0:04:16 > 0:04:20- You're welcome.- Good to be here. Joan of Arc, good Lord.

0:04:20 > 0:04:22Gemma Arterton and of course Joseph's here. Your first time?

0:04:22 > 0:04:24Yes, sir. Glad to be here.

0:04:24 > 0:04:26But, already, I think the best entrance we've ever had.

0:04:26 > 0:04:28I'm glad to hear that. Hey.

0:04:28 > 0:04:30CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:04:30 > 0:04:32That's... I mean, you've peaked.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35There isn't an anecdote you can tell that will beat that forward roll.

0:04:35 > 0:04:38You have nightmares every time you come on a show like this.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41"I just hope I don't trip when I'm coming out."

0:04:41 > 0:04:43Then I tripped when I was coming out.

0:04:43 > 0:04:45- You didn't do it on purpose? - No, no. Not at all.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47That's when you should have said, "Yeah, yeah."

0:04:47 > 0:04:49Oh, yeah, right. So I could set it up later.

0:04:49 > 0:04:52- No, I think it was new shoes, that was new shoes.- These, you mean?

0:04:54 > 0:04:57Whoa! Turn down those socks, man.

0:04:57 > 0:04:59LAUGHTER

0:04:59 > 0:05:01- Wow, look at this.- Sorry.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03You're a rebel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

0:05:06 > 0:05:08This couch is interesting tonight.

0:05:08 > 0:05:10Because everyone is playing real people,

0:05:10 > 0:05:15either from history or from the headlines, in films and the play.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17But before we get talking about all those things,

0:05:17 > 0:05:20we need to settle a little controversy. A little controversy.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23There was a picture, you have probably seen this,

0:05:23 > 0:05:25it was on the internet and in the papers and things.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27And it's this picture here.

0:05:27 > 0:05:29- Now...- Oh, yeah.

0:05:29 > 0:05:32LAUGHTER So, people are trying to decide

0:05:32 > 0:05:36- if that was Bill Murray or Tom Hanks.- Right, right.

0:05:36 > 0:05:40Well, I've been doing a pale imitation of Bill Murray for most of my career.

0:05:40 > 0:05:42So it actually works out.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45I know that it's not me because I did not take that picture.

0:05:47 > 0:05:51Unless I've had a cranial plate shift that, you know, is medicinal.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53That's not me. I believe that's Bill.

0:05:53 > 0:05:56- Even looking at you now, it does look a little like you.- Yeah.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58I can make that face.

0:05:58 > 0:06:02But don't you have a thing where you have, you think you've got sides.

0:06:02 > 0:06:06Oh, I do. We all know what our good side is.

0:06:06 > 0:06:08I'll show you, if you can come close

0:06:08 > 0:06:10in a hideously embarrassing close-up.

0:06:10 > 0:06:11Right, I will show you right now.

0:06:11 > 0:06:14- Should I start with the good side or the bad side?- Good side.- Really?

0:06:14 > 0:06:17- Yeah.- OK. This is my good side.

0:06:17 > 0:06:19Now, I don't know why.

0:06:19 > 0:06:22But I have a jaw and I have a chin and, you know,

0:06:22 > 0:06:24I have a back of a...

0:06:24 > 0:06:26Actually, could you come around sort of like

0:06:26 > 0:06:27three quarter-ish a little bit?

0:06:27 > 0:06:30OK, there. OK, there, there. Is that it?

0:06:30 > 0:06:32Come in a little tighter, please. A little tighter.

0:06:32 > 0:06:35All right, so far we're still doing OK. It's all right.

0:06:35 > 0:06:39It's not bad. All right, now. Stay there and just watch this.

0:06:42 > 0:06:46LAUGHTER STARTS SLOWLY AND BUILDS

0:06:46 > 0:06:47Oh, dear. Look at that!

0:06:47 > 0:06:49The neck goes away.

0:06:50 > 0:06:52The nose becomes this malformed thing.

0:06:52 > 0:06:55I've got half a cheek sticking out right here.

0:06:55 > 0:06:58So I kind of go from like Richard Gere...

0:06:58 > 0:07:00to Richard Nixon.

0:07:00 > 0:07:03LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE

0:07:07 > 0:07:08Gemma, can we have your side?

0:07:10 > 0:07:11Er...

0:07:13 > 0:07:16But when you do a photo shoot, do you favour a side?

0:07:16 > 0:07:20I... I think this is my better side.

0:07:20 > 0:07:22- But then... - Then we can never work together.

0:07:22 > 0:07:24LAUGHTER

0:07:24 > 0:07:26Guess we'd have to do all of our love scenes like...

0:07:26 > 0:07:30"I love you, Gemma, I love you. We must leave..."

0:07:30 > 0:07:31We can never do this.

0:07:32 > 0:07:35That's like Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell.

0:07:35 > 0:07:39- And what about yourself, Joseph? Are you aware of a side?- Should I be?

0:07:39 > 0:07:41- No, I don't know.- Tell me. I'm willing to learn.

0:07:41 > 0:07:43Shall we vote?

0:07:43 > 0:07:45- Let's vote.- OK.

0:07:46 > 0:07:47- By applause only.- OK.

0:07:47 > 0:07:49- All right.- This side.

0:07:50 > 0:07:51MODERATE APPLAUSE

0:07:51 > 0:07:53Liking it, liking it.

0:07:55 > 0:07:57Or...

0:07:57 > 0:07:59RAUCOUS APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:08:00 > 0:08:02OK, so this side.

0:08:02 > 0:08:07We just thought while you're here, to settle things, to avoid confusion

0:08:07 > 0:08:10in the future, we might re-enact that...

0:08:10 > 0:08:13Oh, do you have an orange jumper?

0:08:13 > 0:08:17- I do, I do. I am fully costumed. - Oh, great.

0:08:17 > 0:08:18I've got some orange things there.

0:08:18 > 0:08:21Now, Gemma, would you mind being...

0:08:21 > 0:08:24I think she's the mother of the baby.

0:08:24 > 0:08:26So there's some sunglasses there.

0:08:26 > 0:08:29And would you mind being the baby?

0:08:29 > 0:08:32- LAUGHTER - Absolutely.

0:08:32 > 0:08:34Oh, you can do that. Actually, that's better.

0:08:34 > 0:08:36Why did we not think of that?

0:08:36 > 0:08:38- Oh, OK, so I'm like here? - You're down in there.

0:08:38 > 0:08:40Down you go. There you go. LAUGHTER

0:08:40 > 0:08:43- You squeeze in, squeeze in. - Like that?

