0:01:16 > 0:01:20than the UK, but with just over a third of its population.

0:01:20 > 0:01:22But that figure's rapidly growing,

0:01:22 > 0:01:24thanks in part to the 23 British families

0:01:24 > 0:01:28who make Australia their new home every day.

0:01:28 > 0:01:30Many are drawn by the country's warmer climate

0:01:54 > 0:01:57they've set their sights on a new life in Australia.

0:01:57 > 0:02:00Ahead of them lies a week to discover

0:02:00 > 0:02:03if the country can live up to their high expectations,

0:02:03 > 0:02:08then they'll face perhaps the biggest decision of their lives.

0:02:12 > 0:02:15Flying via Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, it takes the family

0:02:15 > 0:02:19over 24 hours to travel from London to Australia.

0:02:20 > 0:02:22When they finally touch down,

0:02:22 > 0:02:25that's a difference of opinion on how the flight went.

0:02:25 > 0:02:27It wasn't as tiring as I thought it would be.

0:02:27 > 0:02:30I'm feeling quite... I'm looking forward to the day ahead.

0:02:30 > 0:02:33- The journey really tired me.- Yeah.

0:02:33 > 0:02:38Arriving on Australian soil is a huge personal milestone for Kevin.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40In all that time I've just wanted to get here,

0:02:40 > 0:02:44just being in Australia's just... Yeah, it's good, it's really good.

0:02:46 > 0:02:50He and Jesse are pinning their hopes on the next week being a success.

0:02:50 > 0:02:55It's really important that Australia this week goes really well.

0:02:55 > 0:03:00I'm not happy in the UK and I'm really hoping this is the answer.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03It really depends on this week, you know? This is the crunch.

0:03:03 > 0:03:07We find out whether this is something for us, or whether it's not.

0:03:07 > 0:03:08Kevin's right.

0:03:08 > 0:03:13The next week will decide where the family will spend the rest of their lives.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29Meet the Samra and Raison family.

0:03:29 > 0:03:33They are Jessie, Kevin, Kuba, Kieran and baby Che.

0:03:40 > 0:03:44Before she met Kevin, Jessie was a single mum

0:03:44 > 0:03:47living an active life in Wales with daughter, Kuba.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50We were really outdoorsy, we had lots of activities going on.

0:03:50 > 0:03:54Literally, just have quality time as a family outdoors.

0:03:54 > 0:03:58We did loads of activities like dance and drama and horse riding

0:03:58 > 0:03:59and karate and stuff.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07Then four years ago, mum and daughter returned to where Jessie grew up.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11Kuba and I moved back to West Bromwich from Wales

0:04:11 > 0:04:14because we wanted to be close to family.

0:04:14 > 0:04:18I just felt Kuba was missing out on seeing her grandparents more often.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23Wanting to remain active, Jessie enrolled in some boot camp

0:04:23 > 0:04:27training sessions and the instructor caught her eye.

0:04:27 > 0:04:31Jessie was actually assigned to my boot camp and she accidentally

0:04:31 > 0:04:35texted someone, thinking it was someone else and texted me instead

0:04:35 > 0:04:37and I think the words were, "I'm smitten."

0:04:39 > 0:04:42So... That's how I knew that Jessie liked me in some way.

0:04:42 > 0:04:47The couple fell in love and Kevin became part of both Jessie and Kuba's world.

0:04:47 > 0:04:50To me, Kuba's my daughter.

0:04:50 > 0:04:53And it felt that I took that on board quite easily.

0:04:53 > 0:04:56And soon, son Che came into their lives.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59It feels like everything's just pieced together, finally.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02The whole of my life has just pieced together.

0:05:02 > 0:05:06There's also an important fifth member of the family,

0:05:06 > 0:05:09Jessie's nephew, Kieran, who Jessie's cared for like a son.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13I think Kieran's a massive part in mine and Kuba's lives.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15- But he's a big part of your life, really.- Yes.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17He helps you coach in the business.

0:05:20 > 0:05:23Before they met, Kevin had a dream of moving to Australia.

0:05:23 > 0:05:27I had a dream many years ago, about the late '90s,

0:05:27 > 0:05:30I was looking to see as much of Australia as I could.

0:05:31 > 0:05:34But his initial plans were put on hold

0:05:34 > 0:05:37when some unexpected bills landed on his doormat.

0:05:37 > 0:05:40Unfortunately my dog was taken ill.

0:05:40 > 0:05:43All the money that I'd saved went on the operations for my dog.

0:05:46 > 0:05:49A couple of years later, after losing his father,

0:05:49 > 0:05:53he thought it might be time to try Australia again.

0:05:53 > 0:05:55When my dad passed away...

0:06:03 > 0:06:07..I decided I'd like to go to Australia.

0:06:07 > 0:06:10I didn't feel as if I had anything here for me.

0:06:13 > 0:06:15And a friend did say to me that wherever you go,

0:06:15 > 0:06:18you're always going to take your thoughts with you.

0:06:18 > 0:06:21So, yeah, it's been a couple of times I've tried for Australia,

0:06:21 > 0:06:23so third time lucky.

0:06:25 > 0:06:28Now Kevin's dream has new life

0:06:28 > 0:06:31and Jessie's begun to share his desire to move down under.

0:06:31 > 0:06:35Since moving from Wales I think you've started to

0:06:35 > 0:06:38always look for somewhere else to be.

0:06:38 > 0:06:41- Apart from Birmingham!- Yeah.

0:06:41 > 0:06:44I have it in my head what Australia can provide for us.

0:06:44 > 0:06:47So the family time, the outdoor lifestyle.

0:06:49 > 0:06:52Jessie's worried life for a teenager in the West Midlands

0:06:52 > 0:06:55isn't stimulating enough for Kuba.

0:06:55 > 0:06:57She used to play the guitar, the piano, the trumpet

0:06:57 > 0:06:59and she's given it all up.

0:06:59 > 0:07:02Because I've come from Wales, it's like, really different.

0:07:02 > 0:07:05So where I'd be out and doing activities, I'll just be at home.

0:07:07 > 0:07:10Just with social media and that's it really.

0:07:10 > 0:07:15And she believes a move down under would give Kuba a better life.

0:07:15 > 0:07:18In Australia, she'll have that outdoor lifestyle, she'll have,

0:07:18 > 0:07:23in my opinion, more opportunities to do all the things she wants to do.

0:07:23 > 0:07:26And offer nephew Kieran, a brighter future too.

0:07:26 > 0:07:30It'll open his eyes to what there is out there.

0:07:30 > 0:07:32I just want him to fulfil his dreams.

0:07:35 > 0:07:37So the dream's back on.

0:07:37 > 0:07:39It's been nearly 20 years.

