0:00:02 > 0:00:04I'm not impressed with any of you. This is a bloody shambles.

0:00:04 > 0:00:06You didn't follow the money.

0:00:06 > 0:00:08I've got two teams here and they're both rubbish.

0:00:08 > 0:00:09You're fired.

0:00:09 > 0:00:10You're fired.

0:00:10 > 0:00:11You're fired.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:00:23 > 0:00:26Good evening, good evening, and welcome to The Apprentice: You're Fired.

0:00:26 > 0:00:27I'm Rhod Gilbert.

0:00:27 > 0:00:30This week, the candidates took on the world of high fashion,

0:00:30 > 0:00:31tasked with choosing a designer

0:00:31 > 0:00:34and putting on a fashion show to showcase their talents.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37After the task, bored with sending fired candidates

0:00:37 > 0:00:40home in a black cab, Lord Sugar tried out a new idea.

0:00:42 > 0:00:44LAUGHTER

0:00:45 > 0:00:47Here to help us figure out who was haute couture

0:00:47 > 0:00:49and who was HAUTE of their depth,

0:00:49 > 0:00:53please welcome this week's panel of Apprentice fans and guests.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56Creative Director of bespoke tailor Norton & Sons, Patrick Grant.

0:00:56 > 0:00:59Stylist, fashion journalist and TV presenter, Angela Scanlon,

0:00:59 > 0:01:02and comedian Dane Baptise, welcome to You're Fired.

0:01:02 > 0:01:03Thank you!

0:01:03 > 0:01:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:01:09 > 0:01:10Patrick, how do you think it went this week?

0:01:10 > 0:01:13Well, you know, it's nice to see fashion represented.

0:01:13 > 0:01:15It's a big industry, employs lots of people.

0:01:15 > 0:01:18This was a simple marketing task, and I don't think many of them

0:01:18 > 0:01:21emerged from this with very much credit, I have to say.

0:01:21 > 0:01:25- Right. Angela?- Yeah, surprising, across the board.

0:01:25 > 0:01:29I think the people I thought would sail through didn't, and those

0:01:29 > 0:01:32who I thought would get it in the neck managed to dodge a bullet.

0:01:32 > 0:01:34Intriguing. Dane?

0:01:34 > 0:01:36I think, yeah, really good episode.

0:01:36 > 0:01:40Interesting that there would be an episode about fashion, cos

0:01:40 > 0:01:43I notice that a lot of candidates tend to wear blue suits everywhere.

0:01:43 > 0:01:44LAUGHTER

0:01:44 > 0:01:46So I didn't know how fashion-savvy they were going to be.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49We'll be discussing this week's shock double-firing

0:01:49 > 0:01:51when we chat to both the fired candidates a little later on.

0:01:51 > 0:01:53But first...

0:01:53 > 0:01:55CLOCK CHIMES

0:01:55 > 0:01:57..in Apprentice news tonight...

0:01:57 > 0:02:00..there's high drama as, just before she heads into the boardroom,

0:02:00 > 0:02:02a live crab gets stuck in Michaela's shoe.

0:02:05 > 0:02:07LAUGHTER

0:02:07 > 0:02:10A cruel hypnotist makes Harrison feel an electric shock every

0:02:10 > 0:02:12time someone mentions his name.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15I'd have to say that Harrison didn't contribute anywhere near as much...

0:02:15 > 0:02:16LAUGHTER

0:02:18 > 0:02:20Claude goes undercover...

0:02:20 > 0:02:21Some of them...

0:02:21 > 0:02:23LAUGHTER

0:02:23 > 0:02:26..and James finds that trying to have a meeting

0:02:26 > 0:02:28while standing on a record player isn't easy.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31Right. God, that was stressful!

0:02:31 > 0:02:32LAUGHTER

0:02:32 > 0:02:34That's tonight's Apprentice news.

0:02:34 > 0:02:36APPLAUSE

0:02:37 > 0:02:41So, after strutting no stuff whatsoever in the fashion

0:02:41 > 0:02:44industry, Lord Sugar decided that Harrison didn't measure up

0:02:44 > 0:02:47and showed him the CHRISTIAN DIOR.

0:02:47 > 0:02:49Harrison, I don't know what you did on this task.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52In fact, I've had a bit of a problem understanding what you

0:02:52 > 0:02:54did on other tasks.

0:02:54 > 0:02:57It is with regret, Harrison, you're fired.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00Cheers.

0:03:00 > 0:03:01Thanks for the opportunity.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08Please welcome Harrison Jones!

0:03:08 > 0:03:10APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:03:12 > 0:03:15- You all right?- Yeah, good, man, thank you.- Grab a seat.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18It's Harrison, ladies and gentlemen, it's Harrison!

0:03:18 > 0:03:19CHEERING

0:03:19 > 0:03:20Look at that!

0:03:20 > 0:03:22- Listen to that!- Nice welcome.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24What a welcome.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27IN COCKNEY ACCENT: Harrison, Harrison, Harrison. What happened, mate?

0:03:27 > 0:03:28LAUGHTER

0:03:28 > 0:03:30I messed up, didn't I? Big time.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33IN OWN ACCENT: How long are we going to carry this voice on for? No, it's actually my voice.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35- Oh, I know.- Oh, right, yeah.

0:03:35 > 0:03:36Go on, tell me what happened.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39Well, I didn't know a great deal about women's fashion, um...

0:03:39 > 0:03:42I think, yeah, evidently I got fired, so...

0:03:42 > 0:03:45- Didn't go too well, to be honest.- I was hoping for a bit more insight than that!

0:03:45 > 0:03:47LAUGHTER

0:03:47 > 0:03:50The word "grafter" comes up quite a lot.

