:03:57. > :04:02.Tomorrow is Remembrance Sunday. Tonight, we are honoured to be

:04:03. > :04:07.joined by D-Day Revisited. Good evening. Good evening. Thanks so

:04:08. > :04:12.much for being here. John Phipps is the founder. How did it come about?

:04:13. > :04:17.It was back in 2008 when we were in view of the 65th anniversary of the

:04:18. > :04:20.Normandy landings and we realised that there are quite a lot of

:04:21. > :04:25.veterans who want to go over there and can't afford it. We put this

:04:26. > :04:29.idea together and really what was driving us thinking that in 1944

:04:30. > :04:33.they didn't have to buy their ticket. So why should they have to

:04:34. > :04:39.do it now? It just seemed such a right thing to do. And then we were

:04:40. > :04:43.going to do it as a one-off. Everybody liked it. And the French

:04:44. > :04:49.liked it. So we kept on going. Five years on, you are looking forward to

:04:50. > :04:53.the 70th anniversary? Yes. So all the plans are being formed now. We

:04:54. > :04:59.will be going again. Thank you so much. We caught up with one of the

:05:00. > :05:09.oldest veterans, 95-year-old Ron Rowson, to hear his story. We went

:05:10. > :05:16.in on a steamship, which landed to the beach as near as possible. So we

:05:17. > :05:24.could get our equipment off. It was very frightening. We knew a lot

:05:25. > :05:32.could happen. I'd advise anybody who hasn't been back to go back. I

:05:33. > :05:53.wanted to visit the military cemeteries. And pay my respects. It

:05:54. > :05:58.was a bit frightening at times but I wouldn't have missed it for the

:05:59. > :06:11.world. It was a wonderful opportunity. I think back to those

:06:12. > :06:16.who never came back. Inconceivable for most of us. John, you were in

:06:17. > :06:20.the Royal Navy at the time. You have been back with this organisation?

:06:21. > :06:25.Yes. What's it meant to you to go back? Well, thanks to Lottery

:06:26. > :06:34.funding, we are able to go back and next year we will be taking 110,

:06:35. > :06:40.with a bit of luck, and, of course, we are so grateful to receive the

:06:41. > :06:44.chance of going back to visit our - well, the graves of the people who

:06:45. > :06:48.will never come back. We are lucky. We come back. The French people are

:06:49. > :06:55.very good to us and we go and speak to the kids in the school and they

:06:56. > :06:59.get a kick, we get a kick out of it. Without - as they have said, without

:07:00. > :07:03.the money, we couldn't go. It is exceptional. Well, it is a brilliant

:07:04. > :07:08.initiative. Well done for coming up with it. I know you don't want it to

:07:09. > :07:12.be about you - and that is quite right. I can tell you that before we

:07:13. > :07:16.came on air tonight, the Lottery have told us your funding for next

:07:17. > :07:21.year has been secured. I am sure everybody is very happy with that.

:07:22. > :07:26.We get a great payback out of this, too. Brilliant. Can I come? Of

:07:27. > :07:30.course. I would love to come. If you would like to find out more about

:07:31. > :07:34.D-Day Revisited, you can visit their website via bbc.co.uk/lottery. Time

:07:35. > :07:42.for one last draw and it is Thunderball time.

:07:43. > :07:52.Alright. Thunderballs are go! Alan? Julie, start up the Thunderball

:07:53. > :07:59.machines if you would, please? We are off and running. Both of

:08:00. > :08:06.tonight's draws are being overseen by an independent adjudicator.

:08:07. > :08:16.Let's do it. Let's start the draw. Let's see how we get on. The first

:08:17. > :08:21.one is about to appear. That is 18. A total of 39 balls to pick from in

:08:22. > :08:29.this first machine. Here is the next one. 27. Three opportunities per

:08:30. > :08:37.week to play the game itself. The next one is 22. A couple more from

:08:38. > :08:50.this machine now. Here is the first. That is 14. Finally, how about this

:08:51. > :09:00.number - 21? Let's draw the Thunderball itself now. Excellent.

:09:01. > :09:01.There it is, number 1. So, here are tonight's Thunderball numbers in

:09:02. > :09:24.ascending order: Early indications show one player

:09:25. > :09:29.has won tonight's Lotto jackpot! Wow! I hope you are watching now.

:09:30. > :09:34.That is it from us. A big thank you to the gents from D-Day Revisited.

:09:35. > :09:39.Let's hear it for those guys. APPLAUSE Superb. We will be back

:09:40. > :09:41.next Saturday. Until then, have a fantastic weekend. Casualty is next

:09:42. > :09:43.on BBC One.