0:07:39 > 0:07:42The dream's always been there, but you just kind of lay it down

0:07:42 > 0:07:43and think it's never going to happen.

0:07:43 > 0:07:46But Kevin's close to his Aunt Sandra

0:07:46 > 0:07:48and is torn at the thought of leaving her behind.

0:07:48 > 0:07:52We're so happy when we see each other and now, you know,

0:07:52 > 0:07:56we could be making one of the biggest steps we've ever made in our lives.

0:07:56 > 0:07:59It worries me, it does worry me.

0:07:59 > 0:08:03Jessie and Kuba are also concerned about leaving family who live nearby.

0:08:03 > 0:08:06- It's not that easy to just jump on a plane...- No.

0:08:06 > 0:08:09..and come back here if you're needed.

0:08:10 > 0:08:13I think that'll probably hurt me the most.

0:08:13 > 0:08:14Yeah, I know.

0:08:14 > 0:08:18I see my nan every day and knowing that after school

0:08:18 > 0:08:21I'm not going to go there, it's not a nice feeling.

0:08:21 > 0:08:23While Kieran has his own doubts over the move...

0:08:23 > 0:08:27I'm massively scared and nervous.

0:08:27 > 0:08:30I'm leaving so much behind, friends, family,

0:08:30 > 0:08:32they all mean a lot to me right now.

0:08:32 > 0:08:36Despite their worries, Jessie and Kevin are raring to go.

0:08:37 > 0:08:40I think it's a bit of a make-or-break.

0:08:40 > 0:08:43- It's a borderline obsession now, isn't it?- Yeah.

0:08:43 > 0:08:46We know what we want and we've got to have it within our grasp,

0:08:46 > 0:08:48very quickly.

0:08:54 > 0:08:57To find out if Australia will become their home, the family

0:08:57 > 0:09:02are visiting Adelaide, the driest of the country's state capitals.

0:09:03 > 0:09:06Their base for the week is Brighton Beach,

0:09:06 > 0:09:11the area's a haven for families and only a 25-minute train ride into the city.

0:09:13 > 0:09:17Once inside their temporary home, Jessie's pleasantly surprised.

0:09:17 > 0:09:21- It's quite nice, actually. I didn't expect it to look like this.- Yeah.

0:09:21 > 0:09:25- The living room, with inviting fire, goes down a treat.- OK.

0:09:27 > 0:09:28I can feel the heat off that.

0:09:28 > 0:09:32But it's the open-plan kitchen-diner that really hits the spot.

0:09:33 > 0:09:35- Oh, wow.- I like this.- Oh.

0:09:36 > 0:09:37It's a good size.

0:09:38 > 0:09:42And the outside entertaining area definitely has the "wow" factor.

0:09:42 > 0:09:45- Oh, wow!- This is gorgeous. - It just gets better, doesn't it?

0:09:45 > 0:09:48This is where I would chill out.

0:09:48 > 0:09:50As they make themselves at home,

0:09:50 > 0:09:54Kevin can barely contain his delight and is already feeling settled.

0:09:54 > 0:09:57It's took 20 years for me get to Australia

0:09:57 > 0:10:00and there's certain things that just tells you it's Australia,

0:10:00 > 0:10:03but there's nothing... It feels quite homely for us.

0:10:03 > 0:10:05It feels normal to be here.

0:10:05 > 0:10:07- Oh, wow!- Wow!

0:10:07 > 0:10:10Jessie's pinning her hopes on Australia showing

0:10:10 > 0:10:14Kuba and Kieran how their futures could be brighter down under.

0:10:14 > 0:10:17I think it's huge break for Kieran and Kuba.

0:10:17 > 0:10:22I really hope they open their eyes to something bigger and better

0:10:22 > 0:10:23for themselves.

0:10:23 > 0:10:26But it's likely to be an uphill struggle.

0:10:26 > 0:10:29I do admit, no, I don't want to move out here.

0:10:29 > 0:10:32I'm worried about like, not knowing... Making friends and stuff,

0:10:32 > 0:10:36because it's totally new people around me and I won't know anyone.

0:10:36 > 0:10:38Kevin knows just how much is at stake.

0:10:38 > 0:10:41This week is a life-changer for the family.

0:10:41 > 0:10:43It's a long way to make a mistake,

0:10:43 > 0:10:46so we've got to make sure that if we do it, we do it right.

0:10:46 > 0:10:49Kevin and Jessie's dream of a life down under will live or

0:10:49 > 0:10:51die in the next few days.

0:11:00 > 0:11:04Back in the UK, the family live in Smethwick in the West Midlands.

0:11:04 > 0:11:08Their three-bedroom house is midway through renovations.

0:11:08 > 0:11:10We're in a really good location for our house.

0:11:10 > 0:11:12It's in a sought-after area.

0:11:12 > 0:11:15We've got the woods opposite so it's great for walking the dogs,

0:11:15 > 0:11:17- for the kids to play.- Work is literally over the road from me.

0:11:17 > 0:11:19Yeah, you literally go across the road.

0:11:19 > 0:11:22The house in itself is a very big property.

0:11:22 > 0:11:24It's just not laid out the way we would like it,

0:11:24 > 0:11:26so we're knocking it all through.

0:11:27 > 0:11:33The family's budget for buying a home in Australia is around £250,000.

0:11:33 > 0:11:37They know exactly what they want.

0:11:37 > 0:11:38A swimming pool.

0:11:38 > 0:11:39Close to the beach.

0:11:39 > 0:11:40A hot tub.

0:11:40 > 0:11:42A big kitchen.

0:11:42 > 0:11:43We definitely need a big kitchen.

0:11:43 > 0:11:44A barbecue area.

0:11:44 > 0:11:46Crikey, it's all outdoors for me.

0:11:46 > 0:11:48A nice big garden for the dogs.

0:11:48 > 0:11:51To go to Australia and have something we're not happy with

0:11:51 > 0:11:54to live in, it just wouldn't sell the dream.

0:11:54 > 0:11:58We have to have all those ticks.

0:12:03 > 0:12:06To find out what kind of house the family could call home

0:12:06 > 0:12:09in Australia, today we'll show them three properties.

0:12:09 > 0:12:13Two on budget and a third one which could be their dream house.

0:12:13 > 0:12:17Only after they've seen each one will they discover its value.

0:12:21 > 0:12:23For their first viewing, the family head just 10 minutes

0:12:23 > 0:12:27south from Brighton Beach to the Sheidow Park area.

0:12:27 > 0:12:30Popular with expat families, it's close to the beach

0:12:30 > 0:12:33yet only about 35 minutes to the city by train.

0:12:33 > 0:12:37So, will this four bedroom house be to the family's taste?

0:12:39 > 0:12:40On arrival,

0:12:40 > 0:12:45the sloping driveway doesn't get the viewing off to the best of starts.

