:01:18. > :01:31.

:01:31. > :01:36.Good evening! Welcome to Tonight's The Night, the show that turns

:01:36. > :01:41.dreams into reality. In fact, this show reminds me of the one where a

:01:41. > :01:47.guy finds an ancient Lamp and rubs it, and then he is rich, right? Oh,

:01:47. > :01:52.that is the Antiques Roadshow, sorry. No, I'm in Aladdin. Think of

:01:52. > :01:56.me as the genie. I appear out of nowhere, make dreams come true,

:01:56. > :02:03.although I do not walk around in a turban, toppers with curly gold

:02:03. > :02:07.slippers. At least not on week nights. I thought it was funny. So,

:02:07. > :02:11.here is what is on the way. Surprising schemes and amazing

:02:11. > :02:15.dreams. I Andy Murray serves up an ace of a

:02:15. > :02:19.time for a deserving teenager. The Overtones make a dream come

:02:19. > :02:24.true for their number one fan. The one and only Melanie C gives

:02:24. > :02:28.someone a duet to remember. Plus: of I'm Debra Stephenson, and

:02:28. > :02:36.I'm on the Isle of Wight to help make a special teacher's dream come

:02:36. > :02:46.true. On with the dreams. I am a very

:02:46. > :02:46.

:02:46. > :02:53.quiet, retiring... Kind of person. I am also a wallflower. Oh, please!

:02:53. > :03:00.Those qualities made me perfect for this first surprise, a library.

:03:00. > :03:09.Would you like to see my impersonation of a librarian? Shh!

:03:09. > :03:13.Check this out. I am in Liverpool to meet Lisa

:03:13. > :03:17.Dalton, A special singing teacher. This is Lisa's local library, but

:03:17. > :03:21.today's visit will be like no other, because I am about to make a dream

:03:22. > :03:25.come true. When 29-year-old Lisa was as younger, she loved singing.

:03:25. > :03:28.Now she uses that passion to inspire others as a performing arts

:03:28. > :03:32.teacher. But her mum thinks Lisa still harbours a dream of

:03:32. > :03:41.performing in front of millions. She has always wanted to sing,

:03:41. > :03:44.especially on TV or with a band. That must be her dream. A Lisa's

:03:44. > :03:49.sister Sharon thinks that dream deserves to come true, because Lisa

:03:49. > :03:54.is a tower of strength to those closest to her. Her Lisa is so

:03:54. > :03:57.supportive. She is a fabulous sister. It was Lisa that Sharon

:03:57. > :04:02.turned to when she tragically lost her baby daughter three years ago.

:04:02. > :04:06.Lisa did a lot of nice things for me. She was always at the end of

:04:06. > :04:12.the telephone. She sang at my daughter's funeral. I don't know

:04:12. > :04:17.how she did it, but she was and still is amazing. That is why I

:04:17. > :04:20.wanted to thank her. So to thank this loyal Liver Bird for being an

:04:20. > :04:28.outstanding friend and sister, Sharon would like to arrange for

:04:28. > :04:35.Lisa's singing dream to come true. This has been her dream for so long,

:04:35. > :04:40.to sing on television and to be made a star for the day would be

:04:40. > :04:44.brilliant. She would be so happy. To help a spring a surprise on Lisa,

:04:45. > :04:49.we have commanded her local library. I am pretending to make a CBBC

:04:49. > :04:53.documentary. My sound man is going to have a problem, and Lisa will be

:04:53. > :05:00.left holding the boom. Sister Sharon and unsuspectingly so arrive

:05:00. > :05:03.at the library. Would you mind? before they begin browsing, we

:05:03. > :05:08.persuade them to take part in our programme.

:05:08. > :05:12.I am John Barrowman, and I am here for the library revolution for CBBC.

:05:12. > :05:19.Sharon is in on the act, but can I wrote this into topping out when

:05:19. > :05:28.our fake Sound man gets struck by fake food poisoning? John,

:05:28. > :05:34.something is not right. I have to go. Lisa looks concerned about our

:05:34. > :05:40.sound man, but will she help? Hi, I am John. Could you do me a

:05:40. > :05:46.favour? I am sorry to ask, but could you help? Keep this a hand's

:05:46. > :05:49.wit above my head. Bring it down a bit. Hold it there. I will be as

:05:49. > :05:53.quick as I can. I am going to talk about how

:05:53. > :05:58.important books are in my life, but will Lisa realise my memories are

:05:58. > :06:02.actually from her life? First, Lisa's favourite author as a child.

:06:02. > :06:08.My favourite author was Roald Dahl, and I had a brilliant time reading

:06:08. > :06:12.his books. Hint of recognition? How about her limited use of a Spanish

:06:12. > :06:19.Dictionary? I was in bad enough on one of my

:06:19. > :06:26.first trip to Spain. I only learnt have to ask where the Biro was.

:06:26. > :06:31.That worked. Will she now recognise her own showbiz biography?

:06:31. > :06:36.I won the north-west Variety Club North entertain of the year in 1997.

:06:36. > :06:39.It was amazing. Lisa looks like she has played! But

:06:39. > :06:44.does she know this story will end with the surprise of her life?

