0:32:18 > 0:32:21# I wish that I could find the words to say... #
0:32:21 > 0:32:24Towards the end of the night, all six of us just stood there for a moment.
0:32:24 > 0:32:27I thought, "Man, this is a cool moment right here."
0:32:27 > 0:32:31You know, we have been through a lot together, you know?
0:32:31 > 0:32:33It was about all of us working together
0:32:33 > 0:32:35to make this thing happen.
0:32:35 > 0:32:38# That made you so... #
0:32:38 > 0:32:41That picture spoke 1,000 words.
0:32:41 > 0:32:44APPLAUSE
0:32:44 > 0:32:47Thank you, guys. God bless you all for coming out tonight.
0:32:49 > 0:32:52I'm pleased to announce that Howard Lutnick
0:32:52 > 0:32:54and the other partners of Cantor Fitzgerald
0:32:54 > 0:32:57will be matching your text donation tonight
0:32:57 > 0:33:01in an amount worth up to 250,000. That's terrific.
0:33:01 > 0:33:05APPLAUSE
0:33:05 > 0:33:11That will be split between both Piers' and Trace's charities.
0:33:11 > 0:33:17Now, say hello to two special friends of mine and the show,
0:33:17 > 0:33:20Erin Burnett and Jim Cramer, two terrific people.
0:33:20 > 0:33:24APPLAUSE
0:33:28 > 0:33:32And she's beautiful, and, to me, he's handsome. Right?
0:33:32 > 0:33:37The Board Room has always been my favourite part of the show,
0:33:37 > 0:33:39and a lot of other people agree with me,
0:33:39 > 0:33:42because that's where the action is. Take a look.
0:34:29 > 0:34:32- Lennox, you've been my friend for a long time.- Yes.
0:34:32 > 0:34:37I want an honest answer. You know both players very well,
0:34:37 > 0:34:38Piers and Trace. Who's better?
0:34:38 > 0:34:42Well, their styles are different.
0:34:42 > 0:34:47Trace's style is more laid-back and it allows you to do your work.
0:34:47 > 0:34:51Piers' style is in your face and it gets you going, and, you know...
0:34:51 > 0:34:52What style do you like better?
0:34:54 > 0:34:59I like Trace's style. He makes you want to work for him.
0:34:59 > 0:35:02He switched, Piers, didn't he? He did a little flop.
0:35:02 > 0:35:07- I think we know why he likes the laid-back approach from a project manager.- Why?
0:35:07 > 0:35:11- It suits him, doesn't it? - He is a little laid-back, except when it counts.
0:35:11 > 0:35:14- You fired him because he was laid-back.- Well, he's laid-back
0:35:14 > 0:35:18but when it counted, he was never laid-back, and that's over years,
0:35:18 > 0:35:21- I'm not talking over the last 14 weeks.- I agree. The truth is,
0:35:21 > 0:35:24I think I've made a friend for life with him.
0:35:24 > 0:35:25- Absolutely.- He's a great guy.
0:35:25 > 0:35:28He's a great guy with a great heart and we had a lot of fun.
0:35:28 > 0:35:31He's one of the few people who understood my sense of humour,
0:35:31 > 0:35:33- which helped.- It's true.
0:35:33 > 0:35:37Let me ask you this, why did you pick Stephen to be on your team?
0:35:37 > 0:35:40- I was a little surprised. - I worked very well with him.
0:35:40 > 0:35:44We may have had flare-ups but as a team, we won almost every challenge we did together.
0:35:44 > 0:35:49You had flare-ups to the point where Stephen had asked specifically
0:35:49 > 0:35:52not to work with you. So it was risky,
0:35:52 > 0:35:55- because Stephen could have ultimately worked against you.- Sure.
0:35:55 > 0:36:01- I was totally surprised.- OK, I thought the event was fantastic.
0:36:01 > 0:36:05Tell me about the Backstreet Boys. I heard they were very difficult.
0:36:05 > 0:36:10- Tell me, Trace.- I met them and they all seemed nice young men
0:36:10 > 0:36:13and we sat down and had a cup of coffee, and I wanted to assure them
0:36:13 > 0:36:16I've been doing this for a long time.
0:36:16 > 0:36:20I know how to do this stuff and I'll make this stuff happen.
0:36:20 > 0:36:24- Why were they so difficult? I heard they were impossible. - Well, their rider,
0:36:24 > 0:36:26the stuff they wanted in the dressing room.
0:36:26 > 0:36:28- At first...- What did they want?
0:36:28 > 0:36:32It was just all kind of strange stuff.
0:36:32 > 0:36:35Particular kinds of water, certain kinds of peanut butter
0:36:35 > 0:36:38- in the sandwiches and how they had to be made.- Carol, is that right?
0:36:38 > 0:36:42- Were you dealing with them?- I didn't see the rider. Trace came to me
0:36:42 > 0:36:45at one point and said, "Where do I get wheatgrass juice?!"
0:36:45 > 0:36:49- How about the black nail polish? - That was a classic for me.
0:36:49 > 0:36:53- Who bought the nail polish?- I did. Lennox carried it back to him,
0:36:53 > 0:36:56though, and I thought, "Here, Lennox, you carry this nail polish.
0:36:56 > 0:36:59"I want the heavyweight champion of the world
0:36:59 > 0:37:01"to hand this kid nail polish."
0:37:01 > 0:37:05The nightmare scenario for me was that I was going to end up
0:37:05 > 0:37:09at 8:30 in the evening with a band that was not going to go on stage.
0:37:09 > 0:37:12That was the nightmare scenario, and I was starting to get signs
0:37:12 > 0:37:15and signals from these guys that that may happen.
0:37:15 > 0:37:19Actually, by the time they got out on stage, they were really sweet
0:37:19 > 0:37:22and we had a very good time because, you know, I think in the beginning
0:37:22 > 0:37:27- they were a little wound-up.- They sounded good, the performance was energetic. It was great.
