0:00:20 > 0:00:22Oh, my God. What's he done?

0:00:22 > 0:00:24He just took my dress!

0:00:24 > 0:00:28These fair maidens are bound by contract to be legally wedded...

0:00:28 > 0:00:29Oh... No.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32..but have no say in their big day.

0:00:32 > 0:00:34Is it just going to all be last-minute and just...rubbish?

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Can these hapless heroes marshal their armies...

0:00:41 > 0:00:43She's a bitch when she's like this.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45..vanquish dragons...

0:00:45 > 0:00:46Oh...!

0:00:46 > 0:00:48Do as your future mother-in-law tells you.

0:01:02 > 0:01:04David and twin brother Owen plan

0:01:04 > 0:01:07the ultimate dance extravaganza for full-time mum Kelly...

0:01:07 > 0:01:09Good boy...!

0:01:09 > 0:01:12I'm trying to make a samba flash mob dance.

0:01:12 > 0:01:16..while she's dreaming of a small, intimate affair.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18It's not over the top. It's very country.

0:01:18 > 0:01:20I go to the city and I find it really scary.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22Can these terrible twins...

0:01:22 > 0:01:25The first thing you want to do is think big...

0:01:25 > 0:01:27..create a welcome surprise...

0:01:27 > 0:01:28I love it!

0:01:28 > 0:01:31..and drum up something spectacular?

0:01:31 > 0:01:33I don't want a whole big show.

0:01:33 > 0:01:34Owen, can you hear me?

0:01:34 > 0:01:36Or will this show fall flat on its face?

0:01:36 > 0:01:39He's let us both down, to be honest.

0:01:39 > 0:01:42Can David prove he's got the moves to pull off a wedding

0:01:42 > 0:01:44fit for his bride?

0:01:44 > 0:01:48Or will his dancing dreams turn to disaster?

0:01:48 > 0:01:50It might look lovely.

0:01:50 > 0:01:53- Oh, that's horrible. - Even I wouldn't wear that at 50.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56Aw... She's crying again.

0:02:07 > 0:02:1327-year-old Kelly and 31-year-old David first found love online.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15We met on a dating website.

0:02:15 > 0:02:17Arranged to go tenpin bowling for our first date -

0:02:17 > 0:02:20which was a bit of a disaster.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22David turned up looking like a total tramp.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24He was wearing gross flappy shoes that were talking,

0:02:24 > 0:02:28dirty trousers, and a cardigan.

0:02:28 > 0:02:30- Why men wear cardigans... - My mum bought it.

0:02:30 > 0:02:34David's dress sense might not have been striking...

0:02:34 > 0:02:36but SOMETHING bowled Kelly over.

0:02:36 > 0:02:38- Personality shone beyond clothes. - Definitely.

0:02:38 > 0:02:41- It was a disaster, but it was a great disaster.- Exactly.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44He was cheeky, and happy.

0:02:46 > 0:02:49And he was just... You know, it was really fun.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51I felt something from the moment I saw her.

0:02:51 > 0:02:53It all felt right, you know,

0:02:53 > 0:02:56and I knew there was going to be something good come of it.

0:02:57 > 0:03:00Today, David and Kelly live in domestic bliss in Somerset,

0:03:00 > 0:03:02along with eight-year-old Anna,

0:03:02 > 0:03:03six-year-old Louis,

0:03:03 > 0:03:07four-year-old Honor and newest arrival, baby Sonny.

0:03:08 > 0:03:11- Our life together is crazy! - Manic, yeah.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16Kelly and David have children from previous relationships.

0:03:16 > 0:03:18But neither have been married before.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22So getting hitched will make them one big family.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24Four's a handful, but it's a good handful.

0:03:24 > 0:03:27With four children, life just isn't quiet.

0:03:27 > 0:03:30There's no such thing as rest. There's always something going.

0:03:32 > 0:03:34- I'm the boss. - Yeah, Kelly's the boss.

0:03:34 > 0:03:35Kelly rules the roost.

0:03:35 > 0:03:39But she doesn't just have four kids to look after.

0:03:39 > 0:03:43There's a fifth big kid in this house - and she's marrying him.

0:03:43 > 0:03:46I'm not really so much a parent, I'm like a big kid at times now,

0:03:46 > 0:03:50I like to kind of act like them, I like to muck about.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52So it's good, really because Kelly is the stable one,

0:03:52 > 0:03:56Kelly keeps them on the straight and narrow. Like she does myself.

0:03:56 > 0:04:00David is like my fifth child because he acts like a kid.

0:04:00 > 0:04:01I DO do a lot for him.

0:04:01 > 0:04:05I love the fact that she is caring, a sensitive person.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07It helps that I stay quite positive

0:04:07 > 0:04:09because it keeps her going at the end of the day.

0:04:09 > 0:04:13And I think without that we wouldn't be the couple we are today, really.

0:04:18 > 0:04:22Life for this couple hasn't been without hardship.

0:04:22 > 0:04:27At 16, Kelly was diagnosed with bone cancer in her right leg.

0:04:27 > 0:04:30I think I've had like, 26 operations in total now.

0:04:30 > 0:04:34I had to have the knee joint and the femur replaced.

0:04:37 > 0:04:39They weren't sure at the time obviously

0:04:39 > 0:04:42whether they were going to be able to save the leg.

0:04:42 > 0:04:49Fortunately for me, I survived. So I'm very, very lucky to be here.

0:04:49 > 0:04:50Very lucky.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53But any decisions or any choices

0:04:53 > 0:04:55that I wanted to make with my life were taken away.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59I did want to be a dancer for many years.

0:05:00 > 0:05:04After 16 I guess everything just went out the window.

0:05:10 > 0:05:14Kelly's childhood dream of being a dancer

0:05:14 > 0:05:17was shattered when she found a tumour in her leg.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20She was one of the first people in Britain to have a successful

0:05:20 > 0:05:25bone transplant, and against the odds she kept her leg.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27But there is a risk the cancer will return.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33Just constantly worrying about, is it going to come back?

0:05:33 > 0:05:36It's looking OK. We need to keep a close eye on you, though.

0:05:36 > 0:05:38'I've had a tumour removed in the last three years,

0:05:38 > 0:05:41'which was cancerous.'

0:05:41 > 0:05:44I worry, you know, if anything DOES happen, you know,

0:05:44 > 0:05:45I've got four children -

0:05:45 > 0:05:48that my children are going to be

0:05:48 > 0:05:49looked after well.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53I'm extremely proud of Kelly because every day is a struggle,

0:05:53 > 0:05:55is a fight to get through the pain.

0:05:55 > 0:05:57It could come back.

0:05:57 > 0:05:59I've never been with Kelly

0:05:59 > 0:06:02when she's had an operation or the cancer's come back,

0:06:02 > 0:06:07but she trusts me to look after her, her kids, and

0:06:07 > 0:06:10if she needs me, I'M there.

0:06:12 > 0:06:15David wasn't with Kelly when she began her battle with cancer.

0:06:15 > 0:06:19But today, he does everything he can to support her.

0:06:19 > 0:06:22David helps me in my everyday life - he helps me put my socks on,

0:06:22 > 0:06:24he does up my shoelaces.

0:06:25 > 0:06:28He carries me upstairs to bed obviously if I'm tired

0:06:28 > 0:06:31and my legs are, you know, really bad.

0:06:31 > 0:06:34He's loving, thoughtful,

0:06:34 > 0:06:37and always thinking about others before himself.

0:06:37 > 0:06:39He's the only person that I can rely on.

0:06:39 > 0:06:41Apart from my family,

0:06:41 > 0:06:44I know that if anything happened to me,

0:06:44 > 0:06:46he will be there

0:06:46 > 0:06:48no matter what.

0:06:53 > 0:06:56- Marriage is a big thing... - It's a lifelong commitment, yeah.

0:06:56 > 0:06:59..a lifelong commitment in my eyes, and it's something I only do once.

0:06:59 > 0:07:02And I only do it with the person that I feel it should be with and...

0:07:02 > 0:07:04lucky for Kelly it's her.

0:07:04 > 0:07:05Eh?