:06:44. > :06:50.It is not just about libraries, it is about you, Lisa. I am from

:06:50. > :06:56.Tonight's The Night, and I am here to make your dream come true.

:06:56. > :07:00.thought it was weird! Oh, my goodness. Yes. I am going to stand

:07:00. > :07:07.over here. I know you have been a pillar of strength to your family,

:07:07. > :07:11.and in particular to Sharon. I know you love to sing. Yes, you do. I

:07:11. > :07:16.would like to take you to the Tonight's The Night studio, and I

:07:16. > :07:22.would like you to sing to an audience. But not just any audience.

:07:22. > :07:28.Not just the studio. I want you to sing to the nation on Saturday

:07:28. > :07:34.night prime-time BBC One, Tonight's The Night. Yes, please!

:07:34. > :07:44.I don't know what to say. I really am in shock. I am never usually

:07:44. > :07:45.

:07:45. > :07:49.speechless! Would you screen really To sing with a live band and meet

:07:49. > :07:53.John Barrowman and being a BBC studio, it is everything I have

:07:54. > :07:58.dreamed of. A couple of weeks later, Lisa is getting ready for her

:07:58. > :08:03.performance. But she will not sing alone. Lisa is a big fan of the

:08:03. > :08:11.Spice Girls, so average for her to sing a duet with fellow Liverpool

:08:11. > :08:19.last Melanie C. Oh, my goodness. I can't believe it. It has been

:08:19. > :08:26.surprise after surprise. I can't wait. She has given me some wise

:08:26. > :08:30.words. I will do my best to impress Mel and my family and friends.

:08:30. > :08:40.sounds fantastic. If she can keep that confidence tonight, she will

:08:40. > :08:45.

:08:45. > :08:49.blow everyone away. I know this means the world to you. Lisa was a

:08:49. > :08:54.fan of the Spice Girls when she was younger. So she is getting a two

:08:54. > :08:59.for one deal. Childhood dream, plus the dream of performing in front of

:08:59. > :09:04.the nation. How will she be feeling? She will be so excited. It

:09:04. > :09:11.is her dream come true, and it is a dream come true for me to see her.

:09:11. > :09:15.And mum? We are going to need a lot of tissues here tonight. She does

:09:16. > :09:22.not strike me as being someone who lets things stand in her away. She

:09:22. > :09:26.seems like a go-getter. Yes, but she is still nervous. It will give

:09:26. > :09:36.her the confidence she needs. tonight she is going to shine. Here

:09:36. > :09:38.

:09:38. > :09:41.with Melanie C, Lisa Dalton. Tonight's The Night.

:09:42. > :09:46.# I've been wandering around the house all night. Wondering what the

:09:46. > :09:54.hell to do. # Yeah, I'm trying to concentrate.

:09:54. > :09:59.# But all I can think of is you. # Well, the phone don't ring cos my

:09:59. > :10:02.friends ain't home. # I'm tired of being all alone.

:10:02. > :10:12.# Got the TV on. # Cos the radio's playing songs

:10:12. > :10:14.

:10:14. > :10:24.that remind me of you. Ladies and do come in, it gives me

:10:24. > :10:29.

:10:29. > :10:32.great pleasure to introduce least # Baby, when you're gone.

:10:32. > :10:39.# I realise I'm in love. # Days go on and on.

:10:39. > :10:47.# And the nights just seem so long. # Even food don't taste that good.

:10:47. > :10:53.# Drink ain't doing what it should. # Things just feel so wrong.

:10:54. > :10:59.# Baby, when you're gone. # I've been driving up and down

:10:59. > :11:02.these streets. # Trying to find somewhere to go.

:11:02. > :11:10.# Yeah, I'm looking for a familiar face.

:11:10. > :11:16.# But there's no one I know. # Oh, this is torture, this is pain.

:11:16. > :11:21.# It feels like I'm gonna go insane. # I hope you're coming back real

:11:21. > :11:25.soon. # Cos I don't know what to do.

:11:25. > :11:32.# Baby, when you're gone (When you're gone).

:11:32. > :11:39.# I realise I'm in love. # Days go on and on (On and on).

:11:39. > :11:47.# And the nights just seem so long. # Even food don't taste that good.

:11:47. > :11:57.# Drink ain't doing what it should. # Things just feel so wrong.

:11:57. > :12:15.

:12:15. > :12:18.Lisa, Sharon nominated you because you have been a pillar of strength

:12:18. > :12:23.and so supportive. Is there anything you would like to say to

:12:23. > :12:33.her? Her I would like to say, you are such an inspiration to me. You

:12:33. > :12:36.

:12:36. > :12:40.are the best sister. Thank you so much for being a great big sister.

:12:40. > :12:45.Many, you have had a lot of your dreams come true, so you know how

:12:45. > :12:50.she is feeling? She is amazing. All day, she has been singing

:12:50. > :12:52.fantastically. No matter how much experience you have, it is so

:12:52. > :13:02.nerve-racking to perform in front of this audience. She was

:13:02. > :13:10.incredible. Thank you! Many will be back later with her new single. But

:13:10. > :13:15.for now, ladies and gentlemen, Lisa Dalton!