0:37:27 > 0:37:29As a fellow musician, were you a little bit offended?
0:37:29 > 0:37:33Like in some way, I think if Piers had been in charge of them
0:37:33 > 0:37:36it'd be more acceptable to ask him. You're not a musician...
0:37:36 > 0:37:39Someone in their own field, I would be embarrassed if I were them.
0:37:39 > 0:37:41Did you know about this, Piers?
0:37:41 > 0:37:44If I had had a request for nail polish and wheatgrass...
0:37:44 > 0:37:48- What would you have done with the band?- I'd have given them hell.
0:37:48 > 0:37:52- I'd say, "Stick your nail polish." - Then they wouldn't show up. - Yes, they would.
0:37:52 > 0:37:55- I don't know.- They wouldn't have shown up?- You know, he may be right.
0:37:55 > 0:38:01- Of course they would have showed up. For 20 million viewers?- Sometimes you kiss ass and it doesn't work.
0:38:01 > 0:38:04Sometimes you can be tough and you get more. You may be right.
0:38:04 > 0:38:08Could I have pulled the veteran chops on them
0:38:08 > 0:38:11and started smacking them around? Yeah, I could have beat up
0:38:11 > 0:38:14the whole band by myself. But my ultimate responsibility
0:38:14 > 0:38:18was to put a happy band on stage that night.
0:38:18 > 0:38:22I just don't go in for blowing smoke up people's backsides.
0:38:22 > 0:38:27Carol, who did a better job, Trace or Piers? Which team was better?
0:38:27 > 0:38:30Ultimately, part of the task was raising money
0:38:30 > 0:38:34- and Piers did that very, very well. - It's true.
0:38:34 > 0:38:39Overall, raised from the auction items, Piers raised 376,000,
0:38:39 > 0:38:42compared to Trace's 64,000.
0:38:42 > 0:38:46I don't know what they raised for ticket sales.
0:38:46 > 0:38:48I can tell you what they raised.
0:38:48 > 0:38:52Trace did a far better job with ticket sales.
0:38:52 > 0:38:5638,000 versus 12,000.
0:38:56 > 0:39:00So Piers won on auction items and Trace won on ticket sales.
0:39:00 > 0:39:04- So if you look at it as those are the two components you are working from.- Can I throw...
0:39:04 > 0:39:05Let me throw something in here.
0:39:05 > 0:39:07Let Carol.
0:39:07 > 0:39:13Piers made a decision to bring people from the Intrepid Foundation, the soldiers...
0:39:13 > 0:39:16That was lovely, and people really responded well to that.
0:39:16 > 0:39:20- We decided to allocate 20, nearly half our allocation. - Whose idea was that?- Mine.
0:39:20 > 0:39:24We gave away half our tickets quite deliberately knowing we were then foregoing sales,
0:39:24 > 0:39:29and I wanted those people from the charity in the room, and I think everyone found it moving,
0:39:29 > 0:39:34but I did that in the knowledge that on the auction I was raising a huge amount of money.
0:39:34 > 0:39:37And getting my man Simon, you know, I love Simon Cowell, he's a great guy.
0:39:37 > 0:39:41- You didn't know we were friends... - I knew you were, he talks very highly of you.
0:39:41 > 0:39:44- He's a fantastic guy. - He bid 100,000.
0:39:44 > 0:39:48He knew it was a great charity, and for Simon it's not a lot of money, and he did it,
0:39:48 > 0:39:50but it was a very generous contribution.
0:39:50 > 0:39:52And worth it.
0:39:52 > 0:39:55The comparison between ticket sales does make me laugh,
0:39:55 > 0:39:59because if you look at the overall figure, I raised nearly 400,000.
0:39:59 > 0:40:01No-one's questioning that,
0:40:01 > 0:40:05you were also given multiple criteria on which you were going to be evaluated.
0:40:05 > 0:40:09But he did raise a lot more money in terms of the charity, so that's pretty big.
0:40:09 > 0:40:12I didn't just beat the other side, I pulverised them on donations.
0:40:12 > 0:40:15I know that's only one part of the challenge,
0:40:15 > 0:40:18but it was a deliberate strategy about what we're raising here.
0:40:18 > 0:40:22I understand that, and I'd like to say something, though.
0:40:22 > 0:40:26It hurt my people as much, if not more, to spend five, six or seven grand
0:40:26 > 0:40:30than some guy who's a billionaire coming in pledging 100,000,
0:40:30 > 0:40:33for him to make that seem like it's less relevant.
0:40:33 > 0:40:36- I don't follow that argument. - I know you wouldn't.
0:40:36 > 0:40:40I wasn't criticising your donors in any shape or form.
0:40:40 > 0:40:41I resent that very highly.
0:40:41 > 0:40:47That's all I'm saying, I was beginning to resent the way you were referring to the people I had.
0:40:47 > 0:40:49- I haven't referred to them at all. - You did. OK, whatever.
0:40:49 > 0:40:53- When did I refer to them?- All right. - I'd like you to take it back.
0:40:53 > 0:40:56- Take what back?- The inference that I was somehow belittling your donors.
0:40:56 > 0:41:00At no stage have I said anything of the sort. I know I'm the evil guy in all this.
0:41:00 > 0:41:05- I'm sure you thought it. - I do have some decent streaks in me. - That's his personality,
0:41:05 > 0:41:10Whether he said it or not, absolutely he thought about it, because it's the way he is.
0:41:10 > 0:41:14- I don't think he did.- That's not fair either.- Yes, it is.- It's not.
0:41:14 > 0:41:17So who is responsible for the food?
0:41:17 > 0:41:22- Carol did all the work on that. - Where was it? I didn't see any.
0:41:22 > 0:41:27It was quite a deliberate strategy because I did not want anyone eating.
0:41:27 > 0:41:32- I wanted them drinking, getting light-headed...- Did you want to get people drunk, high, or what?