0:07:05 > 0:07:08Now, David's planning to pull out all the stops

0:07:08 > 0:07:12and show Kelly just how much she means to him.

0:07:12 > 0:07:15I want to do the best for Kelly, this day is about her.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18And that's why I've chose to go down the routes of doing what I'm doing.

0:07:18 > 0:07:21All these elements I'm doing are things that she enjoys,

0:07:21 > 0:07:24you know, and I just want to make it a day that she'll never forget.

0:07:24 > 0:07:26Cos she's had enough hardship in life.

0:07:26 > 0:07:30Kelly has dreamt about her wedding day since she was a little girl,

0:07:30 > 0:07:32and knows exactly what she wants.

0:07:32 > 0:07:36More importantly, she knows what she DOESN'T.

0:07:36 > 0:07:39I don't want a big show. The thought of walking down the aisle scares me.

0:07:39 > 0:07:41I don't like the idea of everybody looking at me.

0:07:41 > 0:07:43I was pretty much centre of attention

0:07:43 > 0:07:45but for all the wrong reasons.

0:07:45 > 0:07:48Everybody knows me as the girl that's got cancer or the girl

0:07:48 > 0:07:50that was poorly or "That's Kelly who's got the bad leg" -

0:07:50 > 0:07:54I'd just like to be just Kelly... Just have something normal.

0:07:54 > 0:07:57So Kelly wants a small, private ceremony,

0:07:57 > 0:08:01where she can forget about her problems and feel comfortable.

0:08:01 > 0:08:04Sounds easy. Surely David can't mess THAT up?

0:08:04 > 0:08:07I'm going to make this wedding spectacular and different,

0:08:07 > 0:08:11I'm going to try and make it a big show of...affection, love, dance,

0:08:11 > 0:08:16all mashed into one, to try and... make it that day that

0:08:16 > 0:08:19isn't really the normal wedding day but a day that everyone there,

0:08:19 > 0:08:21and obviously Kelly, will never forget.

0:08:22 > 0:08:26Well, I sort of know exactly what Kelly wants. Kelly loves to dance.

0:08:26 > 0:08:29My idea is a big flash mob dance wedding theme -

0:08:29 > 0:08:32Latin American dancing, and loud music going on as she walks in...

0:08:32 > 0:08:35I want to make her quite a big entrance, you know,

0:08:35 > 0:08:38glitzy and glamorous. I want to make it big.

0:08:38 > 0:08:40I will do everything for Kelly to make HER happy.

0:08:40 > 0:08:43Kelly will be proud at what I've put together,

0:08:43 > 0:08:47and it's something that she will always remember in a...good way.

0:08:47 > 0:08:52David wants a great big flash mob wedding he THINKS Kelly deserves.

0:08:52 > 0:08:54But is it right for HER?

0:08:54 > 0:08:55It would just be nice to just be normal,

0:08:55 > 0:08:59and have a normal day - which obviously my life hasn't been.

0:08:59 > 0:09:01It's just been one roller-coaster,

0:09:01 > 0:09:06and I just think something nice and simple would just be...lovely.

0:09:06 > 0:09:09But it looks like "simple" simply isn't happening.

0:09:09 > 0:09:12I'm only ever going to get married once,

0:09:12 > 0:09:16and it's the only time that I can be the princess for the day.

0:09:16 > 0:09:20So if he gets that wrong, then I'm going to be really upset.

0:09:22 > 0:09:27It's time for Kelly and David to say goodbye.

0:09:27 > 0:09:28- Beautiful bag.- Suits you!

0:09:28 > 0:09:31You know you're going to miss me, don't you really?

0:09:31 > 0:09:34- I'm not going to miss you(!) - Give it a couple of days...

0:09:35 > 0:09:39The next time they see each other will be in three weeks,

0:09:39 > 0:09:41on their wedding day.

0:09:41 > 0:09:43- Love you. - Love you. I'll see you later.

0:09:43 > 0:09:46- Right, in you go. - Have a good few weeks.- I will.

0:09:46 > 0:09:49David is moving out of the family home.

0:09:49 > 0:09:52It will be the longest he's ever spent away from Kelly,

0:09:52 > 0:09:54and his first time away from the children.

0:09:54 > 0:09:58They WILL miss me, and Kelly will miss me the most. She won't want to admit it.

0:09:58 > 0:10:00But I'm not going to get too downbeat and too upset about it,

0:10:00 > 0:10:02because the whole process will be worth it.

0:10:02 > 0:10:04The stress of what I'm doing,

0:10:04 > 0:10:07the fact that I'm not going to see the kids or Kelly, you know,

0:10:07 > 0:10:11it's all going be worth it come the end of it. At least I hope it is when I...

0:10:11 > 0:10:14produce something special. In a good way, hopefully.

0:10:14 > 0:10:17For the next three weeks,

0:10:17 > 0:10:21David will be staying with his best man, Owen, who's a lot like him.

0:10:21 > 0:10:24Well, they're identical twins, so he's exactly like him.

0:10:24 > 0:10:26Apart from half an ear.

0:10:26 > 0:10:28Basically, you know,

0:10:28 > 0:10:32obviously she's entrusted you of all people

0:10:32 > 0:10:34to create the day of her dreams. We shall see.

0:10:34 > 0:10:37- Yeah, yeah.- Yeah.- See how helpful you are first.

0:10:37 > 0:10:39I'm going to be very helpful. Very, very helpful.

0:10:39 > 0:10:41- I'll show you to your room. - With David out the picture...

0:10:41 > 0:10:45- Hi!- Give us a hug.- ..Kelly's mum, Sue, pops round

0:10:45 > 0:10:47to see how she's getting on.

0:10:47 > 0:10:51- How exciting is this going to be? - KELLY LAUGHS

0:10:51 > 0:10:53How do you feel about him leaving?

0:10:53 > 0:10:57The fact that we haven't ever spent more than three days,

0:10:57 > 0:11:01it's going to be a test for him, obviously, planning the wedding,

0:11:01 > 0:11:04but, obviously, a test for our relationship as well.

0:11:04 > 0:11:08- Yeah. What do you think he's got planned?- Erm...

0:11:08 > 0:11:12Let's just hope it's not going to be a massive day,

0:11:12 > 0:11:17- because he thinks I deserve the best day that...- And quite rightly so.

0:11:17 > 0:11:19- So you do. - KELLY LAUGHS

0:11:19 > 0:11:22I've realised now I'm not going to see him for three weeks.

0:11:22 > 0:11:24It's... I think it's going to be really hard.

0:11:24 > 0:11:26Day one of wedding planning.

0:11:26 > 0:11:29Time to get his best men on board

0:11:29 > 0:11:31with the massive flash mob wedding plan.

0:11:31 > 0:11:34So what the plan is, silly as it sounds,

0:11:34 > 0:11:37it's...it's, basically, revolving around dance.

0:11:37 > 0:11:40A dance wedding theme. It could be quite big and grand.

0:11:40 > 0:11:44I want to try and get a grand entrance for when she walks in,

0:11:44 > 0:11:46so maybe a big band and some dancing going on

0:11:46 > 0:11:50as she walks down the aisle, involve a flash mob dancing somewhere.

0:11:50 > 0:11:54Well, yeah, I mean, there's not many weddings have that sort of theme,

0:11:54 > 0:11:58but if that's what you want to go for then, yeah, fair enough.

0:11:58 > 0:12:02- But that sounds like it's going to be quite elaborate.- It's going to be a bit of a struggle.

0:12:02 > 0:12:05Knowing David, nothing seems to really ever work how it should.

0:12:05 > 0:12:08David's organisational skills are pretty poor.

0:12:08 > 0:12:12He couldn't organise a sock drawer, let alone, you know, a wedding.

0:12:12 > 0:12:14So what's your first plan?

0:12:14 > 0:12:17Well, I think the first plan is obviously to look at venues,

0:12:17 > 0:12:20and try and sort out a place that can do what I want.

0:12:20 > 0:12:24Twin brother, Owen, might not be totally down with the big dance idea

0:12:24 > 0:12:26but hasn't put David off.