:13:15. > :13:19.Well, we have a show fit to burst. Here is what is still on the way.

:13:19. > :13:24.Andy Murray surprises a tennis mad teenager.

:13:24. > :13:28.A dream from Cleveland sings with the Overtones.

:13:28. > :13:32.And Les Miserables start at Alfie Boe is here to make a West End

:13:32. > :13:36.dream come true. This next surprise takes place in a

:13:36. > :13:45.bingo hall, so eyes down for a full house and let's test you guys out.

:13:45. > :13:55.If I were to say... Kicker ticket, what would that be? 66! That's

:13:55. > :14:02.

:14:02. > :14:09.right. And if I said, two little Watch the teeth! And if I said two

:14:09. > :14:13.Fat Ladies? No, it would be politically incorrect! Talking of

:14:13. > :14:19.ladies, here comes the debut appearance of a rather attractive

:14:19. > :14:26.older woman. In a-type first, I finally got to put my stockings on.

:14:26. > :14:29.Talk about legs Eleven. I am in Stockton on Tees to

:14:29. > :14:33.surprise a very special lady, Lisa Campbell. She and her Mama on their

:14:33. > :14:36.way for a night of bingo. But she does not know that I have got her

:14:36. > :14:40.number and I am about to give her as the surprise of her life. Lisa

:14:40. > :14:44.has been singing and dancing since she was little, and mum and dad are

:14:44. > :14:48.her biggest fans. She has always performed since she was at school.

:14:48. > :14:53.If there was a concert on, she would want to be in it. But five

:14:53. > :14:59.years ago, Lisa's life was turned upside down when she suffered

:14:59. > :15:03.complications during minor surgery. Lisa's medical problems started

:15:03. > :15:08.after a simple operation, and ended with blood clots on her lung. Then

:15:08. > :15:13.she had a further operation. She has to be careful, because she

:15:13. > :15:17.bleeds easily. But Lisa being Lisa, she has got on with life. Lisa's

:15:17. > :15:20.condition means she is on Mechan Dick -- medication for life and

:15:20. > :15:25.closely monitored by the hospital. It also means she has been forced

:15:25. > :15:28.to hang up her dancing stews, but she has remained positive and is an

:15:28. > :15:33.inspiration to her best friend, Rich Hall. It Lisa has been such a

:15:33. > :15:36.good friend to me. I think her medical problems have got her down

:15:36. > :15:41.sometimes, but she is a fighter and keeps coming back. This fighter

:15:41. > :15:44.deserves to have a dream come true. Lisa will be singing live in the

:15:44. > :15:48.tonight's the Night studio in front of millions, but she will not be

:15:48. > :15:54.alone. I have arranged for her to sing with her favourite band, the

:15:54. > :15:58.Overtones. She has always said, I would love to sing with the

:15:58. > :16:04.Overtones. She said they are her favourite band. She has suffered so

:16:04. > :16:07.much in such a short time that she deserves some good luck. She might

:16:07. > :16:11.be lucky at the bingo, but in life she is not the key. We have read

:16:11. > :16:14.the bingo hall with hidden cameras. Bad and Rachel are watching

:16:14. > :16:20.Upstairs, but there are a lot of Tonight's The Night fans in the

:16:20. > :16:30.hall. So disguising myself will not be enough. But I yourself a bit

:16:30. > :16:31.

:16:31. > :16:36.Bridge etd Jones eat your heart out. Does my bum look big in this.

:16:36. > :16:44.Pleased to make your acquaintence. I might look like a lady on the

:16:44. > :16:47.outside, but I'm all man inside. For get Mrs Doubtfire, more like

:16:47. > :16:51.Mrs Doubtful. Lisa's in her regular seat for what she think sz a

:16:51. > :17:01.regular Monday at the bingo. Let's see if Betty can put her off her

:17:01. > :17:02.

:17:02. > :17:08.game. Six and seven, 67. The year I was born. Oh, 11. Betty's lucky

:17:08. > :17:18.number. Eyes down for Full House. Lisa don't be put off by the mad

:17:18. > :17:18.

:17:19. > :17:27.woman behind you. Oh, no, now I've got the giggles. 41, as old as I am.

:17:27. > :17:33.62. That's more like it. 8 and -- Eight and one, 81. He's calling

:17:33. > :17:42.them very quick. 50 I could use a good 50. Now it's time for national

:17:42. > :17:46.bingo hall live link up. I'm about to announce a new game, Barrowman's

:17:46. > :17:51.big bingo bonanza. There will be a lucky winner. Welcome to Monday

:17:51. > :17:59.night at the bingo with me John Barrowman. He's very handsome isn't

:17:59. > :18:03.he? If I were to say to you, cup of tea, you say number? Three. Yeah

:18:03. > :18:09.you got. It brilliant. Here's a more difficult one. What do you

:18:09. > :18:12.call a Beatle who likes playing bingo? Bingo star. I don't write

:18:12. > :18:16.them. Tonight we're going it find one lucky player from the hundreds

:18:16. > :18:23.of bingo hall that's I'm talking to live right now. You could be that

:18:23. > :18:27.lucky person. Are you excited to find out? Yes! Good, so am I. This

:18:27. > :18:37.lucky person has an envelope taped to the bottom of their seat. So all

:18:37. > :18:45.of you look under your seats - now! Have a good dig. Come on. Do we

:18:45. > :18:50.have someone? Where are you? Awesome. Congratulations. Look out

:18:50. > :18:55.Lisa, Betty's on your tail and about to claim the big prize.