0:41:32 > 0:41:36A bit tipsy. I wanted rich celebrities to get a little bit tipsy,
0:41:36 > 0:41:40feeling a little bit high and merry and then stick their hands up
0:41:40 > 0:41:44- and spend money.- Smart people won't allow that to happen.
0:41:44 > 0:41:50- I'm talking about the atmosphere you try to create.- That's why I don't drink, but it's true.
0:41:50 > 0:41:53So, Stephen, what do you think about that?
0:41:53 > 0:41:56I don't agree with his methodology. If I were running an auction
0:41:56 > 0:42:02I wouldn't want to get someone tipsy so we could get their money, it's just the kind of guy I am.
0:42:02 > 0:42:06- That's now, for the last five years because you're born again, right? - Right. Correct.
0:42:06 > 0:42:09- You drank for America before that, with respect.- What?
0:42:09 > 0:42:15He drank for America before that period, so he would have been absolutely in there.
0:42:15 > 0:42:17He's done an amazing job coming back from...
0:42:17 > 0:42:21I don't disrespect that, but it's this constant moral high ground he takes.
0:42:21 > 0:42:26He does this stuff in the boardroom, he doesn't do any of this stuff when we're together in a room working,
0:42:26 > 0:42:30so he's playing a role to the heartland of America to say "Look at me,
0:42:30 > 0:42:32"I'm St Stephen." I ain't buying it.
0:42:32 > 0:42:35This is exactly what upset Stephen the last time.
0:42:35 > 0:42:39- Tough! They're giving it to me, why should I take it?- He's done something
0:42:39 > 0:42:43- very special with his life, don't you think?- He's not the only Christian in the room.
0:42:43 > 0:42:46I'm a Roman Catholic, I believe in God as well.
0:42:46 > 0:42:51- I don't stand there taking the high moral ground.- Why are you sweating again? You sweat a lot.
0:42:51 > 0:42:54Look at you, nobody else's sweating.
0:42:54 > 0:43:01- Because I'm British and we tend to get hot under the collar about these things.- You sweat a lot.
0:43:01 > 0:43:03What can I do about it?
0:43:04 > 0:43:06I think there are two ways of going into this.
0:43:06 > 0:43:10You raised a lot of money and nobody could argue with you.
0:43:10 > 0:43:15The only arguments against you seem to be the way you've handled other people.
0:43:15 > 0:43:18So from a business strategy would it not have been smarter
0:43:18 > 0:43:23to come in here, but maybe not have just said that to Stephen, held that back?
0:43:23 > 0:43:25No, cos he was on one of his little speeches.
0:43:25 > 0:43:30- You lost it with Omarosa. This could be used against you.- Excuse me, isn't it a pretty hard statement?
0:43:30 > 0:43:34- I haven't finished...- I had the same problem in my life, you know that. The same problem.
0:43:34 > 0:43:37I'd like to clarify, this would be helpful...
0:43:37 > 0:43:41- Go ahead.- Everyone here wants St Trace to win, because America likes a nice guy
0:43:41 > 0:43:45and I've been portrayed as the devil, I don't mind that at all.
0:43:45 > 0:43:47But just to clarify...
0:43:47 > 0:43:51- Portrayed against good versus bad. - Evil. The clash of civilisations.
0:43:51 > 0:43:55The good, the bad, the ugly. Who's the ugly?
0:43:55 > 0:43:57OK, go ahead. I don't know.
0:43:57 > 0:44:03The women don't think so. All that matters is the women don't think so, right, Lennox?
0:44:03 > 0:44:06It would be helpful to all of us, Mr Trump, if you would just clarify
0:44:06 > 0:44:10absolutely what the purpose of this game was.
0:44:10 > 0:44:14Was it to be the nicest guy in the boardroom,
0:44:14 > 0:44:18or was it to be the most efficient, effective businessman/charity fundraiser?
0:44:18 > 0:44:20I think I know the right answer,
0:44:20 > 0:44:25- unless the rules have changed.- Trace, I want you to give me that answer.
0:44:25 > 0:44:27All right.
0:44:27 > 0:44:30When I came here I thought my job was to represent
0:44:30 > 0:44:36the 12 million-plus people in this country who were afflicted with severe food allergies
0:44:36 > 0:44:43and to represent the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network in a way that would bring them no dishonour.
0:44:43 > 0:44:46- And you've done a very nice job. - That was all I intended to do.
0:44:46 > 0:44:48He's done a brilliant job.
0:44:48 > 0:44:53And along the way, if we could raise a lot of money for them, that was my intent as well.
0:44:53 > 0:44:57But at no time was I going to do anything
0:44:57 > 0:45:02that would bring any kind of dishonour to myself or them.
0:45:02 > 0:45:05Did Piers bring dishonour to himself?
0:45:05 > 0:45:08He's conducted himself, in my opinion...
0:45:08 > 0:45:14- In a ruthless manner? - It's all it is, my opinion, I think there were times
0:45:14 > 0:45:17when he conducted himself in a questionable manner,
0:45:17 > 0:45:21and he has lashed out at people where I didn't think they quite deserved it.
0:45:21 > 0:45:25Stephen nearly said something and Piers reached out
0:45:25 > 0:45:28and cut him deep.
0:45:28 > 0:45:32I'm actually raising money for seriously wounded soldiers who get wounded in battle.
0:45:32 > 0:45:36I think if Stephen Baldwin has a bit of an issue with the way I talk to him,
0:45:36 > 0:45:40it's a price I'm prepared to pay to raise that money. We're playing a business game.
0:45:40 > 0:45:44If we were playing a popularity game I would have come in and gone,
0:45:44 > 0:45:50- "Mr Trump, how are you feeling this morning?"- You would have been gone a long time ago.- Exactly.
0:45:50 > 0:45:51You know what,
0:45:51 > 0:45:56after you gave us our task, the first thing we did,
0:45:56 > 0:45:59we got together to determine who was going to have what responsibility.
