:01:30. > :01:34.know how the show works. Along with my trusty team, I travel here,

:01:34. > :01:40.there and everywhere, hunting down people with big plans. When I find

:01:53. > :01:57.dreams come true. I do a lot of stuff in disguise so if you see me

:01:57. > :02:02.in a leather waistcoat and platform shoes, I am surprising somebody for

:02:02. > :02:07.the show, or I am off to a really good party. Let's see what

:02:07. > :02:12.surprises and despises are on the way. Sophie Ellis-Bextor joins us -

:02:12. > :02:18.- disguises. The band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines get a brand

:02:18. > :02:23.new conductor. Billy Elliott is back to boogie, and Matt Baker

:02:23. > :02:31.helps Glee pars biggest fan meet its biggest laugh. I am going to be

:02:31. > :02:40.springing a show -- ace of surprise on a special goal. Mad as a special

:02:40. > :02:49.Let's get on with our first surprise. We have all dealt with

:02:50. > :02:54.call centres, right? A call for you, John. Thanks! Press one if you wish

:02:54. > :02:59.to change and order. Pressed to if you have a question regarding

:02:59. > :03:04.delivery. Press three if you are a nightmare call with a list of

:03:04. > :03:10.impossible demands. That will be three, then. Here is what happened

:03:10. > :03:14.when I became that caller. We are here at a call centre in Newton

:03:14. > :03:18.Abbot, Devon, to surprise one of its telephone operators, 20-year-

:03:18. > :03:23.old Bobby Watts. I am in the warehouse of the call centre where

:03:23. > :03:27.Bobby works. She normally takes catalogue orders but today,

:03:27. > :03:32.Tonight's The Night is calling. Bobby could soon be court -- before

:03:32. > :03:37.she could walk. She loves all music and can belt out anything from

:03:37. > :03:41.classical numbers to golden oldies and pure pop. A mother is never far

:03:41. > :03:45.from a performance. She is always singing, she will sing in the

:03:45. > :03:48.supermarket, in any shop, any street. Bobby was set on going to

:03:48. > :03:52.college to study performing arts, but when her older brother was

:03:52. > :03:56.tragically killed in a road traffic accident, she lost her best friend

:03:56. > :04:00.and biggest supporter. No really encouraged with her singing because

:04:01. > :04:05.he would take care to all the auditions, he would find auditions

:04:05. > :04:09.were to go to, and support her. Bobby found the courage to sing

:04:09. > :04:14.that a brother's funeral, but his death left her dream shattered. A

:04:14. > :04:19.granddad noticed a big change. seemed to knock her sideways and

:04:19. > :04:23.took the wind completely out of the sales, she was devastated.

:04:23. > :04:27.years on, Bobby's family feels she is slowly getting back on track and

:04:28. > :04:32.could be ready to pursue her dream. All she needs is a confidence boost.

:04:32. > :04:37.It seems recently that the pack -- the Passion is there and the fire

:04:37. > :04:43.is coming back. She deserves to have it back. She gives so much to

:04:43. > :04:46.others, it is time to have it there. She takes orders for a gift

:04:47. > :04:51.catalogue. She is about to deal with some very eccentric customers,

:04:51. > :04:57.who are all me. Bobby has arrived at work, we have everything set up,

:04:57. > :05:05.she is ready to go, it is time to make a dream come true. How can I

:05:05. > :05:13.help you? I am looking at a turban. I have problems with my hair.

:05:13. > :05:20.have the page number? It is 19. I prefer the smile of the lady with

:05:20. > :05:25.the floral turban. The wrinkles on me, I can tell you. Not wrinkles!

:05:25. > :05:30.What are they? They show you have had a very fulfilling life. I have

:05:30. > :05:35.never thought of it that way. I hope that one day, you have a very

:05:35. > :05:40.wrinkly face! Thank you! I will take that as a compliment. I could

:05:40. > :05:43.talk with you all afternoon. Come round with a cup of tea and a nice

:05:43. > :05:48.Victoria sponge! A strong builder's tea, especially when it is

:05:48. > :05:52.delivered by a builder! Tell me about it, I wouldn't mind a good

:05:52. > :05:56.looking one coming about right now! Feisty! The first one has gone

:05:56. > :06:03.brilliantly, she has fallen for it, she has described the whole

:06:03. > :06:09.conversation to her boss. It seems like every on board in the

:06:09. > :06:15.UK is calling. -- every odd person in the UK. I don't move as quickly