0:03:50 > 0:03:54Perhaps you're not, you weren't quite versatile enough this week, that showed that, perhaps.

0:03:54 > 0:03:56I think I was versatile throughout the whole process.

0:03:56 > 0:04:00I mean, I've gone from picking up dog poo to singing,

0:04:00 > 0:04:04to running a catwalk show, to painting a wall yellow, so...

0:04:04 > 0:04:06Yeah, no, I think I've...

0:04:06 > 0:04:08That's quite an array of skills you've got there.

0:04:08 > 0:04:09LAUGHTER

0:04:09 > 0:04:11- It really is.- Think I've been pretty versatile, to be fair.

0:04:11 > 0:04:14Harrison was in the boardroom with Jade and Sarah, Patrick.

0:04:14 > 0:04:17Did you anticipate the double-firing?

0:04:17 > 0:04:21Well, I didn't anticipate it, but I can't say I'm entirely surprised.

0:04:21 > 0:04:23You know, you seemed to just,

0:04:23 > 0:04:26kind of, decide that you weren't that interested and you were

0:04:26 > 0:04:28sort of a, you know, in the best possible way,

0:04:28 > 0:04:30sort of, a wet lettuce throughout the entire thing.

0:04:30 > 0:04:31LAUGHTER

0:04:31 > 0:04:33It was like, you just, you just dodged it.

0:04:33 > 0:04:36Angela, were you surprised that Sarah didn't go, as well?

0:04:36 > 0:04:39Definitely. She doesn't really do anything for me,

0:04:39 > 0:04:41and, yeah, I think she should have gone...

0:04:41 > 0:04:44- ..before the other two.- OK.- Yeah.

0:04:44 > 0:04:47- You made a last-minute appeal... - Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50..to Lord Sugar. AS HARRISON: "No-one will graft harder than me!"

0:04:50 > 0:04:51LAUGHTER

0:04:51 > 0:04:54"My drive and determination are second to none, Lord Sugar!"

0:04:54 > 0:04:55Yeah, had to be done.

0:04:55 > 0:04:57Did you think that was going to work, Dane,

0:04:57 > 0:04:59do you think, that appeal at the last minute?

0:04:59 > 0:05:02I think if I was in your position, the first thing I would be like,

0:05:02 > 0:05:04"I've picked up dog poo for you, Lord Sugar!"

0:05:04 > 0:05:05LAUGHTER

0:05:05 > 0:05:08If someone's not prepared to accept you're going to pick up dog poo to win a task...

0:05:08 > 0:05:12- Exactly, yeah.- ..then maybe it's just, yeah, just creative differences.

0:05:12 > 0:05:13LAUGHTER

0:05:13 > 0:05:15Unfortunately, when it came to the catwalk,

0:05:15 > 0:05:18Harrison was less walking cat and more nodding dog,

0:05:18 > 0:05:24- as he let Sarah and Jade make all the ISSEY MIYAKE decisions.- Ooh!

0:05:24 > 0:05:25Ah! Beautiful!

0:05:25 > 0:05:26LAUGHTER

0:05:26 > 0:05:28Let's see where it all went wrong.

0:05:28 > 0:05:32Harrison, you say that your best ability is to adapt

0:05:32 > 0:05:33to your surroundings.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35I threw you in this fashion business.

0:05:35 > 0:05:37You didn't adapt to it, did you?

0:05:39 > 0:05:42I won't be putting myself forward for project manager as you're

0:05:42 > 0:05:44going to have more experience of women's fashion.

0:05:44 > 0:05:45What on Lord's green earth is it?!

0:05:45 > 0:05:47LAUGHTER

0:05:47 > 0:05:49I'm not really here to try and shine.

0:05:49 > 0:05:51I'm not putting a business plan that involves anything to do

0:05:51 > 0:05:53with catwalking. Yeah, whatever.

0:05:53 > 0:05:55It reminds me of one of those things when you're

0:05:55 > 0:05:57freezing cold, the paramedics put over you.

0:05:57 > 0:05:59I worry for Harrison, cos there's nothing he's done on

0:05:59 > 0:06:01this task that has made any difference.

0:06:01 > 0:06:03He's really just an assistant.

0:06:03 > 0:06:05Oh, he's just brought back the dress for you.

0:06:05 > 0:06:08What use were you? I mean, they had enough mannequins.

0:06:08 > 0:06:10So they obviously didn't use you for that.

0:06:11 > 0:06:13- LAUGHTER - Aw!

0:06:13 > 0:06:17- That was a bit harsh, Karren saying you did nothing. You carried the dress over.- It was heavy, as well!

0:06:17 > 0:06:18LAUGHTER

0:06:18 > 0:06:21Looked heavy! You carried that over. You put the chairs out...

0:06:21 > 0:06:24- Exactly. Very straight lines as well, so...- Is that what you went for?

0:06:24 > 0:06:25Yeah, they had like, wooden lines

0:06:25 > 0:06:28- and I made sure all the fronts were up against them. So...- Did you? - Yeah.

0:06:28 > 0:06:31- And then people go, people say you do nothing!- Exactly!

0:06:31 > 0:06:32LAUGHTER

0:06:32 > 0:06:34It did seem like you sort of... I mean, rabbit in the headlights.

0:06:34 > 0:06:36- That's what you looked... - Is that what I looked like?

0:06:36 > 0:06:38- That's what you were. - That's fair enough.

0:06:38 > 0:06:40No, to be fair, when I opened that box and I saw, like,

0:06:40 > 0:06:42a tinfoil, what, like overcoat...

0:06:42 > 0:06:43RHOD LAUGHS

0:06:43 > 0:06:46..um, yeah, I've never seen anything like it, so, yeah,

0:06:46 > 0:06:48- it was a bit of a shock.- Yeah.- Mmm.