0:12:26 > 0:12:29First up, to ensure that key element of surprise,

0:12:29 > 0:12:32he needs to find a public space big and busy enough

0:12:32 > 0:12:35to hide all the dancers and guests.

0:12:35 > 0:12:39So where better to start than the city centre of Exeter?

0:12:39 > 0:12:42Over there, that's the perfect place to have it. There's a big old space there.

0:12:42 > 0:12:45There will be a lot of people here shopping as it's a Saturday,

0:12:45 > 0:12:48so I'm looking at spaces that are going to be able to house it,

0:12:48 > 0:12:50cos it's not just going to be our guests, there'll be shoppers,

0:12:50 > 0:12:53so there'll be people fascinated by what's going on.

0:12:53 > 0:12:56So it's going add to that huge element of...the grand scheme.

0:12:56 > 0:12:59So, like I say, up there.

0:12:59 > 0:13:02While David adds hundreds of random passers-by to the guest list,

0:13:02 > 0:13:0745 miles away Kelly has come to see the type of exclusive venue

0:13:07 > 0:13:10she wants for her family-focus day.

0:13:10 > 0:13:13She's at Haselbury Mill in rural Somerset,

0:13:13 > 0:13:18along with mum, Sue, sister, Kylie, and bridesmaids, Tommi and Chantelle.

0:13:18 > 0:13:22- How beautiful is this?- You imagine that all decked out with some nice pretty lights.

0:13:22 > 0:13:25- With fairy lights. Lots of fairy lights.- Yeah, lots of fairy light.

0:13:25 > 0:13:28- With flowers.- Come on, let's go.- I love it.

0:13:28 > 0:13:30I love the sound of the water as well,

0:13:30 > 0:13:33which is really tranquil and just like nature.

0:13:33 > 0:13:35It's just... Oh!

0:13:35 > 0:13:38We're country girls,

0:13:38 > 0:13:40it's just in-built, isn't it?

0:13:40 > 0:13:43You know, like I go to the city and I find it really scary.

0:13:43 > 0:13:45- Yeah.- I do find it really scary.

0:13:45 > 0:13:47It is scary,

0:13:47 > 0:13:49it's full of people and loud noises,

0:13:49 > 0:13:51just like her wedding will be.

0:13:51 > 0:13:54And how I see it, is we're going to be using this space.

0:13:54 > 0:13:58And David's found the perfect spot for his city-centre flash mob.

0:13:58 > 0:14:02Kelly can be led to here, maybe cos she's the centre of attention there could be a big chair.

0:14:02 > 0:14:05The first thing you want to do is think big. What you want rather than a big chair

0:14:05 > 0:14:09is maybe if the flash mob could come into her, you know, when you see that they pick people up.

0:14:09 > 0:14:12Yeah, they can come in from behind her. There'll be so much dancing going on,

0:14:12 > 0:14:14she ain't going to see the people coming in from behind.

0:14:14 > 0:14:18If I can pull this off, it will show Kelly how much I want to spend rest of my life with her.

0:14:18 > 0:14:21And it would just be something special knowing I'd done this for her.

0:14:21 > 0:14:24Doing it big would just really prove how much I love her.

0:14:24 > 0:14:28As David gets excited in the hustle and bustle of Exeter,

0:14:28 > 0:14:31the girls step into a 300-year-old medieval barn,

0:14:31 > 0:14:37- perfect for the private reception Kelly wants.- Look at all the lights! It's got fairy light.- Oh, wow!

0:14:37 > 0:14:40Oh, this is beautiful!

0:14:40 > 0:14:43It's not over the top, it's very...it's very country.

0:14:43 > 0:14:49It's very intimate, I think, and just...just, yeah, really romantic.

0:14:49 > 0:14:51- We can dream.- Yeah.

0:14:51 > 0:14:54- I doubt he's got anything like this. - Right.

0:14:54 > 0:14:58- So there's just no point us stressing about it.- No.

0:14:58 > 0:15:01- No. Oh. - KELLY LAUGHS

0:15:01 > 0:15:03- What happens if it's really awful? - It's not going to be.

0:15:03 > 0:15:06It might not be something like this, Kelly,

0:15:06 > 0:15:08- but whatever he does, it will be you and David.- Yeah.

0:15:08 > 0:15:13Yep, you, David and the rest of Exeter.

0:15:13 > 0:15:17But first, he needs to get permission from the biggest shopping centre in the city

0:15:17 > 0:15:22for a spontaneous flash-mob wedding and with a huge samba band and dancers

0:15:22 > 0:15:24on the busiest shopping day of the week.

0:15:24 > 0:15:26Good luck with that, boys.

0:15:26 > 0:15:30I don't think they've ever put a wedding on in here, but all we can do is ask.

0:15:30 > 0:15:32- Would you like to come through? - Thanks very much.

0:15:32 > 0:15:37If David can't sell his big idea, it'll be back to the drawing board.

0:15:37 > 0:15:39How I've sort of envisaged what's going on,

0:15:39 > 0:15:42I'm trying to make a samba-flash-mob dance.

0:15:42 > 0:15:46So my partner would be led into the square there,

0:15:46 > 0:15:49all my guests and that would be hidden behind shops or inside shops,

0:15:49 > 0:15:53and then I'll have dancers, hopefully, booked to start.

0:15:53 > 0:15:56They'll reveal themselves and start dancing,

0:15:56 > 0:16:00and then all the friends and family will come out the shops, you know, and things like that,

0:16:00 > 0:16:03- and it'll all lead to one big sort of procession.- How many people

0:16:03 > 0:16:05do you envisage being involved with the samba band?

0:16:07 > 0:16:1020-40, I think.

0:16:10 > 0:16:12- Yeah.- Hmm.

0:16:14 > 0:16:18- The thing is, we've got residents who live around there.- The band itself might only be

0:16:18 > 0:16:21- a matter of five or six people, you know, hopefully.- OK.

0:16:21 > 0:16:24And then, obviously, it's just the dancers and the procession that follows.

0:16:24 > 0:16:28You see, I don't know what we can and can't do, but that's the idea I had.

0:16:30 > 0:16:32Or can you just tell me what space I can use?

0:16:34 > 0:16:37As the whole wedding hangs in the balance,

0:16:37 > 0:16:41back in Somerset Kelly's fears are growing.

0:16:41 > 0:16:45I would feel really awkward having to say what I need to say to David

0:16:45 > 0:16:49- in front of all my family and friends.- That's the whole point.- No. - I want to see you get married.

0:16:49 > 0:16:53- I don't want a whole big show. - It isn't a show, it's a wedding.

0:16:53 > 0:16:58I need to know how much he loves you and you love him. That's why people watch you getting married, Kel.

0:16:58 > 0:17:01I don't want the big fuss, I don't want everybody looking at me.

0:17:01 > 0:17:03I'm worried that we'll get there, everybody will be looking,

0:17:03 > 0:17:06- and I'm not going be able to get anything out.- You will.

0:17:06 > 0:17:09I find it hard telling him how much I love him every day,

0:17:09 > 0:17:11let alone in front of 100 or whatever people.

0:17:11 > 0:17:15But I want to see David tell me that he's going to look after you for the rest of his life.

0:17:15 > 0:17:18- That's what I want to see.- Yeah, I do understand that.

0:17:18 > 0:17:23Cos we've done this for 28 years, I want to see David do it.

0:17:23 > 0:17:26- Oh!- Who said...?- You're such a twat!

0:17:26 > 0:17:28LAUGHTER

0:17:28 > 0:17:31- Come on. - LAUGHTER

0:17:35 > 0:17:37You're my sister, I love you,

0:17:37 > 0:17:40I want to see the man you're going to marry look after you properly,

0:17:40 > 0:17:45cos I've been doing it for 20 years and I want David to do it properly now.

0:17:45 > 0:17:49You know, I've got to hand it over to him now, that's what we do.

0:17:49 > 0:17:50BOTH SOB

0:17:50 > 0:17:54David has a lot to prove to Kelly and her family.

0:17:54 > 0:17:57But has he done enough to convince the shopping centre

0:17:57 > 0:18:00to give the green light to his elaborate wedding plan?