0:12:45 > 0:12:48- That's quite steep. - That's quite frightening.

0:12:49 > 0:12:53- The roof's almost level with the road.- It's quite freaky, that.- Yeah.

0:12:53 > 0:12:56I don't like the steep drive for my heels.

0:12:56 > 0:13:00But, despite the shaky start, inside, things begin to improve.

0:13:01 > 0:13:03- Nice and bright.- Yeah.

0:13:03 > 0:13:06I didn't expect that because it's so low down off the road.

0:13:06 > 0:13:07OK, bedroom.

0:13:07 > 0:13:10The master bedroom lifts the mood further still.

0:13:10 > 0:13:12That's nice.

0:13:12 > 0:13:16- Oh yeah, that's nice. - A walk-in wardrobe.- Oh, wow!

0:13:16 > 0:13:18I don't think it'll suit Kuba, still not enough room for her.

0:13:18 > 0:13:20She could have all of that.

0:13:20 > 0:13:22The other bedrooms are just so-so,

0:13:22 > 0:13:25failing to make a positive impression.

0:13:25 > 0:13:28- You're literally on the pavement. - Very small.

0:13:30 > 0:13:35While the open plan kitchen, diner and living room do win some praise...

0:13:35 > 0:13:38It's nice. It is.

0:13:38 > 0:13:41- I like the way it's like two halves.- Oh, wow.

0:13:41 > 0:13:43..it's not long-lived.

0:13:43 > 0:13:46It just reminds me of an apartment, this whole house.

0:13:46 > 0:13:50It's taken away from the cosiness of the house.

0:13:50 > 0:13:51Oh, this is nice.

0:13:51 > 0:13:53It carries onto the deck.

0:13:53 > 0:13:54However, up on the roof deck,

0:13:54 > 0:13:57the family can finally imagine settling in.

0:13:57 > 0:13:58Oh, this is lovely.

0:14:00 > 0:14:01Now this is it.

0:14:01 > 0:14:02It's good, so if it gets too hot,

0:14:02 > 0:14:04at least you've got the shade there as well.

0:14:04 > 0:14:06I can see myself out here everyday.

0:14:08 > 0:14:11So, a good ending to this viewing but overall,

0:14:11 > 0:14:13the house received a mixed response.

0:14:13 > 0:14:18Even so, could they afford it with their £250,000 budget?

0:14:19 > 0:14:23I've no idea how much this could be...

0:14:23 > 0:14:28but I'm going to guess at 190.

0:14:28 > 0:14:31I'm thinking over the 200 mark.

0:14:31 > 0:14:35I'm going to go £225,000

0:14:38 > 0:14:41Do you want to do the honours?

0:14:42 > 0:14:44- Oh.- Wow.

0:14:44 > 0:14:46I was the closest.

0:14:46 > 0:14:49That's £19,000 under their budget.

0:14:49 > 0:14:52I certainly think it makes sense to me, that price.

0:14:52 > 0:14:56It kind of makes sense but I was expecting a little bit lower.

0:14:56 > 0:15:00I'm excited to see if this is 231,000,

0:15:00 > 0:15:03what on earth we can get for 250,000.

0:15:03 > 0:15:05I want a pool!

0:15:12 > 0:15:15To see if Jessie can get the pool she so badly wants,

0:15:15 > 0:15:18the family head just five minutes south to Reynella,

0:15:18 > 0:15:23a quiet family friendly area only 10 minutes from the nearest beach.

0:15:25 > 0:15:28From the get-go, everyone seems more impressed.

0:15:30 > 0:15:34- First impressions, really nice. - I really like it.

0:15:35 > 0:15:40Jessie even manages to put a positive spin on the nearby noisy highway.

0:15:40 > 0:15:41You can't really hear much

0:15:41 > 0:15:44but it's all about getting somewhere quick, at least you can do that.

0:15:44 > 0:15:45Yeah.

0:15:45 > 0:15:50- Inside, the house just can't put a foot wrong.- Oh, nice.

0:15:50 > 0:15:53This is what you would expect in a proper hallway.

0:15:53 > 0:15:57It keeps you guessing as to what the rest of the house is like.

0:15:57 > 0:15:59The master bedroom's a real crowd pleaser.

0:15:59 > 0:16:01Oh, wow!

0:16:02 > 0:16:04What's it...? Whoa.

0:16:04 > 0:16:06Ah, it's gorgeous.

0:16:06 > 0:16:09Especially with its immaculate en suite.

0:16:09 > 0:16:12- It's a gorgeous en suite. - I love the shower and everything.

0:16:12 > 0:16:16Oh, it's lovely. I can see myself getting ready here in the mornings.

0:16:16 > 0:16:17In the next bedroom...

0:16:17 > 0:16:19- It's a good room. - It's not bad.

0:16:19 > 0:16:23..Jess is distracted by something she spots out of the window.

0:16:23 > 0:16:25That would be ideal.

0:16:25 > 0:16:28The secret's out of the bag.

0:16:28 > 0:16:29I just seen a pool.

0:16:29 > 0:16:31- SHE GASPS - Did you?

0:16:31 > 0:16:33You had to spoil it.

0:16:33 > 0:16:36- Shall we go and look at the rest of the house?- Yeah.

0:16:36 > 0:16:39The quicker we move, the quicker we get the pool.

0:16:39 > 0:16:41I don't know what this is.

0:16:41 > 0:16:44- Could be a study.- I thought it was going to be a dining room.

0:16:44 > 0:16:45It's a nice lounge.

0:16:45 > 0:16:47In the living room come office, trying to get a sneak peek

0:16:47 > 0:16:50of the pool proves irresistible.

0:16:50 > 0:16:51But Kuba...

0:16:51 > 0:16:53BANG THEY LAUGH

0:16:53 > 0:16:55..is possibly a little bit too keen!

0:16:55 > 0:16:59The large open-plan kitchen and living area is where the house

0:16:59 > 0:17:01really begins to put its best foot forward.

0:17:01 > 0:17:02Oh, how lovely.

0:17:02 > 0:17:05- JESSIE GASPS - I love the kitchen.

0:17:05 > 0:17:07- Look at the rounded cupboard. - Oh, my God.

0:17:07 > 0:17:10The dining area's gorgeous as well.

0:17:10 > 0:17:12- I want to move in like... - Now!- Yeah!

0:17:13 > 0:17:16Even just looking out, sitting down on the sofa...

0:17:16 > 0:17:18Can look out. It's just beautiful.

0:17:18 > 0:17:20Just onto the balcony.

0:17:21 > 0:17:24- Oh, I could see myself living here. - Shall we go and have a look?

0:17:25 > 0:17:29But it's outside the piece de resistance lies in wait.

0:17:30 > 0:17:32- Oh, wow.- Wow.