0:45:59 > 0:46:03I think Piers began to speak first, and he said "This is what we are going to do,
0:46:03 > 0:46:09"We are going to work together and try to make this the very best event it can possibly be,"
0:46:09 > 0:46:13and I said, "I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment, that's what we should do."
0:46:13 > 0:46:18And so in that spirit he took what he thought he would be able to do the best,
0:46:18 > 0:46:21and I did what I thought I would be able to do the best,
0:46:21 > 0:46:25and throughout the whole thing we did, we worked together,
0:46:25 > 0:46:30just to try to make it as good an event as it could possibly be. I commend him for that.
0:46:30 > 0:46:32This is very tough.
0:46:32 > 0:46:35This is the toughest thing I've had to do in a long time.
0:46:38 > 0:46:39APPLAUSE
0:46:44 > 0:46:46They couldn't have been more different
0:46:46 > 0:46:51and they couldn't have been better matched to face off for the title of Celebrity Apprentice.
0:46:51 > 0:46:54He's a hell of a singer and one of the nicest guys
0:46:54 > 0:46:58to ever be in my boardroom. Please welcome Trace Adkins.
0:46:58 > 0:47:00APPLAUSE
0:47:23 > 0:47:27He played the game with ruthless intelligence, he's a vicious guy,
0:47:27 > 0:47:30I guess, or at least that's what they say, Trace.
0:47:30 > 0:47:32Come on out here, Piers Morgan. Come on.
0:47:32 > 0:47:35APPLAUSE AND SOME BOOING
0:47:50 > 0:47:54Let's get down to it. Trace, you don't like him much. Why?
0:47:54 > 0:47:57- No, I don't like him.- Why?
0:47:57 > 0:48:02I don't base that on anything, just what I've observed him doing the last few months.
0:48:02 > 0:48:06- But he's a very capable guy. - Oh, yeah, he's capable, absolutely.
0:48:06 > 0:48:10- Do you think he's more capable than you?- No.
0:48:10 > 0:48:16I remember when you introduced us to Mr Cramer and Mr Burnett,
0:48:16 > 0:48:19and you introduced them with great accolades of...

0:50:35 > 0:50:40Read my lips, you're a disgusting little tramp and you're off the show.

0:51:22 > 0:51:26He doesn't think so, but I think so. Why do you dislike this man so much?
0:51:26 > 0:51:31Because he doesn't floss. I'm very big into dental health, and his dental hygiene is...
0:51:31 > 0:51:35That's not good. That's probably the worst answer you've given.
0:51:35 > 0:51:42I'm hoping we can take some of the 250,000 and donate maybe 200 to get his teeth cleaned.
0:51:42 > 0:51:46- What do you think of her, Piers? - Sorry, what did you say your name was?
0:51:46 > 0:51:47CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:51:47 > 0:51:51It's funny, Piers, I was thinking the same thing about you.

0:52:23 > 0:52:30Being on both teams, they are very confident.

0:52:41 > 0:52:44I know what it's like to be in business.
0:52:44 > 0:52:46This is a tough world and a tough economy,
0:52:46 > 0:52:51and if you have to get ahead by using your edge, I think Piers used it very well.
0:52:51 > 0:52:52And what about Trace?
0:52:52 > 0:52:55- APPLAUSE - Thank you.
0:52:56 > 0:53:02Truthfully, Mr Trump, you know I thought I should have been in the final, I mean, come on,
0:53:02 > 0:53:06- for a man who's used so many beautiful women...- Your answer's not very good today.
0:53:06 > 0:53:10- I'm telling you...- You're choking under live television, Carol!
0:53:10 > 0:53:13I'm not, because you know I should have been in,
0:53:13 > 0:53:16so it's hard for me to talk about Trace cos I never worked with him.
0:53:16 > 0:53:20You know the truth, you've done a great job. Stephen, Stephen Baldwin.
0:53:20 > 0:53:22Yes, Mr Trump?
0:53:22 > 0:53:23APPLAUSE
0:53:26 > 0:53:30Stephen told me he wasn't doing so well until the Celebrity Apprentice,
0:53:30 > 0:53:37and now he's like a big star when he walks down the street.
0:53:37 > 0:53:39But did you sabotage your friend over here, Piers?
0:53:39 > 0:53:43Were you really that bad, or did you want him to lose?
0:53:43 > 0:53:48I think Piers mentioned earlier that he's made some friends for life.
0:53:48 > 0:53:50I'm not necessarily sure I'm one of them.
0:53:50 > 0:53:53What do you think of him?
0:53:53 > 0:53:57- Tough guy. Good at business, good at raising money.- What about Trace?
0:53:57 > 0:54:03There's no question in my mind he's ten times better than Piers any day.
0:54:03 > 0:54:06CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:54:08 > 0:54:14Vinnie, you're another tough guy, but you resigned. You wish you didn't resign, thinking about it?
0:54:14 > 0:54:18Yes, I do wish I didn't resign,
0:54:18 > 0:54:21- but Lennox pushed me over the edge. - Why?
0:54:21 > 0:54:24Because I took him out the night before,
0:54:24 > 0:54:26and the next day he turns on me.
0:54:26 > 0:54:31- I'm not taking him out any more. - That wasn't true. That wasn't true.
0:54:31 > 0:54:36I took you to meet Chazz Palminteri, and the next day you went on this guy's side.
0:54:36 > 0:54:39He can't take you to meet Chazz Palminteri!
0:54:39 > 0:54:42LAUGHTER
0:54:45 > 0:54:49- You asked me who the best guy was, who would I want on my team? - Who's the best?
0:54:49 > 0:54:51At that time it was Piers.
0:54:51 > 0:54:53What about now?
0:54:55 > 0:55:00You're honest, Lennox, and I respect you for it because he was pretty rough with you sometimes, right?