:18:56. > :19:00.What's your name? Lisa. Are you excited? I'm sorry dear, there's

:19:00. > :19:05.confusion. I was supposed to have that saet. I can have that ticket

:19:05. > :19:09.and I have another surprise for you because I'm actually John Barrowman

:19:09. > :19:18.from BBC One's Tonight's The Night. And Lisa, I'm here to make your

:19:18. > :19:23.dream come true. Bingo! APPLAUSE

:19:23. > :19:28.Lease ya, I know that you -- Lisa, I know that you have been through

:19:28. > :19:33.an awful lot in your life thus far. A few highs and a few lows, maybe a

:19:33. > :19:37.lot of lows. But you've always bounced back. How would you like to

:19:37. > :19:45.come to the Tonight's The Night studio and sing, for the nation,

:19:45. > :19:50.prime time Saturday night? Yes, please. Yes? Good. But that's not

:19:50. > :19:56.all. You'll be singing with The Overtones!

:19:56. > :20:02.APPLAUSE I've watched the last couple of

:20:02. > :20:06.series and always thought "I wish that was me." I'm a huge fan of

:20:06. > :20:10.John, seen him in concert. I think he's amazing. I love the work that

:20:10. > :20:14.he does. I think it's brilliant that he can help people like me.

:20:14. > :20:23.It's the day of her big performance. Lisa is in full swing. She's about

:20:23. > :20:28.to get some company. When The Overtones walked in, I was so

:20:28. > :20:32.shocked. I didn't expect them. I think it showed on my face. How are

:20:32. > :20:38.you? All right. Lisa might be star struck, but she wastes into time

:20:38. > :20:42.getting in practice with the boys. The most challenging part of the

:20:42. > :20:45.song is when I have to hit the high notes. I'm scared I won't do it on

:20:45. > :20:49.the night. Lisa has a beautiful voice. We told her to relax and

:20:49. > :20:59.have a good time. To perform with the overtones will be amazing.

:20:59. > :21:08.

:21:08. > :21:11.They're my favourite group. It's a dream come true.

:21:11. > :21:15.Lisa has always put everyone first, hasn't she? She has. She's had to

:21:15. > :21:19.cope with so much over the years, where do you think she's got that

:21:19. > :21:24.strength from? She's got an iner is strength. Because she's had such a

:21:24. > :21:31.rough time with her health, but she always thinks of what's to come,

:21:31. > :21:36.the future. That's what this is all about, it's her future. Rachel, you

:21:37. > :21:41.said you're nervous, you're excited. How do you think she's feeling

:21:41. > :21:46.right now? I think she's probably going to be nervous as well. But

:21:46. > :21:51.she'll be more excited and happy that tonight's finally here. Mum,

:21:51. > :21:56.why do you think she likes The Overtones? She likes, she loves

:21:56. > :22:00.their type of music. She always says she'd love to sing with The

:22:00. > :22:04.Overtones and this would be her dream come true. Are you sure it's

:22:04. > :22:11.just the music. They're all pretty handsome, if you ask me. No, it's

:22:11. > :22:18.not just the music! I got the truth out of you finally. Performing Come

:22:18. > :22:28.Back My Love with her favourites, The Overtones, Lisa Campbell,

:22:28. > :22:28.

:22:28. > :22:35.Tonight's The Night! # Come back my love, don't go away

:22:35. > :22:42.# Come back my love, come back to stay.

:22:42. > :22:52.# I love you so, # Well I want you to know

:22:52. > :22:52.

:22:52. > :22:55.# I need your love so badly. # Du-da-wop, du-da-wang.

:22:55. > :22:58.# Du-da-wop, du-da-wang # Du-da-wop.

:22:58. > :23:03.# Oh, won't you come back my love, # Don't go away

:23:04. > :23:11.# I need your loving every day. # I love you so

:23:11. > :23:15.# Well I want you to know. # I need your love so badly.

:23:15. > :23:20.Ladies and gentleman, she's got her dancing shoes on. Please give it up

:23:20. > :23:24.for Lisa! # You said goodbye, I wonder why,

:23:24. > :23:30.# All because of those silly lies # I love you so,

:23:30. > :23:37.# And I want you to know # I need your love so badly.

:23:37. > :23:42.# Everybody makes big mistakes # In this game of romance.