0:08:43 > 0:08:45Like that, smiling.

0:08:45 > 0:08:48LAUGHTER There we go, that is really good!

0:08:49 > 0:08:51CHEERING AND APPLAUSE It is good.

0:08:54 > 0:08:59I think Joseph did the most perfect imitation right there.

0:09:01 > 0:09:02That is an instant study.

0:09:02 > 0:09:04You can keep them if you want.

0:09:10 > 0:09:12Isn't life weird? I never thought I'd be doing this.

0:09:12 > 0:09:15That's some three very good actors there.

0:09:15 > 0:09:17Hey, let's get on to your real jobs.

0:09:17 > 0:09:19Tom's new movie -

0:09:19 > 0:09:20this is the much anticipated Sully.

0:09:20 > 0:09:22I remember the last time you mentioned it,

0:09:22 > 0:09:24you mentioned what this movie was about

0:09:24 > 0:09:26and the whole audience was like, "Ooh, that sounds good."

0:09:26 > 0:09:30Cos it opens here next Friday, the 2nd of December.

0:09:31 > 0:09:35It's such a great movie because some of the inherent drama we know,

0:09:35 > 0:09:39- or we think we know.- Yeah, yeah. That is...

0:09:39 > 0:09:41We all know Act One.

0:09:41 > 0:09:45Hero by pluck and grit lands a plane in the Hudson River,

0:09:45 > 0:09:47becomes the hero of the Hudson.

0:09:47 > 0:09:51And everybody on board survived, every single person.

0:09:51 > 0:09:52I mean, it was a miracle.

0:09:52 > 0:09:54Little babies, ladies who couldn't walk, everybody survived.

0:09:54 > 0:09:56It was a miracle.

0:09:56 > 0:09:58And if you go on YouTube and look at forced water landings,

0:09:58 > 0:10:01you can see what could have happened instead.

0:10:01 > 0:10:03And also didn't realise, I didn't remember, it was really,

0:10:03 > 0:10:08- really cold.- It was January, yes. - So people were in freezing water.

0:10:08 > 0:10:11The extraordinary story is - you see the tug boats,

0:10:11 > 0:10:14the police, those folk dropped everything they were doing

0:10:14 > 0:10:15and went right there.

0:10:15 > 0:10:18I spoke to one guy, I said, "How long were you out on the wing?"

0:10:18 > 0:10:19He said, "If you had have asked me,

0:10:19 > 0:10:21"I would have told you I was there for an hour."

0:10:21 > 0:10:23He went back and looked at the actual footage.

0:10:23 > 0:10:25He was on the wing for seven minutes.

0:10:25 > 0:10:28From landing in the water to rescue - seven minutes.

0:10:28 > 0:10:30- That's incredible. - An extraordinary thing.

0:10:30 > 0:10:32And then everything that happens after the movie

0:10:32 > 0:10:35is Act Two and Three of real life.

0:10:35 > 0:10:37He withstood - it's condensed for the film -

0:10:37 > 0:10:41but he withstood 18 months of depositions and investigation.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43He had to answer complicated questions,

0:10:43 > 0:10:46and very common questions, over and over, over and over and over again.

0:10:46 > 0:10:48"Why did you do that? "Why didn't you try this?

0:10:48 > 0:10:50"What did you have to eat the night before?

0:10:50 > 0:10:52"Did you have a fight with your wife on the phone?

0:10:52 > 0:10:53"Were you stressed in any way?

0:10:53 > 0:10:55"Why didn't you turn this switch instead of that switch?"

0:10:55 > 0:10:58And he had to answer for himself, to the point that he didn't -

0:10:58 > 0:11:00both he and Jeff Skiles, played by Aaron Eckhart,

0:11:00 > 0:11:02the fabulous actor Aaron Eckhart -

0:11:02 > 0:11:04had no idea for a year and a half whether or not they were

0:11:04 > 0:11:07going to keep their jobs, whether or not they would not be able to fly

0:11:07 > 0:11:09for a living and whether or not

0:11:09 > 0:11:11their reputations would be in tatters.

0:11:11 > 0:11:13And the real man, Sully, he was around the filming?

0:11:13 > 0:11:15- You've met him?- Oh...

0:11:15 > 0:11:19The real Sully is the most... There he is.

0:11:19 > 0:11:20His real first name is Chesley.

0:11:21 > 0:11:26Which sounds like a small town off the M1. You know?

0:11:26 > 0:11:29Up near Whipsnade Zoo. "Hey, let's go to Chesley today."

0:11:31 > 0:11:32So he goes by Sully.

0:11:32 > 0:11:37He was very particular about how we portrayed the procedure

0:11:37 > 0:11:39and the emotions of what the movie was.

0:11:39 > 0:11:40Listen, we've got a clip...

0:11:40 > 0:11:41Oh, let's watch the clip.

0:11:43 > 0:11:45LAUGHTER

0:11:45 > 0:11:48This is the moment when you, as Sully,

0:11:48 > 0:11:52make the decision about what you're going to do.

0:11:52 > 0:11:53Mayday, Mayday. This is Cactus 1549.

0:11:53 > 0:11:55We've lost thrust on both engines,

0:11:55 > 0:11:57we are turning back towards LaGuardia.

0:11:57 > 0:12:00- 'Which engine did you lose?' - Both. Both engines.

0:12:04 > 0:12:07- Ignition.- Ignition.- Thrust levers confirmed idle.- Idle.

0:12:08 > 0:12:10'Cactus, 1549.

0:12:10 > 0:12:14'If we can get a view, do you want to try to land runway 13?'

0:12:14 > 0:12:16We are unable. We may end up in the Hudson.

0:12:17 > 0:12:20'It's going to be left traffic, runway 31.'

0:12:20 > 0:12:22- Unable.- 'OK. What do you need to land?'

0:12:22 > 0:12:25BEEPING

0:12:29 > 0:12:34- No relay after 30 seconds. Master one and two confirmed off.- Off.

0:12:34 > 0:12:37- RECORDING:- Too low. Terrain. Too low. Terrain.

0:12:37 > 0:12:38Too low. Terrain.

0:12:44 > 0:12:45This is the captain.

0:12:45 > 0:12:47Brace for impact.

0:12:47 > 0:12:48Now you know...

0:12:48 > 0:12:50APPLAUSE

0:12:52 > 0:12:54Because this, this...

0:12:54 > 0:12:57This is who the man is. This is who the man is.

0:12:57 > 0:13:01He said brace for impact for a very specific reason.

