:09:45. > :09:47.Yes, Lord Sugar.

:09:47. > :09:53.OK, that's good. Now, you're going to meet four colleagues of mine.

:09:53. > :09:55.They will be studying your business plan

:09:55. > :09:57.and talking to you in great detail.

:09:57. > :10:00.And tomorrow, they're going to feed that information back to me

:10:00. > :10:03.and based on that information,

:10:03. > :10:06.I will be deciding which one of you- will be my business partner.

:11:24. > :11:26.There is a huge amount at stake. Yes, that's true.

:11:26. > :11:28.Would you say you're an experienced interviewee?

:11:28. > :11:33.No, I've never had an interview before, so this is my first day of interviews.

:11:54. > :11:56.Let's have a look at your CV,

:11:56. > :12:01.because intelligence is one of the characteristics on which you pride yourself.

:12:01. > :12:05."My intelligence makes my thinking better, my decisions wiser.

:12:05. > :12:09."My intelligence makes people more receptiveto the communication of my ideas."

:12:35. > :12:37.That's Lord Sugar's money and his reputation,

:12:37. > :12:39.and my job is to make sure that he goes into business

:12:39. > :12:41.with someone that's going to be successful.

:12:41. > :12:45.I opened your application. Yes. There's so many things in there

:12:45. > :12:52.that basically make me want to be sick.

:12:52. > :12:56.Finally, Lord Sugar's former global- trouble-shooter, Claude Littner.

:12:56. > :13:00.King of the killer question,

:13:00. > :13:06.and here to find pitfalls in potential partners' plans.

:13:06. > :13:08.I have got to say that I'm pretty underwhelmed

:13:08. > :13:12.by both your CV and your business plan.

:13:13. > :13:19.Frankly, it's a pretty grubby little business you're proposing.

:13:19. > :13:22.A grubby business? Well, it is, really. Explain it.

:13:22. > :13:25.The call centre will phone people with a very easy script.

:13:25. > :13:28.So, it's a high volume business where you can make a lot of money

:13:28. > :13:32.if you're putting premiums on just passing over a lead.

:13:32. > :13:35.The large sectors that want these qualified leads

:13:35. > :13:39.are in solar panels, mobile phones and also in debt.

:13:39. > :13:44.But you're sort of trying to capture people who really don't want to hear from you.

:13:44. > :13:46.In the evening when I'm at home, I don't want cold calls

:13:46. > :13:49.telling me about the fact that Icould save money on my energy bills.

:13:49. > :13:52.You have got people who perhaps have fallen into debt

:13:52. > :13:54.and you're going to get leads, try and sell those leads on.

:13:54. > :13:56.It's a bit...unsavoury.

:13:56. > :14:01.How do you think Jade's will be on a scale of one to ten?

:14:01. > :14:02.Two. Three.

:14:02. > :14:04.Two, three!

:14:04. > :14:10.THEY LAUGH

:14:10. > :14:12.Looking at some of the numbers here,

:14:12. > :14:16.you haven't provided in your business plan a cash flow.

:14:16. > :14:20.That's pretty important. There's not- a balance sheet here either.

:14:20. > :14:23.That is quite useful.

:14:23. > :14:27.Unfortunately, what's included is included.

:14:27. > :14:30.What it shows is that you haven't really got a business plan.

:14:30. > :14:33.It's a fact. The other thing that I'm perplexed about

:14:33. > :14:38.is the fact that month one,you're showing a particular turnover, that's lovely.

:14:38. > :14:42.The trouble is that you have got no costs. You have got no costs.

:14:42. > :14:45.How do you produce...?

:14:45. > :14:48.I would like to know,because this is a real money-winner.

:14:48. > :14:51.Zero overheads, you haven't got a telephone that you're paying for.

:14:51. > :14:54.The overheads have already been paid for - there obviously are- overheads there.

:14:54. > :14:58.But that's... That is part of the 250,000 investment.

:14:58. > :15:01.That is absurd. Honestly, I've never seen anything like that.

:15:01. > :15:04.It's not the way to do it. OK. It isn't.

:15:04. > :15:08.250,000 will pay for all data, all employment...

:15:08. > :15:12.And how much have you got left? Nothing. No, no, no...

:15:12. > :15:17.In six months, you've blown it? You've blown it in six months?

:15:17. > :15:19.She's out.

:15:19. > :15:23.I got absolutely slaughtered!

:15:23. > :15:26.I'd quite like a drink.

:15:26. > :15:30.Well, here you are now in the final four.

:15:30. > :15:37.Classifying yourself as Thor in the Nordic pantheon. I did, yes.

:15:37. > :15:43."Lord Sugar is already a business god, but call me Thor.

:15:43. > :15:46."I'm the next generation who, with the backing of the Godfather of business,

:15:46. > :15:49."I will take over his empire."

:15:49. > :15:52.It's an extremely bold statement and I think the point I was trying to put across there

:15:52. > :15:56.is first of all to differentiate myself to other people who are applying in this process.

:15:56. > :15:58.They're not all gods, you mean?

:15:58. > :16:00.No, they're not, but what I was trying to say is that

:16:00. > :16:05.I think Thor is somebody descended from the heavens.

:16:05. > :16:07.So, my point I was trying to put across

:16:07. > :16:09.is I'm somebody who can bring a new dimension to the marketplace.

:16:09. > :16:11.You're a reincarnation of Lord Sugar, are you?

:16:11. > :16:13.Not a direct reincarnation,

:16:13. > :16:18.but I think there's elements of his- career I think I have replicated.

:16:18. > :16:23.When I read this business plan, it looked to me like an academic exercise.

:16:23. > :16:28.A very good piece of work that you do for an MBA or something like that.

:16:28. > :16:33.It didn't look likeit was a really good piece of work for really starting a business.

:16:33. > :16:39.So, just tell me in plain Englishwhat the point of the business is.

:16:39. > :16:43.Any recipe on the internet or on television, or in a recipe book,

:16:43. > :16:49.my system would automatically allow you to purchase all the ingredients for that recipe with a single click.

:16:49. > :16:50.So when you click that button, it would say,

:16:50. > :16:52."Would you like to buy it from supermarket A, B or C?"

:16:52. > :16:56.Give you all the prices for the ingredients in there.

:16:56. > :16:59.It knows what combinations of different ingredients you buy from different websites,

:16:59. > :17:03.so you add five different recipes from five different websites to the same shopping basket.

:17:03. > :17:06.It shows you best price combination- of ingredients.

:17:06. > :17:09.Do I care? I don't think anyone will be bothered.

:17:09. > :17:14.Life is too short. Life is too short.

:17:14. > :17:17.I do think Nick might have an uphill struggle with his business plan.

:17:17. > :17:20.Quite ambitious, yeah. Big challenge.

:17:20. > :17:22.Nick needs to be careful he's not patronising.

:17:22. > :17:27.Needs to be careful he's... Listening.

:17:27. > :17:30.It's not an essential. It's an irrelevance.

:17:30. > :17:31.You're not the target market.

:17:32. > :17:35.The target market would say it is a useful tool. I wonder.

:17:35. > :17:38.I struggle. I struggle to know whether that's the case.

:17:38. > :17:41.This could become one of the big global players on the market and I do truly believe that.

:17:41. > :17:43.It's just not worth the effort.

:17:43. > :17:45.That's not a fair comment, I don't think.

:17:45. > :17:47.Every household in the UK would want to use this system.

:17:47. > :17:48.Not just in the UK, but also internationally.

:17:48. > :17:50.Not every household.

:17:50. > :17:53.It's a Google or Facebook, it's got potential to be.

:17:53. > :17:58.Dream on.

:17:58. > :18:01.You look like you've been dragged through a hedge.

:18:01. > :18:06.It's like being under fire. It's like being in a war zone.

:18:06. > :18:10.I've a glowing employment reference.- I'll read it to you. OK.

:18:10. > :18:15.It says, "What is very evident is Tom's natural ability to focus on the challenge

:18:15. > :18:18."and develop an approach which delivers results."

:18:18. > :18:20.It goes on. "I do firmly officially believe

:18:20. > :18:24."you have an excellent apprentice who truly has the skill sets to deliver."

:18:24. > :18:29.That is pretty good, isn't it?

:18:29. > :18:32.Yeah, I'm happy with that. Who do you think said that?

:18:32. > :18:36.I'm not sure. I'm not sure at all.

:18:36. > :18:39.It actually was your father. OK.

:18:39. > :18:43.Your father is an investment banker and the wine company that you run

:18:43. > :18:45.is also owned by your father as well as yourself.

:18:45. > :18:49.So, how much of your business plan did your father write?

:18:49. > :18:53.He didn't write any of it. None of it at all? No.

:18:53. > :18:56.So, it would be unfair tocharacterise you as a daddy's boy?

:18:56. > :18:59.I feel so, yeah.

:18:59. > :19:06.In this business, you're selling wine as an investment for people who won't ever drink it. Yeah.

:19:06. > :19:09.It's a very sophisticated business plan.

:19:09. > :19:12.I've never written anything as sophisticated as this.

:19:12. > :19:13.Really? It's actually all my work.

:19:13. > :19:16.The investment strategy is what I use within my business.

:19:16. > :19:18.We have 300 private clients in 21 different countries

:19:18. > :19:24.and my father only joined the company after it had already posted- revenues of 1.25 million.

:19:24. > :19:27.So, tonight, I'm going to make shepherd's pie,

:19:27. > :19:29.so I go onto your website,

:19:29. > :19:31.I see the recipe, I don't really care where I get the ingredients from.

:19:31. > :19:34.I just want to buy them.

:19:34. > :19:37.In reality, Joe Bloggs likes to go to maybe a celebrity chef website, get one recipe from there,

:19:37. > :19:40.get another recipe from another website, another one from website C.

:19:40. > :19:44.Who does that? You do purchase four or five recipes at once.

:19:44. > :19:46.Who does? If you look at young families...

:19:46. > :19:49.Who has time to plan out what they're going to eat...?

:19:49. > :19:51.Monday's lasagne, Tues... Who does that?

:19:52. > :19:55.Lots of families do that. Are there? Yes. I don't see it.

:19:55. > :19:56.They're busy, they've got two kids or something like that.

:19:57. > :20:00.They want to come in, makea quick meal, get the kids bathed, get them to bed.

:20:00. > :20:02.I agree it's a complex business model,

:20:02. > :20:06.but 52% of people use online recipes, so there is a big market for it.

:20:06. > :20:12.OK, so one of the things I'vepicked up on is, you're a young guy,- you're on business number three.

:20:12. > :20:15.Just explain your current business to me.

:20:15. > :20:18.The business I'm currently in is a platform for mobile barcodes.

:20:18. > :20:20.Is this going to be a successful business?

:20:20. > :20:23.I think it could make two, three, four million pounds.

:20:23. > :20:28.You could make two, three, or fourmillion pounds and you're thinking of setting up another one up?

:20:28. > :20:30.Are you smoking something? Get on with that business.

:20:30. > :20:34.What on earth are you doing? What are you even doing sat here?

:20:34. > :20:37.I believe that the business plan in front of you has potential to make more than that.

:20:38. > :20:40.So, your previous business partner, we spoke to him

:20:40. > :20:43.and he said your big downfall is focus.

:20:43. > :20:45.Did he say that? Yes.

:20:45. > :20:49.I think the key thing is not focus,- it's about success in a business.

:20:49. > :20:52.I disagree. It's always about focus,- it's always about the detail.

:20:52. > :20:59.I'm 100% aware that focus is something that I need to... focus on!

:20:59. > :21:02.Your real name is Richard Martin. Yes.

:21:02. > :21:05.But you call yourself Ricky Martin. I do, yes.

:21:05. > :21:09.The same as the famous Latino pop star. Why is that? Do you like his music?

:21:09. > :21:12.To be honest, using the name Ricky Martin

:21:12. > :21:14.worked exceptionally well in sales,- people remember the name.

:21:15. > :21:18.I'm trying to use any ability I can- to get people to remember me.

:21:18. > :21:22.You've also got other names as well.- you've got Ricky Hype. I have.

:21:22. > :21:28.The Superstar Ricky Hype. The Fitness Ricky Hype. Why?

:21:28. > :21:31.Outside of business, I've got a hobby, which is professional wrestling.

:21:31. > :21:33.And that is the character which I portray within wrestling.

:21:33. > :21:37.It all sounds a bit more showbusiness than real business. Yeah.

:21:37. > :21:39.Do you think people take you less seriously in business

:21:39. > :21:46.because they can't stop imagining you in a pair of Lycra pants?

:21:46. > :21:52.You say one of the most interestingthing about you is your upbringing. It wasn't conventional.

:21:52. > :21:56.Being half-Swiss, I was brought up very focused on outdoor activities.

:21:56. > :22:00.Building camps in the forest, woodworking, sewing.

:22:00. > :22:04.So, I didn't have a TV.

:22:04. > :22:09.So, as soon as you got a computer, aged 16, you became obsessed with it?

:22:09. > :22:13.Yeah, I think not having had it made me want it more.