0:06:48 > 0:06:52Angela, do you think he could have thrown himself in a little bit more than he did?

0:06:52 > 0:06:54I think he could have got stuck in a bit more.

0:06:54 > 0:06:56I mean, the choice of designer

0:06:56 > 0:06:58by Jade made it quite difficult.

0:06:58 > 0:07:00Those clothes...

0:07:00 > 0:07:02I think I would find it difficult,

0:07:02 > 0:07:04and I'm a pretty good saleswoman.

0:07:04 > 0:07:07- But, if all else fails, LOOK busy! - Mmm.

0:07:07 > 0:07:08LAUGHTER

0:07:08 > 0:07:10Let's talk about the designs a bit.

0:07:10 > 0:07:13It looks really good, and Stylist magazine got behind you.

0:07:13 > 0:07:17How much easier would you have found it if Jade had picked a more

0:07:17 > 0:07:21high street, kind of, less high-end, less, sort of, avant-garde designer?

0:07:21 > 0:07:24Um... Well, yeah, it would have changed the whole task, definitely,

0:07:24 > 0:07:26so yeah, it would, everything would have changed,

0:07:26 > 0:07:30cos not a lot of people will buy lots of £1,000 dresses.

0:07:30 > 0:07:34So, yeah, I think a low, a low level item would have done better.

0:07:34 > 0:07:37Dane, I'm sure you've spotted, as I did, the futuristic, regal,

0:07:37 > 0:07:39rock and roll, gothic theme across the collection.

0:07:39 > 0:07:40LAUGHTER

0:07:40 > 0:07:43The designer even mentioned it was kind of post-apocalyptic.

0:07:43 > 0:07:44Like, if there's any advice...

0:07:44 > 0:07:46If you hear the word "apocalypse" in a product,

0:07:46 > 0:07:48probably should leave it, in a task.

0:07:48 > 0:07:49LAUGHTER

0:07:49 > 0:07:51Er, Patrick, the task was all about commission.

0:07:51 > 0:07:54Was it, Jade going for a high-end designer, is that more of a gamble?

0:07:54 > 0:07:57That was where this, that was the big failure in this task. I mean,

0:07:57 > 0:07:59yeah, how many people in this room spend more

0:07:59 > 0:08:01than 150 quid on a garment on a regular basis?

0:08:01 > 0:08:03Not, you know, that's MOST of us.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06The market for contemporary fashion is enormous.

0:08:06 > 0:08:10The market for high-end fashion is incredibly small.

0:08:10 > 0:08:12And that was the big error.

0:08:12 > 0:08:13I mean, they could have had 40% commission

0:08:13 > 0:08:16- and they would not have won this task.- Yeah.

0:08:16 > 0:08:19Well, as any budding model or fashion student knows,

0:08:19 > 0:08:21there's nothing like top tips from experts.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23And this week was nothing like that.

0:08:23 > 0:08:26Do YOU want to be the next top model?

0:08:26 > 0:08:28Then join the...

0:08:29 > 0:08:32OK, work it. Work it. Work every bit.

0:08:32 > 0:08:35Our experienced models will teach you all you need to know about...

0:08:35 > 0:08:36LAUGHTER

0:08:36 > 0:08:39What that represents to me is, sort of, amateur magician.

0:08:40 > 0:08:42As in, she could be like this.

0:08:42 > 0:08:44She's posing as a teapot.

0:08:44 > 0:08:47And learn about high-end fashion from our expert, Harrison!

0:08:47 > 0:08:48Yeah, whatever.

0:08:48 > 0:08:50LAUGHTER

0:08:52 > 0:08:53APPLAUSE

0:08:53 > 0:08:56- Oh, I do love that "whatever". I do love that "whatever".- Ah.

0:08:58 > 0:08:59We're down to the final five.

0:08:59 > 0:09:04Last guy in the process, James, I can tell you, I've got the stats.

0:09:04 > 0:09:06Ten tasks, so far. He's won five, lost five.

0:09:06 > 0:09:08What's he like to work with?

0:09:08 > 0:09:10Yeah, yeah, James is good.

0:09:10 > 0:09:13I'd say he's got, like, an all-round skillset,

0:09:13 > 0:09:16so I'm quite confident that he's going to go a bit further.

0:09:16 > 0:09:19Well, he definitely has gone further, but, I mean, further than that.

0:09:19 > 0:09:21LAUGHTER

0:09:21 > 0:09:23But, yeah, no, he's good at business, definitely.

0:09:23 > 0:09:24This is James' cover, of course.

0:09:24 > 0:09:26LAUGHTER

0:09:26 > 0:09:28There's James on the...

0:09:28 > 0:09:29LAUGHTER

0:09:29 > 0:09:30..on the front cover.

0:09:30 > 0:09:32Patrick, how did he do as an amateur model?

0:09:32 > 0:09:34I don't understand this idea of taking

0:09:34 > 0:09:36one for the team by being a model.

0:09:36 > 0:09:38They, surely that's doing your team a massive disservice.

0:09:38 > 0:09:40There were professional models offered to you.

0:09:40 > 0:09:41Take them.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43Angela, can you see him going all the way?

0:09:43 > 0:09:47- Do you think he'll be in the final? - I think he will go through the interview stage

0:09:47 > 0:09:48and I think he'll get to the final.

0:09:49 > 0:09:51I don't know that he can win it,

0:09:51 > 0:09:53but I really enjoy watching him, he's very positive.

0:09:53 > 0:09:56He's got a good energy. He takes risks, you know?

0:09:56 > 0:09:59He kind of does throw himself into it.

0:09:59 > 0:10:01And he's got amazing teeth...

0:10:01 > 0:10:02LAUGHTER

0:10:02 > 0:10:04..which I think Lord Sugar appreciates, a good set of...

