0:00:02 > 0:00:04It's been a week that has seen the BBC bring us mammals in Mexico,

0:00:04 > 0:00:08intrigue in Ireland and even yodelling from Ukraine,

0:00:08 > 0:00:12so let me take you on a whistle-stop tour of your thoughts on the

0:00:12 > 0:00:14week's television programmes.

0:00:14 > 0:00:16Welcome to your Points Of View.

0:00:26 > 0:00:31First up this week, the harrowing true tale of three teenage girls

0:00:31 > 0:00:34at the centre of the Rochdale sexual abuse scandal.

0:00:39 > 0:00:43Unfolding over three nights on BBC One, the drama, Three Girls,

0:00:43 > 0:00:47took four years to research, write and produce, with programme makers

0:00:47 > 0:00:51carrying out multiple interviews with the victims and their families.

0:00:53 > 0:00:55- I can't talk here. - I want you to come home.

0:00:57 > 0:00:59- Please.- I've gone to the police.

0:01:01 > 0:01:06- I don't know what they're going to do to us.- Who? Who?- The men.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09They'll do nothing to us.

0:01:10 > 0:01:13It was, without doubt, difficult viewing but you were pleased

0:01:13 > 0:01:17to see the BBC bring the girl's stories to the small screen.

0:01:18 > 0:01:22I've just finished watching episode two of Three Girls.

0:01:22 > 0:01:25The first one was absolutely harrowing, heartbreaking,

0:01:25 > 0:01:30really difficult to watch but I stayed tuned, I stuck with it.

0:01:30 > 0:01:33Definitely worth a watch but it will make you angry, it will make

0:01:33 > 0:01:37you sad but it highlights an issue and, unfortunately, it's real.

0:01:37 > 0:01:38This did happen.

0:01:55 > 0:01:59You were also full of admiration for the series cast.

0:02:06 > 0:02:11All three episodes of Three Girls are available on the iPlayer.

0:02:11 > 0:02:15Monday night saw BBC One under doctor's orders again

0:02:15 > 0:02:18as Dr Rangan Chaterjee set-off on his rounds for a new series

0:02:18 > 0:02:20of Doctor In The House.

0:02:21 > 0:02:25The show sees the GP spend time with chronically ill patients hoping

0:02:25 > 0:02:29to find better long-term solutions to their conditions.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32In Monday's episode, he met mum of two Gemma, who doctors had

0:02:32 > 0:02:36diagnosed as suffering from cluster headaches, often

0:02:36 > 0:02:41referred to as suicide headaches because of their excruciating pain.

0:02:41 > 0:02:43I think this is her fourth one today.

0:02:43 > 0:02:45WOMAN CRIES

0:02:47 > 0:02:50I've never seen anything like this.

0:02:50 > 0:02:54Actually, it's a superhuman effort to actually have got used to this

0:02:54 > 0:02:58and she'll probably walk out in a minute and just be absolutely fine.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04Dr Chatterjee's bedside manner proved the perfect tonic for some.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16However, the programme prompted criticism from those with

0:03:16 > 0:03:19first-hand experience of cluster headaches.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22Several disagreeing with Gemma's diagnosis.

0:03:54 > 0:03:57After Dr Chatterjee placed Gemma on a restricted diet,

0:03:57 > 0:04:00worked to improve her stress levels and sent her to

0:04:00 > 0:04:04a chiropractor specialising in neurology, at the end of

0:04:04 > 0:04:09Monday's episode, Gemma was seen showing signs of improvement.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13I can't remember it being as good as this.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16The only time it's been better than this has been when I was pregnant

0:04:16 > 0:04:18and I didn't have them.

0:04:18 > 0:04:21Those of you living with the condition felt that was irresponsible.

0:04:34 > 0:04:37To imply that a change of diet,

0:04:37 > 0:04:40a reduction of stress and a bit of help with neck problems is

0:04:40 > 0:04:45the solution, will turn the little sympathy we cluster heads get

0:04:45 > 0:04:47into intolerance.

0:04:47 > 0:04:51How can I and others ever believe what we'll see again on

0:04:51 > 0:04:54Doctor In The House? Shame on you, BBC.

0:04:55 > 0:04:59We put all of those comments to the makers of Doctor In The House.

0:04:59 > 0:05:01They said...

0:05:38 > 0:05:42To the mesmerising landscapes of Mexico next.

0:05:45 > 0:05:48With a sparse yet soothing voice-over

0:05:48 > 0:05:51by World Service presenter Eliud Gabriel Porras,

0:05:51 > 0:05:54BBC Two's Mexico: Earth's Festival Of Life

0:05:54 > 0:05:59has been revealing the diversity of life in the Latin American country.

0:05:59 > 0:06:02Last Sunday's second episode focused on the forest of the

0:06:02 > 0:06:06Yucatan and featured the hidden inhabitants of its caves.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10More than 3 million bats exit the cave.

0:06:10 > 0:06:13MUSIC PLAYS

0:06:22 > 0:06:28Those bats apparently consuming around 30 tonnes of insects each night.

0:06:28 > 0:06:30You've been spellbound.

0:06:30 > 0:06:32The commentary is brilliant.

0:06:32 > 0:06:36What a beautiful voice and I'm enjoying learning something

0:06:36 > 0:06:38new each time.

0:06:38 > 0:06:40The photography is outstanding.

0:06:48 > 0:06:50Careful, Tim. They might hear you.

0:06:56 > 0:06:57I sense a "but" coming up.

0:07:10 > 0:07:13And that's got to be the most common complaint we get

0:07:13 > 0:07:14on Points Of View.