0:17:32 > 0:17:35Kind of want to get in it right now!

0:17:35 > 0:17:36So, can we move in today?

0:17:38 > 0:17:40Oh, that is lovely.

0:17:40 > 0:17:42The whole family are smitten.

0:17:42 > 0:17:45If it's over budget, I think we need to look at

0:17:45 > 0:17:48selling everything that we've got back in the UK...

0:17:49 > 0:17:51..and getting down here as soon as possible.

0:17:51 > 0:17:54- JESSIE LAUGHS - Kuba's already moved in!

0:17:54 > 0:17:57Today has made it more real than ever...

0:17:57 > 0:17:59that we could potentially live a lifestyle like this.

0:17:59 > 0:18:02Not quite so fast, Jessie!

0:18:02 > 0:18:06First you need to find out if your budget of £250,000

0:18:06 > 0:18:09could cover the cost of this promising property.

0:18:09 > 0:18:12Overall, it's stunning.

0:18:12 > 0:18:14- There's no faults. - Yep, you're right.

0:18:14 > 0:18:17Everything that we want is here...

0:18:17 > 0:18:18and more.

0:18:18 > 0:18:19Yeah.

0:18:19 > 0:18:23The one thing that makes me nervous now is the price.

0:18:23 > 0:18:25I'm going to go...

0:18:26 > 0:18:29..£265,000.

0:18:29 > 0:18:33I've got a feeling it's at least 50 grand more than the previous one.

0:18:33 > 0:18:36So I want to go a little bit more than that and go...

0:18:38 > 0:18:40..285,000.

0:18:40 > 0:18:41OK.

0:18:41 > 0:18:43Ready? Yeah?

0:18:43 > 0:18:45- Yeah. - I'm really nervous!

0:18:50 > 0:18:53- Hey!- Wow!- I love that price!

0:18:53 > 0:18:54I'm shocked!

0:18:54 > 0:18:58That's just £2,000 over their budget.

0:18:58 > 0:19:02That's just incredible. I was not expecting that at all.

0:19:02 > 0:19:04- I'm nervous...- Wow.

0:19:04 > 0:19:07We can potentially buy this house and have a good life...

0:19:07 > 0:19:09- Yeah.- ..in Australia.

0:19:09 > 0:19:11It's suddenly become very real.

0:19:19 > 0:19:22To see if they can top house two, the family travel

0:19:22 > 0:19:24to what we think could be their dream home.

0:19:24 > 0:19:28It's located in Flagstaff Hill - a leafy suburb

0:19:28 > 0:19:31that caters well to families with sporting clubs, schools

0:19:31 > 0:19:33and shops on the doorstep.

0:19:33 > 0:19:36From outside, the two-storey house has the entire family

0:19:36 > 0:19:38grinning from ear-to-ear,

0:19:38 > 0:19:39especially Jessie.

0:19:39 > 0:19:41It's absolutely stunning.

0:19:41 > 0:19:43I told you, it could only be a dream house,

0:19:43 > 0:19:45- if it is a two-storey house.- Yeah.

0:19:45 > 0:19:48- It's massive.- It looks lovely. Look at the windows as well.

0:19:48 > 0:19:51However, the inside isn't quite what they imagined.

0:19:51 > 0:19:52Oh, wow.

0:19:52 > 0:19:55- I wasn't expecting this. - That's quite strange.

0:19:55 > 0:19:57It's nice strange though.

0:19:57 > 0:20:00Heading straight upstairs, are the bedrooms up to scratch?

0:20:00 > 0:20:02This is a really nice room.

0:20:02 > 0:20:04Got good windows.

0:20:04 > 0:20:06- I'm not really feeling this room. - No?

0:20:06 > 0:20:08No.

0:20:08 > 0:20:12OK, so Kevin's not getting the right feeling.

0:20:12 > 0:20:16But with five bedrooms in total, will the others float his boat?

0:20:16 > 0:20:18- Smallish room really. - It is.

0:20:18 > 0:20:19Oh, dear.

0:20:19 > 0:20:23In bedroom three, the reaction continues to be a little lacklustre.

0:20:23 > 0:20:25This one works better.

0:20:25 > 0:20:29- It does.- Still...- Where we've looked, the space could be better.

0:20:29 > 0:20:30Still quite small.

0:20:30 > 0:20:33It's not until they get to the master bedroom with en suite,

0:20:33 > 0:20:38that they begin to appreciate what the house could offer them.

0:20:38 > 0:20:39This is a nice bedroom.

0:20:39 > 0:20:41This excites me.

0:20:41 > 0:20:44This en suite, the bedroom, everything.

0:20:44 > 0:20:47- The rest of the house needs to be worked around this room.- Yeah.

0:20:47 > 0:20:48- These rooms.- Yeah.

0:20:48 > 0:20:49Oh, that's nice though.

0:20:49 > 0:20:52Oh, that is so pretty looking over at the pool.

0:20:52 > 0:20:55But whilst the bedroom's balcony gets Kuba's thumbs up...

0:20:55 > 0:20:57Out here is really nice.

0:20:57 > 0:21:00..this is one road that's just too close for comfort.

0:21:00 > 0:21:02Can't get peace and quiet.

0:21:02 > 0:21:06- I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. - No.- There's too much noise.

0:21:07 > 0:21:09Back downstairs,

0:21:09 > 0:21:12the generously sized open-plan living room, kitchen and diner

0:21:12 > 0:21:14perks everyone up.

0:21:17 > 0:21:18It's lovely.

0:21:18 > 0:21:19- Look at that.- What's that?

0:21:19 > 0:21:21Oh, wow.

0:21:21 > 0:21:23- Wow, that's nice.- That is beautiful.

0:21:23 > 0:21:24- It's gorgeous.- Love the kitchen.

0:21:24 > 0:21:28- Kitchen's gorgeous. - Beautiful. It's a great size.

0:21:28 > 0:21:30Outside, while the pool area looks great...

0:21:30 > 0:21:32Nice and deep, the pool. You can kind of...

0:21:32 > 0:21:35The pool looks very nice.

0:21:35 > 0:21:36It's nice.

0:21:36 > 0:21:38- It is nice. - CAR ENGINE RUMBLES

0:21:38 > 0:21:41..the road noise just can't be ignored.

0:21:42 > 0:21:43That's too noisy.

0:21:46 > 0:21:50Sadly, that noise from the road is just driving me crazy

0:21:50 > 0:21:51and it's coming again.

0:21:52 > 0:21:53You can't relax in that.

0:21:53 > 0:21:55No.

0:21:55 > 0:21:57So, while it may not be for them,

0:21:57 > 0:22:02could they afford this house with their budget of £250,000?

0:22:02 > 0:22:05This one I think is about £317,000.

0:22:05 > 0:22:08I don't think it's as high as yours.