0:18:00 > 0:18:03- We would definitely know the numbers by the end of this week.- Yeah.

0:18:03 > 0:18:07Numbers of dancers and numbers of guests. So, is that good enough?

0:18:11 > 0:18:14Princesshay Square is available.

0:18:14 > 0:18:15But we'll have to firm that up

0:18:15 > 0:18:19- after we've had a discussion about what we can do and whether it's all feasible.- Yeah.

0:18:19 > 0:18:25- But at the moment I would say, yes, it's free.- Brilliant!- So, it's free for your use as it stands..

0:18:25 > 0:18:27I could take my clothes off and run through the street naked.

0:18:27 > 0:18:30- I feel quite happy now.- I dare you. - I won't.- Go on.

0:18:31 > 0:18:36The flash-mob location is on and, luckily, so are David's clothes.

0:18:36 > 0:18:39Next up, finding a second venue

0:18:39 > 0:18:42for a spectacular Latin dance themed reception.

0:18:42 > 0:18:48Look at the lights they've got, you might be able to look into hiring disco balls.

0:18:48 > 0:18:51- It looks quite good from up here, doesn't it?- Yeah, it looks nice here.

0:18:51 > 0:18:53Like you say, there's plenty of potential.

0:18:53 > 0:18:55The Guildhall is hitting the mark with David.

0:18:55 > 0:18:59Time for a chat with the manager to see what can and can't be done with the space.

0:18:59 > 0:19:02- The stage, is that all right to be used?- That's all in with the hirer, yeah.- Yeah.

0:19:02 > 0:19:06- If I can maybe incorporate something at the top and then use the top as well?- That's all included.

0:19:06 > 0:19:08- Brilliant.- Yeah, brilliant.- Lovely.

0:19:08 > 0:19:10- See you soon.- Cheers. Thank you very much.- Bye-bye.- Bye.

0:19:10 > 0:19:14David bags the hall for just £468.

0:19:14 > 0:19:18And with a registry office booked for the legal ceremony,

0:19:18 > 0:19:21after a successful day the boys head for the beach to relax.

0:19:23 > 0:19:25At least there's a wedding and a reception in place.

0:19:25 > 0:19:28Well done anyway. That's all I've got to say. Congratulations.

0:19:28 > 0:19:31- There we go.- Place booked.- Yeah. - Let's do the rest.- Finally done something. That's it.

0:19:31 > 0:19:35David's big day inspired by Kelly's dancing dream

0:19:35 > 0:19:37is starting to take shape.

0:19:37 > 0:19:42But all Kelly wants is a day that doesn't remind her of her condition.

0:19:42 > 0:19:44It was...terrifying.

0:19:44 > 0:19:48- Yeah.- For me it is anyway.- Yeah. It was 136 stitches, wasn't it?- Yeah.

0:19:48 > 0:19:52I still find it really upsetting, to be honest with you.

0:19:52 > 0:19:54Is not so much everything I've been through,

0:19:54 > 0:19:56it's everything that I'm going to go through for the rest my life.

0:19:56 > 0:19:59I don't know if the cancer will come back. They don't know either,

0:19:59 > 0:20:02which I think that's the thing that scares me the most,

0:20:02 > 0:20:05- is they just don't know, do they? - They don't know.

0:20:05 > 0:20:07Whatever happens in the future,

0:20:07 > 0:20:12I know if I get poorly again, or if the leg has to come off, or anything like that,

0:20:12 > 0:20:14I know that he'll be there.

0:20:14 > 0:20:17- OK.- That's why I'm marrying him.

0:20:19 > 0:20:22But mum, Sue, will still take some convincing.

0:20:22 > 0:20:26I am...very, very protective of Kelly.

0:20:26 > 0:20:30And I just need to know that he can step up to the mark,

0:20:30 > 0:20:35because I'm not sure David quite understands yet what it's all about.

0:20:35 > 0:20:38I just need to know he will look after her.

0:20:38 > 0:20:44If David can pull this wedding off, to make it all about Kelly and her day,

0:20:44 > 0:20:48then that will prove to myself and the rest of the family

0:20:48 > 0:20:51that he's actually good enough for her.

0:20:51 > 0:20:52No pressure, then.

0:20:52 > 0:20:56It's week two. And with the ceremony and reception venues booked,

0:20:56 > 0:21:03David's on the hunt for professional dancers to turn his flash-mob wedding into a dance spectacular.

0:21:03 > 0:21:07But the boys are struggling to find a flash mob quite flash enough.

0:21:07 > 0:21:11I'm looking to put on a sort of dance performance

0:21:11 > 0:21:13at a wedding I'm about to have on 30th May.

0:21:13 > 0:21:17With no luck locally, there's only one thing for it,

0:21:17 > 0:21:21fork out for a trip to London in search of something really special

0:21:21 > 0:21:24to give his wedding extra va-va-voom.

0:21:24 > 0:21:25SAMBA MUSIC

0:21:25 > 0:21:29Two little country boys have come all the way to London to see a hell of a show

0:21:29 > 0:21:33and, hopefully, persuaded a few people after to do our flash mob.

0:21:36 > 0:21:40They want big, bold, and beauty would be a bonus too.

0:21:40 > 0:21:43It's a hard job, lads, but someone's got to do it.

0:21:47 > 0:21:50APPLAUSE

0:21:50 > 0:21:53- Very good. Very good. - CHEERING

0:21:53 > 0:21:56The boys are sold on the dancers,

0:21:56 > 0:21:58all they need to do now is head backstage

0:21:58 > 0:22:00to sell THEM the wedding plan.

0:22:00 > 0:22:04- So, tell us about your idea?- I'm getting married in the middle of Exeter city centre

0:22:04 > 0:22:08and I'm trying to put on a samba-style flash mob.

0:22:08 > 0:22:10Well, we can definitely help out.

0:22:10 > 0:22:14- INDISTINCT - ..are a couple of people that we could get to come down,

0:22:14 > 0:22:17but then I can organise to have as many dancers as you want,

0:22:17 > 0:22:20- depending on how much you want to spend, of course.- That's the thing.

0:22:20 > 0:22:24I've sort of pencilled in the number of £3,000. And, obviously, what you can do for me.

0:22:24 > 0:22:28I should be able to get you at least ten dancers there, if not more.

0:22:28 > 0:22:31Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated, really.

0:22:31 > 0:22:33It's brilliant. You know, the dancers are amazing.

0:22:33 > 0:22:37Although it's the most expensive parts of my whole process, it will be worth it.

0:22:37 > 0:22:40It's just that...excitement that you need for the day.

0:22:40 > 0:22:44David books some of the top samba dancers around,

0:22:44 > 0:22:47but he's paid top dollar to do it.

0:22:47 > 0:22:50Now there's a big hole in the budget and he needs to save money.

0:22:50 > 0:22:53First up, the hen do.

0:22:53 > 0:22:55It's the not knowing, isn't it?

0:22:55 > 0:22:58I don't know what to wear because I don't know what we're doing.

0:23:01 > 0:23:04Dan lives up here and around the corner.

0:23:04 > 0:23:06There's the...the petrol station.

0:23:06 > 0:23:08Dan lives up on the hill.

0:23:08 > 0:23:11- Why would you go and see Dan for your hen do?- I don't know.

0:23:11 > 0:23:13There's a bakery. If it says a bakery, it's fine.

0:23:13 > 0:23:16Why would he pick Ottery St Mary?

0:23:16 > 0:23:18Right, I've just get a text message from David.

0:23:18 > 0:23:21It says, "You're going to Dan's to make...

0:23:21 > 0:23:24- "You're going to Dan's to make the rings..."- Why have I got to do it?!

0:23:24 > 0:23:28"..as this is your only input for the day."

0:23:28 > 0:23:31Dan is a friend of Kelly's who makes jewellery,

0:23:31 > 0:23:34so David's saving cash on the hen do and the wedding rings

0:23:34 > 0:23:37with a genius plan to combine the two.

0:23:37 > 0:23:40- I'm not a silversmith.- I do think it's a bit odd.

0:23:40 > 0:23:43I think he should be doing it, you know, that's the whole point.

