0:00:12 > 0:00:15Oh, the Budget, that wasn't popular at all.

0:00:17 > 0:00:20I'm afraid we're going to have a lost generation.

0:00:20 > 0:00:23I've experienced it once in the '80s,

0:00:23 > 0:00:25and I can see it coming again,

0:00:25 > 0:00:28in fact, probably a lot worse than it was even then.

0:00:31 > 0:00:33Big challenges in the Valleys in particular.

0:00:33 > 0:00:37We're still living with the outcome of the closure of the mines

0:00:37 > 0:00:42and populations of people who are unemployed,

0:00:42 > 0:00:46and I think local Labour councillors are very aware of that.

0:00:48 > 0:00:52The Budget certainly didn't help families, not one little bit.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54Things are getting worse.

0:00:54 > 0:00:56In fact, it's getting harder every day for them.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00What with the cost of living rising,

0:01:00 > 0:01:04major factor in getting people to work, children to school,

0:01:04 > 0:01:06running your daily lives.

0:01:08 > 0:01:13The Labour Assembly has put its money where its mouth is

0:01:13 > 0:01:17and really come out in support

0:01:17 > 0:01:20of early years and further and higher education.

0:01:20 > 0:01:26And I'm very proud to be a citizen of Wales and Cardiff.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28The police cuts are not helping.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31People are extremely worried about their safety on the streets.

0:01:32 > 0:01:35When Labour were in power,

0:01:35 > 0:01:37they made sure that they invested in the police

0:01:37 > 0:01:41and they invested in bobbies on the beat.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44I don't think we should underestimate

0:01:44 > 0:01:47just how important free bus passes are.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49It's not just about travelling from A to B,

0:01:49 > 0:01:52but it's about encouraging people to get out

0:01:52 > 0:01:54and socialise and meet people.

0:01:56 > 0:02:00The council play an enormous part in keeping our streets clean,

0:02:00 > 0:02:05what with the street cleansing teams and the refuse collection,

0:02:05 > 0:02:06which is all done regularly.

0:02:23 > 0:02:25Well, May 3rd are council elections,

0:02:25 > 0:02:31and it's your golden opportunity to come and vote Labour.

0:02:31 > 0:02:36The Tories and the Lib Dems are really letting us all down.

0:02:36 > 0:02:40So I would say, May 3rd, vote Labour.