0:13:01 > 0:13:05"Brace for impact" is essentially saying, "Get ready for a bump.

0:13:05 > 0:13:07"Be prepared, we're going to have some..."

0:13:07 > 0:13:09He did not say, "This is the captain.

0:13:09 > 0:13:11"We're going to land in the Hudson River.

0:13:11 > 0:13:12"It's going to be very cold..."

0:13:12 > 0:13:15He didn't give them instructions about what was going to happen,

0:13:15 > 0:13:18because he wanted to keep the panic down to an absolute minimum.

0:13:18 > 0:13:21"Brace for impact, lean forward, do what you're told."

0:13:21 > 0:13:22"Get ready for a water landing,"

0:13:22 > 0:13:26means who knows what to 150 people in a plane.

0:13:26 > 0:13:29"Brace for impact" is still quite bowel loosening, I'd have thought.

0:13:29 > 0:13:31LAUGHTER

0:13:32 > 0:13:34I mean, it was nice of him but...

0:13:34 > 0:13:36LAUGHTER

0:13:37 > 0:13:39I'm going to bring this up with him.

0:13:39 > 0:13:42- Has this made you a more nervous flyer?- Not at all, no.

0:13:42 > 0:13:46I like adventure in the air, I like it to bump around up there.

0:13:46 > 0:13:48You ever do this?

0:13:48 > 0:13:51You ever just try not to buckle your seatbelt when they're walking round?

0:13:51 > 0:13:53LAUGHTER

0:13:55 > 0:13:59Just hold your hands over it and just not really...

0:13:59 > 0:14:01just to see if they're going to check you or not?

0:14:04 > 0:14:07Oh... That will do it. I like adventure.

0:14:07 > 0:14:08Are you a good flyer, Gemma?

0:14:08 > 0:14:11I think I'm a pretty good flyer.

0:14:11 > 0:14:12I too quite enjoy a bump. Yeah, yeah.

0:14:12 > 0:14:16But I've never... I've been lucky not to have been in anything too drastic.

0:14:16 > 0:14:18- You?- I don't want a bump.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21- LAUGHTER - I keep my seatbelt on.

0:14:21 > 0:14:23I don't want any bumps.

0:14:23 > 0:14:24Presumably, this is one of those films,

0:14:24 > 0:14:27they're never going to show this on a plane, are they?

0:14:27 > 0:14:29LAUGHTER

0:14:30 > 0:14:32No, you know... Would you imagine it -

0:14:32 > 0:14:35"Ladies and gentlemen, the in-flight entertainment..."

0:14:35 > 0:14:36LAUGHTER

0:14:38 > 0:14:40"..is Sully." Whoa.

0:14:40 > 0:14:44- I've seen Castaway on a plane. - Really?!

0:14:44 > 0:14:47- Best plane crash in movie history. - They showed that on a plane, really?

0:14:47 > 0:14:49No, I just made it up.

0:14:49 > 0:14:50- Oh, right. - LAUGHTER

0:14:50 > 0:14:53Do they do something, they have a little disclaimer

0:14:53 > 0:14:55at the beginning and go, yeah, "This contains footage..."

0:14:55 > 0:14:57"This will not happen to you."

0:14:57 > 0:14:59LAUGHTER

0:15:01 > 0:15:02Now, the thing about you, Tom Hanks,

0:15:02 > 0:15:04because when we talk to you about films,

0:15:04 > 0:15:06we always imagine that any director, you're in the film,

0:15:06 > 0:15:10- they'll be quite intimidated by having you.- Gee, I wish!

0:15:10 > 0:15:14- But this time the director's Clint Eastwood.- Oh, dear.

0:15:14 > 0:15:16So how did that dynamic pan out?

0:15:16 > 0:15:19Well, you don't want to get one of those Clint Eastwood looks

0:15:19 > 0:15:21from him, you know? You know?

0:15:21 > 0:15:25I can't do it. But, you know, where he kind of just raises...

0:15:25 > 0:15:28- He looks at you. - WHISTLES SPAGHETTI WESTERN THEME

0:15:28 > 0:15:29You go, "Clint, I have this idea.

0:15:29 > 0:15:33"Maybe for the scene if I do that and then throw that over to Aaron and then you can cut."

0:15:33 > 0:15:35He's like...

0:15:35 > 0:15:37LAUGHTER

0:15:37 > 0:15:38Yeah. I wanted...

0:15:38 > 0:15:42There was a guy playing a saxophone in Times Square.

0:15:42 > 0:15:43We were done with the shot.

0:15:43 > 0:15:46I said, "Go over there and give that guy 50 bucks,"

0:15:46 > 0:15:49just let loose with some of those "ohh-ee-ohh-ee-ohh..."

0:15:50 > 0:15:54But he... He treats his actors like horses.

0:15:54 > 0:15:56- Um... - LAUGHTER

0:15:58 > 0:16:00Because, because, when he was doing...

0:16:00 > 0:16:01There's a great show, Rawhide.

0:16:01 > 0:16:05I don't know if you're old enough to remember Rawhide - a Western.

0:16:05 > 0:16:09And he had all these old directors there who directed movies

0:16:09 > 0:16:12that made a big deal about yelling "action."

0:16:12 > 0:16:16"We're rolling, all right, standby. This is a take, everybody ready.

0:16:16 > 0:16:19"3-2-1, action."

0:16:19 > 0:16:23And every time they would do that, the horses they were on would bolt.

0:16:23 > 0:16:26"Action!" And they'd have to go like...

0:16:26 > 0:16:28So when you're in a Clint Eastwood movie,

0:16:28 > 0:16:31you don't even know the camera's rolling and you just hear

0:16:31 > 0:16:33over your shoulder...

0:16:35 > 0:16:37- MIMICS EASTWOOD: - All right, go ahead.

0:16:43 > 0:16:45APPLAUSE

0:16:45 > 0:16:47You know...

0:16:47 > 0:16:51Sometimes you're doing some pretty hard stuff and you just

0:16:51 > 0:16:53keep doing it until you hear him say...

0:16:53 > 0:16:56- AS EASTWOOD: - "That's enough of that."

0:16:56 > 0:16:59And then you move on and you're on to the next set-up.

0:16:59 > 0:17:00It's intimidating as hell.

0:17:00 > 0:17:04- Wait, is it that every time, "That's enough of that"?- Yeah.- Every time?

0:17:04 > 0:17:06- Instead of cut. - He doesn't say...

0:17:06 > 0:17:10No, he'll stay stop if it means you're going to do it again.