0:55:13 > 0:55:16however, but that was fine, that suited my energy anyway.
0:55:16 > 0:55:20I keep telling all my friends they have to do the next one.
0:55:20 > 0:55:23Jennie, are you going to win a gold medal for us, please?
0:55:23 > 0:55:26The greatest softball pitcher ever.
0:55:26 > 0:55:28APPLAUSE
0:55:28 > 0:55:31- Are you going to win a gold medal? - We'll do our best.- Are you?- Yes.

0:55:42 > 0:55:45Have we all had fun? Has this been something?
0:55:45 > 0:55:48Raise your hands, you like Piers, raise your hands.
0:55:48 > 0:55:51I like both of them.
0:55:51 > 0:55:54If you like Trace, raise your hand.
0:55:54 > 0:55:56CHEERING
0:55:56 > 0:55:59Lennox raised his hand both times. Lennox raised his hand both times.
0:55:59 > 0:56:04You know what, we have one more celebrity to hear from.
0:56:04 > 0:56:09He has the ego, he has the smarts, even has the big hair, you know, like me, sort of.
0:56:09 > 0:56:14So why did Gene Simmons leave so early? What happened? Take a look.
0:56:17 > 0:56:21I can smell it. We'll kill 'em.
0:56:21 > 0:56:24- What sign are you, Gene? - Dollar sign, baby, dollar sign!
0:56:24 > 0:56:29If I was sitting on the sidelines I'd say, "Gene Simmons, you're a powerful and attractive man."
0:56:29 > 0:56:35Gene Simmons convinced everyone he had the answers, including himself.
0:56:35 > 0:56:37It's a Kodak world and we just live in it.
0:56:37 > 0:56:41But the client had other ideas.
0:56:41 > 0:56:45This is the most important thing. The buzzwords are bringing printing back at home again.
0:56:45 > 0:56:48They are wrong.
0:56:48 > 0:56:53Despite the team's loss, Gene was convinced it was Kodak who had missed the mark.
0:56:53 > 0:56:57If Kodak were to come in, I would say to them in front of you and everybody else,
0:56:57 > 0:57:03"You're a terrific company, I respect your brand, and in this instance, you're wrong."
0:57:03 > 0:57:04APPLAUSE
0:57:10 > 0:57:15Gene is a stubborn guy, he just wouldn't give up, so I wonder, has he changed his mind?
0:57:15 > 0:57:21Well, here, live from Tokyo, Japan, Gene, you can hear me?
0:57:21 > 0:57:22You bet.
0:57:22 > 0:57:25CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
0:57:25 > 0:57:27You know, we are in Japan shooting a movie,
0:57:27 > 0:57:31and I just want to say to all my Japanese friends around the world...
0:57:31 > 0:57:34HE SPEAKS JAPANESE
0:57:34 > 0:57:36OK, very nice.
0:57:36 > 0:57:41Gene, would you finally admit that you were wrong with respect to Kodak,
0:57:41 > 0:57:47because frankly I heard they doubled their sales with their idea. What do you think, Gene?
0:57:47 > 0:57:51You're saying ink at half the price doubled their sales, very short-sighted.
0:57:51 > 0:57:55I love Kodak, my family uses Kodak products, it is a quality product,
0:57:55 > 0:57:59a big mistake, very short-sighted on their part to think of
0:57:59 > 0:58:01the short haul, everything is becoming digital,
0:58:01 > 0:58:03it's a Kodak world.
0:58:03 > 0:58:06I stand by it then, I stand by every word now.
0:58:06 > 0:58:08That's the correct branding. It's a Kodak world.
0:58:08 > 0:58:11I'm not surprised to hear you stand by it but we have the Kodak
0:58:11 > 0:58:13executives here, Jeff Hayzlett, what do you think?
0:58:13 > 0:58:15I love Gene, I love your passion,
0:58:15 > 0:58:19everything you stand for in terms of this, you're talking the right
0:58:19 > 0:58:21things about a Kodak world. We believe it's a Kodak world.
0:58:21 > 0:58:23In fact, we've got a website called the Kodak world,
0:58:23 > 0:58:25we've had it for a long time.
0:58:25 > 0:58:28We even have some of the stars that are here tonight on that website but
0:58:28 > 0:58:31you missed the task, that's the key thing. The customer is always right.
0:58:31 > 0:58:33In this case pricey ink stinks,
0:58:33 > 0:58:36everybody loves the Kodak all-in-one printer, we can't
0:58:36 > 0:58:39keep them on the shelves, this year will triple and Donald, as you said,
0:58:39 > 0:58:42we doubled our sales through this.
0:58:42 > 0:58:44So Jeff, you think you're right, Gene was wrong?
0:58:44 > 0:58:47In this case we were right, the stars were right,
0:58:47 > 0:58:48the winning team led it, they did it.
0:58:48 > 0:58:53Gene, one last question, Trace or Piers, who do I pick?
0:58:53 > 0:58:55There is a two-sided story to this.
0:58:55 > 0:59:00One is television show we're all on, the Celebrity Apprentice,
0:59:00 > 0:59:04and there was a task given and certainly Piers outperformed in pure cash.
0:59:04 > 0:59:09Trace Adkins, however, has a quality that is sorely missing in America and that is called a tug of the
0:59:09 > 0:59:14heart, his voice, his persona, that quiet moment when the flag of these
0:59:14 > 0:59:19United States of America goes up there should be a moment of silence
0:59:19 > 0:59:23for the flag that gave your life possibility and Trace Adkins
0:59:23 > 0:59:26has that quality, that "ah, shucks" kind of demeanour.
0:59:26 > 0:59:29All he needs to do is surround himself by other...
0:59:29 > 0:59:31...So Gene, who do you like? Tell me!
0:59:31 > 0:59:33Who do you like?
0:59:33 > 0:59:38I like you too, Gene, but you should have gone with Kodak.