:22:13. > :22:16.And when I did get one, I did spend a lot of time with it.

:22:16. > :22:21.So, one could say obsessed - I did turn into a bit of a geek.

:22:21. > :22:25.Probably still am a bit of a geek now.

:22:25. > :22:28.In your application form, you say that you're an incredible businesswoman.

:22:29. > :22:34.Did you do any business studies at all at university or college?

:22:34. > :22:36.When I was at university, I did graphic design,

:22:36. > :22:39.but we did business practice within that.

:22:39. > :22:41.But it wasn't business plan writing,

:22:41. > :22:45.it was more just dealing with the business side when designing for people.

:22:45. > :22:48.Are you sure about that? Well, we did some business modules.

:22:48. > :22:52.Nothing else to tell me? No.

:22:52. > :22:58.You didn't do a business A-level and get an N? For business?

:22:58. > :23:01.Oh, my business. That little bit of information!

:23:01. > :23:07.You know what? For some reason, that bit's been taken out of my mind for now. Seriously?

:23:07. > :23:13."I was known as a BNOC -big name on campus - at university."

:23:13. > :23:15.What's that about?

:23:15. > :23:18.I was just trying to say that whatever area that I'm in,

:23:18. > :23:20.I obviously try and make myself well known.

:23:20. > :23:24.I wondered if you were sure that N stood for "name"?

:23:24. > :23:26.Yeah.

:23:26. > :23:30.I would like to examinein great detail some of the points you make in your business plan.

:23:30. > :23:36.You want to launch a fund and raise 25 million to invest in the wine industry. Correct.

:23:36. > :23:41.25 million is a hell of a sum to raise

:23:41. > :23:45.with a company that is untested with a young guy who hasn't really got a long track record.

:23:45. > :23:48.It's a big leap, I know. That's my problem.

:23:48. > :23:50.This is my chance to take what I've got now and grow it.

:23:50. > :23:53.I can do it. I've proved it over the last two years.

:23:54. > :23:57.Why would I deal with youas opposed to dealing with someone who is more established,

:23:57. > :23:59.who perhaps I've been dealing with for the past 20 years?

:23:59. > :24:02.The reason I want to do this is because I've had demand,

:24:02. > :24:06.I've had people read our articles and go, "Do you know what? I want to come to you guys."

:24:06. > :24:10.It would appear that at the tender age of... How old are you? 23.

:24:11. > :24:16.You claim on your personal statement, "I am entirely well-rounded."

:24:16. > :24:20.I think I've learned a lot of business skills.

:24:20. > :24:24.You may well have done, but that doesn't mean to say you are entirely well-rounded.

:24:24. > :24:28.I'm self-assured, I'm confident in my abilities, and hopefully I can take that further in life.

:24:28. > :24:31.But the problem is that you haven't got enough experience and you're 23 years old.

:24:31. > :24:34.Can you raise the money? I say you can't. Yeah...

:24:34. > :24:37.So, the business concept falls apart- before you even start,

:24:37. > :24:38.because I don't think you can raise the money.

:24:38. > :24:40.I think I can sell it, I honestly do.

:24:40. > :24:48.I honestly think you can't. 25 million, that's a fortune.

:24:48. > :24:53.He's out. God, you were in there for ages, mate. Was I? Yeah.

:24:53. > :24:57.How did it go? Stressful.

:24:57. > :25:00.Really? Tough, it was tough.

:25:00. > :25:02.Out of ten?

:25:02. > :25:06.Two. Really?

:25:06. > :25:11.You look destroyed!

:25:11. > :25:14.I've no doubt you can do the recruitment you do every day.

:25:14. > :25:16.The thing I don't get is whether you've got the business skills to start a business.

:25:16. > :25:19.How are you going to react when the clients haven't come,

:25:19. > :25:21.you've employed three employees and they're useless

:25:21. > :25:26.and it's all going wrong and you've got Lord Sugar all over you like a Rottweiler?

:25:26. > :25:29.I think for me, I'm not somebody who buckles under pressure.

:25:29. > :25:32.I think the entire process so far has shown that, and I do appreciate that.

:25:32. > :25:35.You can't turn up at the end of week and say, "Sorry, Lord Sugar, I haven't hit my targets."

:25:35. > :25:38.But I've got the backing behind me both academically...

:25:38. > :25:42.My degree's in medical biochemistry, my five years in recruitment is in the scientific arena.

:25:42. > :25:45.I think that's a great story so that I can launch that company and say, "This is my background.

:25:45. > :25:48."This what I've done."

:25:48. > :25:50.You say there is a brick wall there, Yep. As cliched as it sounds,

:25:50. > :25:53.I feel I will be the sledgehammer to go through that.

:25:53. > :25:59.I'm going to make a success of this- and I won't stop until I do that.

:25:59. > :26:01.Explain to me your proposed business.

:26:01. > :26:05.My proposed business will grow to be the UK's largest telemarketing call centre

:26:05. > :26:08.and it will have a few sectors that it focuses on.

:26:08. > :26:10.One of them will be debt help,

:26:10. > :26:16.one will be mobile phones and one will be energy suppliers.

:26:16. > :26:20.In your business plan, you list four different website addresses

:26:20. > :26:23.that you will use to gather data from.

:26:23. > :26:26.Yeah. These are valuable assets, then. Yeah.

:26:26. > :26:29.These are important things. But are these websites that you...?

:26:29. > :26:31.I have purchased them. You've purchased them all.

:26:31. > :26:33.Yes, the websites are purchased.

:26:33. > :26:38.So, chooseenergysupplier.co.uk. Just to take that one, for example.

:26:38. > :26:40.You don't own that website. I've checked.

:26:40. > :26:44.I do own four in that... out of those.

:26:44. > :26:49.Chooseenergysupplier.co.uk, I own. You own it? I bought it.

:26:49. > :26:53.I might have to buy it off you.

:26:53. > :27:02.OK. The good news is, I'm an entrepreneur. Make me an offer.

:27:03. > :27:08.Ooh!

:27:08. > :27:10.This quarter of a million pounds, I can see it on that table.

:27:10. > :27:14.I don't want one of you three to get it. I want that to be mine.

:27:14. > :27:16.Am I going to get a quarter of a million pounds injected into my business?

:27:16. > :27:25.Yes. So, I'm going to go in there fighting.

:27:25. > :27:35.I just hope he gets as good a grilling as I did.

:27:35. > :27:37.

:27:37. > :27:39.Good morning.

:27:39. > :27:42.Well, Ricky, I've been looking forward to this encounter,

:27:42. > :27:45.because you present something of an enigma to me. OK.

:27:45. > :27:48.Let's start with your personal statement. OK.

:27:48. > :27:52.Which, frankly, is probablythe most crass, obnoxious, infantile

:27:52. > :27:56.personal statement that I've had the... -

:27:56. > :28:01.not really a pleasure -I've had the opportunity of reading.

:28:01. > :28:05.Quite clearly,some of the statements you've made are completely ludicrous.

:28:05. > :28:11.Perhaps you would like to comment on them. No problem at all.

:28:11. > :28:14.You're the best business partner on the planet...

:28:14. > :28:17.You stick by that, do you?

:28:17. > :28:20.I think I'm an exceptionally good business partner. I think I'm a good potential for the future.

:28:20. > :28:27.Hang on a second. The best business partner on the planet, OK?

:28:27. > :28:29.How do you think Ricky's getting on?

:28:29. > :28:33.He'll be getting an absolute battering.

:28:33. > :28:36.You talk about your possible future business partner

:28:36. > :28:40.and you say that you will teach an old dog new tricks.

:28:40. > :28:44.Now, I don't really think that's the way

:28:44. > :28:47.you should be speaking about a business partner

:28:47. > :28:50.and certainly not somebody like Lord Sugar.

:28:50. > :28:52.And I completely agree.

:28:52. > :28:58.It's an immature statement to make and one which I regret putting in there.

:28:58. > :29:02.The problem is that you're an arrogant fool, OK?

:29:02. > :29:08.However, I read your business planand I was quite impressed. Thank you.

:29:08. > :29:12.It was interesting, I thinkit was well written and you've done very well in your career.

:29:12. > :29:15.So, I find it a bit puzzling as to why you chose to just write

:29:15. > :29:21.such rubbish, such nonsense in your personal statement.

:29:22. > :29:24.When I turned up to this process, I had a lot of bravado about me.

:29:24. > :29:28.I was happy to say these bold statements to get myself noticed and to get myself heard,

:29:28. > :29:31.and I'll be honest to say that throughout this process,

:29:31. > :29:35.I've realised a lot about myself and I'm a very different person now.

:29:35. > :29:38.Let's move on from this.

:29:38. > :29:40.The economy is not in great shape at the moment. It's not.

:29:41. > :29:45.And therefore, to me, it would seem that this is not a great time to start this kind of business.

:29:45. > :29:48.I disagree with you entirely.

:29:48. > :29:50.Looking at all the research I put within the business plan,

:29:50. > :29:54.the economy is showing that recruitment is picking up.

:29:54. > :29:56.On the permanent side, the confidence in recruitment is growing.

:29:56. > :29:58.In the private sector, I think over the next year,

:29:58. > :30:02.94% of businesses are either going to maintain head count or increase.

:30:02. > :30:05.The areas which I'm looking at to start with

:30:05. > :30:07.are areas where the economy isn't affected as much.

:30:07. > :30:09.I do believe there's a big market still there.

:30:09. > :30:14.OK, that sounds plausible to me.

:30:14. > :30:17.If Lord Sugar invested 250,000 today,

:30:17. > :30:21.what kind of return would he get at the end of year five?

:30:21. > :30:26.Year five, we're looking at 145 million return.

:30:26. > :30:29.So, you're saying that he would make- 145 million?

:30:29. > :30:33.It's very difficult to put an actual figure

:30:33. > :30:34.on how we will be performing in three to five years.

:30:34. > :30:39.But my job is to try and figure outhow realistic those projections are.

:30:39. > :30:45.So, you're saying 145 million. That's a decent return.

:30:45. > :30:49.Have you any qualifications in...? No, I don't have any qualifications.

:30:49. > :30:52.What experience have you got in hedge funds?

:30:52. > :30:55.I've no experience in hedge funds. But you're saying to me you're going to go and be a hedge fund.

:30:55. > :30:57.Yes. So, would you class yourself as a gambling man?

:30:57. > :30:59.I do take a risk from time to time.

:30:59. > :31:01.The plan sounds like a pretty big risk to me.

:31:01. > :31:07.Rather than thinking we'll start small and build gradually, you're going bang, 25 million. Yeah.

:31:07. > :31:10.The risk profile on this business is huge.

:31:10. > :31:13.I mean, in term of risk, this is an investment hedge fund,

:31:13. > :31:15.so there's going to be some degree of risk,

:31:15. > :31:18.but what better reputation to have Lord Sugar

:31:18. > :31:20.as one of the 50% stakeholders in the hedge fund manager?

:31:20. > :31:26.I don't think you'd have anyone questioning whether I could do it if you've got Lord Sugar backing me.

:31:26. > :31:28.You haven't stuck at any job for very long, have you?

:31:28. > :31:32.In not a short space of time, you've had six jobs?

:31:32. > :31:37.Well, at the of the day, it is, for me, about getting experience and earning more money.

:31:37. > :31:41.My business plan is about what I do- and the contacts that I have.

:31:41. > :31:44.You're right to plan something you know about.

:31:44. > :31:49.So, I think being successful in business is about people with common sense,

:31:49. > :31:52.people getting on with people and relationship building,

:31:52. > :31:56.and all of that has taken me to the end of the process.

:31:56. > :31:58.It is a very simple business model.

:31:58. > :32:01.At the end of the day, it's finding new people for new jobs.

:32:01. > :32:05.If I start in one area and excel, start niche, and this business can think big

:32:05. > :32:07.and we start going throughout the UK, throughout Europe.

:32:07. > :32:10.And that's where I think Lord Sugar- can show me how to do that.

:32:10. > :32:13.I've got to say that you actually come across

:32:13. > :32:18.as somebody who's thought very hard about the business that you want to pursue.

:32:18. > :32:22.So, I've created a prototype and I've integrated it into publishers, into supermarkets.

:32:22. > :32:24.So, I've tested the model there.

:32:24. > :32:29.I now want to scale it and I need money to make it work for millions.

:32:29. > :32:32.If I do get this quarter of a million pounds investment, I can do it.

:32:32. > :32:35.I have managed to build up the strategic links, I have the expertise

:32:35. > :32:37.and I won't let anyone down.

:32:37. > :32:40.I haven't let anyone down in my life and I'm not going to start doing it now.

:32:40. > :32:46.OK, thanks. Cheers.

:32:46. > :32:48.I felt quite emotional at the end of that one.

:32:48. > :32:52.Because it was like putting everything out there. Yeah.

:32:52. > :33:00.I was almost across the table, like, please believe in me, sort of thing.

:33:00. > :33:05.All done, guys. There's no affecting it now.

:33:05. > :33:10.I think I've got a good chance, but I don't think it's definite at all.