0:17:10 > 0:17:13- But it's mostly... - AS EASTWOOD:- That's enough of that.

0:17:14 > 0:17:17You go, "Hey, thanks for the vote of confidence(!)"

0:17:17 > 0:17:21- LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE - Please stop.

0:17:23 > 0:17:27Right, now also playing a heroic role is Gemma Arterton.

0:17:27 > 0:17:30Because she is Joan of Arc in Saint Joan,

0:17:30 > 0:17:33at the Donmar Warehouse from the 9th of December

0:17:33 > 0:17:35till the 18th of February.

0:17:35 > 0:17:38But you are doing one of those beamed into cinemas

0:17:38 > 0:17:41- all over the world on the 16th of February?- Yes, we are.

0:17:41 > 0:17:43Pop that into your diaries now. Plan ahead.

0:17:43 > 0:17:46Now, George Bernard Shaw, he wrote the play in the 1920s.

0:17:46 > 0:17:50- Now, this version is very different, I'm told.- Yeah.

0:17:50 > 0:17:53I don't want to say too much about it, but...

0:17:53 > 0:17:55- OK, we'll move on.- No, no, no!

0:17:57 > 0:18:00But I think post-Brexit and post Trump,

0:18:00 > 0:18:02I think it's quite interesting.

0:18:02 > 0:18:04Wait, Trump? What?

0:18:05 > 0:18:07He won?!

0:18:07 > 0:18:09You're on your press tour, you get home - what?!

0:18:10 > 0:18:14But, I mean, you can tell us that it's kind of set now.

0:18:14 > 0:18:19Yeah, it's sort of like as if a medieval saint walked into Deutsche Bank.

0:18:19 > 0:18:23Oh, OK. That sounds good. I'm liking it already.

0:18:23 > 0:18:27And in the original play, I think I'm right, that you don't,

0:18:27 > 0:18:30obviously cos it's quite difficult to get through the actresses,

0:18:30 > 0:18:33but you don't burn at the stake every night?

0:18:33 > 0:18:34They stop just before that.

0:18:34 > 0:18:37But are you going to try and do a bit of burning at the stake?

0:18:37 > 0:18:38We don't know yet.

0:18:38 > 0:18:40We're only midway through rehearsals,

0:18:40 > 0:18:42so it's still up for grabs.

0:18:42 > 0:18:46- I kind of hope not. Because... - Yeah.

0:18:46 > 0:18:50Because usually that's when you go off and you have a glass of wine.

0:18:50 > 0:18:52But, yeah, no, I don't know. We'll see.

0:18:52 > 0:18:55You have to come and see it and then you can find out.

0:18:55 > 0:18:58Or we'll just see the Donmar's now in ashes and we'll go,

0:18:58 > 0:19:00"I guess they went with the fire idea."

0:19:00 > 0:19:01LAUGHTER

0:19:01 > 0:19:02Fire?

0:19:04 > 0:19:06But, I have to say, you could be burnt at the stake.

0:19:06 > 0:19:10Because you rarely live through anything.

0:19:10 > 0:19:12What do you mean?

0:19:12 > 0:19:15Well, drowned in oil in Bond, killed by vampires in Byzantium.

0:19:15 > 0:19:16Head cut off in The Voices.

0:19:16 > 0:19:18Stabbed in the back - Clash of the Titans,

0:19:18 > 0:19:20fell into a chasm in Prince of Persia

0:19:20 > 0:19:21and possibly worst of all,

0:19:21 > 0:19:25chokes to death on a piece of bread in Gemma Bovery.

0:19:25 > 0:19:28- Yes.- Have you ever lived throughout an entire film?

0:19:28 > 0:19:32There was a period of time where I died every time.

0:19:32 > 0:19:36I think it's this tragic heroine thing, isn't it?

0:19:36 > 0:19:39But I have also been resurrected twice.

0:19:39 > 0:19:40And this will be the third time,

0:19:40 > 0:19:42because I'm resurrected in Saint Joan.

0:19:44 > 0:19:46Spoiler alert(!)

0:19:46 > 0:19:49LAUGHTER

0:19:49 > 0:19:50I just saved 20 quid.

0:19:54 > 0:20:00And, obviously she's a French heroine. But it's set in England.

0:20:00 > 0:20:01Yeah.

0:20:01 > 0:20:03- Cos, do you live in France now? - No.

0:20:03 > 0:20:08I live in London, but I work there a lot so I'm often there.

0:20:08 > 0:20:09Because your French is...

0:20:09 > 0:20:11You have spoken French in films.

0:20:11 > 0:20:12- I mean, you've...- Yeah.

0:20:12 > 0:20:14Which suggests your French is very good, I would say.

0:20:14 > 0:20:15C'est pas mal.

0:20:15 > 0:20:18J'ai entendu que vous parlez francais aussi?

0:20:18 > 0:20:20Moi je parle un peu de francais, oui.

0:20:20 > 0:20:21Ah, c'est impressionant!

0:20:21 > 0:20:23AUDIENE: Ooh

0:20:23 > 0:20:24Merci.

0:20:26 > 0:20:29Mais c'est bien quand une femme parle francais, je crois.

0:20:29 > 0:20:31- C'est feminin.- D'accord.

0:20:31 > 0:20:34Nigel Farage's just thrown his television at the window.

0:20:34 > 0:20:36LAUGHTER

0:20:36 > 0:20:38I know who that is!

0:20:38 > 0:20:40APPLAUSE

0:20:42 > 0:20:43Do you speak other languages?

0:20:43 > 0:20:45- Me, no.- Have you ever tried?

0:20:45 > 0:20:48No. I now, you know, swear words in a few languages.

0:20:50 > 0:20:51Can insult people in Greek.

0:20:53 > 0:20:56Oh, they like it. Insult us.

0:20:56 > 0:21:00You travel a lot and I read somewhere where you have

0:21:00 > 0:21:06- packing down. That is a fine art in the Hanks' household.- Oh, yeah.

0:21:06 > 0:21:09Well, often for work, you're going to be gone for a long time,

0:21:09 > 0:21:12so you've got a number of bags you've got to have at the ready.

0:21:12 > 0:21:15So, yeah, my routine is pretty simple.

0:21:15 > 0:21:20I strip down completely naked and give myself two hours.

0:21:20 > 0:21:21- So I... - LAUGHTER

0:21:25 > 0:21:28- That's my routine for something else. - LAUGHTER

0:21:28 > 0:21:30- Two hours?- Oh, yeah.