:23:42. > :23:46.# I'm asking you darling # Why don't you come back and give

:23:46. > :23:51.me a chance? # Come back my love, yeah don't go

:23:51. > :23:54.away. # I need your loving every day

:23:54. > :24:03.# I love you so, # Well I want you to know

:24:03. > :24:09.# I need your love so badly. # Everybody makes big mistakes

:24:09. > :24:12.# In this game of romance. # Now I'm asking you darling

:24:12. > :24:15.# Why don't you come back and give me a chance?

:24:15. > :24:20.# Come back my love, yeah don't go away.

:24:20. > :24:28.# I need your loving everyday # I love you so,

:24:28. > :24:38.# Well I want you to know # I need your love so badly.

:24:38. > :24:51.

:24:51. > :24:56.# I need your love so badly # Guys, I have to ask, what did you

:24:56. > :25:00.make of that? I absolutely just have to say how well she has done

:25:00. > :25:04.from start today, to rehearsals, she was so, you know, grateful as

:25:04. > :25:08.well to meet a fan and come on a show and sing a song from the album

:25:08. > :25:16.has been amazing. Well done. It's Lisa and The Overtones now, isn't

:25:16. > :25:20.it? You said if you could have a moment like this, it would mean

:25:20. > :25:23.everything to you. Does it? means absolutely everything. I'm

:25:23. > :25:26.never going to experience this ever again. It's been amazing. Ladies

:25:26. > :25:36.and gentleman, big round of applause for the overtones and Lisa

:25:36. > :25:39.Campbell! APPLAUSE

:25:39. > :25:45.This show is all about fantastic surprises and amazing dreams.

:25:45. > :25:50.There's plenty more on the way. We bring the West End to our stage

:25:50. > :25:55.as Les Miserables star Alfie Bow gives that star a new leading man

:25:55. > :25:58.and we welcome back Melanie C. As you know for some of these

:25:58. > :26:04.surprises I have to go undercover. For this one I had to become a

:26:04. > :26:14.tennis coach, which meant finding my inner sportsman.

:26:14. > :26:18.Yes, so, ball one 15-0, ball two 30-0. Ball four, 40-0. Whoa, watch

:26:18. > :26:26.the face! What is it with the balls tonight!

:26:26. > :26:32.LAUGHTER I'm at a tennis centre in Edinburgh

:26:32. > :26:37.to serve up another dream for a brave young man called Phillip.

:26:37. > :26:43.13-year-old Phillip has always been tennis mad. Mum Jennie knows only

:26:43. > :26:47.too well. Ever since Phillip was a baby, he's been obsessed with

:26:47. > :26:52.tennis. Phillip sometimes go to -- goes to bed with his rack wet,

:26:52. > :26:56.seriously he does. Five years ago he was diagnosed with lieu keemya.

:26:56. > :27:00.His consultant remembers the sport that helped him cope with the

:27:00. > :27:04.treatment. It was tennis which kept him going through what is really a

:27:04. > :27:08.very difficult time. After recovering from leukaemia, Phillip

:27:08. > :27:12.decided to get involved with charity work with his coach.

:27:12. > :27:18.Phillip's done a great job fundraising. He's been fundraising

:27:18. > :27:22.to help other kids with leukaemia and other forms of cancer. To say

:27:22. > :27:26.thanks, his mum's asked me to arrange a special surprise, a face

:27:26. > :27:32.to face with his hero Andy Murray. When Phillip finds out the surprise

:27:32. > :27:37.in store for him, I think he will be, he will go through the roof.

:27:37. > :27:41.Meanwhile, my team of rigged up secret cameras at Phillip's local

:27:41. > :27:47.court. I'm rigged with a new nose to become a tennis star. Watch out

:27:47. > :27:51.for the balls! Fill p and his friends think they're coming to

:27:51. > :27:59.have a master class with that unknown Scottish tennis legend

:27:59. > :28:06.called John macaroni. That's me. I know nothing about tennis. Except I

:28:06. > :28:13.know how to make quite a racquet. So as the boys join me on court,

:28:14. > :28:22.it's safe to say this lesson starts bad and gets worse.

:28:23. > :28:27.Right in the Boris Beckers. John Macaroni has valuable tips. Lesson

:28:27. > :28:35.one the air guitar warm up. I want you to get a wee bit of air guitar

:28:35. > :28:43.going. Come on, there you go. You've got boring air guitars like

:28:43. > :28:51.that. Come on, get a bit like that. OK... Lesson two, how to become one

:28:51. > :28:56.with the ball. I'm going to stand, dead centre and blind fold. I want

:28:56. > :29:06.you to hit the ball to me, all right? Psychology will make sure I

:29:06. > :29:16.will connect with the ball. Here we go. Number three. Did I get it? Try

:29:16. > :29:19.

:29:19. > :29:24.again. Number two. Yes! Lesson three, using the coach for target

:29:24. > :29:33.practice. You request not be serious! That was out. It was so

:29:33. > :29:40.far all of them have been out. Come on, out. I'm winning. I'm winning.

:29:40. > :29:46.Come on try and hit me. Hit me. Oh, that was a beauty. Come on, here

:29:47. > :29:51.look. See this big smile, knock my teeth out. All right that's enough

:29:51. > :29:55.clowning around, it's time to say goodbye to Macaroni and hello to

:29:55. > :30:01.John Barrowman. I'm actually not really here to teach you how to

:30:01. > :30:04.volley, because my name is John Barrowman and I'm from BBC One's

:30:04. > :30:14.Tonight's The Night and I am here Phillip to make your dream come

:30:14. > :30:15.