:06:15. > :06:19.as I used to. Hold on! What she doesn't know is that I am a

:06:19. > :06:26.distraught caller, because I think that is my dog that has gone

:06:26. > :06:30.missing. The dog in their, that is my dog that has been missing for

:06:30. > :06:37.two months, it is Princess chocolate buttons! Can you bear

:06:37. > :06:42.with me one moment. What was your name? Gavin, Gavin Barker. She is

:06:42. > :06:47.talking to the supervisor. She is not sure what to do. This man is

:06:47. > :06:52.claiming that is his dog. Hello, Gavin. I am ever so sorry, I have

:06:52. > :06:59.spoken to my sales manager. I am afraid that is not your dog. We are

:06:59. > :07:09.told it is our breeders dog. Right, I feel very embarrassed. I am so

:07:09. > :07:11.

:07:11. > :07:16.sorry. I am sorry for your loss. Hook, line and sinker! Now it is

:07:16. > :07:25.time to reveal who is really behind the phone! Good morning, what is

:07:25. > :07:30.your first name, please? John. your last name? Baron and. He --

:07:30. > :07:35.John Barrowman. I am right here, talking to you, because I am from

:07:35. > :07:44.Tonight's The Night and I am here to make your dream come true. It

:07:44. > :07:50.was all me! And everybody here is in on it! I have been hiding over

:07:50. > :07:54.there. We -- you have had a tough time of late. I am going to whisk

:07:54. > :08:00.you off, and you are going to go to the Tonight's The Night studio, and

:08:00. > :08:10.you are going to sing in front of the nation, on television... Prime

:08:10. > :08:11.

:08:11. > :08:15.A couple of weeks later, Bobby is in Glasgow rehearsing her big

:08:15. > :08:20.number and she has no idea she is singing with a pop idol, Sophie

:08:20. > :08:26.Ellis-Bextor. She is about to get the surprise of her life. I had to

:08:26. > :08:29.come and say hello. I will be singing with you later. Hello. Nice

:08:29. > :08:34.to meet you. I was going to ask you if you are nervous but you are

:08:34. > :08:38.clearly not, because your voice is incredible, it sounds amazing. I

:08:38. > :08:45.think we are going do have lots of fun. I hope you are excited. Yes, I

:08:45. > :08:53.am. I was extremely shocked to see surface -- Sophie Ellis-Bextor, it

:08:53. > :08:57.was a wicked surprise. I am really looking forward to tonight, we are

:08:57. > :09:02.going to have lots of fun. I knew that I love this song, it is really

:09:02. > :09:08.pretty, it has a wistfulness, it is optimistic. Now I know how good her

:09:08. > :09:18.voice is, I think she will steal the show. In a good way.

:09:18. > :09:23.

:09:23. > :09:28.Linda, you nominated body. We know you guys have had a tough time

:09:28. > :09:32.since you lost your son -- nominated Bobby. What will this

:09:32. > :09:37.mean to her? It will give her the confidence back and allow her to go

:09:37. > :09:42.forward in the future, so she can fulfil her other dreams. Dad, Bobby

:09:42. > :09:46.was really patient with those callers, is she normally like that?

:09:46. > :09:52.She is school with everything that goes on. She has that kind of

:09:52. > :09:56.patience -- she is cool. All the time. The moment is here. Dreaming

:09:56. > :10:06.a little dream with Sophie Ellis- Bextor, Bobby what's, tonight is

:10:06. > :10:15.

:10:15. > :10:17.# Stars shining bright above you. # Night breezes seem to whisper "I

:10:17. > :10:26.love you". # Birds singing in the sycamore

:10:26. > :10:33.tree. # Dream a little dream of me.

:10:33. > :10:38.# Say "nighty-night" and kiss me. # Just hold me tight and tell me

:10:39. > :10:48.you'll miss me. # While I'm alone and blue as can

:10:49. > :10:51.

:10:51. > :10:59.# Dream a little dream of me. It is my great honour to introduce,

:10:59. > :11:09.the hugely talented Bobby Watts, to the stage. # Stars fading but I

:11:13. > :11:23.# I'm longing to linger till dawn dear.

:11:23. > :11:26.# Just saying this. # Sweet dreams till sun beams find

:11:26. > :11:32.you. # Sweet dreams that leave all

:11:32. > :11:42.worries behind you. # But in your dreams, whatever they

:11:42. > :12:14.

:12:14. > :12:18.Beautiful, it really beautiful. You have all the confidence in the

:12:18. > :12:26.world now. You came out there like a true star, you were absolutely

:12:26. > :12:32.shining. Mum and dad, everything you hope for? Absolutely. Proud?