0:23:43 > 0:23:46He's meant to organise the wedding, he should organise the rings.

0:23:46 > 0:23:51To get over their hen do shock, it's a quick pit stop at a pasty shop.

0:23:51 > 0:23:53Can I have...a small pasty.

0:23:53 > 0:23:55And...three of those.

0:23:55 > 0:23:59I am disappointed, because I thought that he knows

0:23:59 > 0:24:03I've never been to a spa and stuff like that, so I thought he would have possibly sent us to a spa.

0:24:03 > 0:24:06We're just here.

0:24:06 > 0:24:09- We should be there. - LAUGHTER

0:24:11 > 0:24:13Hello. Are you all right?

0:24:13 > 0:24:14- Hi.- I'm Tommi.

0:24:14 > 0:24:17Oh, no, it broke!

0:24:17 > 0:24:20Actually, I don't know anybody that's made their wedding rings.

0:24:20 > 0:24:22- I think that's really nice.- Yeah, definitely.

0:24:22 > 0:24:26- Cos they'll be unique. No-one will ever have anything like that.- No.

0:24:26 > 0:24:28It's something that I can do for the wedding, you know,

0:24:28 > 0:24:32I haven't had a hand in anything else, so hopefully it'll be good,

0:24:32 > 0:24:36but if it turns out bad, then he'll just have to wear it anyway.

0:24:36 > 0:24:40While Kelly's getting tooled up on her labour intensive hen do,

0:24:40 > 0:24:45David's out with the boys getting hammered.

0:24:45 > 0:24:50Glad to have a night off without thinking about planning and making it right for Kelly.

0:24:50 > 0:24:56But this is my night, so I can go out and just be myself and, hopefully, have a good time.

0:24:57 > 0:25:00Back at the hen, it's not all work,

0:25:00 > 0:25:02David's sent them out in Taunton.

0:25:02 > 0:25:07I've had my friends come from here there and everywhere just to see me, which is lovely.

0:25:07 > 0:25:11So a really big surprise.

0:25:11 > 0:25:13I'm going to get really, really drunk tonight.

0:25:13 > 0:25:16With David's hen do going down as well as the shots,

0:25:16 > 0:25:21Kelly can finally forget all about the stresses of the wedding.

0:25:21 > 0:25:23The girls will be feeling this tomorrow,

0:25:23 > 0:25:25but not as much as the boys.

0:25:27 > 0:25:32Post-stag do, David is with twin brother, Owen, and younger brother, Ben.

0:25:32 > 0:25:34The groom has a very sore head...

0:25:34 > 0:25:38- in more ways than one.- You fell over?

0:25:38 > 0:25:42- Fell over outside the front door. - Were you running down the road? - I got to the front door

0:25:42 > 0:25:44and I must've missed the handle or something

0:25:44 > 0:25:48- and I must've stacked it and hit whatever I hit.- Broke the plant pot. Knocked the plant pot over.

0:25:48 > 0:25:53- It was eventful.- Don't worry, your brothers won't tell the bride about this.

0:25:53 > 0:25:55And they won't need to,

0:25:55 > 0:25:57because the kids already have.

0:25:57 > 0:26:03They spent the day with Dad after the stag do and they've let slip about his big slip.

0:26:03 > 0:26:07We're not going to have any photo that hasn't got a big black eye in it.

0:26:07 > 0:26:10I'll just use Owen for the photos, they look alike.

0:26:10 > 0:26:13So he'll just have to turn so I can't see his ear.

0:26:13 > 0:26:16- But I'm just... - No, Owen's hurt himself too.

0:26:16 > 0:26:21- What, love?- 20 stitches here. - Seriously?

0:26:22 > 0:26:24Sorry.

0:26:24 > 0:26:26Yep, David's not the only one

0:26:26 > 0:26:29who had an embarrassing accident at the stag.

0:26:29 > 0:26:32Still, at least the twins will match at the wedding.

0:26:35 > 0:26:38- LAUGHTER - It's a beauty, in't it?

0:26:38 > 0:26:41Six o'clock, get home from A&E. It was great...great fun.

0:26:41 > 0:26:44We had a little bit of a situation where we were walking home

0:26:44 > 0:26:48and my friend just decided to swing a little bit of wood messing around,

0:26:48 > 0:26:51and he...let's just say he caught me with it,

0:26:51 > 0:26:55hence the reason why I've got big glasses on to cover me eyes

0:26:55 > 0:26:58and a big sterile strip on me head covering 20 stitches.

0:26:58 > 0:27:01No point dwelling over it, we've still got a wedding to organise

0:27:01 > 0:27:03and a few more things to sort out.

0:27:03 > 0:27:06It's double trouble, and they've got Kelly worried

0:27:06 > 0:27:09about just how seriously David is taking the wedding.

0:27:09 > 0:27:12Who does that a week before their wedding?

0:27:13 > 0:27:16Owen having a smashed up face, I mean,

0:27:16 > 0:27:20my family are just going to think their family is a bunch of thugs.

0:27:20 > 0:27:23Can you imagine my dad's face when he sees David?

0:27:23 > 0:27:25He's going to be disgusted.

0:27:25 > 0:27:28He's let us both down, to be honest.

0:27:30 > 0:27:35Blissfully unaware of the trouble they've caused and with just four days until the wedding,

0:27:35 > 0:27:39the boys have put their bruised heads together to look for a wedding dress.

0:27:39 > 0:27:42I feel quite confident that I'll get this bit right,

0:27:42 > 0:27:45it's just finding something within the budget.

0:27:45 > 0:27:48That's my biggest concern, finding something within the budget I've got for this.

0:27:48 > 0:27:52I've got a set maximum limit to try and find a dress, a veil and some shoes.

0:27:52 > 0:27:55But I like the idea of...of it all being fitted

0:27:55 > 0:27:57and making her look, well...

0:27:57 > 0:27:59She might want to be the princess, though.

0:27:59 > 0:28:01She does want to be a princess, but I'm the one choosing it.

0:28:04 > 0:28:08Over in Ilminster, Kelly has come to find her ideal wedding dress

0:28:08 > 0:28:12with her mum, sister and bridesmaids.

0:28:12 > 0:28:16- Oh!- The dress is the most important thing about the whole wedding.

0:28:16 > 0:28:21As long as the dress is great, then I will be fine with everything else.

0:28:21 > 0:28:25What I'd like for my wedding day, my dress, obviously, a big princess style

0:28:25 > 0:28:28with maybe a tiara, a veil, really sparkly.

0:28:28 > 0:28:31- Just like a princess. No.- No?- No, I don't like that.

0:28:31 > 0:28:35- OK.- I'm not a fairy princess. I'm not a fairy. I'm a princess.

0:28:35 > 0:28:38I don't really like these kind of beads.

0:28:38 > 0:28:42I like sparkly beads, but I don't really like, like, dull beads.

0:28:42 > 0:28:44Does that makes sense?

0:28:44 > 0:28:48Oh, I get what you mean, you want bling, you don't want sparkle.

0:28:48 > 0:28:49- Yeah. That's...- OK.

0:28:49 > 0:28:52I think that's pretty, but it's a bit Princess Diana.

0:28:52 > 0:28:55- Yeah, that one. I don't like that. - You don't like that?!

0:28:55 > 0:28:58- Don't like that. I quite like that one.- Look at all the bling on it.

0:28:58 > 0:29:02I know exactly what I want. David's going to such a hard job, because I'm like,

0:29:02 > 0:29:04"I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it."

0:29:04 > 0:29:08But it seems our couple have more in common than they think.

0:29:08 > 0:29:12When it comes to choosing dresses, David can't find one he likes either.

0:29:12 > 0:29:14What about that, Dave?

0:29:14 > 0:29:18- That's horrible.- You don't like the ruffles?- No, no, don't like ruffles. - What about that, Dave?

0:29:18 > 0:29:21- No. I don't like all that.- No?

0:29:21 > 0:29:23Dave?

0:29:23 > 0:29:25- There we go. Look, there's lace. - I really don't like it.

0:29:25 > 0:29:27I think I will need some help, please.

0:29:27 > 0:29:32Getting no help from his brothers, David calls in the professionals.