0:10:04 > 0:10:06It's important, especially if you're working

0:10:06 > 0:10:09for someone with the surname Sugar, and you have good teeth, that's...

0:10:09 > 0:10:10LAUGHTER

0:10:10 > 0:10:12- Lord Sugar said he looked constipated.- Yeah.

0:10:12 > 0:10:15Think it's a constipated, kind of, like, a haemorrhoid chic kind of look.

0:10:15 > 0:10:16LAUGHTER

0:10:16 > 0:10:18He looks very pensive.

0:10:18 > 0:10:21He was kind of like, "Do I...proceed with business or get laxatives?"

0:10:21 > 0:10:22LAUGHTER

0:10:22 > 0:10:24Let's talk about Elizabeth.

0:10:24 > 0:10:27She's been on the winning team seven times.

0:10:27 > 0:10:29The one time she was project manager, she won it.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32- Is she a contender, Patrick?- I think she has good instinct.

0:10:32 > 0:10:34You know, I think she makes good decisions

0:10:34 > 0:10:37and she undermines them all by being completely

0:10:37 > 0:10:41incapable of dealing with human beings in a very human way.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43And that's a fundamental part of business.

0:10:43 > 0:10:45You know, it's about working with other people

0:10:45 > 0:10:47and getting the best out of other people.

0:10:47 > 0:10:50And, you know, if she could be in a business of one I think

0:10:50 > 0:10:51she would absolutely thrive,

0:10:51 > 0:10:54but I don't suspect Lord Sugar's looking for a business that size.

0:10:54 > 0:10:56I love her. I think she's...

0:10:56 > 0:10:58- You're a fan of...- ..absolutely bonkers.

0:10:58 > 0:11:01I think she's misunderstood, actually.

0:11:01 > 0:11:05And...Lord Sugar has a soft spot for her.

0:11:05 > 0:11:07That's my read of the situation.

0:11:07 > 0:11:08- Yeah.- So you think she might...

0:11:08 > 0:11:12So I think she'll definitely be in the final and I think she's a good chance of winning it.

0:11:12 > 0:11:15Elizabeth was chuffed to be on the winning team this week,

0:11:15 > 0:11:17but as this bit of unseen footage shows,

0:11:17 > 0:11:19she isn't one to make a song and dance about it.

0:11:26 > 0:11:28LAUGHTER

0:11:28 > 0:11:31£25,000 for our client!

0:11:32 > 0:11:34LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE

0:11:38 > 0:11:41Sarah - six wins, four losses for Sarah.

0:11:41 > 0:11:43She's been back in the boardroom three times.

0:11:43 > 0:11:46I'm not surprised Sarah's in the final five.

0:11:46 > 0:11:48On the whole, she seems pretty sound.

0:11:48 > 0:11:51- I think she's a competent individual.- Yeah.

0:11:51 > 0:11:52I think she makes decent decisions.

0:11:52 > 0:11:55I think, you know, she's also an honest person.

0:11:55 > 0:11:58If she's cocked something up, she'll admit it. She won't try...

0:11:58 > 0:12:02You know, she won't add lies to lies and unravel herself.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05She's not outstanding, but she's definitely,

0:12:05 > 0:12:07- sort of, dependable, is my read.- Yeah.

0:12:07 > 0:12:10Er, so, Harrison, unfortunately Lord Sugar won't be investing in you,

0:12:10 > 0:12:12but he does have this advice for your future.

0:12:14 > 0:12:16Now, Harrison is a hard working fellow.

0:12:16 > 0:12:19Didn't shirk any of the responsibilities in the tasks.

0:12:19 > 0:12:21He even, actually, sung at Wembley.

0:12:21 > 0:12:24But the problem in this particular task was

0:12:24 > 0:12:28he threw his hands in the air because it was women's fashion.

0:12:28 > 0:12:29And he didn't know anything about it.

0:12:29 > 0:12:34But the business essence of it was sales, promotion,

0:12:34 > 0:12:36presentation and marketing.

0:12:36 > 0:12:38And, anyway, fundamentally, he's

0:12:38 > 0:12:40so likeable that he's going to go a long way in business.

0:12:43 > 0:12:45- That's nice.- Yeah, I love that.

0:12:45 > 0:12:46And what was your business plan?

0:12:46 > 0:12:49I'm launching a healthy eating brand

0:12:49 > 0:12:52starting with meal prep and launching in January, so...

0:12:52 > 0:12:54- Good luck.- ..keep your eyes peeled. Thank you.

0:12:54 > 0:12:57Er, well, Lord Sugar made his decision,

0:12:57 > 0:12:59but does our panel feel it was the right one?

0:12:59 > 0:13:00Patrick.

0:13:00 > 0:13:01I think, throughout,

0:13:01 > 0:13:04you've shown yourself to be a really decent guy, and...

0:13:04 > 0:13:06..but this week you just shirked it,

0:13:06 > 0:13:08- so I think it was the right decision.- Cheers.

0:13:08 > 0:13:11Similar. Extremely likeable, everyone gets on with him.

0:13:11 > 0:13:13I think Lord Sugar would love to work with him, but, yeah,

0:13:13 > 0:13:15no hiding this week.

0:13:15 > 0:13:17- Thanks.- OK. Dane?

0:13:17 > 0:13:20I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with the other panellists.

0:13:20 > 0:13:24Think you've been good through the competition, but, yeah, as Lord Sugar said, in this particular task,

0:13:24 > 0:13:26kind of threw your hands in the air,

0:13:26 > 0:13:29kind of left your own fate in the hands of others.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31- Whatever, innit?- Whatever.- Whatever!

0:13:31 > 0:13:33LAUGHTER

0:13:33 > 0:13:35It's time to find out what our audience thinks.

