did not like the mechanical dog.

1:20:25 > 1:20:26That was your idea, is that right?

1:20:26 > 1:20:29- Yeah.- He didn't like the fact that you didn't highlight

1:20:29 > 1:20:33many of the great LG products. Whose fault is that?

1:20:33 > 1:20:35Well, it's the fault of the whole team.

1:20:35 > 1:20:37- Well, but you're the project manager.- I'm project manager.

1:20:37 > 1:20:39Lisa did inserts with the...

1:20:39 > 1:20:41But, Gary, you're the project manager, in all fairness.

1:20:41 > 1:20:44You didn't highlight many of the products

1:20:44 > 1:20:47and they're fantastic products. Gary, you're fired.

1:20:51 > 1:20:52Go ahead. Thank you.

1:20:56 > 1:20:57Go back to your suite.

1:21:19 > 1:21:22- Not easy, Joan.- Very, very tough.

1:21:23 > 1:21:25You made the right decision.

1:21:59 > 1:22:02When you don't have your team-mates working with you

1:22:02 > 1:22:05when you're project manager, that means your team-mates want you out.

1:22:05 > 1:22:06And that's what happened tonight.

1:22:06 > 1:22:10But so what? I don't care!

1:22:10 > 1:22:12I'm going home!

1:22:13 > 1:22:14Yay!