:30:15. > :30:22.true. The person who is responsible for this is... Your mum Jennie.

:30:22. > :30:26.There she is. Give a big old hug. Guess what,

:30:26. > :30:31.we've got a very special treat for you. We're sending you to go meet

:30:31. > :30:36.up with Andy Murray. Can I say it's a yes for you to play tennis with

:30:36. > :30:43.Andy Murray? Yes. Awesome, high five. You're playing with Andy

:30:43. > :30:46.Murray, I was like "Oh, my God." An amazing surprise. 24 hours later,

:30:46. > :30:50.and Phillip's in Paisley. It's a community tennis day and the crowds

:30:50. > :30:55.are out for Andy Murray. But only Phillip is getting the privilege of

:30:55. > :31:00.having a hit with his hero. really excited. I'm quite shivers

:31:00. > :31:03.with the nerves. I'm not cool at all. I'm just really excited to see

:31:03. > :31:09.Andy and he's just over there, so I've never done anything like this.

:31:09. > :31:16.It will be a great opportunity for me. Hi. How are you doing? Are you

:31:16. > :31:23.all right? Good thanks. Big tennis fan? Yeah, huge. Where about do you

:31:23. > :31:27.play? Craig Lockert. I played there when I was growing up. Do you have

:31:27. > :31:31.advice? The most important thing is to enjoy it. Not to get too

:31:31. > :31:35.stressed out by it. To work hard and listen to your coaches. With so

:31:35. > :31:41.many fans about it's a struggle for Phillip and Andy to get on court.

:31:41. > :31:45.It's time to improvise and time for me to hand over to your commentator

:31:45. > :31:52.John Macaroni. Thanks there John. It's the Clash

:31:52. > :31:57.Of The Titans, on one side a Scots lad and the other the other Phillip.

:31:57. > :32:02.Here comes the ball and again and again. Andy's never played on dirt

:32:02. > :32:07.before. And it's game, set, good work Phillip. I just had a hit with

:32:07. > :32:12.Andy Murray. I was -- it was brilliant. Just a real le decent

:32:12. > :32:15.guy. It's great. He's obviously a very brave boy and a very good

:32:15. > :32:18.tennis player. He's a lot braver than I ever was, that's for sure.

:32:18. > :32:21.Can't wait to get back on the tennis court because today's been a

:32:21. > :32:31.real inspiration to me. And I've really enjoyed it. Thank you very

:32:31. > :32:35.

:32:35. > :32:44.Philip, come on. He said you were a better player than he was at that

:32:44. > :32:51.age. I love that you are speechless. Probably a first. Richard, you are

:32:51. > :32:55.bad. Why did you give up tennis a while back? Well, I thought I

:32:55. > :33:01.cannot hit them any more, so time for a new sport. More um, you must

:33:01. > :33:08.be proud of him. I am extremely proud. He has gone through an awful

:33:08. > :33:16.lot for a boy of his age. We love that you had a great day and got to

:33:16. > :33:21.meet your heroes. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Philip!

:33:21. > :33:26.Now, this is where we put one of you guys in the frame. I am looking

:33:26. > :33:29.for someone who is a theatre director. Someone who is putting on

:33:29. > :33:33.a touring direction of the Jersey Boys, someone looking for a new

:33:33. > :33:38.leading man. Not for the show, I am just generally looking for that

:33:38. > :33:43.person because I might want to do a gig! Back to business. I am

:33:43. > :33:48.actually looking for someone who is retired, someone who has been a

:33:48. > :33:55.charity fundraiser for years, someone who lives in Yorkshire. In

:33:55. > :33:59.fact, Wakefield, and that is you, Susan. But actually, Susan, I am

:34:00. > :34:09.not looking for you, I am looking for your husband, Terry. How are

:34:10. > :34:09.

:34:10. > :34:17.you? Find! A view are speechless like Philip! Well, I hear you have

:34:17. > :34:22.hung up your fund raising broods. Officially. You are wondering what

:34:22. > :34:29.we are talking about, so you guys, come with me. And the rest of you,

:34:29. > :34:34.look at this. We have been married 28 years. I

:34:34. > :34:41.would describe Terry as a very outgoing, very easy to talk to.

:34:41. > :34:44.Always happy. Terry is a joy to work with. When I walk into the

:34:44. > :34:48.office in the morning, Terry will immediately stop whatever he is

:34:48. > :34:55.doing and he will have a smile on his face. It gives a lift to the

:34:55. > :35:00.day. Terry puts the fun in fund- raising. In the last five years, he

:35:00. > :35:05.has raised approximately 1 million. That is testament to the fund-

:35:05. > :35:10.raising team. I have no idea how he does it. He seems to have endless

:35:10. > :35:14.amount of energy. He always encouraged us to take part in

:35:14. > :35:18.events at the hospice as nursing staff. He would not ask you to do

:35:18. > :35:21.anything he would not do himself. He is a great ambassador for the

:35:21. > :35:27.hospice movement. You only had to mention a coffee morning or an

:35:27. > :35:32.event in a pub, and he would be there. It just comes naturally.