:33:10. > :33:13.I don't care if some people bring out a couple of bad points. Nobody's perfect.

:33:13. > :33:23.Much as I'd have said 11 weeks ago,- I'm the perfect person, whatever, nobody's perfect.

:33:23. > :33:23.

:33:23. > :34:06.Apology for the loss of subtitles for 43 seconds

:34:06. > :34:08.I do have a 100% unique business plan.

:34:08. > :34:10.It is something new, it is something different.

:34:10. > :34:14.But if it works, it could be huge.

:34:14. > :34:16.I think that I'm in pole position at the moment.

:34:16. > :34:19.Everyone who's left knows they're going to have to be on the top of their game.

:34:19. > :34:21.But am I being too ambitious? Am I being a bit too risky?

:34:21. > :34:23.I think if Lord Sugar can look past that

:34:23. > :34:28.then I've got a very good chance of being his business partner.

:34:28. > :34:31.I'm adamant that I am a strong enough candidate to be here in the final

:34:31. > :34:36.and I know that the business I'm putting forward will make money.

:34:36. > :34:41.I've always felt destined to set up my own business,

:34:41. > :34:44.so there's no way that I'm going to be a shrinking violet.

:34:44. > :34:52.I'm going to fight.

:34:52. > :35:02.Well, good afternoon and welcome back to the boardroom again.

:35:02. > :35:13.

:35:13. > :35:17.You're here to find me the right partner, and the thing is,

:35:17. > :35:20.I'm a pensioner now and I don't want too much hard work,

:35:20. > :35:24.I don't want to be in there, in the trenches.

:35:24. > :35:28.So, with that in mind, Margaret, where shall we start?

:35:28. > :35:30.Start with Jade.

:35:30. > :35:34.Basically, what she wants to do is set up a call centre and buy leads.

:35:34. > :35:37.Her callers will follow up those leads

:35:37. > :35:40.and then when somebody says, "I'm interested,"

:35:40. > :35:44.she will then pass them as a sort of qualified lead and get a payment for that.

:35:44. > :35:48.My concern on that is, is this something anyone wants any more?

:35:48. > :35:51.Do you want disturbing at home with countless phone calls?

:35:51. > :35:54.I certainly don't want to be disturbed at home. And I don't.

:35:54. > :35:57.I thought one of the biggest flaws within the whole thing

:35:57. > :35:59.was when you look at her business plan,

:35:59. > :36:03.you will see that she has bought four different web addresses.

:36:03. > :36:09.What I found was that one of the web addresses was still available for anyone to go and buy. So I did.

:36:09. > :36:12.You bought it, did you?

:36:12. > :36:17.I thought perhaps she had a lesson to learn.

:36:17. > :36:19.I got the idea she's a good salesperson,

:36:19. > :36:22.but her business plan demonstrates that in month one,

:36:22. > :36:23.with no staff, no office, no nothing, she's making a turnover of 80,000.

:36:23. > :36:29.So, I said to her, how do you do it? How? We'd all like to do that.

:36:29. > :36:32.She had no answer for it.

:36:33. > :36:38.She is sticking to a business she knows a lot about and one she's been successful in.

:36:38. > :36:41.I asked her about why she'd hadso many jobs in a relatively short space of time

:36:41. > :36:43.and she pointed out, quite rightly,

:36:43. > :36:46.that each time she had been promoted- and then she'd moved on to higher things.

:36:46. > :36:49.I think she's relying on her ability to be persuasive face to face,

:36:49. > :36:53.but when she's running a business, she'll not be doing any selling face to face.

:36:53. > :36:56.All right. Claude, do you want to talk to me about Ricky?

:36:56. > :36:58.I'd love to talk to you about Ricky,

:36:59. > :37:00.because his personal statement and application form

:37:00. > :37:04.is just so ludicrousand not very respectful to yourself.

:37:04. > :37:08.For example, apart from taking over your empire very shortly,

:37:08. > :37:12.he's also going to teach an old dog - which I presume he means you - new tricks.

:37:12. > :37:14.Really? Woof, woof! That wasn't great.

:37:14. > :37:18.He likened himself to the god Thor.- He calls you the Godfather.

:37:18. > :37:22.Is it now in this modern day and age -

:37:22. > :37:25.we might learn something here, Claude -

:37:25. > :37:27.that one has to come out with a load of bullshit, rather than getting to the point?

:37:27. > :37:31.Is it necessary in this day and or what?

:37:31. > :37:34.I think in order for people to think they're going to pitch something credibly,

:37:34. > :37:36.they think that they have to fill it- full of big words,

:37:36. > :37:38.and the irony is that his business plan

:37:39. > :37:43.is probably the most simple and straightforward of everybody's.

:37:43. > :37:45.Simple, straightforward - that's what I'm looking for.

:37:45. > :37:51.It's a recruitment business in a niche sector in which he is really passionate about.

:37:51. > :37:57.Before I met him, I spent a sleepless night with excitement at how I was going to rip him apart.

:37:57. > :38:02.However, in truth, I'm mesmerised by the guy.

:38:02. > :38:07.I believe the real man is the one who has put forward a good, sensible business plan

:38:07. > :38:11.and it's very much akin to what he's been doing.

:38:11. > :38:15.He is the one that has changed the most through the process. Yeah.

:38:15. > :38:18.I would worry that he has a streak in his character

:38:18. > :38:20.that when he's in a business situation,

:38:20. > :38:22.he is going to come out with something silly.

:38:22. > :38:26.Shall we move on? Let's talk about Nick.

:38:26. > :38:28.He is an entrepreneur.

:38:28. > :38:31.Straight from university, he's set up three businesses.

:38:31. > :38:35.He's obsessed with this idea that he's had this unconventional background,

:38:35. > :38:38.no television, outdoors a lot.

:38:38. > :38:40.Where was he living, a nunnery, then?!

:38:40. > :38:43.I think he lived in Switzerland. Is he a monk?!

:38:43. > :38:48.This is a guy who's very bright, but his business plan looks like an MBA project.

:38:48. > :38:51.I don't know how clever it is, how worthwhile it is.

:38:51. > :38:55.His idea is an automated website that if you put your recipe in,

:38:55. > :39:00.it will place the order online at a supermarket, is that right?

:39:00. > :39:02.That's right. I think he's aiming at people

:39:02. > :39:04.who watch a cookery programme on television,

:39:04. > :39:06.will go straight to the internet to download the recipe.

:39:06. > :39:09.You've seen these social networking- sites and things like that,

:39:09. > :39:12.which, some of them are valued at billions.

:39:13. > :39:18.Recipes doesn't kind of ring the bells of the Nasdaq people.

:39:18. > :39:22.I asked him how much you would make if you invested 250,000.

:39:22. > :39:27.He said after five years,we'd sell the company and Lord Sugar- would have 145 million.

:39:27. > :39:32.Is that all? Oh, dear. Waste of time, isn't it(?)

:39:32. > :39:35.Yeah, it's a bit optimistic, isn't it? I think so.

:39:35. > :39:38.The one thing I would say is that whenever a task is centred around an internet site,

:39:38. > :39:41.he has excelled at that.

:39:41. > :39:45.Yes. So, anyway, Mike, what about Tom?

:39:45. > :39:50.Tom wants to start a fine wine investment fund.

:39:50. > :39:55.So, big risk, but potentially very big returns.

:39:55. > :39:59.Does he like the prospect of being a bit of a gambler, do you think?

:39:59. > :40:01.I think so. I think he's a real risk-taker.

:40:01. > :40:03.He's got a business at the moment that he started from scratch

:40:03. > :40:06.and he's been very successful.

:40:06. > :40:09.He has lived quite a charmed existence, I'd say.

:40:09. > :40:12.Can't be that charmed, he's a West Ham supporter!

:40:12. > :40:14.How many millions does he want?

:40:14. > :40:17.25 million. And he's 23 years old?

:40:17. > :40:21.Yep. He's only 23 years old, he's only got two years experience in this business. That's not a lot.

:40:21. > :40:26.I think it's very unfair you say At 23, I was running a football club.

:40:26. > :40:29.There are some very strong individuals who are young

:40:29. > :40:31.that understand the business and can make a success.

:40:31. > :40:34.OK, I got it. Alan, you were one of them.

:40:34. > :40:39.When you were young, you went from hi-fi, into computers, intosatellite, into football. All risks.

:40:39. > :40:43.Yes, you're right. But it was all a risk of my money.

:40:43. > :40:46.It's interesting, because when I read the business plan,

:40:46. > :40:48.which is one of best written business plans I've ever read...

:40:48. > :40:51.Really? He was very convincing.

:40:51. > :40:55.It has got the potential for earning a lot of money, becoming a very big business.

:40:55. > :41:02.But my point would be that this guy needs to kind of tone down his ambition somewhat.

:41:02. > :41:06.Well, as ever, that's been very interesting.

:41:06. > :41:09.I have got to speak to these people shortly

:41:09. > :41:14.and I'm going decide which one of them will be my business partner.

:41:14. > :41:17.So, thanks a lot for all the input you gave me.

:41:17. > :41:27.PHONE RINGS

:41:27. > :41:29.

:41:29. > :41:34.PHONE RINGS

:41:34. > :41:39.Hello?

:41:39. > :41:41.Can you send the four candidates in, please? Yes, Lord Sugar.

:41:41. > :41:51.You can go through to the boardroom now.

:41:51. > :41:54.

:41:54. > :41:59.Well, you had a busy day yesterday with my four advisors

:41:59. > :42:01.and I've had a chat with them

:42:01. > :42:04.and they've given me quite a lot of insight.

:42:04. > :42:09.Now, Jade, this is a call centre with the sole purpose of raising leads.

:42:09. > :42:11.There's a lot of money to be made within that sector,

:42:11. > :42:14.if you buy the right dataand sell them to the right people.

:42:14. > :42:17.There's me with the old Lord Sugar hat on.

:42:17. > :42:21.I'm in a business which phones people up at 8 o'clock in the morning and annoys them... 10.

:42:21. > :42:25...on Sunday afternoon while they're relaxing

:42:25. > :42:27.and annoys them even more,

:42:27. > :42:30.and I'm sitting here like a dartboard, you know?

:42:30. > :42:33.I'm thinking, yes, this is great headlines for our newspaper.

:42:33. > :42:36.You tell me why it's nothing to do with that. OK.

:42:36. > :42:40.People have to actually tick a box to say, "I will hear from a third party."

:42:40. > :42:44.I'm legally allowed to phone it, because I'm the third party.

:42:44. > :42:48.So, it is regulated and you can make a lot of money from it, and it's very simple.

:42:48. > :42:50.Good, that's what it says in the rule book.

:42:50. > :42:54.I want to hear about how you go about doing it.

:42:54. > :42:57.I know what data will workto get the highest convergence rates- when people phone it.

:42:57. > :43:02.I've worked in a call centre environment and I'm good at motivating.

:43:02. > :43:05.I don't think anyone would doubt, having worked with you on task,

:43:05. > :43:07.that you've got plenty of enthusiasm.

:43:07. > :43:10.But one of the things that we heard- from Lord Sugar's advisors

:43:10. > :43:13.was that the business plan just fell apart.

:43:13. > :43:16.You run out of money after six months.

:43:17. > :43:19.Within six months' time, but within three months,

:43:19. > :43:21.money would start coming in.

:43:21. > :43:24.It's not glamorous, but it does make a lot of money.

:43:24. > :43:26.All right, I'll move on a little.

:43:26. > :43:32.Tom, you are proposing to put my name, my association,

:43:32. > :43:37.and to go and ask external investors to invest up to 25 million in wine.

:43:37. > :43:41.How are you going to convince me that's the way it should be done?

:43:41. > :43:44.What I currently do, there's a saturation point,

:43:44. > :43:46.and I think we're very close to that point.

:43:46. > :43:50.Your existing business is trading in wines. That's correct.

:43:50. > :43:52.Over the last two years, I have been approached by people

:43:52. > :43:56.who want to include fine wine investment within a self-investment pension plan.

:43:56. > :44:00.I've been in the property business for a few years. Yeah.

:44:00. > :44:02.And I've had every fly boy on the planet come along to me

:44:02. > :44:04.saying, I'm going to start a fund up

:44:04. > :44:07.and I want to use your name in the fund because you're known in property.

:44:07. > :44:12.And suddenly, instinct said to me, no. Not really.

:44:12. > :44:16.And funny enough, they all went tits up, these people.

:44:16. > :44:18.But fine wine is different to that.

:44:18. > :44:19.It's all about the investment strategy.

:44:20. > :44:22.It's all about sourcing the wine, choosing the right vintages.

:44:22. > :44:24.But like everything in life, there's no guarantee. Of course.

:44:24. > :44:27.At the moment, the Far East market is rampant.

:44:27. > :44:30.All it just needs is one day for some analyst to stand up and say,

:44:30. > :44:35."The Chinese are sick of wine now,"

:44:35. > :44:37.and bang goes your Chateau Monchamp, or whatever it is,

:44:37. > :44:40.goes flying down from 200 quid a bottle, down to 50 quid... OK.