0:29:32 > 0:29:35I just... Unfortunately, I've never been a fan of the little...

0:29:35 > 0:29:38- little diamond things.- Yes, but she may like it.- She'd properly love it.

0:29:38 > 0:29:42- She would.- It is not about you, David.- You've got to stop thinking just about you,

0:29:42 > 0:29:45you've got to remember it's for her as well.

0:29:45 > 0:29:48- That's beautiful.- That is really pretty, actually.

0:29:48 > 0:29:52- That is really pretty. We'll try a few on and then we can just go from there, can't we?- Yeah.

0:29:52 > 0:29:54Meanwhile, Kelly is working out

0:29:54 > 0:29:56exactly what she doesn't want from a wedding dress.

0:29:56 > 0:29:58Yeah, this one's really heavy.

0:30:00 > 0:30:02- That's not the wow factor for me. - Not the wow factor for me, either.

0:30:02 > 0:30:04No.

0:30:04 > 0:30:07- This is very womanly. And very, like...- Mature.- ..conservative

0:30:07 > 0:30:10- and mature.- Elegant. - And that's not me.

0:30:10 > 0:30:12If David doesn't get you the dress that you want,

0:30:12 > 0:30:14I would be very sad.

0:30:14 > 0:30:17- Because, like you say, this isn't you.- No.

0:30:17 > 0:30:19And David should know you.

0:30:19 > 0:30:21So, David SHOULD know

0:30:21 > 0:30:24that this tight-fitting but mature-looking dress

0:30:24 > 0:30:26is exactly what Kelly doesn't want.

0:30:29 > 0:30:30I like that straightaway.

0:30:30 > 0:30:32Oh, dear.

0:30:32 > 0:30:34It's nice and tight there, and then goes out at the back.

0:30:34 > 0:30:36It's quite a traditional-bride look.

0:30:36 > 0:30:39It's got a bit of age to it, as well - I know she's only young -

0:30:39 > 0:30:40and very elegant,

0:30:40 > 0:30:42and it will just really suit her figure.

0:30:42 > 0:30:45In Ilminster, Kelly has found the one.

0:30:45 > 0:30:46Oh, wow!

0:30:46 > 0:30:48THEY ALL EXCLAIM AT ONCE

0:30:48 > 0:30:50That's the dress!

0:30:50 > 0:30:52KELLY SQUEALS

0:30:52 > 0:30:54Look at it! Look...

0:30:54 > 0:30:55That's it!

0:30:55 > 0:30:58That is it, isn't it?

0:30:58 > 0:31:01A Cinderella-princess dress with sweetheart neckline,

0:31:01 > 0:31:04long taffeta train and diamante crystals.

0:31:04 > 0:31:06- It's proper princess, isn't it? - That's you.

0:31:06 > 0:31:08It's proper princess, isn't it?

0:31:08 > 0:31:10David's definitely getting warmer.

0:31:10 > 0:31:14Maybe his princess WILL get her dream dress, after all.

0:31:14 > 0:31:17No. I mean, straightaway I'm not fond of it.

0:31:17 > 0:31:20It's too big at the bottom. There's too much going on in the middle.

0:31:20 > 0:31:21No. Turns out, she won't.

0:31:21 > 0:31:24She probably would like that, but it's just something

0:31:24 > 0:31:25I don't particularly think is nice,

0:31:25 > 0:31:27so I want her to wear something that

0:31:27 > 0:31:29I know she'll like and I'll like at the same time.

0:31:29 > 0:31:32- I thought it was quite nice. - Yeah, I thought she'd like that.

0:31:32 > 0:31:36If you don't like it straightaway, you're not going to change your mind.

0:31:36 > 0:31:37Fair enough.

0:31:37 > 0:31:41Back with the girls, Kelly is dreaming of a fairytale wedding.

0:31:41 > 0:31:44I would love David to get me this dress,

0:31:44 > 0:31:47but I know that he won't even look at anything like it.

0:31:47 > 0:31:51Well, you need to have a bit of faith in him, really, don't you?

0:31:51 > 0:31:53I never thought I'd get married, to be honest.

0:31:53 > 0:31:56You know, I didn't think I'd keep my leg,

0:31:56 > 0:31:58I didn't think anybody would want me.

0:31:58 > 0:32:00- Oh, don't! - Don't, you'll set me off...!

0:32:03 > 0:32:08I remember lying in bed crying, thinking I was going to lose her.

0:32:10 > 0:32:12She's had a bit of a tough time, the last few years.

0:32:12 > 0:32:14And, erm...

0:32:14 > 0:32:16I'm proud of her.

0:32:16 > 0:32:18That, you know, she's still here.

0:32:18 > 0:32:21It'll be nice for her to forget about it

0:32:21 > 0:32:23for a little bit. Wouldn't it?

0:32:23 > 0:32:26- Yeah.- You know, to actually... It isn't all about the cancer.

0:32:26 > 0:32:29I'm hoping so. Because it'll be nice just for one day

0:32:29 > 0:32:31that she hasn't got to worry.

0:32:31 > 0:32:34Perhaps Kelly doesn't have to worry.

0:32:34 > 0:32:36David's running out of money,

0:32:36 > 0:32:38and the dress he wants is more than he can afford.

0:32:38 > 0:32:40Obviously, I really love the dress -

0:32:40 > 0:32:42I love the whole outfit you've put together.

0:32:42 > 0:32:44What's the best you can possibly do for me?

0:32:44 > 0:32:48You see - boys - you spend all your money

0:32:48 > 0:32:52- and then you leave the dress... - LAUGHTER

0:32:52 > 0:32:55- Could I come down to 11? I know it's cheeky.- 11...- I know it's cheeky,

0:32:55 > 0:32:57- but can we call that a deal?- OK.

0:32:57 > 0:32:59Brilliant! Give you a cuddle for that.

0:32:59 > 0:33:01So, David spends £1,100

0:33:01 > 0:33:05on the mature, fitted dress with shoes and veil.

0:33:05 > 0:33:06With four days to go

0:33:06 > 0:33:08and things still to organise,

0:33:08 > 0:33:12his budget is almost blown.

0:33:12 > 0:33:13Wooo!

0:33:13 > 0:33:15LAUGHTER

0:33:15 > 0:33:18Aw, she's crying again...!

0:33:19 > 0:33:21You might get it, babe. You don't know.

0:33:23 > 0:33:25I'm happy with the decision I've made. For myself.

0:33:25 > 0:33:27And I am hoping that when Kelly tries it on,

0:33:27 > 0:33:30although it's probably not the norm for her,

0:33:30 > 0:33:31it will be the one that she thinks -

0:33:31 > 0:33:33Yeah, that's the perfect dress for me.

0:33:33 > 0:33:35On the day she will stick out over everyone,

0:33:35 > 0:33:38even the samba dancers, who'll be very wildly dressed.

0:33:38 > 0:33:41She'll stick out because she'll just look a lot more different.

0:33:41 > 0:33:44He might surprise me, but I don't think he'll pick anything

0:33:44 > 0:33:45that I would've picked, at all.

0:33:47 > 0:33:49I'd like to think that he will, but...

0:33:49 > 0:33:52I don't think he will. Mn-mn.

0:33:54 > 0:33:56David may not have picked the fairytale dress,

0:33:56 > 0:34:00but he still needs his princess to come to the ball.

0:34:00 > 0:34:03It's time to let Kelly know the date of their wedding.

0:34:05 > 0:34:08I've been thinking about Kelly's invitation for the big day itself,

0:34:08 > 0:34:12and I've come up with the idea - because she wants to be a princess -

0:34:12 > 0:34:15of maybe doing, like, delivering her wedding shoe...

0:34:15 > 0:34:16outside the front door.

0:34:16 > 0:34:19As, like, a Cinderella-type story.

0:34:19 > 0:34:21And I thought about writing a poem last night.

0:34:21 > 0:34:24I started doing this around about eight o'clock

0:34:24 > 0:34:26and in the end I gave up around about one, two in the morning.

0:34:26 > 0:34:29To my abilities, it's the best I could possibly do.