0:13:35 > 0:13:38If you agree with Lord Sugar, hold up "Fired".

0:13:38 > 0:13:40If you disagree, hold up "Hired" now, please.

0:13:42 > 0:13:45Ooh!

0:13:45 > 0:13:47- Harrison, I'm afraid...- It's a landslide.- ..it is red.

0:13:47 > 0:13:49Now, er, Karren, at one point,

0:13:49 > 0:13:52said that you were your own one-man fan club.

0:13:52 > 0:13:53Ah!

0:13:53 > 0:13:57So we have signed you up for a 12-month subscription to the

0:13:57 > 0:13:59Harrison One-Man Fan Club.

0:13:59 > 0:14:00Member one of one.

0:14:00 > 0:14:03You've got your own hat, mate, with "I Love Harrison" on the front.

0:14:03 > 0:14:05- Lovely. Cheers.- Got a lovely T-shirt for you.

0:14:05 > 0:14:07LAUGHTER

0:14:07 > 0:14:09And of course, what fan club would

0:14:09 > 0:14:12be complete without a newsletter?

0:14:12 > 0:14:13This has got...

0:14:13 > 0:14:15Look, it's got Harrison's fashion tips, where's that?

0:14:15 > 0:14:17Let's have a look. Oh, that's blank.

0:14:17 > 0:14:19LAUGHTER

0:14:20 > 0:14:23It's even got a little letter to yourself from the editor, of course.

0:14:23 > 0:14:25There's a picture of you, the editor.

0:14:25 > 0:14:27"Dear Harrison, welcome to the first

0:14:27 > 0:14:30"edition of the Harrison One-Man Fan Club newsletter.

0:14:30 > 0:14:32"You may be wondering what I've been up to lately.

0:14:32 > 0:14:34"Just been fired, so it's a bit quiet, to be honest."

0:14:34 > 0:14:36LAUGHTER

0:14:36 > 0:14:38- That is yours to keep, Harrison.- Thank you.

0:14:38 > 0:14:40- The only one-man fan club in the world.- Cheers, thank you very much.

0:14:40 > 0:14:42CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:14:42 > 0:14:44Been a great sport. Thanks for coming. Glad you really enjoyed it.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46- Lovely.- Let's have a look at your highlights.- Thanks.

0:14:46 > 0:14:48I've just been born.

0:14:48 > 0:14:50Harrison, nice to meet you.

0:14:50 > 0:14:52Harrison's a super nice guy. I've

0:14:52 > 0:14:54never met anybody as warm as him.

0:14:54 > 0:14:56- Two for 15, then.- Yeah? Perfect.

0:14:56 > 0:14:57- Cos you've smiled.- Thank you!

0:14:57 > 0:14:59- Well...- There you go.- ..there we go.

0:14:59 > 0:15:00- Other paw?- Oh!- Yay!

0:15:00 > 0:15:02- Well done, we performed.- Yeah. - Well done, everybody.

0:15:02 > 0:15:04He's kind, he's got a huge heart,

0:15:04 > 0:15:06and he's a gentleman, as well.

0:15:06 > 0:15:07I take a lot of positives from that.

0:15:07 > 0:15:09I'm happy to go two packs each.

0:15:09 > 0:15:10Thank you very much.

0:15:10 > 0:15:12The way they've mixed in new buildings

0:15:12 > 0:15:14with the old is literally ingenious.

0:15:14 > 0:15:16Healthy, kicking, chicken curry.

0:15:16 > 0:15:18I think gold ghost.

0:15:18 > 0:15:20That's my main concern at the moment, chickens, funnily enough.

0:15:20 > 0:15:21# I did it...

0:15:21 > 0:15:25# My way. #

0:15:25 > 0:15:27Harrison's the greatest gentleman in the house.

0:15:27 > 0:15:29He's polite, kind and courteous,

0:15:29 > 0:15:31and his mother should be proud of him.

0:15:31 > 0:15:33- AUDIENCE:- Aw...

0:15:36 > 0:15:38Ladies and gentlemen, Harrison Jones!

0:15:41 > 0:15:44Hot on Harrison's Louboutin heels, the second candidate to get

0:15:44 > 0:15:47Kate Moss to ride out of the process was poor Jade.

0:15:47 > 0:15:51Jade, this was a big mess-up.

0:15:51 > 0:15:54I've definitely been able to prove myself on the other tasks, though.

0:15:54 > 0:15:57- And the business plan...- Yeah, Jade, I don't want to hear any more.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59I'm sorry. You're fired.

0:15:59 > 0:16:02Thank you for the opportunity, it's been unbelievable. Thank you.

0:16:10 > 0:16:12Please welcome Jade English!

0:16:12 > 0:16:13CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:16:20 > 0:16:21Hello.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25How are you feeling, Jade?

0:16:25 > 0:16:29Oh, I'm gutted that I'm not there in the final five but, yeah,

0:16:29 > 0:16:31it was such an amazing experience.

0:16:31 > 0:16:34Did you think you'd be in the final five?

0:16:34 > 0:16:36Do you know what, I thought after I'd project managed,

0:16:36 > 0:16:38I got the highest win of the series,

0:16:38 > 0:16:41I was, like, absolutely, I've bossed it, of course I'm going to make it.

0:16:41 > 0:16:43And then when I didn't...

0:16:43 > 0:16:45Yeah, I was really gutted, to be fair.

0:16:45 > 0:16:48You lost by 3,000 quid.

0:16:48 > 0:16:50- I know!- You don't muck about.

0:16:50 > 0:16:53- When you lose, you lose.- Yeah, but when I win, I win, right?

0:16:53 > 0:16:56That's it. You win big, you lose big.