0:07:14 > 0:07:16Will programme makers never learn?

0:07:16 > 0:07:21Now, Monday night saw BBC Two back on Mexican territory.

0:07:21 > 0:07:25This time aiming to uncover what happened to creatures of the

0:07:25 > 0:07:29prehistoric kind in The Day The Dinosaurs Died.

0:07:31 > 0:07:35As paleopathologist Alice Roberts travelled the globe searching

0:07:35 > 0:07:39for evidence, biologist Ben Garrod joined a drilling

0:07:39 > 0:07:44expedition in the Gulf of Mexico at the site of an asteroid impact

0:07:44 > 0:07:48experts believe could be to blame for dinosaurs becoming extinct.

0:07:49 > 0:07:52This, along with other core samples like it, can tell the team

0:07:52 > 0:07:56so much information about what was going on at the time of the impact.

0:07:56 > 0:07:59This one appears to be a seismic hit.

0:08:14 > 0:08:19But not everyone was impressed by the presenters and scientist's enthusiasm.

0:08:38 > 0:08:41Actually, our crack team of researchers counted more

0:08:41 > 0:08:43hyperbole in total, Bill.

0:08:43 > 0:08:45- Incredible.- Just extraordinary.

0:08:45 > 0:08:49- Amazing. Astonishing, huge... - Absolutely enormous. Fantastic.

0:09:02 > 0:09:05At least there weren't any mispronunciations.

0:09:05 > 0:09:07Let's not get started on that one again.

0:09:07 > 0:09:10Moving slightly closer to home, two of EastEnders'

0:09:10 > 0:09:14best loved characters were back on our screens this week,

0:09:14 > 0:09:17turning up in the fictional Irish coastal town of Redwater.

0:09:19 > 0:09:21Spin-off series, Kat and Alfie: Redwater

0:09:21 > 0:09:27sees Kat Moon and husband, Alfie, searching for Cat's long lost son in Ireland.

0:09:27 > 0:09:30We headed to the Emerald Isle, Belfast, to be precise,

0:09:30 > 0:09:34to get some EastEnders fans thoughts on episode one.

0:09:34 > 0:09:37Because Kat and Alfie were two of my favourite parts in EastEnders,

0:09:37 > 0:09:40when they left, us as a family were very gutted.

0:09:40 > 0:09:42I think it's really good because we're going to see what their

0:09:42 > 0:09:45next part was, what actually happened with them.

0:09:45 > 0:09:47I'm sure it's weird for them not being in Walford any more but

0:09:47 > 0:09:50it's going to be really nice seeing a new location and

0:09:50 > 0:09:52a new storyline altogether.

0:09:56 > 0:09:59You have Peter's house, don't you?

0:09:59 > 0:10:02If you have any problems, he's always in the pub.

0:10:02 > 0:10:04Typical Irishman, eh?

0:10:04 > 0:10:05He's the landlord.

0:10:06 > 0:10:11Alfie, a wee bit greyer, Kat more of a mother figure as opposed to

0:10:11 > 0:10:14the party girl that she was.

0:10:14 > 0:10:18- Very dramatic, very unexpected but I really enjoyed it.- Loads of drama.

0:10:19 > 0:10:21Really intense and really catching.

0:10:21 > 0:10:24Now, this is what we're going to do.

0:10:25 > 0:10:26- We're going to go down.- No!

0:10:31 > 0:10:32You don't want to go down.

0:10:33 > 0:10:38So many mysterious twists, turns and secrets.

0:10:38 > 0:10:41There's a huge reveal in the middle of the show.

0:10:41 > 0:10:45It's something that you wouldn't have expected.

0:10:45 > 0:10:49They seem to be kind of more quiet and content with life but

0:10:49 > 0:10:52then you see they just react the way they always did because

0:10:52 > 0:10:54- that's the way they are.- Tommy?

0:10:54 > 0:10:58This ain't our house so if you break anything, hide it.

0:10:58 > 0:11:02A brilliant episode to watch and you just need to be prepared for

0:11:02 > 0:11:05all these twists and turns that they're going to show you as the

0:11:05 > 0:11:06series goes on.

0:11:06 > 0:11:09I'll be watching all the episodes and I'm really looking forward to

0:11:09 > 0:11:12seeing them all and to see how the whole thing unravels.

0:11:12 > 0:11:14I'm really going to be tuning in for the next episode.

0:11:14 > 0:11:16I'm going to be really excited because I'm really intrigued

0:11:16 > 0:11:18to see what's going to happen.

0:11:18 > 0:11:21Redwater is back on BBC One on Thursday night.

0:11:21 > 0:11:25Next, bopping brides, yodelling rappers and dancing gorillas.

0:11:25 > 0:11:27It can only mean one thing.

0:11:28 > 0:11:32Eurovision had it all and more last Saturday night as the show

0:11:32 > 0:11:36was beamed live from Kiev to an estimated worldwide audience

0:11:36 > 0:11:38of 200 million viewers.

0:11:38 > 0:11:42In the end, Lucy Jones, the UK entry, came a respectable 15th,

0:11:42 > 0:11:45while Portugal lifted the trophy with this ballad.

0:11:47 > 0:11:50HE SINGS IN PORTUGUSE

0:11:55 > 0:11:58Well, the results of the viewer's jury are in.

0:12:17 > 0:12:21But several of you awarded Graham Norton nil pointe for his commentary.

0:12:39 > 0:12:42And not everyone felt Portugal's entry was a worthy winner.

0:12:57 > 0:13:00That's it for this week but if you see something you love or

0:13:00 > 0:13:03loathe across the BBC's television channels in the next few days,