:35:32. > :35:38.fund old lady in the town would give a pound, he would treat that

:35:38. > :35:42.person the same as if they gave 500. Everyone knows he does a good

:35:42. > :35:46.job, but something out of the blue will make him realise how much

:35:46. > :35:50.people think of him. Terry should enjoy tonight and be proud of his

:35:50. > :35:54.achievements. Dad, you have done brilliant work for the hospice.

:35:54. > :36:00.They will miss you. You have been a great dad. Enjoy tonight and enjoy

:36:00. > :36:03.your retirement. Pure good egg. have a nice night, Terry. You

:36:03. > :36:09.deserve it for the hard work and fund-raising you have done for the

:36:09. > :36:19.patients. Terry, I love you. deserve to a special night, because

:36:19. > :36:21.

:36:21. > :36:27.the people you touch, you make Don't start. You are going to make

:36:27. > :36:31.me go. Wonderful to hear. How do you feel when you hear stuff like

:36:31. > :36:36.that said about you? Amazing. They are all friends anyway, but I have

:36:36. > :36:45.worked with them for a long time. They are lovely to work with. For

:36:45. > :36:50.them to say that tonight is just... Of amazing. Susan, the hospice is

:36:50. > :36:55.Now 20 years old. How did Terry mark that event? It was last year

:36:55. > :37:00.and they wanted to do something special, so he had the idea of

:37:00. > :37:08.launching a rose. So they went to see a rose grower, him and another

:37:08. > :37:12.fund raiser. And they got the rose grown. It is called the Wakefield

:37:12. > :37:18.Hospice sun rise Rose, a beautiful rose. It is in the gardens of the

:37:18. > :37:23.hospice and also in Wakefield Park. Terry and Susan, many others think

:37:23. > :37:26.you deserve recognition for all you have done. We know how important

:37:26. > :37:36.the rose is to you and the hospice. So I would like to sing this song

:37:36. > :37:42.

:37:42. > :37:52.and dedicate it especially to you. # Some say love, it is a river.

:37:52. > :37:57.

:37:57. > :38:07.# That drowns the tender reed. # Some say love, it is a razor.

:38:07. > :38:12.

:38:12. > :38:22.# That leaves your soul to bleed. # Some say love, it is a hunger.

:38:22. > :38:27.

:38:27. > :38:37.# An endless aching need. # I say love, it is a flower.

:38:37. > :38:44.

:38:44. > :38:49.Terry, you have helped so many people. Some of them are here

:38:49. > :38:59.tonight. The ones that love you, your family, your friends and your

:38:59. > :39:01.

:39:01. > :39:08.fund-raising colleagues, come On Over! When the night has been too

:39:08. > :39:18.lonely. # And the road has been too long.

:39:18. > :39:22.

:39:22. > :39:32.# And you think that love is only. # For the lucky and the strong.

:39:32. > :39:37.

:39:37. > :39:45.# Just remember in the winter. # Far beneath the bitter snows.

:39:45. > :39:55.# Lies the seed that with the sun's love.

:39:55. > :40:14.

:40:14. > :40:24.Just for you. Terry, have you got anything you want to say to these

:40:24. > :40:29.people? No. I was out with her last night! They are sneaky, aren't

:40:29. > :40:36.they? I have to ask you one final question. Are you going to retire

:40:37. > :40:46.now, finally? Probably not. That is what I like to hear! Ladies and

:40:47. > :40:49.

:40:49. > :40:55.As you know, I make dreams come true all over the UK, but I can't

:40:55. > :40:58.be everywhere at once. So for this next surprise, my friend, Debra

:40:58. > :41:02.Stephenson from the impressions show became a school inspector on

:41:02. > :41:11.the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately for everyone, someone in the class

:41:11. > :41:16.was very disruptive. I am Debra Stephenson, and I have been sent on

:41:16. > :41:22.to the high seas - well, the Solent - on a special mission. I am on a

:41:22. > :41:26.ferry on my way to the Isle of Wight, home of award-winning

:41:26. > :41:31.beaches and singing maths teacher Paul Stephens. Paul is an aware

:41:31. > :41:37.that I am coming to give him the surprise of his life. So hoist the

:41:37. > :41:41.mainsail, Batten down the hatches, full steam ahead, captain. Do

:41:41. > :41:46.excuse me. Paul's classroom has been rigged with hidden cameras,

:41:46. > :41:49.and he will now be the one under examination. According to his wife,

:41:49. > :41:56.he has always dreamed of swapping writing on the board for treading

:41:56. > :42:00.the boards. Paul's biggest wish would be to sing with the cast of

:42:00. > :42:03.Les Miserables. He loves the show and all the songs. Poor's

:42:03. > :42:07.performing skills have raised thousands for local charities over

:42:07. > :42:13.the years. But since the tragic death of his son five years ago,

:42:13. > :42:18.Paul now gives his time to one main charity, cardiac risk in the young.