0:16:56 > 0:16:58Patrick, you're our fashion expert.

0:16:58 > 0:17:01- Is she unlucky to be sat here or not?- I think she's unlucky.

0:17:01 > 0:17:05I think she got chucked under the bus royally by her team-mates,

0:17:05 > 0:17:08who had no intention of taking this task on.

0:17:08 > 0:17:12I think you made a decision at the beginning which I think

0:17:12 > 0:17:13a lot of people would have made.

0:17:13 > 0:17:16You were lured into the sort of glitz

0:17:16 > 0:17:18and glamour of the high ticket fashion which I think

0:17:18 > 0:17:20a lot of people would have made the same mistake.

0:17:20 > 0:17:22That was the undoing of the entire task.

0:17:22 > 0:17:25After that, there was nothing that could have been done to win it,

0:17:25 > 0:17:28- I don't think.- Dane, if you got fired, what would your exit be?

0:17:28 > 0:17:30Would you go quietly?

0:17:30 > 0:17:33I'll be honest, I think you handled that in a very dignified manner,

0:17:33 > 0:17:36Jade, cos if I was fired, I'd have been going mental.

0:17:36 > 0:17:39I'd have personally been going crazy, been very vocal

0:17:39 > 0:17:41and been like, "I'll tell you something else,

0:17:41 > 0:17:43"Alan Sugar, most of these people owned a Commodore.

0:17:43 > 0:17:45"I had an Amstrad." And then maybe,

0:17:45 > 0:17:47as I was being dragged out by security,

0:17:47 > 0:17:49I'd be like, "Well, you know something, Lord Sugar?

0:17:49 > 0:17:51"I support Arsenal anyway."

0:17:52 > 0:17:55So, despite her passion for fashion, Jade managed to lead her team

0:17:55 > 0:17:59all the way down the catwalk and straight into its litter tray.

0:17:59 > 0:18:01Let's see where it all went wrong.

0:18:01 > 0:18:05Jade, I mean, she has admitted she made a mistake on this,

0:18:05 > 0:18:08- made a mistake on that.- We can ask if we could offer a discount.

0:18:08 > 0:18:09- Discount to the buyer?- Yeah.

0:18:09 > 0:18:12We can't offer any discounts because we haven't...

0:18:12 > 0:18:14Well, I haven't negotiated that.

0:18:14 > 0:18:16It says Hellavagirl, is that who you're talking about?

0:18:16 > 0:18:19When we've spoken to her, she'd wanted to put Helen Woollams.

0:18:19 > 0:18:21OK, fine.

0:18:21 > 0:18:24My only issue is it's Helen Woollams as opposed to Hellavagirl.

0:18:25 > 0:18:28I think, as project manager, Jade took on a lot

0:18:28 > 0:18:29of the responsibility

0:18:29 > 0:18:31and she wasn't strong enough to see it through.

0:18:31 > 0:18:33You're not going to be able to get this

0:18:33 > 0:18:35anywhere else, and have

0:18:35 > 0:18:38that really quality-based ingredient.

0:18:38 > 0:18:41I have no idea what Jade's talking about.

0:18:41 > 0:18:43I don't think they do, either.

0:18:43 > 0:18:47Jade, you admitted all of the errors

0:18:47 > 0:18:50and mistakes that were made in this task.

0:18:50 > 0:18:53Lots to talk about there but let's start from the beginning.

0:18:53 > 0:18:54You chose the designer.

0:18:54 > 0:18:57Difficult clothes, I guess, if you're not an expert to sell,

0:18:57 > 0:19:00- to describe.- Yeah, definitely.

0:19:00 > 0:19:04So, I think that was the most uncomfortable part for me

0:19:04 > 0:19:08because I didn't necessarily know what each piece was about.

0:19:08 > 0:19:11- So I had to make it up as I went along.- Yeah.

0:19:11 > 0:19:13It was painful, wasn't it?

0:19:13 > 0:19:15"Look at these, ladies and gentlemen,

0:19:15 > 0:19:17"fresh, quality ingredients."

0:19:17 > 0:19:19I know, when I said "ingredients,"

0:19:19 > 0:19:24- I was thinking, "Oh, that was last week's task."- Last week's food task.

0:19:24 > 0:19:26The other team had it so easy, didn't they?

0:19:26 > 0:19:29The other team were, like, "Here we go, a pair of trousers.

0:19:29 > 0:19:31"Oh, look, a top."

0:19:31 > 0:19:33Angela, if you had to represent a designer,

0:19:33 > 0:19:36would you have gone for that kind of thing, or...?

0:19:36 > 0:19:38This is going to sound terrible,

0:19:38 > 0:19:40would you have gone for something a bit more low-end?

0:19:40 > 0:19:42I think somewhere in the middle.

0:19:42 > 0:19:45You don't want to go to kind of too low where you're competing

0:19:45 > 0:19:48with the high street, cos you can never compete

0:19:48 > 0:19:50with the high street, in terms of pricing.

0:19:50 > 0:19:52But, yeah, somewhere in the middle,

0:19:52 > 0:19:54somewhere that has a good origin story, that has a collaboration,

0:19:54 > 0:19:58that has something interesting to talk about, maybe a new fabric.

0:19:58 > 0:20:02But it's really difficult to sell at that price point

0:20:02 > 0:20:03and it's quite intimidating.

0:20:03 > 0:20:06I think for you, even in terms of describing it and selling it,

0:20:06 > 0:20:11and the language that surrounds it, and then the audience looked...

0:20:11 > 0:20:14- slightly dumbfounded.- You're surrounded by people like Patrick

0:20:14 > 0:20:16who know this industry. It must have been so intimidating.