0:22:08 > 0:22:10- I'm going for 305,000. - OK.

0:22:10 > 0:22:12- OK, Kieran, do the honours.- OK.

0:22:15 > 0:22:18Ready?

0:22:18 > 0:22:20- Wow.- Oof!

0:22:20 > 0:22:23That's £104,000 over budget.

0:22:24 > 0:22:26Do you know what?

0:22:26 > 0:22:30- I'm glad we liked the second house more.- Yeah.

0:22:30 > 0:22:33You save £100,000 for liking a house in our range.

0:22:36 > 0:22:39It's been a day of highs and lows hunting for property

0:22:39 > 0:22:42in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

0:22:42 > 0:22:44Property one felt too much like an apartment,

0:22:44 > 0:22:47despite the roof deck getting the thumbs up.

0:22:47 > 0:22:49Property two was the real winner

0:22:49 > 0:22:52with its large open-plan kitchen diner

0:22:52 > 0:22:55and a pool that got the whole family smiling.

0:22:55 > 0:22:57And property three failed to win approval

0:22:57 > 0:23:01with the neighbouring road creating a racket the family couldn't ignore.

0:23:01 > 0:23:05So, how will everyone vote when it comes to properties -

0:23:05 > 0:23:06home or away?

0:23:07 > 0:23:10Based on the properties we've seen today, our votes goes to...

0:23:18 > 0:23:19- Australia!- Australia.

0:23:19 > 0:23:21Undecided.

0:23:21 > 0:23:22Really?!

0:23:22 > 0:23:23Why? What's...?

0:23:23 > 0:23:26Of the three, I thought there was one that was nice

0:23:26 > 0:23:29and the other two didn't satisfy me at all.

0:23:29 > 0:23:33- Doesn't that second one satisfy you enough to think...?- A lot.

0:23:33 > 0:23:35- But why is it in the middle? - Well done, Kuba.

0:23:35 > 0:23:38I'm glad to see that you've done that.

0:23:38 > 0:23:41- You've decided Australia. - Only for houses though.

0:23:41 > 0:23:44I'm not sure about the lifestyle and stuff yet.

0:23:45 > 0:23:48That's not bad. Three and a half out of four's not bad.

0:23:48 > 0:23:50It's a good start.

0:23:51 > 0:23:52I love it. I absolutely love it.

0:23:52 > 0:23:54- I can see us living here.- Yep.

0:23:54 > 0:23:57- Look at the sunset.- It's beautiful. - That is gorgeous.

0:24:10 > 0:24:13Jessie and Kevin may have found their ideal home,

0:24:13 > 0:24:15but if they're to afford it, finding the right jobs

0:24:15 > 0:24:18with the right salaries will be vital.

0:24:24 > 0:24:28Back in the UK, Kevin runs his own fitness company he's built up

0:24:28 > 0:24:30over the last ten years.

0:24:30 > 0:24:32Very good! Impressed!

0:24:32 > 0:24:35I love what I do. It's not work, it's play.

0:24:35 > 0:24:37I get to come out, I get to talk about the things

0:24:37 > 0:24:39that I want to talk about.

0:24:40 > 0:24:43It's just something that I just absolutely love doing.

0:24:43 > 0:24:46A move down under would mean a daunting process,

0:24:46 > 0:24:49having to re-establish the business from scratch.

0:24:49 > 0:24:52The thought of starting over again excites me.

0:24:52 > 0:24:55But it's in a different place, it's a completely different environment.

0:24:55 > 0:24:58What's going to happen? I don't know, it's very scary.

0:25:01 > 0:25:05Jessie works with Kevin looking after the marketing side of the business.

0:25:05 > 0:25:08Working and living with Kevin is interesting.

0:25:08 > 0:25:12We have different ideas on how the business should be run.

0:25:12 > 0:25:13But in Australia,

0:25:13 > 0:25:17she'd like to return to her former profession as a scientist.

0:25:17 > 0:25:20I got a degree in forensic science and that's where my passion lies.

0:25:20 > 0:25:22I'd like to do...

0:25:23 > 0:25:26..some form of research and development.

0:25:26 > 0:25:28Something that's going to help the world of science.

0:25:33 > 0:25:37It a big day for the couple investigating work possibilities

0:25:37 > 0:25:38in Adelaide.

0:25:38 > 0:25:42Kevin's anxious today could make or break their dream.

0:25:42 > 0:25:45If we don't get the work that we want, the jobs that we want,

0:25:45 > 0:25:47then we don't get the house, the location.

0:25:47 > 0:25:49We don't get to move here.

0:25:49 > 0:25:51It could be as serious as that.

0:25:51 > 0:25:53With a degree, Jessie's the main visa applicant

0:25:53 > 0:25:56and is feeling the burden of responsibility.

0:25:56 > 0:25:58I think it's down to me.

0:25:58 > 0:26:01I feel the pressure's on to kind of provide for the family.

0:26:01 > 0:26:03If they do make the move to Adelaide, until his

0:26:03 > 0:26:07new fitness business got up and running, Kevin would work as a coach.

0:26:07 > 0:26:10So, we sent him to the Corporate Health Group

0:26:10 > 0:26:13who provide fitness programmes to large businesses.

0:26:13 > 0:26:16First up, he gets a tour with one of the team leaders, Amy.

0:26:16 > 0:26:19- OK, so this is our gym area.- Yeah.

0:26:19 > 0:26:21You can see a good pool facility that we also have.

0:26:21 > 0:26:23I have a team of eight health professionals

0:26:23 > 0:26:26with a very similar background to yours

0:26:26 > 0:26:30and we roll out a range of different services to improve

0:26:30 > 0:26:33the health of South Australia's working population.

0:26:33 > 0:26:36Kevin also meets Clinical Services Director Sandra

0:26:36 > 0:26:39and he's eager to know if his fitness qualifications

0:26:39 > 0:26:40would be valid in Australia.

0:26:42 > 0:26:48Your qualification would be recognised with a couple of caveats.

0:26:48 > 0:26:52You can gain an Australian fitness certificate and once you have that,

0:26:52 > 0:26:57then you would be able to work in a range of organisations.

0:26:57 > 0:26:58That's good to hear.

0:26:58 > 0:27:01Next, Kevin asks about his potential earnings.

0:27:01 > 0:27:03What kind of salary would I expect for that?

0:27:03 > 0:27:05Working on a full-time basis,

0:27:05 > 0:27:08around 55,000 per year.

0:27:09 > 0:27:14That's about £27,000 - just a tad short of the £30,000 he earns

0:27:14 > 0:27:17from running his business.

0:27:17 > 0:27:20It's not a bad wage, really, for the type of work that we do.

0:27:20 > 0:27:23And finally, is there a job with Kevin's name on it?