:44:40. > :44:42...and then you're lumbered with it.

:44:42. > :44:45.But fine wine is a luxury good and all those sort of companies are expanding into Asia,

:44:45. > :44:46.and they wouldn't be doing that

:44:46. > :44:49.unless they felt the luxury good market was robust enough in that region.

:44:49. > :44:52.You've got a wine business at the moment which is making a bit of money.

:44:52. > :44:56.Don't you think your business plan is trying to run, run, run, before you can walk?

:44:56. > :44:59.I would haven't come here making big claims if I didn't think I'd be able to fulfil them

:44:59. > :45:03.and I wouldn't come here unless I've had previous enquiries that I've had to turn down.

:45:03. > :45:09.OK. Ricky. Now, I understand that you're going to teach an old dog some new tricks.

:45:09. > :45:14.I'm the old dog here, yeah? I'll get on my hind legs and listen.

:45:14. > :45:19.You say, Lord Sugar is getting to the later stage in his career,

:45:19. > :45:22.where he's going to start thinking about succession planning.

:45:22. > :45:27.So, have I got to let my kids know about their new dad coming, or what?

:45:27. > :45:28.If I'm very honest with you, Lord Sugar,

:45:28. > :45:32.what I've learned in 11 weeks, in business, it's actions that speak volumes, not your mouth.

:45:32. > :45:34.I should shut my trap a lot more.

:45:34. > :45:39.I had comments from people saying, can we separate the showman from the real business man?

:45:39. > :45:41.But the one good things going for you,

:45:41. > :45:44.when I've cut through all this bloody waffle of yours,

:45:44. > :45:46.is that you want to start a recruitment agency

:45:46. > :45:49.in what I would call a niche market that specialises in scientific industry.

:45:49. > :45:51.Yes, the market is huge.

:45:51. > :45:54.The pharmaceutical and biotechnology,

:45:54. > :45:55.and every other scientific industry in the UK,

:45:55. > :45:58.is much larger than what I deal with- at the moment.

:45:58. > :46:00.So, I'm looking at other organisations

:46:00. > :46:02.who know me from my reputation, but don't deal with me.

:46:02. > :46:04.They know you for you reputation already?

:46:04. > :46:06.Yes, I've placed a number...

:46:06. > :46:08.You're an icon in the pharmaceutical industry?

:46:08. > :46:11.I've placed several hundred people into professional jobs across the UK.

:46:11. > :46:13.I've got a large list of recommendations, testaments,

:46:14. > :46:18.based upon the experience they've had with me.

:46:18. > :46:24.I hope you're going to invite me along to fourth year's Christmas party.

:46:24. > :46:29.You've got funds in there allocated- for how much you're going to spend at the Christmas party.

:46:29. > :46:33.But I wanted it to be as detailed as possible. Good.

:46:33. > :46:36.So, Nick, this business model of yours,

:46:36. > :46:39.which is effectively some kind of system

:46:39. > :46:44.of translating your menus into your purchasing list at an online grocer. Exactly.

:46:44. > :46:47.That is an enormous software task,

:46:47. > :46:51.and I think I asked myself this - why?

:46:51. > :46:55.The amount of work and effort that's going to be involved in it.

:46:55. > :46:58.Where am I missing the point?

:46:58. > :47:00.I'm seeing two questions. First, it achievable?

:47:00. > :47:02.And second, is it useful if you do achieve it?

:47:02. > :47:04.It's achievable, I get that.

:47:04. > :47:06.But so's sending the man to the moon.

:47:06. > :47:09.What are we going to get out of it at the end?

:47:09. > :47:13.People currently go shopping for ingredients, but what they're actually looking for is recipes.

:47:13. > :47:16.How do you know that? This is what I do, it's what lot of friends do.

:47:16. > :47:19.It's what I understood people do. But who could be bothered with it?

:47:19. > :47:22.I'm thinking about, darling, get me- a spaghetti carbonara tonight.

:47:22. > :47:25.Get my programme out here and I'll go into that and order this, and it will go off like that.

:47:25. > :47:33.It's four quid of purchasing and this is like a trillion man-hours of software writing.

:47:33. > :47:36.By the time I've typed it all in there,

:47:36. > :47:39.I could've gone out and gone to the local restaurant and picked it up myself.

:47:39. > :47:42.My only defence for that is that I have got a fully working prototype.

:47:42. > :47:44.I have got real publishers who have integrated this button,

:47:45. > :47:46.and it does work on their websites

:47:46. > :47:48.and it really could become a very big player.

:47:48. > :47:52.Nick, why should I favour you over these other people?

:47:52. > :47:56.I think with the business plan, mine is a genuinely new idea.

:47:57. > :48:00.I think comparing it to everyone else's, I don't think the ideas are that innovative.

:48:00. > :48:05.They are quite an ordinary business- that will make money, but probably not a huge amount.

:48:05. > :48:07.Rick, you've got a smile on your face.

:48:07. > :48:10.I've got a smile on my face because you think our businesses are quite ordinary.

:48:10. > :48:13.But your business plan, it might be innovative, but you haven't got experience in that industry.

:48:13. > :48:16.I have been running a software company for 18, 24 months,

:48:16. > :48:19.and that is essentially what I'm proposing here, is a software business.

:48:19. > :48:23.What's going to happen when another great idea pops in your headand you haven't made any more money?

:48:23. > :48:26.So, Ricky, why should I choose you?

:48:26. > :48:28.I think you should choose me as your business partner

:48:28. > :48:30.because I have extensive experience in exactly what I do.

:48:30. > :48:33.I think I've taken the most out of yourself, Nick and Karren.

:48:33. > :48:36.When you've told things to happen, I've made them happen.

:48:36. > :48:38.But I don't want someone who's just a bit of a yes man.

:48:38. > :48:46.I'm going to be running thisbusiness, Lord Sugar. I don't think you need to tell me what to do.

:48:46. > :48:48.OK. Four business plans

:48:48. > :48:54.and I do see some light at the end of the tunnel in all four of them, to be frank.

:48:54. > :49:02.I think I've got to kind of make some decisions now, really.

:49:02. > :49:08.Tom, I've got this worrying concern

:49:08. > :49:14.that someone of my position in society, so to speak,

:49:14. > :49:18.cannot afford to be involved in something that goes wrong.

:49:19. > :49:22.It's not as if everything I've done- has gone right in my life.

:49:22. > :49:26.It hasn't. Trust me, I've made lots and lots of mistakes.

:49:26. > :49:30.But this could be a calamity with my name associated to it.

:49:30. > :49:34.Do you understand what I mean? Yes.

:49:34. > :49:41.And Nick, you know, I remember on one occasion that the team was asked,

:49:41. > :49:46.we need to take someone over to the team, and they all chose you straightaway.

:49:46. > :49:48.So, you've clearly got something there.

:49:48. > :49:52.You've clearly got something there.

:49:52. > :49:58.But I've just got to think about the viability of this business model of yours.

:49:58. > :50:04.Ricky. Ricky Ratchet Jaws.

:50:04. > :50:09.At the end of the day, your business plan is a recruitment agency. It is.

:50:09. > :50:12.You've worked for someone for a long time in the field, you're an expert in the field.

:50:12. > :50:18.So, I can understand how yours can work.

:50:18. > :50:21.Jade, I reckon you are a great sales lady.

:50:21. > :50:27.I think I would be a good manager and motivator as well. To a tee.

:50:27. > :50:31.I like your enthusiasm and all that stuff. Thank you.

:50:31. > :50:33.But I'm not sure whether I want to put my name to something

:50:33. > :50:40.where perhaps I would be looked as disturbing people at home, really.

:50:40. > :50:44.So, I'm not going to mess around here, Jade.

:50:44. > :50:50.I don't think that you are my business partner, to be honest. OK.

:50:50. > :50:53.I have enjoyed your presence here.

:50:53. > :50:58.Don't give up the dream of having your own business. I won't.

:50:58. > :51:01.But on this occasion, I've got to say to you with regret...

:51:01. > :51:04.Jade, you're fired.

:51:04. > :51:14.Thank you very much. OK. Good luck, guys.

:51:14. > :51:22.

:51:22. > :51:30.It's a tough one, because I've got three very bright fellas here.

:51:30. > :51:37.I think on balance, Tom...

:51:37. > :51:43.25 million.

:51:43. > :51:50.I might like to think about throttling back on your ambition. Yes.

:51:50. > :51:55.Ricky, I've always got this underlying worry about this madness

:51:55. > :51:59.where you came into this process, telling me how great you was,

:51:59. > :52:03.going to teach the old dog new tricks and all that.

:52:03. > :52:08.You say you've learned to stop bigging yourself up.

:52:08. > :52:12.I wonder whether you have.

:52:12. > :52:16.I think, Nick, you're obviously a very intelligent fella.

:52:16. > :52:19.But I told you a long time ago when you came into this process

:52:19. > :52:22.that I ain't going to do any work here. Yep.

:52:23. > :52:26.And I can already feel myself getting dragged into this thing

:52:26. > :52:30.in the sense of the enormity of this task.

:52:30. > :52:37.What I don't really understand is where the money is, to be honest.

:52:37. > :52:45.I ain't got it here on menus and recipes.

:52:45. > :52:52.And for that reason, Nick, I'm going to say on this occasion that...

:52:52. > :52:56.you're fired.

:52:56. > :53:06.Thank you, Lord Sugar.

:53:06. > :53:15.

:53:15. > :53:20.Well, that just leaves me with you two. Big headache here.

:53:20. > :53:25.I could do with some of your wine, maybe, to relax.

:53:25. > :53:28.I'd like you to step outside.

:53:28. > :53:32.I'm going to have a final chat with Nick and Karren.

:53:32. > :53:35.And when you come back in here, I'm going to decide which one of you

:53:35. > :53:38.is going to be my business partner.

:53:38. > :53:48.Off you go. Thank you, Lord Sugar.

:53:48. > :53:52.

:53:52. > :53:55.At the end of the day, these two guys

:53:55. > :53:56.actually want to be in the business- that they've been in,

:53:56. > :54:00.which is very credible.

:54:00. > :54:03.Tom's business, you're quite right, is a risky business.

:54:03. > :54:07.If you just throttled him back on his first year ambitions,

:54:07. > :54:11.I think his business would be electrically exciting.

:54:11. > :54:15.Fast-moving, tremendous returns to be made.

:54:15. > :54:19.But I have never done business with other people's money.

:54:19. > :54:21.That is the problem.

:54:21. > :54:24.Do you really want a pedestrian recruitment business?

:54:24. > :54:28.Or do you want one last final hurrah?

:54:28. > :54:32.Ricky has great credibility in the field, he's got a degree in it,

:54:32. > :54:36.and you shouldn't rule out Ricky because he's safe.

:54:36. > :54:39.PHONE RINGS

:54:39. > :54:49.Lord Sugar will see you now.

:54:49. > :54:54.

:54:54. > :54:57.Well, gentlemen, you are down to these last two.

:54:57. > :55:00.That in itself is an amazing achievement.

:55:00. > :55:04.I've had a chat with Nick and Karren.

:55:04. > :55:07.I mean, Tom, it says here

:55:07. > :55:10.that in your first full year of trading of this business of yours,

:55:10. > :55:15.you posted a turnover of 1.25 million. Yeah.

:55:15. > :55:17.Now, that's bloody good. Yeah.

:55:17. > :55:20.And the thing is with this hedge fund and wine business,

:55:20. > :55:25.I might not mind doing it once I have a comfort feel about you. Yeah.

:55:25. > :55:30.And it's not until you get down and working with somebody

:55:30. > :55:33.that you can say, "You know what? Let's go to that next level." OK.

:55:33. > :55:37.I did send out a little message to you about tailoring back your ambitions.

:55:37. > :55:41.My target would be 25 million. But it doesn't have to be that.

:55:41. > :55:45.We can tailor that back.If there was a proposal on the table,

:55:45. > :55:47.I'd be a fool not to listen to that.

:55:47. > :55:49.This could be a very exciting business, this wine business,

:55:50. > :55:52.but his proposition is much simpler.

:55:52. > :55:54.There's a man that's done it before.

:55:54. > :55:56.Already working for a firm.

:55:56. > :55:58.All he wants to do is do what I did- when I was 17 years old -

:55:58. > :56:01.walk out of a firm that I worked for and start my own business.

:56:01. > :56:03.I think that's what you want to do, isn't it?

:56:03. > :56:05.Yes, I've always wanted my own organisation,

:56:05. > :56:07.and I've got the experience at one of the best places in the country,

:56:08. > :56:11.and it's my time to set up my own and run forward a bit.

:56:11. > :56:14.So, when you've made your millions... Yes. ..would you invest in his hedge fund?

:56:14. > :56:16.Not at all. I don't know anything about wine.

:56:16. > :56:20.It's nothing that interests me or excites me.

:56:20. > :56:21.You as a person, I think you're fantastic.

:56:21. > :56:23.The wine industry isn't for me.