:12:32. > :12:37.Very. How do you feel? I am over the moon, but I am shaking. It is a

:12:37. > :12:41.good shake. I loved it. Sophie, what can you say? She was

:12:41. > :12:45.magnificent. She came out there, you took your moment, I think you

:12:45. > :12:55.are going to be singing for the rest of your days. That voice is

:12:55. > :12:58.

:12:58. > :13:07.amazing. So good. I want a cuddle! Also! -- awesome! Please give it up

:13:07. > :13:12.for the always singing, Bobby What a great start to the show,

:13:12. > :13:20.there is more on the way. Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines is here

:13:20. > :13:27.with a one night only conductor. Glee start Matthew Morrison has a

:13:27. > :13:32.dream day out for a deserving goal. And a Billy Elliot dance that will

:13:32. > :13:37.end the -- bring the house down. I can draw the line and a campaign

:13:37. > :13:41.myself into the corner, but that is far as might autistic -- artistic

:13:41. > :13:45.ability goes. I had to inspire young people to create fine art,

:13:45. > :13:55.and I had just the man for the job. From gloopy to, Countryfile and the

:13:55. > :13:59.

:13:59. > :14:04.one show, Matt Baker -- from Blue Welcome back. You have become an

:14:04. > :14:08.art expert for this whole thing. Well, yeah, I tried. Not very

:14:08. > :14:13.successfully. Were you able to use any of your experience from Blue

:14:13. > :14:18.Peter? That was about toilet roll tubes and sticky-back plastic and

:14:18. > :14:22.there was none of that, but I made use of my environment. Well, for

:14:22. > :14:26.this surprise, Matt had to pull off three things, to become a

:14:26. > :14:33.believable art teacher, to know his way around a canvas and to look

:14:33. > :14:37.cool in a goatee beard. Two out of three ain't bad!

:14:37. > :14:41.John has sent me to Bexhill in East Sussex, to surprise 12-year-old

:14:41. > :14:51.Lauren, who helps raise money for charity, despite having an her own

:14:51. > :14:52.

:14:52. > :15:00.problems to cope with, as her mum Lauren was bump with a lump on her

:15:00. > :15:04.back, it was diagnosed as spina bifida. The doctors told me she may

:15:04. > :15:08.never walk or walk with a disability. She has grown up with

:15:08. > :15:12.the lump on her back. Because she is aware she is different, this is

:15:12. > :15:18.why she likes to help other children. When Lauren is not

:15:18. > :15:22.raising money, her passions are singing, dancing and painting. I'm

:15:22. > :15:26.here to surprise Lauren, norpblly, she is taught art by her teacher,

:15:26. > :15:34.today she is being told that a special artist is in town to give

:15:34. > :15:39.her a very special lesson. Enter Felix. Into disguise. I'm starting

:15:39. > :15:46.to resemble a movie star. I look like the guy off Wayne's company

:15:46. > :15:52.World. I will do in a second shall I have red glasses somewhere. We

:15:52. > :15:56.rig the studio with hidden cameras and microphones. Now I'm nervous.

:15:56. > :16:01.My heart is racing. Lauren doesn't let her condition hold her back.

:16:01. > :16:05.She focuss on other children. She has helped to raise over 75,000

:16:05. > :16:11.for various good causes, including the Tree of Hope. Injury any from

:16:11. > :16:16.the charity thinks she is an inspiration for all. I have never

:16:16. > :16:21.met such a young girl with inner goodness and boundless energy. She

:16:21. > :16:28.is always helping to help in some way. One major events that she

:16:28. > :16:35.thought up herself was a glider flight. She raised 1500. She was

:16:35. > :16:41.oogt eight years old. If she thought the sky was the limit, she

:16:41. > :16:51.was wrong. As mum watches the art glass begins. It's not still life.

:16:51. > :17:01.What I never do, ever, is approach an a painting without warming up. A

:17:01. > :17:01.

:17:01. > :17:07.jog, around we go. And then, "ha, ha". Weirder than Van Gogh. Felix

:17:08. > :17:17.singles out lawyeren for his painting masterclass. Stop. I want

:17:18. > :17:18.

:17:18. > :17:28.silence. When I say, Felix, I want you to throw paint at the canvas.

:17:28. > :17:30.

:17:30. > :17:39.FELIX. Stop. APPLAUSE

:17:44. > :17:53.special piece of art. What a piece of work it is. 1, 2, 3, reveal the

:17:53. > :17:58.masterpiece. That is... Do you know who that is? That's John Barrowman.