0:27:23 > 0:27:25We have a very large number of staff

0:27:25 > 0:27:28and we would certainly be very interested in meeting with you

0:27:28 > 0:27:32and looking at potential employment in the future with you.

0:27:32 > 0:27:34Excellent. Thank you.

0:27:34 > 0:27:36It's just the news that Kevin's been hoping for.

0:27:36 > 0:27:40He's wanted down under and he's happy with the wages.

0:27:40 > 0:27:43Will the picture be as rosy for Jessie?

0:27:43 > 0:27:46She's visiting an Adelaide pathology service

0:27:46 > 0:27:49where she meets the expat managing director.

0:27:49 > 0:27:52- Hi, I'm Jessie. - Hi, Jessie, I'm Ken Barr.

0:27:52 > 0:27:54She's keen to know if her forensic science degree

0:27:54 > 0:27:56is transferrable to Australia.

0:27:56 > 0:27:58Jessie, you'd need to take advice on that.

0:27:58 > 0:28:00Skills for All is a government agency

0:28:00 > 0:28:03that provides help and advice on those sort of issues, and also

0:28:03 > 0:28:06the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists

0:28:06 > 0:28:08will also take a look at your degree and decide

0:28:08 > 0:28:11whether or not that's suitable or not suitable.

0:28:11 > 0:28:14Mmm. That's not quite as clear-cut as she might hope.

0:28:14 > 0:28:17But as Ken explains, she does have other options.

0:28:17 > 0:28:20There's always the technical officer route.

0:28:20 > 0:28:23They do a lot of work in terms of helping the scientists

0:28:23 > 0:28:27in the laboratory to make sure that samples are ready.

0:28:27 > 0:28:30It definitely sounds like the route for me.

0:28:30 > 0:28:32So, things are looking up.

0:28:32 > 0:28:34But what about her earning capacity?

0:28:34 > 0:28:36Technical officer...

0:28:36 > 0:28:39Entry grade's around 40,000, goes up to about 55,000.

0:28:39 > 0:28:43That's between about £20,000 and £27,000.

0:28:43 > 0:28:47- That's a starting point for me. I'm happy with that.- Yeah, absolutely.

0:28:47 > 0:28:50Both Kevin and Jessie have been far from disappointed

0:28:50 > 0:28:51with what they've discovered today.

0:28:51 > 0:28:54So, will that translate into votes for Australia?

0:29:02 > 0:29:04- BOTH:- Australia.

0:29:04 > 0:29:06- Wow.- Really?

0:29:06 > 0:29:07- Seriously?- Not a surprise.

0:29:07 > 0:29:09It's good news. It's been a good day.

0:29:09 > 0:29:11You looked pretty happy when I saw you.

0:29:11 > 0:29:14It's given me my oomph to get back on the career ladder.

0:29:14 > 0:29:16Two days in a row with good news.

0:29:16 > 0:29:18That's not bad, is it?

0:29:18 > 0:29:20It's pretty good.

0:29:23 > 0:29:27With work opportunities proving positive, Kevin and Jessie's dream

0:29:27 > 0:29:32of a new life down under could be one step closer to becoming a reality.

0:29:32 > 0:29:36The couple are passionate about their family leading an active existence.

0:29:36 > 0:29:40So, will a day exploring the outdoor lifestyle Australia could offer,

0:29:40 > 0:29:44convince everyone the country's where their future lies?

0:29:47 > 0:29:50The family head out of the city into the Adelaide Hills

0:29:50 > 0:29:52where they visit Four Oaks Farm.

0:29:52 > 0:29:55First up, they make some furry friends.

0:29:58 > 0:30:02Before meeting perhaps the best known Australian animal of all.

0:30:07 > 0:30:11The day outdoors is just what Jessie hoped it would be.

0:30:11 > 0:30:13Today... It's been perfect.

0:30:16 > 0:30:18Seeing everyone so happy....

0:30:18 > 0:30:20I can't put it into words

0:30:20 > 0:30:23how important it was for me to have that family time.

0:30:23 > 0:30:25And it's quality time, isn't it?

0:30:25 > 0:30:27Next, they saddle up and prepare for a ride through

0:30:27 > 0:30:29the Australian bush.

0:30:29 > 0:30:31Oosh!

0:30:32 > 0:30:35While Kuba and Jessie are old-timers, for Kevin,

0:30:35 > 0:30:37this is his first time on horseback.

0:30:37 > 0:30:40- So, hold on to that as well? - Yeah, you can if you want.

0:30:40 > 0:30:41Hold on to everything possible!

0:30:43 > 0:30:45Absolutely loved today. Bit nervous about the horse riding,

0:30:45 > 0:30:48but really enjoyed it. Yeah, it's been good.

0:30:48 > 0:30:50Reminiscent of her earlier life in Wales,

0:30:50 > 0:30:54the Australian lifestyle gets a big thumbs up from Kuba too.

0:30:54 > 0:30:56It, like, brings back your memories of Wales,

0:30:56 > 0:30:58but then it's also like totally different.

0:30:58 > 0:31:01Like, I can imagine in summer with the beaches and stuff.

0:31:01 > 0:31:03Time spent together has given the whole family

0:31:03 > 0:31:06the opportunity to think about where they might be spending

0:31:06 > 0:31:08the rest of their lives.

0:31:08 > 0:31:11Kieran feels pulled in two directions.

0:31:11 > 0:31:13If I come to Australia, I'm leaving behind

0:31:13 > 0:31:17all the family - my grandparents and my friends at home.

0:31:17 > 0:31:20If I stay at home, then I'm losing Jessie, Kevin, Jay and Kuba

0:31:20 > 0:31:23and it's really tough.

0:31:23 > 0:31:25Splitting Kieran and Kuba up is something Jessie

0:31:25 > 0:31:27can't bear to think about.

0:31:29 > 0:31:31Kieran is like my son.

0:31:31 > 0:31:33He's always been treated as such.

0:31:35 > 0:31:37It would be really hurtful saying goodbye to him.

0:31:37 > 0:31:40Just, like, taking the two people that are consistent

0:31:40 > 0:31:42in our family and tearing them apart

0:31:42 > 0:31:45and you feel bad about that, yeah.

0:31:45 > 0:31:46Sure.

0:31:46 > 0:31:48I would miss Kieran cos, like, we're really close

0:31:48 > 0:31:50and I see him every day.

0:31:50 > 0:31:52I'll miss Kuba as well, obviously.

0:31:53 > 0:31:55I don't... I hate to admit it, but I would.

0:31:56 > 0:31:59The reality of moving is hitting everyone hard.

0:31:59 > 0:32:03Kevin has serious concerns over what leaving his family behind

0:32:03 > 0:32:04would mean.

0:32:04 > 0:32:06I have my aunt...