:56:23. > :56:29.So, tell me, why should I invest with you and not him?

:56:29. > :56:30.I think I'm a fantastic prospect for the future.

:56:30. > :56:33.I think I'm somebody who's channelled his own career

:56:33. > :56:35.to the point we're at, sitting opposite you in this boardroom,

:56:35. > :56:40.and I feel like with me, I'm not a risk for you, Lord Sugar.

:56:40. > :56:42.Tom, you know, do you think you're a bit of a risk-taker?

:56:42. > :56:44.Yes, I do like to take a risk,

:56:44. > :56:46.and if I think I'm right in something then I will back myself.

:56:46. > :56:48.The difference between myself and Ricky

:56:48. > :56:51.is that I have been there, I have done it

:56:51. > :56:53.in terms of setting up a company and running one,

:56:53. > :56:55.and the risk with Ricky is that he hasn't actually been there.

:56:55. > :56:59.He may know his field very well, but I've proven I can be successful,

:56:59. > :57:04.it can be profitable, and I've shown I can grow my turnover year on year.

:57:04. > :57:10.It's a very, very difficult moment for me right now.

:57:10. > :57:14.I'll tell you where I am at.

:57:14. > :57:19.Yours is very straightforward and I am wondering, you know,

:57:19. > :57:22.I'm not getting any younger, I suppose,

:57:22. > :57:26.and I'm here to give a bit of help to somebody.

:57:26. > :57:29.From time to time. A bit of guidance.

:57:29. > :57:33.Yours is the simpler business.

:57:33. > :57:35.But, I mean, he's known me a long time

:57:35. > :57:37.and he knows I've got a bit of a devil in me

:57:37. > :57:39.about wanting to have a little gamble here and there,

:57:39. > :57:42.go into something which I haven't done before.

:57:42. > :57:46.His business, it offers that kind of bit of devilment, this wine thing.

:57:46. > :57:52.A bit of safety over here, and there's a bit of devilment over there,

:57:52. > :57:59.and that's really where I'm stuck at the moment.

:57:59. > :58:01.Because to be honest with you,

:58:01. > :58:05.you're both credible people to invest the money in.

:58:05. > :58:08.So, is it the devil or is it the safety?

:58:08. > :58:18.I've got to make a decision.

:58:18. > :58:20.

:58:20. > :58:21.I've

:58:21. > :58:21.I've got

:58:21. > :58:30.I've got to

:58:30. > :58:37.I've got to make a decision. And I should keep to my ethos of

:58:37. > :58:41.keeping it simple, keeping it straightforward and so, Ricky,

:58:41. > :58:51.you're going to be my business partner. Ricky, you're hired.

:58:51. > :59:03.

:59:03. > :59:07.Fantastic, thank you very much, Knowing that I've won this process,

:59:07. > :59:09.I can't formulate or articulate the words to say what it means. It's

:59:09. > :59:13.the recognition that everything that I've done has been worthwhile

:59:13. > :59:17.and it's important for me that people see that there's more to me

:59:18. > :59:24.than first meets the eye. Lord Sugar and I will be a powerful

:59:25. > :59:34.force to reckon with. 16 candidates, one winner. Lord Sugar's search for

:59:35. > :59:41.

:59:41. > :59:45.Welcome to the only Apprentice You're Hired of the series and

:59:45. > :59:49.Ricky has done it! He has won 250,000 business investment. Over

:59:49. > :59:54.the next hour, we'll hear from all four finalists and from Lord Sugar

:59:54. > :00:00.himself, the rest of the candidates are here, plus Nick and Karren, but

:00:00. > :00:06.let's meet the panel, Jo Malone, Denise Van Outen and Jenny Eclair,

:00:06. > :00:10.welcome to You're Hired. Four candidates started the day

:00:10. > :00:14.with a chance of winning a business partnership with Lord Sugar, but

:00:14. > :00:18.after a grewing inquisition, one by one they were shown the door. First,

:00:18. > :00:23.let's meet the man whose online ingredients business left Lord

:00:23. > :00:26.Sugar deciding not to place an order. Nick, what I don't

:00:26. > :00:34.understand is where the money is, to be quite honest. For that reason,

:00:34. > :00:44.Nick, I'm going to say on this occasion, you're fired. Thanks,

:00:44. > :00:50.

:00:50. > :00:54.Lord Sugar. Please welcome Nick APPLAUSE

:00:54. > :00:58.Nick, congratulations on reaching the final four. Disappointed not to

:00:58. > :01:04.have won? A little, but the process was fantastic, I enjoyed all the

:01:04. > :01:09.tasks, learned a lot, worked with great colleagues and happy to have

:01:09. > :01:13.got this far. The interview day? The panel was hard. Claude and

:01:13. > :01:16.everybody else ask you some very difficult questions. I thought I

:01:17. > :01:21.answered them more or less correctly, I maybe overcomplicated

:01:21. > :01:27.the business plan but I was happy to get that far. Let's see how you

:01:27. > :01:31.did against Lord Sugar's inquiz fors. I was brought up very focused

:01:31. > :01:39.on outdoor activities. He says he didn't watch a television programme

:01:39. > :01:47.until he was 16 years old. Did he live in a nunnery then? Not having

:01:47. > :01:53.had it probably made me want it more. Irbgs you are focusing and

:01:53. > :01:56.delivering? I'm aware that focus is something I knead to focus on. My

:01:56. > :02:02.system would automatically allow you to purchase all the ingredients

:02:02. > :02:06.for that recipe with one click. That is a huge task and I ask

:02:06. > :02:13.myself why, who could be bothered with it. I asked him how much you

:02:13. > :02:21.would make if you invested 250,000. We are looking at 145 million

:02:21. > :02:25.return. Is that all? Yes. It's a bit opt Mick ck isn't it? With the

:02:25. > :02:28.business plan specifically, it's a genuinely new idea that has

:02:28. > :02:36.potential to revolutionise the market. It's a Google or Facebook,

:02:36. > :02:45.or has potential to be. Dream on. It's like being in a war zone.

:02:46. > :02:51.Firstly, you were raise ed in a nunnery in Switzerland. Were you a

:02:51. > :02:56.von Trapp because you have that aidle vice look about you.

:02:56. > :03:01.friends will love this, they make fun of me because I'm Swiss. I grew

:03:01. > :03:04.up in Switzerland, came to England and yes I didn't have a TV but I

:03:04. > :03:08.had a normal upbringing. business idea, you clicked through

:03:08. > :03:11.in the recipes and all that, 145 million, would you like to

:03:11. > :03:15.downscale that figure or was that off the top of your head at the

:03:15. > :03:20.time? No, it wasn't at all, it was in the plan, it was projected. I

:03:20. > :03:24.stand by the fact that 145 million is finger in the air, let's guess

:03:24. > :03:27.because most business plans are three or four years down the line.

:03:27. > :03:32.The mistake is I didn't explain it as simply as I should have done

:03:32. > :03:36.because snrblly it's about putting recipes together, creating a basket

:03:36. > :03:40.and working out what is left over and helping them save money --

:03:40. > :03:44.essentially. You started a business from next to nothing and made

:03:44. > :03:51.something of it. There's a market for beauty there. Is there a market

:03:51. > :03:59.for what he's saying? Denise and I thought it was a fantastic idea.

:03:59. > :04:02.Absolutely. But all great businesses all start with a great

:04:02. > :04:05.idea and a great product. I think it kneaded some tweaking and I

:04:05. > :04:08.think it's absolutely fine to put your finger in the air and feel the

:04:09. > :04:14.wind if it's your own money. If it's someone else's money or you're

:04:14. > :04:19.going to the bank or taking a business partner, you have, I think

:04:19. > :04:23.it was, you know, well I can't see how you would hit 145 million.

:04:24. > :04:28.Denise, you like the idea though? It's brilliant, I would be clicking

:04:28. > :04:32.your website. I've got a two-year- old daughter, I cook, I want to eat

:04:32. > :04:36.healthy meals and I find it frustrating when I'm online or when

:04:36. > :04:44.I look in a recipe book I can't have everything on hand and it's a

:04:44. > :04:50.great idea. My friends would agree, Jenny disagraes. It was a bit faddy,

:04:50. > :04:53.you should have opened a Swiss finishing school for young men.

:04:53. > :04:57.School of Gentlemen in Switzerland, you would have made a fortune.

:04:57. > :05:04.Every mother in the land would have been sending their 20-something

:05:04. > :05:14.boys to be finished off like you! They would all come out looking

:05:14. > :05:17.

:05:17. > :05:24.great. Or with your looks you could be in One Direction. The One

:05:24. > :05:28.Direction thing, I've been told that I look like the love child of

:05:28. > :05:34.One Direction and Boris Johnson mixedp. My comeback, I prefer to be

:05:34. > :05:41.known as the love child of Mark Zuckerberg and Jamie Oliver maybe,

:05:41. > :05:49.yes. You have been given the gift go, with it, type of thing? Yes.

:05:49. > :05:53.You won eight tasks, more than any other candidate. You had a fairly,

:05:53. > :05:57.untroubled journey we'll say, and you were the one who put your head

:05:57. > :06:03.above the parapet when the boys' Team ran screaming from any

:06:03. > :06:06.responsibility. Anyone want to be the project manager? Project

:06:07. > :06:11.leader? Myself. I will put myself forward if nobody else wants to do

:06:11. > :06:18.it. I don't want to do the first week's task but I will.

:06:18. > :06:24.Congratulations. Bearing in mind he stuck himself at the deep end, how

:06:24. > :06:29.was ehe as Team leader. A lot of respect He was a good leader.

:06:29. > :06:34.all your time talking about margins, what was it? Selling him for 15.

:06:34. > :06:42.very good margin. We might sell out in the next hour. Get rid of it. 12

:06:42. > :06:48.minutes. Thank you very much. profit of 6 16.20. Well done.

:06:48. > :06:54.good for the first task. Cheers... Cheers...

:06:54. > :06:58.Very, very good. May I say, I mean they really have stood the test of

:06:58. > :07:02.time these particular bags. They are the most beautiful things I've

:07:02. > :07:07.seen for sale for 15 a pop, it really is. You've chosen a

:07:07. > :07:12.particularly bad example there. think this is average enough now.

:07:12. > :07:16.When you are looking at a piece of art, which is what it is, there are

:07:16. > :07:22.only about 200 or 300 of these, it's a screen piece of art, not

:07:22. > :07:26.just a bag. Must get you to sign it then! Were you impressed with his

:07:26. > :07:30.management skills? I think you are such a likeable character and I

:07:30. > :07:34.would have you on my Team in a shot. Simply because you covered

:07:34. > :07:40.everyone's back and I love that about you. Thank you very much.

:07:40. > :07:45.would have loved to have seen a bit more of your charisma. It was

:07:45. > :07:50.brilliant. I was thinking, what a bunch of wusses, but it was

:07:50. > :07:55.brilliant. We were showing the responsibility of not thinking it.

:07:55. > :08:00.The bags were dreadful. You get given stuff for nothing better than

:08:00. > :08:04.that. Absolute lack of quality control. The bears were very naff

:08:04. > :08:09.and I think you are quite stylish and I think you would look at the

:08:09. > :08:16.products and think, I wouldn't buy that, yet you managed to flog quite

:08:16. > :08:20.a lot. Maybe less about others we knew about you, but something

:08:20. > :08:28.caught our eye on a continuous basis and we weren't alone in

:08:28. > :08:34.noticing this. I call him Herr Flick. Your hair... Your hair.

:08:34. > :08:41.see it increasing at night, I'm not sure whether there is a hedgehog.

:08:41. > :08:47.Nick's hair is crap. He got out of bed and never bothered to do his

:08:47. > :08:57.hair. # I wear my hair back-and- forth... # Nick, if you are

:08:57. > :09:13.

:09:13. > :09:23.Wow, that's good, I like that actually, yeah.

:09:23. > :09:23.

:09:23. > :09:28.Does it take years off me? You should be more aware of this, my

:09:28. > :09:34.nickname in school, guess what it was? Baldy. No, I wasn't at school

:09:34. > :09:44.when I was 20. It's not going well, is it? No, it was Herr Flick, your

:09:44. > :09:46.

:09:46. > :09:52.nickname now. So good luck with I flicked it when roared sugar

:09:52. > :09:57.didn't give us enough time to get a hair cut. It's gorgeous, like a

:09:57. > :10:00.storm-tossed sea. Incredible. It's unnaturally freaky. The guy in

:10:00. > :10:06.flash Gordon with the feathers on his head, it's weird. You can do

:10:06. > :10:11.everything, it's like a toy! I can move it like that, like that,

:10:11. > :10:21.like that. What would it look like at a party?!

:10:21. > :10:23.

:10:23. > :10:28.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE It's been an absolute pleasure to have you here.

:10:28. > :10:31.It pulled at the heart strings, the no TV thing, so we thought any gift

:10:31. > :10:36.that we could give you... haven't bought me a TV? No, we felt

:10:36. > :10:41.you missed out on something that we have made you a box set. How am I

:10:41. > :10:46.going to watch it? You're a technology guy, you can watch it on

:10:47. > :10:56.the DVD drive of a computer. Called Nick's lost TV years and we've got

:10:57. > :10:58.

