0:16:36 > 0:16:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:17:33 > 0:17:37Your dreams are starting to come true, with the release of the EP.

0:17:37 > 0:17:40It's done great things for you. You were the musician in residence

0:17:40 > 0:17:42at the Cathedral Quarter Festival recently.

0:17:42 > 0:17:46You're doing a lot more gigs around Belfast, but travelling a bit, too?

0:17:46 > 0:17:49Yes, I have been. Like you said, I was the musician in residence

0:17:49 > 0:17:52at the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival and I'm about to head off

0:17:52 > 0:17:55to America now, for about three weeks, to work.

0:17:55 > 0:18:00And, yeah, I've been travelling. I've done gigs in Germany and, yeah,

0:18:00 > 0:18:03I've been really busy and had some amazing opportunities.

0:18:03 > 0:18:06Your background is primarily in traditional music,

0:18:06 > 0:18:09so how does the trad mix with what you're doing now?

0:18:22 > 0:18:26I continue to do both, alongside each other.

0:18:26 > 0:18:28I'm hopefully going to do some recording very soon

0:18:28 > 0:18:32of both my traditional and some new contemporary songs.

0:18:57 > 0:19:01Yeah, I continue to act and play and try and do the two together.

0:19:51 > 0:19:54# When I wake up in the morning, love

0:19:56 > 0:19:59# And the sunlight hurts my eyes... #

0:20:19 > 0:20:22THEY CONVERSE IN SPANISH

0:23:55 > 0:23:57CHEERING AND APPLAUSE

0:24:02 > 0:24:04# I could blame our partin'

0:24:04 > 0:24:07# For the fact that I'm not startin' all my mornings

0:24:07 > 0:24:09# At the time they oughta start

0:24:09 > 0:24:13# And I could summon up the sisterhood cry

0:24:13 > 0:24:16# Lead me out of widowhood But that is melodrama

0:24:16 > 0:24:18# On my part

0:24:18 > 0:24:20# I could blame my grievin'

0:24:20 > 0:24:22# On the fact that I've been leavin' us

0:24:22 > 0:24:26# Behind the ones we were when this began

0:24:26 > 0:24:28# But I have rose-tinted us ruby

0:24:28 > 0:24:30# And I've conjured up a new me

0:24:30 > 0:24:35# Who went freely to her newly moulded man

0:24:35 > 0:24:37# But we bent and we broke

0:24:37 > 0:24:39# And I meant what I spoke

0:24:39 > 0:24:43# And the blame game does not produce a winner

0:24:43 > 0:24:45# We went as far as we could go

0:24:45 > 0:24:47# We had to go that far to know

0:24:47 > 0:24:49# That we had nowhere left to aim

0:24:49 > 0:24:52# And no-one left to blame

0:24:52 > 0:24:54# But the moon's wax and wane

0:24:54 > 0:24:55# And the turn of the tide

0:24:55 > 0:25:01# The moon's wax and wane And the turn of the tide

0:25:01 > 0:25:04# And I could blame my parents for my vices so inherent

0:25:04 > 0:25:08# That I cannot shake them Much as I may try

0:25:08 > 0:25:11# But how much have I inherited

0:25:11 > 0:25:13# Or picked up since I was a kid

0:25:13 > 0:25:16# That nature-versus-nurture paradigm

0:25:16 > 0:25:19# And I could blame wrong turns that I'd take

0:25:19 > 0:25:22# And decisions that my head makes

0:25:22 > 0:25:25# And trace each error right back to my heart

0:25:25 > 0:25:27# And is it broken cos you toyed with it

0:25:27 > 0:25:30# Or was it formed with a little split

0:25:30 > 0:25:33# That grows each year further and further apart?

0:25:33 > 0:25:36# But we love and we lose

0:25:36 > 0:25:39# And we lash out and we bruise

0:25:39 > 0:25:42# And the name of the game's just the livin'

0:25:42 > 0:25:44# We go as far as we can go

0:25:44 > 0:25:46# We've got to go that far to know

0:25:46 > 0:25:48# That we have everything to gain

0:25:48 > 0:25:50# By knowing we can blame

0:25:50 > 0:25:52# The moon's wax and wane

0:25:52 > 0:25:54# And the turn of the tide

0:25:54 > 0:25:56# The moon's wax and wane

0:25:56 > 0:25:59# And the turn of the tide

0:25:59 > 0:26:03# And so I look to karma And if I try not to harm another

0:26:03 > 0:26:07# I will not be harmed by anything

0:26:07 > 0:26:10# If I salute the magpie Knock on wood

0:26:10 > 0:26:12# Will I be doing any good?

0:26:12 > 0:26:15# Am I strung-up or do I pull the string?

0:26:15 > 0:26:19# Will the fact I cling too tightly to my dreams

0:26:19 > 0:26:20# Come back and bite me

0:26:20 > 0:26:23# Am I trying to make a science of an art?

0:26:23 > 0:26:27# And will the very fate I wish to woo

0:26:27 > 0:26:28# Be the one that I am due

0:26:28 > 0:26:33# By thinkin' I can steer this crazy god

0:26:33 > 0:26:35# But I'll live and learn

0:26:35 > 0:26:38# And I'll light and I'll burn

0:26:38 > 0:26:40# Till the flame simmers down

0:26:40 > 0:26:42# To a spark

0:26:42 > 0:26:46# I'll go as far as I can go

0:26:46 > 0:26:47# I've got to go that far to know

0:26:47 > 0:26:50# That I have everything to gain

0:26:50 > 0:26:52# By knowing I can't train

0:26:52 > 0:26:54# The moon's wax and wane

0:26:54 > 0:26:56# And the turn of the tide

0:26:56 > 0:26:58# The moon's wax and wane

0:26:58 > 0:27:01# And the turn of the tide

0:27:01 > 0:27:04# And I never said

0:27:04 > 0:27:09# I never said it was your fault

0:27:09 > 0:27:14# I only wanted to blame

0:27:14 > 0:27:18# Someone

0:27:18 > 0:27:21# I never said

0:27:21 > 0:27:26# It was your fault

0:27:26 > 0:27:29# I only wanted

0:27:29 > 0:27:33# The moon's wax and wane And the turn of the tide

0:27:33 > 0:27:35# It's the moon's wax and wane

0:27:35 > 0:27:37# And the turn of the tide

0:27:37 > 0:27:40# It's the moon's wax and wane

0:27:40 > 0:27:41# And the turn of the tide

0:27:41 > 0:27:43# It's the moon's wax and wane

0:27:43 > 0:27:48# And the turn of the tide. #