0:32:07 > 0:32:10..and I'd miss her greatly.

0:32:10 > 0:32:12She's the closest thing I've got.

0:32:17 > 0:32:19Yeah, it'd be tough.

0:32:25 > 0:32:29The whole family are clearly torn, struggling with a difficult decision.

0:32:29 > 0:32:32But based solely on lifestyle, how will they vote?

0:32:33 > 0:32:36Based on the lifestyle we've experienced here today,

0:32:36 > 0:32:37our vote goes to...

0:32:46 > 0:32:48- Australia!- Australia!

0:32:48 > 0:32:50What made you vote undecided?

0:32:50 > 0:32:52Because, you know, I thought the horse...

0:32:52 > 0:32:54These are things that we could do in England.

0:32:54 > 0:32:57You know, horse riding, Kuba's done it since she was a kid.

0:32:57 > 0:32:59You're halfway, so I'm always happy with that.

0:32:59 > 0:33:02Find the right interest for you and I think you would have been

0:33:02 > 0:33:04swayed by the Australia vote.

0:33:04 > 0:33:06- Another positive day.- Yes, it has been good.

0:33:06 > 0:33:11And considering it's meant to be their cold season, it has been a really nice day.

0:33:11 > 0:33:13And no-one fell off the horse.

0:33:19 > 0:33:22Despite Keiran's doubts, Jessie

0:33:22 > 0:33:26and Kevin are more hopeful than ever their dream could be within reach.

0:33:26 > 0:33:29However, if it is to become a reality,

0:33:29 > 0:33:32the finances will need to stack up.

0:33:32 > 0:33:36They think their home in the UK is worth around £250,000.

0:33:36 > 0:33:40To see if their valuation is accurate, we sent round two estate agents.

0:33:41 > 0:33:43- I'm nervous already.- It's strange. - Yeah.

0:33:43 > 0:33:45Quite a decent size, a nice bay window here,

0:33:45 > 0:33:49- creating lots of light into the room.- It is so strange.

0:33:49 > 0:33:52- So different. - This is a really lovely room.

0:33:52 > 0:33:54Good size master bedroom,

0:33:54 > 0:33:56and the views of the park are absolutely stunning.

0:33:56 > 0:33:59This is a really good indicator of what the property will

0:33:59 > 0:34:03- look like when the work has been finished.- That's nice to hear.

0:34:03 > 0:34:06'OK, so we've got the third bedroom here.'

0:34:06 > 0:34:09Obviously, at the moment, used as a storage room.

0:34:09 > 0:34:10THEY LAUGH

0:34:10 > 0:34:12So, rear garden.

0:34:12 > 0:34:15- Oh, the back garden. - Not a bad size at all.

0:34:15 > 0:34:18Needs a bit of work doing to it.

0:34:18 > 0:34:21That proves we are having a lot of work done on it.

0:34:21 > 0:34:24I would recommend an asking price of 239,950,

0:34:24 > 0:34:27with a quick sale price of £224,950.

0:34:27 > 0:34:30If the building work is completed to a satisfactory standard,

0:34:30 > 0:34:33I would market this property at 225.

0:34:33 > 0:34:34To achieve a quick sale,

0:34:34 > 0:34:37then I would recommend a figure of 215,000.

0:34:37 > 0:34:39I don't think they valued it correctly. I think

0:34:39 > 0:34:42they've gone on...really,

0:34:42 > 0:34:45the influence of what they can see at the time.

0:34:45 > 0:34:49What they need to see is the work we've done to the master bedroom.

0:34:49 > 0:34:52That's how the entire house will look.

0:34:52 > 0:34:54I think if they realised that, then they would probably come up

0:34:54 > 0:34:56with a different value.

0:34:56 > 0:34:59The disappointingly low valuations are the last thing Jessie

0:34:59 > 0:35:01and Kevin wanted to hear.

0:35:01 > 0:35:05Next, they sit down to compare the cost of living in Australia

0:35:05 > 0:35:08with the UK, starting with the weekly food shop.

0:35:08 > 0:35:10I'm feeling nervous.

0:35:10 > 0:35:13Are you? That's interesting.

0:35:13 > 0:35:17Surf washing powder is cheaper in Australia.

0:35:17 > 0:35:19Kale is double in this country.

0:35:19 > 0:35:22It's looking like a lot more things are more expensive in Australia

0:35:22 > 0:35:25compared to back home. So, per week,

0:35:25 > 0:35:29we are £24.29 worse off.

0:35:29 > 0:35:33At around £100 per month extra on food alone,

0:35:33 > 0:35:36it leaves the couple slightly at odds.

0:35:36 > 0:35:39- It does change things a little bit, though.- Do you think?- Mm.

0:35:39 > 0:35:42I'm not concerned.

0:35:42 > 0:35:45Next, they move on to examine their bigger outgoings,

0:35:45 > 0:35:48basing their figures on the second home they viewed.

0:35:50 > 0:35:53- OK.- Well...

0:35:53 > 0:35:56it is a big difference in the mortgage.

0:35:56 > 0:35:59When all the large outgoings are taken into account,

0:35:59 > 0:36:01the difference is...

0:36:01 > 0:36:04£1,018...

0:36:04 > 0:36:08difference. So we are spending just over

0:36:08 > 0:36:13a grand more a month. That's quite a lot.

0:36:13 > 0:36:15It is a huge amount of money to be down.

0:36:15 > 0:36:18However, they both remain positive.

0:36:18 > 0:36:23We can get rid of things, but is that living the dream that we want?

0:36:23 > 0:36:26We are spending more to live better.

0:36:26 > 0:36:29- Yes, it is an upgrade.- Exactly.

0:36:29 > 0:36:30We've got to pay more.

0:36:30 > 0:36:34And we haven't taken into account what we'll be earning here.

0:36:34 > 0:36:37So, once their potential salaries are taken into account,

0:36:37 > 0:36:40what's the total figure?

0:36:40 > 0:36:43£344 better off.

0:36:44 > 0:36:49That's more than an extra £4,000 in their pocket each year,

0:36:49 > 0:36:51and they are delighted.

0:36:51 > 0:36:54It makes it much more...

0:36:54 > 0:36:56much more real now for us.

0:36:56 > 0:37:02We can actually do this, we can live how we have always wanted to.

0:37:02 > 0:37:04And be better off.

0:37:04 > 0:37:06That's ticking every single box.

0:37:11 > 0:37:14So, will it be a clean sweep as the couple

0:37:14 > 0:37:18choose between finances in the UK and Australia?

0:37:26 > 0:37:28- BOTH:- Australia.

0:37:28 > 0:37:29There's no surprise.

0:37:29 > 0:37:32THEY LAUGH

0:37:32 > 0:37:34You can't really argue with the figures, can you?

0:37:34 > 0:37:36No, no, it was all good.

