0:15:13 > 0:15:17We just really felt like we wanted to do something different.

0:15:20 > 0:15:24and we've just carried on the same kind of songwriting process
0:15:24 > 0:15:27but wanted to add a different production edge to it.
0:15:27 > 0:15:30So we started to work with two producers - Peter McCauley
0:15:30 > 0:15:34and Matt Weir - so they're helping us take it in a new direction.

0:15:40 > 0:15:43It seems to be OK. It's the way we've always done it,
0:15:43 > 0:15:46so we've always written together and always been in bands together,
0:15:46 > 0:15:50so we're used to it and people seem to get on OK with us.
0:15:50 > 0:15:54Is there a danger, being involved with so many different projects,
0:15:54 > 0:15:58that you're spreading yourself too thin and that maybe one project
0:15:58 > 0:16:02will win over the others, that others might get neglected along the way?
0:16:02 > 0:16:05It's a good question. I think we just need to be focused.
0:16:05 > 0:16:08So at the minute this is what we're focusing on, New Portals.
0:16:08 > 0:16:12We may go back and do some more of The Jepettos, our folk stuff,
0:16:12 > 0:16:16but for now we're focused on this, so hopefully that'll help us.

0:16:19 > 0:16:21Where did you get that from?
0:16:21 > 0:16:23I'm not sure exactly where the name came from.
0:16:23 > 0:16:27I think we just thought portals were kind of a cool thing,
0:16:27 > 0:16:30as, like, a doorway to another dimension,
0:16:30 > 0:16:32and we just sort of thought music could be that.
0:16:32 > 0:16:34It is, certainly, to us
0:16:34 > 0:16:36whenever we listen to music, and I guess it is for most people.

0:16:38 > 0:16:44it can really help you sort of get into an ethereal sort of feel.