:10:58. > :11:06.you Rainbow, Danger Mouse and Grange Hill series one and two.

:11:06. > :11:16.Fantastic. Thank you. You've been here for the full 12

:11:16. > :11:17.

:11:17. > :11:22.weeks. Leer are your highlights. HE WHISTLES MOVE LIKE JAGGER TUNE

:11:22. > :11:26.I'm in love with business and being an entrepreneur. I love sorting out

:11:26. > :11:34.problems. Let's be friends. It fires me up. It's art. Whatever you

:11:34. > :11:40.offer me, I will accept. Deal. Hyde Park has leaves. Trimmers. Very

:11:40. > :11:49.good common-sense. Choose... Nick. You're very popular. The accent and

:11:49. > :11:56.the mop hair, he's a cool guy. No chance, guys. Really genuine.

:11:56. > :12:04.Honest. Teddy bear. Making decisions on big bears. Argh...

:12:04. > :12:08.Nick Holzherr! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:12:08. > :12:11.Our next panellist wanted to set up the largest call centre in the UK

:12:11. > :12:16.but caused Lord Sugar to call time on her.

:12:16. > :12:19.I'm not going to mess around here, Jade, I don't think that you are my

:12:19. > :12:23.business partner. I like your enthusiasm and all that stuff and

:12:23. > :12:28.don't give up the dream of having your own business. I won't. But on

:12:28. > :12:35.this occasion, I've got to say to you, with regret, Jade, you're

:12:35. > :12:45.fired. Thank you very much. Good luck, buys. -- good luck, guys.

:12:45. > :12:50.

:12:50. > :12:57.How are you, Jade, were you disapointed, gutted, surprised?

:12:57. > :13:01.surprised really because I was in the interviews. I did see what

:13:01. > :13:05.happened. I was honoured to be there, I understood his decisions

:13:05. > :13:09.for letting me go, but happy. I think he liked me, I think he said

:13:09. > :13:14.I was good at sales, you know. That's what I do, so pretty much

:13:14. > :13:18.good on my TV now I think. You did have a tough time so let's

:13:18. > :13:22.have a look at the interview. grubby little business you are

:13:22. > :13:28.proposing. In the evening at home I don't want cold calls. She wants to

:13:29. > :13:33.set up a call centre. It's not glamorous but makes a lot of money.

:13:33. > :13:40.Plenty of enthusiasm. But the business plan just fell apart.

:13:40. > :13:47.overheads, there are no costs. There are, but 250,000 will pay

:13:47. > :13:50.for all the data. Your 250,000 investment would be eaten away in

:13:51. > :13:56.six months. You have blown it in six months. But within three months

:13:56. > :13:59.money will start coming in and me, as a person, I'm an investor or

:13:59. > :14:04.asset. You list four different website addresss in your business

:14:04. > :14:11.plan. I have purchasing... One of them was still available for

:14:11. > :14:17.anybody to go and buy. So I did. Choosenergysupply.co.uk I own.

:14:17. > :14:22.might have to buy it off you. I would like a drink!

:14:22. > :14:27.It was a rough ride. Was it just grim, was it a really tough

:14:27. > :14:32.afternoon? It's weird because I was expecting to watch it back and be

:14:32. > :14:36.cringing but I wasn't, I was like, look, I tried hard and I did well.

:14:36. > :14:40.Jo, were you surprised at some of the mistakes that Jade made? I was

:14:40. > :14:45.gutted for you, we all loved you and I wanted you to have this idea

:14:45. > :14:48.that was going to change the world. I know, so did I!

:14:49. > :14:52.When it got to it, throughout the possess I was learning different

:14:52. > :14:57.things and realising, maybe I don't want to manage loads of people,

:14:57. > :15:01.maybe I'm more creative than I thought and maybe I want to do

:15:01. > :15:06.business to business. At the end, I was gutted that that was the

:15:06. > :15:10.business I was going in with. Couldn't you have changed it within

:15:10. > :15:13.the days you were going in on? you are writing a whole one, I

:15:13. > :15:19.didn't want to just come up with a random idea so I will though and I

:15:19. > :15:23.have, so it will be fine. Does it involve chocolate? Cack

:15:23. > :15:29.chully, it could involve drunk jellies, I don't know -- actually.

:15:29. > :15:33.They came across great. I was trending worldwide on Twitter for

:15:33. > :15:38.those. You think there is a global desire for global jellies? I think

:15:38. > :15:47.there might be. An adult sweet shop is a good idea. That makes it sound

:15:47. > :15:51.like just you know, chocolate... chocolate shaped willies, no. But

:15:51. > :16:01.the boozey jellies because I think there is a market for another more

:16:01. > :16:05.

:16:05. > :16:10.I sat there waiting to hear your ideas. I felt deflated for you. It

:16:10. > :16:15.was such a shame, really. It was tough. These boys I was up against

:16:15. > :16:19.are amazing. I was sitting there, listening to them in awe of what

:16:19. > :16:25.they had done. They had businesses they had been working in. I thought,

:16:25. > :16:29.what can I make money in? It was the wrong thing. It is a slightly

:16:29. > :16:33.heartless business - the call- centre thing. It is like saying I

:16:33. > :16:39.want to open a massive battery farm chicken thing!

:16:39. > :16:43.I don't want to do that. I think I have learnt through what

:16:43. > :16:48.people say is you have to go into something you love. Obviously money

:16:48. > :16:56.is part of it. I am creative. I love people. It has changed my view

:16:56. > :16:59.of what I want to do. Really? It has shifted in your ambitions?

:16:59. > :17:05.Maybe thinking, if whatever business I do needs to be something

:17:05. > :17:10.I love with a passion, not just because of the money that it will

:17:10. > :17:14.give me. It really did help me. this the best order to have it in?

:17:14. > :17:18.I think passion is the missing ingredient. I think you are a

:17:18. > :17:22.natural-born retailer. If you take hold of something you have to get

:17:22. > :17:26.your strategy right. I love that word.

:17:26. > :17:30.Any way, but I think you have great potential to do something in the

:17:30. > :17:37.retail world. OK, because you started right from

:17:37. > :17:41.the off, like Nick, you made an impression in week one. If we are

:17:41. > :17:51.to win, I think design is almost the most important element in the

:17:51. > :17:53.

:17:53. > :18:03.whole process. This is of paramount importance.

:18:03. > :18:06.

:18:06. > :18:15.Your team design was who? Jade. That's very good. It's very good.

:18:15. > :18:25.She had a fabric pen and coloured it in herself. It's good!

:18:25. > :18:31.They were good, really, really nice. There's a bigger one - now we have

:18:31. > :18:41.the artist here, what are any of them really? Is that a bee? That

:18:41. > :18:43.

:18:43. > :18:51.was meant to be a tiger, obviously what it was, yes. Were you furious

:18:51. > :18:57.to be beaten by this piece of at the? Did it not irritate you?

:18:57. > :19:02.piece of tat? Did it not irritate you? You need a different plan.

:19:02. > :19:06.That is where my learning curve came from. Let's have a word with

:19:06. > :19:11.Karren Brady. What was your impression of Jade? The thing I

:19:11. > :19:16.love about her is she's direct, creative. I admired her tolerance

:19:16. > :19:24.of Adam at times. I think you are very likable, Jade, and I wish you

:19:24. > :19:30.well in the future. Let's just get to this, shall we?

:19:30. > :19:35.There was one colleague with whom you had more challenging journey.

:19:36. > :19:41.It's no secret that me and Jade have had a fiery relationship.

:19:41. > :19:45.is like we are annoying brother and sister act. Did you shout in random

:19:45. > :19:55.orders? No manners.

:19:55. > :19:56.

:19:56. > :20:00.God only knows what she's doing here!

:20:00. > :20:07.Come on, Jade. If things don't work out for you, you can come and work

:20:07. > :20:11.for me after your performance. have put our differences behind us.

:20:11. > :20:17.I think we have earnt a mutual respect today. Jade is a nightmare

:20:17. > :20:21.to work with. You don't even know what I do. Bad manners, arrogance.

:20:21. > :20:26.Actually, I am a successful business woman. I don't think we're

:20:26. > :20:36.going on a date any time soon! Oh, no!

:20:36. > :20:38.

:20:38. > :20:42.APPLAUSE Anything you want to add to this?

:20:42. > :20:47.Everybody who came into this process has done amazingly to get

:20:47. > :20:52.there. In life you meet people you don't want to work with or be best

:20:52. > :21:02.friends. I don't have anything bad to say about him. He's done well.

:21:02. > :21:09.If I wanted someone to set up something he'll be the man.

:21:09. > :21:12.Thank you. I can get the drinks in! I think you could have your own

:21:12. > :21:17.reality TV show. Like the Chuckle Brothers!

:21:18. > :21:23.The two of you with a ladder driving from town to town. It is

:21:23. > :21:27.important to get on with people? When you are a small team, with a

:21:27. > :21:33.small business, you need to get on. I am a character that people either

:21:33. > :21:37.love or they don't. I end up often being taken out of meetings. I

:21:37. > :21:42.remember once every time somebody said something I interrupted, so my

:21:42. > :21:44.husband, who is the managing director, picked me up out of my

:21:44. > :21:51.seat and threw me out. Which was charming!

:21:51. > :21:56.Your husband? My husband. I'll get rid of her!

:21:56. > :22:01.How did that look? It looked awful. I went home, packed his bag and

:22:01. > :22:05.threw him out! You are right, you know what you

:22:05. > :22:09.won't get on with everybody. That's not real life. The fact you can

:22:09. > :22:15.still work together is, you know, it's an important thing. Jenny,

:22:15. > :22:18.have you ever clashed with anyone? I work mostly by myself and I get

:22:18. > :22:22.on my own tits! Usually half the way through the

:22:22. > :22:28.afternoon I am so bored of me. I admire the way that all of you work

:22:28. > :22:35.so well together. You did a great job.

:22:35. > :22:44.This did stand out - so our gift is inspired by your love of chocolate.

:22:44. > :22:51.Please welcome JJ from the London Cocktail Club, he has created your

:22:51. > :22:58.own cocktail. Thank you. Can I have a bit now? Try a bit. Mmm! That is

:22:58. > :23:08.lush! Do you want a bit? Oh, yeah. Keep it this end of the

:23:08. > :23:08.

:23:08. > :23:18.table. Here it is, this is the recipe for

:23:18. > :23:22.Jade's Sweet Thing Cocktail. Thank you.

:23:22. > :23:28.Jade, you were the last woman left standing, here are your highlights.

:23:29. > :23:38.I am what I am, that's me and you see what you get straight away. And

:23:38. > :23:42.action guys! Action! Oh, it's on fire.

:23:42. > :23:49.She bubbly. Bombarded by visual stimulation. Everything is half

:23:49. > :23:59.price. You don't see Jade in a bad mood.

:23:59. > :24:08.She's loud. She's a good girl. and full of life, but I get the job

:24:08. > :24:18.done. I really love winning! Ladies and gentlemen, Jade Nash.

:24:18. > :24:19.

:24:19. > :24:23.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Our runner up tonight has had an incredible

:24:24. > :24:29.journey to the final. In the end, the prize was not to be his.

:24:29. > :24:36.You are incredible people to invest the money. I have to make a

:24:36. > :24:42.decision, so Ricky, you are hired. Thanks a lot.

:24:42. > :24:52.Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to runner-up in The

:24:52. > :25:02.

:25:02. > :25:07.Apprentice 2012, Tom Gearing. You must be gutted not to have won?

:25:07. > :25:11.Really disappointed to have got to the final stage it's so crushing

:25:11. > :25:15.when you found out you haven't run to. Be up against Ricky, he's such

:25:15. > :25:21.a credible candidate. If I was going to lose to anyone I am happy

:25:22. > :25:27.it was Ricky. He did really well. You won seven of the tasks. Did you

:25:27. > :25:30.think at any stage - I have this? When you are doing well and winning

:25:30. > :25:37.as project manager you think you are in a good place. Let's see some

:25:37. > :25:42.of the highs and lows. To invest in classic wines while

:25:42. > :25:47.still in the barrel and then watch their price rocket. I have written

:25:47. > :25:52.lots of business plans, I have never written anything as

:25:52. > :25:59.sophisticated as this. How much of your business plan did your father

:25:59. > :26:04.write? None. None at all? No. you have any qualifications?

:26:04. > :26:12.don't have any qualifications. is a big risk to me. 25 million -

:26:12. > :26:18.that's a fortune. How did it go? Stressful. Tom's business is a

:26:18. > :26:23.risky business. Fast-moving, tremendous returns to be made.