0:37:45 > 0:37:48Whilst the week so far has shown the family how their prospects

0:37:48 > 0:37:50could improve with a move to Australia,

0:37:50 > 0:37:54one of their biggest mountains has yet to be climbed.

0:37:54 > 0:37:57The family sit down to watch messages from loved ones

0:37:57 > 0:37:58at home together.

0:37:59 > 0:38:01- ALL:- Hi, guys!

0:38:01 > 0:38:06We hope you are having a good time in Australia.

0:38:06 > 0:38:09Hi, guys. I hope you are all enjoying yourselves, especially you,

0:38:09 > 0:38:11Keiran, because football is not the same without you here.

0:38:11 > 0:38:15- They are funny. - Very, actually. Good one.

0:38:15 > 0:38:18Jess has always been very close to me.

0:38:18 > 0:38:21We've been like a mother and daughter relationship.

0:38:21 > 0:38:23It's always been a friendship as well.

0:38:23 > 0:38:28Kevin is very determined and he's just a lovely boy.

0:38:28 > 0:38:32She's more like a sister than a friend, and we just

0:38:32 > 0:38:36tell each other everything, and she's always been a part of our family.

0:38:36 > 0:38:41I don't want them to go, but I will miss them.

0:38:41 > 0:38:44If she's not there, I don't know what I'm going to do exactly,

0:38:44 > 0:38:48but, yeah, I will miss them terribly if they decided to leave.

0:38:48 > 0:38:53It is his dream, and I would no more stand back and hold him from that,

0:38:53 > 0:38:57but I can't help... It's the parting.

0:38:59 > 0:39:02So... I just...

0:39:02 > 0:39:07I love him so much, and he's like my own boy.

0:39:09 > 0:39:14We'd really miss them, especially the children.

0:39:14 > 0:39:17And they've always been around, and we haven't really,

0:39:17 > 0:39:19nowhere near spent as much time with Che.

0:39:21 > 0:39:22But...

0:39:22 > 0:39:26You know, if that's what the children want,

0:39:26 > 0:39:30and that's what will make them happy, and a better lifestyle,

0:39:30 > 0:39:32we're up for it.

0:39:33 > 0:39:36- How are you feeling? - I miss it more now.- Yeah.

0:39:36 > 0:39:39Since I've been here, I've tried to put it at the back of my mind.

0:39:39 > 0:39:42- I don't know if you guys have. I miss them now.- Yes.

0:39:42 > 0:39:47Just watching my dad on the TV, you just know he's upset.

0:39:47 > 0:39:50- The quieter he is. - If he's quiet, he's upset.

0:39:50 > 0:39:53Quiet. He doesn't deal with upset very well.

0:39:56 > 0:40:01It hurts, actually hurts when you watch it and to see them there.

0:40:01 > 0:40:05They give you the advice to just enjoy yourself, but...

0:40:05 > 0:40:06it still hurts.

0:40:09 > 0:40:12Throughout their week, Jessie and Kevin have been consistently

0:40:12 > 0:40:17sold on the potential new life they could be leading down under.

0:40:17 > 0:40:22But for Keiran and Kuba, it's been a very different story,

0:40:22 > 0:40:27with both having real concerns about leaving what they have in the UK.

0:40:27 > 0:40:29As their final decision draws closer,

0:40:29 > 0:40:34will the family face a future split on opposite sides of the world?

0:40:39 > 0:40:43Australia has certainly lived up to Kevin's expectations.

0:40:44 > 0:40:47The week has been fantastic.

0:40:47 > 0:40:50You've got more opportunities to do more things in the outdoors,

0:40:50 > 0:40:53knowing that you are properly not going to get affected by the weather.

0:40:53 > 0:40:56And it feels like everything is falling into place very well.

0:40:56 > 0:41:00I wasn't expecting everything to go so well. And it has. So that is good.

0:41:00 > 0:41:02And Jessie feels the country can deliver the future

0:41:02 > 0:41:06she so desperately wants for her children.

0:41:06 > 0:41:10I'm realising the quality of life Kuba could have is amazing.

0:41:10 > 0:41:12You know, she's always had good opportunities in life,

0:41:12 > 0:41:15we have given her everything. But

0:41:15 > 0:41:17can she do, or can she achieve, more?

0:41:17 > 0:41:20Yes. And the same for Che.

0:41:20 > 0:41:24But she understands this final vote could result in splitting up

0:41:24 > 0:41:27Kuba and Keiran.

0:41:27 > 0:41:30He's my little boy, that's all I can say.

0:41:30 > 0:41:33Him and Kuba are like brother and sister. He is like a son to me.

0:41:36 > 0:41:39It will be like tearing them apart if we decide to come here

0:41:39 > 0:41:40and he didn't.

0:41:40 > 0:41:43Keiran and Kuba realise opposing votes could mean

0:41:43 > 0:41:46a heart-wrenching separation from each other.

0:41:47 > 0:41:48We will miss each other.

0:41:48 > 0:41:51I mean, we were brought up like brother and sister.

0:41:51 > 0:41:53It will be really hard because he's like my friend,

0:41:53 > 0:41:56but then he is my family as well. He is like my brother.

0:41:56 > 0:42:00So it will be really hard because I won't have anybody else here.

0:42:00 > 0:42:03Whether the family will stay together rests on their final

0:42:03 > 0:42:05turn of the cards.

0:42:05 > 0:42:07Based on our experiences down under,

0:42:07 > 0:42:10our vote for the country we live in goes to...

0:42:19 > 0:42:22- ALL:- Australia.- Well done. I'm so happy.

0:42:22 > 0:42:24THEY LAUGH

0:42:24 > 0:42:27That's the best. That's good news. I'm so happy.

0:42:27 > 0:42:29Kuba, you voted undecided.

0:42:29 > 0:42:31Yes, I think I would eventually like to live here,

0:42:31 > 0:42:34but I'm not ready for it right now.

0:42:34 > 0:42:37How about being ready after the summer holidays in the UK?

0:42:37 > 0:42:41Experience an English summer and then come out here for their summer.

0:42:41 > 0:42:44- But then it is school...- That's a double summer in a year.

0:42:45 > 0:42:47I'm not sure yet.

0:42:47 > 0:42:49- I'm so pleased.- Thank you.

0:42:52 > 0:42:55You're going to be moving.

0:42:55 > 0:42:59It may not be a done deal quite yet, but who knows?

0:42:59 > 0:43:02With a little more time and persuasion,

0:43:02 > 0:43:06Kuba may come round to the idea of starting again down under.

0:43:06 > 0:43:10And with Jessie and Kevin having recently got engaged, we are

0:43:10 > 0:43:13sure the family will have a very bright future

0:43:13 > 0:43:16together on whichever side of the world they choose to spend it.