0:59:38 > 0:59:40They'll come back to me, you'll see.
0:59:42 > 0:59:44The answer is Trace Adkins.
0:59:44 > 0:59:48CHEERING
0:59:49 > 0:59:51Thank you Gene.
0:59:51 > 0:59:54Thank you Jeff. Thank you very much.
0:59:54 > 0:59:58This season was really about charity and boy have these guys done a job,
0:59:58 > 0:59:59they really have done something.
0:59:59 > 1:00:02So let's check this out.
1:00:02 > 1:00:04Trace, congratulations.
1:00:07 > 1:00:11The name of my charity is Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network,
1:00:11 > 1:00:12FAN for short.
1:00:12 > 1:00:16We're thankful for this food and this family. Amen.
1:00:16 > 1:00:20The charity actually helps fund research to try and figure out
1:00:20 > 1:00:22what it is that's causing this.
1:00:22 > 1:00:26This charity means so much to my family because my six-year-old
1:00:26 > 1:00:29daughter Brianna has severe food allergies.
1:00:29 > 1:00:32She had a reaction before we came here.
1:00:32 > 1:00:33You had a reaction?
1:00:33 > 1:00:36So many people have the misconception that
1:00:36 > 1:00:39oh, it's an allergy, what happens is
1:00:39 > 1:00:44they swell to the point that their air passage will just be closed off.
1:00:44 > 1:00:46That's where the anaphylactic shock comes in
1:00:46 > 1:00:48and that's how it will kill them.
1:00:50 > 1:00:53- It will take a minute. - When we discovered that
1:00:53 > 1:00:56she had food allergies she was just a baby, six to eight months old.
1:00:56 > 1:01:01It's heartbreaking when Brianna has these episodes.
1:01:01 > 1:01:07There is no greater pain for a parent than to see their child in pain.
1:01:07 > 1:01:09We have to be vigilant.
1:01:09 > 1:01:13This is in case she wants pizza because of the other kids are having pizza.
1:01:13 > 1:01:16When I make her lunch I make sure it's safe.
1:01:16 > 1:01:19Food is everywhere. There is not a minute that goes by
1:01:19 > 1:01:22that you're not wondering is she safe?
1:01:31 > 1:01:35Some of the dangers of sending Brianna to school, just somebody else touching her
1:01:35 > 1:01:39that has peanut butter on her hand, or milk and she has a reaction.
1:01:39 > 1:01:42We have seven minutes before she could be dead.
1:01:42 > 1:01:45- That's very frightening.- Next.
1:01:45 > 1:01:47Spaghetti OK?
1:01:47 > 1:01:53When we decided to send Brianna to school we had to educate everyone she came in contact with.
1:01:53 > 1:01:57We got to eat something good.
1:01:57 > 1:01:59FAN helps were back with cartoon type drawings and stuff
1:01:59 > 1:02:02to let them know what would happen to Brianna.
1:02:02 > 1:02:04It makes you change everything you do.
1:02:04 > 1:02:08- We talked about some things made out of what? Say it out loud.- Wood.
1:02:08 > 1:02:14There are over 12 million Americans that are affected by severe food allergies
1:02:14 > 1:02:16and over three million of those
1:02:16 > 1:02:20are school aged children and those numbers are growing every year.
1:02:20 > 1:02:23It really demands that we do something about it.
1:02:23 > 1:02:28As a parent all my kids keep me grounded but Brianna, she's
1:02:28 > 1:02:31a special kid, she's a sweetheart kid, too, and everybody loves her.
1:02:31 > 1:02:33A lot of people look out for her...
1:02:34 > 1:02:37..and I'm very grateful and thankful for that.
1:02:46 > 1:02:50He's soft-spoken but when he sings he gets everyone's attention.
1:02:50 > 1:02:55He is singing his new number-one single, just went to number one,
1:02:55 > 1:02:57hopefully he'll give me 25 per cent.
1:02:57 > 1:02:59You're Gonna Miss This, Trace Adkins...
1:03:08 > 1:03:14# She was staring out the window of that SUV
1:03:14 > 1:03:18# Complaining, saying I can't wait to turn 18
1:03:20 > 1:03:24# She said I'll make my own money
1:03:24 > 1:03:26# And I'll make my own rules

1:03:33 > 1:03:35# Then she kissed her head
1:03:35 > 1:03:39# And said I was just like you

1:03:48 > 1:03:51# Hadn't gone by so fast
1:03:51 > 1:03:54# These are some good times
1:03:54 > 1:03:57# So take a good look around
1:03:57 > 1:04:02# You may not know it now
1:04:02 > 1:04:05# But you're gonna miss this
1:04:08 > 1:04:13# Before she knows it she's a brand new bride
1:04:13 > 1:04:19# In a one-bedroom apartment and her daddy stops by
1:04:19 > 1:04:23# He tells her it's a nice place
1:04:23 > 1:04:25# She says it'll do for now
1:04:25 > 1:04:31# Starts talking about babies and buying a house
1:04:31 > 1:04:34# Daddy shakes his head
1:04:34 > 1:04:38# And says Baby, just slow down
1:04:38 > 1:04:42# You're gonna miss this
1:04:44 > 1:04:50# Five years later there's a plumber workin' on the water heater
1:04:50 > 1:04:57# Dog's barkin', phone's ringing One kid's crying one kid's screamin'

1:04:59 > 1:05:02# He says they don't bother me
1:05:02 > 1:05:05# I got two babies of my own
1:05:05 > 1:05:10# One's 36, one's 23
1:05:10 > 1:05:13# And it's hard to believe but you're gonna miss this
1:05:15 > 1:05:18# You're gonna want this back
1:05:18 > 1:05:24# You're gonna wish these days Hadn't gone by so fast
1:05:24 > 1:05:27# These are some good times
1:05:27 > 1:05:30# So take a good look around
1:05:30 > 1:05:36# You may not know it now
1:05:36 > 1:05:40# But you're gonna miss this. #
1:05:46 > 1:05:48APPLAUSE
1:05:48 > 1:05:52Piers was criticised heavily and even hated by many for his style of
1:05:52 > 1:05:55play, they think he's a vicious guy, he probably is.