:26:23. > :26:27.Do you think you are a risk-taker? I would not come here making big

:26:27. > :26:33.claims. I would not have come here unless I had the ability to raise

:26:33. > :26:38.the funds. It can be profitable. Were you too ambitious aiming for

:26:38. > :26:42.25 million? I don't think so. The hole concept needs to have that

:26:42. > :26:45.much capital going into -- the whole concept needs to have that

:26:45. > :26:50.much capital going into it. You will not have leverage otherwise

:26:50. > :26:56.for the funds. That idea might have been too optimistic.

:26:56. > :27:03.You needed that much? Exactly. enthusiasm was fantastic. There'll

:27:03. > :27:07.be a couple of knock-backs. takes that extra chatter in

:27:07. > :27:10.somebody. I would not worry that you don't have any experience in

:27:10. > :27:14.hedge funding, but you need somebody who has so you can learn.

:27:14. > :27:18.If you are, especially at this moment in time, if you are dealing

:27:18. > :27:28.other people's money and it goes wrong it will be curtains, isn't

:27:28. > :27:29.

:27:29. > :27:33.it? You will end up modelling for some gorgeous menswear.

:27:33. > :27:38.I think your passion and knowledge of your product will be vital. When

:27:38. > :27:43.you go to those people to raise that 25 million, I think you need

:27:43. > :27:49.to show your personality and who you are. I never really got who you

:27:49. > :27:53.really were n the task when you were the head of the wine project,

:27:53. > :28:01.I thought he would really come through here. I still didn't see

:28:01. > :28:06.you. Had a good day out. Especially so

:28:06. > :28:12.many weeks into the process you have to let your hair down. Did you

:28:12. > :28:16.find it irritating when you were asked if your dad had written the

:28:16. > :28:19.business plan? I think he was more embarrassed than I was watching it

:28:19. > :28:26.back. Being able to set up a company that do so well that after

:28:26. > :28:32.a couple of years my dad says "I want to join your company," that is

:28:32. > :28:37.fantastic. I am happy he got some praise as well. How fantastic to

:28:37. > :28:44.employ your dad. Are you horrible to him? Do you make him do the

:28:44. > :28:48.overtime? I think you are something of the Great Gatsby.

:28:48. > :28:51.That will end well! I don't think you should get too

:28:51. > :28:57.fond of your stock. I think it is a dangerous business to be in, having

:28:57. > :29:02.loads and loads of wine. We know what happens when I am let lose on

:29:02. > :29:06.it. Will you stick to your original plan? That is something I will look

:29:06. > :29:11.to do. Shame I cannot be doing it with Lord sugar. Hopefully somebody

:29:11. > :29:20.else will take -- Lord Sugar. Hopefully somebody else will take

:29:20. > :29:24.it up. I was 16 when I first started. No money. I made every

:29:24. > :29:32.mistake in the book. Now I have done it, started all over again and

:29:32. > :29:36.I have made every mistake in the book. So, just be -- because of age

:29:36. > :29:39.or experience you still need to make mistakes. I think failure is

:29:39. > :29:44.the doorstep to success. When you have learnt to fail and you have

:29:44. > :29:48.dusted yourself down and I think you are absolutely - I do not think

:29:48. > :29:53.you'll go into the same business you think right now - I think

:29:53. > :29:57.something amazing will open up for you and you will see it. For

:29:57. > :30:03.goodness sake take hold of that baton and run. That is the secret

:30:03. > :30:13.of an entrepreneur, they take the baton. It wasn't always perfect.

:30:13. > :30:27.

:30:27. > :30:33.You were project manager in week Lecturing people and telling them

:30:33. > :30:42.how clever you are winds them up a bit, you know. Know what you did

:30:42. > :30:50.bit, you know. Know what you did wrong there? Talk too much? I will

:30:50. > :30:59.go to you? I fement sorry for you. You had ego and that artist want

:30:59. > :31:04.youd to two in and say you are great. The last thing I want is for

:31:04. > :31:08.someone to say, I saw Jo Brand last week, she was great, don't want to

:31:08. > :31:14.hear that thank you very much, do you know what I mean, Dara?

:31:14. > :31:20.Entirely. I've read a few of these things. You could see him going in

:31:20. > :31:28.his own head, it was like him going, clap, clap, clap, he wanted you to

:31:29. > :31:32.go "love me, love me, love me" and "tell me how great I am". You were

:31:32. > :31:35.brave, you took a good risk and could have panned out for you. You

:31:35. > :31:40.have the canvasses which is difficult to lake, but if somebody

:31:40. > :31:44.had you would have made a lot of money out of the hideous - no,

:31:44. > :31:49.they're interesting - the big canvasses. That is my biggest

:31:49. > :31:54.regret, I didn't sell one. I was so disappointed about what happened

:31:54. > :31:57.that I wasn't in the right mindset to sell one. People were interested

:31:57. > :32:04.but I wasn't in the right frame of mind. There were a couple of people

:32:04. > :32:09.interested but I wasn't on top form at all although there were people

:32:09. > :32:19.on - interested that night. don't let anyone interrupt your

:32:19. > :32:49.

:32:49. > :32:54.APPLAUSE Has anybody noticed that before?

:32:54. > :32:58.Yes, we used to have staring contests at school. I bet you were

:32:58. > :33:03.unbeatable?! Yes. The King of the school like! Wow, that's a good

:33:03. > :33:10.school to have. One of my favourite moments of yours was in week nine

:33:10. > :33:16.when you let your professional side slip. If you take a glass each...

:33:16. > :33:21.It's been a great day. Me and Alan have had a lot of fun. We've really

:33:21. > :33:29.got to grips with the English wine sparkling... Sorry, we've really

:33:29. > :33:39.got to grips with English wine sparking Separate, separate... Hang

:33:39. > :33:45.

:33:45. > :33:48.on strategy. Cheers, mate. You work in the wine industry. Are you not

:33:48. > :33:53.constantly doing the splish splash tasting? You are trained to do

:33:53. > :33:57.that? Yes, but, you know, week nine, me and Adam have been together at

:33:57. > :34:02.every task, we are taken to a vineyard and offered a wine tasting.

:34:02. > :34:07.We are going to take it, aren't we? Absolutely. We are going to take it.

:34:07. > :34:13.Plus we fancied a day out. We had Nick, the technology expert and I

:34:13. > :34:16.was like, this one's going to be easy. It was great. Is your wine

:34:16. > :34:26.company, if you drop in at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, are they

:34:26. > :34:29.

:34:29. > :34:34.all going "I love you"? We know you are not too good at Lord Sugar's

:34:34. > :34:38.investment. We have a gift for you. Don't sell it or use it for

:34:38. > :34:44.investment purposes. This is incredibly rare, properly bottled,

:34:44. > :34:53.it's a bottle of "English Wine Sparkling"!

:34:53. > :34:56.APPLAUSE That's rare. That is yours.

:34:56. > :35:02.APPLAUSE 12 excellent weeks, Tom, here are

:35:02. > :35:06.your highlights. I think I would class myself as an impressive

:35:06. > :35:10.individual. He's really nice, is Tom. I'm a nice guy, charismatic

:35:10. > :35:16.and someone people want to work with. Cool and he thinks he's the

:35:16. > :35:23.man but he's a funny guy. I've been known to be quite funny in the

:35:23. > :35:31.right environment. Really sweet is. Down-to-earth. I would like to

:35:31. > :35:41.introduce you to the world concept sparkling wine... Ladies and

:35:41. > :35:41.

:35:41. > :35:46.gentlemen. Yeah? Good? Done? Shake hands on that. Sorry. Ladies and

:35:46. > :35:54.gentlemen, Tom Gearing!- -CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

:35:54. > :35:57.Best of luck. And so now to our winner, here is how we heard that

:35:57. > :36:04.Ricky Martin was Lord Sugar's new business partner. Is it the devil

:36:04. > :36:10.or is it the safety? I've got to make a decision. And I

:36:10. > :36:15.should keep to my ethos of keeping it simple, keeping it

:36:15. > :36:19.straightforward and so Ricky, you're going to be my business

:36:19. > :36:29.partner. Ricky, you're hired. Fantastic, thank you very much.

:36:29. > :36:42.

:36:42. > :36:46.Please welcome, the winner of The Well done. Thank you. Very, very

:36:46. > :36:51.good. Well done. I mean, partly doing that as a congratulations,

:36:51. > :36:56.but also look at the Formula Ones on Ricky, boom! You did well, you

:36:56. > :37:01.must be thrilled? I can't say I've digested it yet. Ecstatic. Shocked.

:37:01. > :37:07.I'm in shock. Genuine shock on my side. I'm so, so pleased. I mean,

:37:07. > :37:10.during the whole thing, did you worry that Tom would be such a

:37:10. > :37:13.tough opponent? Tom is incredible at what he does and articulates

:37:13. > :37:17.himself very well and did well throughout so great competition,

:37:17. > :37:22.but I believed in myself, I thought I always had it in me and I proved

:37:22. > :37:32.it. Cool. Let's bring on your new business partner, why don't we?

:37:32. > :37:43.

:37:43. > :37:46.CHEERING AND APPLAUSE Now, you were left at the end of

:37:46. > :37:52.this with two very strong candidates, so what tipped it in

:37:52. > :37:58.favour of Ricky? It tipped the balance for me that Ricky is a kind

:37:58. > :38:01.of green field starter and I suppose one of the other issues was

:38:01. > :38:06.that I've never ever traded with other people's money and that

:38:06. > :38:11.worries me a little bit, that I'm not suggesting that Tom's idea

:38:11. > :38:15.won't work, but I think that it would be possible that investors

:38:15. > :38:21.might feel that I was a little more involved than I was and the only

:38:21. > :38:26.thing I know about wine is what we both do in the bar, you know, drink

:38:26. > :38:31.it. Yes. But... There is one consolation. I mean Tom, the

:38:31. > :38:35.positive side of things, West Ham are back in the Premier League, so

:38:35. > :38:39.that's a good thing for him. The other thing is that it didn't tip

:38:39. > :38:49.the scale really it's helpful that Ricky being a wrestler is going to

:38:49. > :38:50.

:38:50. > :38:54.be my minder when Tottenham go down too. Or when Tottenham go down to

:38:54. > :38:58.Upton Park. You were traditionally a product man and this is supplying

:38:58. > :39:04.a different kind of service. So what was it about Ricky? That is

:39:04. > :39:07.also true. Over, what I think we are planning to do is that he's

:39:07. > :39:12.basically specialising in recruitment with technical people.

:39:12. > :39:19.I've spent the whole of my life in technology and I know that it's a

:39:19. > :39:24.hot market at the moment for IT consultants, for scientists and for

:39:24. > :39:28.software people and so I think it's a real viable proposition. This is

:39:28. > :39:31.the result, but it wasn't a straight road. Let's have a look at

:39:31. > :39:41.how you won through tonight because it didn't start well.

:39:41. > :39:45.Here you are now in the final four. Classifying yourself as Thor in the

:39:45. > :39:49.Nordic Pantheon. Is that right? Personal statement on the

:39:49. > :39:53.application form is so absolutely laden with superlatives about

:39:53. > :40:01.himself. Basically you are making me want to be sick. The best

:40:01. > :40:08.business partner on the planet? Descendant from the heavens, the

:40:08. > :40:13.new generation of God. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Woof,

:40:13. > :40:18.woof. You are an arrogant fool. However, I read your business plan

:40:18. > :40:22.and I was quite impressed. It was interesting, I think it was well-

:40:22. > :40:25.written. A cogent, sensible business plan. He's the one who's

:40:25. > :40:31.changed the most through the process. When I turned up to the

:40:31. > :40:34.process, I had a lot of bravado about me. I'm not a risk to you,

:40:34. > :40:39.I'm an excellent business partner, somebody who's channelled his whole

:40:39. > :40:43.clear to the point we are at now. I'm sitting opposite you now ready

:40:43. > :40:49.to get my business started. hammer and Thor bit at the start

:40:49. > :40:53.was a bit Avengers, assemble, have you seen the movie or was it just

:40:53. > :40:58.in your head? To be honest, I just wanted to stand out from the crowd,

:40:58. > :41:06.get myself noticed and at the start of that process, 13 weeks before I

:41:06. > :41:09.entered it, I turned up as a showman and, as the process evolved,

:41:09. > :41:15.I evolved as a businessperson, I said that at the start but wouldn't

:41:15. > :41:21.have said it at the end. The first thing he said was "cut the crap"

:41:21. > :41:25.and we thought, it's going to be a long day for Ricky. Were you

:41:25. > :41:28.impressed with "the journey" as they say? Yes, that's the thing

:41:28. > :41:34.about the Apprentice with Nick and Karren, we are always fascinated by

:41:34. > :41:37.the fact that it starts off and you see the 16 people in front of you

:41:37. > :41:41.and the most frequently asked question is do you know

:41:41. > :41:46.straightaway which one, you know, and what you do straightaway is,

:41:46. > :41:50.you think blimey, that one there is, you know, get on my nerves a little

:41:50. > :41:55.bit, but then, as they grow through the process, we kind of change our

:41:55. > :42:01.minds and you start to see them growing and he is a classic example.