0:20:16 > 0:20:19You know, you didn't pick up on the fact that she went by this

0:20:19 > 0:20:22brand Hellavagirl and that's what she wanted to be promoted as.

0:20:22 > 0:20:23You sort of got away with it.

0:20:23 > 0:20:26There was a lovely moment where you sort of fudged it, said,

0:20:26 > 0:20:29"Oh, we're trying to promote the designer, go beyond the brand."

0:20:29 > 0:20:32- I mean, total bollocks, wasn't it? - A little bit.

0:20:32 > 0:20:36So, when they brought that up in the pitch, at Stylist, I think

0:20:36 > 0:20:38you could see on my face thinking...

0:20:38 > 0:20:41"Oh... Oh, no. What has happened here?"

0:20:41 > 0:20:45So, moving forward, when Helen came up to me, I thought, right...

0:20:46 > 0:20:49Yeah, I mean, I've got put my hands up here.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52- Take those balloons down right now. - Jade got sort of...

0:20:52 > 0:20:54They sort of got away with it, the designer took it very well,

0:20:54 > 0:20:59and quite good at lying. I mean, creative excuses.

0:20:59 > 0:21:01Would you have been good in that environment, could you have

0:21:01 > 0:21:02come up with something there?

0:21:02 > 0:21:05I would have definitely come up with some creative excuses.

0:21:05 > 0:21:07I'm someone, Jade, I never tell lies. I always tell the truth.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09Doesn't mean that my truthful answer is the answer

0:21:09 > 0:21:12to your question at the time, but it's always the truth.

0:21:12 > 0:21:14Like, for example, "Hey, Dane, why are you late for work?"

0:21:14 > 0:21:15"My grandad died."

0:21:15 > 0:21:18That happened in 1997. But, still...

0:21:18 > 0:21:20Therefore it's not a lie.

0:21:20 > 0:21:24Well, Jade may not have got everything right this week but it's

0:21:24 > 0:21:28not easy when you're essentially operating as a one-woman sub team.

0:21:32 > 0:21:37# All by myself... #

0:21:37 > 0:21:40Oh. There we go.

0:21:40 > 0:21:42You made Harrison's day.

0:21:42 > 0:21:44# Don't want to live

0:21:44 > 0:21:48# All by myself... #

0:21:48 > 0:21:49Yes, Elizabeth!

0:21:49 > 0:21:51# Celebrate good times, come on! #

0:21:51 > 0:21:53# ..any more

0:21:55 > 0:21:56# All by myself... #

0:21:56 > 0:21:58APPLAUSE

0:22:00 > 0:22:02So, let's talk about the final five a little bit.

0:22:02 > 0:22:06Joanna is the candidate I can tell you with the strongest record.

0:22:06 > 0:22:09Statistically, out of 10, she's got eight wins.

0:22:09 > 0:22:13You and Joanna, famously, you've had your ups and downs.

0:22:13 > 0:22:14I can't remember any ups.

0:22:14 > 0:22:17Was it hard to be beaten by her this week?

0:22:17 > 0:22:20Do you know what, I think we're both just quite similar people in

0:22:20 > 0:22:24the fact that we're both fighting for the same ambition,

0:22:24 > 0:22:25and we do have strong personalities

0:22:25 > 0:22:29and sometimes you can't get on with everybody in business. And it sucks.

0:22:29 > 0:22:32I would have loved to have got on with everybody in the process

0:22:32 > 0:22:36but you can't. And I wish her all the best. So, there you go.

0:22:36 > 0:22:38Angela, would you like to see Joanna in the final?

0:22:38 > 0:22:39No.

0:22:39 > 0:22:41LAUGHTER

0:22:41 > 0:22:45No, I really want to bring her home and give her a cup of tea.

0:22:45 > 0:22:48She looks like she's going to cry every time I look at her.

0:22:48 > 0:22:50She may buckle under the interrogation in the interview

0:22:50 > 0:22:53stage. I just can't see her ploughing through that.

0:22:53 > 0:22:56What do you think, Patrick? Joanna at the interview stage.

0:22:56 > 0:23:01Yeah, I think she definitely appears a little fragile. And...

0:23:01 > 0:23:06You know, I haven't seen much of her that I've been madly impressed by.

0:23:06 > 0:23:10I think she seems like a perfectly nice person but I can't...

0:23:10 > 0:23:13I can't see where the fire is.

0:23:13 > 0:23:15Michaela? Four losses, six wins.

0:23:15 > 0:23:19You know, I think the way she dealt with...with a customer who...

0:23:19 > 0:23:24..who said no wasn't entirely the most professional.

0:23:24 > 0:23:27But I like her. She is a straight talker,

0:23:27 > 0:23:30she looks like she wants to roll her sleeves up and get stuck in.

0:23:30 > 0:23:33She's all about the hustle and she's all about the graft,

0:23:33 > 0:23:35and I think Lord Sugar really responds to that sort of ethic.

0:23:35 > 0:23:38Can you see her going through the interview stage?

0:23:38 > 0:23:40I think she has a really good chance, yeah.

0:23:40 > 0:23:44So, Jade, unfortunately, Lord Sugar will not be investing in you

0:23:44 > 0:23:46but he does have this advice for your future.

0:23:47 > 0:23:51Now, Jade has been an avid seller throughout the whole of the process.

0:23:51 > 0:23:55She's been very enthusiastic and always got stuck into sales.

0:23:55 > 0:23:59Now, sometimes her enthusiasm detracts her from

0:23:59 > 0:24:01working on the detail.

0:24:01 > 0:24:05In this particular task, for example, she focused

0:24:05 > 0:24:06on the designer's name

0:24:06 > 0:24:09rather than the designer's brand name.

0:24:09 > 0:24:12In business, the devil is always in the detail.

0:24:12 > 0:24:16And Jade needs to focus on detail, I think, in future.