0:21:30 > 0:21:33APPLAUSE

0:21:34 > 0:21:37Yeah, you got to put, you know, you may be wearing underwear,

0:21:37 > 0:21:38you're going to need...

0:21:38 > 0:21:43So, you know, you start with a blank canvas and build-up.

0:21:43 > 0:21:45The dog, I have a dog that worships me.

0:21:45 > 0:21:47The dog is often confused by those two hours.

0:21:51 > 0:21:53Are we going for a walk?

0:21:53 > 0:21:55LAUGHTER

0:21:55 > 0:21:59You have some ideas that I am not familiar with.

0:21:59 > 0:22:03Listen, we're going to talk about another movie tonight

0:22:03 > 0:22:04and its Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Snowden,

0:22:04 > 0:22:07which is another fascinating portrayal

0:22:07 > 0:22:08of a real figure from recent years.

0:22:08 > 0:22:12- It's out on December 9th. It is.- It is.

0:22:12 > 0:22:14Now, he's not Julian Assange. He's the other one.

0:22:14 > 0:22:16That's... Yeah, well that's true.

0:22:16 > 0:22:20And I'll admit, I confused the two before really looking into it.

0:22:20 > 0:22:24They're easy to confuse. Yeah, Julian Assange runs WikiLeaks.

0:22:24 > 0:22:25Edward Snowden is someone else.

0:22:25 > 0:22:31He worked at the NSA and the CIA. Sort of like GCHQ here, I suppose.

0:22:32 > 0:22:35And he took classified information and he handed it over

0:22:35 > 0:22:37to journalists at the Guardian, actually.

0:22:38 > 0:22:42And that information revealed that the government was conducting

0:22:42 > 0:22:47illegal and, you know arguably unethical mass surveillance,

0:22:47 > 0:22:50that goes against the constitution of the United States.

0:22:50 > 0:22:53Because he has been kind of really demonised.

0:22:53 > 0:22:56- But he was sort of trying to protect people's rights?- Yeah.

0:22:56 > 0:22:59I mean, look, I understand why people call him a criminal.

0:22:59 > 0:23:01That's because he committed a crime, you know.

0:23:01 > 0:23:04When he took that classified information, he broke the law,

0:23:04 > 0:23:06so it's understandable why people would be upset with him.

0:23:06 > 0:23:10This thing is is that the NSA - and, by the way, GCHQ -

0:23:10 > 0:23:12they are also committing crimes

0:23:12 > 0:23:15and they are violating freedoms that are enshrined in our Bill of Rights.

0:23:15 > 0:23:18You know, we have the freedom to have the right to privacy

0:23:18 > 0:23:21and the government's not allowed to invade our privacy without a warrant.

0:23:21 > 0:23:24But what these agencies are doing is just collecting everybody's

0:23:24 > 0:23:27information, through our phones and computers, without warrants.

0:23:27 > 0:23:29- You know?- Because the webcam thing is terrifying.

0:23:29 > 0:23:31They can turn on your webcam, they can turn on the microphone

0:23:31 > 0:23:34on your phone, they can turn on the camera in your phone. Yeah.

0:23:34 > 0:23:36- GEMMA GASPS Gemma?- Hmm.- Jeez.

0:23:36 > 0:23:37LAUGHTER

0:23:37 > 0:23:41That was a funny noise you just made.

0:23:41 > 0:23:42LAUGHTER

0:23:42 > 0:23:44Where's your phone?

0:23:45 > 0:23:47Where is my phone?

0:23:47 > 0:23:49Listen, we've got a clip.

0:23:49 > 0:23:51This is when, you - as Snowden -

0:23:51 > 0:23:55realises the full spying capabilities of the NSA.

0:23:55 > 0:24:00Exhibit A. Oakland resident Justin Pinski posted on a message board.

0:24:00 > 0:24:02"Romania has a storied history of executing their leaders.

0:24:02 > 0:24:05"Couldn't they do us a solid and take out Bush?"

0:24:06 > 0:24:09Oh, this looks juicy. This is from a G-chat.

0:24:11 > 0:24:13"With the biggest python you've ever seen."

0:24:16 > 0:24:19How is all this possible?

0:24:19 > 0:24:23Keyword selectors - "attack", "take out bush".

0:24:23 > 0:24:25So think of it as a Google search,

0:24:25 > 0:24:30except instead of searching only what people make public, we're also looking at everything they don't.

0:24:30 > 0:24:34- So, e-mails, chats, SMS, whatever. - Yeah, but which people?

0:24:34 > 0:24:36The whole kingdom, Snow White.

0:24:39 > 0:24:40APPLAUSE

0:24:42 > 0:24:43Scary.

0:24:45 > 0:24:48Edward Snowden, he's in Moscow.

0:24:48 > 0:24:49He's in exile in Moscow.

0:24:49 > 0:24:53- But you got to spend time with him? - I did, yeah.

0:24:53 > 0:24:56Before we shot, I went over to Moscow and I sat with him

0:24:56 > 0:24:58in an office for about four hours.

0:24:58 > 0:25:00I mean, you know,

0:25:00 > 0:25:03there's other places in the world where you can't, you can't

0:25:03 > 0:25:06stand up and say, "Hey, I think the government's doing something wrong."

0:25:06 > 0:25:10We're really lucky to get to live in countries where we can have these

0:25:10 > 0:25:13kind of conversations, especially here on TV, I'm really grateful.

0:25:13 > 0:25:15So I'm happy that he did what he did,

0:25:15 > 0:25:18just so that we can all be having this conversation right now.

0:25:18 > 0:25:20And, of course, I mean... APPLAUSE

0:25:20 > 0:25:21Yes.

0:25:26 > 0:25:29Obviously, other people are affected.

0:25:29 > 0:25:32And I... I read, I think it was an interview that you gave,

0:25:32 > 0:25:34where you talked about meeting his parents.

0:25:34 > 0:25:37Yeah. Yeah, yeah. His parents came to the premiere.

0:25:37 > 0:25:41And this is the thing about when you play a real-life person.

0:25:41 > 0:25:45I don't suppose you can meet Joan of Arc's parents.

0:25:45 > 0:25:48But, you know, you get certain feedback when you're an actor,

0:25:48 > 0:25:49and that's meaningful.

0:25:49 > 0:25:52It's meaningful when an audience likes the movie or, you know,

0:25:52 > 0:25:55it gets good reviews or maybe it gets good box office or whatever.

0:25:55 > 0:25:57And that's all great.

0:25:57 > 0:25:59But when the parents of this guy,

0:25:59 > 0:26:02who stood up for what he believed in

0:26:02 > 0:26:05and is now living in exile, he can't come home.