:42:01. > :42:06.He learned as he went along and his own self-admission is that he came

:42:06. > :42:12.in like a bull in a china shop and you see the people growing as they

:42:12. > :42:17.go along, so yes, I think he's done very well. Jo, were you impressed

:42:17. > :42:19.by Ricky today? You did have the biggest journey, you watch the

:42:19. > :42:22.whole transition of your personality change and you start to

:42:22. > :42:28.see the values of people. I thought you led incredibly well when you

:42:28. > :42:31.were heading a Team. Esspebl sli when you were going into

:42:31. > :42:35.partnership with somebody, what could you bring to the table that

:42:35. > :42:39.was different and you do bring something that is very unique to

:42:39. > :42:44.the relationship. Denise, what did you think? My opinion of you

:42:44. > :42:48.chaifpbged from start to finish and I really like you now -- changed.

:42:48. > :42:52.You weren't my favourite at the start, obviously, but I guess I'm

:42:52. > :42:56.just wondering if the whole bravado and everything is because you do

:42:56. > :43:01.your wrestling and perhaps that's where it comes from, you know, I'm

:43:01. > :43:04.the best and... There is an element of that, it's a show sport, we are

:43:04. > :43:07.all sitting there trying to stand out, work the crowd and put

:43:07. > :43:12.yourself across, so elements I have taken into business but I'm

:43:12. > :43:16.actually really good at what I do and it's not me barking at everyone

:43:16. > :43:20.saying look at me I'm brilliant and I'm a shark. All that rubbish stuff

:43:20. > :43:23.I come out with, that is how I perform. Jay you don't want to lose

:43:23. > :43:29.the showman side of that, I'm slightly disappointed you didn't

:43:29. > :43:39.come on here in a pair of trunks and a cape. You should call

:43:39. > :43:40.

:43:40. > :43:44.yourself Gonad! The God of talking bollocks. Gonad!

:43:44. > :43:50.APPLAUSE Only a woman would think a wrestler

:43:50. > :43:55.could call himself Gonad. One punch to the Gonad and that's it, Gonad's

:43:55. > :43:59.not doing anything for a long time. For years, people have quaked in

:43:59. > :44:03.their boots at the sight of Claude but you managed to get him say

:44:03. > :44:13.something that we have not heard before. A cogent sensible plan. I'm

:44:13. > :44:16.

:44:16. > :44:19.mesmerized by the guy, I have to say. That was great? Know, Claude,

:44:19. > :44:23.he must have thought he was going to give him a forearm smash or

:44:23. > :44:29.something. But no, look, credit where it's due and Claude says it

:44:29. > :44:34.as it is, you know, he's a good adviser. When you are in that

:44:34. > :44:38.interview, you must have been there going, I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead,

:44:38. > :44:44.were you genuinely sitting there thinking, he's taking me apart?

:44:44. > :44:47.felt like this before I went in the room. He said "I've read your

:44:47. > :44:51.business plan". He led me into that. I went in there knowing how bad the

:44:51. > :44:54.application form was, but I thought the business plan was good. To hear

:44:54. > :44:58.that from Claude gave me a big boost in confidence in that

:44:58. > :45:03.interview and I think I reformed maist in that interview even,

:45:03. > :45:07.stopping being scared of him -- myself. It was very encouraging.

:45:07. > :45:11.Two women who're very important to you, your mother Diane, you've only

:45:11. > :45:21.just found out that he's won. You must be desperate to say something

:45:21. > :45:26.

:45:26. > :45:32.to him? Well done, darling, I'm Was it difficult to watch this?

:45:32. > :45:38.was quite difficult because you kept having a go at him at the

:45:38. > :45:47.beginning. I thought, "Poor Richard." I didn't mean me. I meant

:45:47. > :45:57.the show. Now, I feel really guilty.... And the final tonight,

:45:57. > :45:58.

:45:58. > :46:07.did you think, he's out? No, I have every confidence in him. His dad

:46:07. > :46:14.and I are so very, very proud of him.

:46:15. > :46:22.Sitting besides your mum is your new wife. Jemma, how are you?

:46:22. > :46:27.well. He worked so hard. He deserves to be here. Your new wife

:46:27. > :46:33.as well. Done well here. This could go either way, like, well, well,

:46:34. > :46:42.well, this is lovely. I knew all along. You have been the project

:46:42. > :46:46.manager three times? Three times. Which stung more, the wine one or

:46:46. > :46:49.the exercise? I think the exercise one stung because it is something I

:46:49. > :46:54.am passionate about. It is not recruitment, which is what I do.

:46:54. > :46:59.The fact I went there saying this task is for me and then I lost is

:46:59. > :47:05.pretty embarrassing. Mind you, you did turn around and you came out on

:47:05. > :47:12.top last week. You put yourself forward as the

:47:12. > :47:21.project manager. I am keen to put myself forward on this one. Lean

:47:21. > :47:29.you back slowly. Is that OK? That's good. Modern skae gentlemen will

:47:29. > :47:37.target traditional -- Jepbtmen will target the traditional business.

:47:37. > :47:47.They understood their business, their positioning in the market.

:47:47. > :47:47.

:47:47. > :47:50.Yours was far more thought out. Did you feel under pressure at that

:47:50. > :47:59.stage? It was make or break. I could not go into the final and

:47:59. > :48:05.lose twice. I thought I would have no credibility to become Lord Sap

:48:05. > :48:12.sugar's business partner. What did you think through the

:48:12. > :48:17.process? I think I always knew he could do I. The -- could do it. I

:48:17. > :48:24.knew he had it in him to do it. You could see that throughout the

:48:24. > :48:28.series. You would not be impressed with that as a cosmetics range?

:48:28. > :48:34.I wouldn't. I would love to see you put it on your face and see what

:48:34. > :48:38.happened after 48 hours. The bit I loved is when you made the chilli

:48:38. > :48:42.sauce. You were left with something in the bottom of the pot. You stood

:48:42. > :48:47.there, in your lovely white coat, with your spoon in your hand and

:48:47. > :48:50.you went "Go and reheat it and we'll add water." I think that

:48:50. > :48:53.often is the sign of an entrepreneur. You look at what you

:48:54. > :48:59.are left with and how can I turn this around? It was at that point I

:48:59. > :49:03.started to really love you because you could see within you, you had

:49:03. > :49:12.segregated all the emotions and situation and you brought it back

:49:12. > :49:17.together again. What a result - 21 extra bottles sold at 1.27 each.

:49:17. > :49:24.Wasn't quite the Dunkirk spirit? Not really. Let's take a moment to

:49:24. > :49:28.talk about the other finalists. Firstly, Nick, who excelled through

:49:28. > :49:33.the series? Nick is a very clever fella. He is clever because he's

:49:33. > :49:38.not had a television for 20 years. Your idea, from my point of view,

:49:38. > :49:43.what I would suggest you might want to do is get on an aeroplane to

:49:43. > :49:53.America. It seems they have an appetite for these mad, long-term

:49:53. > :49:55.

:49:55. > :50:01.ideas N this country we don't have the venture capital lists --

:50:01. > :50:05.capitalists. Wasn't bad for a week's work, I

:50:05. > :50:11.suppose! As for the last woman standing -

:50:11. > :50:16.Jade? What a great character. Last lady standing, really. She's a

:50:16. > :50:20.great sales person. A great spirit. I hope she goes on and plays her

:50:20. > :50:24.dream out. What would you say was your most memorable moment in the

:50:24. > :50:29.series? Well, sometimes the most memorable is not the best moment. I

:50:29. > :50:34.mean I think when you ask Ricky what he thought when he first saw

:50:34. > :50:41.that advert for the wine - I mean I couldn't believe my eyes. I really

:50:41. > :50:51.thought they were having a laugh. I thought they would play me

:50:51. > :50:51.

:50:51. > :50:56.another tape. For one last time, why don't we sit back and enjoy the

:50:56. > :51:06.one-act masterpiece that screams English wine is a luxury good.

:51:06. > :51:14.might remind you of Sid James. I didn't tell you to make a carry on

:51:14. > :51:21.boozing movie. This is not the English sparkling wine I ordered.

:51:21. > :51:31.Darling. I expected Kenneth Williams to pop in any moment and

:51:31. > :51:39.say someone has nicked my grandeur. Spielberg can rest easy, that's for

:51:39. > :51:49.sure! APPLAUSE

:51:49. > :52:01.

:52:01. > :52:05.We have to find distinguishing APPLAUSE

:52:05. > :52:11.Did you know that your face does that? Were you aware of that?

:52:11. > :52:21.knew I did it. I used to do it in wrestling a bit. I used to bounce

:52:21. > :52:23.

:52:23. > :52:29.them. Is there a lot of room for that? I didn't realise I did it

:52:29. > :52:39.that much. The more I see it, the more I start doing it. It is an

:52:39. > :52:40.

:52:40. > :52:50.endless cycle. Sell tape them down. Of all my favourite moments, it is,

:52:50. > :52:56.have I made a terrible decision here? Look no further. The Hula-

:52:56. > :53:06.hoop. This is the funky sport. The Grove

:53:06. > :53:07.

:53:07. > :53:11.Train. -- Groove Train.

:53:11. > :53:21.Lord Sugar, as ever you have given us some memorable moments this

:53:21. > :53:31.

:53:31. > :53:35.series. Let's have a look at your This is turning ugly. I don't know

:53:35. > :53:39.what you were thinking. You should have all known better. Basically,

:53:39. > :53:49.it sucks! That's enough. Where does humour

:53:49. > :53:55.

:53:55. > :53:59.That sound quite good. The irony will be that the writing

:53:59. > :54:07.will be on the wall for one of you today.

:54:07. > :54:14.Not looking for the Turner Prize, more like theUre nip Prize. What

:54:14. > :54:24.I'm sat listening to here is diabolical, but I am looking for a

:54:24. > :54:26.

:54:26. > :54:32.partner. The Marks to my Spencer, the len none -- Lenon to my

:54:32. > :54:41.McCartney. I'm a pensioner now. Relax! I don't want too much hard

:54:41. > :54:51.work. Darling get me a spaghetti

:54:51. > :54:58.

:54:59. > :55:06.APPLAUSE We've held back as far as we could,

:55:06. > :55:16.but we cannot wait any longer. Let us witness The Fitness. It is smart

:55:16. > :55:16.

:55:16. > :55:20.shoes, by nights it is hot pants, knee-high boots. It's flamboyant!

:55:21. > :55:30.They call me The Fitness, a superstar. I am the reflection of

:55:31. > :55:37.

:55:37. > :55:40.I'll be the heavyweight champion in the business world. Lord Sugar will

:55:40. > :55:44.see that. The boardroom will be like being in a fight.

:55:44. > :55:54.You don't want to be with me, you're going to lose.

:55:54. > :55:56.

:55:57. > :56:02.APPLAUSE Is this the end of The Fitness?

:56:02. > :56:08.certainly is the end of The Fitness. The only fitness you'll see is

:56:08. > :56:14.business fitness. I that's what you'll get to me as I take the

:56:14. > :56:18.business forward. Will you frame them? Wrestling's gone. This is

:56:18. > :56:23.serious now. I have 250,000. Lord Sugar and I are going to make a

:56:23. > :56:28.success. There's no room for The Fitness and the wrestling any more.

:56:28. > :56:35.Really! There's space for a hobby. It is

:56:35. > :56:40.unusual. It is unusual to have that as a hobby. You need two people to

:56:40. > :56:46.wrestle with. You, Lord Sugar!

:56:46. > :56:54.No. He'd have no chance with me! But I might set up a rink with

:56:54. > :57:00.Claude, maybe. He could give him the eyes and then

:57:00. > :57:04.slam! Margaret could be the referee.

:57:04. > :57:09.are thrilled about your new business. We made you up one of

:57:09. > :57:14.these. They are business cards for you. You can see them close up.

:57:14. > :57:24.Obviously we think it's time for you to now, finally, as your mother

:57:24. > :57:24.

:57:24. > :57:32.says, to be Richard Martin. If you want to go back, you flip them

:57:32. > :57:38.over! I like it. I will put them in my pocket.

:57:38. > :57:42.Ricky you gave us 12 amazing weeks. Here are your highlights. My name

:57:43. > :57:46.is Ricky Martin. There are two Ricky Martins in the world. One

:57:46. > :57:52.tries to get number ones in the pop world T other gets number ones in

:57:52. > :57:58.the business world. You see, I'm a sweet man. We like to take pride in

:57:58. > :58:05.our appearance. It will be too fruity. I am just very different.

:58:05. > :58:11.Get it ready. It's a deal, it's a steal. It's the sale of the

:58:11. > :58:15.century! He knows how to turn the charm on.

:58:15. > :58:20.Fancy some dinner this evening. always witness The Fitness with

:58:20. > :58:30.Ricky Martin. Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of

:58:30. > :58:35.

:58:35. > :58:42.The Apprentice, 2012, Ricky Martin. And so that is it for this series.

:58:42. > :58:46.Thanks to all my guests. Don't forget to apply for The Apprentice

:58:46. > :58:51.2013 by going to the website. You will find all the details. Who