1:05:55 > 1:05:59But he also did a really good job for his charity. Take a look.
1:06:03 > 1:06:07The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund does amazing things
1:06:07 > 1:06:11raising money for severely wounded American servicemen and women.
1:06:11 > 1:06:14They built this incredible centre in San Antonio.
1:06:14 > 1:06:16The Centre for the Intrepid.
1:06:16 > 1:06:23This kind of place reminds everybody of the incredible sacrifice these soldiers made.
1:06:23 > 1:06:26This is our military performance laboratory.
1:06:26 > 1:06:29I spent a few hours walking around the centre with the director.
1:06:29 > 1:06:33This is where occupational therapy takes place.
1:06:33 > 1:06:35You can tell
1:06:35 > 1:06:37from some of the rooms the scale of work that goes on here.
1:06:37 > 1:06:40Prosthetists work directly with the patients.
1:06:40 > 1:06:43They make prosthetics that enable people to run again.
1:06:43 > 1:06:47To run. So this really is like a sort of...
1:06:47 > 1:06:48This is an art.
1:06:48 > 1:06:50- It's a plaster cast.- This is an art.
1:06:50 > 1:06:57I spent most of today meeting some of the more severely wounded patients here who have lost limbs.
1:06:57 > 1:06:58It was incredibly moving.
1:06:58 > 1:07:01When I got hit there was a big puff of smoke.
1:07:01 > 1:07:06You think you can walk it off but not that night, not that day.
1:07:06 > 1:07:11Shane and his friend could have been just two guys down the local bar,
1:07:11 > 1:07:13then you realise Shane has no legs.
1:07:13 > 1:07:16He's a hell of a guy. Just by looking at him now
1:07:16 > 1:07:21and the way he goes through his rehabilitation, it makes me strive even more and I appreciate it.
1:07:21 > 1:07:26- I really do. I love you. - I love you, too.
1:07:31 > 1:07:34The most powerful moment for me of the day was meeting
1:07:34 > 1:07:39Matthew who is 21 years old who had not only suffered a double amputation
1:07:39 > 1:07:42of his legs but also lost his sight.
1:07:42 > 1:07:45- I'd go back if I could.- Why?
1:07:45 > 1:07:47Unfinished business.
1:07:47 > 1:07:52But I like it here. Great people that like to work with you,
1:07:52 > 1:07:53a very fine atmosphere.
1:07:53 > 1:07:56They had more spirit now I suspect than
1:07:56 > 1:07:58before they suffered their injuries.
1:07:58 > 1:08:02A lot of that is down to what happens here at the centre.
1:08:02 > 1:08:07I'd like to give you this coin as a symbol of our appreciation.
1:08:07 > 1:08:09This is the technique.
1:08:09 > 1:08:11I'm very honoured.
1:08:11 > 1:08:12Thank you very much. This means a lot to me.
1:08:12 > 1:08:15No one should forget these soldiers.
1:08:15 > 1:08:18I don't think there is any greater sacrifice
1:08:18 > 1:08:22that anyone can make than to fight for their country's freedom.
1:08:22 > 1:08:25I really believe this is the very least we should be doing.
1:08:25 > 1:08:29CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
1:08:37 > 1:08:39Introduce us to your friends.
1:08:39 > 1:08:41Mr Trump,
1:08:41 > 1:08:45I'd like to introduce you to marine lance-corporal Matthew Bradford.
1:08:45 > 1:08:48Army corporal Shane Parsons.
1:08:48 > 1:08:49Jet Marcus.
1:08:53 > 1:08:56Sergeant Amy Hernandez.
1:08:56 > 1:08:59Staff Sergeant Joseph.
1:09:09 > 1:09:14Now let me ask you, what do you think of the job Piers did?
1:09:15 > 1:09:17Something that needed to be done.
1:09:17 > 1:09:21- Great guy?- I don't know him that well but I think it's something that really needed to be done.
1:09:21 > 1:09:23- Raised a lot of money. - A lot of money.
1:09:23 > 1:09:27I think he done a great job. We stand behind him 100 per cent.
1:09:27 > 1:09:31You guys have really done the great job, that's something.
1:09:31 > 1:09:32I tell you what, I have courage financially
1:09:32 > 1:09:37but I don't have your kind of courage, that I can say, and neither does he, I can tell you that.
1:09:37 > 1:09:40So good luck. And let's hear it for these great people.
1:09:40 > 1:09:42These are great, great people.
1:09:42 > 1:09:45CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
1:10:03 > 1:10:07This season we raised over a million dollars for charity
1:10:07 > 1:10:13and I'm going to throw in another 250,000 for the winner's charity.
1:10:18 > 1:10:21I'm really proud of you two and everybody in the room.
1:10:21 > 1:10:24You've done an amazing job, there are no losers here,
1:10:24 > 1:10:26believe me, there are only winners.
1:10:28 > 1:10:32Let's get down to it. Trace, why should I pick you?
1:10:32 > 1:10:37Well, Mr Trump, nobody supports our military more than I do and I'm so thrilled that Piers has won all that
1:10:37 > 1:10:43money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, I support him wholeheartedly, we all do.
1:10:43 > 1:10:46That's why last year the USO gave me their
1:10:46 > 1:10:52merit award which is the highest honour they can give a civilian, so that's great.
1:10:52 > 1:10:56In contrast to that, we know how serious the issues are that they face and we all feel for them,
1:10:56 > 1:11:00contrast that with the charity I'm here representing,
1:11:00 > 1:11:03the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network,
1:11:03 > 1:11:07- not enough people understand the seriousness and severity... - I think they are both great.