:42:18. > :42:23.Daughter Lucy explains. Andrew suddenly died of a heart condition

:42:23. > :42:27.he did not know about. Since then, my dad has thrown himself into his

:42:27. > :42:31.singing, using that as therapy to help him with his loss. So the

:42:31. > :42:38.years, of Paul has sunk to help others. Now it is time to sing for

:42:38. > :42:41.himself. And when knows which song he will want to perform. Paul loves

:42:41. > :42:48.the song bring him home from Les Miserables. It is a very poignant

:42:48. > :42:53.song to him. A very emotional song. He will be so shocked that it is

:42:53. > :42:57.his turn. I don't think he has a clue that this is coming.

:42:57. > :43:01.secret cameras are in place and my wig is in place as I become

:43:01. > :43:09.hopeless school inspector and Jane Barrington. I feel like a young and

:43:09. > :43:16.Robinson. So, John, see me after the class. In fact, and Robinson

:43:16. > :43:20.may be preferable to Jane. At least Anne can do her job. And as wife

:43:20. > :43:28.when watches from a secret room next door, super klutz Jane tries

:43:28. > :43:34.to throw pour off his stride. -- tries to throw pour off his stride.

:43:34. > :43:40.Don't mind me. Thank you very much. Everyone is on their best behaviour

:43:40. > :43:44.for the inspector and does not react. How will they manage the

:43:44. > :43:51.next distraction, Scotch eggs and flattery? Would you like a Scotch

:43:51. > :43:56.egg? No, thanks. You should, you know. You could manage it with your

:43:56. > :44:01.figure. I shouldn't, on the other hand. Here is a quick IT lesson for

:44:01. > :44:05.you - expensive computers and liquids really don't mix. It wasn't

:44:05. > :44:10.very expensive equipment, was it? Only a few thousand pounds.

:44:10. > :44:17.Computer has often get bugs, so it is time for me to have one of my

:44:17. > :44:21.own. Aaagh! Sorry. It is not that I am allergic, I just don't like bees.

:44:21. > :44:28.In reality, there is no bumblebee, but I am about to give Paul the

:44:28. > :44:32.buzz of his life. I am really sorry to make such a fuss. It is just...

:44:32. > :44:37.Well, I think you are a great teacher. In fact, I know you are a

:44:37. > :44:43.great teacher. And I know that you do a lot for charity. And the

:44:43. > :44:48.reason that I know this is because... And Debra Stephenson

:44:48. > :44:56.from Tonight's The Night. And John Barrowman has sent me to help make

:44:56. > :45:00.your dreams come true. Right, yes? Yes. I understand that you are a

:45:00. > :45:04.big fan of the musical Les Miserables. How would you like to

:45:04. > :45:10.come down to the Tonight's The Night studio and sing a song from

:45:10. > :45:17.that musical on the show? Love to. I was hoping you would say that.

:45:17. > :45:27.I am frightened and excited and nervous. We will see how it goes.

:45:27. > :45:30.

:45:30. > :45:36.We've brought fuel London. It's prt place to inspire Paul ahead of his

:45:36. > :45:42.big performance. Who better to ask for tips, than the star of the show,

:45:42. > :45:47.Alfie Bow. Hello. Nice to meet you. Very nice to meet you indeed. Are

:45:47. > :45:52.you OK. Excuse me. I'm overwhelmed. Looking out there. What do you

:45:52. > :46:00.think. Give us a bit of a song, seriously. In front of you? Yeah,

:46:00. > :46:04.in front of millions as well. # God on high

:46:04. > :46:07.# Hear my prayer # In my need... #

:46:07. > :46:12.I thought Paul's voice was wonderful, very nice. I only heard

:46:12. > :46:16.a little bit, but I think he has a natural ability to sing. That song

:46:16. > :46:21.gets them going. It's a great song to sing. I know it's close to her

:46:21. > :46:27.heart and sentimental to you. yeah. I was going to ask you a

:46:27. > :46:33.favour, if you'd mind if I sang the song with you. I'll be there.

:46:33. > :46:38.I'm crying you can take over. give you the hard stuff to sing.

:46:38. > :46:43.I'll do the easy bit. When Alfie told me he was performing, that's

:46:43. > :46:47.amazing. I seem to be getting loads of surprises at the moment. With

:46:47. > :46:51.Paul's story, it's enough as it is, but with the song added and well as

:46:51. > :47:00.the sentiment behind the song and what it means for Paul, it's going

:47:00. > :47:04.to be a very, very special moment. APPLAUSE

:47:04. > :47:08.You're Paul's daughter, you must be very, very proud of your dad with

:47:08. > :47:11.all that he does. Yes, we're very proud of him. He's worked really,

:47:11. > :47:18.really hard. It's paying off because he sounds amazing. And he's

:47:18. > :47:22.a great dad as well. How's he been since he was surprised by Debra?

:47:22. > :47:28.He's been so excited. He hasn't stopped smiling. I think he can't

:47:28. > :47:31.believe he's actually going to sing on TV. We know Paul's son died