0:24:16 > 0:24:20And, if she does that, she should do very well in her business career.

0:24:22 > 0:24:24What was your business plan, Jade?

0:24:24 > 0:24:26It's a revolutionary website that will help people

0:24:26 > 0:24:28fulfil their career dreams.

0:24:28 > 0:24:32However, I'm going to follow up with my broadcast journalism degree

0:24:32 > 0:24:34while seeking investment in my business still.

0:24:34 > 0:24:37- OK, good luck with that.- Thank you. - Well, Lord Sugar made his decision

0:24:37 > 0:24:40but does our panel feel it was the right one? Patrick?

0:24:40 > 0:24:42Despite a bit of a clanger this time, I think

0:24:42 > 0:24:46throughout the process you've been one of the stronger candidates,

0:24:46 > 0:24:47and I would have hired you.

0:24:47 > 0:24:49- Angela?- I agree.

0:24:49 > 0:24:52I think Lord Sugar should have given Jade a break this week.

0:24:52 > 0:24:55There were definitely weaker candidates on both teams

0:24:55 > 0:24:58- and she just got a little bit unlucky, I think.- Dane?

0:24:58 > 0:25:01I feel like, in this instance, he made a good decision

0:25:01 > 0:25:04but when you juxtapose the decision for that week with

0:25:04 > 0:25:07all of your previous work, I don't think it was particularly fair.

0:25:07 > 0:25:09Well, it's time to find out what our audience thinks.

0:25:09 > 0:25:11If you agree with Lord Sugar, hold up "Fired".

0:25:11 > 0:25:14- If you disagree, hold up "Hired". - I can see you all.

0:25:17 > 0:25:22- Look at that. I think that's green. - Yeah, definitely hired!

0:25:22 > 0:25:24It is definitely green, you are hired!

0:25:24 > 0:25:26CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:25:27 > 0:25:30Well, Jade, nobody leaves here empty-handed,

0:25:30 > 0:25:32so I thought I'd get you a beautiful dress.

0:25:32 > 0:25:37Unfortunately, I'm not a very good negotiator. And I only negotiated...

0:25:37 > 0:25:39..10% of a dress.

0:25:41 > 0:25:43If you'd like to stand up, Jade.

0:25:43 > 0:25:48- I mean, the dress was fantastic that this sleeve came off.- I love it.

0:25:48 > 0:25:50If you'd like to pop that on...

0:25:50 > 0:25:52- So chic.- There. That is it.

0:25:52 > 0:25:54How about that, ladies and gentlemen?

0:25:54 > 0:25:5610% of a beautiful dress.

0:25:56 > 0:25:59Jade, thanks for coming on the show, you've been a great sport,

0:25:59 > 0:26:01let's have a look at your highlights.

0:26:01 > 0:26:02Jade, nice to meet you.

0:26:02 > 0:26:04This is so much fun!

0:26:04 > 0:26:05Thank you, Tom!

0:26:05 > 0:26:06Action!

0:26:06 > 0:26:09Jade is kind. Jade is giving.

0:26:09 > 0:26:10Jade is funny.

0:26:10 > 0:26:13- I've just done his bottom.- Have you?

0:26:13 > 0:26:15But, more to the point, Jade's very talented.

0:26:15 > 0:26:17One...two...

0:26:17 > 0:26:19I know I'm handsy but that's handsy.

0:26:19 > 0:26:21Turn a negative into a positive.

0:26:21 > 0:26:23And I'm going to pitch my bum off.

0:26:23 > 0:26:25Thank you very much. Thank you.

0:26:25 > 0:26:26Jade's fantastic and,

0:26:26 > 0:26:29yeah, she's just got a real energy about her.

0:26:29 > 0:26:30SHE SCREAMS

0:26:30 > 0:26:31Give us a "Grr!"

0:26:31 > 0:26:33Jade is, in every way,

0:26:33 > 0:26:35a fabulous human being.

0:26:36 > 0:26:37Cheers!

0:26:41 > 0:26:44Ladies and gentlemen, Jade English!

0:26:44 > 0:26:45CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:26:48 > 0:26:51And, also, please thank tonight's Apprentice fans and guests,

0:26:51 > 0:26:54Patrick Grant, Angela Scanlon, and Dane Baptiste.

0:26:58 > 0:27:00And if you think you have what it takes to be Lord Sugar's business

0:27:00 > 0:27:04partner, applications are still open to take part in next year's series.

0:27:04 > 0:27:07Head over to:

0:27:07 > 0:27:08for more details.

0:27:08 > 0:27:10Next week, our five remaining candidates

0:27:10 > 0:27:12take on their toughest task yet.

0:27:12 > 0:27:15Head-to-head interviews with Lord Sugar's most trusted aides.

0:27:15 > 0:27:18An experience so harsh it makes the boardroom

0:27:18 > 0:27:20look like an episode of the Antiques Roadshow.

0:27:20 > 0:27:24I've asked four of my most trusted business advisers to go

0:27:24 > 0:27:29over your plans. So you better hope everything is in order.

0:27:29 > 0:27:31Just get through it, don't be sick.

0:27:31 > 0:27:34My business structure is very, very... Um...

0:27:35 > 0:27:37How do you feel about confrontation?

0:27:37 > 0:27:38Fine.

0:27:38 > 0:27:42This makes you look like a rank amateur.

0:27:42 > 0:27:45# The final countdown... #

0:27:45 > 0:27:47You've got no product.

0:27:47 > 0:27:48Nobody's perfect. I'm sure there's things

0:27:56 > 0:27:58Oh, my God.

0:28:02 > 0:28:04- Did they sack you?- They did, yeah.

0:28:04 > 0:28:07I think you should take your tone down.