1:11:07 > 1:11:12They are both wonderful but I'm here tonight representing 3 million fathers
1:11:12 > 1:11:15that live in fear every day when they send their children to school
1:11:15 > 1:11:19because they're afraid of they're going to be exposed to something and go into anaphylactic shock.
1:11:19 > 1:11:22I'm here representing those 3 million fathers,
1:11:22 > 1:11:25we want that money because we know what FAN will do with it,
1:11:25 > 1:11:27they will help save our children's lives.
1:11:27 > 1:11:31And nobody wants anything more than we want that.
1:11:31 > 1:11:34I think that's terrific.
1:11:36 > 1:11:38Piers, make your case.
1:11:38 > 1:11:41I don't want to rain on the parade here and I've heard all
1:11:41 > 1:11:43the eulogies to Trace and I agree, he is a good guy.
1:11:43 > 1:11:47If this was a good guy competition to find America's most likeable man,
1:11:47 > 1:11:49he would win immediately.
1:11:49 > 1:11:54But it is a business competition with a premium on raising money for charity.
1:11:54 > 1:11:57Do you think you're more capable than Trace?
1:11:57 > 1:12:01As you know, Mr Trump, business in the end comes down to the bottom line, to numbers.
1:12:01 > 1:12:04I won nine out of the 11 challenges you set me, more than anybody else.
1:12:04 > 1:12:08I raised over half a million dollars, more than every other contestant put together.
1:12:08 > 1:12:11I had, in your words, the biggest slaughter in the history
1:12:11 > 1:12:13of the Apprentice, in one episode.
1:12:13 > 1:12:16- It's true. - I also brought in the biggest and
1:12:16 > 1:12:18the most celebrities.
1:12:18 > 1:12:22So on every single business and charity fundraising checklist
1:12:22 > 1:12:23I killed everyone.
1:12:23 > 1:12:25That's all I have to say.
1:12:29 > 1:12:32- As to the respective merits of the charities...- But you were not loved.
1:12:32 > 1:12:37- Mr Trump, you're not loved. - Is that important to you? - No, it's not. You're not loved.
1:12:37 > 1:12:40Ivanka, let me ask you, what do you think? Any words?
1:12:40 > 1:12:44First of all, I have total respect for both of you and I think you both did a tremendous job.
1:12:44 > 1:12:48What I keep coming back to, Piers, is this would have been a very short
1:12:48 > 1:12:50board room had you had a better a bedside manner.
1:12:50 > 1:12:53You don't know about my bedside manner.
1:12:53 > 1:12:57Touche!
1:12:57 > 1:12:58But you lack...
1:12:58 > 1:13:02right here, that's a great example of the tact that you lack.
1:13:03 > 1:13:05It was funny.
1:13:05 > 1:13:08- The problem is... - Hang on a second, that was a gag.
1:13:08 > 1:13:11- Do you think I produced dummies? - I don't.
1:13:11 > 1:13:14- I think you're just distracted from what we're here for.- Let me explain
1:13:14 > 1:13:19to you where I came from on this - I've heard all this stuff, Trace is great, he is St Trace, right.
1:13:19 > 1:13:23I was like I was to win a game because if I won the game
1:13:23 > 1:13:26I raise money for that charity for those guys.
1:13:26 > 1:13:28They cannot in America right now...
1:13:28 > 1:13:32Do you think you would have raised less money though, had you been more polite?
1:13:32 > 1:13:35There cannot be a more important charity to work for.
1:13:35 > 1:13:38When these guys go to battle, they fight to the finish.
1:13:38 > 1:13:42- When I played this business game... - Do you think you charity is more important than Trace's charity?
1:13:42 > 1:13:43No, I would never say that.
1:13:43 > 1:13:50I just happen to think that right now I gave everything, every challenge and my motivation for it to raise
1:13:50 > 1:13:53large sums of money was to support these guys
1:13:53 > 1:13:55and give them a second chance.
1:13:55 > 1:14:00I'm absolutely standing by every single thing I did. I believe I have integrity.
1:14:00 > 1:14:02I don't like my integrity being called into question.
1:14:02 > 1:14:06Do you have a final statement?
1:14:06 > 1:14:09A decisive guy but I don't envy your opposition tonight because Trace is
1:14:09 > 1:14:12the most likeable guy perhaps I've met throughout all the Apprentices.
1:14:12 > 1:14:16At the same time, you cannot discount Piers' effectiveness.
1:14:16 > 1:14:20The one question I really have comes down to the use of the role of decks.
1:14:20 > 1:14:24You have an incredibly deep role of decks and you definitely have skills beyond that
1:14:24 > 1:14:29but could Trace ever match just the sheer numbers you were able to raise because of the lack of roller decks?
1:14:29 > 1:14:33Hang on. We have one minute left, you can't hang on.
1:14:33 > 1:14:36- Can I respond to that?- You can't.
1:14:36 > 1:14:38- OK.- Piers, you're a vicious guy,
1:14:38 > 1:14:43I've seen it, we can try and dispute it, you can try and dispute it.
1:14:43 > 1:14:47You're tough, smart, probably brilliant, I'm not sure.
1:14:47 > 1:14:51You're certainly not diplomatic but you did an amazing job and you
1:14:51 > 1:14:55beat the hell out of everybody and you won by far more than anybody.
1:14:55 > 1:14:59Trace, you ended up with a number one single, you ended up great,
1:14:59 > 1:15:01you have an amazing family,
1:15:01 > 1:15:08beautiful children, you really are a special guy, a special human being, a beautiful guy.
1:15:08 > 1:15:10I'll always love you.
1:15:10 > 1:15:13But for tonight, Piers, you're the Celebrity Apprentice.
1:15:13 > 1:15:17APPLAUSE AND CHEERING
1:15:39 > 1:15:40It's been a really great season.
1:15:40 > 1:15:45We'll see you next year, we're going to be around for a long time!