:17:58. > :18:04.Yeah. I'm not Felix at all. I'm actually Matt Baker from Tonight's

:18:04. > :18:09.The Night. We are here to make your dreams come true. John asked me to

:18:09. > :18:19.come along and surprise you. What do you think? Oh, my God. OK. Is it

:18:33. > :18:37.excited and shocked. I didn't even know it was going on. I'm in

:18:37. > :18:42.amazement. Talk about Glee, Lauren doesn't doesn't have long to get

:19:35. > :19:42.momentos she set up for the concert. She is invited backstage to help

:19:42. > :19:50.Matthew out with a sound check. How cool is that?! It's all happening.

:21:32. > :21:37.things she has done is incredible. How proud are you of her? Very

:21:37. > :21:42.proud. The reaction? Incredible. You say tears of joy. You are very

:21:42. > :21:46.happy at the moment. Like you say, she does so many amazing things for

:25:41. > :25:43.it rewarding for you to do this kind of stuff? Yes, very. What is

:25:43. > :25:47.your most favourite part of the whole thing? Being involved with

:25:47. > :25:51.the community and getting the community together. We had a Fun

:25:51. > :25:54.Day which was was attended by hundreds of people in the village.

:25:54. > :26:01.It was brilliant getting everybody involved. Somebody told me to ask

:26:01. > :26:10.you, what is the most ridiculous thing that you have ever done as a

:26:10. > :26:18.Hill Raiser? Don't give those secrets away? Santa Claus going

:26:18. > :26:21.around the village. We built a Santa sleigh and took it around the

:26:21. > :26:29.village. There is a sheltered housing complex near us. The snow

:26:29. > :26:33.was four or five feet deep much we got spades and dug it out. Then we

:26:33. > :26:38.delivered food around the village as well. That is what I like, good

:26:38. > :26:42.Samaritans. Laidiedies, I want to perform a song that sums up your

:29:21. > :29:27.

:29:27. > :29:34.Are you a bit RMS? It is good. It must be hard to take this in -- a

:29:34. > :29:40.bit of a mess? It is very hard to take it in. Does it feel good? Yes.

:29:40. > :29:44.To know that everybody feels this way about you guys, it must make

:29:44. > :29:52.everything you do and the hard work worthwhile? It is nice to see the

:30:18. > :30:22.For some of my surprise is, I am in disguise. For others, I go as

:30:22. > :30:27.myself. For this next one, although I was behind the scenes, I was

:30:27. > :30:34.still causing havoc. This is when I became a puppet-master, with no

:30:35. > :30:41.strings attached. I am in Wales, beautiful Lampeter, to meet Sally

:30:41. > :30:45.Sanders, a woman who loves to boogie. Since she was a little girl,

:30:45. > :30:49.Sally Sanders has been passionate about singing and dancing. Nowadays,

:30:49. > :30:55.she runs a choir and community dance school in her village. Her

:30:55. > :31:01.mum couldn't be more proud. She get so much joy from her dancing that I

:31:01. > :31:05.think she wanted to impart that, to give the children something to do.

:31:05. > :31:09.In between juggling her full-time teaching job and family of three,

:31:10. > :31:13.she also does volunteer work with the children special care unit.

:31:13. > :31:18.Sally gives so much time to everyone else that her friend Tina

:31:18. > :31:23.decided it was time her dreams came true, and she took centre-stage.

:31:23. > :31:27.She does a lot for the kids, and the community of lumber to. I

:31:27. > :31:34.thought it would be an ideal way for everybody to say thank you for

:31:34. > :31:37.her hard work. Her head mistress degrees. I think Sally diseuse this,

:31:37. > :31:42.because she works ever so hard and gives so much to the children, she

:31:42. > :31:46.deserves to get something back -- deserves this. She thinks she is

:31:46. > :31:50.coming for a special birthday meal but we have arranged for her to be

:31:50. > :31:57.served by this dancing fool, and it will be an experience she never

:31:57. > :32:01.forgets. It is my show! Actually, it is Sally's show now. Sally's

:32:01. > :32:06.friend Tina is in on the set up and hidden cameras will catch every

:32:06. > :32:13.member of the meal, with the worst waiter in Wales, Johnny. I am

:32:13. > :32:19.telling him what to do through my headset while I watched the mission.

:32:19. > :32:29.For starters, let sweat the appetite by messing up the order.

:32:29. > :32:33.