0:26:05 > 0:26:10His mom took me aside and was like, "You reminded me of my son."

0:26:10 > 0:26:13And his dad took me aside and he make sure to look me in the eye

0:26:13 > 0:26:16and he said, "I want to thank you for what you did because I know

0:26:16 > 0:26:19"this was risky for you and you're going to," you know,

0:26:19 > 0:26:21"some people aren't going to like you for it.

0:26:21 > 0:26:24"But I really appreciate you doing this for my son."

0:26:24 > 0:26:27And, I mean, I've never received feedback like that

0:26:27 > 0:26:29for an acting job that I did.

0:26:29 > 0:26:31It really means something?

0:26:31 > 0:26:32It meant so much to me.

0:26:32 > 0:26:36I mean, it really made my year to have those moments with his parents.

0:26:36 > 0:26:39And isn't there some hope that Obama might,

0:26:39 > 0:26:42one of the last things he does, might be to pardon him?

0:26:42 > 0:26:43I mean, yeah.

0:26:43 > 0:26:46There's a lot of important and influential human rights groups

0:26:46 > 0:26:48like Amnesty International and the ACLU

0:26:48 > 0:26:52that have appealed to President Obama to pardon Edward Snowden,

0:26:52 > 0:26:54because, you know, ultimately what he did was

0:26:54 > 0:26:57a great service to the country and to the world.

0:26:57 > 0:27:02- You know, whether Obama will do that or not remains to be seen.- Yeah.

0:27:02 > 0:27:06Obviously one of the last things Obama will have done in office

0:27:06 > 0:27:10is to give Mr Tom Hanks the highest civilian honour in America,

0:27:10 > 0:27:12- the Medal of Freedom.- Oh, yeah.

0:27:12 > 0:27:14Really? That's so cool, man.

0:27:14 > 0:27:16CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:27:16 > 0:27:18Congratulations.

0:27:18 > 0:27:19Did you meet him?

0:27:19 > 0:27:21- The man himself?- Obama, yeah?

0:27:21 > 0:27:23- Oh, yeah, I've met him a couple of times.- You have?

0:27:23 > 0:27:26- He's the coolest dude in the room. - I don't doubt it.

0:27:26 > 0:27:29- I would really like to meet him. - He is so much the man, it's crazy.

0:27:29 > 0:27:30And it's one of those things,

0:27:30 > 0:27:33cos you have had so many awards, what does that mean?

0:27:33 > 0:27:35It's mind-numbing, you know.

0:27:36 > 0:27:39It's the Medal of Freedom, which means somehow...

0:27:39 > 0:27:43It's funny talking about Edward Snowden,

0:27:43 > 0:27:44there is this...

0:27:44 > 0:27:48We have something which is the freedom that you're talking about.

0:27:48 > 0:27:50I guess it's a look at the work

0:27:50 > 0:27:55that I've done that has both celebrated it and promoted it

0:27:55 > 0:27:57and tried to protect it as well.

0:27:57 > 0:28:00Look, I'm with Admiral Grace Potter,

0:28:00 > 0:28:05the scientist who literally measured out the nanosecond.

0:28:05 > 0:28:09Her, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, me. It's a pretty good spread.

0:28:09 > 0:28:10It's quite good company, yeah.

0:28:10 > 0:28:12Rubbing elbows at the buffet.

0:28:15 > 0:28:16Yeah, back in a nanosecond.

0:28:16 > 0:28:17LAUGHTER

0:28:19 > 0:28:21The film-maker Michael Moore,

0:28:21 > 0:28:23who actually did call out this whole election.

0:28:23 > 0:28:26I mean, he kind of saw how it was panning out.

0:28:26 > 0:28:29He has now said and... He said that he wants you.

0:28:29 > 0:28:31You know, I thought he was deranged

0:28:31 > 0:28:34or was not deranged right up until he said that.

0:28:34 > 0:28:37- He wants you to run as president. - Yeah OK. All right, fine.

0:28:37 > 0:28:40He says you're the only hope... APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:28:40 > 0:28:41Oh, please. Oh, dear Lord.

0:28:41 > 0:28:43Dear Lord.

0:28:45 > 0:28:48- It's just four years of your life. Do it, Tom!- Yeah, yeah.

0:28:48 > 0:28:51If you cared, you'd do it.

0:28:52 > 0:28:54I'm not qualified

0:28:54 > 0:28:56to be the president of the Three Stooges fan club.

0:28:56 > 0:28:58- Well... - I might take that job.

0:28:59 > 0:29:03Right, it is time to meet my next guest.

0:29:03 > 0:29:07Now, at the Rio Olympics, he won double gold for the second time.

0:29:07 > 0:29:11He's quite simply the greatest long-distance runner of all time.

0:29:11 > 0:29:13Ready, steady, Mo, it's Mr Mo Farah!

0:29:13 > 0:29:14CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:29:19 > 0:29:22Hello, sir. Lovely to see you again. Have a seat.

0:29:25 > 0:29:28- Hi.- What a pleasure. Hi, how you doing?

0:29:28 > 0:29:29- Joseph.- Pleased to meet you.

0:29:29 > 0:29:31CHEERING AND APPLAUSE CONTINUES

0:29:34 > 0:29:38I like... I like that you've still got running shoes on.

0:29:38 > 0:29:43- They're comfortable.- At any moment, he could go for a race.

0:29:43 > 0:29:45Very good. Well welcome, Mo.

0:29:45 > 0:29:47- Are you a bit starstruck? - I am, I am big-time.

0:29:47 > 0:29:50I'm like, "Ooh."

0:29:50 > 0:29:52LAUGHTER

0:29:52 > 0:29:54Cos what is it, Captain Phillips that...?

0:29:54 > 0:29:57My favourite movie of Tom is Captain Phillips.

0:29:57 > 0:30:00And I've seen The Green Mile. There's so many of them,

0:30:00 > 0:30:02but my favourite one, because, as you know,

0:30:02 > 0:30:05I was born in Somalia and the guy who was acting,

0:30:05 > 0:30:07he was born in Somalia, Mogadishu, was Barkhad, the guy.

0:30:07 > 0:30:10- And I know him. - You know Barkhad?- Yeah.- Oh.

0:30:10 > 0:30:12- So it was just... - LAUGHTER

0:30:13 > 0:30:17That's like "Oh, you're from England. Do you know my cousin?"

0:30:18 > 0:30:20If you were to meet backstage, you'd say, "Hi, I'm from Somalia."