0:34:29 > 0:34:32I put a bit of time and effort into it and I'm hopeful she appreciates it.

0:34:32 > 0:34:35As David tries to work some magic on his fairytale invite,

0:34:35 > 0:34:39over at Kelly's it's a very special day.

0:34:39 > 0:34:41So it's your birthday today, and you're 28!

0:34:41 > 0:34:45I know. I cried this morning, actually. I felt well old.

0:34:45 > 0:34:46Oh, did you?

0:34:46 > 0:34:48Have you heard from anyone today?

0:34:48 > 0:34:50My dad sent a card. And my auntie.

0:34:50 > 0:34:52Oh, and you bought me my flowers.

0:34:54 > 0:34:56- You woke up to flowers. - I know.

0:34:57 > 0:35:02And there's one other special present on its way.

0:35:02 > 0:35:04Well, I just parked outside my house in Chard

0:35:04 > 0:35:05where I live with Kelly and the kids

0:35:05 > 0:35:08and I'm about to give Kelly her invite personally,

0:35:08 > 0:35:10but not actually see her.

0:35:10 > 0:35:11Yeah, it's her birthday today.

0:35:11 > 0:35:14If she can remember it for the years to come that it's the day she got her invite.

0:35:14 > 0:35:17You know, I think it's just that little bit more personal to her.

0:35:17 > 0:35:21I hope, on her birthday, it can be the best present she gets.

0:35:21 > 0:35:23HE KNOCKS

0:35:25 > 0:35:27Oh, my God!

0:35:29 > 0:35:31It's like Cinderella!

0:35:31 > 0:35:33"Once the time, I met you online..."

0:35:33 > 0:35:35THEY ROAR WITH LAUGHTER

0:35:35 > 0:35:37I love it!

0:35:39 > 0:35:41"My life truly altered

0:35:41 > 0:35:43"A first date full of disaster

0:35:43 > 0:35:45"But also filled with fun and laughter

0:35:45 > 0:35:46"So two and a half years on

0:35:46 > 0:35:49"With four kids, two dogs and a home

0:35:49 > 0:35:51"My life couldn't get any better..."

0:35:51 > 0:35:54SHE STIFLES SOBS

0:35:56 > 0:35:57"But on the 30th of May,

0:35:57 > 0:35:59"Will you make that our special day to remember?

0:35:59 > 0:36:04"So be ready for one, because your destiny will be calling."

0:36:04 > 0:36:05That's good.

0:36:05 > 0:36:07And he really made the effort with the writing.

0:36:07 > 0:36:11SHE SNIFFLES

0:36:11 > 0:36:14- You'll keep that forever, won't you? - Yeah.

0:36:20 > 0:36:22Just heard a bit of giggling.

0:36:22 > 0:36:25I didn't hear much of anything else, really, so...

0:36:25 > 0:36:27We'll wait and see, won't we?

0:36:30 > 0:36:31I love...

0:36:31 > 0:36:35Like, growing up, and stuff, I've loved fairytales and...

0:36:35 > 0:36:37I don't know if it's a clue, or not,

0:36:37 > 0:36:40but it's a really nice way to invite me.

0:36:41 > 0:36:44Making me feel a bit like a princess.

0:36:44 > 0:36:46I feel like he's made the effort for me,

0:36:46 > 0:36:48so it's very touching.

0:36:50 > 0:36:53And he's not thought about himself with the shoes.

0:36:53 > 0:36:57So, let's hope, with the dress,

0:36:57 > 0:36:58he thought about me...

0:36:58 > 0:37:00and not himself.

0:37:00 > 0:37:02It's the day before the wedding

0:37:02 > 0:37:05and David has a big job transforming

0:37:05 > 0:37:08the local hall into his Latin American disco.

0:37:08 > 0:37:11Today I'm at the hall getting all the decorations, the tables...

0:37:11 > 0:37:14everything sorted out, so that tomorrow I'm all freed up

0:37:14 > 0:37:16just to concentrate on the wedding day itself.

0:37:16 > 0:37:19Yeah, it all adds to the theme I'm going for.

0:37:19 > 0:37:21We've got the hall decorators in there.

0:37:21 > 0:37:23I've got family coming over just to get the tables out.

0:37:23 > 0:37:26Put the tables on the outside roughly where we can put them.

0:37:26 > 0:37:28If that's the easiest place for a fixing point.

0:37:28 > 0:37:32I'm having a glitter ball which will really help the visual effect on the dance floor.

0:37:32 > 0:37:34It's perfect. Our day, I want it to be, like,

0:37:34 > 0:37:37everyone to be able to get up, have a dance, have a laugh,

0:37:37 > 0:37:40and with having that, it just gives it that little touch you need, really.

0:37:40 > 0:37:42I think it's going to look amazing when it's done.

0:37:42 > 0:37:45And it doesn't just need to look amazing,

0:37:45 > 0:37:47it needs to sound amazing, too.

0:37:47 > 0:37:49I've actually arranged with a local samba band.

0:37:49 > 0:37:52They're only £300 which is, like, really cheap.

0:37:52 > 0:37:55Now David just needs to get his fiancee to the fiesta.

0:37:55 > 0:37:58But having blown most of the budget,

0:37:58 > 0:38:01it might just have to be IN a Fiesta!

0:38:01 > 0:38:03I have £167-and-something-pence

0:38:03 > 0:38:06and now I've trying to sort out travel.

0:38:06 > 0:38:09So, I've got a mate who runs a hire-car place here

0:38:09 > 0:38:12so I've come to see him today to hopefully see if he can

0:38:12 > 0:38:15cut me a good deal on getting a vehicle to take Kelly to the ceremony.

0:38:15 > 0:38:18I've done most of the big things, but the final week

0:38:18 > 0:38:20when you want to get the final little niggly things done,

0:38:20 > 0:38:23and you don't have the money for it, it's quite stressful.

0:38:23 > 0:38:24She likes Beetles, so, end of the day,

0:38:24 > 0:38:27it's a lot better than any car I could give her.

0:38:27 > 0:38:29Yeah. It's either that, really, or a Transit Tipper.

0:38:29 > 0:38:32That'd be a good look, wouldn't it? Her on the back.

0:38:32 > 0:38:33Just strap her down.

0:38:33 > 0:38:35Kelly might NEED to be strapped down.

0:38:35 > 0:38:38And it's no laughing matter.

0:38:38 > 0:38:42She's in Exeter to try on the dress that David has chosen.

0:38:42 > 0:38:43This is the big moment.

0:38:43 > 0:38:47I guess it's going to prove how much David does know about me.

0:38:47 > 0:38:50Because buying a dress for somebody is a really personal thing, isn't it?

0:38:50 > 0:38:53If he gets the dress right, everything tomorrow will be fabulous.

0:38:53 > 0:38:55- Yeah.- And we can relax now.- Yeah.

0:38:55 > 0:38:58- And we can enjoy it. - Yes, we can.

0:38:58 > 0:39:01- Let's go and see the dress. - OK.

0:39:01 > 0:39:03Ohhh...!

0:39:03 > 0:39:05It's all here for you.

0:39:05 > 0:39:07OK? Oh, my God.

0:39:07 > 0:39:08Ready, darling?

0:39:08 > 0:39:12Kelly wanted a princess dress for her small intimate wedding.

0:39:12 > 0:39:16What will she make of the figure-hugging dress David chose?

0:39:21 > 0:39:23You ready?

0:39:35 > 0:39:37Stunning, sweetheart.

0:39:37 > 0:39:38Mm-hm.

0:39:47 > 0:39:49SHE SOBS

0:39:49 > 0:39:51I'm so sorry.

0:39:51 > 0:39:53I really wanted to love it. I did.

0:39:54 > 0:39:56I really wanted to love it. I did.

0:39:56 > 0:39:57I promise you, I wanted to love it.

0:41:27 > 0:41:29Did he match these together?

0:41:30 > 0:41:31OK.

0:41:31 > 0:41:32Don't cry, now. Come on.

0:41:32 > 0:41:34I want to sit down.

0:41:34 > 0:41:38- But I don't want to sit down on the dress.- All right, OK.