:32:33. > :32:41.The beef, please. Two, ducks, then? No, two, B. Two ducks. Two cows!

:32:41. > :32:49.Sallies hopes of a quiet relaxing lunch are about to be shattered.

:32:49. > :32:57.Sorry, sorry. This is surreal. really enjoying this, getting into

:32:57. > :33:03.the groove. Let's give Johnny some moves for the menu. Sorry about

:33:03. > :33:13.that. I forgot to ask you how you wanted it could, hot, medium or

:33:41. > :33:46.

:33:46. > :33:50.mistakes. This is to make up for the mistakes. Put it down, dance

:33:50. > :34:00.around their table like that, do some sexy dancing. Not too much

:34:15. > :34:25.Excuse me, that one is not well done, and it looks different to

:34:58. > :35:04.One's Tonight's The Night, and I'm here to make your dream come true.

:35:04. > :35:09.I'm so sorry about the service tonight. I love meeting other

:35:09. > :35:13.people who have the passion to educate young people, not only

:35:13. > :35:18.through normal education, but through the arts. I know you

:35:18. > :35:23.believe that is important. You just want one night, a big performance.

:35:23. > :35:27.That would be amazing. I am going to give you that opportunity. You

:35:27. > :35:33.are going to come to the Tonight's The Night studio, you are going to

:35:33. > :35:38.get dolled up, you're going to put on your best Welsh glad rags, that

:35:38. > :35:44.is not all. You are not doing it alone. Because you will become, for

:35:44. > :35:54.that one night, an official cast member of the show Billy Elliott.

:35:54. > :35:57.Yes! I don't know what to say. do it. It is just the most surreal

:35:57. > :36:04.thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't believe it when he

:36:04. > :36:09.walked through the door. Gobsmacked. Week, we sent Sally to London to

:36:09. > :36:14.see the show, in preparation for her big performance. It was amazing,

:36:14. > :36:18.really special. So inspirational, the amount of talent on the stage,

:36:18. > :36:24.particularly the youngsters. I can't wait to get my chance to be a

:36:24. > :36:28.tiny part of what I saw tonight. Time to rehearse for her big night,

:36:28. > :36:34.but apart won't be as tiny as she thinks. This is Tonight's The Night

:36:34. > :36:38.and we dream big. She will be singing the female lead. When I got

:36:38. > :36:42.told the song I was going to do and be part of Mrs Wilkinson, I was

:36:42. > :36:46.really excited that I would get the chance to sing and dance. Sally

:36:46. > :36:50.will be performing alongside her very own Billy, star of the West

:36:50. > :36:55.End show, Scott McKenzie. It has been years since she danced this

:36:55. > :36:58.intensely, but it looks like it has never left her. We are getting

:36:58. > :37:05.through quite Abbott, we have run the number a couple of times and it

:37:05. > :37:12.has been great -- quite a lot. I think she is fantastic. I think she

:37:13. > :37:16.I would say the only part is the stamina, it is so flat out from

:37:16. > :37:20.start to finish. Making sure I have enough lung capacity to hit the

:37:20. > :37:23.last note. It is hard to put it into words, how much I am looking

:37:23. > :37:33.forward to performing on the stage, and a chance to perform in front of

:37:33. > :37:37.

:37:37. > :37:43.an audience and my family and You are a sneaky best friend,

:37:43. > :37:49.aren't you? Yeah. I love you for that. How excited is Sally?

:37:49. > :37:53.can't wait. I can't wait to see it. I can't wait either. Mark, you are

:37:53. > :37:58.Sally's husband. Do you think she will be nervous? I am sure she will

:37:58. > :38:06.be a bit nervous. Are you? A little bit, for her. The kids, gave a

:38:06. > :38:11.thumbs up, or a wave. Awesome. Pam, you are mum, how proud are you

:38:11. > :38:17.going to be when she comes right through those doors? Gobsmacked.

:38:17. > :38:21.Thrilled to bits. Just feeling amazing. She has got the whole

:38:21. > :38:25.family with her. I may have been behind the scenes for Sally, but

:38:25. > :38:30.now she is in control. Dancing the dream with Billy Elliot Stark,

:41:02. > :41:09.Is it what you thought it was going to be? And so it -- so much more.

:41:09. > :41:15.It was amazing. Was the teacher as good as the people? Definitely,

:41:15. > :41:21.without a doubt. I think she is pretty good as well. Divvied up for

:42:47. > :42:50.Steve joined the Royal Marines band when he was 15. That was his life