0:30:20 > 0:30:22I'd say, "Hey, do you know Barkhad Abdi?"

0:30:24 > 0:30:27That's what happens. In Somalia, everybody knows each other and it's just...

0:30:27 > 0:30:31- It's a small world. - But you and he must be like kings.

0:30:31 > 0:30:35Yeah, they've done very well. They've done very well.

0:30:35 > 0:30:39Now, double-double, that's something else. A round of applause for that.

0:30:39 > 0:30:41APPLAUSE AND CHEERING

0:30:44 > 0:30:49But, I don't know, cos in America maybe you didn't follow the story,

0:30:49 > 0:30:52but you really put the nation through it.

0:30:52 > 0:30:56Because when you tripped, right at the start of the 10,000,

0:30:56 > 0:30:57there you are.

0:30:57 > 0:31:02Like, when you got up again, did you think, "Is it worth bothering now?"

0:31:03 > 0:31:07No, because there was a point where I had to make a split decision.

0:31:07 > 0:31:11When you go down and you get nervous and it's just... You panic.

0:31:11 > 0:31:14Every human does. You panic and you're like, "Oh, my God, I've just fallen down.

0:31:14 > 0:31:17"It's over, the race is over." But I just had to get over it and think,

0:31:17 > 0:31:21"God, I worked four years for this. I can't let that happen."

0:31:21 > 0:31:23I was just like, "Just be patient, be patient."

0:31:23 > 0:31:26And, secondly, I promised my daughter Rihanna

0:31:26 > 0:31:27I was going to get her a gold medal.

0:31:27 > 0:31:29So her for her birthday, I told her I was going

0:31:29 > 0:31:31to get her a gold medal cos I was training so hard.

0:31:32 > 0:31:33Wow!

0:31:33 > 0:31:35APPLAUSE

0:31:35 > 0:31:37That's... That's some motivation.

0:31:37 > 0:31:43I've got four kids. The twins, I got two medals from London.

0:31:43 > 0:31:44And then my son got a medal now.

0:31:44 > 0:31:46And Rihanna was just the one only missing.

0:31:46 > 0:31:50As an 11-year-old, you know, they ask questions, "Dad, Dad?"

0:31:50 > 0:31:53Because she kept asking me - "You got the twins a medal, where's my medal, where's my medal?"

0:31:53 > 0:31:57I was like... That was years ago, a couple of years ago.

0:31:57 > 0:32:00I'm like, "OK, I'll work towards it." And I couldn't let her down.

0:32:00 > 0:32:02That's what's kept me going.

0:32:02 > 0:32:05So, do you need to have another child to get another gold medal?

0:32:05 > 0:32:07Is that how that works?

0:32:07 > 0:32:09Is that part of your training?

0:32:09 > 0:32:13I think four is a good number.

0:32:13 > 0:32:15Now, you've brought out a DVD.

0:32:15 > 0:32:21This is a sort of film, it's all about the lead-up to Rio and your experiences in Rio, is that right?

0:32:21 > 0:32:24Yeah. It's about, basically about my life and what it takes to be

0:32:24 > 0:32:27a champion and, you know, I've got four kids.

0:32:27 > 0:32:30It's not easy having four kids. I'm away six months of the year.

0:32:30 > 0:32:34It's basically going inside of my life, what I do day in, day out.

0:32:34 > 0:32:37And I just want to get, you know, show people.

0:32:37 > 0:32:40So if you are an aspiring athlete or if you...

0:32:40 > 0:32:42Will it help people with motivation and stuff?

0:32:42 > 0:32:46I hope it does because that's the whole point of doing this DVD.

0:32:46 > 0:32:49People out there just see you and TV, like, and think,

0:32:49 > 0:32:51"Oh, my God, I can never get up there."

0:32:51 > 0:32:53But you can. I started at the age of 12

0:32:53 > 0:32:55and it's just been hard work and year after year.

0:32:55 > 0:32:58And now, finally, you know what, I have achieved.

0:32:58 > 0:33:01I did dream of myself becoming a four-time Olympic champion.

0:33:01 > 0:33:05Once, I remember watching the Sydney Olympics and thinking,

0:33:05 > 0:33:06"I want to become Olympic champion."

0:33:06 > 0:33:09And then, leading up to Beijing, I didn't even make the final.

0:33:09 > 0:33:12And I had to wait for another four years. And then London, I do double.

0:33:12 > 0:33:16And then another four years in Rio. You know, it is incredible.

0:33:16 > 0:33:19It really is. What's interesting is seeing you again.

0:33:19 > 0:33:22- When were you on the show before? - Just after London.

0:33:22 > 0:33:24- Was just after London?- Maybe. - You're like a different person.

0:33:24 > 0:33:26You're so kind of, you know, self-assured.

0:33:26 > 0:33:28Because the last time, you were quite nervous.

0:33:28 > 0:33:31And now you're just like, "Yeah. Tom Hanks, whatever."

0:33:31 > 0:33:33LAUGHTER

0:33:33 > 0:33:35I've been watching too many movies.

0:33:35 > 0:33:37You know, man, he's been to Rio.

0:33:37 > 0:33:40Once you get back from Rio, it's all...

0:33:40 > 0:33:42No Easy Mile is the name of the DVD,

0:33:42 > 0:33:44it's out on Monday the 5th of December

0:33:44 > 0:33:45and here's a little taste.

0:33:47 > 0:33:50He's unquestionably one of the very best.

0:33:56 > 0:33:59For the last six years I've been away from my family six months of the year.

0:34:01 > 0:34:03Being good's not enough to win a gold medal.

0:34:03 > 0:34:05You've got to be excellent.

0:34:08 > 0:34:12You only get one chance, one moment. And this is my moment.

0:34:15 > 0:34:16- APPLAUSE - Wow.

0:34:22 > 0:34:24Now, running, as we know, a very sexy sport.

0:34:24 > 0:34:27Proof of that is Mr Tom Hanks.

0:34:27 > 0:34:31I believe your wife, one of her favourite scenes is you running.

0:34:31 > 0:34:35Oh...Oh, dear. The running away scene.

0:34:35 > 0:34:39Yes. Every interview will be about Forrest Gump at some point.

0:34:39 > 0:34:40You'll have the same thing.

0:34:40 > 0:34:44You'll be answering questions about St Joan for the rest of your life.

0:34:44 > 0:34:48I was... I had done, not the workouts,

0:34:48 > 0:34:51but I had worked out quite a bit and it was all about running.