0:41:38 > 0:41:41Kelly is distraught.

0:41:41 > 0:41:44Time for the bridesmaids to call David with the bad news.

0:41:45 > 0:41:48You won't understand him.

0:41:48 > 0:41:49- Hello.- 'Hello. It's Tommi.

0:41:49 > 0:41:51'And Chantelle.'

0:41:51 > 0:41:53- Hello.- 'Kelly doesn't like the dress, David.'

0:41:53 > 0:41:55Doesn't she?

0:41:55 > 0:41:57'What's wrong with it? I can't believe...

0:41:57 > 0:41:58'What's wrong with the dress?'

0:41:58 > 0:42:00Well, she looks like a 50-year-old woman in it.

0:42:09 > 0:42:11I want Kelly to be happy with what she's wearing,

0:42:11 > 0:42:13and I thought that was the dress for her.

0:42:18 > 0:42:20- 'Yeah.'- Bye.- 'Bye.'

0:42:20 > 0:42:24Let's go and see what the other one looks like.

0:42:24 > 0:42:26With Kelly refusing to wear the dress,

0:42:26 > 0:42:28David has no choice but to let her try

0:42:28 > 0:42:30one of the other dresses he looked at.

0:42:33 > 0:42:34I don't really know what to say.

0:42:34 > 0:42:37I'm just lost for words, at the moment.

0:42:37 > 0:42:41The most important part of Kelly's big day has misfired.

0:42:41 > 0:42:45All hopes for the wedding are now pinned on his second dress.

0:42:47 > 0:42:48Here she is.

0:42:50 > 0:42:52SILENCE

0:42:55 > 0:42:58SILENCE CONTINUES

0:43:00 > 0:43:02That doesn't suit you.

0:43:02 > 0:43:04I don't really like this.

0:43:04 > 0:43:05No, I know you don't.

0:43:07 > 0:43:10I don't think he's put any thought into it.

0:43:10 > 0:43:13I think he's failed dramatically here.

0:43:13 > 0:43:15I am really angry.

0:43:15 > 0:43:17He has let her down.

0:43:17 > 0:43:20I know she's not going to be happy wearing that dress.

0:43:20 > 0:43:22I just think David needs...

0:43:24 > 0:43:26- Got it wrong.- Yeah, he did.

0:43:27 > 0:43:30No words can describe how I'm feeling at this moment.

0:43:32 > 0:43:36I feel a little bit shocked that he completely got me wrong.

0:43:36 > 0:43:39The second choice hasn't gone down well, either.

0:43:39 > 0:43:41Deciding to make do,

0:43:41 > 0:43:44all Kelly can hope, is that the big day itself

0:43:44 > 0:43:45will make up for it.

0:43:45 > 0:43:48I'm hoping that tomorrow is going to be lovely

0:43:48 > 0:43:51and I'm hoping that it's not going

0:43:51 > 0:43:53to be like it was today.

0:43:53 > 0:43:57Because, obviously, he must've thought I'm going to love the dress,

0:43:57 > 0:44:00so what happens if tomorrow he thinks that I'm going to love everything.

0:44:00 > 0:44:04Let's just hope that tomorrow isn't going to be the same.

0:44:18 > 0:44:19God...!

0:44:19 > 0:44:22She's a lot calmer today than she was yesterday.

0:44:22 > 0:44:26It was quite a stressful day for all of us, though, to be honest with you.

0:44:26 > 0:44:27It can't get any worse.

0:44:27 > 0:44:31It's got to start getting better from here on out.

0:44:31 > 0:44:33It's the morning of the wedding

0:44:33 > 0:44:36and the bridesmaids are beginning to lose faith

0:44:36 > 0:44:39that Kelly's fairytale day will end happily ever after.

0:44:39 > 0:44:43Seeing her broken on the floor like that, really hurt me.

0:44:45 > 0:44:48I've not really seen Kelly like that since her cancer,

0:44:48 > 0:44:52so to be so devastated about her dress, I'm worried about today.

0:44:53 > 0:44:54Me, too, babe.

0:44:57 > 0:44:58Best case scenario is that...

0:45:00 > 0:45:03..that we end up husband and wife at the end of it.

0:45:03 > 0:45:05That's pretty much it.

0:45:06 > 0:45:10I haven't got the foggiest clue about what's going to be happening today.

0:45:10 > 0:45:15I really would like something quite personal, just for us.

0:45:15 > 0:45:18But personal isn't on David's agenda.

0:45:18 > 0:45:19Hello. Can you hear me?

0:45:19 > 0:45:23He's getting ready to shout his love from the rooftops.

0:45:23 > 0:45:24Literally.

0:45:24 > 0:45:26It works? Perfect.

0:45:26 > 0:45:27I could maybe be up here

0:45:27 > 0:45:30and I get to see it all from a bird's-eye view,

0:45:30 > 0:45:32and it'll look far more attractive from up here

0:45:32 > 0:45:35than being caught in the middle and not seeing what's going on.

0:45:35 > 0:45:37- David, you pretend to be Kelly. - Yep.

0:45:37 > 0:45:41All right, everyone come over. You all dance around her.

0:45:41 > 0:45:43She won't know where to look.

0:45:46 > 0:45:50I'll take my...pew.

0:45:50 > 0:45:52Yeah, nerves are kicking in a little bit, now.

0:45:52 > 0:45:54I've sorted out with the dancers what's going on,

0:45:54 > 0:45:56so it's just getting the family and friends happy.

0:45:56 > 0:45:57It's going to be fine.

0:45:57 > 0:46:00As the pressure builds on David,

0:46:00 > 0:46:02after a few overnight alterations,

0:46:02 > 0:46:05Kelly is about to reveal the replacement wedding dress.

0:46:06 > 0:46:09Oh...!

0:46:09 > 0:46:10Wow...!

0:46:10 > 0:46:11- Do you like it?- I like it!

0:46:11 > 0:46:13- Oh...!- Do you like it?

0:46:13 > 0:46:16Yeah, I like it now it's been altered.

0:46:16 > 0:46:18- Oh, my God, they did such an... - You look lush!

0:46:18 > 0:46:20I was really worried about it yesterday,

0:46:20 > 0:46:24and I wasn't that confident that I was going to feel

0:46:24 > 0:46:26as special as I do today in it, so...

0:46:26 > 0:46:28I'm really happy.

0:46:28 > 0:46:29SHE CHOKES UP

0:46:29 > 0:46:32- That's all that matters. - Do you think?- It's all that matters.

0:46:32 > 0:46:33Beautiful.

0:46:33 > 0:46:35I'm frikkin' nervous.

0:46:35 > 0:46:38Because I haven't got a clue what is going on today.

0:46:40 > 0:46:41Ah!

0:46:41 > 0:46:43..really begins to restore Kelly's faith in her man.

0:46:46 > 0:46:47It's a Beetle!

0:46:47 > 0:46:50It's my most favourite car.

0:46:52 > 0:46:54I'm really, really nervous...

0:46:54 > 0:46:56to see what he's got planned.

0:46:56 > 0:46:59Meanwhile, David is putting the finishing touches

0:46:59 > 0:47:03to the wedding and concealing the evidence from the stag do.

0:47:03 > 0:47:05I covered the scab up with a little bit of make-up

0:47:05 > 0:47:08and I just want to get out there and tell everyone what to do.

0:47:08 > 0:47:09I feel like it's nearly there

0:47:09 > 0:47:12and I want to make sure everyone is fully aware of what's going on.

0:47:12 > 0:47:14Thank you all for coming. You're all here today,

0:47:34 > 0:47:38Also a lot of stress knowing if it's going to come together, so...

0:47:38 > 0:47:41I'm really excited and just a little bit...erm...

0:47:41 > 0:47:44Just apprehensive about how it's all going to go, really.

0:47:53 > 0:47:54I've no idea where I could be going.

0:47:54 > 0:47:57Maybe... The only thing I can think of is Exeter Cathedral.

0:48:21 > 0:48:22But keep the faith,

0:48:22 > 0:48:26David has a different kind of spectacular planned.

0:48:29 > 0:48:31With the band, dancers and guests out of sight,