0:34:51 > 0:34:54And I must say that my "butt-ocks",

0:34:54 > 0:34:59as Forrest would say, were as firm as tinned hams.

0:34:59 > 0:35:01They were just... They were just the...

0:35:01 > 0:35:05I've seen the movie and I've seen it and every now and again

0:35:05 > 0:35:07if it comes by on the cable,

0:35:07 > 0:35:10my wife will just go, "Just leave it here, honey.

0:35:10 > 0:35:14"I want to see that one scene where you're running away from the camera.

0:35:14 > 0:35:16"I want to have a look at that fine Hanks' ass!"

0:35:16 > 0:35:18LAUGHTER

0:35:18 > 0:35:21APPLAUSE

0:35:21 > 0:35:22But it's not there any more.

0:35:22 > 0:35:25But in the day, man, it was...

0:35:25 > 0:35:28I must say, I even think it's a beautiful thing to behold.

0:35:30 > 0:35:33And actually there's another link between Mo and Tom.

0:35:33 > 0:35:36Because the last time you were on, remember those memes

0:35:36 > 0:35:39people would do, the Mo Farah running away from things.

0:35:39 > 0:35:44- So, Mo Farah running away from a bear.- Oh!

0:35:44 > 0:35:46Mo Farah in a bull run.

0:35:46 > 0:35:49Mo Farah in the Sound of Music.

0:35:49 > 0:35:52LAUGHTER

0:35:52 > 0:35:56And there is one of Mo Farah running away from Forrest Gump.

0:36:03 > 0:36:05One of the reasons I remember Tom

0:36:05 > 0:36:07and obviously it's amazing what he does,

0:36:07 > 0:36:11is when you go out for a run, "Run, Forrest, run!"

0:36:12 > 0:36:15- But it's a nice thing, it's a compliment.- It's lovely.

0:36:15 > 0:36:17You've got to think, you've gone to all that trouble of becoming

0:36:17 > 0:36:20a famous runner, and they're still calling you another name.

0:36:20 > 0:36:21How hard is Mo?

0:36:21 > 0:36:23LAUGHTER

0:36:23 > 0:36:26Run, Farah, run. Maybe that could work. See, there you go.

0:36:26 > 0:36:33- Run, Farah run. Take it, folks. It is my gift unto you.- They are.

0:36:33 > 0:36:35Actually, could you do a lovely thing, Tom,

0:36:35 > 0:36:36could you do a lovely thing?

0:36:36 > 0:36:39Just cos Mo's here - he's the greatest runner in the world.

0:36:39 > 0:36:41Could you do the line from Forrest Gump where

0:36:41 > 0:36:44he suddenly discovers how much he likes running?

0:36:44 > 0:36:45I would be happy to do it,

0:36:45 > 0:36:47but you must show the lady with the cue card,

0:36:47 > 0:36:51cos otherwise people will think that I've actually memorised this.

0:36:51 > 0:36:56Show the lady with the cue card, cut over to her. Just show... See?

0:36:56 > 0:36:58There she is. She's there.

0:36:58 > 0:36:59I will in fact do it. OK, it is...

0:36:59 > 0:37:02- This is for you, Mo. - This is for you, Mo.

0:37:02 > 0:37:05"Now you wouldn't believe me if I told you, but I could run

0:37:05 > 0:37:07"like the wind blows.

0:37:07 > 0:37:12"From that day on, if I was going somewhere, I was RUNNING."

0:37:13 > 0:37:16CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:37:16 > 0:37:19It's going to haunt you for the rest of your days.

0:37:19 > 0:37:21Don't embrace it too much.

0:37:23 > 0:37:24It makes us happy.

0:37:24 > 0:37:28All right, it's time for our musical performance.

0:37:28 > 0:37:30This man has gone from X Factor hopeful

0:37:30 > 0:37:33to one of Britain's biggest music stars.

0:37:33 > 0:37:36Performing his single Years and Years, it's Olly Murs!

0:37:36 > 0:37:37CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:37:40 > 0:37:42# When I'm alone, in the dark

0:37:42 > 0:37:47# I paint a picture inside my mind

0:37:48 > 0:37:50# Of all the things that I wanted

0:37:50 > 0:37:54# But I never thought I would find

0:37:55 > 0:37:58# And it blows my mind

0:37:58 > 0:38:04# Because there you are by my side

0:38:04 > 0:38:06# Maybe you know, maybe you don't

0:38:06 > 0:38:09# But it's a question I have to ask

0:38:11 > 0:38:14# I know we're young, and we've got life

0:38:14 > 0:38:17# But life always goes so fast

0:38:19 > 0:38:22# But while you're mine

0:38:22 > 0:38:27# Yeah, it feels like time's on our side

0:38:28 > 0:38:32# Years and years, forever young

0:38:32 > 0:38:35# Years and years, yet to come

0:38:35 > 0:38:38# I take every second of every minute

0:38:38 > 0:38:41# Long as you're in it, you know I'm winning

0:38:44 > 0:38:48# Years and years, we won't forget

0:38:48 > 0:38:51# The time and place that we met

0:38:51 > 0:38:55# And I remember it all so clear

0:38:55 > 0:38:59# You signed your name on my heart Saying you were here

0:39:03 > 0:39:05# No, we're not at the end

0:39:05 > 0:39:08# But we came close maybe once or twice

0:39:11 > 0:39:17# We got burned but we learned not to listen to bad advice

0:39:17 > 0:39:21# Now I know you're mine

0:39:21 > 0:39:26# Cos it feels like time's on our side

0:39:27 > 0:39:31# Years and years, forever young

0:39:31 > 0:39:34# Years and years, yet to come

0:39:34 > 0:39:37# I take every second of every minute

0:39:37 > 0:39:41# Long as you're in it, you know I'm winning

0:39:43 > 0:39:46# Years and years, we won't forget

0:39:46 > 0:39:50# The time and place that we met

0:39:50 > 0:39:53# And I remember it all so clear

0:39:54 > 0:39:56# You signed your name on my heart

0:39:56 > 0:39:58# Saying you were here

0:39:58 > 0:40:02# It doesn't matter where we go

0:40:02 > 0:40:05# It's all I want, it's all I know

0:40:06 > 0:40:11# This feeling's never ever getting old

0:40:11 > 0:40:17# It's all I know, oh-oh oh-oh

0:40:17 > 0:40:20# Know, oh-oh oh-oh

0:40:22 > 0:40:26# Years and years, forever young

0:40:26 > 0:40:29# Years and years, yet to come

0:40:29 > 0:40:32# I take every second of every minute
